[English Subs DL] SQS 7 - “ZANSHIN” RED and BLUE Versions

As promised, here is SQS 7 - ZANSHIN~! Thank you to @fujotish for requesting RED version~! It is based off of their AGF concept last year, so it’s more of an alternate universe play like “Machine Elements” and “Tsukihana Kagura”.

It is, like most TsukiPro stages, divided into two versions (RED and BLUE), but it’s not necessary to watch both versions to understand the gist of the play.

There are really only slight differences between both versions, but if I were to say which story is more “complete” (or rather, gives more clues and lore), I’d say watch RED version first. Mostly because Shiki plays a very important role in this play ^^

For those who want to familiarize themselves with Zanshin lore first, here is the masterpost of translations for their pamphlet: ZANSHIN

The Hana Awase festival is the same as the Eurovision festival! Only instead of singing and holding it every year, they dance and hold it every 4 years.

They even have the big 5!

no warnings; just fluff

---

Dating John would feel like the calm after the storm, or like a consistent gentle rainfall that can’t help but ease you, quelling your worries

Dating John is calming like rainfall in the sense that you feel a sense of respite wash over you when you’re with him; being with him is also akin to that of the calming pitter-patter noise you hear when the rain comes; it’s never to harsh, or too loud; always a consistent rhythm

You feel a blanket of security wrapping itself around you tightly, never threatening to let you go when dating him; it’s solid and firm, just like John

You both were a bit shy when you first got together; no surprises there though, John leans more on the quiet side, and you, well, anyone would be a little timid when first dating a Spartan (they were genetically modified humans after all)

But John quickly made sure that you felt completely and utterly safe around him; he knew what he was capable of, and the last thing he wanted to do was ever scare you; and you appreciated that about him

It’s not like you are some scared little girl, afraid of Spartans, but, you know, they were the infamous Spartans you heard about growing up, you weren’t quite sure what to expect when you first met them (surprise, surprise Blue team all turned out to be lovely people)

You appreciated John’s understanding for the time it took for you fully get to know him, and be comfortable around him

In your early stages of dating, you guys mainly kept to public outings, like restaurants, movie theaters (yes Reach has a cinema), parks (you both enjoyed going on long walks together and you tease John about how his ‘normal’ walk is your jog)

You could say that he properly ‘wine and dined’ you, well as much as one can on Reach seeing that its operation is more so military and not just another regular planet

He was a gentleman: he opened doors for you, whether that be building, apartment, or car doors; it didn’t matter, he was there to open them for you; he also would sometimes place his hand at the small of your back, which sent sparks twinkling up your spine the first few times he did that (let’s be honest, you still feel giddy even now)

He was a great listener, always ready with a question (or 10) whenever you were telling him about your day, things that happened at work, the latest book you read. He always had a follow-up, always curious to know more about you, and what you’re thinking

You also were the same in that matter, always asking him questions; who could blame you though, his job was a lot cooler than yours

You were in awe of all the different planets and solar systems he’s been to (including the Halos) and you always picked his brain about the Covenant (you’ve been fortunate enough to not cross paths with the Covenant)

When John wasn’t on a mission, you weren’t at work, or you guys weren’t going on a “formal” date, you and John could be found lounging around one of your apartments, either reading, watching TV, doing puzzles, things like that

Sometimes you guys liked to do your own thing but in the company of the other

However, one of your favorite things to do is to nap with John

He’s so large that he generates a lot of body heat, so whenever winter rolls around and there’s snowflakes in the air, you loved to cuddle up with him on the couch, completely wrapped in his embrace and fall asleep with no worries on your mind (being with John made that easy)

John is the kind of partner who is a great shoulder to cry on; his support is endless for you, and he’s always there whenever you run into a problem; he’s there to listen about what’s troubling your life, but he’s not one to be pushy about how to fix it; no, he’s there for you, and makes sure to comfort you the best he can (which usually is you asking him for a hug, which he immediately complies with)

John gives the best hugs because 1) he is taller than you, so he can easily wrap you up tight and rest his head on yours, and 2) his arms are long and muscular, which makes his hugs 10x warmer and just better overall

Something that you quickly learned about John after a couple months of dating was that he was actually funny (right, like what are the odds a Spartan of his caliber has a funny bone?)

