Hi! I'm a sucker for non-human meta, and I was thinking about the Qunari. Since they are bigger than humans, an average human heart would be too small to distribute the blood in their body, so they need a bigger heart. Not only that, but the bigger you are, the slower your heartbeat is (at least for mammals). So if you were to press your ear against Bull's chest, you would hear his heart beating very slowly. Also it makes sense that Qunari are hairless body-wise, because a big body = more heat to dispel, which would be trapped beneath too many hairs and the guys would have a heatstroke. So next time Josephine wants a heating pad, she can just cuddle to Ari's chest and be soothed by his slow heartbeat :3

I completely SUCK at answering things lol. I swear I was going to answer this not long after getting it, but then I got sidetracked. Basically a moment of OOOO SHINY! lol. To answer your question basically EVERY INTERVIEW. He doesn't have ANY boring interviews. I know that is a LOT to watch, but he really does give great interviews. Just know though that you will end up going down a GIANT rabbit hole lol. It's not a bad thing, but there is a LOT of content out there to watch. Also on another note never be sorry for popping back into my inbox. You're welcome to anytime lol I just am horrible at responding. It's me who should apologize for the late response!

OMG 😭 HII ok i’m gonna answer this ask real quick before turning into a (relative) tumblr recluse for the rest of the week !! first of all i’m so so glad u enjoyed pt 1 bc this is a fic that’s definitely out of my comfort zone a little in terms of characters and plot and themes and all so i’m so happy ppl r liking it so far ! i promise promise promise i am working on pt 2!! honestly i’ve just been so swamped by school and work lately it caught me WAY off guard how busy i’ve been in the last couple weeks and i’ve barely had time to like . cook full meals and clean my room and stay caught up with hw much less do things for fun 😭 i definitely thought i’d be more ahead on this fic than i am rn but i also got sidetracked by fake dating fic and now i’m here LOL so sorry it’s taking so long for both of them! it’s rly important to me that i publish fics im proud of, even if that means taking longer to write them instead of rushing/doing it halfheartedly just to get it done so i rly appreciate u being patient!! pinky swear it’s in the works !! <3

4. What’s a word that makes you go absolutely feral?
- Oooh...... so many!!!! Ok then I got sidetracked so I'm back with an actual word lmaooooo (story of my life).
It's a weird one but words like chastened. I find that, as a multilingual, English is one of the languages that do a piss poor job at describing emotions and personalities. Chastened is a word that comes quite close to describing the "look" of a character to me, especially "sufficiently chastened". It's like... someone was scolded and they're now feeling slightly sheepish and a bit sorry for themselves and yet not having to verbalize it. The writer can put in "chastened" and I feel like it describes so many things with the one word. If that all makes sense!
16. What’s the weirdest thing you’ve ever used as a bookmark?
- If we're talking AO3 bookmarks? tags? nothing because I tend to not leave much commentary there. For physical bookmarks though... I guess a receipt?
I actually don't use bookmarks when I read physical books. Although it's wonky lately (because of my trauma), I have a photographic memory. I tend to remember where in the book I left off and I'm usually able to find it without noting it (I remember where in the paragraph I stopped reading as well as the general "spot" in the book).
It came in pretty handy when I was an English lit major lol None of my books had tabs or bookmarks in them because of this.
25. What is a weird, hyper-specific detail you know about one of your characters that is completely irrelevant to the story? (answered in previous post so if you'd like to choose another q, feel free to!)
Ooooh there are so many that are actually relevant to my stories so... hard to choose lol I try to make hyper-specific details be relevant (because it's one of my Autism things). For the most part, I model Kinn's character over a typical corporate employee. It never really comes up (unless it's my Locked In fic, which is specifically set in a corporate background). I think of his character as very set and strict and very much always "for the good of the corporation" which honestly... mafia... corporations... can't tell the difference these days LOL

what are... arm socks and what are they for?
ahhh ok so!! armsocks are like long sleeved crop tops with gloves, basically. they’re made out of tights so they have to be hand-sewn. i’m looking at these for now since i can’t sew LOL
mostly they’re used for cosplay tho! :0c i mean i suppose there are other uses for them but i’m not sure what that would be LMAO
but i want ‘em for my nepeta cosplay bcuz i’m tired of painting my hands & arms gray every dragoncon :o

okay just one more teensy tinsy ask and then I promise I'm done - for today - lol
we have definitely spent too long without talking about lancelot again, so what would it be like dating him before he becomes an actual knight of camelot? like I imagine travelling with gwaine before the end of season 3 is a lot different from travelling with lancelot back then, even though they're literally travelling the same lands with basically about the same resources (which are none)

