Ryuji definitely finds Conventionally Attractive Girls pretty, but he realizes around postgame that he genuinely formed crushes on THREE people; Akira, Makoto, and Goro. And all three of them are people who carry themselves as a bit Soft and Delicate (akira and makoto w their personality and mannerisms, goro w his appearance) while also being deceptively strong. Yusuke WOULD fit into this but hes only strong in the metaverse. Also if u tried to argue that he still finds yusuke pretty, Ryuji would just say ‘yeah duh? Of course???’ and would not elaborate further.

I just think. Its cute 👉🏾👈🏾 Ryuji loves someone whos pretty and capable of knocking him flat on his ass lmao He LOVES a challenge and he likes that they can all challenge him in different ways.

Akira is way stronger than he looks; hes very toned and he used to be quite active before being shipped off to tokyo. And after fighting in the metaverse, hes gotten way better at using an enemies mass and momentum against them. Yeah he can properly knock someone down, but its way easier to let Ryuji charge him and use that momentum to sweep and pin. Which Ryuji remembers vividly for Weeks. Akira is not allowed to spar w him and Makoto for awhile after that.

Makoto is just strong as hell. But shes very defensive, and extremely patient. ‘Ill wait and see before I decide What to do’. Shes got good reaction timing and its hard to catch her offguard. Its very difficult to disorient her so oftentimes, his spars w her are more about endurance. And if he ASKS her to do so, she’ll actually fight him back. He never wins 😭 but she is very patient w him and she doesnt treat him like an idiot. She likes to give him tips and redirect his strengths to make up for his weaknesses and it makes him a bit warm in this chest

Spars w Goro are just fun. Theyre fun! Goro is way more aggressive and reckless than Makoto and Akira. He is looking for openings near constantly and Ryuji has to either keep up or tank hits. Its very. Engaging. For him. Sometimes he loses and Goro is giving him a look so smug, Ryuji wishes he could kick him in his fucking teeth (something he clearly couldnt do bc hes already been knocked flat on his ass). And sometimes he wins, and hes so shocked and HAPPY about it; he doesnt miss the way Goro looks away from him pouting like a brat (‘no fucking way are u POUTING man, what a sore loser 😭’). Goro and his uptight personality is thrown out the window completely and its so fun and refreshing to see. Hes tall and imposing w broad shoulders and toned arms and if Ryuji is staring, he finds himself immediately distracted when Goros cheerful, softspoken voice asks if hes willing to go another round.

I love it 👉🏾👈🏾 Ryujis got a complicated relationship w violence but it helps to have people he trusts engage with it in a way that doesnt make him feel like some brute. Theyre all kind of itching to beat the shit out of things for multiple reasons, but instead of taking that out on each other, they spend time training one another so that they can beat the shit out of OTHER things better. Its an efficient system 😊

this is specifically true in the area of names, which seems kind of insane, but even like something as minute as stan's maternal grandfather's name being joaquin and shortened to 'walk' by william phillips, stan's abuelos secret sbf lover in ww2, and stan's middle-name-sake who walk called run, is important because will-phil's war-torn, heirloom leather jacket which was given to stan's gpa seconds before run did what all white men should do ( go die in a war ) had now become Stan's Signature Leather Jacket, which was a huge ( like literally its gigantic ) part of his identity as a young transman but in a meptahorical sense, that red string of fate that tipsy!gpa!walk hand embroidered into the tag of his lover's jacket which stan wore with pride ( also literally ) is a physical testament to two men's true blue love for each other, represents revolution/rebirth & also says R-U-N.

...which is Exactly what stan does.

Ok important question, how/do the aliens kiss? Like does the species kiss or have something with the same meaning?

they don't kiss in the way we would think about it, since they don't have mobile lips and have much larger mouths, but they do a lot of like. head nudges, nose touching, rubbing their faces together, that kind of thing. individuals with a lot of experience with humans - particular how humans expression affection/desire - will pick up more habits akin to kissing, depending on their partner - gentle bites, licking, etc.

they also have very long tongues, so do with that information what you will.

Just out of curiosity, why is there dirt on Erik's coffin? is that a Swedish/European thing? In the US I know that it's a thing at some funerals to have the family toss a handful of dirt into the grave after the casket is lowered, but I've never seen/heard of anyone having dirt on the casket before the funeral.

My family doesn't really do funerals, we prefer Life Celebrations and cremation.

I'm very confused as to why you're asking me specifically cause I can think of multiple blogs that I'd probably trust more than myself to answer Swedish/Europe specific questions, nor do I have a great deal of experience with funerals in recent memory but. Hell, I have a degree in history, I know how to research!

I dug a little bit into the idea that it might be Sweden specific, but it doesn’t appear to be that (Swedish funerary traditions are reflected though, the white tie Wilhelm wears is one). From what I could find, viewings in Sweden are pretty standard, and a casket will be displayed with flowers. From pictures I could find of real Swedish royal family funerals it doesn’t come from them, either. Beyond that possibility, searches for dirt on a casket all bring up the tradition you’ve mentioned of tossing dirt into the grave, which supposedly has to do with returning to where one came from, and if I had to guess I’d say the dirt on Erik’s coffin is an extension of that. It might have to do with having the connection to the earth even as the burial itself is delayed by funeral processions, but that’s like a blue curtains symbolism random guess so don’t take my word for it.

TL;DR - It’s not a Swedish thing, nor does it appear to be an anywhere thing, I think its just a small specific thing, maybe its regional or even just familiar to one of the set decorators, maybe it’s just for the drama of the shot of Wille running his fingers through it. There isn’t really an answer to be found by searching :/

If this IS familiar to anybody and you could enlighten us a bit further as to it’s meaning or origins I would be delighted to hear from you <3

once again trying to decide if i should show counselor/therapist my selfship art bc she asks to see any art I've made that i want to show her each session fjfkdl ,,,, i probably won't because I'm still terrified of being judged for it but mannnnn that rly has been almost all I've made these past two months ( ╥ω╥ )

- i was 12 & discovered fanfiction + fanfiction.net while in the middle of an obsession with “super robot monkey team hyper force go”—a very silly cartoon that i’m still v fond of, if not as active in the fandom for~

- my fave character from the show was “antauri”

- i named myself ANTAURIfan

- a friend i made in the fandom gave me the nickname “tauria” which <333 i loved

- i adopted a kitten from a shelter a few months to a year later, still p into the fandom. she was a lovely little gray kitten, & antauri eventually transforms into a silver version*. i was also told she was a boy (not that it mattered at all) so! i named her tauri <3

- she’s going to be 12 next month (i think. i got her in early december & she was 4-6 weeks old, so she may already be 12) & my heart can’t take it <3333