His humor was of course dry and sarcastic, but he got a laugh out of you every time he cracked a joke

Blue team also tells you stories about John (not to his knowledge) since they have known him since they were all pre-teens; sometimes you’ll bring something up to John, and he’ll be like “Where’d you hear that from?” (he wasn’t stupid he knew); and then a couple days later you’ll hear how hard John made training for them (oops)

Nevertheless, dating John has brought a sense of security into your life that you never thought you would feel, or have; you only hope is that you provide the same for him

DRAMA is one of two pre-release singles for VENUS' fourth full studio album. DRAMA will be promoted for TWO WEEKS until the next single is released.

The DRAMA music video received 45 MILLION VIEWS in 24 hours and would remain number one on the Youtube trending page for 6 days. The video follows the girls through a technicolored cyberspace as they fight against a virus only known as "DRAMA" which is depicted as a dark and rapid-moving shadow.

The girls were promoting DRAMA consistently for two weeks. For a solid two weeks, the girls were at music shows or other schedules promoting their upcoming album, which they revealed the name of at the end of their promotional period for DRAMA.

The album is called "VENUS VICTRIX" and will have 11 tracks. The creative direction for the album will be handled by long-time VENUS creative director Adrian Reyes. This differs from their last comeback, Burn The Witch, which was fully controlled by Venus themselves. While on Knowing Brothers, Chloe admits the girls experienced a lot of stress from handling all aspects of the album. "It was too much. We would be up until 5 AM almost every night trying to get everything to work, and we agreed that for this album, we want more rest!" which earned laughs from the hosts and from fans alike.

During an episode of "Visting Venus," they had Adrian come on to explain the lore of the album to them in a classroom-like setting with the girls at desks and him at a chalkboard, pointing with a stick and aggressively writing with a red piece of chalk.

"It's basically, like, Venus' Victory. The girls are trapped in a harsh cyber world but manage to break out and transform the landscape into something habitable," Adrian would explain, drawing a loosely thrown-together professor-esque outfit and round specs. Klara, drawing a school uniform and thick-rimmed classes, would raise her hand. "And how will we break out from this world?" "Easy," Adrian starts, pulling down a projector screen that has three big words on it in comic sans font, "Dance, music, and friendship."

The video was a massive hit with fans and had them on the edge of their seats waiting for the album's release.

Though they gave it their all at every performance, it was clear the girls were tired and being overworked. In most vlogs, you'd often see members sleeping on one another during their breaks at music shows or expressing how sore they were from all the performing they were doing. The Venus members, with the exception of Klara, would assure fans they were fine and liked working especially. Klara, however, would go on to post a singular mirror selfie of herself at 3 AM on her Instagram story with the caption, "just got back. can't wait for my powernap before i have to go back lol" but the story was quickly deleted and followed by a video of the maknae laughing and apologizing.

"That was meant for my close friend. My bad, my bad! Stop worrying. I'm just complaining! I swear to God if y'all mass email Flowerbank I'll have a tantrum. Don't worry about me!"

While this moment went viral on stan Twitter, constellations couldn't help but to worry for the girls. However, their worries were seemingly quelled once they got another stage of DRAMA to entertain them.

The girls wore wigs during their promotions, concealing their actual hair colors. While sometimes the wigs looked natural, especially Sena and Jiah's, there were times when the wigs looked straight from Party City. Due to their status in the industry, people called this style choice "camp" and praised them for it.