Fair warning: I kinda got sidetracked with this one lol
You meet him at some fighting ring, which has apparently become his thing after leaving Camelot.
But wait, that’s not right. You’re sure you’ve seen this guy before. You can’t remember for the life of you where, though.
So that night, when he drags himself out of the damn cage with a black eye and blood blossoming on the shoulder of his tunic, you follow him.
You nearly give him a heart attack when you speak up.
“Do I know you?”
“I don’t know, do you?”
The answer is definitely yes, and it comes to you in the dimly lit tunnels of a cursed citadel.
You didn’t just meet this guy before, you used to be his friend.
“Lancelot?”
“I’m sorry, should I- (Y/N)?”
You travelled together a few years back, after he came to your aid while fighting a group of bandits.
Three years later, with his hair cut short and a scar on his cheek, and you barely recognised him. But it is undeniably him.
“So, did you end up finding Camelot?”
“You could say that.”
“I’m taking it you didn’t become a knight.”
“Would I be here if I did?”
You both decide to travel together again.
In many ways, Lancelot is not the same as he was all those years ago. Becoming a Knight of Camelot was his dream, his calling, and now he doesn’t know what to do with himself.
But you drag him along and that’s exactly what he needs, to see that there’s more in the world than just Camelot.
Together, you take on bandits trying to raid villages -making sure no one has to suffer the same fate Lancelot did- or wayside thugs.
Fighting together comes naturally. All you need is to look at Lancelot’s face to know he’s about to toss you his sword.
He asked you out like it was the most mundane thing in the world.
It was late at night, the two of you lying next to each other in a meadow under the stars, and he just asked. Simple as that.
He surprises you with flowers all the time. He just shows up with them and tucks one behind your ear and gives you the rest.
You show up at Hengist’s castle together and both play a part in saving Gwen. Lancelot reunited with her, Arthur, and Merlin, and he introduces you to them.
You can’t go back to Camelot, but you overhear Lancelot giving Merlin the address of a friend if he ever wants to write.
And then back on the road you go.
He's pulled you out of the shelter of whatever cave you were taking shelter in, just so he could kiss you in the rain.
Occasionally, he'll grab your hand while you're walking just to spin you around and start dancing with you.
It's a simple life, but you've got each other and that's all you'll ever need.
Well, it's simple until you receive news from Merlin that Camelot has fallen.

Sorry if you've already gotten/answered this question (I don't follow this blog but I've been seeing it on my dash from reblogs quite often lately and now I'm curious) but I would like to ask: what do you think of the Kirby light novels?
Personally I really like them, though admittedly I haven't read that many of them (though I've heard the earlier ones were... kinda weird until Galaxy's Greatest Warrior), which is kinda embarrassing since I'm part of the community translating them into English since they aren't localized, but the ones I have read have been great. Especially loved the Battle Royale one (despite the cursed implications that Whispy Woods can walk). And Save the Rainbow Islands, that one has Rick in it and Kirby nearly dies-
And I need to read Knight of Hades I never learned how that one ended I just know that at the start Meta Knight dies-
(Sorry for rambling I'll leave now).
Haha to be honest, I've only fully read the first one since I was going to translate it but got sidetracked. I haven't read the others through yet, since I did consider translating those, but I have heard a lot of the juicy bits!
They sound really interesting overall. I like that they include new characters and new plots, and take some different perspectives of game events. And the first one was goddamn hilarious- it felt very similar to the sort of absurd humor the anime uses so naturally I would be a fan. (The scene with Dedede trying on different ridiculous outfits and asking for poor Waddle Dee's opinion and the poor kid can barely breathe... I was dying.)
And I'm a sucker for a good running gag or two... (I was gonna translate Mrs. Parfaisky/Parfaitlike as 'Mrs. Lovecake' so the joke with her name would work better in English lol)
I'm still half considering doing my own translations but I also don't wanna step on anyone's toes? I'd be cool with helping if anyone needed it tho.

