Joe is a bard. He enjoys being one, too! There's a certain joy to bringing stories to life, spreading them from place to place so others can enjoy them. His sister and him have done it since they were young, two tiny children standing on a makeshift stage.

Being a bard, though, comes with some difficulties. Joe refuses to raise his blade against somebody that has attacked him first. It's only right; every living creature has a story to tell and he dislikes putting a premature end to it. This is where his two partners come in.

He met Cleo early in his adventures, and they've stuck with him since. They still grumble the same amount about Joe putting himself in danger, but Joe catches the soft gleam in her eyes. Cleo respects him. She respects that Joe holds his morals. She just also thinks it's a good job she doesn't.

Whilst Ex was... A less reluctant tag along. He was due to be sentenced for mostly petty crimes, but his brother had been worried about him. Joe heard the story and decided Ex could come along with him and Cleo! It's always nice to have new company, and hopefully the adventure will do him good. So, they left the next morning with a new grumpy companion.

Cleo cannot believe how quickly Joe won him over. He seems to be good at that. Ex looks at the guy like he hung the stars. He's not a completely reformed character - Cleo occasionally gives him a glare that Joe doesn't see before something valuable goes missing from a market stand. But his slight of hand and ability to disappear in a crowd often comes in handy.

Joe is just happy his adventures have brought him such good company. The only downside is finding a bed big enough for the three of them.

Until the End

/ / limited life spoilers?

(im also trying my hand at creative writing for the first time in years im so sorry if its bad)

Something, something, the overall fear that festers throughout the server, in this case the literal time ticking on your life and knowing that any wrong move will push the clock hand forwards. Knowing that BigB killed Cleo out of desperation to save himself in Last Life, severing his friendship. Knowing that BigB didn’t stay with Ren in Double Life, a wariness that is harboured by every player, instilled deep within. A lesson learned. Something, something, it's a new game, and he is tired. Of loneliness, of fear, of the constant glance over your shoulder. So he chooses to be brave. He tries again.

Something, something, Pearl knew friendship in Last Life. Despite the fear, despite the desperation to live and willingness to do whatever it took, she knew friendship and it didn’t break under the pressure so heavily applied to all the tentative bonds created. She may not have won but at least Scott did and that meant something right? She died but at least she was happy, not many could say the same. And then fate tied their strings together and the world came crashing down within moments. The warmth she knew so well from Scott was ripped away, a sharp gaze and sneered explanation of where she went wrong. A single twisting tower reaching for the sky built brick by brick on the ruins of the past. Something, something, she has been lonely for far too long and its a new game.

It's Limited Life now, there’s a timer on a player's wrist and a tick tock ringing through their heads. There’s the familiar scramble for tools, resources, anything they can get their hands on that will push that clock hand just a few minutes back. Alliances are quick, deaths quicker.

Something, something, Pearl can't help but remember the past and this time she’ll do better. She makes her rounds from player to player, a friendly greeting and hesitant handshake. There's a reluctance to break herself into pieces again but there's a grim determination that accompanies that doubt. And then there's a mountain and Big B is staring down at her and there's a choice.

He holds out an offer, of allies, of friendship.

The minutes are ticking down and in the cacophony of tick tock, an agreement is struck.

So it's until the end now. Whatever that may be.

Also has a good amount of trap making supplies in her name and other resources too. She has slain her allies in order for them to not be killed by others proving her undying loyalty to them

Scar: I WANT SCAR TO WIN‼️‼️‼️🤞🤞🤞im so feral for this man i want to binge on all of his povs. Ok ok but imagine the server villain ends up winning the fight after all, bloody , bruised and a blunt sword on his hand. Have you seen how he could take down gem during session 7?? Gem wiped out etho 20+ times in hermitcraft. He’s undermined and seen as easy if you are a newcomer but watch out he can fight to his death.

HIIII KIND ANON im sorry this took so long ive been busy w school and life ya know BUT!!!!!!! i decided to actually write a little bit about each group (i'd love to have them all drawn up but unfortunately....i cannot so i hope this is okay)

putting all info under the cut!!!

B.E.S.T are a group consisting of Bdubs, Etho, Skizz and Tango. Their music can easily be described as 90s boy band sounding, with their main inspirations being NSYNC and 4town from Turning Red! Their music is upbeat, happy, and just makes you wanna dance. They’re also considered the best performers, Hermit Records’ pride and joy. And their fandom name is BESTies!

