INTRODUCTION
Hello, my name is Kori but you can call me lovesick. I am a 21 y/o creative writing minor in university who wants to be a video game script writer for a living (my major is computer science). Here, I will write fanfics for all you lovesick individuals who love yanderes just as much as I do.
My Masterlist
Tumblr media
RULES
Rule #1
No Minors
I will NOT tolerate minors on this page as it has disturbing content. If I see a minor follow me, they will be blocked as soon as I find out.
Rule #2
Follow my DNI
DNI if you are:
Racist
Sexist
Transphobic
Pro-Life
Homophobic
Misogynistic
Ableist
a TERF
Under 18 y/o
Bigoted
Confederate
Neo-Nazi
Rule #3
Respect my Boundaries
I will not write certain kinks and scenarios since some of them are triggering or just flat out weird (not sorry for kinkshaming here) to me and many others.
These include:
Necrophilia/Snuff
Non-Con/Dub-Con
Scat/Piss
Feet
Vore
Incest
Somniphilia
Lolicon/Shotacon
Raceplay
Zoophilia
Sex Slavery/Forced Prostitution
I hope it makes sense why I said these. I will also not do scenarios containing the following:
Teacher X Student
Minor x Adult
Romanticizing mental illness (if you do this gtfo of here)
Rule #4
No NSFW requests of characters under 18 years old
I will not write smut of a 16 year old. That is out of my comfort zone. No aging 'em up either. I will write romantic yandere fan fictions of them if they are 16-17 but nothing sexualizing them. Rule #5
No proshipping (adult x minor, incest, etc)
I don't care if proshipping is your coping mechanism. It's a shitty coping mechanism if you even call it that. Get a healthier coping mechanism like yoga or smth. Rule #6
No trying to guilt trip me into doing your request
I will not take your request if you blatantly try to make me feel bad by saying like "no one does my prompts or requests ;-;". I grew up with a narc mother with a victim complex, your bullshit won't work on me and your request will be deleted and you will be blocked if you try again.
Rule #7
I write what I want to write. If I want to write my own idea, I will. If I see a request I like, I’ll write that. It’s when my creativity hits.

About me
Hi! Call me Pansy, or Bo.
I don't know what this blog will be yet, so it'll be a lot of reblogs for the time being. I'd like to make some friends here, though.
Content warning: brain damage, drug use, trauma, sex and rape mention, mental illness, er... politics? Also the DNI section includes a lot of difficult topics, I need to mention stuff to be sure to ward away assholes, sorry.
I'm mlm and polyamorous.
I'm a very gender little goblin man, I'm a drag artist with a couple shows under my belt. Said shows are very rare at the moment, so the drag I do the most is just dressing up lol. I'm really considering making a drag society/club in my local town- I'm Welsh, and re-learning the language since I went to live in England for a few years and completely forgot how to speak it.
My pronouns are he/him or xey/xem.
I have a degree in fine art, but got some brain damage (oops) which means my art production really slowed to a halt for the past few years. I still occasionally draw, paint and make jewellery though. At the moment, I'm too disabled to have any kind of job but I hope over time those issues will get better and I'll be able to support myself on my art again.
I have ADHDtism, here are some special interests and hyperfixations, some of which are active, some have passed and just left a lasting impact on my psyche:
goth music
nutrition, digestion, and diet culture (which is a scam btw)
art and art history
human anatomy
aquatic life, especially aquatic snails
religions, particularly shingon
sexual paraphilias, the more niche the better (that one lasted a decade) and I won't be posting about it here because honestly wtf is my brain
I write. So far this post has been a truly terrible showcase of my writing skills, because my brain is very blob-of-goo-sloshing-in-a-bone-fishbowl right now, but I used to produce mass amounts of poetry and I still write occasionally. Maybe I'll even post some of it from time to time, who knows!
I'm ok with some nsfw stuff, but I won't be reblogging or posting porn, and I don't want any of that on my dash please. PLEASE DON'T PUT PORN ON MY DASH.
I'm very mentally ill, but I'm reticent about it because I'm still feeling out the culture here. For now let's just say I have a lot of trauma in my past and sometimes my brain says "fuck you, lmao" and takes all my memories out of their filing cabinets and lights them on fire.
