DCXDP prompt
You guys know that scene in MIB2 when they open the locker at Grand Central and those little aliens start singing their natural anthem in K's honor.
Well imagine if you will that the Justice League/Batman is having a very big ghost problem. The Fenton’s being very well known in the supernatural/ghost hunting community(for all the wrong reasons) gets a visit so that they could ask for their help.
Only they aren't home, but their kids are! So they asked if they could maybe borrow some equipment. Danny and Jazz are okay with this but decided to loan them some of the more non-lethal of their parents weapons.
A Fenton Thurmus here, a Fenton Wheazle there but they can't find the Sector Deflectors. They search everywhere. The lad, the weapons vault, and the dungeon( Batman will be looking into that later), but they are nowhere to be found.
They need those Deflectors. Without them, they might have an overshadowed Superman on their hands and they most certainly didn’t want that. So as a last-ditched attempt to find them Danny walks over to their kitchen fridge.
The League/Batman doesn't understand why and then the next thing they know the teen opens the refrigerator door and a chorus of voices spring forth in a boisterous "All hail Jack! All hail Jack! All hail Jack can you see!-"
- I don't know why, but this just popped into my head recently and it made me laugh. So I thought I'd share it.

Dc x Dp Prompt #11: High Tech Chastity Belt
I can’t remember where I saw this, but it just popped into my head and I immediately had to get it out.
I remember reading something and I can’t remember if it was actually pitch pearl or just Danny pretending he was dating Phantom to avoid an identity reveal but Jack and Maddie slap the specter deflector on him to keep Phantom away.
Word gets out and a lot of people are not pleased that Jack and Maddie have essentially placed their son in what is functioning as a high tech chastity belt.
And it made me think: in a dp x dc cross over would the same concept work on Jason(or some other character), assuming we make him at least partly ghostly/liminal? How would this situation come about? Who put the belt on whom and why? (It’d be funny if it was Bruce through a misunderstanding ) How affective would it be? Is this better for angst or comedy? (I vote comedy)

DPXDC prompt: Identity Reveal or What makes a Fenton a Fenton?
Riddler catches 'birds and bats' and Phantom. Disarming them and putting Specter Deflector on Danny Nygma offers to pass his obstacle course if they want to live.
However, he does not take into account one fact - Danny not only Phantom but also Fenton. And his family is well known in Amity Park for their strong genes and attendant economic damage. So of course the boy does not follow his rules of the game but simply runs away:

Dp x Dc Bad parents with a twist.
The Fentons find out about Danny being Phantom. Either from Vlad or just randomly. They take it badly. They think Phantom is possessing him, but they think they can "save" him. Unfortunately, the GIW think otherwise and want to destroy their son. So what do they do? They erase all signs of their existence in Amity and wiping every article and study they ever had on ghost. Then they packed up and moved to Gotham in the middle of the night. Cutting Danny off from his friends and Jazz (due to her being at college and disagreeing with them). Vlad and the Fentons become business partners. Publicly, the three work together making and marketing inventions. while privately trying to 'fix' Danny on the side.
Danny has to wear an upgraded specter deflector, which is a thin metal bracelet.
Having half of himself offline for a long period of time has been causing his physical health to decline. That and the experiments his parents have been performing on him. No full-blown vivisection. He also gets anesthesia because they believe the Danny can still feel.
It wasn't long for the people of Gotham to start to talk about Vlad Co's new business partners and their sickly son. It wasn't long after for Bruce Wayne to gain some interest as well.
The first time Bruce met the Fentons was at a gala with Masters introducing them. Jack, Maddie, and Their son. He was also able to observe that he looked more sickly in person. With deep eye bags, pale skin, and how thin he was. It made Bruce's heart ache thinking what the boy about Tim's age had been having to endure.
The conversation contuied. Danny nervously fidgeting, only giving curt responses. Mr Fenton laughed, joking about how Danny didn't like fancy events. He excused Danny, telling him to grab something to eat. Danny nodded and rushed away, grabbing food and settling down in a nestled in a far back conner.
Bruce continued talking to the enthusiastic pair, talking glances at the boy occasionally. He felt some of his tension relax when spotting Tim taking a seat near Danny.
After the gala Tim and Bruce got together and compared notes. They both came to one conclusion.
They needed to find out more.

I thought Batman was “Always prepared”?!?!?!
Another DP x DC prompt for ya.
The bat clan is investigating a new lab connected with Lex corp. but they aren’t the first ones to arrive.
Danny’s been really annoyed with Vlad’s recent shenanigans. It’s almost like he WANTS the Justice league to investigate him. …yknow, on second thought, that’s probably exactly what he wants. Anyway, to avoid that, Danny’s had to go and destroy several of his labs across the country, quietly, so that he doesn’t add “literal superheroes” to the long list of people hunting him. Which has led him to fighting this hydra-chimera-hybrid thing that is being really loud and really annoying. Good thing there aren’t any people arou- wait, is that Batman? WITHOUT ANY ghost hunting equipment?!? Not even a specter deflector?!?!?
I thought Batman was “always prepared”!?!?!?!

Finally Getting Help (prt 8)
Masterpost
The next day was less chaotic but not by much. They had to go through everything they’d taken from the Fenton’s lab, and reluctantly accepted Danny and Jazz’s help with the task because they were familiar with the tech. That was surprisingly needed since all of their gadgets were extremely obtuse and looked like household appliances. It was honestly surprising how good Danny was with all of this stuff, he knew what everything was, how to take it apart and how to put it back together to show the heroes how it worked.
“They don’t all work for humans. Some have to be fueled with ectoplasm so they need to be constantly refueled. Dad used to wear a backpack full of the stuff ghost busters style but that’s really not practical so this one isn’t very useful to you. I can use it though,” Danny said as he screwed the last part back on the.. Whatever it was.
“Okay, but why does it look like a blender?” Tim asked, baffled and impressed.
“Oh that’s because that’s what it was built out of,” Danny said with a crooked smile. “We repurposed a lot of household items into tech. Give me a couple toasters and a microwave and I’ll have three specter deflectors ready for you before dinner time.” He said as he pressed his hand against one of the gins and it started glowing intently green.
“Here don’t drop it,” He said tossing it to Batman, who did manage to catch it. “I fueled it with three shots, just in case Vlad shows up or another ghosts threatens you. And actually even with your charms I would feel a lot better if you all had specter deflectors since you’re all involved with me now,” He sighed and rubbed his face.
“Well… we can get you toasters and a microwave but we can also get you more advanced parts if those will work better,” Bruce told Danny, gingerly holding the odd gun away from himself. It wasn’t a traditional gun so it wasn’t upsetting but he still didn’t like it.
Danny looked very tempted but he shook his head. “No I’d better do it with what I know, I can get it done faster that way and they work. I’d love to play with some of those more advanced parts though. I’m sure I can come with some fun stuff.”
Uh oh, Bruce didn’t like that look on Tim’s face, the last thing he needed was more encouragement! But Danny was the child of mad scientists, he would get along perfectly with Tim, Bruce was going to have to keep a close eye on them to make sure they didn’t accidentally make a death ray.
“You can join me in my lab later,” Tim offered hopefully and Danny glanced up at him with a borderline feral grin.
“That sounds great, I’m sure you have much better lab safety than my parents. Love engineering, would hate to die a second time.” He said it like a joke, just the way Jason tended to. Jazz laughed, but only to encourage her brother’s coping method, no one else did.
“Alright, we’ll go to the nearest home appliance store and get you some toasters and microwaves,” Bruce said.
“Hell ya, I should have been adopted by a rich family years ago,” Danny cackled. Oh dear, he’d been so traumatized yesterday Bruce hadn’t realized he was Feral. Why did this keep happening.
He informed Alfred of Danny’s request and by the time they finished going over the more confusing inventions and left for lunch the appliances were waiting for Danny in the lab that he and Tim would apparently now be sharing. Danny immediately dove on the machinery starting to take them apart with practiced hands. He seemed calm and in his element but Tim stayed to supervise, both just in case something went wrong, and because it was His lab and they hadn’t talked about rules of cohabitation yet.
Bruce left them to it. Alfred had informed him that Jason had arrived and headed straight to the kitchen without saying hello to anyone else. It wasn’t a surprise, he was closest to Alfred, he’s want to help with making dinner, and get the basic scoop from his most trusted family member before having to face anyone else. Bruce knew better than to intrude on that, but God did he want to.
Regardless of what his children thought Bruce cared deeply for all of them, and he hated that sometimes they doubted it. He wished he was better at telling and showing them, but he’d managed to convince himself it was too late for him to change so he didn’t have to face the years of mistakes and trauma he had endured and inflicted. No matter what what image he tried to project, he was still only human.
He went to his office, but he couldn’t settle to anything, he did a little bit of this, and little bit of that, and just ended up pacing the carpeted floor. He left them alone as long as he could before he gave in and went down to the kitchen.
“Sorry to interrupt, I just needed a cup of coffee,” He said as casually as he could. The looks Alfred and Jason gave him said neither of them actually believed his excuse, which was fair. “It’s good to see you Jaylad, thanks for coming.”