In the City of the Moon half-retaken they walk with little fear. She knows these streets; it feels like merely decades that last she walked here. The bound-spirit watchers have been shattered and the doors to the old halls stand open for any who wish to enter.
The ancient throne room floor is stained dark and dull where once it had reflected pale lanterns in brilliant patterns, but the throne itself has been well-kept. She stands long before it, lost in thought.
“Sileär,” Omaruin calls. It sounds as if it comes from a great distance. She takes a deep breath. Not all the foulness has been cleansed from the city, and here it lingers thick at the back of her throat.
“I meant to see the Naldassar,” she says. “But perhaps another day. There is still much to be done here.” She turns her back on the throne that had once belonged to a friend.

In the City of the Kings rebuilt they walk with hard-earned joy. She smiles with fierce pride for what her friends have done, everything they have remade. The lake has retreated, the paving stones have been relaid, the gardens flower. You might hardly recognize it.
She knows that street, though, and the ward to which it leads, the tower above. Barad Tironn. The hall of the Annúminas-stone. That those last days with Laerdan are long past does not ease the tension at the back of her neck nor the memory of the heavy stone clutched tight to her chest.
She slows, and does not answer the others’ questions. They would not understand it, though she would have their sympathy. Only Calenglad was there when she returned, running, and he too has been gone for many years now.
“Esterín, we will be late!” She shakes herself and hurries on, after her friends to present themselves in the brilliance of the restored throne room in Ost Elendil above the deep waters.

In the Golden Hall she stands a shift at guard. It is terribly boring, especially too far from the throne to overhear anything at all. You earned this, a voice irritatingly like her brother’s says. She did, but that hardly means she has to enjoy it. At least she will be spared Déorna’s not-quite-lecture on the whole sorry situation. Brigild’s will be harder to avoid, though. Maybe if she can find Burnoth and allow herself to get sidetracked helping him and his men for the evening…
“Isena, stand straight!” She almost fumbles her spear and pulls herself upright.
“I am!”

The ancient throne of Durin is still a sight, and steals his breath even after many trips along Zurr-thurkh to escort those who know better than he what all the adornments and runes mean.
Loose pebbles shiver against the ground over the low voices of the dwarves at the foot of the throne. The shadows stir, reaching from the heights of the cavern where torches alone will not reach and from behind great falls of stone. Are those… footsteps? Drums? He has never seen a troll big enough to make that sound.
“Glainyn, what is it?”
“I think we should leave.” Something crashes in the depths of the first delvings of Khazad-dûm and even Durin’s throne-room shudders. “Now! Run!”