Dead Poet’s Society are a band consisting of Joe (lead singer), Cleo (bassist), Wels (violinist), Impulse (drummer) and Pearl (keyboardist). They all play characters sort of, and their band has their own lore, told in music videos and ARGS and clues hidden around in the real world. Their fandom name is Ghost Writers!

Queendom has 3 members, Lizzie, Shelby and Katherine. They’re loved by everyone, with their music having a bright, campy, bubblegum pop sound. They’re sure to bring a smile to your face, and are well known for their ability to hype up any crowd no matter what. Joel’s also their number 1 fan for obvious reasons! Their fans are also called Royals!

Secret Magic are a boy group consisting of Grian, Joel, Mumbo, Scott, Scar and Jimmy. They have an incredibly diverse discography, having songs for basically any occasion. They are also…my favorite! They bicker, they cuddle, they’re some of the top performers out there, and I love em. Their fans are called wizards!

Octagon (consisting of Doc and Ren) were actually independent artists before they got picked up by HR, and their popularity only propelled from there. They’re a rap duo, with a fierce and loud sound. Ren fans are called Cyber Dogs, Doc fans are called Rock Goats, and together they’re called the Hivemind!

Diamond Rush are a band with members Xisuma (lead vocalist), Iskall (drummer), Beef (guitarist), Jevin (keyboardist), and Keralis (bassist). Most known for their flashy appearances, their instruments are all brightly colored and holographic, with a distinct neon vibe to them, they’re easily recognizable. Their lead singer also wore a mask to conceal his face, only taking it off when they won their first award. Their fan name is Diamonds!

Swamp Girl are HR’s newest band, consisting of False (lead vocalist + guitar), Gem (bassist), and Stress (drummer). They have a deceptively soft, cottagecore look to them that’s greatly contrasted by their musical sound. Their music leans more towards the grungy, alternative style which creates for a very fun viewing experience at any of their concerts. And their fandom name is Swamplings!

If you’re thinking “you’re missing home hermits” don’t worry! every single hermit has a role in this au, some just….aren’t performers :3c

Who’s an adorable hellhound?

11:15 P.M, Friday - The Grimm Casino

Mammon’s rapturous laughter could be heard when Ayano placed her cards down. He had finally won against the luckiest person he’s ever met.

“Looks like yer luck finally ran out, eh?” Smugly, he collected the ten-thousand grim chip Ayano had bet. “Now, ya gotta walk Cerberus with the Great Mammon every mornin’ for the rest of ma punishment!”

The ravenette sighed in defeat. It was bound to happen at some point, she told herself. “Finally, after what? Me winning 50 rounds of poker? Not so impressive for a demon who’s supposedly the ultimate gambler. Plus, how bad is it walking Cerberus? Isn’t he a giant puppy?”

“Tch, only Beel woulda called ‘im a puppy. The hellhound’s twice as tall as Diavolo! An’ ya only won 43 times!” Embarrassed, the demon motioned for a waiter, ordering another glass of Hellfire Whiskey.

“What in three realms are you feeding him? Actually, I take that back, I’d rather not know. It’d be nice to spend more time with you anyhow.” Ayano grabbed her hand bag and called a waiter over to pay for her drink.

“It would? I- I mean of course ya’d like ta spend time with me. Who wouldn’t?” With a faint blush dusting his cheeks, Mammon led her out of the casino, pleased that the former mafioso had openly admitted liking spending time with him.

8 A.M, Saturday - House of Lamentation

Knock knock knock

“OI! It’s 8 A.M already, get yer ass outta bed and let’s go!” Mammon burst into Ayano’s room, annoyed, only to find the human to have seemingly disappeared into thin air.

“Hey, quit being so loud in the morning, it’s the weekend after all.” Tucking a napkin into her pocket, Ayano slipped out of bed wearing a v neck sweater, jeggings, black booties, and her signature silver necklace.

Hair swishing from a high ponytail,Ayano put on her gloves and grabbed Mammon’s hand, tugging him toward’s the door. “Well what’re you waiting for Mammon? Let’s go take Cerberus on a walk, shall we?”

Mouth agape, Mammon stood still for a few seconds, then scoffed. “Tch, pesky human. Making a demon like me wait for ya.” Begrudgingly, he let her lead him out of the House of Lamentation.

Walking in silence, Ayano admired the foliage surrounding their path, wondering what magical properties they had. Mammon, on the other hand, was staring at their intertwined hands, fully embarrassed.