“Well I’m not going to miss out on a new brother am I? You gonna have this one running around in spandex too B?” He asked, raising an eyebrow, it made Bruce wince but it Was progress because he was acknowledging their familial ties.
“I’m almost two years too late to stop him,” Bruce said regretfully. “It’s been… a lot has happened. I’m sure Alfred caught you up on most of it, but I’d like to talk to you before you meet either of the siblings.”
“Trying to make sure I won’t be a bad influence?” Jason asked and Bruce couldn’t tell if he was joking or accusing.
“No, nothing like that,” Bruce said, holding up his hands. “I just want to talk.”
Jason hummed skeptically, scrutinizing Bruce before turning back towards Alfred. “What do you think Alfie, can you spare me?”
“I always appreciate your help master Jason, but I can manage on my own,” Alfred assured, sounding amused.
“Alright, to your office then?” Jason asked, turning back towards Bruce.
“Or the sitting room, whichever would be more comfortable.”
“Office,” Jason said firmly, this was the distance that he was keeping between them. They worked together now, and Jason cared for his siblings, but he kept them all at arms length. For everyone’s safety really, if they set him off he didn’t want to hurt them, and he didn’t want to be set off either. It always felt like shit. Jason followed Bruce to the office and sprawled in the soft chair across the desk from Bruce’s. He remembered being a kid, sitting properly and nervously in this chair across from Bruce hoping desperately for his approval. How times change.
“I just wanted to talk to you about the new kids” Bruce started and Jason waved him away.
“I’m really not going to corrupt them or anything, I Probably won’t be around enough to make a difference anyway.” Jason said dismissively.
Bruce took a deep breath, controlling his expression and folding his hands on the table. “That’s not it Jaylad, Alfred must have told you that the boy died and came back?”
Jason tensed and green swirled in his vision, it was the same thing that Bruce had seen in Danny when Zatana asked about Phantom. “Ya he did.” Defensive and insecure.
“It seems like he, and his sister who was sort of a caretaker to him, know a lot more than we do about the effect that that has on a person. To help us take care of Danny she gave us a presentation about it, it… makes a lot of sense. You should probably talk to her and Danny about it really but I just wanted to apologize.
“I’ve been trying to fix this, fix… you for a long time and I know I’ve been going about it wrong and I’ve been hurting you.”
“You got a new treatment plan in mind, old man?” Jason asked, his arms crossed and Bruce wished that mistrust wasn’t earned.
“No,” Bruce sighed looking down. “Really Jason I don’t, I know I was wrong. This is something I just didn’t know I didn’t know about,” He hated his own ignorance, he hated to admit it! He was Batman! The way he kept up with other superheroes was always being prepared for everything and knowing more than everyone around him, but he hadn’t even known there was something there to know!
“This isn’t about that, and it’s not about you staying away from the new kids. Exactly the opposite actually, since they know more about this, and Danny might be one of the few people who really understands what it’s like to die and come back like that, I was hoping you’d spend more time here, around them. I think it might help you both.”
“Huh,” Jason sounded, blinking rapidly because that was the most sincere apology he’d gotten from Bruce and he didn’t quite know how to react to it. “Maybe… maybe.” He hadn’t met the new siblings yet after all, maybe they’d hate each other.
“Can I meet them now?” He asked looking back up at Bruce curiously.
“Of course, the girl's name is Jasmine Fenton, called Jazz, the boy goes by Danny. Jazz is turning 18 soon, Danny is 16.”
Right Tim had mentioned that, so Danny was about 3 years younger than him then. That shouldn’t matter too much, and maybe Tim will be right about the sister and can tease Jason about it. He’d been single for a while and wouldn’t mind changing that.
“Of course, I think you should meet Jazz first, she’s protective of Danny and she hasn’t been very involved in all of this. I think she’d feel better being allowed to… vet you first for lack of a better word. Are you okay with that?” Bruce asked Jason politely.
“Sure, I don’t really care what order I meet them in and… Look Bruce I know I’m mad at you, and I was really hard on Timmy when everything was still raw. But I’m never going to knowingly hurt a kid, or make life harder for them. If I can help them I will,” Jason said sincerely.
“Jason, the girl is less than a year younger than you. You’re a kid too,” Bruce said sadly. Jason froze for a moment, Yes he was 19, his mind wasn’t fully developed yet or whatever the hell, but he hadn’t felt like a kid since his death. Even before that, the responsibility for his mother, and then the work as a hero. Bruce wanted soldiers, Jason had never gotten a chance to be a kid really.
“Whatever,” Jason scoffed, shoving his hands into his pockets and standing up, closing himself off from that sincerity. “Do you know where she is?”
“She’s in the library,” Bruce said, his lips twitching up in a smile. “She loves books almost as much as you did, though she seems to be more drawn to non-fiction.”
Jason hummed and nodded, heading towards the door since he knew his own damn way to the library, Bruce didn’t have to lead! He did follow through, he was clearly protective of these kids so of course he would want to be there when Jason met them.
When he entered the library he saw a young woman sitting at one of the tables with some sort of text book. Her back was straight and her legs tucked under the chair with her ankles crossed. It looked like she was self consciously trying to look put together. She looked up at them, blue green eyes looking him over critically, he could practically see her picking him apart in her mind and he tried not to fidget.
“Hey, it’s nice to meet you, I’m Jason Todd,” He said, walking over and offering her his hand to shake. She was very pretty, but he was surprised by his own complete lack of attraction, she just didn’t register that way, she seemed more… maternal almost.
“Ah, the dead son,” She chuckled, getting up from the table and reaching out to shake his hand, her grip was strong and her hands were soft and cool. “It’s nice to meet you, they mentioned you. Nothing bad,” She added when she saw her face. “And I don’t mean to be rude, I know some people are sensitive about their deaths being mentioned. Danny jokes about it all the time so… I just wanted to let you know that I know, and I accept you.” Jazz said with a warm smile.
Her easy acceptance caught him off guard and before he could help it he was baring his teeth at her in a snarl, defensive and probing, did she mean it? She grinned sharper bearing sharp fangs at him in a matching sign of… friendly aggression, something inside him settled. He chuckled and took a step back. “Well thanks, nice to meet someone who doesn’t look like they bit a lemon every time I make a death joke.”
“It’s your death, as long as it’s healthy you can own that however comes naturally to you,” Jazz promised, sitting back down at the desk. “I’d love to talk more and get to know you, but we can do that later. You really should meet Danny.”
“You don’t want to come with us,” Bruce broke in, sounding worried. Jason had almost forgotten he was there, he hadn’t realized how… all encompassing the short interaction had been.
“I’ll probably follow,” Jazz said with a shrug, her gaze turning stern as she looked at Bruce. “Remember what I said about never breaking up a fight,” She told him firmly.
Well if that didn’t make Jason nervous he didn’t know what did. Why would he fight with Danny? Would Danny fight with him? Why? “You really think it’s a good idea for us to meet? Why would we fight?” Jason asked her sharply.
“Of course,” she agreed, her eyes softening as she looked back at him, though her expression remained a little mischievous. “It’ll be good for both of you.”

One weird thing i have seen in Danny Phantom fics is that there is this idea that Vlad randomly goes to start fights with Danny weekly for no reason other than being asshole
While i'm totally okay with headcanons and such... this isn't the case in the show?
In the series Vlad usually avoids fighting Danny personally (as him transforming into Plasmius) and he does it when it is kinda his last resort. In Bitter Reunions he beats the crap out of Danny first, leaving him unconscious on the floor. That's because he thought Phantom was a normal ghost, he didn't know he was Danny.
After he learns that Danny is Phantom he actually asks Danny to stop fighting him and suggests him to join him.
Tumblr media
In later episodes he sends his underlings to distract Danny but that is always part of his plans. In ¨The Million Dollar Ghost¨ he sends a group of ghost hunters to catch Phantom while he spends time in the Fentons Lab trying to steal the ghost portal since he lost his own one. In "Maternal Instincts" I'm not sure how serious he was about the ghost animals ¨getting rid¨ of Danny. I believe he was trying to force Maddie and Danny to come back to his chalet and stay there. After Danny tricks him and puts the specter deflector on him, that's when Vlad transforms into Plasmius and starts throwing hands with Danny.
In "Reign Storm" Danny tries attacking Vlad at one point of the episode and Vlad tells Danny to ¨calm down¨ since he has other more important things to worry about. He was trying to escape from the Ghost King army in that moment.
Same with "Secret Weapons" and "Kindred Spirits", he fights Danny as last resort (Secret Weapons) or because he needs Danny for something (Kindred Spirits).
This could be applied to episodes from Season 3 as well. Even in ¨Eye for an Eye¨ it came as a response of Danny sending the GIW to destroy his mansion. Which makes sense since he is more of the person who can't let go of a grudge not matter what.
Let's go back to an earlier episode from Season 1 ¨The Million Dollar Ghost¨ to explain this point further. Remember how easily Vlad was able to fight against Behemoth?
Tumblr media Tumblr media
And he was barely trying for what it is implied in the episode.
