As for cuddling, it might depend on your Returning Visitor's preferences, but in general:

Either works for B! They want you to express your preference first to ensure your comfort level since this is new. They're just happy to be cuddling you. 😌 B would have a very soft look on their face and will pull you near or tuck closer after the two of you settle down.

Hmm, S would probably be okay with either so long as they also get to hold your hand while you're cuddling together. I could see a slight preference for big spoon with them. They enjoy wrapping the MC up in their arms or pulling them back against their chest to rest/unwind.

J tends to be the big spoon. They like to hold you very close and have you near. On occasion, our Detective would actually really love to be the little spoon after long days at work or if they just need to be held, preferably tucked away in your arms and knowing you won't let go. It's a rarity, but when it happens, you'll know how much J missed you. (Bonus points if you play with their hair, which can help them relax, if not melt, even further into your hold.)

JR's cuddling somewhat depends on the MC's preference, but R likes to be in the middle or have you in the middle, while J tends to be on one of the sides. R is determined to have contact with both of you! 😏 J is more lowkey about this, draping an arm over the two of you or occasionally resting a gentle hand so they know you're there. Deeper in romance, R will be able to pick up, if not sense, when J needs to be in the center. They'll ensure that J gets that time and affection.

Mal is already known for having an encompassing presence that ensnares the MC. This is only reinforced by their scenes in Book Two that can significantly deepen the romance route. Our beloved red flag might turn into a blanket for those who treat them right. 💞 They'll want the MC firmly entrenched within their space by either holding them to their chest or allowing themself to be held. Regardless, Mal returns any attention tenfold. Big spoon, little spoon, switchblade, etc. As long as they're with you, Mal doesn't really care about the positions.

So a little funny idea I had last night is what if Desmond reincarnated in Enchancia? He could be born in a random family or better yet as Sofia's brother? Since it's a musical I bet the first time he heard someone singing he was wondering why and where the music was coming from

I was debating if it would be better for Desmond to be Miranda’s oldest son or Roland’s oldest son.

Then I remembered part of the whole backstory of Roland is that his first wife died because he wished for a family so, in this one, Desmond is going to be Sofia’s older brother from Miranda’s first husband.

He thought he was just living in some sort of fantasy world that was heavily influenced by Disney fairy tales but he didn’t know he was in a Disney fairytale.

He’s around 16 years old when Miranda married Roland and he and Sofia became prince and princess. He, of course, made sure to stress that he has no plans to aim for the throne and even made a contract that was magically ‘sealed’ by Cedric that shows his promise to never wish to become a king.

“I lived my life as a huntsman and I don’t see why I should stop being one.”

This, of course, sorta placed him a strange spot.

Because when they became royalty, that’s when the songs started. The first time he heard a song, it was Sofia’s song that showed how she’s worried she’s not cut out to be a princess and he honestly just assumed it was his sister singing to have an outlet.

Then the songs started to be accompanied by music that appeared out of nowhere when he began living in the castle.

Everyone just goes along with it as if it was natural.

When he asked his mother about it, she said “Our heart is our guide to the music that we sing. You just haven’t found your song yet.”

Desmond’s just “???” about the entire thing but this is a fairy tale world so okay.

But Desmond noticed the great divide between the nobility and the common people and, as much as he sees his step father as a good man…

Well…

The way he interacts with Cedric was certainly worrying.

But that’s not the worst of Desmond’s worry, to be completely honest.

See…

Desmond is a strange man to everyone. He was kind and sweet but he showed that he knows when it He even treats Cedric with kindness and treated him as an equal, sometimes scolding the king about berating Cedric in public.

(Sure, Sofia did as well but Sofia was usually in school or away in some adventure or something while Desmond stayed in the castle, hunting or helping out his mother. He didn’t have lessons on how to be a royal but he can handle things his own way (his own way being a combination of fallen Italian nobility from the 15th century and posh Englishman that is technically a noble from the 18th century).

All of this culminates in Cedric throwing away his goal of taking the throne for himself and aiming to make Desmond the king.

