Chapter 136 thoughts -w-
Spoilers duh
-
-
-
- this chapter was certified meh. Mid, even. Not great, not horrible, just eh
- Mika looks so fucking ugly atp
- Urd in action!! Too bad he looks ugly as hell while at it
- Since when was there a curse that vampires can't kill Mikayuu?? This is the first time I'm hearing about it?? Huh
- wow, for once Mikayuu fail at a plan. That's a first
- Krul looks so good, adorable, beautiful. Truly a Queen <3
- No Ferid vs Krul brawl this chapter :(
- also Krul why are you doubting ur abilities against Ferid? Ur still way older than him, have some confidence >:/
- Shinya!! He's so ugly lmao what even
- so is Kureto. Lol. Lmao even.
- Their banter is nice tho. I liked it
- Shinya is so chill with having the wall of his fucking room burst open (not like it's the first time that happened...) bro is over this
- Guren squad soon??
- seems like a deliberate move on Shikama to not reveal that Shinoa is the one devouring him bc despite *gestures vaguely* everything, Yuu would probably still side with Shinoa. I hope.
- Shikama looks a little better art-style wise!
- Right, Yuu's goal now is to resurrect the angels... EVEN THOUGH THEIR REINCARNATIONS ARE LIKE, RIGHT THERE?? Except Asuramaru who he fucking ate
- no way Yuu got the cheatcodes to bypass god himself. Someone gotta smite this overzealous teenager bruh
- also dude, do NOT become Shikama's successor, what is wrong with you, you literally just saw how badly he fucked up bc of the love for his people
- FUCK YEAH SHINOA IDC ABOUT YUU'S GOALS BC HE MAKES ME SICK ATP GO FUCK SHIT UP- I mean whaaat Shinoa no don't destroy Shikama's and Mikayuu's plans noooo :(
- "But I'll take it all from you... So you can never hurt anyone with it again." Queen behavior. Also Shinoa looks v pretty,,,,
- ^ so from that I assume Shinoa isn't just doing allat out of her 'love' for Yuu but also out of love for anyone who got directly involved in Shikama's batshit insane plans (so Mahiru, Kimi and Yoi (they were test subjects too. btw.), probably even Mitsuba and also Yuu and Mika probably. But I also like to think she's doing it for her past self :) )
- anyways watch Kagami make Shinoa go full yandere bc god forbid there is a decently written woman in this series
- ends on Rigr and his squad maybe hopefully cornering Yuu. BEAT HIM UP PLEASE- I mean what noooo let the poor guy destory everything to revive your past angel incaranations :(

Simple question, but I still want to ask, looking at the manga right now there seem to be some chances that the author might ruin mikayuu ship, and if that happens I'm afraid gureshin/shingure would also reach the same fate.
Worst- probably kagami will end up guren with mahiru after all that emotional damage and we will never get to see shinya's real feeling towards guren or shinya may just become yet another love interest for guren.
Mikayuu is surely more popular than gureshin and if this ends then I'm quite sure gureshin will too.
What are your thoughts in this?
So... Where so I begin? I think chronologically according to your points would be best.
First of all, how should the Mikayuu ship be ruined? If they turn out to be two parts of Mikaela? I don't see how this would ruin the ship in any way. It doesn't undo the "we will stay forever for several thousand years". No, it even emphasizes "we belong together". That the two are inseparable had always been an essential part of the ship. I don't see anything undo what they already have.
In my opinion it's silly how everyone keeps panicking now. It had always been clear that mikayu will probably never be canon-canon. But nothing of this changes the possibility that they would still be together in the end. As I said before, they are inseparable and i can't imagine an ending where they either die or live together.
As for GureShin. Guren and Shinya were also never made to be canon-canon. Still we got overly romantic toned scenes. For example the motorcycle scene. Listening to your friends heart beats? *Cough* still, this was made to be read romantic not be romantic. And Guren would never end up with Shinya in a romantic relationship.and that's fine.
It's always said that Kagami doesn't know how to write romance. He had been writing romance in his previous works and these always had more chemistry and build up than all the other shippings that the fandom claims will be canon in the end.
Shinoa was even predicted to project her own nerds and desires onto a person and Guren always kept his distance from Mahiru. These ships are written to be one sided. And that's really interesting. It's just that the story has the tendency to not tell the reader anything concrete. So it won't tell you "Guren doesn't love Mahiru". It will tell you "he doesn't like to talk with her about his problems" or "she was his biggest mistake". That's a lot of evidence that is often ignored because the other characters think that they are lovers (Shinoa, Kureto) and this makes sense in the context of the story.
But considering how Guren's and Shinya's relationship is described and Shinya always is Guren's sweet spot: all of this will never change. Guren had been crying for Shinya's sake, he had been protecting him no matter what. So I'm still here to hopefully - in the future - get more fan service scenes between Guren and Shinya despite knowing they will never be a "real thing".
I'm just here to see them act overly cute together and I'm positive that this will happen again 💕

Seraph of The End and its plot
Let me clarify this: Seraph of The End is a masterpiece, a work of literary art. Despite this, it has a lot of problems with its plot.
Let me state the extremely obvious; Seraph of The End is on an acid trip at this point of the plot. There's a lot of plot twists, and definitely some plot inconsistencies. This is probably because Kagami is changing up stuff so that it matches with his ideal outcome/ending for it, of course. Not to say it's near, since it's still a total clusterfuck and a lot of things have to be clarified before the manga can progress (not to mention it is MONTHLY, so we get 12 chapters per year to work with).
I personally, don't understand how YUU is MIKAELA. This is physically impossible, because, we know that Yuu is the eyeball. Not the fucking human???? unless Yuu is being stupid again and misreading his memories. Like, Michaela named the eyeball, the first Yuu, you know... Yuu. That just doesn't make sense. The eyeball basically gave life to a bunch of humans, so it would more be Yuu's child than a vessel of Yuu. Michaela and Yuu do not appear to be similar at all. You can tell because of the way his personality starts out. A fearful child, and a generic tsundere teenager. He just grows more innocent and foolishly blinded by his affection for life as time progresses. Michaela isn't exactly innocent in the child-like sense, he's more curious. Curious as to why life is... well, life. Honestly, I just don't get it at all. I just have no other way to explain it.
And then, where would Mikaela get his personality from? We know he's a successful clone of Michaela, but we don't know much about him [MIKAELA] as a person. We know a lot about Yuu, he's the first main lead; who the story is about. However, the story is centric around Mika too. So, it's inconsistent and just all the more confusing.
Shinoa Squad, GureMahi, and KrulFeri. (Not using their names as shipping, but more of an abbrev. for their names since theyre seen together) What about them? We have no idea what's going on with them. Since, our original leads in the previous plot arc was centric around them too. Shinoa Squad has been there from the start, so what'll be made of that? Seriously, seems like Kagami just cut them out and forgot them.