It's Not Over (Till The Mockingjay Sings)

Summery: The day Katniss is meant to be reaped to go into the Quarter Quell changes when the fourth and first District 12 victor returns mysteriously. And takes her place. A/N- So. I could write this whole fic out and be neat about posting chapters. Or I could just hold myself accountable by giving you all my first chapter and allowing you all to pester me about. Meaning- YES! Please know there is more of this coming and my goal of posting this first part is to get bugged about finishing it quickly XD. Anyways, this is gonna be so much fun to write I am extreamly excited.

"I volunteer." The voice, older and worn but confident enough to be heard above the crowd.

Katniss is almost convinced she is dreaming. This isn't real; it can't be. She is the only living female victor of District 12 and would be going into the Games again. She'd use it to save Peeta. That was the plan. Since the announcement, it had been her unwavering goal. How could anyone volunteer for her?

The crowd parts, and who comes through makes her shock even worse. An older woman, olive-skinned like her, curly dark loose around her shoulders. All her clothes were solid grey, a simple jumpsuit. The stranger strides to the podium like she is half of the close to 80 years old she must be. The people seem to part for her. Guards and several others begin moving around the stage, and even more official-looking Capitolies rush behind the giant screen behind them. Other guards approach the woman and make her stop in her effort to get onto the stage. Effie, for her part, stammers for a moment.

"I am sorry, ma'am. This Quarter Quell will be between Victors only."

"I am." The woman replies. "I am Lucy Gray Baird. I won the 10th Hunger Games, and I volunteer for this girl."

The men holding her must either be stunned into uselessness or fear no threat from the elderly tribute as she climbs onto the stage with little trouble. The murmuring continues; however, Katniss can do nothing but look around. Peeta's eyes lock with hers, sharing the confusion between them. Most of them knew that District 12 at some point before Haymitch had won a Hunger Games, but no one could really say which or whom it was. The citizens have yet to calm before several people who disappeared behind the stage return. One of them, who looks sickly pale with nerves, comes to whisper something into Effie's ear.

"As it turns out, this is entirely correct. As a victor of District 12, Lucy Gray Baird will be allowed to volunteer for Miss. Katniss Everdeen."

There is a strange silence, almost like people digesting the information simultaneously. Then, an untited applause makes the older woman preen as Effie holds up her hand. Katniss allows the moment to try and breathe normally. Because even as soon as she realizes she won't be going in, the looming reality that Peeta still could be descends like a shadow over her and steals any shred of relief.

And like that, she woke up to an even worse nightmare.

Effie tries to calm everyone when they begin to settle themselves. Once she does, she becomes somber again, looking at the second bowl. She seems to be composed to anyone else, but Katniss can note the shaking in her voice.

"Now, for the boys." She utters and swirls the two pieces of paper in the second bowl around before picking a slip. She can't disguise the pain when she says the name, though. "Haymitch Abernathy."

On her other side, Katniss watches Haymitch take steps to the podium. Every bit of her wordlessly screamed at Peeta, telling him not to open his mouth or say anything. Somehow, she hoped he could hear her and would let Haymitch keep his promise to both of them. They would do anything in their power to save their mentor, but if Peeta goes in, she doesn't know if she could breathe, not with her ability to be in the arena with him taken.

Instead, she watches Peeta grab the arm of Haymitch's shirt. A look goes between them, and in the end, the older man shakes his head and steps toward the podium. Peeta doesn't say anything, and Katniss sucks in air she didn't know she was deprived of.

Effie barely holds it together, raising his hand, and things become even more chaotic after that. As it turns out, there will be no time to allow for goodbyes after the reaping. Just after Lucy takes Haymitch's hand to shake it, everyone on stage, plus her and Peeta, are surrounded by Peacekeepers and directed to the train. Lucy walks first of the pack, as proudly as an elderly woman could. Haymitch is saying something quietly to Effie. It looks like he may even be trying to calm her.

Peeta takes her hand and makes eye contact. "You're trembling, Katniss."

"We're not-"

"It doesn't look like it."

"How?"

"I don't know. But I think we're gonna get answers sooner rather than later." He whispers as they both board the train.

