has being fucking Massive and Immortality changed the alicorns’ perspective on regular ponies? I imagine they’d get more condescending and distant and stuff
You are surrounded by flies. If you pause, and look closely, you realize the flies are iridescent, with deeply colorful eyes, and beautiful wings like stained glass. It cannot see the colorful windows of your world, but you can try to describe them. But know that doing so take up the creature's precious time. Years to them is mere hours to you. In a long conversation about the stars, you and the fly share ideas and perspectives. You come away delighted with a new view on constellations and what they mean to the common folk.
The fly comes away dazzled, haunted, and halfway to the grave. What was to you a wonderful conversation was years of study, communion, and dedication on the part of the small creature. He gave up any other pursuits, he constructed his life around this cause. He lost his friends, family, and home. You lost your lunch break.
You love this creature. You love the small being that you once were. You want to talk to him again. You want to tell him of the stars, of dreams... but to speak with him twice, at least meaningfully, would take from him the rest of his life. Could you demand that from him for the sake of your own curiosity? Years passed for him already. In the time it took you to draw a breath, his childhood ended. Do you summon him again? Or do you let him go to live his life, what's left of it?
It is painful for everyone. It hurts something in your chest, it breaks the heart of a god. It wounds his family to watch him leave them behind for the sake of what? A mere whim? He had ambitions! He had a story! It's all gone now. Rewritten for your musings.
You leave him. He cries for you but he needs not a goddess. He needs to live, to turn from the sky to his fellow bugs.
That's what he is. A fly. A mere insect to you. To hold him down is to pin him through his soft center, and display his corpse as a record of his extinction.
So look away. Forget the color of his eyes, the sound of his voice, and the intelligence that stirred you to pluck him out his world and keep him in yours. There, he would be a wildflower with a cut stem. He would be beautiful, but he is so small, and so quiet. He would be just a decoration on your table; made to dance and sing for your amusement and then tossed out with the rubbish when he breaks.
You miss him. You love him. But he is a crawling worm and you are the rain. There are many others like him, but you must be careful to only speak a few words to each. Or better yet, say nothing at all. Let them fade and mix into a writhing blur without name, stories, or opinions on stars.
You are surrounded by flies.

I am once again obsessed with @skyscrapergods concept of alicorn ascension.
Just thinking about the rest of the mane six as immortal massive deities.
Applejack, goddess of orchards and agriculture, spreading good harvest of each crop as she walks, turning the seasons with her hooffalls
Fluttershy, goddess of the wild lands and animals everywhere. Wherever she steps, biomes explode into being. Her tears can heal the most grievous of wounds. Her mere presence is what drives the mating seasons of various beasts (as an act of preservation and conservation)
Pinkie Pie, goddess of mirth and joy. Where she walks there is no sadness. She also brings comfort to the grieving with soft reminders of happy memories with their loved ones, not taking their sense of loss from them but merely reminding them of the joy that causes the grief to be so profound, and in so doing, easing it.
Rainbow Dash, goddess of storms and weather. She does not walk the earth but rather the reaches of the sky. The most fickle of the goddesses, the weather changes with her mood as much as for the needs of ponies, and just like she can provide rains in a drought, she can bring storms to calm seas.
And Rarity, most unlike all the rest, goddess of gemstones and craft. She slumbers deep beneath the earth. Her dreams form veins of precious stone and metal, and her nightmares form earthquakes and cave-ins. Her spirit runs through the night, accompanying Princess Luna to provide dreams of inspiration to all those who create with their hands.
(Honestly, I'd love to make a sub-AU of your AU with your permission, credit to you ofc, skyscrapergods. I'm genuinely so obsessed with the concept.)

Shoutouts to the one time @shirecorn thought that I was going to draw an Alicorn who’s the god of mouths… I ended up drawing this… thing
You heard of the four horsemen of the apocalypse, now get prepared for the Alicorn of the apocalypse! Why does that actually sounds really good?

Drawing both to figure out my aesthetic preferences and to fight art block. This is my attempt at a Changeling as might exist in @shirecorn 's Skyscraper Gods MLP au.
Forgive me in advance for my poor paragraph separation.
The horn is shaped to collect magic rather than to channel it, and a groove runs down the sides to siphon said magic into the body to gain energy. The bodily tears are both from damage due to their lifestyle (vaguely specified by Shire, and I don't want to speculate too hard) and as camouflage among the craggy caves of home. I've also given them a smaller set of midlegs for home construction - this is also what the spinnerets are for. I imagine the Green Stuff in the canon show would be replicated best by webbing here, and in my personal version of this, Changelings pad their homes with webbing for structural integrity, comfort, and possibly to help collect and funnel ambient magic to the Queen's chamber.
EDIT!!! Two things I forgot - A, this changeling is making herself bigger as a threat display, and B, the shredding on the forelimbs also helps to catch small prey for physical sustenance, although I imagine they're capable of eating plants as well
Edit 2 their hindlegs are like that to launch themselves into flight (if they even can fly. I imagine they rely on the jump a lot more than the flying part to move quickly)