The plot is literally inconsistent as shit. Everything went downhill from the conversion of Mika to cursed gear and forth. After that it just got so much more confusing than it actually should be. And yet again, the story falls victim to the plot inconsistencies! Wow. Surprising. The story still remains interesting, but it's still extremely, extremely confusing. This may also ward off newer readers, because it's just not easy to wrap your head around unless you like overanalyzing stuff.
[END. If you are a MikaYuu or YuuNoa shipper, continue reading.]
Alright, now there's two possible ship endings that I can think of right now when it comes to our main leads.
A.) MikaYuu. They've been together from the start, they are the epitome of "It was always you", sacrificed everything to be with each other, show parallels to a ship considered "semi-canon" according to the ship wiki (this being GureMahi, as it has the most material to have parallels be made to)., and of course is a fan favorite. This can work, if Kagami decides to please his readers with something that you wouldn't see in a shounen: queers. I can see the world ending again, with Mika and Yuu sitting together, smiling at the destruction. [Although, I picture Mika slightly less happy.] Yuu and Mika watch as their greed has caused all of this, but they just don't seem to care all that much. After all, they're together.
B.) YuuNoa. They're the main leads. Main female, main male. They display parallels to GureMahi as well (but I find they have less), Shinoa's canon crush on Yuuichirou (that I will write a masterpost analyzing later), it's a shounen there has to be some straights somewhere, maybe Shinoa's love will have some good outcome for her. For YuuNoa, I picture that Yuu decides to revive the world (with Mika being by his side, can't kill off the main guy completely), with Shinoa finally having the strength to profess her love. Yuuichirou being like "WOW!! You like me!? AWESOME!!!!" and boom, they hold hands or something.
I'm mentioning these potential endings because shounen has some kind of outcome for their main characters. (ex: naruto's marriage, goku and chichi, ichigo and orihime, etc.) Of course, it's up to Kagami with what he wants to do with the romantic tensions. As for my stance on ships? Whatever seems the most canon at that moment is what I will support. Of course, as long as it isn't fucking disgusting. At this moment, it looks like MikaYuu is going to be canon. This may change, but I'm all for some queers.
SO, to conclude: Owari no Seraph is kind of a clusterfuck, and that's not a good thing. If it's gonna be saved, Kagami has a lot of explaining to do. Potential endings with ships can happen, depending on what Kagami wants to do with the story.
Send asks about topics you want me to maybe cover!! I'd love to do that :)

Round 2
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Propaganda Under Cut
Yennefer
Constantly villainized because one way or another she gets in the way of a MLM ship (though at least one of them would probably be fine with a poly relationship). In the show version of her, her love interest bound her to him via magic, never told her until someone else brought it up despite it the bond causing them to meet over and over, her love interest didn’t understand why this upset her and brushed it off and still has never apologized for it because apparently it was the only way to save her life, she had better chemistry with Jaskier (the other half of the MLM ship) and had a semi-decent rivals to frenemies thing going on, the show took away her powers (which never happened in the books) to have her go on a pointless quest to get them back that worsened her relationship with her love interest because they had her try to kill her love interest’s adopted child (which now justifies why he doesn’t need to apologize of course), and all of that was after she’d already had an arc regarding sacrifice and how power wasn’t really what she wanted.
she's an incredibly powerful mage and drop dead gorgeous and deserved so much better!!! justice for yen
God forbid women do anything. She either gets hate or is ignored, really classic stuff. And she's Geralt's gf but you know, *gestures at geraskier*
Shinoa Hiiragi
The fandom hated her for getting in the way of Mika/Yuu (she had a crush on yuu). The rare times they didn’t hate her they made her into a fujoshi obsessed with shipping them which isn’t in character at all. In fact if you look at the owari no seraph specials she would ship yuu with kimizuki but no one even cares
One of my favorite characters ever forever and treated heinously by crazed fujoshis that hallucinated she was getting in the way of MikaYuu, which for the record she wasn’t! I mean even if she WAS getting between them it wouldn’t justify the crazy misogyny that got thrown at her but she had a ONE-SIDED CRUSH on Yuu. He didn’t even like her back. What was the issue, then? An unrequited crush is not going to prevent a relationship! Whatever I haven’t even told you about her. She’s Silly. She’s incredibly cunning and a great leader, in fact she is the leader of the anime’s main squad. She’s calculating. She’s a gossip and a prankster and a bit flirty and a bit mean-spirited and she presents herself in a Silly Goofy way, in part to cover up the amounts of angst in her backstory, like my girl has ISSUES. She even has an epic demon weapon that is better and cooler than most other demon weapons but if you ask any fangirl from way-back-when, she’s just a bitch and the personification of evil. and probably homophobic too, even though she has a girl rival-turned-friend which is the gayest trope out there.
i still am completely fascinated by her character because the way she thinks and approaches things is actually pretty cool, and I thought her crush on the protagonist was actually handled pretty well, and she's pretty respectful/responsible about it. overall she's doing her best, and I love her character

Well here I am (ONS chapter 128)
Ok I'm finally writing out my thoughts about ONS' 128. Idk how long it'll come out (extremely long as I'm writing it it seems...) and also as always I want to hear others' opinions on this, but as a warning it will be mostly negative. I actually did a similar post back at the start of the year with BSD, but BSD at least managed to bounce back full force and do what it needed to do while ONS shows no signs of that.
I'll break it down into the following points:
>I'm also getting tired of the flashbacks (as many already did)
>I miss the Shinoa squad (will touch upon Mitsuba specifically and y'all probably know why)
>The belief that MikaYuu fans are getting much better content and why I think that's bs (will probably mention my theorem of "Mika, along with literally all the women of the franchise, got hit with the mysoginy stick")
So let's go I guess, under the cut so I don't clutter my non-ONS followers' dash.
>The flashbacks: I... Did not mind them up unti now, if I've got to be honest. Let's be serious here everyone probably expected a batshit crazy backstory for the characters, ESPECIALLY Yuu and Mika, and that's what made me not really complain. Now it has been like? 8 chapters of ONLY flashbacks??? Only things of the past with NO break and NO POV switches to at least let us know wtf is going on in the outside world. Christ. The fact that irritates me the most is that all of this adds nothing to the plot either!!! What are the MCs supposed to do now that they've seen one of them (WHO HAS BEEN 4 DIFFERENT SPECIES TOO SINCE THE START OF THE SERIES???) sacrifice for the 3rd time!!!! AND IN THE PAST AT THAT!!!! HOW IS THIS USEFUL FOR THEM OR ANY OF US AGHHFHGHHG. We got other gays going at it tho and that's just funny to me. This is just a BL masked as a battle shonen lmaoooo.
