been thinking about softdom price and sub reader helping put bratty gaz back into his place

and when he finally gets tamed his whimpers and pleas are like the cutest thing

“You don’t understand this is our job” you say, tone coated in frustration.

“To die? To get yourself hurt? To worry the ones you love? That’s your job? Well you’re doing an excellent job congratulations sirs” Gaz shouts out before he storms out the room.

“Garrick!” Price shouts behind him and attempts to follow but you grab ahold of his hand and shake your head

“Later”

Price and you try talking to Gaz all day, only to have all attempts being shut down by the younger man. You finally find an opportunity when Gaz is in his room, taking a shower.

Price is pacing back and forth while you’re seated on Gaz’s bed, you’d say something to calm Price’s nerves but even you are feeling a bit on the edge.

Finally Gaz comes out the bathroom with only a towel around his waist, a surprise look flashes across his face before a frown replaces it “what are you two doing here?”

You and Price have to focus extra hard so your gazes don’t trail down to where the towel hangs low around his waist , especially when he turns around and bends over to get boxers out the drawers.

When Gaz doesn’t get a response he turns back to the two of you with a raised brow only for you and Price to awkwardly look away, while clearing your throats at the same time.

“So?” He says shamelessly dropping the towel to put on his boxers and you and Price have to awkwardly look around the room as he gets dressed while Gaz does his best to hide the small on his face

“We wanted to talk” you finally manage to say

“Yes” Price grunts out

“Talk then” Gaz says, still trying to suppress the smile on his face while leaning up against a wall, his half naked body now on full display, defined arms folded over his chest and with his tight boxers leaving nothing to the imagination

You give him a look like aren’t you going to get dressed but Gaz doesn’t even budge from where he stands, only shrugs in response and you sigh as you shift around uncomfortably where you sit on the bed.

“We wanted to apologize” Price says, however his gaze is trailing over Gaz’s body.

“For what we said earlier” you continue, noticing how Price has stopped talking.

“We understand that what we said may have upset you,” for a second Gaz’s eyes soften, the tension bleeding out his shoulders only for it to return once you finish your sentence “but you have to understand that this is our job”

“If that’s all you wanted to say then you can leave, it’s late and I’d like to sleep” he says as he pushes himself off the wall and tries to walk over to the empty side of the bed only to be stoped by Price’s hand.

Price is quick to stand up, his whole body now hindering Gaz from moving any further.

You hear Gaz’s breath hitch, Adams apple bobbing nervously as something akin to lust bleeds into his iris.

One of Price’s arms sneak around Gaz’s waist while the other wraps around his throat, his hot breath washing over Gaz’s bare shoulder as he whispers the words “It’s okay love, we don’t have to talk if you don’t want to.” eyes half lidded and voice hoarse, gently caressing Gaz’s throat.

“How about we do something else instead?” He continues, head moving even closer to Gaz’s shoulder and placing a kiss there, which in turn raises goosebumps all over the younger man’s body.

“Like what?” Gaz says, voice breathy and strained, adams apple bobbing again

“Oh I think you know very well what that might be, isn’t that right love?”

“Just like that sweetheart, doing so well,” Price says to you as you continue to bob down onto Gaz’s length while Gaz is trashing his head side to side, hands threatening to rip the sheets from how hard he’s gripping them while harshly biting down on his lips to keep the moans from spilling out of him. “We could do this all night, isn’t that right Angel?”

He lost it in rock slide. The Stoneclan south camp is located at the base of a mountain next to the town, and cats living there coordinate missions to scale the mountain to hunt mountain goats, which offer a decent source of prey especially in lean times, and especially since Stoneclan is the biggest clan. These slopes are gravelly and volatile though, and are prone to sudden landslides. This happened to Shalestar, his leg got caught in the slide and he suffered a severe crush injury. Most cats wouldn't have survived this, but Stoneclan is unique in that they are not above turning to human medical help. Shalestar spent several months healing in the local animal shelter before returning to the clan, and the south camp’s deputy Grayjay took up leadership duties in his absence. Stoneclan has two deputies, one for each camp, which can be helpful if situations like these arrive.