Meaning that Vlad could have easily destroyed Danny any time he wanted to and he was probably holding back to some extent every time he fought Danny. Hell, remember in ¨Kindred Spirits¨ how it took him around a minute to recover and transform again after getting a ghost wail from Danny? Let me repeat, a ghost wail.
In short, in the series Vlad rarely fights Danny for the sake of picking up a fight with him, he usually has a reason behind doing so, either because he is trying to distract Danny or he needs him as part of his plan. Often he take matters into his own hands as last resort when his plans are failing him. And if he wanted to get rid of Danny he could have easily done so a long time ago considering how powerful he is but he doesn't because part of him wants Danny to see him as a mentor/father figure.

"Dad" Dan au
(Pov I haven't read Agit yet) ( I don't mind spoilers though)
I don't think we in the dpxdc fandom play with the canon information that Dark Danny is a product of Danny's ghost half fusing with with Plasmius.
Yeah, he's completely down with mass murder and is really sadistic in the episode but that's not as fun to play with in this context.
He's still merged with Vlad and I'd like to have that bleed into him a bit more than the "oh he's so evil," but him being obsessed with his own Mom like Vlad is a level of weird I'm not willing to touch with a fifty foot pole.
I say, let him have Vlad's obsession with making Danny his son. It's hilarious! Imagine being obsessed with making your past self your son! Dan had no qualms with directly trying to murder the past version of his family. But I love the idea of him first seeing his past self in all his awkward half-ghost glory an obsession kicks into gear with a fury!
Dan hating his own parents with a passion because they're uh, well... His parents. And that stops him from being his own parent! It's so stupid. Dan judging every single one their parenting decisions. All while he himself is still morally detestable.
It's great! Still can't decide if he's just stalking the family like a creep. Or he pretended to be redeemed and Danny with Jazz gaslit their parents into believing they have an older sibling ghosts his from them.
Onto the dpxdc part of this!
Now Dan is just looking for the opportunity to whisk Danny away. Jack and Maddie are interfering with his obsession without even trying to! He'll be trying to feed the kid something edible and they'll be ectoplasm samples in the fridge! Ghost hunting equipment in the open when they know it has a tendency to misfire around their son! Dan doesn't care if they really love Danny. There are harpoons pointed at his kid! Those idiots were one misstep away from accidentally killing their child a second time and Dan isn't having it!
Dan yoinks Danny and fucking books it into the ghost zone. Danny clearly wouldn't be happy with this development (betrayal or surprise you choose!) And Dan is trying his best to get Danny to co-operate. Either with specter deflectors or a deal with Desiree. But Danny's stuck with the guy.
I'm taking advantage of the fact that the Dc universe has absolutely obliterated it's multiverse making pretty much impossible for normal ghosts and humans to navigate. Dan flees with Danny to an iteration of the Dc universe and pokes around for a place to settle.
Metropolis's hero was an annoying goodie two shoes and he'd kill this "lex Luthor" the moment he heard the fucker speak. Plus, both rogues and hero's threw cars like baseballs.
Gotham was flooded with crime but their rouges were just people. Their heroes were just people. Crazy people sure, but Dan could kill them if they stepped out of line.
If only the self proclaimed hero's would stop trying to make grabs at his kid.

DPXDC Prompt#128 part 2
Jason had finally made it too a safe house, his eyes blurred everything together and he was having a hard time breathing. His soulmate seemed close to death when they switched and Jason began to worry about making it a little. Thankfully the safe house was close to where his soulmate had been wandering. He was getting a scolding when Jason was finally in his own body he decided. He thankfully remembered the combination for the lock and sat down on the couch after locking the doors behind him.
His head was pounding and he wanted to do nothing more than lay here on the couch but the sooner he got in contact with Bruce and the rest of them the sooner he could find himself in his own body again. He took closer attention to the one he was inhabiting at the moment and noticed a few things about it. For one he was wearing a shiny silver belt that had some bright green, the kind that seemed a little too close to the green of the pit or his eyes when he got angry. He moved to touch it but when his skin made contact he violently got shocked. Now Jason had gotten electrocuted before, but this was on a whole new level.
This utterly confused him, why was his soulmate wearing something that would cause him this level of pain? He couldn’t have been wearing it on purpose, maybe he was forced to wear it? The more he thought about it the more pissed off he got. If someone was forcing his soulmate to wear something that caused this level of pain to torture him made Jason nauseous. He took a few breaths to calm himself before he thought about what his next steps should be.
First he was going to check and see what supplies this safe house had, it was one of Bats so there was probably a spare communicator somewhere he could use. He carefully got back up from the couch afraid to touch the damn belt again and began looking. He found some first aid and a communicator right where he thought it’d be and he put it in his ear and spoke,
“Hey, Jason here, finally got to a safe house, buddy when you get here you’ve got some explaining to do”
—————
Danny could feel how tense the car was as Batman drove. He’d  be totally excited to be riding in the Batmobile but dreaded the conversations he was about to have with everyone here, everyone being Batman, his soulmate, and all of the people that could apparently hear everything through the helmet he was wearing. Danny was afraid to take it off at this point seeing as Batman had been almost silent the whole way.
Danny had a few moments to actually think about things. The most pressing being his soulmate was in his half almost fully dead body. He knew he was wearing ratty clothes and a specter deflector last. They made him wear it at the facility and he really hoped his soulmate hadn’t tried to touch it.
Another thing that had bothered him is the body he was currently in. It felt off, not half dead like his own but something similar. He could feel the ectoplasm flowing through his veins but it was much less than what he had. Jason was more alive than Danny was especially at the moment.
He’d panic a bit more about not knowing the state his soulmate and body were except his helmet crackled back to life,
“Hey, Jason here, finally got to a safe house, buddy when you get here you’ve got some explaining to do”
It felt weird hearing his own voice in the tone of a stranger and he felt it was probably the same for him.
“Jason I’m in the car with your soulmate, let me know your position,” Batman said his voice crackled in his ears. Danny wasn’t sure what to say, he was worried about his soulmate but he sounded really pissed. Probably because Danny took his chance to kill the Joker, he assumed his soulmate intended to kill him anyways since the safety was off.
Danny kept silent throughout the rest of the trip after Jason told them his location. He was honestly a little terrified, he wouldn’t doubt that his soulmate knew Batman with the way they were talking to each other so he went through what he knew about the bats. He went through all of the bats he knew and came to the conclusion that his soulmate must have been Red Hood which meant he was in Red Hoods body at the moment and that thought didn’t help comfort him at all.
That also meant that Red Hood was his soulmate and that terrified him even more. He’d heard stories, mostly from Sam who kept an eye on everything Gotham related seeing as it was her favorite city. Danny missed his friends, they had seen him get kidnapped by the GIW and tried their best to free him but it wasn’t any use.
Danny spent months in the facility and if it wasn’t for the GIWs own incompetence he’d still be there. They had done some terrible things to him during his captivity. They were in the middle of moving him back to his cell when the lights went out. They hadn’t thought to install a back up generator so the ghost shield had temporarily gone down. He was able to fight them back and escape somehow but the belt he was forced to wear made it impossible for him to use his powers.
He had been on the run for about a week when the switch happened.
He tensed a little as Batman parked the car.

DPxDC Family Week June 18 (Day 1)
Prompt: Parents | Discovery
A/N: I hope i did not miss the prompts but here is my Day 1 contribution! Enjoy!
AO3 Link: DPxDC Family Week Contributions
Danny sighed as he watched his parents lay out the display for their research as well as set up a showcasing of all their weapons. Why couldn't he skip this business thing like Jazz had. Oh right, Jazz was going to college next year and skipt out of this with the excuse of taking a college tour for Gotham Acadamy and their student programs. While he had missed his chance and was now stuck accompanying his parents to their meeting with a new potential business partner. In other words he was on parents babysitting duty.
Apparently Wayne Enterprise had shown some interest in regards to their research as well as ecto-powered utensils and weaponry. Danny was pretty sure that they only showed an interest because he had an accidentally meeting as ghost king with that Constantine guy who's soul became a trading game in the ghost zone. Apparently there was a Justice League Dark which needed some help with a couple rebellious ghosts. Instead of a Demon they had accidentally summoned Danny in his Ghost King form and Danny had used that chance to ramble on about the GIW and how half his council was close to demanding a war with the humans. They were pretty quickly interested in avoiding an interdimensional war, even promising to get the Justice League involved too and not only the Dark variant.
The moment Sam and Tucker heard about Wayne Enterprises being interested in a deal, they once again started up their discussion about whether or not Bruce Wayne was Batman's sugar daddy. Since the bat was a member of the Justice League. In a way he probably should be happy that his parents forced him to come with them, it gave him an out from his friends bickering. Don't get him wrong, he loves his friends, but if he has to listen to them argue one more time where or not Batman fucks a rich billionaire, Superman or Wonder Woman, he would be throwing them into the portal for an hour or have them deal with Technus alone.
Either way he was now helping his parents while they were discussing if they should or should not demonstrate the Fanton-Bazooka. His mom had already the Wraith Wrangler tested earlier while his dad had untangled the Fenton Ghost Fisher. The Fenton Finder was already on the table deactivated for now. Ancients, he was not looking forward to being its target, again. His parents were also already wearing the Fenton Specter Deflector which meant Danny was especially careful not to get to close to them since that thing still sapped him and the only one he had had the time to adjust and make his own ecto signature a exception in, was at home because he just forget taking it with him when his parents dragged him into the GAV.