“Bee makes another friend through music”
a/n: It’s kind of cliche for an nct oc to be friends with someone from skz but I don’t really care lol. Don’t be shy and interact a little, ask box is always open. Any kind of feedback will be very appreciated💛
With the end of the year, Stray Kids and NCT Dream got to do a few special stages together, one of which the girl wasn’t a part of since it was only three members of each group. During the day of their first practice, Bee walked side by side with Jisung in the hallways of SM, the boy was slightly late and the girl was there just because she didn’t want to stay at home.
“I hope we can become friends with them” Jisung said while picking up his pace, making the girl walk a lot faster since her legs were much shorter than his.
“We probably will, just make sure you’re not too weird”
“I’m not weird” Jisung scoffed and Bee smiled at his denial.
Finally walking inside the room, she saw Jaemin and Chenle sitting on the ground while talking with three standing boys, who turned around very fast and bowed to the incomers.
Smiling, Bee shook Felix’s hand, and when she was about to shake Hyunjin’s she saw Jisung making a scissor with his fingers instead of accepting Seungmin’s handshake. Suppressing a groan, she greeted the other two boys and turned towards Jaemin and Chenle.
“You’re not supposed to be her missy” Jaemin spoke with a weird tone and place his hands on his hips.
“I wanted to see you practice,” Bee said matter of factly and when Chenle raised his eyebrow she continued “And Renjun’s idea of fun is teaching me Chinese, so I guessed I would enjoy my day off hiding from him”
Walking to the side of the room, she reached for the cabinet on top of the sound stuff, took a pink blanket she kept there in case she ever needed it, and sat down on the couch in the back of the room.
“Okay everyone let’s- Oh, Yun-hee, you’re only needed tomorrow. Did you not get my message?” The dance instructor said entering the room and frowning at the girl.
“Yes, I did. Please let me stay, I promise I won’t disturb you” Bee pleaded slightly scared of the man telling her to go away. He nodded her to stay and she curled up on the couch, back towards the room as she opened the Netflix app and started browsing through it, opting to watch a drama she heard was good.
Her AirPods blocked the sound of the room, so when the second episode ended she thought it was weird that the boys hadn’t taken a break by now. Turning around, she noticed only Seungmin was still in the room, going through a choreography she assumed was the one they were taught that day.
Assuming to stare at him would be weird, Bee sat back flat on the couch and opened the music app, pressing play on a random song and waiting for him to finish. Within two minutes, to boy sat on the ground and she took one airpod out to talk to him.
“Did the others leave you here?” her voice scared him a little making him flinch and turn around.
“I thought you were asleep, sorry” Seungmin stood up awkwardly and looked around the room, remembering her question his eyes widened and he returned his attention to her “Yeah, they went to grab snacks downstairs. They said they would bring something for you too”
“Sweet” Bee decided to be a little brave and sat up on the couch, her back on the armrest “You can sit here if you want”
Walking to sit on the free spot on the couch, Seungmin looked around the room again, head instantly freezing when he heard a melody coming out of the bud out of her ear. “You’re listening to Day6?”
“Yeah, Sweet Caos” Bee unlocked her phone screen and turned towards him to show the album logo “I really like their songs. Are you a fan of them?”
“Oh God yes!” Bee laughed at his sudden excitement “Someone once asked me if I liked Day6 or Stray Kids better. I swear to you, the most difficult question of my life”
Getting comfortable, they started to freak out over their favorite albums and sidetracks when the rest of the boys came back.
“They didn’t have your cookies so I brought this instead” Jaemin threw a bag of chips to her and sat down in front of the couch, the rest following him and making some kind of circle.
“Did you like the stage?” Chenle chew on a sandwich and gesture towards Bee.
“Well, I didn’t really pay much attention to you guys” Bee smiled honestly and Jisung shook his head in disappointment. Cleaning his throat Felix decided to say something that was on his mind for some time.
“Thanks for being nice to us. I was kind of nervous to come here and practice with you guys” He said gesturing to the NCT boys “But like, you were very welcoming showing us around and stuff. And even you” he now turned towards Bee “You didn’t need to come today, and I know you didn’t do it because of us, but it’s still nice that you were hanging out with Seungmin when we were away”
“Thanks for saying that. You guys are really awesome too” Jaemin answered for his group.
“Hey, we’re friends now.” Jisung said smiling at them and everyone laughed at the youngest, falling in silence a few seconds later.
“Well...” Seungmin turned to the girl out of nowhere “Do you want to see the text Jae Sunbaenim sent me one time?”
“Of course I do!”

Please give us details about the Zach fic! What is it about? What made you decide to write about him? Can you share a little snippet? I wanna know all about it!

So, the Zach fic... you know how I just got the Brothers&Sisters dvd set from my library back in March, literally the day before everything was shut down? And then I got to keep it for like two months because everything was shut down? Well I watched those two episodes a couple of times and fell a little bit in love and something in the back of my mind began churning then.
but then I got sidetracked and then my brain wanted me to obsess over Like Gloss first, but now, recently, those dormant Zach thots have reared their head again and I’ve sharpened my concept a bit
it is thus:
post-canon of the series, when he SPOILER works as a manager for that apartment building, so I was thinking, she is one of the tenants, and something in her apartment breaks so of course she has to call the super to get it fixed ;) it’s gonna be a reader insert, because I want to flex those writing muscles again (and because this website turns up its nose at OCs lol), But she’s gonna be from abroad, and English isn’t her first language, because I’m not and I’m not I say so and I want it that way (and maybe I want to poke fun at a few dumb American things and a few stupid things about this great but sometimes infuriating language from an outside perspective). I’m thinking a series of connected oneshots, each time something breaks in the apartment correspeonds with a step in their relationship. Obviously we have to start with the meeting ;-), so here’s a snippet from instalment one, ‘Shower’
“Hello?” a groggy voice answered on the fifth or sixth ring, and the huskiness of it makes your mind blank for a hot second.
“Hello??” it comes again, sounding more annoyed this time. It snaps you out of your reverie and reminds you that you are currently soaking wet and probably going to be late. On your first day at work.
“Umm yes sorry, this is apartment 4B. My, umm…” you wrack your brain for the words in the foreign language a moment, before deciding that there’s really no elegant way to say it. “My shower has kind of…exploded? I can’t get it to stop.”
Help me please, you add mentally.
A groan and the creaking of mattress springs, then “I’m on my way.”
I welcome suggestions about things that can break in your apartment and things about the US of A that are strange ;-)