And the first thing he needs to take care of?

That pesky contract Desmond had him make to show his disinterest with being king.

[Dulce] Ehh, I'm not entirely happy with the flavor and spice, so I think I'll add some red chiles too.

(3.) I have to push through and make it to the dessert round. I think once I get there, the title of Diced Junior Champion is mine since I'm a baker's daughter.

(4.) [Alex] Hi, Andrea. Sorry, I can't really talk right now. Gotta focus.

[Andrea] Oh, okay-

(5.) [Alex] I hope she didn't find that rude. Like I said, I like Andrea. Carlo is kind of getting on my nerves, though. You're worried about time but also want us to stop and chitchat for a while? Let me work, man.

(6.) [Andrea] How's your progress, Rubiya?

[Rubiya] The jicama isn't really cooperating with me right now... but everything else is good!

(7.) [Rubiya] It'd be life-changing for me if I won. I could use that money for culinary school. There's always the regional spelling bees that I'll try in the future, but nothing is ever guaranteed in life. Take every chance you get.

(8.) [Alex] If I won, I would donate the money to the ALS Association. My grandpa in Henford-on-Bagley recently passed away from ALS complications. He was a nice man. He would take me around his farm, and he even gave some goats to my parents.

(9.) [Alex] That's why I know how to raise goats and cook the meat... hey! I guess Lewis and I aren't that much different. We know a thing or two about the farm life.

(10.) [Dulce] If I won, I would give most of the money to my mom for our bakery. There were some people who... took advantage of certain things, so the bakery suffered for a long time. Everything is okay now, but not exactly like how it used to be.

(11.) [Alex] Dang, I almost forgot about my jicama! I have to still spiralize it too.

(12.) [Mia] Wow, I've never seen such concentration from young chefs before. They are fully immersed.

[Sofia] Bring me back as a judge next season! I'll be recording a deluxe version of my album, but I'll make time.

(13.) [Dulce] Done dicing and chopping everything! I'll add everything to the pot and put back the extra things in the fridge.

(14.) [Rubiya] What a beautiful color.

Sure! So she earns the role after fulfilling a quest on behalf of the former fairy queen Titania, which enables her to reunite with King Oberon. Aurora agrees to become the new Queen after she’s lived a full human life alongside Phillip

They have a long and happy life together, raise their two children and see their grandchildren grown, and then walk into the Enchanted Forest hand in hand into the Fairy Realm, where they regain their youth and gain basically immortality .

Aurora rules as the Fairy Queen Briar Rose from then on into the future of the EverRealm (queen of the fairies on the continent they’re on. She’s basically the High Queen and there are lower different fay monarchs, such as the elf queens seen in Sofia the First, the Neverland Fairies and Queen Nicnaven, seen in my Brave sequel idea)

Also here’s some of the High Fairy Council that advises Briar Rose (named them after the fairies in the Sleeping Beauty Ballet)

I would like to introduce my snails to the world of tumblr so their legacy will not be lost in the dust of time.

Sock

Sock was the first snail that came into my life! They are the friendliest and most active, constantly climbing over all the other snails and zooming around the tank. I identify them by the darker colour of their shell and the thick section that has no stripes/growth lines! Top artist on Spotify is Poppy.

Henrietta

This is Henrietta! Saved first from the side of a bucket and then our trash can shortly after, Henrietta has had a hard tumultuous life indicated by the large amount of growth lines and tendency to retreat quickly into her shell. They are the largest of my snails and also the hungriest! They love carrots and celery the most Their top artist on Spotify is Grandson.

Duo

Duo, my fastest snail, got their name from the distinct double stripes on their shell. They love exploring their surroundings and are almost actively climbing around their terrarium. (The stripes make them go faster) When they are asleep, it’s typically on the lid of the terrarium or on the walls. Their top artist on Spotify is Yung Gravy!

Marigold

With their distinctive yellow marking, Marigold is the most chill of my snails, often hanging out outside of her shell without moving around much. They’re often found hanging out around the food bowl despite not typically eating much compared to the other snails. Their top artist is Girl in Red!

