Dream's Response Summary

Dream posted a response to various accusations, covering just about everything ever because he was done with this shit. I've done my best to summarize it here, but I recommend going and watching his whole video. This is going to be extremely summarized for readability and I'm only going to cover stuff I consider serious so anything about speedrunning is getting skipped.

The tl:dr is: Dream never groomed anyone or had inappropriate contact with anyone underage, he provided proof that one accuser flat out lied, and the other ""accusation"" was from a third party who was never involved. The actual supposed victim released a statement that they were never groomed, nor a victim in any way, never was asked about someone sharing information about them, and wants everyone to shut the fuck up.

Police were never actually contacted, both twitter accounts were lying about doing so to make their claims seem real. Also the supposed snapchat video shown is a very obvious fake.

He covers Manatreed, the run down is the guy was a childhood best friend he grew up with and who was struggling with homelessness. Dream helped him, and never knew about the battery charge (Manatreed had lied to him about it). When Dream spoke to Manatreed's ex girlfriend, she was very clear she never wanted any of this publicly out there, that she was happy that Dream had been helping Manatreed and she wanted the best for him.

Dream still doesn't know exactly what happened with that situation, he has since lost contract with Manatreed, all he knows is he was trying to help a childhood friend and got lied to.

The first allegation from Oxy/Anastasia, he's extremely clear they only ever messaged in twitter dms and he disproves the claim about the texts/tik tok. He has a google voice number hooked up to his tik tok account for obvious reasons, and she was showing imessage texts. This is not possible, which means she was lying.

As part of this, Dream scrolls through his twitter dms and shows he responds to fans all the time and talks to people in his community from all over. He also shows how he's friends with and has hired people that were fans of his, including people like Foolish.

He discusses Amanda, the two of them messaged on instagram back when he was a much smaller creator. He showed/posted the transcript of the two of them talking about normal stuff. They had been messaging since 2020. He did attempt to post a complete transcript of those messages, but she had deleted some of her messages and he doesn't have a way to recover them.

Dream explains that Instagram has a "feature" where if you ever reply to someone, then you literally cannot remove their ability to message you without blocking them. Something I did not know about instagram and which is fucking wild.

Since he replied to her in 2020, that meant she could message him forever and her notifications would be constantly showing up for him. He attempted to delete her messages/her ability to message him back in 2021 and showed proof of this, but realized he couldn't. Dream also in doing so accidentally deleted the context to her messages that she was a fan and basically everything prior to 2021.

Since he didn't remember her (what with the prior messages deleted), she was dmnig him from her personal account without fan content on it and was talking about being a streamer, he assumed she was a smaller streamer he knew and was talking to her as such.

They were talking about music so he gave her his personal snapchat to talk and because he wanted to get some feedback on a new song he was working on. He wanted to send the song via snapchat so he could be reasonably sure it'd stay private.

Dream categorically denies any sexting with Amanda or sexual messaging at all, he goes through why she most likely did this (he had been ignoring her messages and made a new snapchat with only close friends). He also downloaded his own data (something Amanda refused to/failed to do), went through the snapchat logs and did see some messages, but never saw either of his supposed compliments to her.

Amanda claimed Dream deleted her dms and that's why she couldn't provide any of the evidence she claimed she had, but Dream showed those same DMs very clearly undeleted. The dms were never deleted and she lied as an excuse.

Amanda lied about going to the police. Dream had his lawyers file a bunch of requests, and track down the police station that she went to based on the photo. They filed every request possible for any information with this police station, and there was no record of Amanda visiting the station or any records relating to Dream whatsoever. So either she lied about filing anything, or she told a story such that the police filed literally no paperwork whatsoever about the situation. Not even a report.

Dream sent the police station a copy of his own drivers license and Amanda's information so they could contact him if anything did come up, and nothing ever did. Nothing was filed, nobody cared.

Dream got swatted several times as a result of online harassment, including his family, and the harassment was overwhelming and awful for him.

He addresses the gumball situation, he showed up to a birthday party for a friend, gumball's VA was there and kept getting aggressive with him. While on facetime with some friends, Cantu ended up hitting Dream to impress them. Dream was obviously put off by this, but at the end of the night people ended up ubering together and Dream ended up in an uber with Cantu. He thought it'd be fine since other people were involved.

Cantu dropped his phone out the window made the uber driver pull over to look for it and got in trouble with the police. The uber driver tried to talk to Cantu about handling the police in the future, and Cantu started calling the uber driver slurs and claiming the uber driver had "down syndrome".

Dream got involved, trying to defend the uber driver, and Cantu threatened to kill him and called him slurs. Later Cantu apologized and Dream wanted to forgive him. Only later, Cantu started spreading lies about him and calling him a pedophile, so Dream realized the apology wasn't sincere and called him out for his behavior.

The third party who had been filming all of this saw what Cantu was doing lying about Dream and trying to claim none of this happened. They reached out to Dream and gave him the actual video as proof of what happened. Cantu tried to threaten them out of sending Dream the video of what happened, but they ignored him and sent them anyways. Dream also had the uber driver in his video backing up what he said.