Aside from the weaponry his parents had also brought out a bunch of their modified home appliances, like the Fenton toaster. Hopefully they wouldn't end up bringing the bread back to life during the presentation. Danny didn't think Wayne enterprise would be too thrilled about that. And the Ancients, did he hope that Bruce Wayne was not a fruitloop like Vlad.
---------
Tim sighed as he readjusted the necktie. What was Bruce thinking? Just because Constantine had contacted the Justice League about some negotiations that were going to happen with someone from another dimension known as the Ghost King, he was now stuck with trying to strike a deal with one of the only inventors that was actively publishing as well as selling research and weaponry that would work against ghosts.
Seriously that man and his contingency plans.
Just because he liked to have safety measures should negotiation with the Ghost King, who apparently can destroy entire dimensions, go wrong, didn't mean that the man could skip out on that meeting with the scientist couple and put that all instead on him. Really Tim had better things to do, like plotting a revenge plan on Jason for ratting out his coffee hiding space to Alfred. So what if he only slept like six hours in four days? He was still functioning very well.
He watched through the cams how the Fantons set up their display in the room WE had provided them. They were going to show off to a selected board and him. He eyed some of their weaponry as well as home appliances, they all had a pretty in theme green and silver design. Though he took special notice of the green glow or liquid some of them visibly contained that suspiciously looked very much like Lazarus Water. He would need to make sure to collect some samples if they didn't leave some willingly behind.
He also wondered how their son, who looked very much like an unwilling assistance, kept a certain distance from his parents after they put on some clunky looking belts. He got his answer as to why when he watched them longer. The poor kid got zapped apparently every time he got too close. Worse was that his parents apparently didn't notice or entirely dismissed it a second later if they noticed it.
The co-ceo of Wayne Enterprise narrowed his eyes at that, the detective in him screaming that something was amiss here. Sometimes the parents even carelessly reached out to touch their son, in what was probably supposed to be an affectionate gesture. The boy would flinch back slightly but they would still keep going only drawing back when the kid ended up flinching in actual pain and letting that show on his face. His parents then seemed instantly apologetic but only minutes later ended up repeating the same mistake distracted apparently by something else.
Tim took notes of this and decided that he would either look into their home life himself or ask Barbara to do it. He had a gut feeling that the kid needed some help and even if it were just a false alarm and these were actually good parents, it would be better safe than sorry. Taking a sip from his death wish coffee he readjusted the tie once more before closing his laptop.
It was time for the business meeting and he would make sure to watch their interaction and treatment of their child closely.
----------
Tim swore he was paying attention. The suspicious looks his board as well as the Fantons son were giving him just because he was typing away on his laptop while parallel listening to them as well as taking regular sips from his coffee was not him being distracted. Didn't these people ever hear about multitasking? Just because he sat in the back so no one could look into his laptop didn't mean he wasn't paying attention. For all they knew he was actively taking notes.
At these the Drs. Fenton didn't seem to mind it, they were easily distracted with just one well placed question from him. They would then go on and on about Ecto-Energy and all its uses and potential. By now the young CEO was pretty sure that this Ectoplasm had something to do with Lazarus water. Which only validated the research he was doing on the side even more.
It wasn't like he was hacking into Amity Park's network system, okay he was but it was surprisingly hard for such an in-the-middle-of-nowhere place. He only found an in into their network when he found a rather passionate online post about their local Vigilante being the Fantons son but got countered by several other users stating that they had seen the two of them at the same time several times.
That users net security wasn't the best so it was easy for Tim to find an in that way. He sent it to Barbara too, just in case she also had troubles. Really that town had an interesting firewall system that appeared to make no sense. It was also strange to see how little information was known about this place if you weren't tuned into their networks.
Like was that place a literal Bermuda triangle when it came to Information?
He looked up from his laptop just in time to see the Fantons go on about the uses of Ecto-Energy and how it can replace electricity if used correctly. Apparently their entire home didn't have to pay electricity bills in years now since they became self sufficient. They then went on showing off how to find the source of Ecto-Energy holding up something they named the Fenton-Finder. That thing beeped and then proceeded to insult them and point in the direction of their son.
Flustered they explained how because of an accident their son had their inventions tend to malfunction when he was close by. Their son very clearly grimaced when his parents shared that piece of information and Tim made sure to note that down too another point on the possible bad parenting list for the Fentons.
His attention turned back to his information gathering. That town's news looked like they got run over by 'ghosts' every two days. Additionally the entire town was not the least bit thankful to their vigilante Phantom, considering he found the same amount off news praising as well as bad mouthing their local hero.
So what if there was some property damage? At least they were somewhat saved form whatever these 'ghosts' were doing. He saved all the news clips he found regarding all the attacks this town appeared to have suffered into a separated folder. There had to be a reason why the Justice League hadn't taken any form of action yet. It couldn't be that one summoning going wrong in the JL Dark and making contact with a Ghost King was what it needed for them to step in, let alone notice the shit that went on in Amity.
Hell if nothing changed he would attempt to get Phantom to join Young Justice or his group specifically. The vigilante looked like a kid maybe a little younger than him, wait hold on. Tim pulled up the least blurry picture of the vigilante he could find and looked up from his screen just in time to see the Fanton's son back away from his mom hiding his arm behind him.
Did he get zapped again? Dear God, aren't his parents paying attention to the kid at all? He added another point to the bad parents tally.
Okay wait, save that for later, focus on the task at hand, Tim scowled himself mentally. Taking a good look at the teenager before looking back at his laptop screen, the young Co-CEO nodded to himself. Yup, maybe that post that got him into their towns network wasn't that far off. If you change the colors then the Fanton kid looked very much like Phantom minus the pointy ears and sharp teeth. Additionally now that he put them next to each other in his mind. The name Phantom sounded awfully a lot like Fanton.
What did the Fantons say their son's name was? D- d- Danny, Daniel? Good the kid needed a teaching in how to better hide secret identity connections. Wearing a pretty but telling logo on your outfit was a dead giveaway. The kid was probably some sort of Meta and if he had to guess he was the accident that his parents had offhandedly mentioned. Even more reason to have Barbara look into them more.
For now he was somewhat satisfied with his findings as he closed his laptop and gave the Fentons his full attention. He did not miss Danny (was it?) looking down at his phone for a second and then narrowing his eyes at him. He did his best to suppress the forming grin. Really the kid was very intriguing, if his suspicions were right, they rarely weren't unless Barbara had found something else, and the kid was somewhat impulsive then he would probably get a little visit from Phantom later. After all he had made sure to leave some traces behind to arrange this.
------------
When Tucker contacted him that there were two people outside of Amity looking into Phantom, he was not amused especially when Tucker also stated that only one of them could be traced back to Wayne Enterprise.
Really what he was doing was probably dumb and he could hear his sisters scowling in his head. But when they were back at the hotel and he excused himself for the night and asking Jazz to cover for him should anything go wrong he changed forms and flew invisible all the way back to the Wayne tower.
It took some searching but soon enough he found the room of the young Co-CEO that had to be the one that looked into Amity and his family. Finding the office empty, Danny frowned before looking around. He couldn't find anything suspicious, it was just a normal office. Crossing his arms while floating to the middle of the room Danny tried to think about it more.
"Not finding what you are looking for Phantom?"
His head snapped to the side as he turned around ready for a fight. Instead Danny came face to face with Red Robin. Great he definitely did not want the attention of their local Bat-Clan. Wasn't it enough that his home town couldn't decide if he was a menace or not? He didn't need Gotham trying to decide too. Considering how Batman apparently disliking Metas it already wasn't looking good for him. It was already bad enough that the Justice League had finally gotten wind of Amity.
"Look I am not here to cause trouble, I just…"
"You're just looking into why someone in Wayne Enterprises would look into you or your identity and you suspected the young CEO Tim Drake-Wayne because he spent the majority of the business meeting with your parents on his laptop?"
"How do you…?"
"I have my sources."
Danny eyed the vigilante; this was not what he expected. Wait, did he say his parents? His eyes widened and he heard the other chuckle. "Yea you make it pretty easy on how to discover your identity, kid. Might wanna take that post down discussing your identity. That's dangerous even if seemingly no one believes it. If people pay close attention it's easy to figure out."
Danny narrowed his eyes. Okay fuck, so some outsider had figured out his identity and that one happened to be connected to Batman who hated Metas… Dear Acients he was fucked.
"If you are planning to arrest me and give me over to the GIW, I will not hesitate…"
"Arresting you? No, why would I do that? This is more interesting. Though I admit the Fentons research is pretty biased, you're a good guy no matter how torn your hometown is on that matter. Besides, the JL is already looking into these 'Guys in White' the Ghost King has informed us about." Red Robin shrugged but Danny did not let his guard down. "I was honestly thinking about black mailing you to join the Young Justice League and then work with you together or train you to find out more about this Ectoplasm. I have my suspicions that it has something to do with Lazarus Water and who better to get to help than the kid that lived with scientists researching and had a lap accident that gave him powers that he is also actively hiding from his parents. I saw the video footage of you getting zapped by their inventions."