>The Shinoa squad: I feel like this is obvious. Where tf are they? They obviously are looking out for where Mika and Yuu are, how did we not see them again yet??? Some progress in their hunt (let's call it that) for those two??? Shinoa literally threatened to kill Mika (and, for a number of reasons, let me say this: ew.) I'd at least like to see her and how she's doing. And didn't Kagami promise us Mitsuba would get more screentime soon? THIS IS LITERALLY A PERFECT SETTING. SHOW ME HER AND SHINOA BEING IN CONFLICT CUS SHE WORRIES ABOUT HER FRIEND AND WANTS HER TO COME TO HER SENSES!!! SHOW ME HOW THEE LITERAL KIDS ARE DOING AFTER BEING ASKED BY A FULL ON 24 Y.O TO CHOOSE THEIR FAMILIES OR THE WORLD LIKE BE SO SERIOUS THE SETTING WAS *DECENT* (wouldn't say perfect cus I'm not the biggest fan of the "bring everyone back" plot but ok) FOR IT ALL I'M *explodes*
>MikaYuu: Oh boy ok here we go. So since I came back after my rewatch and catch up to this manga which resulted in hyperfixation again I noticed that the narrative of MikaYuu shippers getting better content cus a lot of the chapters now focus on them is... common. And for a while I just thought "ok" and moved on but now I'm fully on convinced it's just. Not true. Not because the content isn't there, I would be lying if I said that, but because it's... Not good. Good content, for me (as someone who clearly loves these two if you scroll for even 2 minutes down my fucking tag), would be seeing actual growth between them, some actual substance in what they are doing as of rn, and we are not getting any of that. Since when did we see them actually DO something? Last time we saw Yuu in his actual body and actually saying something was last chapter and he was EATING. Then we went back to them just passively staring at everything that went on. And to add onto this, I dislike demon Mika as a plot IN GENERAL because it recessed any development both for HIM and for Yuu himself. Yuu acts stupid (wtf happened to him after Nagoya I'm being so serious Nagoya Yuu I miss you so much) as shit cus anyway Mika IS strong enough to let him get away with it but not enough to oppose Yuu at some point and this was addressed as a problem for like 2 seconds and then nothing. Oh my God. And not only that but this fucking thing also shows that Mika did, indeed, also get hit with a mysoginy beam, but that's another topic I want to talk about in another post if anyone even really cares about it.
So... Yeah. I'm not tired (I only started catching up in March after my rewatch, so I'm still curios about how this will go), but I AM sad. I really miss the earlier arcs and the potential they all had that now seems like a long lost memory. Can we all collectevely just go back to the Nagoya one like if the series stuck to that path I would be able to excuse its flaws up until a point because GOD. The eyeball with its Seraph shit or whatever the hell it was doing was cool tho.
As always y'all can tell me what y'all think, but I'm mostly expecting this to get lost in the void given how dead the fandom is. So yeah, see ya.

Omitions — Mikayuu Drabble
Mikaela and Yuichiro mutually broke up years ago on good terms. Despite that, they remained good friends. And despite it all, Mikaela still harbors strong feelings towards Yuichiro.
The question is: will one summer night resolve their splitting, and bring them back together?
Drabble below the "keep reading" line :)
There’s nothing quite like the feeling of summer break rolling in from a stressful, rather eventful spring semester. Nothing quite like the freedom afforded by no longer having to wake up for pointless eight-in-the-morning classes, or not having to stay up late the night before, racking your head for a prepped lunch meal.
Summer break brings with it sleepless nights, youthful banter, and the ever elusive summer-romances.
Mikaela has been in college for four years now. And those summer-romances still have not made their grand appearance.
He presses his lips into a thin line, unlocking his phone.
Several flashes appear on the television screen, bathing the dimly-lit living room in vibrant colors. It dyes his skin in temporary technicolor, pulling his attention once again.
Then again, he couldn’t focus all that hard if he really tried anyway.
The hum of electrical devices gets drowned out by the echoes of character sprites taking hits and shooting virtual rounds of ammo on screen.
And (un)helpfully seated by him, is Yuichiro: head resting gently against Mikaela’s lap, gaze turned toward the screen, body strewn across the couch as his fingers try to keep up with the demand of the fast-paced game.
His dark, thick hair is splayed across Mikaela’s lap, fanning out wildly in different directions, untamable in the ten years Mikaela had known Yuichiro. And his skin glows its beautiful summer tan, even in the darkness of the living room, adorned with small scars from his rough childhood.
There’s a particular scar on Yuichirou’s chin that has never escaped Mikaela’s watchful gaze: a small slit caused by a knife when he was just a toddler.
He rips away his prying gaze, and forces himself to focus on his phone again.
Unlocks it. Scrolls through his home screen. Opens Twitter. Refreshes. Closes Twitter.
With nothing more than an audio cue, the room gets dyed in red once again. It’s a mocking death screen.
“Maybe if you tried playing upright like a normal person,” Mikaela supplies blandly.
He says that, but selfishly—he knows he wants Yu to stay this close. Even at the detriment of his own heart.
There’s a small shift against his lap. Just for a moment, Mikaela dares let his eyes drift downwards again. Yuichiro is side-eyeing him with a smile.
“Nah. ‘S more comfortable this way.”
A flush rises on Mikaela’s cheeks, and he huffs indignantly, ripping his gaze away from dangerously bright green eyes back to his phone.
“Suit yourself, stupid Yu-chan.”
Yuichiro laughs; light and soft and every bit as delicate as the other times Mika has imprinted the sound in his head.
“Just you wait,” he says, pressing on the restart button again. “I’ll beat the level this way and prove you wrong, Mika!”
Mikaela hums—opening Twitter and refreshing the app for the umpteenth time. It doesn’t do anything to change his timeline; in fact, the same post from a mutual friend stares back at him and mocks him as he tries to divert his focus.
And unceremoniously, so soon after Yu’s uttered words, another death screen bathes the room in a familiar crimson red.
Yuichiro groans loudly in frustration.
Mikaela doesn’t even get a smug word out before he presses the retry button again.
It’s quiet between them.
Quiet, and calm, and every bit of a moment well spent for summer break.
“Hey,” Yuichiro starts, eyes still focused on the battle sequence on the television, “how did your date with that Lacus guy go?”
Mikaela tenses.
His heart dares betray him: it dares accelerate within the confines of his chest—it dares pump blood of delusion and hope through his veins and intoxicate his mind in a plethora of what-ifs.
He forces himself to stay neutral, gaze focused on his phone. “What’s got you curious?”
“Nothing!” Yuichiro barks haughty. The button mashing gets louder; more irritated. “You just mentioned liking him. And that you guys were hanging out more often after classes, so I thought, ya’know…”
“Lacus likes Rene,” Mika replies smoothly.