Finally, the Jamie Allegations

Jamie is a mutual friend of several people that Dream knew, she did not post the allegations, she was never contacted about any of this she made an explicit statement that she was never groomed or a victim in any way.

Dream and Jamie meet prior to Dream being a youtuber on bbh's minecraft server, they were both fans of Skeppy. Which is why Jamie was followed by Dream, Skeppy, Vurb and some other youtubers in their friend group.

Jamie is still active online and put out her own statement, the person in the screenshots never gave permission for any of this to be put out, and they are very clear that the messages were taken out of context and that the claims made are false. The person in the screens is clear Dream is not a groomer, they never accused him of that, and that the twitter account is lying.

The snapchat video shown is very obviously fake, because snapchat just magically opens itself, there's no finger or button use interacting with the screen.

The burner account never actually contacted the police, Dream records him calling to the department they claimed to contact, and the person answering is very clear they have no contact from this person.

The supposed recent document posted is a fake convo of someone using a fake twitter account to talk to "Jamie", Jamie did not talk to them and it's just fake.

All of this was incredibly damaging for Jamie, who had no idea what was going on, and was getting harassed/stalked/having her irls contact.

Dream has also faced waves of harassment over obviously fake allegations, people have just been taking them at face value. He also shows how easy it is to fake these things as I have done.

He's been swatted, harassed, his family has been swatted and harassed, he's been scared for his own safety several times. It's been awful for him, and all based on fake shit. He's not stepping back from minecraft, but he is stepping back from twitter and no longer engaging with people behaving this way.

Also his ping pong record was undefeated.

Why must I go into heavy detail you ask? Well, I am actually unable to shut up so here it is them 10 TOP “there’s no chance this is a straight friendship” MOMENTS

“You can have my back any day” aka the enemies to lovers speedrun. The immediate feeling we’re supposed to get from the screen is jealousy. Buck is jealous of the new recruit because he’s hot, a medic, a veteran, whatever. I’ll give it to you children, he WAS jealous. But then they go on call and they get into immediate danger bc 911 is a drama and then Eddie’s very keen on being Buck’s partner. Nothing queer til then right? WRONG. Eddie’s line is pretty normal but the way Buck reacts isn’t. I have had my fair share of “huh this person I didn’t like is actually cool” moments but nEVER have I once sucked in a breath, forgot how to blink, rushed in my words OR stared at said person like I’d like for them to be my lover. Three points to Gayfindor.

“Is your son REALLY the reason you don’t date?” This line and the dialogue that follows makes absolutely no sense from the non-queer glass. Alright he asks bc he wants to know why two girls practically launched themselves at him and he declined (such a kind offer lmao) but… why are you standing so close? Why do you bump shoulders with him as you walk? Most importantly, what the FUCK does Eddie’s smirk mean after “they’re not my type either… not anymore.” Idk about you guys but when I’m not on the market I’m actually not in it 😀 and I don’t go around looking at my best friend like I’d consider fucking her (I’m actually kinda yikes about that thought bc she’s like my sister). Bottom line is: if you’re willing to fuck your best friend, there’s attraction. That scenes oozes attraction and I’d be willing to white glove challenge a body language reader.

The Tsunami. YES okay, there are far many moments in between but I also need to make this a somewhat readable list so here we go. We’re gonna pretend for a hot second Buck wants to save his best friend’s son, and not the child that he considers his own bc I’m tired. Let’s skip to the far end of this (be GrAtEfuL I’m skipping the whole sacrifice that this episode entailed. Buck was willing to die, to never sit down again if it meant looking for Chris [& the utter fear he has to face Eddie]. It’s a lot). Now, I do not OWN a child (thank god) but if I did, I wouldn’t be particularly comfortable with a simple friend from work taking care of them. They could be my very best friend from work and I’d still feel a little icky -at least nervous- about it. Yet Eddie not only takes Christopher back A F T E R the tsunami (Chris could’ve died and Eddie is nothing short of apprehensive), but he says ‘there’s no one I trust with my son more than you’. Um. Not his wife. Not his family (CHRIS’ family), not Abuela, not Tia Pepa. Buck. Who he… just met? Surely it isn’t bc he’s uncle buck… I don’t believe even Maddie has said that to Buck, where he’s actually, yknow, UNCLE BUCK. Co-parenting is not something done between a parent and a friend, and I know this shit bc my mom raised me with a few of her friends and guys,,, she never said that to any of them. Also Chris is practically never seen with anyone else from the 188firefam alone.

The Kitchen Scene™️. I have gone on rants about this before but truth be told THIS is the scene that conveys the MOST canonically sexual tension between them. We can joke about it all y’all want but this scene is unhinged. I don’t think Oliver and Ryan were aware that they should’ve been friends in this scene. The way the conversation shifts from apologetic sad puppy eyes to “you’re throwing your punches at the wrong guy” to I CAN TAKE YOU (???) you can what? “Oh you think?” “Oh I know” HELLO? Pls don’t even get me started on how Buck approaches Eddie, the way he’s puffy-chested, his hand on his belt, eyeing him up and down, nearly biting his lip, cocky grin,,,,, explain to me in hetero. I’m waiting😐 guys c’mon exPLAIN IT TO ME IN HETERO. The way Eddie glances to the side bc where’s Chris? And h o w he sips his beer right after, smirking, tiLTING His head. I’m sorry this is not straight in any way. I’m sorry you’re gonna have to accept this.

