I’ve made it through one of the

toughest years of my life so far

I went to my limits

and broke them by going further

I was beaten down

but I stood up again

I thought I found the one

but I was only one of many

I loved and I lost

but everything was not enough

I didn’t feel at home in my own house

because I’ve lost the arms and

the laughter I’ve called my home

there were times when I felt better

than I’ve ever felt before

and afterwards I fell on the ground

I‘ve laughed harder than ever

and cried til my eyes burned

I’ve worked hard and I succeeded

and I’ve never been more afraid

at the end of this year

I didn’t feel like I’ve lived

but only that I survived

it was a constant rush

endless ups and downs

a rollercoaster year

but I‘m still here

and I’m going nowhere

cause I will never let anyone or anything

interfere with my own life

I’m a fighter

and in the end I will always make it

and I can be proud of myself