I'm also a drug addict, which exacerbates the amnesia, and a former alcoholic still wrestling with the bottle.
My politics: I'm very left leaning and very aware of societal issues. I'm somewhere in the arena of socialism and communism, and I've read enough theory to know I don't know how to correctly pick a precise label for my politics in that area. Initially while writing this post, the political section was super long and then I realized that this is not the point of this blog, so fuck that. You get the idea. I give a shit.
DNI:
porn blogs
SWERFs
transphobes, "gender critical" people, transmeds
aphobic people: if you think ace people are not discriminated against, you are included here, so DNI.
racists, nazis, islamaphobes, antisemites: for example if you think white people/culture are under attack, you are included in this section, so DNI.
discourse-havers: I mean the people who will bring the discourse to my dash. I mean a sensitive topic discussion which devolves into a screaming wall of reductive rhetoric and contrived logic where everyone who disagrees in any way is a bad person and people just start attacking each other for having the wrong opinion instead of having actual conversations about the subject at hand. I was on twitter for years, and I learned early on that The Discourse was never something to engage in, and I'm aware that it happens here too. Keep it off my dash. Thanx.
Pedos, MAPs, lolicons and their supporters.
ableists, anti-self-dx people. Do you think you can tell when people "aren't really" disabled, or that there are a hoards of people out there claiming to be disabled for the money? if so, DNI.
if your blog has a lot of self harm, gore or rape content
people who think doxxing is generally okay. I don't think it's okay in most situations
classists: Do you think poor people deserve to be poor, that they have done something to "deserve" poverty, that they should just spend their money better and stop being poor? do you never give money to homeless people because they'll "spend it all on drugs"? if yes to any of these, DNI.
Do you think people with eating disorders should just "eat a sandwich?" if yes, DNI. EDs are complex, I won't want to interact with people who belittle ED havers.
can't currently think of anything else to add here but yeah i think you get the idea.
See ya,
xxx

“Just the flu”
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Dave says screw your mask and screw your vaccine, he’s not afraid of some glorified flu with a 99.8% survival rate.
Dave doesn’t understand statistics but dammit he’s gonna bet his life on them. He’s also ableist, transphobic and racist but really pissed off whenever anyone calls him on it.
Did I say “is”? Whoops, I meant “was”. Bye Dave!
[ID: Facebook posts by Dave Hicks: Jan 5: “Covid-19 has turned fear into a virtue. Those who are afraid believe they are morally superior to those who are not afraid. They worship fear, beg for lockdowns, get in the Face of those who do not wear a mask, and look for ways to multiply their fear because fear is a virtue. If you’re terrified of a virus with a 99.8% recovery rate, then stay home. Don’t venture out into public places and demand that others embrace your level of anxiety.” Mar 3: Illustrarion of The Cat in The Hat. “I will not wear it on my face. I will not wear it anyplace. I will not wear it to get in. I will not wear it on my chin. I will not wear it on my ear. I will not wear it out of fear. I will not wear your stupid mask. I will not wear it. DO NOT ASK.” Mar 12: “Clocks go back this week. I’m setting mine to 1775 when this country had some balls, and chicks didn’t.” Apr 17: Photos of Rev. Al Sharpton and Rev. Jessie Jackson captioned “Calling these two guys ‘Reverend’ is like calling dogshit tootsie rolls. Dave comments “I’m sorry I could not help myself. I’m going to get in trouble for this one, pretty darn sure. Oh well.” Sep 10: “At this point I really do not care who this pisses off, But fuck you biden and your nazi ways to force people to be vaccinated. You do not know that it is safe. Anyone else out there that is on his side with this idiot in chief, please unfriend me as I want nothing to do with you or your weak minded bullshit.” Sep 27: “I have the Covid I guess part 2. Not that bad. Already feeling better on day 3. Felt just like bad case of the flu.” Oct 13: “This is Sarah: Sadly, we regret to tell Dave’s Facebook family that Dave passed away. As most of you know, Dave battled COVID for a number of weeks. Though he fought courageously, he passed away from the virus last night at 9:30 pm.”]