Clipboard Buck. Alright u got me!!! This one’s a lil silly, but so is my life, so it’s fair game. Clipboard Buck is annoying as fuck, he’s so fucking annoying. The entire firefam picks up on this, no one wants to be around,,,, except Eddie. You could argue that it’s bc he likes him as a friend and he’s just indulging …. 👁️👄👁️ sure but he also hides from Interim Captain Han soooo anyway what’s fun about this is how willing Eddie is to comply with everything he says. He’s basically twirling his hair, kicking his feet, smiling & blushing and “check!” 🧍🏽‍♀️ buck is kinky (that is canon e.g the ring cutter) and he gets high on authority and Eddie does backflips to meet his kinks. Exhibit 5 complete.

The Lawsuit Arc acka the first divorce era😔✊🏼. This one makes me rage a little bit because I get really upset at Buck for acting recklessly. Like baby let yourself HEAL. Anyway,,,, onto what brings us here 🥷🏼. It’s canon that the entire team is mad at Buck, they don’t really wanna bump into him, can’t really speak to him,,, but Eddie? Eddie’s filled with wrath. I cannot stress enough the fact that he uses Chris as an excuse “do you even know how much he misses you? how could you! you’re not here”. The way he expresses himself, and we’re choosing to ignore the fact that he HIMSELF misses Buck,, that’s how you talk to someone who has a responsibility with the child, not the fun coworker that randomly shows up @ your house with pizza every once in a while. “I couldn’t even call you to bail me out of jail”. He’s so u p s e t that for the first time they know each other he can’t rely on Buck when he’s hurting and in danger. And pls for the love of Jesus Christ my lord & savior don’t tell me that it’s a 118 thing bc he calls Ronda Rousey to come pick him up 🎅🏻 that grocery store scene is.. interesting.

Eddie Underground. Alright we’re getting serious now guys,,, might as well put on your thinking caps on this one. We all know the story, this isn’t a latest ep recap soooo The wAY Buck’s the ONLY ONE who desperately calls Eddie’s name when he’s fallen underground, amidst the heavy rain and dirt. Listen to me: he starts digging with his hands. With his bare hands I tell you!!!! 😩 Bobby has to physically pull him back as he cries on his lap. Buck is a smart man, he wouldn’t do something that’s completely illogic, he knows he can’t dig him out but he’s so desperate. His voice breaks, he can’t breathe, he becomes impulsive, reckless, impatient. Do I need to remind y’all the reason he wasn’t the one getting strapped to go underground??? “You’re not going down there. So we can have two cut off ropes?” Everyone knows he’s willing to sacrifice his integrity for Eddie bc his life doesn’t make sense without him. “We’ll get him back for you”

The Shooting + “I’ve made u my son’s dad lol”. When Eddie gets shot the world freezes for Buck. He’s left standing there, staring as Eddie’s blood splatters on him. He has to be tackled down. Even then, he’s unable to move, to breathe. He just looks as he bleeds out, and theN he snaps back into reality, bracing himself to go under the truck (foregoing his own trauma - I’ve said this before) and preparing for the amount of strength it’s gonna take to pull him under it. He screams at him to hold on, and later when he manages to pull him inside the truck he tells him he needs him to hang on. He rips his uniform open, he cries and screams,,, then Eddie wakes up, and he asks BUCK if HES okay. Bc he saw blood :( also as @butraura pointed out, he can’t die if Buck’s dying bc what about Chris? He only lets himself drift off when he knows Buck’s okay. Then we got The Will Reveal™️ also so unhinged. “You knew I wouldn’t turn it down” right what is this guys??? That was a year ago. He added him to his will A yEaR aGo. Idk about y’all but I haven’t added my friends to my will😀 also Buck’s the one who tells Chris ??? (I’m being very brief on this subject). Also “Because, Evan” shut up🧎🏽‍♀️

& 10. The Lightning Strike + “She sees me”. I’m doing these together bc I haven’t watched this episodes yet but I’m an addict so I’ve spoiled myself to the brim. The way Eddie screams Buck’s name, the way he saves him, “do more” h e l l o ?? The absolute PAIN in Eddie’s eyes, “you died Buck” “3 minutes and 17 seconds”, “his humor hasn’t changed” & the fact that he listens to Buck on his super genius math theory. And then Buck goes and says “I feel like Natalia sees me” ok. I mean my feelings mean nothing but Eddie’s face ??? That’s a man that knows he’s waited too long.