He’s not really expecting Yuichiro to pause his game mid-attack and turn his head towards him on his lap.
“Oh.”
Big, green eyes stare at him. Innocently. Maybe even a little concerned.
“Are you okay?”
Mika furrows his brows. “We’re just friends.” He swipes across the home screen, back and forth repeatedly. “I mean, I used to like Lacus awhile ago, but things changed and that’s okay. We’re good friends now.”
Yuichiro’s fingers hover and twitch over the unpause button.
What if… he caved into the delusion of hope within his chest? What if he chanced it just this once, and offered a little more information…
After a brief pause between them, he chances it—despite the quivering of his heart and the newfound anxiety coursing his veins.
“Besides, I don’t think I’d be happy with anyone.” Mikaela chances a look at Yuichiro. “I’m okay with being alone.”
Several minute expressions flicker across Yuichiro’s face. Small, little shifts in his face that Mikaela has come to know distinctly with years of experience.
Yuichiro sets down his controller on the coffee table and shifts his body to look at Mikaela.
“Are you sure you’re alright? Like really.”
It’s not often Yu is so soft-spoken like this.
Mikaela averts his gaze.
“I don’t see why not.” Mikaela shrugs.
Yuichiro furrows his brows. “Mika.”
“It’s really not a problem,” he says again.
Who is he trying to convince, really?
“Mika,” Yuichiro says louder this time.
Mikaela pauses, and looks at him.
Yuichiro pulls himself up to sit, and Mikaela can see the constraining of his abdominal muscles peak from beneath his ridden-up tee-shirt.
“Did I hurt you? When we were together?”
The question is straight to the point.
It manages to steal Mika’s breath; pull a punch into his lungs and rob him of any oxygen.
“What?” He asks, voice barely above a whispered breath.
Yu licks his lips, suddenly unsure. But that insecurity melts away almost instantly: “All this talk about you being okay with being alone. We’ve both been seeing other people. I flirted with Shinoa and Mitsuba for a bit, and you looked infatuated with Lacus for awhile—”
He’s rambling.
“—but hearing this now. Are you really okay with just being alone and not seeing anyone at all? You’re the one who always annoyingly went on about true love when we were kids.”
Mikaela swallows thickly.
In his heart and in his head, the only person he’s ever truly opened up to and loved was Yu. Yuichiro was the first person to want him, wholly and purely. He was the first person who stayed by his side no matter the consequence.
And Mika loved Yu more than he loved the other orphans; more than he loved his own family; more than he loved love.
Mika loved Yu more than he loved life itself.
“Mika?” Yu asks carefully.
Fingers press into his wrist, gingerly coaxing his phone out of his grasp.
Mikaela never truly did get over his break-up with Yu. In a way, sure, he did: he got over it eventually with enough time to heal and lick at his wounds, and he learned from the experience. But he was never able to impale a flag of conquest over the plains of his heart which Yu had held sovereign.
He never truly got over his suffocating love for Yu.
“I’m okay, Yu-chan,” he manages to say.
The crease between Yuichiro’s brows deepens. His lips down-turn cutely.
“Your staccato responses are worrying me.”
Mikaela forces a half-baked smile and huff of a laugh. “Staccato? Where did you learn such a big word like that?”
“Shaddup.” Yu shoves his shoulder half-heartedly. “I’m being serious, dumbass.”
He chances eye-contact with Yu: chances staring into his eyes and anchoring himself just before the tipping point of evergreen forests and moss-colored blades of grass. It’s a hexxing thing: to look into Yuichiro’s eyes.
It disarmed him in a way no one had ever managed before.
“I haven't felt serious about anyone in a long time,” Mikaela admits. “It’s not like I didn’t look around. I just wasn’t really feeling a click with anyone. You didn’t hurt me. You could never hurt me, Yu-chan.”
Yuichiro averts his gaze just for a split second. He mumbles something unintelligible with his lips before meeting Mika’s gaze again.
“So no one interested you?” He asks.
Mikaela chuckles lowly. “Didn’t I just say that, idiot?”
Delicate silence stretches between them.
The game on the television screen sits forgotten.
Yuichiro seems to be pondering something.
“And…” he trains off. “Did you click with me?”
Mikaela’s heart dares start and stop all at once.
Its beats become superhuman in strength; injecting dopamine into every viable blood vessel it can.
“I did,” he murmurs.
Yuichiro presses his lips into a thin line.
He scoots a little closer—
—leans a little closer.
“And,” Yuichiro pauses, “do you still feel that click?”
Delirium threatens to tear Mikaela apart. His lips twitch with millions of possibilities playing out before him.
“I do,” he admits.
Not a sound penetrates the world they’ve created.
Hold still firm around Mikaela’s wrist, Yuichiro snakes his fingers down until their hands are interlocked. He squeezes their shared grasp, and breathes out slowly.
“And you thought,” he begins, words quiet, “that it would be better to keep your feelings to yourself?”
A crack forms in their bubble.
Reality settles heavy on Mikaela’s shoulders, and the delusion melts away into hard facts and truths.
“You don’t feel the same way.”
He pulls away from Yuichiro dejectedly, unclasping their hands.
Faster than his own sinking heart can react, Yu pushes forward, using both his hands to anchor Mika down and keep him seated close to him.
Yu comes so close, that their knees are pressing together, and the proximity of their warmth radiates into his own body.
“Don’t speak for my feelings,” he mutters haughty.
Mika’s eyes widen.
Yu’s expression suddenly becomes vulnerable. “You really up and decided how you thought I felt about my own feelings?”
He licks his lips.
The words die at his throat; they die in his brain. There’s not a single intelligent retort he can make to respond. Not anything that makes a coherent amount of sense for someone like Yu.
“You…” Mika struggles to find the words. “You didn’t give me any reason to think otherwise.”
“I didn’t think I had the right to,” Yu mumbles. “I thought staying friends was the best I was ever going to get after all that. I…”
Mika breathes in. And out.
His heart begins fluttering in his chest all over again. His cheeks flush bright red.
“...I didn’t know that you… that you still had feelings for me.”
His eyes water. He doesn’t mean them to. But he can’t help it.
“I never stopped,” Mika says.
Yu’s lips tremble.
“Never?” Yu asks.
A wet chuckle. “There was never a moment where I stopped being in love with you.”
The confession makes Mika avert his gaze in embarrassment, caught off-guard by the sudden out-pouring of his own feelings. He hadn’t meant to—hadn’t meant to lay himself so bare in front of Yu. Not for something like this.
Yu laughs, then. At first, it’s a small, breathless chuckle, before growing louder and stronger and ever bit more reassured, until Yu is covering his mouth with one hand, curling into himself and eyes shining brightly.