Listening to Steam Powered Giraffe as I am wont to do when I need a break from Ghost and Honeybee came on and now I can’t stop thinking about Dew and his relationship with the previous era.

Dew was alone for the majority of his life in the pit- not for any particularly tragic reasons, at least in his opinion. That’s just how his particular variant of water ghoul works: Young ghoul pups stay with their mothers till they’re old enough to hunt for themselves and eventually they just kind of… swim off on their own, likely never seeing their parent again unless by chance.

All this to say, Dew was never a particularly social person before coming topside. Being surrounded by so many people when he was first summoned was a hell of a culture shock to him, almost immediately putting him in fight or flight.

It helped that, in my mind, Dew wasn’t immediately summoned into the Ghost project and instead spent his first year as your run of the mill nameless ghoul. Being put on kitchen duty allowed him to watch how the human staff interacted and bonded. Over time, he was even accepted as one of their own, taught to do more than wash dishes and only speak when spoken to.

Yet, even with that, Dew found himself to be… missing something. His new life on the surface had awakened an ache like the pressure of the deep sea- this longing he hadn’t even known was there till he’d gotten the barest hint of fulfillment. It gnawed at him, day in and day out, but no matter what he did, what avenue he went down, he couldn’t find anything to quell the feeling.

And then, after the loss of almost all their instrumentalists, the Ghost project opened auditions.

It was a tense time in the abbey; no one was sure where the project was heading in the aftermath of the banishments and Terzo’s place in the ministry was coming under question. Dew, however, saw an opportunity for something better, something that just might give him the thing that soothed the ache quickly becoming unbearable to him.

And somehow, by a miracle of Satan himself if one were to ask Dew, he was picked to play bass.

And the ache was, indeed, quelled by his time with the band, but not by the fame or attention it brought like Dew thought it would.

No, the relief came in the form of his fellow musicians, both those summoned and those that passed the auditions with him.

The Meliora ghouls were, for all intents and purposes, Dew’s first real family: Aether opened him to a vulnerability he’d never thought possible, even with himself; Zephyr taught him everything there was to know about the abbey, its secrets, and how to make it home; Mountain was a solid figure in his life, a tree to take shelter under when things became uncertain; Mist, though she was no longer a part of the band, was Dew’s mentor in both bass playing and how to be a water ghoul on the surface; Omega, likewise, was as close to a father figure as he ever had.

And then there was Ifrit. Ifrit, the fiery hearth that warmed him in body and soul. Ifrit, his heat and passion natural foil to all of Dew’s cold and disinterest. Ifrit, who knew exactly when to push Dew out of his comfort zone and when to reel back.

The two were instrumental to each other’s growth, with Ifrit the one to go head first into everything and Dewdrop being the one to slow down and think. Separately, sure, they were their own people, but together they made one better whole, bolstering each other’s strengths and balancing each other’s flaws.

And then, one day, it was all taken away.

One day, Terzo was dragged off stage without warning. One day, Imperator decided he would be of more use as a fire ghoul than water. One day, he was walked into the ritual chamber as a water ghoul for the last time, his pack waiting outside the room- not allowed in for fear of interference.

One day he woke up in the medical wing, burning all over, boiling hot from the inside out, and only found Aether and Mountain at his bedside, the both of them wearing looks that told him all he needed to know of the fates of the others.

(Just before the ritual, Ifrit had pulled him in a hug tight enough to press carbon into diamonds, hiding his worry with a smile. “It’ll be alright,” he promised, “when it’s all over and you feel better, I’ll teach you everything I know about being a fire ghoul. It’ll be fun, you’ll see!”)

(What he wouldn’t give to hold him close, him and all his family together, one last time. What he wouldn’t give to be that little water ghoul again, surrounded by love and joy he’d never known before.)

Nowadays, Dew does alright for himself. He runs much hotter than he ever had before, is a bit quicker to temper than he used to be, but his new pack doesn’t seem to mind- and lords below, does he love his new pack with everything he has.

