Poetry month 2: electric boogaloo

i was talking about ruby 2.0 earlier today and it hit me: has anyone ever thought of rubylilith?

ⅰ. you first found me in the depths of damnation

lesser beings fled at your sight,

but you were the most beautiful despite

the way you lifted my chin, rubbing at the abrasions

you chose me to take up the cause

you saw my fire from within

ii. I was loyal to you, only you, and you knew

I was birthed from Hell’s weeping lips

and I will bring apocalypse,

because you believe in me to raise our king

I will not let you down

I stoke the fire from within

iii. blades and barbs strike my body

I am bruised by foe and kin alike,

but I have your love to hold me tight,

blessing me as your blood trickles onto the tile floor

iv. lord will not, cannot save me

I do not want saving, I do not need it

o, I am fire within

you love my fire from within

An Angel On The Bus

There's an angel on the bus today,

Coat rumpled as his hair,

He is special, yes, but just as much

As any person there.

Next to mother with her baby,

Next to disaffected teen,

Next to tired, poor and grubby,

Here the angel is serene.

Rests his head against the window,

Lets it rattle to his jaw,

Lets the world go by, decisions made

by councils years before.

There is comfort in the letting go,

Relinquishing control,

Only his the destination,

Not the tire on the road.

To be trusted is a kindness,

To be followed is a faith,

To become the one who cares, a choice

That anyone can make.

Sit beside me, gentle angel,

Let us share together peace,

Let the motion lull and rock us,

To a warm and restful sleep.

"colt — winchester revolver" — a poem about the colt and dean for yesterday's "weapons" prompt! (sorry to be a day late!)

sidenote: i couldn't find a real answer on what metal the colt in supernatural is made of? some colt paterson revolvers are made with steel and some with iron it seems so! idk! i went with iron cause it makes me think of blood and blood relations and all that good stuff ✌️

@spnpoetryrenaissance day 6: Shadows + escapril day 6: if I told you, you’d go mad

if I told you, you’d go mad so I told you that I heard;  yet the truth remains unsaid, just a quiet aftermath.  ‘cause there’s a shadow on my back, and a shadow up ahead, so I’m happy here to stay in the middle (with you) no, not happy though—glad, content and forever sad that’s how it goes; now, don’t be mad. it’s fine, I’m fine, okay that’s what we always say I’m the sacrifice today so sorry I can’t stay. ‘cause you don’t think  you deserve to be saved and maybe I  don’t wanna be saved so— you’d go mad if I told you and I’d be dead if I told you so I heard what you prayed but nothing more, nothing more.  there’s peace when we’re done and love means I’m done so I just leave a mark to tell you:  the circle renewed, all clad; God has won.  My love, it’s time to go mad.

I Know What Girl Means

I know what girl means.

Girl means lady to gentleman, sister to brother,

Girl means can't do this, and not that, or the other.

Girl means pat on the cheek and a whisky soaked leer,

Girl means that they talk like you're not really here.

So I'm not like that -

Look, hey, I'm not pleased to see you,

Look, a knife to her back,

Look, a palm for a slap.

Look, a bitch is a bitch - she's a pain in the ass!

Look, it isn't my fault if a slut's got no class.

See, they're laughing now, perfect, I'm in with the team,

Knocked out with a punchline, their hot, cool girl dream.

What's gender to a joker?

Knock knock, heard your wife's dead, she's gone up in smoke,

I mean nothing I say but I like that I spoke.

I know what girl means.

Or I used to, I think?

Girl means fluffy and giggly and kissing and pink.

And I don't want that, do I, it isn't allowed,

Girl means stuffing your hurt and your feelings way down,

Girl means rhyme without reason and reason sans rhyme -

Oh no - have I been a girl this whole time?

But I know what girl means -

Girl means what she says,

Girl is coddled and babied and cherished and dead,

Girl is underdeveloped,

Girl is flash on the film,

Girl is fractured and warped and too thin for the kiln.

So, look, really look, get that 360 view,

I can't be a girl, 'cause I'm so much like you.

Now look, look at me,