Catherine the Great

The shyest and least active of my snails. Likely the oldest as well. Typically hangs out inside their shell, only coming out every couple days for a snack before heading back into their shell. Holds rage in their heart and hides to avoid facing the realities of our quickly dying planet and exploitation of the working class. Their favourite artist is Sofia Isella.

Pandora

The chosen one. Hatched before I had the chance to perform snail-bortion, escaping death by a hair. Though the great embrace of death will eventually take us all without mercy, Pandora seeks to make the most of their time here and spends each day training to be the best snail they can possibly be. The child of Marigold, Duo, or Cathrine the Great. Pandora’s favourite artist is Naethan Apollo!

The Home 💖

This is the home of my snails! Typically it also has a humidifier but I’m currently house sitting so we’re doing it manually through my trusty spray bottle!

Snail info 💖🐌

These snails have all come into my possession from work! They hide away on the shipments of our florals and I take them home from there. They cannot be released into the wild as they are not native to my area and would not survive in my climate. Additionally, if they were to survive, they would be considered invasive and have an extremely detrimental impact to the local ecosystem. The best option for them at the moment is captivity.

I make sure they have the best life possible by feeding them fresh produce such as lettuce, carrots, celery, avocado, apples, peppers, etc. They also get calcium supplements through crushed eggshells and cuttlefish bone!

The information on ground snails as pets is fairly minimal so much of what I do is on instinct and based on information known about water snails.

ok so I might just get bitten for this but I’m sorry the amnesia/hEAVY angst trope. like yessss I knowww flwogb but darlings, I physically cannot bring myself to read such intense, vomit inducing, eye twitching, nail bitingly vicious angst on purpose. idk maybe I’m just a freak but I read fanfic to make my characters happy and there is a LINE 😭😭

anyway yeah like angst is great but there are only so many dark fics I can take before I’m like: ok are these the same characters or am i just sleep deprived

For this ask, we are going to pretend cellphones are common in Fernweh despite the lacking signal. :D

B: I feel like B might actually almost give it before realizing this was meant in a romantic way. Let the backpedaling begin! “Oh yeah, I'll add you too. My partner has all the heart emojis though. They are also, like, my emergency contact, so... What's your name again??” Hopefully, their sheepish flush isn't misinterpreted as a blush. It was an accident! They are going to tell you once you come back and/or rescue them.

S: “I’ll pass, but thanks.” Polite, nonchalance helps to soften S's rejection, although any persistence/insistence from their admirer will cause S's sharp wit to leave a mark. They will likely try to create some distance after that answer, walking away or going back to reading, etc.

R: “483-003-21—My partner will kill you." 🥴 No hesitation with shutting the person down with a slightly playful edge to it. Yes, they would say this even about the sweetest and shyest MC just to make it clear that they aren't available or interested. R doesn't understand how the person missed the hint from earlier, but they are willing to remind them. 

J: “...I don't have a phone.” 😐 Very calm, possibly too calm, and neutral. Before the person could even ask for their number, J was starting to look for you since they lost interest while still not yet cluing into their admirer's infatuation with them. If the person insists, J leaves. They don't have time for this and would much prefer finding you again. (Also, yeah, J has a phone, only very few people know their number.) 

Mal: “Now why would you want my number when your phone's broken?” The admirer might grow confused, lighting up the screen of their phone to prove a point, just in time to see Mal's polished smile turn sharper. They get the hint and back off, possibly backing away. Zero tolerance from Mal, especially since this person must have timed asking them this question given how busy our enigmatic server can be.

NOW this is more of a language error on my part, sorry! I mean, 'm hispanic, so the way i say Nico is probably not the same way how you all said it. For me, Nico is a female nickname (i know someone who name is Nikita and i use the nickname Nico for her), and 'cause Alba is also from a hispanic background, she use this nickname with Nicole.

So no, the only trans hc i catch in the gang is Nell.