Day two! This is Lepidoptera, the Goddess of Individuality! She’s an ascended changeling, and works to help people bring out their truest selves! She isn’t super big, and probably never will be, but if she were to stretch out as much as possible, she could theoretically disguise herself as Luna during the first couple decades after her return so long as no one grabbed a really long tape measure. She has zero reason to do that though.
I’ll probably get into more detail on her later :D

do ponies ever give gifts or make sacrifices to the alicorns?
or did they use to do that and they just were like “stop it it doesn’t do anything”
Gods are powered by belief in them, and their powers are linked to what exactly those beliefs are.
The Sun was long regarded as sublime and benevolent. And she was, as long as she remembered to care about ponies. But as she towered above them, she often forgot to think about mortals while she thought about the planet as a whole, ecosystems and the heavens. Fearing they would be forgotten, the population turned to more and more desperate rituals to command her attention and favor.
Celebrations to her name did more than summon her; they gave her power. Summer sun parties, gift giving, and community feasts caused the nourishing warmth of sunlight. Hospitals erected in her name lent healing touch to the mind in the morning rays. The grander the festival, the more attention The Sun paid. You would surely be blessed with long days and beautiful sunsets as thanks for the artisans crafting stained glass windows for her churches.
Not every pony was happy with happiness. They wanted more. With greater gifts and more breathtaking rituals, surely they could turn her favor toward them and command her aid in matters of war.
The sacrifices began.
They got what they wanted, in the end. The Sun turned her attention on their alters stained with blood and pools running red.
She was not pleased with this new form of worship. She was not pleased with the powers it weaved into her feathers, with the new nature of her lifegiving light.
She smote them all.
In the reeling black of burning villages, she wondered what she had done. She could not wash their stain from her essence. Her act of wrath had cemented their violence into her very being.
Now the sunlight shriveled, it seared, it dried and droughted. To the creatures she loved so much, it caused burns and other illnesses of the flank. She had become one with fire.
The harshness of her love never faded. Society had to adapt. Agriculture now required levies and aqueducts to irrigate the fields and keep the plants from burning. Shade needed to be brought to outdoor events. Flighted ponies created blankets in the sky to give relief from the punishing radiation.
Today, all of this seems normal. Of course the sun burns, that's how it's always been. It seems like such an inevitable part of life that it's hard to remember we caused it.
But we must remember. We must remember to never go there again. We must keep our worship kind, and remember that pain is not holy. Suffering is not divine. Death begets death and fear begets fear. Do not hurt each other for the sake of your god, and do not hurt yourselves.
She doesn't like it.

The God-Avatar of Nature and Endlings! Have a very, VERY silly crossover art, specifically Black Resin and @shirecorn’s Skyscraper Gods AU. AKA have the Protagonist as an Alicorn because why not?
(Black Resin Belongs to Team Black Resin and Skyscraper Gods belong to @shirecorn)

Okay okay I know @shirecorn already drew Sunburst in his Skyscraper Gods AU, but I had this thought storm into my head and it would not leave soo I had to draw it.

(Idk why my phone camera sometimes just. doesn't pick up color very well.)
I just felt like this would go well with how Starlight felt abandoned by her only friend. How much worse it would sting if her one friend was the only other unicorn she knew who was different like her. How much they had both longed to be able to use magic someday.
Sunburst probably spent all his free time reading up on different unicorns, looking for any trace of others who were like the two of them, even researching how other species channeled their magic in hopes of inspiration. Meanwhile, Starlight wouldn't have been as patient, trying instead to run blindly into magical experiments and seeing if she could brute force herself into making spells work.
She was so sure she could make something work. Until she found herself in imminent danger of being hurt, and couldn't summon enough magic to stop it. And Sunburst didn't want to see his best friend hurt; friendship may not have become its own field of magic yet, but still, his determination sparked something within him. Well, perhaps it was that, or a sheer stroke of luck, or maybe the lingering magic of a special rainbow had scattered over to their hometown, stirring the magic of friendship into hints of being before it truly Was. Whatever it was, he was able to harness his magic in that moment, saving Starlight.
Word got out, and Sunburst's parents were thrilled that he had been able to figure out how to conduct magic. They thought that between this miracle and his extensive research, he could perhaps thrive in a special school in Canterlot and be able to make new discoveries about magic. Caught up in all the excitement, he barely had a chance to say goodbye to his one friend before he was whisked onto the train and taken away. Away from Starlight, still powerless, now heartbroken.
Even though her horn actually gave her more power, even though she found her own power, it was too late by the time she figured it out. She had nobody to share it with, and what should have been excitement quickly turned into resentment- of Sunburst, of magic, of anything that ponies believed was "special" about themselves that only tore them apart.

Pikmin headcanon: If any of the captains or castaways or rescue corps ect ect ext ever came across a human they would not immediately register that this is a person or even a beast.
They'll record in their logs like "Discovered a mysterious landmark that moves across the planes of this land like nothing I've seen before. I thought perhaps it was some form of alien transportation, but there were no riders within it, or even other creatures, when I scanned it on my radar. It has since vanished without a trace."
and it was like a normal man walking through a hiking trail.
They are not exactly incomprehensible but they are not being percieved as a people and no one's making the connections to start exploring that thought bc what kind of horrible beast could ever be THAT big. Not possible! Unbelievable! your scientific credibility is shoddy at best.