I rest my case. I’m missing a lot of scenes (like a lot omg Abby comes back, Buck under the Truck, Buck vomiting blood, the Taylor Arc) & y’all can argue in the comments about them, or add shit or try to dismantle mine, honestly the floor is yours idc wHat u do, just know you won’t convince me otherwise 🤸🏽these two are in love & that’s pretty much that on THAT. Hi! I saw you were talking about the Dream situation and wanted to put in my 2¢. (I saw you explain why you wouldn't watch the video and 100% agree so if you want to ignore this ask go right ahead o7)

Dream made some good points in his video. And some... less good ones. Almost all of his evidence is a) just his word, b) conversation logs that he typed himself in pastebin or c) statements supposedly from a victim but without any proof that it's actually them. Even the more sturdy evidence, the snapchat data, has been edited and cropped. Not a lot of hard evidence, and not enough for me to have a definitive opinion. (and I have to say, seeing how much he lied about the speedruning stuff does NOT make me believe he would just admit to sexting minors if it was true)

One thing I definitely have an opinion on, is the racist edits and comments he made in the past few years. Defending the use of the r slur, the cultural appropriation/ disrespecting Native American culture, plus all the sex jokes he made about his minor friends. And then the way he's aware his community regularly harasses and doxes people he respond to, and not only haven't stopped (even in the video), but said he found it "satisfying." All of that was in the last few years, and none of it have been addressed.

And, I don't know if he groomed anyone. But he clearly was messaging several fans of his (huge power imbalance), when they were minors and he was an adult, on SNAPCHAT. Like, that's not something responsible to do?

There's more but I think I've made my point. If he did it, I hope his victims get justice. If he didn't, good! Less suffering in the world. But I do not and will never like him or his fans

Context is suuuuper important when giving evidence and proofing your argument, and the fact that supposedly he's been cropping his without context does undermine his ethos which i assume he tried to create with these message logs. And yeah, his credibility would definitely only further reduced by previous lies told like that Speed-running one

I think talking to fans online asw is just a big no, now especially. Like, we've been through so many "x is found for messaging minors on Twitter/snap/blahblahblah", i think it's safe to say that creators will just interact with their fanbases waaay less on a personal level - which is an interesting mix of good-riddance, and a bit sad, considering lots of editors or YouTubers are given a platform through interacting with their favourite creators, i.e. Ranboo, who got a reply from Philza in the DMs abt one of his first MC vids, which kinda helped him keep creating

(Not sure if that makes much sense, but j so that it's v v v clear - I do not support messaging minors sexually - that's fucking weird and a BIG no-go!)

But specifically using that power imbalance when messaging fans, particularly to get something out of them is fundamentally wrong - especially when it is (as accused) for sexual purposes. Like, c'mon, just date someone in your age group? Is it really that hard to pull someone your own age?

I feel like I need to split this up into sections but as I'm writing this I have no clue what those sections will be. But they're all. General concepts.

BESTIE:

Best friends with Nihil for a long long time, Nihil is known and loved by his family.

They are roommates. They live in a shitty apartment together. They're in a shitty band together. They go to shitty parties together. They're having the time of their lives.

But he's like, hm, I do sort of want Nihil carnally but as far as I know I am not into men. They get drunk and make out constantly.

Nihil eventually comes around to telling him she's a girl and he's like OHHH THAT MAKES WAY MORE SENSE FOR ME, PERSONALLY.

Upon learning he is avoiding a sexuality crisis (for now. We'll get out the transbian beam in a minute) he's like okay, obviously we should have sex. Nihil also thinks this because she is bored and horny and thinks hey he's pretty sexy that would be fun. This is a great solution to the nights when neither of them experiences success with women.

So they fuck raw every single day basically.

It does not take long for them to individually figure out they are in love with each other but it does take them forever to say fucking anything about it.

There is a weird relationship limbo where they are really not sure if they're dating and are too scared to ask. Bestie has stopped trying to hit on other women.

Their friends in their shitty rock band do not understand what their dynamic is and they are trying to piece it together from context clues and it just is not happening. They are also confused about Nihil's general gender situation but they are beyond asking questions.

BESTIE IS PRIMO'S DAD:

Despite the fucking raw every day they are somehow surprised when Nihil ends up pregnant (there is nary a brain cell between them).

Nihil is vomiting. They think it must be a stomach bug. And then she just keeps vomiting and now certain smells are making her nauseous that didn't before and her period is not making an appearance when it should be. And then they're like, don't think this one's a stomach bug, man.

Bestie is terrified for fatherhood.

But very excited!

Nihil has to speedrun going girlmode because pregnancy is not going to wait for that to get figured out.

Nihil, because of how she is, has about 50 books about pregnancy in her room. Bestie makes the mistake of reading one of them and is now gripped with anxieties about everything that could possibly go wrong.

Bestie tries to gather band friends without Nihil to tell them she's pregnant. They do not understand. He can see the gears trying to turn in their heads. It's not clicking. They are excited for this mystery baby regardless.

Bestie calls his family to explain that hey you know Nihil? Yeah you do. We're having a kid and also she's kind of my girlfriend not clear on that one yet. Try not to ask questions I do not have answers.

He wins some shitty arcade jewelry for them to wear as wedding rings to doctor appointments because they are already not stoked about this greasy freak having a kid with some nice girl but an unmarried greasy freak is worse.