“Yu-chan?!” Mika asks urgently, overcoming that final barrier of distance, hands pressly deftly against Yu’s shoulders to prop him up.
Tears are streaming down his face. “I feel the same way.”
Mika’s mind almost short-circuits then.
His heart nearly gives out; his lungs nearly capsize; his muscles tremble with fatigue and strain with the urge to break their distance completely and meld into one.
The tears which he’d held back so surely stream confidently down Mika’s face now.
Hope dares bloom in a desert which deprived its land of water for centuries.
“You…”
“I feel the same way,” Yu repeats. “I never stopped loving you.”
He cups Mika’s face, fingers feeling the smooth skin, thumbing over his bottom lip.
“You were the best I ever had,” Yu says earnestly. “No one could ever come close to replacing you.”
Mika shakes a breathless, incredulous laugh, eyes crinkling into crescents of love. He overlaps his palms over Yu’s hands, keeping his touch anchored on his cheeks, unwilling and unrelenting to let go of his hold, before his hands travel down the expanse of his arms, fingers feeling the protruding of his collarbones, hands splaying against warm skin.
“I’m so glad,” Mika whispers. “I’m so, so glad.”
Yu smiles: bright and cheery and every bit beautiful. Through red cheeks and tear streaks, through tousled hair and crinkled eyes—he gives Mika the brightest smile known to man.
Mika feels honored to be its recipient.
“I love you,” Mika says.
Yu leans close. “I love you, too.”
And as the television screen flickers off into sleep-mode, as the living room becomes bathed in a comfortable silence—
Yu presses his lips firmly against Mika’s, and breathes life back into his craving soul.

Live reading OnS chapter 130!
This is basically all u need to know tho cuz they wasted pages with mikayuu again:
Tumblr media
The rest under the cut:
Tumblr media
WHATS WRONG WITH MIKA'S NECK
Tumblr media
Like I thought shikama was also having a flashback at the same time yuu were remembering. Seeing Saito feels so weird 😭 he looks so different from everyone else
Tumblr media
WHY ARE THEY BALD THERES LITERALLY NO REASON FOR THAT. EVEN BABIES ARE BORN WITH HAIR. WHY. JUST WHY.
Tumblr media
That is the ugliest crying scene I've seen. Also Saito crying felt so forced or rushed idk. His crying didnt even last more than 1 page, he's back to normal in the next panel LMAOO
Tumblr media
Ok this chapter was basically made to explain stuff from last chapter to those who didn't understand things. But I guessed these correctly already so I'm bored. Throwing away the sinful keys to all around the world was interesting tho
Tumblr media
Where the fuck did 'mika' go exactly tho.. Greece??
Tumblr media
WHY MENTION KRUL OUT OF A SUDDEN WHEN NONE OF YOU EVEN CARED ABOUT HER FOR LIKE 40 CHAPTERS LMAOOO THIS IS SO WEIRD I see this as disrecept to her actually, u forgot all about her for all this time (3 days or so in their time ig) don't u dare bring her up now
Tumblr media
Who the fuck are you
Tumblr media
My actual reaction: FERIIDDD FERID FERID FERID AHSJQHDKQJD FERIDDDDDS

CHAPTER 118 SPOILERS!!! . . . . . . My thoughts on this chapter: ✰Shikama appearing to little Yuu and telling him he'd meet a "child who'll give his life meaning" reminded me of Shikama saying basically the same thing to little Shinoa in Cat16. Which brings me to my next point... ✰If Yuu's feelings were "manipulated," like Asuramaru is saying, weren't Shinoa's also? And Guren's for Mahiru/vice versa? I'm pretty sure they were all planned to meet too 💀 Nonetheless, whether he was "meant" to love Mika or not, you can't call all they went through a fabrication… those feelings grew and developed on their own. In fact, they make more sense than Shinoa falling for Yuu so quickly and Guren and Mahiru liking each other at five. Their history is real. ✰I feel bad for the squad and their families, but at my core I'm a selfish person who cares more about Mika than the random humans who've been dead since Chapter 1. It would be interesting to see them all resurrected, though. ✰Shinoa, I really hope that this is just the heat of the moment and you actually can live without Yuu because... because yeah. ✰HOLY FRICK YUU SAYING "I've been in my right mind this whole time" AND DEVOURING ASURAMARU, NOT TO MENTION THAT HE DID IT BY SUCKING HIS BLOOD- ON ONE HAND, IT WAS PRETTY COOL, BUT ON THE OTHER… NOOOO ASURAMARU NO!!!! When he thought of Krul and apologized... I felt that... he was my fourth favorite character, y'all... I can't believe this. ✰On a brighter note, it was SO SATISFYING to hear Yuu say he's walking his own path, not Shikama's and NOT GUREN'S!! But let's be honest, this is all probably still part of someone somewhere's "plan"… ✰The way Mika was like, "You're going to do this even though it's not want I want?" yet gave Yuu his power anyway… I'm not sure how to feel. (Half of me is conflicted and the other half is fanbying over the MikaYuu I'm sorry…) ✰HOLY FRICK THAT REJECTION- was that a rejection?!? Or did she react that way because he unexpectedly wasn't going to cooperate with them? It felt like a rejection though… not sure what to make of her verbally responding, "N-No, don't say another word…" Darn Kagami and his ambiguous scenes. Still, Yuu firmly saying "I'm leaving" after Shinoa said she couldn't live without him… even if that specific scene wasn't a rejection, she's rejected. I'm sorry Shinoa. You'll live 🙏 ✰Can you believe Yuu won? Where will he go now? Is the drug still affecting him? How will Krul react to Asuramaru's death? GAH, I NEED THE NEXT CHAPTER, THIS WAS REALLY GOOD!!! (P.S. I read the raws, so the quotes I use are not official)

Random headcanon questions that may be silly or vague, but they're fun and you're welcome to answer or not:
Who are Goh, Gary, and Ash's favorite Sanrio characters
Has Ash been banned from any public places prior to the series, and if yes where
What is Ash's favorite Tales of series video game
Do you think Ash would be a Yuu fan or is Yuu too morally gray for Ash's tastes. Do you think Ash ships him and Mika
Does Goh like jelly filled donuts-
crossover event of the CENTURY i love all these questions
i think ash has main character syndrome tbh. he's a hello kitty guy (potentially just because he doesn't even know there are other sanrio characters, tbh. if he knew more, he might choose purin). gary likes cinnamoroll best but he will never admit this (if asked, he'd probably say his favourite is chococat, after vehemently denying that he likes any of them lmao). goh likes kuromi. it's the closest to truly edgy that he gets
ok i think no simply because he hasn't been to that many places outside of pallet town, but i'm thinking of how in like. elementary school we ocassionally took trips into the city to go to, like, the wave pool. and if ash's class ever did that, then they likely never were allowed to go back because of something he did like Extreme Watersliding or something. not sure what that entails but the lifeguards must've hated him
tales of hearts for sure. like yeah i'm biased but he's such an earnest, heartfelt guy. that story would Get Him. i also think he'd enjoy the battle system. he might also like symphonia and/or berseria strictly for the combo attacks tbh (but both those games' plots would make him mad. overly self-sacrificing deuteragonist hits a little too close to home for him sjdfghjfdk)