To be honest, it’s so fucking weird when people complain about what “really ruins fandom” and they mention things like the shipping or fanart or people doing cosplay to make a musical video in a silly app? Are you fucking serious? People are sending suicide baiting, using Rick for nazi propaganda, for transphobic/aphobic/racist/ableist rethoric, edgy jokes that just exist to be edgy. There is harrassment, bulliyng, dogpiling, name calling, fake calls outs, death wishes inside the fandom but people HAVING HARMLESS FUN inside the fandom is the thing that is ruining it for you? People doing what ALWAYS is done in fandom is the last draw? People mention the McDonald thing, but they always have to add the shipping and cosplay somewhere as if those have the exact same kind of relevance. I am sorry, but what kind of fucked up priorities are those?

There’s a concerning trend I’ve noticed in discourse - from people on all sides of ‘The Discourse’ - and that’s the use of phrases like “y’all”; “you lot”; “all you” etc. Phrases that firmly put people who disagree with you on the Other side and that make all people on the Other side completely responsible for the thoughts, beliefs, feelings or actions of a single person. It’s one thing to do this when the Issue being discussed is about a specific belief. For example, to say that all white nationalists believe in the preservation of the ‘white race’ above of and even at the cost of all other races and peoples is fair. That is exactly what it means to be a white nationalist. To say that all TERFs believe that trans women are men invading the safe spaces of women is completely accurate. To say all white nationalists are racist is also fair - though I suppose evidence would suggest that white nationalists disagree with that statement but honestly I can only offer them the most minuscule amount of ‘fairness’ because honestly fuck those neo-nazi racist, bigoted fucks. Sorry, I’ve gotten sidetracked.
Making broad sweeping generalizations about the Others based on your limited interaction with some Others is where things get messy. These kinds of behaviours and thoughts and arguments work to not only Other entire groups of people but also dehumanize them. Again. This is regardless of whatever so called ‘side’ someone is on. It makes it easy to dismiss anyone who disagrees with you on any point because even if they make a compelling and well sourced argument they are just like all the others. In many ways this also allows people with ethically and morally repugnant beliefs to more easily hide in groups and disseminate their beliefs in coded language to those on their ‘side’. When an Other calls out their behaviour they are clearly wrong because they are Other and the Others are like This. They are Other and it’s acceptable for your person to behave this way because they are doing it to the Others and the Others are Bad.
Perhaps this trend is because so many of the bloggers involved in this newest round of discourse are quite young, and young people tend to think in black and white and hold all their opinions very tightly and share them passionately. That’s part of growing up and learning yourself and your beliefs and how you engage with the world around you. But when you add that to the freedom that the anonymity of the internet opens up some truly awful things can be said and done in the name of Being Right. I get it, it’s exhausting - especially when largely this argument takes place between many overlapping, intersecting and different marginalized groups - to give each person the benefit of being an individual and having their words and actions speak only for themselves.
I guess it’s especially difficult to people who believe that the core belief on the other side of the discourse is a personal attack on themselves. At it’s core, the ace/aro discourse is made up of two ‘sides’. Exclusionists believe that asexual and aromantic people are not inherently, by their orientation, LGBT+ and therefor do not have a right to be included in the LGBT+ spaces. Inclusionists believe that asexual and aromantic people are inherently,  by their orientation, LGBT+ and therefor do have a right to be included in the LGBT+ spaces. That is it.
That.
Is.
It.
Yes, there are a million additions and addendums and offshoots and all sorts of other things tacked on to that. There are abusers and homophobes and transphobes and racists and ableists and basically any sort of bigot or asshole that can exist in the world hiding within those camps.
Though I guess all of this is pointless because there are people who will say that if you’re asexual or aromantic that you are inherently [insert bigotry of choice here]. Or there will be people who will say if you believe X side then you also believe Y&Z because you cannot believe X without also believe Y&Z and really it’s just. Gonna go round in circles. There will surely even be people who say that me saying all this is proof of me believing XYZ.