They go to see Bestie's family for Christmas with baby Primo in hand. There are clearly questions. Nobody is going to ask. Bestie's siblings try to talk to Nihil like she's a new person and she's like, I have known you forever what are you fucking doing.

They can pawn off baby Primo on Bestie's extended family and cuddle and fall asleep by the fireplace together. They are so tired. Did you know having a baby is so hard.

BESTIE IS A VAMPIRE:

Bestie is at work exclusively talking about his girlfriend and how she is and how excited he is to go home and see her.

I don't have time or room to fit all of my nurse Nihil thoughts prompted by that other person in here. But please understand how much I thought about this concept.

Bestie is so into her and constantly brings home presents for her. Candy. Clothes.

Considering the way Belial talked about Lucilius in Lucifer's transcendence FE, it makes me wonder just how much older Belial is than Lucifer

If they actually spend some time together. Did they have time to do something NSFW? Belial said he liked his results quick 🤔

Of course it would be infinitely funnier if Belial had half a conversation with Lucilius about his purpose and then Lucilius remained glued to Lucifer's side, eagerly waiting for him to wake up. Honestly i love the idea of "Belial is older only by a few minutes and he's fucking with Lucifer by acting like he managed to get this close to Lucilius in the meantime", mostly because it gives the opportunity for "you'll understand when you're my age" and Lucifer waiting like two minutes before going "i'm your age now, i still don't understand"

But *coughs* that aside if Belial had spent more time with Lucilius... God imagine him already building up some resentment for Lucifer because he's barely born and then Lucilius spends like, the next week only looking at Lucifer. That'd explain Belial being a complete bitch to Lucifer when he wakes up because he's ALREADY developing an inferiority complex.

still it's funny just how quickly Belial decided to be The Worst personality wise according to this FE. Truly speedrun in "what's going to be my personality trait? Being annoying, got it." in the short time he was alive.

Honestly it's like. I still struggle to see Lucilius be sexually involved with anything or anyone but i STILL see him also use Belial to blow some steam, but would it be early enough for something to happen? (also "blowing out some steam" also coincide with "wanting result quickly", like, Lucilius is less about pleasure and more "let's do it quick so i can forget about it and ease my body up a bit", so i say Belial goes on with my HC)

But also no matter how "old" Belial is at this point it still feels so early for me on Lucilius's part so i'm also willing to think Belial is bullshitting already but. But bro how did you program sexy sexual man into it.

(i guess one possible interpretation is that Lucilius would have built both Belial and Lucifer based on the glimpses he had of Lucio's memories and probably spread things in between the two of them and huh oh accidental "memory of Shalem" poured like crazy when he built Belial and now he suffers from it and it has nothing to do with Belial himself)

CC's New Watch Ranking 2022: #1 - Belle de Jour

Every year on Letterboxd, I make a list of the 100 best films I’ve seen for the first time. It’s a fun way to compare movies separated in time, genre, and country of origin, and helps me keep track of what I’m watching! This is a series of posts about my Top 10.

I watched this during January of last year. In the back of my head, I compared every film I saw to this. I still do. Few films have played with truth, fantasy, and the space between them so deftly. The seamless transitions into imagination is what makes this film so great. It reflects the many selves we must navigate as we walk through the world. Our traumas, our hopes, our desires, and who we want to be to others, all become the shifting cascade of masks that we wear. Belle de Jour is a film about reckoning with why we wear the mask we do. What face we would wear, if we could. And what the nebulous thing beneath all the masks really is.

Belle de Jour is the story of a woman named Séverine, derived from the book of the same name. You may know it as the pseudonym for the author/protagonist of Secret Diary of a Call Girl. Séverine is a married woman in a boring relationship. She has no sexual connection with her husband. In her fantasies, she experiences scenes of erotic sadomasochism. Her boredom with her life, and the compulsion of her kinks, drive her towards a high-class brothel, where she secretly becomes a sex worker that goes by Belle de Jour - a twist on the euphemism belle de nuit. She explores this world and strikes up a romance with a dangerous criminal, who threatens to reveal her secrets.

Or… does she? Throughout the film we cut back to moments of her life with her husband, who seems completely unaware that his wife is gone at all while he’s not around. We cut a few time to true fantasies that could never have happened - scenes from the past, where she is whisked away to secret manors and taken by grinning servants. Is her time at the brothel another idle imagining? Or is that space real, and the boredom she sees in her vanilla relationship the fantasy she’s escaping to? Perhaps warning herself that a traditional life comes with traditional problems. The film offers no firm answers, and I wouldn’t want them if they were offered. 

One moment defines this entire movie for me. It is a flash of a childhood memory - likely not a fantasy, but who knows, given the nature of the brain. It appears to show Séverine about to be molested as a child. The moments passes through the film like a shock of lightning. It’s gone in a flash, but its afterimage burns. We understand so much of Séverine through this moment. It explains so much of the compulsions she faces, why there’s this thorn in her mind that she needs to keep going back to poke at. We see her reality, her memories, and fantasies not as separate spheres, but as a whole united experience that defines her being. 