“Hey Mammon? Why did you want me to help walk Cerberus anyways? I thought a powerful, strong demon like you wouldn’t need help with a chore like this. Or....did you gamble with me to spend more time with your favorite human.”

Spluttering, Mammon retorted, “Who said you were mah favorite human!?” Ayano paused her stride, and looked at him with a mischievous gleam in her eyes.

“W-wait what do ya think yer doin’ human?”

With a teasing gleam in her eyes, Ayano looped her arms around his neck from behind. “Isn’t it obvious? Showing my first demon that I care about him, of course.” Placing a quick kiss on his cheek, Ayano resumed walking to the castle like nothing happened.

Mammon stood still for a few seconds, in a trance. Realizing that Ayano had already walked ahead of him, he raced up to her. “Oi! Ya can’t just do somethin’ like that an’ walk away!”

“Do what?” Ayano innocently smiled while casting a knowing glance in his direction.

“T-that! Walkin’ up tah me and wrappin yer arms around mah neck! Kissin me on the cheek too...” Mammon looked to the side, embarrassment evident on his face.

“Aww, is someone blushing? Sorry Blackjack, but you’re too cute not to kiss~” As they reached the castle’s entrance, Ayano couldn’t help but use her favorite nickname to tease her companion.

“Damn right I’m cute. W-wait uh-” Before Mammon could make a futile attempt at regaining his pride, Barbatos opened the castle doors.

“Ah, perfect timing. Lord Diavolo was just about to call Lucifer. Tomorrow, please arrive 30 minutes prior to 8 A.M.”

Bowing, Ayano replied apologetically, “Of course Barbatos, apologies for being late. We’ll arrive on time tomorrow.”

“Perfect, here are the keys to the dungeon and an enchanted leash. Cerberus has already eaten, so he won’t try and attack you for food.” Smiling in a Sebastian-Michaelis manner, the butler proceeded to walk out to finish a task.

Spinning the keyring on her finger, Ayano took in the sheer impressiveness of the castle and it’s decor before walking down a hallway. Muttering something about an annoying butler under his breath, Mammon followed her.

Strolling through the large archways of the castle, Ayano couldn’t help but wonder if Cerberus was as intimidating and fearsome Mammon had made him out to be. Clutching the leash in one hand, she reminded herself that Mammon would make sure nothing would happen.

Mammon walked next to her, occasionally stealing a glance at her face, still thinking about the feeling of her lips on his cheek. Even though it was brief, he already has the memory seared in his mind.

After climbing down who-knows-how-many stairs, they finally reached the dungeon entrance. Twisting the skeleton key into the lock, Ayano heard a low growl emitting from the darkness.

“Well he doesn’t seem to happy,” she mused to herself.

“Of course he don’t, yer a human that smells like food after all!” Mammon retorted. “I- I was joking. I was joking!” He said in a rushed manner after seeing the slight alarm on Ayano’s face.

Pressing the marking on the wall and reciting the spell Solomon taught her, magic candles lined along the stairwell lit up. “Hey Mammon? Do you mind going first? I think Cerberus would prefer it if he saw someone he recognized before meeting me.”

Pride swelling in his chest, Mammon replied, “Of course ya’d want yer first man to protect ya!” Puffing his chest slightly, why did I write this as muffin he walked down with a spring in his step.

Rolling her eyes fondly, Ayano followed in pursuit. As they continued their descent, the growling grew louder in a crescendo. When they reached the dungeon, a chill ran down her spine as she took in the sight of the hell hound.

Suddenly, as she was just about to ask Mammon something, the hellhound lunged towards her, teeth bared. As he did this, Mammon was knocked over to the side as Ayano pressed herself against a wall. With a large metal chain holding him back, Cerberus stood mere inches from Ayano’s face as he barked at her.

Ayano closed her eyes tightly, feeling some dog spittle land on her face. Cringing internally, she made a mental note to clean her face and thank Cleo that she reminded her to receive a tetanus shot before arriving in the Devildom.

After a few moments, Cerberus stopped barking and started making...whining noises? Cautiously, Ayano wiped the dog spit off her face and opened her eyes.

What greeted her was...certainly odd in her opinion. Cerberus was looking at her like an excited puppy, starting at her with pleading eyes. “Heya Cerberus...” Slowly, Ayano extended her hand in a non-threatening manner towards him.