Danny flinched at the last part, phantom pains running through his arm that had touched the button but he forced himself to stay calm. "You are blackmailing me?"
"I would call it forceful recruitment for help with a case." The vigilante shrugged. "But essentially yes."
"What if I refuse?"
"I will relate the information to batman including your home situation and depending on what we find I will have a new brother in about one to two."
"Months?"
"Weeks. It all depends on your parents though. Are you even safe with them? I heard them talking about tearing you apart molecule by molecule."
"I am fine! They are good parents, really!"
Acients his panic was slowly setting in. What was happening? First Red Robin revealed that he had discovered his identity, then he was getting blackmailed, then told to help in a case about something called Lazarus Water and now his parents are under suspicion, of what?
Red Robin only hummed. "Hey Oracle, you heard the kid right? Only Static? No matter, please look into Daniel Fentons home life and potential therapy. Yeah I will be mailing B the rest of the entire report."
"Wait, what are you doing?"
"Getting a new brother." After a short moment of Danny staring at the other vigilante they added "...and sister."
What in the name of Ancients was happening?!

dpxdc drossover not phantom planet complient, Jason attacks titans tower AU , good fenton parents - link to AO3 if you'ld rather read there https://archiveofourown.org/works/53359585
------------------------------------------------------------------
Danny was flying over the bay in Jump city. The Fentons were on a road trip - Jazz was in the process of picking what college she wanted to attend, and since Phantom was no longer a secret from his parents, and he had passed his portal making test from Wulf, rather than have to fly, or drive around the country, he was making portals and visiting each college.
The downside of this was that the portals were a little wibbly wobbly with time. Hey - he only just passed the test - So sometimes the portals would drop them off in a location a few days before the open day (Fortunately for Jazz’s remaining sanity, he hadn’t yet arrived too late for an open day, but with four left to go there was still a chance).
Since mom and dad now knew about Phantom, They were taking the opportunity to drag the whole family around the country, to every college Jazz was looking at (and with neither time or travel being a concern, she was looking at A LOT), and having a few days around the town afterwards, seeing the local sights as well. So they were in Jump City for a few days before Jazz went to see UC Berkeley: and Danny couldn’t sleep.
Or at least that's what he told mum after persuading her he would be fine to go for a quick invisible flight before bed.
Invisible of course, because Jump city was home to the teen titans - a local group of teenage superheroes - and the last thing he needed was to be noticed by them. Not that he had anything against superheroes - technically he was one - but Amity had been under media blackout since before the titans were formed. It was only after Tucker had managed to crack the media blackout - and get a quick message out to the justice league helpline about the GIW and the Anti-Ecto- Acts, that Danny had even realised there were other teen heroes.
That had been a very hectic few weeks. The GIW were quickly disbanded, and it turned out the AEA which Danny had been so afraid of, were a load of bull! They never existed! As the Justice League explained, with the Meta Protection Acts so much in the public view, there was no way any Acts that labelled those with unusual powers as not sentient - was ever going to pass. It was just a lie the GIW put about to prevent Amity Parkers from asking for help.
The Justice League had also told mom and dad they had to permanently close the portal, or at least have much, much more security to prevent ghosts coming and going as much. They eventually agreed to this, with a lot of grumbling, and it was one of the reasons that Danny needed to learn to make portals so quickly. Mom and dad told the justice league that, as Amity Park had so many natural portals anyway - that opened up from time to time - they would need to open it occasionally to send the ‘visitors’ who came through the portal back home. But the justice league argued that should be the only reason to open the portal.
Dad kept arguing that how were they supposed to research ghosts (no longer for ripping them apart molecule by molecule - as learning about their son being Phantom had changed their ideas massively) - and how they interact with each other and the world - with the portal only open for emergencies. Until Mom sidled up beside him and whispered that “Danny can still open portals if needed dear” which shut dad up so quickly that the justice league member - John somebody - looked at him suspiciously - and then went outside for another smoke. Eventually it was settled, with mom volunteering to supply the justice league with some anti-ecto technology - particularly specter deflectors, because no-one wants an overshadowed superman.
Anyway, after all the portals and GIW were sorted, the Justice league made some noise about this Phantom ghost - and they needed to meet him and assess what to do. The public of Amity Park were (as always) mixed in reviews, but Valarie, who had already met up with the League when they arrived, as Red Huntress, said very publicly that “As the local hero of Amity, I will make sure he doesn’t bother the public”. Then, more quietly, to the league “... besides Phantom really only stops the other ghosts from causing trouble, and with the portal shut there should be less of that.” And finally, lying through her teeth, “If there’s any trouble, I'll call you guys in”.
The Constantine guy hung around for a few more days, but since there was no sign of Phantom, and the only ghost that came through a natural portal, was an animal ghost, that was easily souped by Red Huntress. Constantine watched as it was yeeted back into the Ghost Zone - and eventually left with only mild complaining.
Now Danny, why did Phantom not appear? Well, since the beginning  of Phantom appearing, he really was only a hero to stop people getting hurt. He didn't want to be a hero. He just wanted to stop the ghosts coming through the portal. Since Val was there to deal with the Justice league, and they were now getting on fairly well because of Dani, she could be the ‘Hero of Amity Park’ and she had his number to give him a shout if needed. That way he could actually get his grade up high enough to have a chance of attending a decent college to be an astronaut.
So with that all sorted, and ghosts now more of an occasional thing than a day to day problem, he was able to leave Amity Park and actually go on holiday! Besides, if he got bored and wanted a fight, he could now portal to the GZ, grab a frenemy- and duke it out without any collateral damage. Frostbite and Clockwork had both said, one much more plainly than the other, that ghosts - particularly young ghosts like Danny, Dani, and even Vlad - who was young by ghost standards, would start to go a bit mad without regular enrichment. Apparently enrichment for ghosts was beating the stuffing out of each other.
This did explain why Vlad was so much of a fruitloop - being confined to a bed for many years, and then not having anyone he could brawl with - left him badly lopsided. It turned out that regularly punching him in the face was good for the both of them. Left him less mad, and was very, very cathartic for Danny. Vlad these days was still a fruitloop, but tended to leave humans out of it, and just kidnap Danny for various jigsaw-ish traps - with given that Danny could use his powers, was more like a fun escape room than anything more dangerous.
So, back to the evening flight in Jump City. Danny had carefully talked around Titans tower. He said he would make sure that the heroes wouldn’t see him - well he was invisible, so they wouldn’t. But he did want to see how the other side live, as it were. He wanted to see what these teen heroes were doing. If they were getting support from adult heroes, as Danny had desperately needed when he started, and now, thankfully had - but only after going through a ton of stuff alone. Well, not alone, but certainly without adult help.
But mainly to see what the inside of the tower looked like. And maybe take some pictures for Sam and Tucker - to prove he’d been there.
As Danny approached the tower, he didn't see anyone through the window in what he assumed was the common area, the lights were dim, it looked like the heroes were all in bed. Bit early for teens to be in bed, but maybe they had a big fight today, not like he follows the news or anything. Danny double checked he had a tight grip on his invisibility, and phased through the window.
He flew around the common room, poked his head into the kitchen, and started drifting down the corridor. He didn't really care for the common area, though it was quite big, and he took a snap to show Sam and Tucker, but what he was really looking for was a control room type thing. A briefing room? A round table? He wasn't quite sure, something Hero-y. He drifted down the hall, and stopped.
What was with that door?
It was an automatic sliding door, but it was stuck - open. It can't have detected him - he was still intangible. There was no movement to detect, the air was going through him. Like there was an electrical fault? Huh - broken door  - fair enough, rough housing superheroes could defo break a door. Probably hadn't been fixed yet. He drifted through.
This level looked like bedrooms, probably some degree of privacy violation to peek, and he’s already entered without permission. Best leave that alone just in case, don't want to get an eyeful of something. Snooping in communal areas is fine. Like technically trespassing, but no-one really cares - looking in the bedroom is a lot weirder.
He phased down a couple of floors - Sick, training room. Taking photos for Tucker, man this place would make Dash weep with envy. Pretty much every fitness machine Danny had heard of, then like a dozen more. Big flat area in the middle for sparring? Probably. Most people can't just spar mid air afterall.
Danny jumped so much he went up to the floor above - that was a shout. Had someone seen him? No, his invisibility was still on. Now that he had noticed it, he could still hear the shouts, a few floors below - someone was having an argument. Best avoid that then.
Next was a sound of pain, unmistakable that was the sound someone made after being punched. Surely if it was a spar, that would stop now right? Except, Danny was on the gym floor. With the sparring area. And there was no-one there.
Danny drifted slightly closer to the sounds of what was now quite obviously a fight. Down a few levels, and his ghost sense went off. But then didn't. Like it started then changed its mind. Danny flew down to the fight entirely now - how on earth was a ghost in Jump City! He didn't even have a thermos on him, it was back in the hotel room. He was going to have to make a portal and yeet the ghost through! There was no way the heroes wouldn't notice a portal appearing in titans tower! This was going to completely blow his cover. Damn it!