THIS IS GENUINELY THE MOST DIFFICULT QUESTION ON THIS LIST BUT ultimately i'm gonna have to say i think he'd like yuu because he'd see that, like, unceasing determination to Get Stronger as fairly admirable. he would excuse some of the not so great things yuu does in the name of getting stronger because i think he'd sympathize with yuu's position at least a bit and believe in his capacity to Grow and become a Better Person. now whether or not he ships mikayuu is a whole other Thing................he's probably one of the people that looks at them like "wow what a great friendship :)" but i can excuse him for this on account of the fact that he himself has 734567483 "great friendships" so he definitely thinks the forehead touch and bold declarations of love are just typical bro things (suddenly struck by the very surface level similarities between mikayuu and satogou actually whats up with that dhjfghfjdksfhjdksl)
[4kids dub vs tpci dub BATTLE moment] imagine your bestie introduces you to one of his first and oldest friends from his early days as a trainer, insisting you will love his jelly-filled doughnuts since you are, after all, a huge fan of them by your own admission. now imagine your surprise when this man actually hands you a rice ball
these were so fun to think about lmao, bless you <3

I don't want to come off as rude please don't take it as offense but I don't think guren is actually taken accountable, maybe by fandom on certain matter but narrative pretty much white washed most of his actions & whatever is left will be done in future I don't have any doubts about that. I'm not even saying this as his hater because I used to defend him before a lot but with how kagami is going right now I don't think ons wi have any 'good' ending because kagami makes characters do some heinous & evil things that cannot be undone but then justify it later on even if it make sense or not. As for mahiru, im not asking you to see her from different perspective if you don't like her I understand she's just too far gone as character even I feel uncomfortable with her. But consider this for a second, she don't actually have her own character, her personality revolves around guren most of time even tho she have her own traumatic past but none of it ever get mentioned let alone explored, she's just an accessory for guren so pushing most hate on her for what author is doing is kinda stupid cause no one is putting gun on his head to write that & logically speaking a person like mahiru who loves her own standing & hates when others cannot go all out like her wouldn't actually fall for someone like guren it's just author who fixated her on him so he can write gurens story. As for constant glorification of beauty, she was 16 don't you think author is very weird with how he was sexualizing a minor through narrative in every weird way possible? & why I think this needs to be talked more when addressing all those "mahiru goddess" complains is because he's really weird for that, 1st he sexualizes kids a lot be it shikama saying toddler looking mikayuu to breed, ferid's mansion having kids in very suggestive clothing in mikaela novels & kids literally r4p!ng eachother on same novels, kureto using r4p3 threats baby shinoa, sayuri & shigure just there to get stripped time to time, mitos assault end up becoming more about how much hurt guren is, & 10 yo mahiru mocking about putting seeds in her to shinya like that's not normal & mahiru isn't any exception. Take it as grain of salt but when it comes to actual criticism ons fandom tend to not talk about what's actually weird about the writing aside from bad writing & hiragi sisters getting in way by doing something dumb & irredeemable ons fans only ever address it when they're really pissed off by chapter or hit the ceiling with patience. That's it, I hope it didn't come off as offensive im sorry if it did tho.
oh don't worry, you're good! i've talked about these things before and don't really want to repeat myself again so i'm sorry if this answer is short. but yes, kagami definitely messed up with guren recently and i don't think anyone that seriously likes him on a deeper level disagrees. i'm all up for criticising him, i just think that the fandom has been beating his ass enough for the last 3 and a half years. especially now that Mx. 'I Cause Pain And Suffering To Get My Loved Ones Back Version 2.0' Doji has entered the stage and is somehow getting glorified to hell and back for it.
you guys keep making me think about mahiru please stop i don't wanna. i'm gonna be mean to her and say i think her obsession with guren mostly stems from the weird fantasy she's got going on in her head with the forbidden romance and her prince freeing her from the clutches of her family, so it could have been any guy naïve enough to fall for her brainwashing. insert "she's in love with the idea of guren, not guren himself" paragraph here. she's weird, i don't get her, i want to think about nicer things. like byakkomaru's paw pads. they're good.
perhaps you should just ask the guremxhi stans. they probably know more than me! be nice about it though.
and i've seen plenty of criticism towards the consant SA mentions and really odd descriptions of the girls - it's the first thing anyone talks about when someone asks whether or not they should read catastrophe. we're all aware of it, we all hate it, but it's useless to complain about the same thing over and over again. kissies

hi this is kind of random but. ive seen a few posts so far from people in the fandom expressing they don't like/aren't interested in mikayuu anymore and i was curious if you knew why? it's been like a long time since i was into ons (like 2018? 😭) so im pretty out of the loop and was wondering if smth crazy happened ig lol 😭
I'm more of a recent addition to the fandom (watched/read ons for the 1st time in 2021 lol) but here's what I observed I think (not sure if you've read the manga but just in case huge spoiler warning)(also I may or may not be biased against them since my favs are the vampires and shinoa squad without mikayuu lol):
- there is just too much of them. Obviously they're the main characters but ons always had a colorful cast of characters and a lot of them (mainly Shinoa squad tbh) were sidelined during the shibuya arc and basically turned into cardboard cutouts that shout "Yuu!" every few chapters. Though they did get their personalities back in ch 133, it took way too long imo.
- Mikayuu barley changed as people and their relationship stayed basically the same. Once they reunited and Mika 'joined' Shinoa squad their relationship dynamic could be boiled down to: Yuu is kinda stupid and wants to do smth bc fAmLIy or whatever, Mika disagrees, Yuu does the equivalent of puppy dog eyes, Mika begrudgingly agrees, Yuu gets what he wants with minimal consequenz. After a while it's just not interesting to have the main character constantly winning. Heck, Mika's 'death' and demon transformation barley did anything in the long run.
Like at one point, it got brought up that Mika is losing his emotions for everything except Yuu, which was a pretty interesting idea and could have brought conflict into their realtionship. But a few weeks later (in-story, took a few years irl lol) Mika gets turned into a demon, regains his emotions and the former conflict is left in the dust.
Now with Mika as a demon, he lost all of his agency. He is literally stuck to Yuu and the most he can do against him is refuse to give him power but Yuu can just force it out of him so. Pretty fucked.