“WHAT’RE YA DOIN’!!??!? DON-” Mammon’s incredulous voice was cut off by Cerberus licking Ayano’s hand, practically drenching it in saliva. Giggling, Ayano attempted to pet his nose, to which the hellhound complied.

“How’re ya still alive!??!?” Mammon exclaimed.

“You wanted me to die?” Ayano shot back, mock offense gracing her features. She slowly started petting the middle of Cerberus’ three heads. The hellhound made a whining noise, nuzzling her pocket.

“Ohhhhh, so that’s what you wanted, huh?” Laughing, Ayano pulled out a napkin with a piece of Fire Boar bacon. Waving it in the air, she tossed it towards the left head, watching as it snapped it up.

As she walked closer to pet the dog, Mammon was standing on the side, a wtf are you kidding me?!?!?! expression on his face.

How in Diavolo’s name did Cerberus warm up to his human so quickly!??! He’s known the mutt for centuries and it still hates him!

“Awww! Who’s a good hellhound, you are Cerberus!” Smiling happily, Ayano started petting the right and middle heads, grasping at the soft fur. Cooing sweet nothings, Ayano nearly forgot the task at hand and grabbed the enchanted leash.

“Hey boy, Mammon and I are gonna take you on a walk now ok? Can you turn your heads and let me clasp on the collar?” Ayano asked softly, presenting it in front of him so he could sniff it.

After sniffing it, Cerberus moved his left head slightly, exposing his collar for Ayano. Snapping it on, she pulled back the leash and maneuvered it around his head.

“Good boy! Now let’s go shall we?” Looking over at Mammon, she winked and said, “Surprised much?”

“Tch! As if I’d be impressed by a human like ya anyways!” Huffing, Mammon reached out to grab her hand, only to have Cerberus snap near it. Recoiling, Mammon looked at Cerberus to see all three heads glaring and growling at him. It was clear the hellhound wanted to have all of his human partner’s attention and affection.

Poor Mammon, looks like he’ll have to find another way to spend time with Ayano.

i hesitate to put a real person here, but as for someone who had an outlook on life that i really admire, i’ll go with douglas adams, my favorite author and someone who can calm me down literally from beyond the grave so, props to him

2. If you could travel anywhere in the world, where would you go?

im not a big traveler but i would love to go to italy (with me mom bc we’re italian) or london (to do a bunch of literature nerd stuff)

3. What decorates the walls of your room?

its pretty sparse rn bc I'm lazy about decorating but I've got a bunch of fairy lights and some small art prints and such

right now I'm gonna say dark blue and gold

5. What’s on the top of your bucket list?

it’s all book related bc I'm a giant fucking nerd, but i want to read all of agatha christie’s books (so far i’ve read 20/84 of the ones i wanna read)

i don't listen to a lot of music but according to my spotify its “wasn't easy to be happy for you” by the lumineers

9. How many/what kind of pets do you have?

I've got two dogs named kendra and poh that live at my house and then a cat named cleo(patra) who lives at college with me :) they are all angels

10. Last movie you saw in theatres?

i actually hate seeing movies in theaters bc I'm baby and i WILL cry, so i avoid doing so at all costs except when absolutely necessary, but endgame was the last one i saw (fuck marvel)

any and all pasta

signal to noise by silvia morena-garcia for my fantasy lit class and then ordeal by innocence by agatha christie for fun

14. Your favourite season and three things you like about it?

winter! 1) i love the cold, 2) optimal reading weather, very cozy, and 3) it actually motivates me to do things bc when its hot i just want to stay inside (i have backwards seasonal depression where i get more depressed in the spring/summer)

the only one i can think of is this song from all those tik toks

16. (+1) If you won the lottery tomorrow, what is the first thing you would buy yourself?

i’d like to think that i would save a bunch for vet school bc that shit is expensive but i would prob buy a bunch of books to celebrate (are we sensing a theme)

spanish for sure!! i took it for like 4 yrs but none of it ever really stuck, but i think it’s such a useful language especially in america

black leggings and sneakers and a big shirt bc that’s what i wear pretty much all the time

it’s very suburban which i enjoy, like it’s super close to the city and also pretty close to my college which is nice. i’ve grown up there my whole life so I'm pretty used to it, and as someone who hates change, i like that

ya’ll i truly am so fucking boring, i don't listen to music, but i recently heard the song shotgun by george ezra and i thought that was funky so i’ve been listening to that

i sleep on my back bc i have back problems and also it’s the optimal cuddling position for cleo (she lays on my stomach/legs)