jae!! i don't even stan the boyz, let alone read their fics but since you wrote it, i read it haha. also i always found sunwoo cute bc my friend likes the boyz and she biases him, but anyways, i'm telling you, i'm so glad i read this!! i've actually been meaning to read this for a while now too, just more of your fics in general but exams *cries*, but i need a break, so here i am since i ran out of jaemin fics to read. also!! when are you going to write a full fic for jaemin ahhh, i'm just gonna read for the other groups since i read through the nct masterlist already haha. also it’s been a while since I’ve been so engrossed in a fic omg... it’s so good jae!! i love how sunwoo mentioned to pay for the food and the reader was sold. also i noticed a theme, and i see you have a thing for melon and banana popsicles (me too tho) hehe. and omg when sunwoo offers to take the reader home instead of being on the ‘date’ with the girl he likes ahhhh *screams* the foreshadowing!! i loved how you can feel the feelings slowly develop from both parties (but they just don't quite realize it yet) and then the reader meets his mom aww, he really is so soft. and then when he realizes on the date, that you were the one he couldn't stop thinking about, i canttt, this was so good. i kinda resent the girl too for leading him on but ughhh what can i do... also! the pace at this story progressed was perfect and you write so elegantly!! the way you write is just my taste for fics in a way (fluffy but you feel the heartache at times; minimal angst that gets resolved at the end) ahh, but seriously i loved it so much!! i actually stayed up late to read this bc i had to know what happened in the end so i was too tired to leave a review then but i'm leaving it now hehe. i loved it a lot ahh, i don't even read any fics besides nct but since you're the author, i'm finding myself reading svt and the boyz fics haha. also i'm still curious... you had me thinking the reader's ex dated sunwoo's sister lol. i need to know, so you better respond to this, i need to know to sleep tonight grrr!! but anyways it's been a day and i'm still thinking about sunwoo haha (also about ceo wonwoo, if we're being honest here haha) until then, i'll be waiting for a jaemin full fic from you, this is a disgrace. Is that so bad, that I want Casca to take break from boy’s, to restore her agency, and find out who is she, what she want, and what she can do on her own¿
Hello and thanks for the ask! Sorry for the late reply, I get a lot of asks sometimes and writer’s block doesn’t really help either!
Lol I think that’s exactly gonna happen. However, finding out who she is and what she wants, including finding her place in the world, she eventually will wonder what happened to her family while she was “out”: namely her son (demon infant/moonlight boy), Guts and the Hawks as well. Working out entire clusterfuck with Femto possessing their son’s body cannot be resolved without Guts and without her companions either (I can already tell you that some will view it as “dependence” to Guts even if it’s not necessarily one). In the future Casca will have to rely on others, just as much as Guts has relied on them so far. I also expect that their past (tower of conviction, their winter journey, assault included) will be discussed by both of them together with their companions. Unless Miura does not allow them to, to create additional tragedy. I feel like before they can talk everything out, will be attacked again and again, not leaving much time for conversation.
Another thing that I’d like to point out: Currently, Guts has called Farnese his shield. If we remain in this kind of metaphor, it’s possibly not too far off that Casca may gain the role of his sword instead, especially if Guts loses his humanity or mobility even more as the story continues, becoming like tortured Griffith from the Golden Age.
I feel like… Casca somewhere already knows the danger Guts is in. I mean, after all, in chapter 355 she senses his peculiar aura and when she screamed seeing him on close-up, she is reminded of tortured Griffith.
Later, in episode 359 she also senses a peculiar aura around him, surrounded by water or deep sea creatures - THOSE ARE NOT APOSTLES FROM THE ECLIPSE! I’ve checked, Casca has NOT seen those creatures during the eclipse, so it cannot be a reference to the eclipse itself. It is possible that Casca’s special ability is to sense the aura of people. It would makes sense for her to be extraordinarily intuitive now that she has a brand, and that she may sense Od of the berserker armor, too. Like, I mean she already sensed that Neo-Griffith is actually her son when they met at the hill of swords!
Which, you know, would make a lot of sense still, because ocean/sea metaphors in berserk are used to express losing your humanity a couple of times: such as Griffith during Eclipse…
….and the beach at Vritannis.
The fact that Casca senses that something is wrong with Guts (using the Berserker Armor) could be foreshadowing for Guts losing his humanity while Casca becomes the fighting power or drive of the group. Oof I got sidetracked with this answer a lil lmao