Some Guy was wailing on some other guy. What? Danny doesn't know who these people are, for all he knows these guys both could be villains that broke in and then got in a disagreement. But the larger guy was setting off his ghost sense, and had glowing green eyes. And the smaller guy was definitely still a teen, so by process of elimination was probably one of the teen titans. Without thinking Danny lifted the phone he was holding and took a photo - the flash on the camera started the two into stopping for a moment.
Danny dropped his visibility and swooped in.
“And, time out. Ring ring ring, back to your corner meathead, he’s already down” He pulled the bigger guy away and pushed him back a few feet.
He got snarled at for his trouble - green glowing eyes, and angry to the point of non verbal. Overshadowed human maybe? Well, time for a real estate battle then. Danny phased into the big guy - he was an expert at kicking other ghosts out by now.
Except he couldn’t - because there was no ghost to kick out. The anger was all coming from the human - so a human full of ecto, and really cross about it, and trying to deal with it the way ghosts do - with a big fight. Except he’s fighting humans, who are nowhere near as durable as ghosts, so he’s just beating up a kid.
Ok - Danny is going to have to take over. He leans part way out of the guys, who roars again, and high fives the teen who just stood up.
“Tag, I'm in. I'll bring him back when he’s no longer incoherent with rage. Bye for now”
Danny then flew with the guy out through the side of the building to find a nice empty bit of land for a fight. He’d be back to the hotel late tonight, he hoped mom wasn't waiting up.
—---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Tim looked at the empty wall that Hood had just been kidnapped through.
“Did he just take a photo? That's My thing!”

Okay. DP x DC idea. What if the League met Fenton before they met Phantom. Not in a ghost fight. Not doing anything particularly weird. Just Danny Fenton trying his best.
When they first notice the ghosts of Amity Park they all get a little worried about it, but no one can beat out Batman's paranoia. Ghosts may not have caused too many problems outside of Amity yet, but he doesn't trust that to stay that way. So he researches.
He, of course, finds out about Phantom, but shelves his usual just-in-case-he-turns-evil plans until after he can get some ghostly experts to brief the League. He does some cursory research into Phantom's history and abilities, which of course drags up everything in the Amity News cycle and some references in both Ancient Egypt and Ancient Rome. (So Batsy gives up on the idea of finding out a human civilian identity. Kid's dead and his "life" has been lost to time until he decides to say something.)
But, more importantly, there are no good options for who to ask for lessons in ghost hunting.
First option: the GIW. Absolute morons who have never caught anything stronger than an ectopus, cause more damage to property than the ghosts, and have security so lax it doesn't even take Batman ten seconds to get in. Absolutely not. Not for the watch tower.
Second option: Vlad Co. Owned and operated by billionaire Vlad Masters who runs in the same social circles as Lex Luthor. He has better security than the GIW but the question with him is not whether or not he *could* keep the secret, but whether or not he *would.*
Third option: Dr.s Fenton of FentonWorks. They have the most cutting edge ghost hunting technology and the most published papers. But. Well. A brief survey of the town makes it very clear they are biased at best and bigoted at worst. Not something the League wants to associate with, but they are still the best of the bad options.
Or so they think until Bruce Wayne goes to open contact with them and notices the Fenton children. He knew about them before coming of course. Jasmine Fenton, top of her class with a full ride to Harvard and plans to major in psychology. Has historically been vocal about her distaste for her parent's work. Likely because of Danny. Daniel Fenton is a trouble maker barely scraping by in his classes that had an accident in his parents lab a year ago. Not the brightest and not well behaved, but by all accounts he's got a good heart.
And neither of then are very enthused about his presence in their home. Neither of them seem to care for their parents anti-ghost rhetoric either. Jazz tries to reason with them and Danny just rolls his eyes behind their back. And casually takes apart and fixes one of their inventions.
Bruce quickly makes a minor investing deal with the elder Fentons as cover and a quick way to keep and eye on their research and finds an excuse to get the kids out of the house to talk. Once out, he extends the Justice League's request for training with ghost hunting gear and a project to install anti-ecto security measures in their base(s). Danny is hesitant but agrees.
And Danny is so tired and so done with this crap when he's in the Watch Tower. (He's enamored with the space station for several minutes, but once he gets on track, the League think he's a mini Bruce. All business and telling them not to be idiots.)
He gives them a basic run down of what each item is and how to use it. Common ghostly abilities and power scaling. (Do not call him to consult on a blob ghost, ectopus, or other weak ghostly animal. But they are not to try and fight several of the stronger ghost. A fair amount of this tech will make their afterlives miserable, but won't actually do much beyond annoy them. Superman in particular should stay away from anything strong enough to overshadow. No one wants to fight a possessed Kryptonian.) He gives them plenty of thermoses, guns, nets, and specter deflectors plus some odds and ends for them to test out. And then he starts working on the shield, which he worked on with Tucker to upgrade so it would recognize his ecto signature as friendly (and a couple others like Clockwork, Pandora, Frostbite, and Wulf) so it wouldn't shoot him on the spot.
It would probably take several trips to get everything working properly, by which point Danny has likely made friends with a few League members. And a few of them have probably noticed something weird about him, but they ignore it cause he's a good kid and it's just a little weird. Won't hurt anything.
Constantine takes one look at the kid and is not seen again until months after he finally leaves.
But now they have working ghost defenses and they can protect people if a ghost tries to attack anywhere outside of Amity! (Yes, several ask Danny to install a shield at their personal hideouts as well. Batman tries to figure it out on his own and decides to just ask Danny for now. He'll figure it out eventually, but Fenton schematics are a pain and the power source doesn't look like anything he's ever seen before.)
Eventually everything is done and Danny goes back to his life with a large chunk of cash in his new bank account and a secure line just incase the league needs to consult with him again. Danny thinks that's the end of it until Batman shows up decked out in Fenton gear looking for Phantom.

nightwing the cosplayer
Barely 30 minutes into his shopping journey to find a present for his mom, Danny’s ghost sense went off. He only had enough time to grab the Fenton Thermos and wrist ray from his bag, before three vultures infested The Mall. Easily souping the first vulture, Danny zapped Vulture Number Two, but the distance between them made the impact of the ray feel more like a wrist slap than a gutting punch. Vulture Number Two apparently didn’t like that very much and took it upon himself to attack Danny. As if the vultures weren’t bad enough, Razor Claw came crashing through the ceiling right behind them.
“Fenton!” Dash called because he was here too apparently, “Behind you!” When Danny turned around he was expecting Vulture Number Three, another rebel, maybe even Plasmius himself.
Not Nightwing.
Like Nightwing from Gotham, Nightwing. Formerly Robin the First. Member of the Titans and Justice League Jr. Standing there, like, right in front of Danny. “What the fuck?” Danny heard himself say before turning to Dash, who was standing next to him now and felt validated by their shared confusion.
“Are you a cosplayer?” Danny heard Dash whisper-ask Nightwing.
Nightwing, who was just awkwardly and nervously(?) standing there, seemed taken aback by the accusation. “W-What?” He said gracefully, before regaining his composure. He sounded almost indignant “No, I’m the real Nightwing.” As if to prove himself, he pulled out a Bird-a-rang and displayed it to the two teens like it was some kind of rare YuGiO card. Talk about professionalism.
“Looks fake,” Danny said in a mock whisper to Dash, knowing Nightwing could still hear them.
“He’s totally a cosplayer,” Dash responds with a sage nod. Nightwing was about to respond, but the words were knocked out of him when Danny pushed both of them out of the way of an oncoming vulture attack.
Seriously, why in the Ancients was Nightwing here? If one of the Justice Leaguers had to show, then at least someone useful like Zatanna or Dr. Fate, heck even Constantine. But no , he has to get the guy that outgrew his Robin suit.
Razor Claw used his claw to slice at some of the merchandise in a nearby store, laughing in amusement at the shopper’s terror. Danny slipped his bag off, opening up the middle zipper. “There should be three spectator-deflectors and maybe a few rays.” He told Dash, “The Ghost Shield Rooms are probably full by now, so just use that. You two stay here.”
“What? You’re not dealing with this on your own.” Nightwing protested, grabbing his arm before Danny could leave.
Danny gave him an unimpressed look, “And what? Wait for the Justice League to show up?” Danny scoffed.
Nightwing scowled in response, “Still-”
“Dude.” Danny said pointedly, “We do this like every week. This guy’s a small fry, compared to, like, Plasmius.” Danny reassures him before forcing his arm off to blast an incoming Vulture attack, the positing just right to leave him ready for Thermos Time. “Two down. Easy.” Danny told Nightwing, just as Vulture Number Three swooped down at Danny, knocking the thermos out of his hand, causing  it to roll away from Danny’s line of sight.
Him and his big mouth.
Just then, Razor Claw launches an ectoblast at the three of them. Danny rolled out of the way, putting some distance between himself and the sitting ducks. Dash and Nightwing had already put on the specter deflectors, so the shield had popped up just in time to block the attack. “Dash, you’re on guard duty,” Danny said before heading to deal with Razor Claw and the Last Vulture and hopefully find the thermos.