But still, every year on the anniversary of his first pack’s death, he distanced himself from the rest. He grabs a spare blanket and Ifrit’s old acoustic guitar, walks out to the woods outside the ministry, keeps walking till he finds a clearing he and Ifrit shared with one another, a private place for the both of them to get away when things ever got too much.

Dew stops in the middle of the small glade, spreads the blanket out on the wild grass, sits down, takes out the guitar, and plucks out a tune his wildfire used to play him.

“Hello, goodbye, Twas nice to know you, how I find myself without you, that I’ll never know.”

“I let myself go.”

Hi! I wanted to drop by and say that your designs are really cool! Can I ask what MFRP stands for and what the AU is about?

You fool. You’ve let me infodump about something I’m insanely passionate about! Everything will be put under the cut, so I don’t bombard you all with a wall of text gklsdlakj

OKAY SO! MFRP stands for MultiFandom RolePlay. Mine’s a private discord server between me and my buddies, where we all sit and RP because writing together’s fun! Been doin RP since I was a wee little lad. I’ve been running this server for 3 years now- just turned 3 on Dec 15th. Me and my buddies take characters we’re passionate about, and write as if we are them. Jack and Yuya specifically are muses I’ve had for around.. 5? 6 years now? It’s the reason why Yuya’s so old compared to canon, actually. But I digress.

The AU designs themselves aren’t from a solid AU plot point, it’s a culmination of stuff that’s happened in the server! Some of these designs me and my friends have originally come into the server like that- and we have extensive backstory/au written beforehand- or it’s a normal guy who gets messed up later on. With the latter, it’s usually because of some magical force of fuckery that we call Transmagica Monstrum Disease. It’s a plot-point that started many years ago, and there's still no known cure for the ailment. TMD is highly contagious, and its only goal is to spread to everything and anything organic.

TMD, 9 out of 10 times, will alter the users body in some way, shape, or form. Via giving them some sort of physical alteration, a power alteration, or both. The initial ‘transformation’ stage is painful, and lasting side effects are present. Those afflicted may enter a “feral/berserk” state that’s uncontrollable and difficult to quell. Initial harnessing of the powers can also be difficult, and many end up hurting themselves before learning to harness them. It’s beneficial, but also has its downsides.

By the RPers/muns choice, a character/muse can get infected with TMD.

Hi. That’s me! I love fusing silly guys with their ace monsters or whatever my mind comes up with. The design practice is fun, and it’s a great way to also explore their characters! Each character deals with it in a different way and it’s awesome. :]

Mr. Eaten (Fallen London) "Of particular note for Mr. Eaten is that his influence is characterized by an all-consuming hunger that cannot be quelled no matter what you consume -- this very often manifests as cannibalism, either intentional or unintentional, but in the later stages of Seeking this also manifests as being able to consume and digest things that you should not feasibly be able to, such as live candles, solid steel, or incredibly dangerous chemical compounds, but still always feeling a gnawing hunger that cuts deeper than your very core. Also, Eaten himself is also inundated in Christian imagery, with specific parallels including being a god who was betrayed and martyred by those he held closest but lives beyond death, and that the consumption of his flesh and blood grants eternal life and transfiguration (albeit in a more literal sense), which is also reflected in his cults. Finally, Seekers of the Name are also expected to brutally mutilate themselves in various different forms on their journey, as well as adopt a ruthless mentality that dictates that everyone and everything around them is either only just another meal for consumption or just another tool to achieve their goals, to be discarded once it outlives its usefulness."

The Mystery Flesh Pit (Mystery Flesh Pit National Park) "The Mystery Flesh Pit combines the overarching cosmic horror of the Entities with the trademark visceral gore of the Flesh. Here, not only is the theme of the Flesh presented as simply as it can be with the premise of the orifice of an eldritch abomination being used as a theme park, it checks off several of the quintessential motifs of the Flesh, with bodily mutilation, change, destruction, and slaughter happening in abundance to both said entity and the unfortunate humans within it."

