Hi, so I'm on the last of liab and in just curious why you gave all the last few oc's names like Ruth and Eve?

I assume when you mean the last few OCs you are referring to V, Ruth & Eve? (The forest lesbians?)

Well I was actually a little selfish when I named them (I know I could have stuck with traditional Avatar-world names like I did with the rest of the OCs) but I based their names & a bit of their back story after my favorite book/movie - V for Vendetta, by Alan Moore.

Kind of spoilerish below the cut?

In the book, Ruth & V (Valarie) were lesbians during a time when homosexuality was forbidden and during a “war” Ruth was taken from her home in the middle of the night. She was tortured and ended up giving her captors Val’s name right before she killed herself. Val was then imprisoned where she eventually died, just because they were homosexual.

Their story is a big part of the plot & I enjoyed the characters and their story, even if they were only alive in letters.

Eve’s name was based on Evey, who is one of the main characters of the story. I don’t wanna spoil it for you too much if you haven’t read the book, but she is pretty badass and idk, I just enjoyed her.

So yeah…. I used their names when I wrote Ruth, V & Eve.

I hope that explains why I did that lol. I know it’s not a normal thing to do in fanfiction but ehhhhhhh why not? Thanks for stopping by and asking! No one has asked me that before!

I really find it interesting how Zionists have no issues constantly using words like "Islamic" or "Islamist" or "jihadist" to describe the people they're killing without any fear of being accused of Islamophobia or that they're being bigots.

Because they know that we live in a world where anything or anyone remotely "Muslim" are automatically portrayed as inherently evil and deserving of death, especially in the US and other Western countries where Israel gets most of its support from them. So therefore, no one can be mad at them for killing all of these people, right? After all, they're only killing scary radical "Islamists" and "jihadists," NOT innocent people.

Meanwhile you would never hear any pro-Palestine people calling IDF soldiers "Jewists" or "Jewish extremists," even when they're literally branding the star of David onto Palestinians' faces and houses, instead we have to be very careful to not associate Judaism with Israel's crimes and are obligated to write a long essay about how we in fact do NOT want to kill every Jew in the world before we're allowed to show a shred of sympathy toward the thousands of Palestinian civilians being murdered as we are speaking.

Yet somehow that's not enough and they still hit us with the "when you say Zionists you actually mean Jews!" all while ignoring how they themselves aren't putting any effort into not demonizing Islam and Muslims with their words, because demonizing Islam and Muslims isn't an issue to them and the only way they can justify all the killing they're doing.

listen I expected literally Nothing from the D&D movie okay, like I can't make it clear enough that I expected the most soulless money grab with a good cgi budget imaginable, I went in having already gone through every stage of grief and landed on acceptance and LISTEN

I fucking CRIED during this dumb RPG movie. it wasn't just "not terrible" it was objectively good with a clever plot and compelling characters and sincere emotional beats. this movie loves D&D so fucking much and it NAILS the "a bunch of goobers try to be cool and accidentally discover The Power Of Friendship And Also Great Violence" classic D&D party vibe. their barbarian's last name is fucking Kilgore and my entire family cried in the theater.