After they split off from the main group post Shibuya arc, they once again have an inkling of a conflict.
For context, they split off bc Yuu had to either choose between resurrecting humanity or only Mika (at least that's how Guren phrased it). Yuu's gayass chose Mika and at first they had an argument bc Mika doesn't value his life and would rather have everyone revived at his expense. Yuu goes 'nuh-uh' and makes a run for it, devoures Asuramaru/Ashera in the process.
Once they've run off, Mika confornts Yuu and shouts at him, saying he should have a happy life with his human family instead of Mika. Yuu once again goes "nuh-uh" and decides to revive all of humanity, Mika included.
- They restate their goal, plans and whatnot too much. Ons is a monthly manga with ~35 pages per chapter. In Mikayuu centric chapters, almost half (if not all) are wasted on restating the goals they've stated LAST FUCKING CHAPTER. Maybe Kagami doesn't trust the readers memory but man, you didn't do this before, did you? Why now all of a sudden? There's plenty of plot to get through, we can reread old chapters if we forget something.
There's also way too much goofing around. Obviously down-time is needed in any action packed series but we've gotten so much random cut-ins of Yuu needing food in what are supposed to be tense moments. Also we do not need an entire chapter of them hunting, eating and talking about their plans and others plans.
-
This is all I remembered off the top of my head, anyone feel free to add more

Hello, I hope I haven't disturbed you, there is a topic that bothers me a lot, and since you are a writer yourself and have a very good analysis of how to write, I decided to ask you about it because maybe I am the one who is wrong. My question and problem is related to the current story of Seraph and its fandom. I don't know why, but I have the feeling that the author is trying to force Yu or the original Mikaela to be the hero of the story also forcing his ideals to be the right ones, in a way that questions all of its logic until now. For example, I remember during the war between Guren and Yu, when Yu forgave Guren, everyone was upset because of why he forgave him, but now, according to the title of this new chapter, which is forgiveness for everyone, the author has actually accepted that Guren, Mahiru, or Krul, for example, should forgive all the troubles Shikamaduji brought to them, and the interesting thing is that exactly the same people who had a problem with Yu's forgiveness of Guren, have now accepted it easily, and it doesn't seem to matter to them at all that Shikama made a thousand times worse disaster to Guren, Mahiru, Farid, Krul, and his friends in exchange of what they did to Yuu. Shikama brought it to them. What kind of stupid logic is this? Yu was nothing but a toy until a few chapters ago, and now he has completely changed his personality and turned into a complete genius who seems to have the right to choose for everyone. Whether Mahiru, Ferid, Guren, Krul, Shinya, Kureto, Shinoa, etc want to forgive Shikamaduji or not is not up to Yu. If God is bad in this story, Shikamadouji, who created humans and planned their whole lives from beginning to end, is not much different from God, and he is also bad because both of them performed and played exactly the same role just for different people They, Shikama and God, are two sides of the same coin so how can we just accept one is bad and the other is good? I am really tired. This story has no meaning, it's just a series of ideologies that the author is trying to forcefully feed us, and MikaYuu fans or not, it's better to say Mika fans praise it wherever it benefits them and wherever it harms them they are knocking I really don't know what to do anymore, this story doesn't feel the way it did in the beginning and it's very upsetting to me so I decided to ask you to see if I'm just overreacting or what I'm feeling is true.
Sorry for taking so long for the answer. How long has it been? I don't even remember. All the new chapters come and go every month without me remembering much.
First thank you :) I learned a lot about writing from an editor and it's always fun to project them on series.
So back to topic, you are valid anon. I also get the feeling that the story is forced - a lot. Though I don't know if I would say for me that Yuu is the problem here but he probably plays a bigger part in the current mess.
My biggest problems with the current arc are two things:
No stakes and no consequences
Events are happening without characters having a proper motivation
No stakes and no consequences
No stakes is simple, Yuu has nothing to lose. If he doesn't succeed nothing will happen or rather we don't know what will happen. So we don't care. This is the biggest issue that makes the story meaningless. There's no tension, no real goal.
Having Yuu as the main character, a guy with no brain and the naivety of a child isn't the best choice to begin with. Especially if he doesn't have a plan. So the problem with Yuu is that he doesn't have a clear goal, a plan and the story has to bend to his benefit so he won't get killed in all of this.
Events are happening without characters having a proper motivation
Second thing is that characters now do stuff for which they don't have a reason or a motivation. Characters do stuff because they have to do it. And in the end it doesn't line up. E.g. Why should Yuu now go to Saito? Why should Yuu forgive Guren at that moment? Why should anyone understand Shikama? There's no reason behind it, not even one that you can build yourself. And that feels wrong. The story had been good in the past because characters did what made sense according to their individual goals and beliefs. Now it's all over the place.
To me it's almost as if Kagami decided once how the story should go and now doesn't know anymore how to do it. How to get to the point he wanted the characters to be. And instead of reconsidering and rewriting, what you should do as an author if you notice your story don't line up anymore, he just proceeded to write events. The only thing that is narrative consistent atm are the single chapters in itself. But that's not enough to have an engaging story.
On top, the inconsistency breaks the suspension of disbelief for me. At the beginning of the story I wanted to believe that everything that was happening had a reason. And eventually I found the reasons. But now that the characters act inconsistent and not according to their motives I started to doubt everything that's happening before I get proof that it makes sense.
Considering this, it makes sense that you start to doubt the reason for the story and what it is all about. To be at least it doesn't seem that the story is heading towards forgiveness - even though it had been a bit too fluff in the past for my liking. But I at least feel that Shikama will be the last to be forgiven even though Saito felt empathy for him? Which doesn't make much sense. But Shikama is still the villain even though he has gotten a motivation and motivation isn't bad.
To sum up, for me the problem of the story isn't the forced ideology but the writing issues and that therefore the story doesn't know where it wants to go anymore. The true masterminds do nothing interesting and there's nothing the story is heading towards.
Seraph of the End had been so cool back then and it hurts me every time to see where it is now. There was no clear goal but it at least seemed as if Yuu had a chance to turn Mika back into a human. And he was a toy which wasn't bad because it was present in an interesting way.
So your feelings are right, the story became meaningless by now.
Last point the fandom, Well, yeah the Guren hate and Shikama glory in the fandom is tiring. Any mikayuu crumbs are good and everything that actually matters is not good enough. I don't know why it became like this but I have the feeling that most fans that were actually interested in the story already left the fandom. And now a lot of fans remained that are only interested in their ship. Though personally, I wouldn't want my ship if it was written badly. So I'm hoping we will slowly get some good story moments back that will actually feel genuine again because they make sense.

Shinoa's love for Yuuichirou
Alright, your favorite trashy Sanguu is back with another fucking masterpost. Let's hit it.