TLDR; for those involved in any aspect of discourse it doesn’t hurt to remember sometimes that the people you’re arguing with are in fact real human beings and wholly unique individuals and not an amalgamated faceless mob of hateful monsters. Just. People.
edit: Obviously sometimes believing X does also mean believing Y&Z. To use the example of TERFs again, the core belief that trans women are men invading the safe spaces of women inherently comes with the subtextual belief that trans women are not women and are in fact men with male privilege. So obviously knowing an individual believes one thing means they believe another. Inarguably. However often people associate one belief with another when the two are not mutually inclusive. Regardless of how passionately those people believe their association is correct does not necessarily mean it is. It’s messy and requires a fuck ton of spoons to be able to make that distinction. Also obviously, the actions and words of one person who believes one thing does not make those actions or words acceptable to other people who also believe that one thing or mean that the other people who also believe that one thing have done/said or will do/say or condone what another person who believes that thing has done/said/believe.
Double edit: I have done this! I have fallen into the trap of this particular cognitive bias. It’s a sweet temptation and easy and comfortable way of thinking but that doesn’t mean we shouldn’t challenge it.

the lesbophobia thing
Lesbophobia is real. It's the prejudice, bigotry, and oppression that exists at the intersection of homophobia and misogyny. Let me say it again: Lesbophobia is real. Hate for lesbians is real.
However, it is essential to acknowledge and understand that the term lesbophobia has been co-opted by a loud and growing contingent of LGBTQ women in communities that share troubling ties and ideology with factions that exist inside the alt-right movement — worse, the dangerous dogma that's attaching itself to word the lesbophobia has found a new home at AfterEllen.
I first encountered the word lesbophobia in response to the post I wrote called Queer Women Take Over The 2016 Emmys. Her Story got a revolutionary nod for Outstanding Short Form. Kate McKinnon took home a trophy for Saturday Night Live. Sarah Paulson won for The People vs. O.J. Simpson. And Jill Soloway scored another victory for Transparent. On social media there was a small outcry that I hadn't chosen the headline "Lesbians Take Over the 2016 Emmys," despite the fact that Kate McKinnon was the only winner who explicitly identifies as a lesbian. (In fact, Sarah Paulson is on record saying, "I refuse to give any kind of label just to satisfy what people need.") The reasons the handful of dissenters gave for my decision to call the Emmys queer was that I am a lesbophobe, an espouser and executor of lesbophobia.
To be very honest with you, I shrugged it off. The most unwinnable battle we have at Autostraddle is labeling LGBTQ people in a way that satisfies everyone. It's such a constant struggle, we laid out an explanation about labels in our official comment policy. Recently on a Pop Culture Fix, I wrote about the new queer characters coming to The Good Wife spin-off. One of them will be a lesbian, according to the show's writers; the other's sexuality has not been labeled. So, I said, "The Good Wife spin-off will prominently feature two lesbian, bisexual, gay, homosexual, or otherwise queer-identified women." Just to cover all my bases because it was almost Christmas and I was tired and I didn't want to have to argue about labels. And yet, the cries of lesbophobia came in again. I got a couple of emails, a dozen or so tweets. Essentially: "Lesbian is not a dirty word! Saying queer is lesbophobic!"
So, on December 26, I tweeted something I think is a true, fair, and accurate analogy:
Yelling "lesbophobia!" when someone says "queer" is like yelling "war on Christmas!" when someone says "happy holidays." Come on, y'all.
A couple of days later, AfterEllen's official Twitter tweeted at me and said: "@theheatherhogan oh, agreed. It's like yelling "biphobia!" and "transphobia!" when someone says lesbian."
To which beloved Autostraddle cartoonist Dickens replied:
"AfterEllen is three weeks shy of transforming their website into an online support group for victims of wyt lesbian genocide. This is honestly the most ridiculously entitled white lesbian coated petrified bullshit I have seen in a long time. And if you don't think white supremacy has reached out its dirty little fingers and touched a few groups of marginalized white folks, well. Keep an eye on their feed here and there. Keep an eye on their former writers. They aren't just trying to Make Lesbianism Great Again… They are asserting their strength. They are erasing the visibility of the defectors. They are sliding their salty little asses into spaces and feeds where they must know they are clearly not wanted or cared for. I was never a fan of AE but this new image they're building for themselves is a little too Nazi-adjacent for my galaxy Blaaaack aaaass."