He’s adapted to the change well, but doesn’t partake in mountain hunting parties any more, and doesn’t visit the North camp as often as Stoneclan leaders usually do. He also occasionally experiences phantom pains, as well as lasting emotional repercussions/survivor’s guilt from the traumatic incident.

He’s prone to ignoring his own needs sometimes, and Grayjay often provides support for him and reminds him to properly care for himself. The two are very close and frequently spend time together.

Also regarding fanon Tim it is really pity that a lot of fans and even writers regard Tim as a mini-Bruce when i feel he should be opposite especially when it comes to their social circle. Like Tim is fascinating to me because he looked at the dark and gloom and isolation of both Gotham and Bruce and went, "It deserves to be saved. I will save it and i'll do it without it destroying me" (he failed but he tried, god did he try).

If Bruce Wayne is a mask for Batman then Robin is a mask for Tim Drake.

If Bruce is actively isolating himself then Tim is actively seeking people out (even if it sometimes means slight stalking and casual breaking and entering, which, Tim, buddy).

When his parents died Bruce buried the child he was and dedicated his life to make sure something like this would never happen to anyone else and when Jason he almost went and broke his one rule. When everyone in Tim's life was dead or dying he tried to held onto every little thing that could bring that normalcy back from before everything went to shit, whether it be cloning, trying to find Bruce, or even lazarus pit.

It is why Tim becoming batman always ends horribly, not because Tim is secretly a deranged guy but because becoming batman means affectively killing what makes him Tim Drake. It is also why i think the best ending for him would be retirement, the boy who chose to take up the robin mantle grows up to be the man who chose to give up the mantle (naturally this would take a lot of development since i feel Tim is rather addicted to it but also i think it would be good. I also feel he would still do hero work on side but as a consultant or support)

(I alse feel isolation is a major struggle for both of them. However Bruce embraces it, becomes a part of it, while Tim rejects it, loses to it. A Lonely Place of Dying indeed)

Nah, anon, you're valid. I'm not crazy into Tim and haven't read anything with him yet (though @benbamboozled has convinced me to read Young Justice 98), from what I know of the canon version of Tim, he is very critical of Batman, which you kind of have to be if your goal is to help them (as opposed to enabling someone)

Here we have Tim on Bruce's approach to paranoia and work colleagues:

which will for me always be core part of Tim's characterization. He's very far from the boy who will blindly follow Bruce to get his approval. I think of all the Robins Tim might be the least interested in Bruce's approval. (Modern era Dick is weirdly open about wanting Bruce's approval which I don't like. Nightwing is for me ideally in extreme denial about his and Bruce's interdependance.)

Tim is far too aware of Batman's problems to want to become him. This is the kid that became Robin at Batman's lowest low. He didn't become the sidekick/ward/son of a vigilante who was larger than life, he became the support of a broken down man. It makes sense to have Dick and Jason involuntarily idolize the man, because the Batman they knew was amazing, but the Batman Tim knew? That was a spiralling man.

Which might also be why it bothers so many people that Tim isn't allowed to grow out of the Robin mantle, it feels extremely natural for him to be getting over his original mantle and connection to Batman.

Andrew can’t quite believe it. Oh shit. His hands are already sweating. He might kill himself. After wiping his palms on his comforter, he considers the question. His first choice would naturally be the cafe near the station. It’s clean and the coffee is good. But…

It’s right across from the station. Which means it’s frequented by other firefighters. Namely his crew. And Andrew would rather walk into a burning building with no gear than for any of those nosy bastards to see him and 10. Because they certainly would bring up the Mr. Firefighter thing again.

After a lot of thought, Andrew finally decides on a spot. It’s a place he’s been to with Aaron. It’s not as nice but it’s at least far, far away from any prying eyes.