So, we know that Shinoa had some kind of thing for Yuuichirou in the beginning; more like a crush or perhaps an affection for him, seeing as he was her junior in the army. We all know about the situation where Yuu is about to turn into a seraph, and Shinoa stops him via. a hug or whatever. Blah blah blah, not the point. What the point is... Guren's retort to Shinoa's question. He asks Shinoa if she has fallen in love with Yuu, seeing as she was so concerned about what went on with the experiments. In turn, she becomes flustered. In my opinion, I see this as the budding of a crush... but I don't see anything Yuu has done for Shinoa that was enough to arise such feeling. Hence, why I'm so fucking confused.
Yuu deadass just went berserk because his friends were getting mauled by vampires and now she just has a thing for Yuu??? It's really confusing, but trust me... we'll get to the main focal point in just a second, just wanted to provide background on where her "feelings" started.
Let's start off with the Shikama fiasco. He possesses Shinoa, common knowledge for those who are caught up with ONS.
From what I've learned demons cannot eat any pure desires. What do I mean by this? I mean anything that's innocent and loving. Love is not enough to feed a demon. I find that any one of the 7 deadly sins, actually, seem to be a preference. [pride, greed, wrath, envy, lust, gluttony and sloth] From what I've seen, they definitely feed off of lust and greed. Why is this relevant? Shinoa begins to blush furiously and admit to it. Because, Mahiru has instructed her to do so. (I am legit going off of memory right now) Shikama Doji sees clear desire, but he can't consume it which is a sucks to suck situation.
So, is Shinoa in love with Yuuichirou? For sure. Is it well written? HELL NO! It hasn't progressed in a good and meaningful way! Seriously, there should be a reason to love someone. A crush can be physical attraction, but I find that Shinoa doesn't care about his physical body. Is it reciprocated? At this point in time, definitely not. Like, that shit is a HARD no. He done ditched her for Mika, who he had been separated from for four years (among those years, spent with our fucking favorite Ichinose Scumren.) If he is able to make such a quick choice, over SHINOA... If he's able to choose saving MIKA over SAVING THE WORLD... definitely implies romantic feelings. Heavily implies it. We already know that Mika is dead set into Yuu, but with the GureMahi parallels... they may have a bad ending, or a tragic ending similar to that of GureMahi.
In conclusion: YuuNoa is one-sided from Shinoa's end, because Yuu seems to care about Mika and Mika alone; meaning that it's probably going to be a MikaYuu ending at this point in time. RIP......
SEND ME SOME ASKS, I LOVE RANTING
And as always, have a wonderful rest of your night.

Wow, now that I know you dislike moriarty, I will not ask you about them (it's one of my fav manga series). Have you watched/read owari no seraph, case files of jeweler richard or sk8? Can I ask what do you think about each of the series ? Sorry for this random ask.
THE WOW LMAO
I've only seen the anime for Moriarty so we all know how different anime/manga can be. Manga and other source material in general is always better. It's the original, after all! But for the record the boys in that show are fucking...HELLO? GORGEOUS? And the only reason I was able to watch it all, honestly. OH YEAH ALSO THE ENDING. EVERYTHING WAS WORTH IT FOR THAT ENDING. Just saying. Moriarty might have solved dumb crimes with the absolute WORST one-liners every time he ENTERED A ROOM LIKE AN EDGELORD but that's okay. He jumped and Sherlock jumped after him. I did tear up. I don't CARE. I TEARED UP!!! I ship them but I don't enjoy any ship content I've seen of them. I see people just drawing them being goofy and/or pretty so idk what to think of them or their dynamics with each other.
I have seen Seraph and Sk8, loved them both! Seraph had a bit more drag for me, as I'm not very into magic systems and shows that focus on learning how to use them. But it was greatly overwhelmed by other tropes I loved, like the destructive power in Yuu and OF COURSE....the homoerotic vampire/human MikaYuu bond. 😁 WHAT A GREAT SCENE (YOU KNOW THE SCENE).
Okay, for Sk8 the Infinity, ZERO COMPLAINTS. WHAT A SHOW, DUDE. I hate sports but I love boys being rock hard for each other in anime sports LMFAO. What even, idk. BUT BESIDES THE HOMOSEXUALS, SK8 WAS JUST FANTASTIC IN PLOT AND PACING AS WELL. Love Langa, love the psycho villain, love the dub and sub, just...yeah. Great show. I ship Langa and Adam and also Adam and his dog *cheeses at the camera* very hot very crazy very unhealthy

I only know what's happening bc of your latest Mikayuu post, BUT EFF YEAH THAT'S HYPOCRITICAL OF THEM IF THEY DID THE SAME. And I say that as someone who doesn't read the manga and has no attachment to these characters (I don't know why I was following the Mikayuu tag, but holy carp I'm glad I did)
Hi, anon! Thank you for the ask 🫶🏻
I was genuinely confused about what post were you referring to specifically bc I haven't made a post about the manga for a year now? (and I kinda dropped it so I gotta catch up someday)
But everything about this manga is hypocritical. The narrative, the characters, the readers/fans... Everything
Not even Yuu is exempt from this and the 2 biggest examples are 1) how much he fights Mika and others to keep Mika alive (who's been ready to kick the bucket for at least a 3/4 of the story) but the moment his own life is on the line and Mika asks him, pleas him, to not throw his life away the moment he gets to, Yuu looks like a scolded child and immediately throws himself into danger (granted, you can argue Mika is being a hypocrite too but I'll get to that later)
2) there's a chapter where Yuu is asked if he's truly ready to destroy the world (or what's left of it lol) to revive the children of the orphanage he grew up in, his family, and to turn Mika a human again and Yuu answers: "I don't give a crap about the world" and 3 doritos (chapters) later, when they encounter another possessed seraph, Yuu tries to talk him out of triggering an apocalypse by talking about how humans don't deserve this ("Haven't humanity suffered enough?"). Sir, it hasn't even been a day since what you said before
While Mika has his moments of hypocrisy (mainly revolving around the point I talked about earlier and of which I could keep talking about bc I could argue he's not exactly a hypocrite about that, but it might seem like it at first glance), he's the only character who has maintained mostly consistent throughout the story (outside of the vampires who haven't changed since they were first introduced, I don't really count them). He's kept his goals, morals, flaws and virtues, which is incredibly appreciated when it comes to a story that instead of developing and letting their characters grow it changes them to fit the narrative. What I think people don't like about Mika and criticizes him for is that, despite being the second protagonist, he barely has any weight on the story (which I agree with, but haters take it a little too far sometimes). He only exists as a foil and an extension of Yuu
And I won't touch the subject of the Shinoa squad, Guren and the fans bc this will be endless lmao