Dickens was, of course, correct. And her point was proven once again the very next day when an article blasted out to the 125,000 followers of AfterEllen's official, verified Twitter account cried: “Lesbian Spaces Are Still Needed, No Matter What the Queer Movement Says". It suggests that trans women and bisexual women's desire to be included in queer women's spaces is to blame for the decline of lesbian-specific spaces, which lesbians need to stay safe from trans and bisexual women.
That kind of rallying cry feels very much like the "Save Our White Neighborhoods" rallying cry of the alt-right, so I went on a deeper dive to try to find the origins of what I called "the lesbophobia movement" on Twitter. And what I found was more horrifying than I ever imagined.
A few weeks ago AfterEllen — which everyone presumed dead after the company that owns it effectively fired everyone, including longtime editor in chief Trish Bendix — announced it had acquired a new editor named Memoree Joelle. In October, Joelle, tweeted a Change.org petition that she'd signed called Take the L Out of LGBT. The petition is a direct response to a previously failed petition that called for GLAAD, the Human Rights Campaign, HuffPo Voices, The Advocate, etc. to Drop The T from LGBT. The most popular supporter of the petition is a guy you might know called Milo Yiannopoulos. He signed it, tweeted about it, and dedicated 3,000 words to it in a post on Breitbart. Thanks to Milo's urging, Matthew Hopkins, one of the main perpetrators of Gamergate, wrote a post called "Why #GamerGate Should Help the ‘Drop the T’ Campaign" on his personal blog. Hopkins called it "one of the most politically important campaigns of our generation."
In addition to signing and tweeting about the petition, Joelle commented her approval. When former AfterEllen writer Elaine Atwell brought Joelle's support of the petition to light, Joelle's comments disappeared from the petition, and so did Elaine's byline from the hundreds of articles she wrote over the last five years at AfterEllen.
The comments on the Change.org petition mention lesbophobia multiple times and equate it with trans activism, as do the subreddits that discussed Joelle's contribution to the petition. "Part of lesbophobia is hating us for our same-sex attraction, but another very big part of it is hating us for our rejection of men," one user wrote on /r/GenderCritical/. (Trans women are almost always referred to as men on this particular subreddit.) Another Redditor on /r/actuallesbians decried the "male entitlement and lesbophobia" of protesting the petition. "The moment we talk about your rape culture or your male violence we're 'transphobic' or 'biphobic.'" (The men in this comment are actually trans women and "rape culture" refers to the constantly espoused idea in TERF communities that trans women are male predators.) The lesbophobia tag on the blog GenderTrender is a deeply disturbing trip down an anti-trans rabbit hole. The lesbophobia tag on the website 4th Wave Now is horrifying; it equates allowing trans kids/teens to come out and live openly as their true gender with child abuse, ideas that are — again — shared with Breitbart and Milo Yiannopoulos. Reddit and Tumblr are absolutely flush with lesbians using the word "lesbophobia" to back up the ideas presented in these "Drop the T"/"The L Is Leaving" petitions.
These spaces that use the word "lesbophobia" to attack trans and bi women or people who use the word queer share more than than an ideology with Breitbart. You'll find them saying things like "trans women want to colonize the lesbian community." You'll find them using the phrase "SJW" (meaning Social Justice Warrior), a pejorative term coined by the Men's Rights Activist movement. And you'll find a lot of talk about how the correct "biology" is the thing that allows people access to the protections of the majority. And lots and lots and lots and lots of just truly sickening propaganda leveled at trans and bi women. It's very much about creating an in-group and scapegoating an out-group through tried and true tactics that have been — I'm sorry — utilized by Fox News and the alt-right for years.
I wrote about these things on Twitter, and you can read Dickens further unpacking them here and here. (You should read that last thread before you jump in here and call her "my black friend.")
Look, we didn't just wake up one day with an openly racist, openly sexist, openly xenophobic, openly ableist, openly anti-semitic president in the White House, appointing the leader of the most dangerous white supremacist website in history to his top advisor position. We watched blatant and unabashed white supremacist language and ideas slowly take over the movement from the inside. We watched the most powerful scapegoat the most vulnerable. We watched Fox News make heroes out of the white men who murdered unarmed black children and terrify people with their whole War on Christmas bullshit and equate all Muslims with terrorists. A Nazi didn't walk into the West Wing and have a seat; the slow creep of white supremacy laid the path for him.