Andrew Have you heard of the Magnolia Cafe? 10 No. Where is that? Andrew It’s across from the movie theater, sort of.

You made me want to rewatch ysblf and it made me realize that Armando is lowkey actually kind of insane? He goes from barely noticing Betty to getting real intense about her. He blurred the professional and personal lines way before the plan. Like why was he so upset to find out she had a boyfriend? He really expected her to confide in him with such a private matter. He was just his boss even if he treated in a special way like he states, but then again, why do that in the first place? I think you mentioned that there was no way this is how he treated his prev secretary which is honestly very interesting and speaks volumes about when his feelings for her started to deepen without even realizing it. Of course we know It wasn’t true that she was dating Nicolas, but even if she had had a bf for real, she still wouldn’t have told him. She was really reserved and constantly tried to keep her personal life private before their affair. And also they way he reacted after Charlie Zaa kissed her on the cheek and she got all excited? And to react like that with Marcela in close proximity?

It almost makes me wish her supposed bf had been someone other than Nicolas bc since he was aware of everything and involved with Terramoda it was easy for Mario to become paranoid of his true intentions with Betty and pass this on to Armando, but with someone else in the picture that was not involved on their business in any way? His whole jealousy would have been very hard to disguise. Or would Mario still find a way to get paranoid and suspicious? Was she really not allowed to have a love life while Ecomoda was hers? This part is crazy to me. Love and business was mixed so well in the series. There’s this whole ambiguity regarding Armando’s feelings and about the reason of his reactions that adds so much to the story and makes him a very complex character. I had watched lfmb before and Lety’s revenge wasn’t enjoyable to me because the filler they added before she read the letter made it very obvious that Fernando was in love with her and already wanted to cancel his wedding to be with her instead, he flat out admits this out loud whereas Armando tried to deny his feelings for so long, put on a façade in front of Mario even when it was no longer believable that even he had to call him out on it, all of this made this whole arc very satisfying to watch as a viewer. I know i say he's insane here (lmao) but I gotta defend him and say you know, perhaps he is just intense? (it's both). I've said before he's very emotional (and not very rational) and he has an ego (and he's insecure). You combine those these traits (plus a child of nepotism who has never been denied anything) and you get Armando.

Betty impressed him from the interview when she said, 'I know I can learn a lot from you'. Fed his ego a little bit but also Betty's honesty brings out a tender look in Armando's eyes. Softens him. Also, despite what everyone says, he really did want a secretary that could do actual work. Aside from not wanting to hire Patricia bc he didn't want Marcela spying on him.

Armando, despite having everything one could dream of having in life, has never had someone in his corner without asking for anything in return. Let's backtrack real quick---His dad voted for Daniel to be president, despite the fact that its said that Daniel has never worked at Ecomoda. Armando got the extra vote he needed from Marcela, whom he discussed marriage with days before the vote. So all he knows is transactional relationships and how any kind of support is conditional. His animosity towards Daniel stems from competition that Roberto instilled. Armando has no idea what loyalty looks like or what it means to be unconditional to someone. Until he meets Betty.

If Armando is insane about Betty in one way, then so is Betty in her loyalty to him. She held onto his agenda like she was asked even tho it got her fired, she turned down a top dollar bribe even tho it could have helped her family (and felt terrible for contemplating it when she confessed it to him), she helped him cover his affairs with other models, she helped him commit financial fraud, she helped him set up a company so the banks wouldn't jump him. Who does that? An insane person (who's terribly in love with their boss).

Armando has never had someone in his life that he didn't have to share, who isn't related to anyone he hated, who he doesn't have to make backend deals with to get what he wants. For the first time he has someone who's on his side and no one else's.

And in the middle of all of that, she becomes his friend. His confidant. His co-schemer. He's instilled so much trust in her. Allowed her to know so much about him. Things that Marcela doesn't even know. In return, he's met her family (bc as a mutual said, they are always together), she later confesses to him that she lied to her dad about how she started off as his secretary (not assistant). He feels, up until the embargo happens, that he knows her.

