reading book 1/3 of a queer series and i love it. first one is about two girls falling in love during their time in paris. one of them lives there, the other one wants to spend a year in the city. they meet at the train to paris and i mean come on...can't be better!!

Hamburg, 1978. Klio kann ihr Glück kaum fassen, als sie die Zusage für die Stelle als Assistentin bei einem renommierten Fernsehsender bekommt. Endlich kann sie, wie die bekannte Reporterin Anni Winter, über das berichten, was sich gerade in der Welt tut. Doch als Klio ihrem Idol gegenübersteht, ist Anni anders als gedacht: arrogant, kalt, herablassend. Während Nachrichten von Hass und Terror den Sender in Atem halten muss Klio immer enger mit Anni zusammenarbeiten. Und dabei feststellen, dass ihre Vorgesetzte doch ein Herz hat. Gemeinsam überschreiten sie eine Grenze nach der anderen, und Klios Gefühle für Anni werden immer stärker. Doch da ist noch die Familienlegende, die ihr eine verbotene Liebe prophezeit, die kein gutes Ende finden wird. Klio und Anni müssen kämpfen. Für ihre Liebe. Und für eine bessere Zukunft.

Das Cover ist sehr ansprechend und passt perfekt zum Titel und zum ersten Band der Reihe.
Schreibstil
Der Schreibstil ist sehr angenehm, man wird ganz sanft von ihm mitgezogen.
Inhalt/Rezension
Wie schon im ersten Teil spielt die Geschichte in einer aufregenden Zeit. Hier im Jahr 1978, die Autorin erzählt und beschreibt das Leben und die Ereignisse daraus.
Ich mag keine Fantasy Bücher, aber hier finde ich diesen magischen Realismus perfekt eingebaut und es verleiht dem ganzen etwas Spannendes.
Klio kennt man schon als jüngere Schwester aus dem ersten Teil, hier ist sie etwas älter und geht ihren eigenen Weg, der gar nicht so einfach scheint. Ich habe sie sofort in mein Herz geschlossen und mit ihr mitgefühlt.
Besonders schön ist auch die Innengestaltung des ersten Buchs, mit kleinen Symbolen wird jedes Kapitel begonnen.
Fazit
Ein toller Roman, der mich gefesselt und begeistert hat.

yea! i have a bichon named sophie who’s a stubborn lil girl but shes my baby regardless🥰 she’s so small n she looks like a puppy but shes literally 10 (n turning 11 later this yr) also idk if this counts but i live w my cousins and they have a miniature black poodle named elvis (who has long legs for some reason) he’s 12 but he acts like a puppy n is also the sweetest boy you’ll ever meet n will give u lots of cuddles😚