im looking at my script and it’s allll over the place by now lol, even got sidetracked while i was answering these ;; im gonna try keep to 25+ pages
or so for each chapter in general, as it’s roughly been till now, but im having a hard time finding a good place to transit to the next one for this. it might go on to 30+ pages, which means an extra long chapter and hence i wouldn’t actually have as many chapters in total in the end as i expected.
... now im slightly curious why someone would want to know >w>?

what ive seen about the mlm-only spaces on tumblr are more of posts that speak very generally about love or tenderness that say "women dni", and i think that can come across as women shouldnt be allowed to share these ideas on love and tenderness?? (those are just a couple of ideas ive seen a lot, not saying thats what all the posts are about) idk, im a wlw and theres definitely wlw-only spaces on tumblr, i totally see what you mean though and im open to hearing what you think
Hey sorry if this is really late, I made that post before going to bed and then slept in lol, anyway
I totally get how seeing a generic-looking post about love and then it having “women dni” at the end seems really jarring. I can only assume in these cases that it’s a case of every post on the blog being tagged as that, and certain (probably more generic) posts gaining more traction and ending up on dashboards outside of the mlm sphere. Honestly I don’t have an exact answer to whether this is “good” or “bad” so I’m probably just going to say that if it’s from an mlm blog the post is specifically about love and tenderness between men. Whether it would be better / less controversial for the text of the post to specify this... 🤷♂️ probably?
But often mlm-only blogs kinda exist for the purpose of being a collection of posts/sentiments within a closed space (either the OP blog page or generally just within mlm blogs) rather than for being shared across dashboards, if that makes sense. So having a periodic reminder that the blog/space you are scrolling is designed for men if you were browsing it can be helpful. Again, when posts do end up “leaking out” into general tungle that’s when the “women dni” thing starts looking weird.
My main gripe really was more to do with things that are OBVIOUSLY mlm content being shared by fetishists (approx. 90% of this site in 2014 lol) and also some related drama going on about “nblm dni” - if you want to know, my opinion is that since nonbinary people aren’t men, they have no reason to be in a men-only space.
What you said about there being wlw only spaces, I don’t want to draw a direct comparison because obviously our communities experience objectification in different ways, moulded by misogyny/patriarchy/etc. But a man taking wlw-specific posts and claiming they are relatable to him as a “mlw” (I’ve just made that acronym up - is it a thing?) would be incredibly dodge and gross and uncomfortable, and it would be the same for a woman taking posts about loving men (obvi I am assuming that is specified in the post in this example) from an mlm blog and making it about her would be the same.
Men don’t love men in the same way women love men - our expected behaviour and gender roles have an inpact on the way we experience our sexuality (and our sexuality is a direct rejection of gender roles, but that’s a whole other post in itself) - so many sentiments around being a man who loves men will not be relatable to eg. straight women. As I understand it the reverse applies in a similar way to women who love women.
This got very sidetracked and long but to answer your point, expressing love & tenderness in the context of being a man who is into other men, against the backdrop of patriarchy and toxic masculinity and male gender roles, is super important and IS different than disussing love & tenderness in general, and taking a post about men being tender towards other men and reshaping it or assuming it applies to everyone reduces the importance of the post.
