As someone who shipped Daisy and Luigi when I was 10 and now ships Bowser and Luigi with a passion, I've decided that the Daisy/Luigi/Bowser polycule needs to be a thing. Like Luigi has two hands what's stopping them?

I also feel like Daisy and Luigi are incredibly close like they are best friends before anything so if Bowser did anything to upset Luigi then Daisy would be on the Koopa King's ass about it. Luigi would do the same for Daisy but he'd be a lot calmer about it.

I also imagine that Luigi goes to Daisy one day and is like "so I got a new boyfriend" and Daisy is like super excited for him, finds out it's Bowser, is confused at first but is like "Luigi could fix him" but like for real and ends up being really supportive of it.

Sorry I haven't been able to post a lot lately. School started up and it's been a lot of work lately. Hopefully I can update this blog again soon bc I miss working on this au quite a lot.

I haven't even shared the pokemon teams for Vash and Knives yet, so look forward to that in the future. My girlfriend was so much help with that bc I don't know a lot about pokemon strategy admittedly. I want to do little doodles of the boys with their teams for fun to compliment it.

Anyway hopefully I can get back to this soon! I'll be around still, just not producing as rapidly.

my favourite headcanon when dealing with whatever the hell mcyt’s names are is that everyone just has a fucking universe assigned string of characters (the username) which everyone knows and is what the universe calls you by, but serves no actual functional purpose by itself

in society, the username is used as the legal name because its convenient - at any given point a username is unique to one person and you can easily identify someone by username

but obviously, the username is random and as a casual name it may not work - “Grian” is a fine name but “BdoubleO100” is a nightmare to say, so people develop nicknames based off these. some people go as far to have nicknames completely divorced from their username - e.g. “Jimmy” for “SolidarityGaming”

usernames probably bring up a lot of questions. they seem random, not affected by environmental or genetic factors in any discernible way. they’re more likely to contain words - or things that are kind of like words - than a truly random string of letters. I imagine there being a lot of meaning ascribed to them - like certain numbers symbolising certain things or certain words detailing something for your future. example: people with “7” in their name are more serious (supposedly. it’s kind of equivalent to our zodiac signs. belief varies)

I like to think about all the implications of this naming system. xB off-handedly said that Joel’s username is “SmallishBeans” so he’ll only be calling him “Beans” and not “Joel”, does this imply that some people believe your nickname must be derived by your username and consider nicknames that aren’t illegitimate? what about people that want to change their username? there’d be less name changes than our world (since names aren’t family or gender related) but it’s certainly possible (as you change the username of your minecraft account), but is there a stigma against it? rejecting the very name the universe gave you? are “rare” names (such as with small character count or palindrome etc) considered lucky or unusual?

(using the term “nickname” for ease of understanding because that’s our closest equivalent but in-universe this isn’t really what they are. better term “casual name”? “nickname” implies it isn’t your real name or is a cute shortening, whilst this would definitely be considered your name, just one of two types)

i just have… thoughts.

Random collection of Death Note headcanons bc rewatching the series with brainrot is an experience

L is a trans man. This is the only reason I can ever rationalize why his name is like that bc who names their kid that? Also he is a wet cat and I'm projecting bc he has a similar body type to me. Like he's just like me fr and I want that man in my arms right now.

Trans people can only be killed using the name they identify with. Meaning deadnaming cannot kill them. I know some people say the Death Note would be transphobic but like I found no rule that indicates one way or the other and this is my headcanon so shush. People with multiple names it's like a roulette wheel you gotta be lucky on what name you write down and if it aligns with what name that person feels most fits them at the given moment.

Near is a trans woman who just doesn't realize it yet. I'm full of spite for Death Note having no women that are smart and alive by the end I'm so tired. Also I thought Near was a girl when I was a teen watching the show for the first time until I googled it and I was so disappointed so this is justice for younger me.

Mello is nonbinary and uses he/they and doesn't know how to dress half of the time like what are some of these outfits bestie? Anyway idk he's just giving off gender and young queer energy. Also gay bc Matt and Mello seem kinda gay ngl.

Rem is tragic lesbian, but let's be honest that was canon.

Basic Concept Framework

Pokemon Plants and Gunsmoke takes place in a Pokemon region primarily consisting of deserts and cities with few areas of greenery. While a variety of Pokemon are available in the region of No Mon’s Land, there are few wild grass types unless you’re on a farm or other region with flora. There are man-made bodies of water created to make some kind of water source, but lots of the region’s drinking water is imported. Some water-type Pokemon inhabit these bodies of water, so it’s difficult to get a clean drink from them. 

Entering the story is a duo of reporters investigating rumors of unethical biological experimentation on Pokemon done by a mysterious organization known as the Eye of Michael. These investigative reporters are Meryl Stryfe and Milly Thompson, two young women that have been coworkers for a few years and are inseparable friends. The two of them recently were issued some Pokemon to start their journey across No Mon’s Land to look into this story. They decided that the first place to look is the Gym Leaders of the region since they often have connections with people all over. Along the way in their investigation they will meet many odd characters that are more than what they seem, but how are they connected? It’s up to Meryl and Milly to find out!

Now for some technical things. If this AU were a game it would mostly utilize double battles where the player controls Meryl and Milly is your partner throughout a majority of the game, with some exceptions in certain areas. For example: Gym battles are one on one, during a portion of the adventure Wolfwood will be the partner in Milly’s place, Meryl may get separated from Milly and have to fight on her own or scout an area herself until the two reunite. The player can switch Pokemon parties for both Meryl and Milly with the exception of Milly’s ace Pokemon, Magnemite (who can and will evolve into a Magneton and Magnezone as the story progresses). This region would also utilize Mega Evolution but in a way that is a bit different than the games. The Pokemon that get Mega Evolutions would be the same, but they way they evolve differs strictly in a story sense and where I diverge from Pokemon canon a bit for the sake of the story. In this AU, the Eye of Michael has found a way to artificially evolve Pokemon beyond their previous limits without the need of a Mega Stone or bracelet. With this in mind, Meryl and Milly may come across Pokemon that have escaped the labs of this organization, catch them, and take better care of them than the Eye of Michael ever did. 

I shall make additional posts as needed for story beats I come up with but for now this is the basic frame of the AU without saying too much about the story. Thank you for reading!

it’s so funny going into monsterfucker spaces and seeing people argue about whether Venom is a tame monster crush or not and I think I figured out why ppl argue about it. I think there’s two separate levels to liking Venom and people just don’t specify which one they’re talking about

the first is what most people think of: you want Venom when they’re in a separate host and in their more humanoid form. they look like just a really tall guy, and you’ve got some monster traits involved but not quite as many as level two. this is the tame level.

the second level is when you want to be their host. you’re pulling an eddie brock— you’re fucking the slime that lives inside of you and cannot take on a humanoid form outside of yourself. it’s just a mass of black goop that lives in your organs and speaks to you in your head. this is why some people would consider Venom a more extreme monster crush