“I’m doing it because I want to and not because you told me to,” Dash yelled back at him from inside the store. Danny could hear more protest from Nightwing, but not even a Gotham hero could defeat a ghost on their first try (especially one without any powers).
“Sure, dude.” Danny shot back, knowing Dash was probably flipping him off.
“I'll have you in my claws soon, pest.” Razor Claw sneered, turning around on his hoverboard to shoot a blast. The shot from the wrist ray missed the ghost but landed a clean hit to the hoverboard, as the device tumbled down ineffective. Not that it really did much- the ghost just used his natural flying abilities to charge at Danny.
“Kwan!” Danny heard Paulina call out somewhere to his left.
“Yeah?” The football player asked back. Danny looked over and noticed he had the thermos right next to him.
“Look! The thermos!” Paulina pointed out to their intellectually declined friend.
“Oh yeah, I have it” Kwan held it up to show her from where she was crouched down. Paulina facepalmed.
“Give it to Danny, you dumbass!” Star practically screamed at her boyfriend.
“Oh, Okay!” Kwan said before rearing to throw the thermos at Danny. Proving why he was a starter for the football team, the thermos landed squarely in Danny’s hands. Not wasting any more time, Danny scooped up Razor Claw and the incoming vulture.
“Good teamwork guys!” Danny called out to them cheerfully knowing they wouldn’t return the energy.
“Shut up, Turd Face,” Dash said, pushing the spectator-deflector into his chest roughly for no other reason than to be Dash. He went off to join his friends in doing whatever he and his friends did.
“That was pretty impressive,” Nightwing walked up to meet Danny, handing his bag and spectator-deflector back “With a little training, you could easily be on par with the Robins.”
Danny bent down to put his stuff back in his bag, “If this is your invitation for me to join Batman’s gaggle of furries, I’m gonna have to give you a hard pass.” Danny responded, looking up to see Nightwing look like he couldn’t decide if he should laugh or not. “Respectfully.” He added half-heartedly.
Nightwing watched him in amusement. “I thought I was a fake?” Nightwing prompted as Danny stood up swinging on his backpack.
“They don’t exactly sell High-Density Reinforced Kevlar in your average corner store,” Danny said, knocking on Nightwing’s insignia lightly. The unique sound of the light impact confirmed his point.
Nightwing gave him an inquisitive look (Danny assumed). “Then why did you tell your friend-”
“Uh!” Danny stopped him abruptly, putting a finger in his face, “We’re not friends.” Danny started walking into a nearby store with Nightwing following him. “And to answer your question, Dash can keep a secret but not from Kwan. Kwan would try to keep it a secret but he'll probably let it slip to Star. Star tells Paulina everything. And Paulina definitely cannot keep a secret. So unless you wanted all of Amity in your business for however long you’re supposed to be here, I did you a favor.” Danny finished, looking through the rows of memorabilia the store offered. He picked up a snow globe with a little ghost inside.
Nightwing was quiet for a while, still following behind Danny as they headed to check out. “Aren’t you gonna ask why I’m here?”
“No,” Danny said, easily asking the check-out lady to gift wrap the globe for him. “It’s probably the Dr. Kilye case. It went pretty big. And if it’s not, then I’d rather stay not knowing.”
“Cool cosplay, dude.” Said the check-out lady, handing Danny his gift bag.
“Thanks,” Nightwing responded awkwardly, as Danny walked away.

What if Danny were half human, half ghost; as in half of the time?
Kind of like how werewolves have a schedule based on the moon, halfas have a schedule based on the sun.
So, he's completely human by day, and as the sun sets he turns ghost.
Perhaps his parents' inventions won't register him at all, or perhaps they would still be sensitive enough to pick up on something. But the situation would lead to more problems at night.
Since he can't shift between forms at will, it's like the fics about him being stuck in ghost mode, only every night.
Maybe his parents wouldn't notice during summer months. He goes to bed a little early; but that's good, his parents think, he's responsible enough to have an early bedtime for school. (when... school is in session, at least. He apparently wears himself out every single day during summer break?)
But in the winter months, when the sun sets before dinner, he never eats that last meal with his family. Always either not hungry or already ate. (is he... mad at them about something...?)
He's barely seen around the house in the evenings. They know he's around, but they only catch glimpses of him as he goes between rooms. And why is he wearing so many clothes does he have a fever here let me check—
And any event that takes place at night would be worrisome for Danny. Dances, going to the observatory with his family, camping... Even mornings can be iffy during the time of year when the sun rises late; when he has to get ready for school before dawn.
Vlad doesn't have much trouble with being a halfa, though. No one ever notices that he only makes appearances during the day.
Though the Bitter Reunions episode would have a few small changes. It might be easier for those two to recognize each other as halfas. At least if Vlad happens to see Danny Phantom in Danny Fenton's bed, or Danny noticing a ghost doing stuff Mr. Masters would do. Or Danny hearing Vlad's watch alarm going off just as Danny glances at his own watch as he wonders how to politely ask about the guest rooms. He doesn't even open his mouth before Mr. Master starts pushing them up the stairs, talking about how it must've been such a long and tiring trip.
Unless they're both pretty clueless and things happen more similar to in the episode. Except for them discovering each others' identities, because they don't go ghost at will. ...Though at least one of them would probably find out the other's identity anyhow. If they end up fighting until dawn they'd both find out quick. Or if Danny's defeated before sunrise, then he won't turn human, so Vlad might lock him up or something, and then Danny Fenton would be mysteriously missing the next morning. After determining he isn't in the castle or anywhere on the grounds and the vulture ghosts have not killed him, Vlad would probably put it together.
As for the reunion... those typically take place at night. But Vlad would probably have it start an hour or two before sunset, do a little mingling, and have his revenge plan take place after dark as Plasmius.
...The Maternal Instincts episode might be a little more iffy, though. How hard it would be to want Maddie to spend the night, to want to romance her, and yet, he can't be around her at night. He would need a butler or someone to greet her and Danny when they show up after dark, and it would be horrible to have to watch from a distance without being able to speak to her. ...Then again, she'd probably be too worried about her son disappearing out in the woods. When she's told that Mr. Masters has retired early but has a guest room for her, she would say to wake him up, her son is missing in the woods and she needs help searching. ...Although... Danny is probably having a very bad time if Maddie happened to lock the Specter Deflector around his waist during the day and he hadn't been able to sneak the key away before sunset.
Another thing that would be interesting to note is what would happen to a halfa during a solar eclipse. With the sun covered during the day like that, he might have some unique-looking features, stuck between ghost and human.
...Would Danny turn even more ghostly during a lunar eclipse? The sun's on the opposite side of the earth, but now even the moon is in shadow. He might run on ghostly instincts during new moons and lunar eclipses. (which doesn't necessarily mean evil. And that could possibly change the Control Freak episode by way of Danny knowing how he would behave as a full ghost.)

Two Times Two
Inspired by this post by @schnuffel-danny
.
Reality often had a kind of symmetry about it.  What happened once could happen again, and the things that happened could be undone, for the most part, time’s arrow excepted.  Mostly excepted.  Clockwork existed.
Point was, Danny should have seen this coming.  It was just that, even when one of Danny’s parents’ inventions worked on him, he usually didn’t think about them being used on Vlad.  Not unless Vlad was there, like with the Specter Deflector.  There were lines and limits and things.  Not that Vlad seemed to know that
So, he didn’t see this coming.
Didn’t see himself happening on Vlad stealing some blueprints when he went down to empty the thermos.  Didn’t see a fight starting that rolled into the storage area.  Didn’t see his parents fixing the Ghost Catcher after he’d broken it the last time.  Didn’t see them ramming into one of the shelves and Vlad grabbing Danny in a death grip.  Didn’t see the stupid thing falling out and–
Danny had experienced this before.  This unbecoming.  This split.  This unweaving of warp and weft.  But in a future that hadn’t happened, he’d also heard about another split.  One that had left him… wrong.  Broken.  Evil.  Especially with the addition of Plasmius.
He clung with all his might.  But clinging couldn’t change how things worked, and the next thing he knew, he was lying on the tile floor, staring at himself.  He looked shocked.  He felt shocked.
“You–”
Danny rolled over and scrambled out of the way.  Vlad would be split, too, and he–
He–
What?
Danny didn’t know what he was seeing.
No, he did know what he was seeing.  He was seeing Vlad.  He was seeing two of Vlad.  Fighting with each other.
No, that was a too generous description of what was going on.  One Vlad was getting the absolute crap kicked out of him by the other Vlad.  But not the Vlad he would have expected.  Human Vlad was kicking the crap out of ghost Vlad.  He–  This was going to get complicated.  Masters was beating up Plasmius.
What?  Why?  Should he help?  He wanted to help, but Vlad had been beating him up moments before, and he had no idea which side to help on.
Danny didn't always get along with his- With his-
Danny looked back at himself.  The other himself.  Fenton.
