How does it feel to be a virgin again, sir?
"It feels mighty fine and I might just keep it like that," Quaritch said that exactly as if he meant those words. "Not much for a reason to change it, I'm attracting some not-so-suitable individuals."

Idk if yall are still active but I just eagerly quit this show around early season two. I was kinda hate watching the whole way, but I started googling spoilers when I saw how fucked they were being to Lincoln and Raven (and more, but they’re my faves). Do you have any show recs that are similar with the shows “building a new civilization after tragedy” (minus the colonization and racism etc)
hey!
i actually binged the entire show recently and i can confidently say it was not as groundbreaking or cool as the showrunner believed. the first 2 seasons were incredible but it just devolved into a mess and the ending was so dark and horrifying. also the fandom was completely unhinged and did not need to act the way they did 😭
onto your question: yes!!!! battlestar galactica is what inspired me to watch the 100 in the first place. it very much shares the themes of mass tragedy, civilizational warfare, living in space, seeking a new home, and humanity fighting for survival without losing its soul. start with the 2003 miniseries (a three hour pilot) tho or it might be confusing. it also has diversity without the weird racist tones of the 100's diversity, although the cast is a lot whiter. the 100 has also obviously borrowed a lot of concepts and terms from it but i don't want to spoil you. all in all, it is one of the best shows i have ever watched and it delivers until its very last second.
lost in space is also quite cool. and i have heard good things about the expanse! another show that shares some themes (without the space element) is the society - very fascinating

Very interesting dream I already forgot most of the details of. You are encouraged to use this as a writing prompt. This was probably inspired by thinking about The Edge Chronicles and also listening to Of Monsters and Men.
But there were people who lived above the normal levels of atmosphere because they were all lighter than, well, the normal levels of atmosphere.
They were trying to escape some natural disaster that had happened to one of their floating cities, and people on the other side of the planet had offered them sanctuary, but the problem was, to get over there they had to go up out of the atmosphere entirely and into space, and then come back down.
I don't remember why this was a rule but going straight over was not an option and would get everyone killed. Possibly because of giant air predators or parasites that would attack the ship.
Well, they went up into space, but then they got grabbed by some space-whale's gravity and got pulled further away from the planet, further than their ship was designed to handle, or that their fuel could carry them back from.
Eventually the whale noticed them orbiting it, got annoyed, and left them behind inside a....hmmmmm....sentient wormhole? I think?
There were clusters of them free-floating in space and the spacewhales used them as like, scratching posts to get rid of unwanted satelites by flying through them. The whales were big enough to avoid being pulled in, but anything caught by their gravity instead got pulled into one of the wormholes.
The wormholes were sentient like I said, with each individual mouth having at least one personality each, and then they each led to a communal dimension or stomach where everything they ate was digested (not in any like, violent sense of the term, just that as the materials naturally degraded over time the wormholes absorbed them. They didn't have stomach acid or anything like that. There was actually a whole ecosystem inside them that was unique to each colony) and the nutrients shared equally among those in the colony.
Each cluster was its own colony, and by botanical terms one single individual. They needed to be within a certain distance of two other separate colonies to produce new colonies. They accomplished this by, like pawpaw (Asimina triloba) trees, forming new mouths every year, so the colony itself got bigger, so they could "reach" further and eventually have enough reach to meet another colony so they could make actual babies.
This was accomplished by depositing little reproductive-material carrier parasite things onto spacewhales so that when the spacewhale got to the next colony, the parasites would get picked up and combined with that colony's reproductive material, then dropped off on yet another whale, and then the third colony they got to would spit them out into an open area of space where they could grow and form their own new colony.
The parent colonies had to be within a certain distance of eachother for this to be successful, because otherwise the parasites would just die in space before the spacewhale got to the next partner.
Anyways. Back to the people on the airspaceship who got eaten by a colony. They were expecting, well, they weren't sure what they were expecting to find inside the colony, but they were not expecting what looked like the surface of a planet (which they'd seen with telescopes and the very rare extremely brave expedition (most of which ended violently with everyone dying) on their home planet)
Most of the interior was filled with a sea of, miraculously, water. That was inhabied by, among many other things, baby spacewhales. No, this does not imply or state that whales on Earth are baby spacewhales. It turned out the spacewhales weren't just taxi drivers for the colonies' reproduction, they also utilized the colonies as free wombs for their own babies, by dropping off fertilized packets of reproductive material when they came for their routine baths, which got eaten by the colonies, and then the baby spacewhale spent its early adolescence inside, where there was enough gravity to support its little baby structures and plenty of food.
This was relevant, because the people in the airspaceship immediately found a baby spacewhale that had gotten trapped in part of the internal ocean that was too cold for it to properly function, so it couldn't swim back to the warmer areas.