[Masterpost] SQ Drama CD: Beyond the Asteroid - ver. BLUE - Translations

Long time no SQ! I have been working on this in the background whenever I have some free time, and I’m so glad I can finally share them~!

SQS 2 is still one of my favorite SQ stage plays, and I am so glad that they adapted it into a drama CD~! Similar to what they did with Tsukiuta’s Yumemigusa, they added a bit more to the story to fill in the gaps that they couldn’t do on stage. This includes more dialogue from Muramasa, and a few other key details like their backgrounds and lore.

For this version, we’re focusing on QUELL’s side of the story! The RED and BLUE versions technically complete each other, but it’s also okay to watch/listen to them without listening to the other ^^

I am working on editing the original subtitles I posted, and I will post them once they are finished as well~! RED Ver. is in the works together with more from VAZZROCK~! I guess I am back in a TsukiPro high~ (ﾉ◕ヮ◕)ﾉ*:･ﾟ✧

Hajime had welcomed the expansion into theatre.

Everyone had been proud when the middle pairs had been cast in Yumemigusa - Hajime in particular as Arata had learned to work with his natural stoicism, and Shun had strutted like a peacock at the praise You and Yoru had received.

And then the world had shifted and there had been swords and fighting and blood and sickness and death and Mikaduki-san who wasn’t Mikaduki-san.

Shun had managed to work his magic to save both You and Arata (and why did Hajime have overlapping memories of both) but the effects had been far-reaching.

Gravi and Procella had given up their tickets to stay with their actors backstage. Hajime had lost count of the times he had comforted a silently crying Aoi, or seen Shun holding a panicking Yoru, walked in on Kai talking to a pale, quiet You, or Haru gripping a deathly blank Arata. He had seen Shun’s guilt over treating the incident so lightly at the beginning, and Arata and You flinch every time they’d seen a hospital for months.

Both groups had slept in one common room or the other until the nightmares stopped.

Rabbit’s Kingdom had been… strange. Hajime and Shun had decided to keep the existence of the book private until they saw how everyone reacted to the play, and the other members had been both surprised and relieved to learn why they were suddenly unwilling to let their leaders out of sight.

Hajime had been unable to sleep for weeks, both after Shun’s reading of the novel and the performances, haunted by visions of black- and white-gloved hands wrapped around Shun’s throat, Shun’s peaceful expression as he waited - expected - to die (by Hajime’s hand, or by his own when that failed). Shun’s despair and loneliness given form and murdering everyone - no matter that that part had only been a vision.

The sound of Shun’s soft call as he and his other self lay dying.

All of it had seen him on nearly nightly walks around the dorms, and sleeping in his counterpart’s room more often than not.

(The filming of Tsukino Empire had gone smoothly enough, except for the scene in the centre of the world, where Shun was prepared for Hajime to kill him. Again.

Shun had stuck close with an apologetic look and quiet reminders that it was his character, not him, and that this universe wasn’t one they had visited.

Hajime still hadn’t slept.

“Please stop asking me to kill you.”)

Zanshin had been the final straw.

That isekai trip had been a series of firsts that Hajime would have been content never experiencing: the first time Shun had warned against a world, the first time one of them had been kidnapped, the first time someone had been tortured, the first time Hajime had been certain one of his friends would die.

The first time without Shun.

The first time Hajime had seen Shun scream like that at someone.

The rest of the experience had become normal at this point.

Shun refusing to let Hajime, Haru, and Kai out of his sight for weeks.

Sleeping together in the common area to deal with everyone’s nightmares.

Shun staggering, nearly hysterical, into their arms at the end of each performance as the “last boss” amid the concerned looks from Quell and SolidS.

Finally, after the seniors had shared the story of what happened in Zanshin, the groups came to a decision.

Six Gravity and Procellarum would be taking a break from the stage for the foreseeable future.