Vox did a fascinating interview with former conservative talk show host Charlie Sykes earlier this year. He quit over Trump. But the whole interview is him agonizing about how, to him, the GOP had always been about fiscal conservatism and states rights and he believed in that ideological purity so deeply that he fooled himself into believing that's what the GOP was about to everybody, despite the fact that he saw the white supremacy and fascism slowly gaining power and momentum until it took over.
To realize, first of all, that you’re part of a movement that was not the movement you thought it was, that you’re aligned with people that you didn’t really understand you’re aligned with, and to realize that everything that you thought about the conservative intellectual infrastructure was really piecrust thin. You thought you had this big principled movement and then suddenly along comes Donald Trump and you realize that it was just was just the pastry on top. So I think disorienting is a great term. Disillusioning is not too strong either.
To me, what we're talking about with lesbophobia is a similar thing. Is lesbophobia a term some lesbians have rallied around to protest the prejudice and bigotry that exist at the intersection of homophobia and misogyny? Yes, of course. Absolutely. HOWEVER. I had to go searching for people using the word lesbophobia like that because my entire experience with the way the word kept popping up in my timeline and in my comments and in the comments sections of other websites was to decry the use of the word queer and to espouse anti-trans and anti-bi ideology. And that includes every single person who landed in my mentions on Twitter when I started talking about this. I did not click on a single profile without finding anti-trans, anti-bi language; or ask a single person if they believe trans women are women and have them say yes.
If you are a woman who is using the word lesbophobia to NOT do those things, and you're more angry at me for pointing out that it's happening than you are at anti-trans/anti-bi people who have hijacked its meaning, I ... I truly don't understand. What's happening at AfterEllen is terrifying me. Maybe the website is technically dead, but it still has clout and power and it's using it to push some really dangerous ideas about lesbian exclusivity, and those ideas are shared by a very loud group of people who use the word "lesbophobia" on their blogs, social media, Reddit, etc. to vilify the people (like me) who stand against them.
I don't want to cause anyone pain. I don't want to make anyone feel unsafe or unloved or unaccepted. I DO NOT BELIEVE LESBIANS ARE NAZIS. I AM A LESBIAN. If you truly think that's what I was saying when I unpacked these ideas on Twitter, I'm sorry. It was not my intention.
I do think, however, that it's imperative for you to open your eyes to how the word lesbophobia is being used to persecute and oppress trans and bi women in very vocal and influential spaces that have direct ties in ideology and language with the alt-right.

Unpopular opinion: Most callout posts nowadays are just people finding a reason to whine about things without doing research on what the topic is about.
strongly agree | agree | neutral | disagree | strongly disagree
So you’re right! You’re absolutely right. I’ve gone through twenty call out posts, and they’re... nit picky. I can’t trust shit in them and half the time it’s wrong.
It’s not a tool of protection but rather dog piling and honestly it’s scary how well it works.
I saw one about shipping the other month, and while I don’t care much for what ships are what, I found myself gag at the end.
At the end of it, on a small sidenote which wasn’t even MENTIONED they talked about the person being abusive.
I was horrified and had to go down a rabbit hole because that was important.
Like half the things people spend hours on don’t even matter half the time. Like really, they don’t mention it. I’ve seen someone say, “saying queer” is a horrible offence.
Being pansexual is biphobic.
Being ace/aro is homophobic.
Nonbinary folks are transphobic.
Being trans is misogynistic.
At this point I see a form of oppression or bigotry thrown around and I spend five hours on the one topic to make sure if it’s okay.
Fuck I saw someone calling POCD pedophilia just the other day, and as someone who knows how distressing it can be to deal with intrusive thoughts, and having my psychology knowledge, I was horrified.
People will really go out, use what should be informative words, as buzzwords, and sling around misinformation as a way to condemn people they dislike.
I mean in full disclosure, without ASKING first, someone said I was a MAP/MAP supporter by having one follow me. On which I, a CSA survivor, who never interacted with anything with it and didn’t even involve myself, was put onto a blocklist. Someone who was a mutual at the time informed me of it, and I had to go in and see.