Around the time I watched this, I was reading The Body Keeps The Score. While there is, justifiably, controversy and concern over some aspects of the book’s lessons, I have to admit, it was a life changing experience for me. I was healing from a surgery at the time. The incision point became infected, preventing me from being able to walk for about two weeks. I could do nothing but lay in bed, reading, watching movies, or wrestling with my thoughts. I started up with a new therapist not too long after - I was truly speedrunning the cycle of confrontation and reconciliation with my body and memories. 

The surgery forced me to spend time doing literally nothing but heal. This drove me insane. I have spent so long trying to find any distraction to avoid giving myself rest. I always tell myself I need to work harder, that I never do enough, that any moment not spent towards some project is a wasted, lazy impulse. My self-narrative is overwhelmingly negative. I liken this to spinning my wheels in mud - I keep pushing myself harder, keep the foot on the gas, trying to get out from where I am, but this just makes me sink back deeper. That surgery really forced me to take a step back and look at my life. At all the patterns I was subsumed in. 

That time spent in bed was a dizzying cloud of memories, hopes, realities, and fantasies. It aligned me to really understand what Séverine was experiencing. Asking what is real in a movie can be so limiting to what the film is actually saying. As I write this there’s some discourse brewing about whether we should read all of Tár as a dream. The suggestion misses the point of film, of cinema itself. Who cares if it’s just a fantasy? Who cares about solving the particulars of what is happening where and when, of measuring the exact probability of a certain scene. The experience is what matters. Cinema is a medium like no other that can create feelings in your mind. Poetry might be the thing that comes closest. It speaks in a language you have to align yourself towards, and there’s immense pleasure in going back to revisit the message again. When I watch Belle de Jour, I’m not thinking about the specific scenes that “actually happened.” I’m not trying to pick apart which moment is the wet dream and which is a real afternoon. I’m taking all the ideas and suggestions in stride and synthesizing them into a grand experience, a cascade of events. 

You don’t have to be recovering from a surgery or confronting your trauma to get that same experience from the film. Buñuel is a genius of cinema, and his entire career has been exploring montage as a way to activate sensations and memories. Anyone who gives themselves in to this movie will be able to experience it. While that painful, dark memory contextualizes everything Séverine goes through, it does not take away from the other moments of joy and excitement she experiences, too. She seeks to understand and define her life in full acknowledgement of who she is. She may not have been in control of all the things stirring around inside her, but she has the ability to make her life what she wants moving forward. We could all learn from that. She chooses to be a woman of the day, living in the full brightness of being. For any uncertainty the film contains, we can rest assured that Séverine knows herself. That is the base from which we can all reinvent ourselves.

dream controversy stream summary

He went tweet by tweet through the last few days with screenshots and explained why he said what he said, and what he was responding to. He stated he was not apologising for the tweets regarding his sexuality or his response, only explaining, and he believes those calling him homophobic for speaking out about his sexuality and attraction are the ones in the wrong, not him. He apologised for his private tweets, saying he hasn’t thought about how deactivation could’ve been out of fear of harassment, and said he’d seen at as an unwillingness to stick by their words, but he apologised for saying it. He stated that he doesn’t support doxxing or harassment, and anyone that participated in that is not welcome in his community. He gave a (admittedly poorly worded) reassurance to anyone who had been doxxed, saying that, as someone that had been doxxed, people that weren’t public figures shouldn’t be too worried and should try to ignore doxxing if it does happen, as it’s unlikely to result in anything if you aren’t in the public eye. He restated his condemning of doxxers and harassment. He addressed the BBH mlg edit, apologised for the possibility that he’d included racist imagery in that video (he maintains he doesn’t remember what he put in it, and therefore can’t confirm whether that image was initially in the video, or if it had been edited to incriminate him) and explained that he’d done a lot of things as a teenager he wasn’t proud of, and would continue to apologise for things that he’s done that do not fit his beliefs as he’s grown up. He re-addressed the speedrun cheating scandal, stating that he had no ill will toward anyone that criticised him for it. The remainder of the stream was spent talking directly to his fanbase, explaining that the people who he regularly creates content with are his friends, and regardless of your opinion of them, he doesn’t want them to be sent hate. He continued to say that regardless of whether someone is his friend or not, he wants his platform and his community to be one of love, and condemned hate being sent to anyone, regardless of what they’d done.

Twitch streamer narcissawright, famous for their Ocarina of Time speedruns, has threatened to “shoot people” at Twitch HQ after being banned from the platform.

Narcissawright was an accomplished speedrunner and known mainly for her The Legend of Zelda: OOT speedruns. In 2014, Narcissa – then known as CosmoWright – earned the world record for OOT with a run of 18 minutes and 10 seconds.

In late 2015, the streamer moved away from speedrunning and began their transition changing their name to Narcissa. She was then banned from Twitch in 2018 for violating the platform’s guidelines regarding nudity and sexual content.

She returned to Twitch on March 19, 2022, to stream a variety of content from Just Chatting streams to playing Zelda: BOTW. But a recent ban has caused Narcissa to take to Twitter to threaten self-harm and take a gun to Twitch HQ.