Danny, this Danny, was Phantom right now.  Phantom was the one who had gone crazy and killed everyone in the other timeline, but he didn't feel crazy right now.  But what if it happened slow?  What if–
Human Danny - Fenton - tugged the Ghost Catcher out from beneath the Vlads with an exclamation of triumph.  He swept the 'merge' side down towards Masters and Plasmius, but Masters caught it.  The force of the strike pushed him backwards into the shelves, and he reached behind him to grab a random weapon.  He fired twice, the first shot going wide in one direction and the second curving the other way sharply, hitting the Ghost Catcher halfway down its shaft.
The Ghost Catcher shattered, the frame snapping and the tensioned string doing the rest of the work, pulling itself to pieces.
Masters took aim at Plasmius, and Phantom finally drove himself to action, leaping at Masters and phasing them both through the corner of the wall, back out into the main lab.
“Get him out of here!” shouted Fenton, who was also grabbing weaponry from the walls.
“R-right!” said Phantom, phasing the weapon out of Plasmius’s grip and then going up, all the way through the house and out into the street.
Masters, of course, struggled.  Phantom dropped him at the first opportunity.
“Blasted ghost!” He started for the door, and Phantom, naturally, blocked him.  “Get out of my way!”
“I’m trying to help you!” said Phantom.  “You’re going to get hurt if you keep doing that.”  Well, from a certain perspective he was already hurt.  That was him down there.  But from a more… from a…  Phantom didn’t know what perspective he was looking at currently, but…  “You’re going to get hurt, fighting a ghost like that.  Ghosts can– They can–”
Ghosts could kill people.
Vlad sneered.  “And you left your counterpart down there all alone with that ghost?  Not very heroic of you, is it?”
He had, but Fenton had told him to go.  He didn’t want Phantom in the same room as Plasmius, either.  He didn’t trust him.
“You can’t–”
“Stop standing between me and the thing that ruined my life, and I’ll show you just what I can do!”
Phantom was glad it was so late.  No one was out to see this, and no one was likely to come out.  Everyone on this street was used to weird noises at Fentonworks at all hours.  And his parents wore earplugs to bed.
“I just–”
“You’re just going to get out of my way, or you’ll see what I can really do to you without that pathetic thing holding me back!”
Phantom had dropped almost to the ground, the better to intercept Masters if he made another try for the door.  Now, his toes scraped along the ground.
“Thing?” he repeated.  “But… that’s you.  Vlad, you love your powers.”
“It’s not me!  And those powers were hardly compensation for what I’ve had to go through.  I could have had everything sooner, I could have had everything, if it weren’t for all those years it cost me!  It’s not me,” said Vlad, a horrible smile pulling across his face, “not any more than you’re Danny Fenton.”
Phantom’s head whipped around, checking for anyone who might be listening, a reflex he couldn’t suppress.  “You can’t say stuff like that in public, there could be people listening!”
“You’re a parasite, and if we’re both lucky, he’s down there looking for a way to get rid of both of you before you destroy our lives any more than you already have!”
No, Fenton wouldn’t do that.  They knew they needed each other, and Danny wanted to help people.  But… was that Danny or was that Phantom?
Usually there wasn’t any difference.  Usually Phantom wasn’t floating in the street while Fenton was in the basement below, doing who knew what.
.
Fenton pulled an ectogun from the shelf and had it trained on Plasmius before Phantom had even phased completely through the ceiling.  Plasmius, however, didn’t move.  He stayed on the ground, his hands over his head, his cape bunched up weirdly over his body.
The thought crossed Fenton’s mind that he could solve a lot of problems right now.  He didn’t even have to do anything bad.  He just had to suck Plasmius into the nearest Fenton Thermos and dump him somewhere that Masters wouldn’t be able to get to.  Simple.  Easy.  Especially if Phantom helped.
He allowed himself the fantasy for a split second.  No more superpowered billionaire trying to murder his father and force him into being his evil apprentice.  No more looking over his shoulder for the other half ghost.  No more having to listen to him being a creep around Mom, because he could just kick him out.
But…
His hands shook.  He knew what it felt like without Phantom.  That fraction of a second where he thought that Phantom might not listen to him…
What must it feel like to have your literal other half attack you?  Even thinking back to future Vlad’s vague description of what had happened in that timeline had made Danny nauseous.  Although, the copious amounts of murder and destruction might have had a role in that as well.
“Plasmius?” he said, cautiously.  “You okay?”
Plasmius made a sort of sobbing sound.  “No,” he said.
His voice was… different than Danny was used to.  He lowered the gun.  “Do you need help or something?”
Very slowly, Plasmius sat up.  He was a lot different than Danny was used to.  For one, he was younger.  Age-wise, he looked almost like he had when Danny had gone to the past.  His ‘cape’ was actually a blanket.  The rest of his clothes had been replaced by medical scrubs.  He was thinner.  A lot thinner.  Almost emaciated.  His face and neck were covered in oozing ecto-acne pustules.
Danny, startled, flinched back.
Plasmius’s face crumpled and he started to cry.  “E-everyone hates me!” he wailed.
“That’s not true,” lied Fenton.  He was pretty sure it was true.  “You’ve got–”  What did Vlad have, actually?  “You have fans or something, right?”
“No one came to see me in the hos– in the hospital.  And you’re pointing a gun at me, and I don’t–!”  Plasmius continued wailing.
This was actually pretty pathetic.
“Hey,” said Fenton, “quit it.  You’re supposed to be an adult, aren’t you?”
“Everyone knows college students aren’t real adults!”
Well, someone had better tell Jazz that.  “Yes, they are,” said Danny, incredulous.  “Look, I know you just got kicked a bunch, but that was by human Vlad, wasn’t it?  You’re a ghost.”
Vlad wailed harder.
“Oh my gosh!  It isn’t like this is a new development!”  Danny wondered if he should soup Plasmius anyway.  “Just– Pull yourself together until we can figure out how to pull ourselves together.”
Plasmius stilled.  “No,” he said.
“What do you mean ‘no?’” asked Danny.  “You’re a wreck.”
“No, I’m not going back to him.  He’s awful.”
“He’s you.”
“He’s not.  I would never try to do the things he’s done!  I–”  Plasmius rubbed his eyes.  “I miss my friends!  He wants us to be so lonely.”
Fenton might not even be half ghost at the moment, but even so he could identify the resonance of a ghost talking about part of their Obsession.
Heck.
“I won’t do it again.  I won’t.  I won’t.”  His hands moved over his face, nails scraping.  “I want my friends– I want my–  Don’t want–  No.”
“Uh, Vlad?” said Danny, backing away.  “Why don’t you calm down for a bit?”
Things started to lift from the table.  The lights flickered.  Fenton lunged for the thermos just in time for the lights to go out completely.
.
Phantom looked back as the door opened, and had to get between it and Vlad again.
“Oi!” shouted Fenton, jumping down the steps.  “Fruitloop!”
Vlad’s whole face twitched into something like rage.  “Daniel.”
Phantom saw Fenton pause, clearly taken aback.  He held the thermos closer to his chest.  “Listen,” said Fenton, “we’ve got to come up with a way to fix this.”
“Yes,” said Masters, folding his hands behind his back as if he hadn’t just been ready to tear Danny’s eyes out.  “Your parents have, however, furnished us with the equipment to do it.  I believe I saw plans for a ghost incinerator–”
“Okay, first off, those don’t work, and secondly, what is wrong with you?”  He shook the thermos at Vlad.  “This is you.”
“It is not.  It’s a piece of ectoplasmic residue that has made my life a hell of indecision and paranoia since your imbecile of a father disfigured me.  Something he did to you as well.”
“Vlad,” said Fenton, “what are you talking about?”
“I’m talking about ghosts and their Obsessions.  That pest has had me thinking in circles since it first infested me, and if you have even an eighth of Maddie’s intelligence, you’ll realize that this thing is doing the same to you.  It’s only because of my superior willpower that I’ve been able to resist it.”
“W-wait,” said Phantom, drifting sideways to float by Fenton.  “Are you- You’re saying that you’ve been suppressing your Obsession?”
“‘Suppressing my Obsession,’” mocked Masters.  “Do you even hear yourselves?  It isn’t real, even for full ghosts.  It’s nothing.  An illusion.”
“Wow,” said Fenton.  “You’re even more fruitloopy than usual.  You do know that if you stay this way for too long, you start dying, right?  You are literally only half a person right now.”
“You have no way to know that.”
“I mean, I– we kind of felt it, when we did this before.  It sucked.  Tell him it sucked, Phantom.”
“It sucked,” confirmed Phantom.  “W-we should work together, because this affects both of– All of us, and, um…”
Masters clenched his fists, then smirked.  “You want to work together because you have no way to fix it.”  He turned his gaze to Fenton.  “You’ll come to me begging me to fix your real problem soon enough.”  He started to walk away.  “You know where to find me when you finally see sense!”
“I am trying to solve the real problem!” shouted Fenton after him.  “You jerk!”
Vlad didn’t respond, turning the corner to go down the other street.
“Uh- uhm,” said Phantom.  “You don’t– You don’t think–”
“We need to find a way to get Mom and Dad to fix the Ghost Catcher.  Pronto.”
Phantom’s shoulders slumped.  “Oh.  Yeah.  Yes, that’s good.”