I didn’t even know, there was no verification, the person just followed me. I never got taken off of it. I spoke to them about it, and even told them how distressing it was, and they hardly addressed it.
I’ve seen callouts about someone pointing out there was a rapist in a community, for stalking.
I’ve seen a callout accusing someone of stalking, for them using stat tracker on their blog to tell their stalker to fuck off.
I’ve seen people be called transphobic, for SUPPORTING NON-DYSPHORICS AND NONBINARY PEOPLE.
I’ve been told outright, I’m ableist, for calling myself autigender, because my autism messes with my gender perception. And also accused of saying every autistic person is autigender, and that I’m saying my gender is autism gender. I didn’t realize your gender was cis or trans either.
So anon, I agree, to an extent.
I’ve seen callouts mentioning people who literally support Nazi rhetoric. I’ve seen people condemned for racism and it proven with no change in pace. I’ve seen people condemn child predators, rapists and abusers. On another blog I’ve called out exploitive and abusive tactics in a community I’m in.
I can agree most callouts are shit. I can say I haven’t seen one prioritize abusive/predatory behaviour in a while that I haven’t made or wasn’t made in a specific community, but I can’t strongly agree. Because it erases the issues at hand.
On one hand, fuck callout culture, on the other, I enjoy being warned of Nazis, racists, predators and unsavoury folk in that category.
Part of the issue with callout posts are, accepting with a lack of information.
People lie on the net, and the issue with accepting callout posts is, not knowing when the post is wrong, or not reading past the beginning and accepting it without evidence.
Note, some callouts are made to disenfranchise those who are marginalized, because it’s easy to paint them in a bad light.
I think it should be mandatory for everyone to learn how to spot cherry picking, obscuring information, and false information on a callout post.
If you’re not researching topics in the post, and verifying information, you’re part of the problem.
Also then there comes in, fake callouts. Callouts made for fun, or made as a joke, taken seriously.
Half of these callouts are reblogged by folks who go and say, “critical consumption” and “critical reading skills” whilst I’m watching them blur what a predator is or a pedophile.
A 30 y/o pursuing a 22 y/o can be extremely creepy, but I’m sorry, that’s not pedophilia, and saying it is, a) infantizes the 22 y/o, b) waters down the definition of pedophilia.
I’ve seen 18 y/o’s get called pedos for dating 17 y/o’s in callouts, or heaven forbid they’re a year n a half older and date a 16 y/o. All three of which can graduate and go to college depending on life circumstances.
I’ve seen a 20 y/o still be in high school because they failed so much, he was in my class.
I’ve seen a 26 y/o paint a 16 y/o as a pedophile for having a crush on a fictional... 16 y/o.
I’ve seen ppl condemn 16 y/o’s for making sex jokes, acting like it’s unhealthy of them, and then paint an adult as predatory for making a sex joke, on... their social media, “because of course minors follow them”.
Which is stupid. I don’t even have a lot of followers... I don’t know any ages. I don’t know their stances except shinigami eyes doesn’t label them as red.
And I block porn bots on sight.
I don’t know how a blog with over 20,000 followers or more is supposed to keep track, but apparently.
Necrophiles are okay so long as they don’t support a “homophobic relationship” which is a gay twink being submissive in a relationship with a Dom hunk. Because that’s not realistic.
HC’ing Asians/Autistic people as Asexual is dehumanizing, the callout post screams as ace Asian and ace autistic folks.
So all in all, I can agree, and disagree. Most callouts I see are bullshit. But I don’t know about most callouts. It’s not defineable because I can’t look at every callout made these days I don’t know where to look. But they were once capable of harm reduction and someone thought to weaponize them. But that happened during a lot of old rules added to websites. Road to hell... yadda yadda.
I’m sorry for the word vomit, I’m not great at articulation, I’m like dead tired and decided to answer this.
MAP discourse, Discourse about shipping, discourse about pedophiles ain’t tolerated on this post. I’m not engaging, fuck off. I mentioned it as examples, but fuck, they’re triggering to actually get into and I don’t feel like throwing up into the toilet.
Actually discourse can fuck off entirely, discourse is dumb.