On March 21, narcissawright was banned from Twitch.

Viewers claim she opened a link on stream that contained content that violated Twitch’s TOS. This has happened to a number of streamers in the past and warrants a minor suspension under the platform’s accidental nudity policy.

Following the ban, the streamer posted several tweets reading, “the internet is hell”, “real life is hell, too” and “@twitch makes me want to DIE!!!!!”

In a fourth tweet, Narcissa expressed she wanted to kill herself and also threatened a shooting at Twitch HQ. She wrote, “I want to kill myself and shoot people at the twitch HQ!!! hahahaah!!”

While Narcissa’s threats are alarming, many of her fans and former viewers have expressed concern for her mental well-being.

Narcissa responds to threats

Speaking with Dexerto, Narcissa clarified that the threat was not legitimate and that she doesn’t even own weapons. “I know this is an edgy comment but I think if Twitch really cared about mental health they would have reached out and talked to me instead of suddenly deplatforming me,” she said. “I don’t own any weapons and the threat was non-credible. I did feel like self-harming though, and the tweet was my way of self-harming.”

Furthermore, she claimed that Twitch banned her for showing a disturbing photo by mistake and made the decision to indefinitely suspend her without any prior warning.

“Shortly after the gross image was shown, I was banned (permanently) — an indefinite suspension. It felt cruel — a cruel response to me being shown a gross image,” she explained.

Narcissa says she has yet to receive a response from Twitch regarding the ban.

like yeah, our disbelief is suspended, we got to this point by speedrunning three different sexual tension tropes in the span of one minute, but we're watching two people who are physically almost strangers trying to kiss and undress very fast at the same time and falling all over everywhere as a result, filmed with a very dry simplicity that seems almost tongue-in-cheek, and it's so realistically awkward and adorable ! ! !

i don't know that much about tropes and conventions and cinematography in bl, so i may not be doing a very good job of explaining what makes this stand out (to me at least) among other bl 'intimate scenes', but you seem to know a lot about these things. so i wanted to ask if you had any thoughts to share?

I love this so much. It's one of my favorite things about this series. Yeah. It's really good isn't it? That's Strongberry for you.

I love how earnest it is. Like that's what a first time when you really want someone is like. It's particularly funny knowing that they are both highly skilled fighters. But honestly the fight scenes are really well done too. They also feel very raw and earnest.

So I was torn between submitting this fic or the omegaverse mind break robot fucking fic, but this one had better paragraph spacing and I guess slightly more cursed content? Also surprisingly enough I did not find this in the dd:dne tag, although really, that would apply. Also it's a sonic fic, probably not super cursed and definitely not the WORST sonic fic out there but I don't have the patience to scour ffn for the really fucked up stuff, so this will have to do. (And yes, I did willingly look at the dd:dne sonic fics, no I'm not okay and yes I'm surprised too that there was nothing there I thought worth submitting).

Anyways. So this fic is about sonic getting captured by the black arms (some alien hivemind race for those who don't know) and being used as their breeding bitch. He wakes up captive in some room where Doom (the leader of the alien race) explains that he is only alive because Shadow (who has Doom's DNA and is therefore his son) wants him to "be part of creation" and since he's the prince and heir to the whole hivemind, Doom let's him keep sonic. He also explains that they cannot experience sexual pleasure like sonic and Shadow can, so they're gonna experience that through the two of them via hivemind shit, and in return for letting Doom experience an orgasm, sonic will get to bear and give birth to the next generation of black arms. Truly the deal of the century

So shadow gets real close and is practically on top of sonic, with Doom in the room and restraining sonic with tentacles. Naturally sonic is protesting the whole time, saying he'd rather die than be involved in this "deranged alien incest" and begging shadow to come to his senses and let sonic go and help him fight back. So, yeah. There's like two or three fics like this (sonic getting captured and bred by the black arms) but this was the first one I found and was the most memorable. Like I said, there's probably way worse sonic fics out there, so this isn't THAT cursed by comparison, but I'm too lazy to go look for them, cause god knows finding fucked up fics on ffn is only easy if you're NOT looking for them

Fallout: Equestria Review

STOP and read triggers before you continued: This fic has rape(not seen but it's talked about), sexual conduct(Not really but it's talk about) death, gore, body horror, slavery, and drug use.

So we all that weird that we saw of some forms at once and while. Hell Kingdom Hearts is weird fanfic crossover. But having Fallout with My  Little Pony is crazy but the author Kkat just went did that after seeing out all thing the artwork someone did online and seeing how to make a story out of it. Did she do a good job? Let's see for ourselves

Summary: Fallout.  With ponies! Set in an alternate future, one pony must learn to survive in a blasted,  poisoned land... and possibly, with the aid of friends made along the way, bring new light into the darkness of post-apocalyptic Equestria.