But then he hears she has a boyfriend and suddenly he feels a sense of betrayal. Why didn't she confide this personal information with him when he probably gave her his social security number? (and also his company but he's not even thinking about the company when he hears the possibility that she has a boyfriend). Now suddenly he has to share her?? (Mi Betty tiene novio??) That all that loyalty, admiration, and devotion she's shown him up until that moment might not be his at all. On top of that, he realizes that he may not know her as well as he thought and that she may not want him to know her like she knows him. And I think that both offends and hurts him.

The lines from Armando's POV become blurred first because of all the above. The more he trusts her, the more he depends on her, (which scares Mario btw). ect. But it's different for Betty because she is very aware of the lines and when the affair portion starts, she begins to struggle with it.

Of course we know It wasn’t true that she was dating Nicolas, but even if she had had a bf for real, she still wouldn’t have told him. She was really reserved and constantly tried to keep her personal life private before their affair

She absolutely would not have told him and the only reason the cuartel thought she had a thing for Nicolas was bc Mariana read her the cards and the cards implied that there was a man in Betty's life and they teased her about it. She used Nicolas's name to cover up her growing feelings for Armando as a consequence of her attempting to keep her private life private. And the sad thing about that is once Armando gets word about Nicolas and the boyfriend rumors, Betty writes in her diary that she fears something bad will happen. And, u know, it does.

Jealous of the way she enjoyed Charlie Zaa's attention, straight up forgot Marcela was there. Also, the fact that for a nanosecond she admired another man that wasn't him.

Mario would still find a way to be suspicious. If it was someone, say for example, some old co worker from the bank she worked at--We'll call him Bank Guy. How do we know she won't also tell Bank Guy about the embargo? How do we know she won't also give a job to Bank Guy?' It would still bother Armando that she didn't tell him about hypothetical Bank Guy bc he thought they had a reciprocal friend\schemer\employee\boss relationship (you're right, he's insane).

This requires an essay length response bc BOY do I have thoughts on this!!!! Short Answer: In Armando's eyes, NO. Because that's his Work Wife.

I watched LFMB when was like, 16, and have gone back a couple times to rewatch some scenes and no--Lety's gaslighting arc doesn't hit the same. Even tho I will always defend LFMB's 'before the letter filler arc' bc its cute, it makes the story lose its pacing. Betty has to read the letter right after the second night, right as Armando feelings are at a high point so that their roles are reversed. Lety and Fernando aren't as calculating, they're too emotional (crybabies), their romance reads like two infantile adults who grew up lonely. Betty and Armando are not like that at all. They're set up as soulmates, but their inner problems as people are not identical.

...whereas Armando tried to deny his feelings for so long, put on a façade in front of Mario even when it was no longer believable that even he had to call him out on it, all of this made this whole arc very satisfying to watch as a viewer.

LFMB really robs Fernando of this bc they didnt want him to be unlikable. Armando at the beginning of the story is not someone you wanna see get the girl, but that's part of his journey. And modern audiences dont understand that. Fernando not hiding his love for Lety doesn't hit the same as watching Armando fight with himself and making excuses for his feelings and then finally witnessing him say to an empty office 'Armando Mendoza you're in love for the first time in your life and it's with Beatriz Pinzon Solano'.

That is the build up audiences are waiting for with a character like Armando and when Fernando does it....It's doesn't hit and it's not as memorable.

succession scene of all time honestly if we really wanna get into it. like for one scene to unpack So Much in one go was just absolutely insane.

kendall comes down those stairs and stewy is there and we haven’t seen stewy since he was in kendall’s room in england refusing him cocaine for his own good and you think okay. stewy is mad, he’s gotta be fucking furious. you think okay, stewy’s gonna call him an idiot and a liar and yell at him for fucking with stewy’s money and for the idk, the bad business acumen and unprofessionalism of backing out of deal or something.