A little on the nose but the real story is that 200 years ago and ponies and zebras got into Cold War that turn to a hot one. And soon mega spell was launched. Which are nukes in this fic. Ending the war on both sides and turning the beautiful land of Equestria into the Wasteland. Stables(which are this version of the Vault) save some of the ponies. One Stables  2 where our story takes a plan. It follows Littlepip an apprentice PipBuck technician who one day was stopping by Velvet Remedy who ask her to remove her PipBuck( Which is like Pip-Boy in this fic) maintenance. Turns out this is a trick and Velvet escape the Stables. Littlepip feeling guilty went after her.

That beginning. But how's good is this fic? Well here are my notes.

Good: Kkat actually did do the research of both series and blend pretty well. She did some research about the Fallout series and thought about how to put them in an MLP one that makes sense during the setting. One that comes to mind is the megespells which are nukes. Kkat explain that this magespells foundation for larger spells than alone unicorn (or a single zebra alchemist/necromancer) could operate, allowing for multiple magic users to cooperate in its creation, and for far more energies to be stored inside, greatly augmenting the power of the said spell. Such frameworks are of physical nature, and they can be developed or improved with time to increase spell efficiency or complexity. As such some can use to heal or cause a great deal of damage. Even the damages can range from a bomb or something like Pink Cloud that is gas seeping into flesh and lungs, rotting it and melting it, and potentially liquefying bodies into heaps of organic matter.

The characters are some good too. Velvet Remedy has some really good character development as she starts out this shelter but is a good heart healer to wise one that knew that some choices are not easy to make. Calamity and SteelHooves are kinda these veterans of the Wastelands but even then they can make bad decisions and even be caught off guard by what they find in their adventures. Xenith gives a unique view of the world through a zebra's eyes. Littlepip the pov is only one of the main cast I have a problem with the main cast. At least at the beginning. But what I like about her is that everyone has a different option for her. Some think that she is a hero but others think she is a reckless idiot or a villain in some cases.  Which is actually pretty cool. Most MCs are well-loved or dislike for no reason in both fanfics and in media so seeing people have a mix of options is refreshing. Now to the bad stuff which is small but I should tell people.

Bad: Right off the bad let's talk about romance in this fic. Nothing really toxic but not enough chemistry between party members. Not spoiler or anything but one character spends probably two whole days talking to someone and deciding to date them. I'm all one for a bit of speedrun date in fics but this is too fast even for me.

Then there's Littlepip's beginning that kinda breezes through. Not so much in power but more of mortal standpoint but there are some things like that. Like she kills a bunch of ponies but didn't really think of it for too long before deciding they were bad and therefore deserve to die. Plus while I don't consider while I don't like to talk about the character's strength because that is not the point of the fic but I feel if you going for a more realistic standpoint Littlepip would have problems with some of the guns because she really didn't train well. There could chalk it up with the author not researching and she does later give Littlepip more challenges to overcome. So you have to go through the beginning to get to that part. This brings with to this pacing.

This fic is so long and cut some of this shit out. Plus beginning wasn't that good. Only after we deal with Topaz the fic pick up but then we kinda just waffle around until we get to the Steel Ranger and the whole Red Eye arc is where Littlepip shines as a character.

Spoilers(Read at your own risk!): The reason why the middle is really great is that it challenges Lilttlepip's morals and actions.  There are times when she mess up and people do call her out on it. Like lying to Spike about Twilight's death and getting Steelhooves to kill. It really did not only her development but also the themes of the fic. Which I thought it was cool. And while I like the worldbuilding in this fic and what they have done with another cast.

It really shows its age. Because Twilight at season 5+ would have pushed into friendship zebra regardless if the Littlehorn Massacre happen or not. I would fic around that thought but other final points once this spoiler chat is over. The last one I want to touch up is the ending.

People said it's a sad ending which could see. I don't because for the main characters it's the best one they can get in this depressing world. And the world did get better. Where all the answers to mysteries solved? No bit in option it's not that bad for the story is trying to tell. Let me explain: this story is about Littlepip, not the whole world, and the point of view character that set of goals she wants to do. So it makes sense we don't see the zebra's land because it's Littlepip's goal to go there. So I'm not too upset about it.

I wish Kkat write a sequel story but we never going to get it. I explain that in the final part. And themes of hope and friendship go well with her connection to the Single Pegasus Project and open the sky to Wastelands. Because while Littlepip and her friend take out a lot of them, there's still injustice in Wasteland, and not just one group of friends can save the world. It's just got the ball rolling, it's up to a lot of people going, "hey this is wrong. we should do something about it." Which in-universe they did and at the end they a form of government and civilization.

Final thoughts: Overall I did enjoy this fic but it's not perfect. It has some faults at the beginning, romance, and pacing. But I do think a good weigh the bad so if can held dark themes they go for it.

Now I want to talk about the impact this all has. Because this inspires others to make their own Fallout Equestria fics after Kkat gives the ok to do some. Now there are over 60 of these fics out there. But because of this Kkat feels like she can't make a sequel to her fic. Even if she has a couple of good ideas and her writing have gotten better. I think she can if she want to. Like there fics what if Littlepip dies on her adventure or other places with new characters. Plus I don't if fics are not 100% canon because we are not original authors and fanfic creative. We can make what we want telling they can't because not 100% canon feel wrong to me That's my option. Tell me what you guys think.