The people in the airspaceship were all just like,,,okay, that is so sad. Let's take a vote. Who wants to help the baby alien?
Eight people volunteered, and they put on their airsuits, which were not at all designed for this environment but they were all willing to take that gamble, since they'd have to figure out if they helped at all eventually if it turned out they were going to be trapped here forever, the airspaceship was lowered to right above the water, and one person jumped overboard first. To make sure it wasn't actually acid or anything.
That was me!!!
It was not acid. And the cold wasn't enough to leech through the airsuit, so I waved and let the the other seven people who'd volunteered know it was safe, so they also jumped out to join me.
I don't actually remember what the plan was. I think we were expecting the baby spacewhale to be light enough that we could push it ourselves?
Well that didn't happen.
Obviously the baby spacewhale was too heavy for people, let alone just eight people, to move by pushing.
Luckily, a bunch of dragonriders showed up! Yes, dragonriders. They riders and the dragons had evolved symbiolically alongside each other to live inside the colonies of wormholes, doing their part to keep the system of their world in balance. There were lots of predators and dangers inside the colonies that would make it hard for spacewhales to survive long enough to leave in enough numbers to be sustainable, so the dragonriders kept careful track of their populations and selectively chose the calves with the best traits, and guarded and protected them to make sure they survived to adolescence.
The ones that were weaker they left to their own devices, and hunted when they needed food.
The calf the airpeople had found was one that they were raising, so they'd come to rescue it after they realized it got pulled into the colder waters.
(They had to let the calves swim free in order to get the proper exorcise for their muscles so they'd grow properly. Normally they checked up on them every few hours, but couldn't just follow them around all day because it'd require sending teams of dragonriders constantly back and forth for breaks, since they couldn't keep up with the whales in boats, only from the air, which would be more trouble than it was worth. Each calf marked for raising could be tracked, and they'd know if it was in distress and would come to the rescue)
So the dragonriders got there, and were...well, bewildered to find a bunch of small aliens attempting to push the calf back into warmer waters, which was going exactly nowhere, and all it was accomplishing was tiring the airpeople out because they were pretty much swimming into a wall.
Luckily it was pretty obvious the airpeople were just trying to help, albeit in most useless way possible, so two of the dragonriders who could handle swimming in the cold water went down to pick up the airpeople, then went about helping the rest of the bigger ones who stayed up in the air to attach a whole complicated system of ropes and sacs of air and cushioned straps to the calf so they could safely tow it back through the water to the warmer areas.
The dragonriders returned the airpeople to their airspaceship once the calf was properly secured and moving, and then, after the airpeople explained their situation to the two dragonriders who were small enough to fit inside the ship, the dragonriders guided them back to where they lived, to get some food and supplies, and then after spending a few hours sleeping, the dragonriders showed the airpeople the way out of the colony, and also asked the colony to let the airpeople out by temporarily adjusting their equivalent of respiration so that they'd be able to throw the airspaceship out of their gravity well and back in the direction they'd come from.
Then they'd have to hope that another spacewhale would pick them up and bring them back to their planet.
One of the dragonriders offered to come with them, to try and help them get home. The airpeople were shocked that the dragonrider would be able to survive in space without a ship, and then were even more shocked when the dragonrider explained that actually, they wouldn't. It'd be a one-way trip for them, using up all their energy to get them home, then they'd die.
Normally, this was done when dragonriders wanted to establish connections within a newborn colony of wormholes (once the colony reached an age that it was safe for them to move in), with the largest dragonrider flying over, carrying supplies, eggs, infants, and two to three caretakers.
The dragonrider would expend all the energy they'd taken up during their lifetime to get from point A to point B, then would die once they got there, giving the new colony a massive boost of nutrients that would allow it to have a period of rapid growth, letting it begin taking in external nutrients at a younger age than it would have otherwise, attracting spacewhales for pest removal and reproduction.
The caretakers would raise the rider eggs and infant dragons, teaching them all the traditions of the dragonriders, and beginning the selection of the spacewhale calves whenever they began to arrive (which could begin anytime between “immediately” after the colony finished its growth cycle, to the time when the new generation of dragonriders were able to start learning how to fly).
The dragonrider knew it wouldn't be able to establish a new community on the airpeople's planet, since it was a planet and not a wormhole, but they were still willing to carry them there to make sure they got home safely.
It wasn't very often that alien people fell into a colony, so the dragonriders didn't get to meet their “neighbors” very often, but they wanted to at least have some sort of friendly contact with other people, and if the airpeople got home safely, they'd be able to tell other people about the dragonriders, and maybe more people would come to visit them.
The airpeople were hesitant to let people die on their behalf, but the dragonriders were very convincing. The airpeople decided to put it to a vote, and 9/10ths of them voted to accept the offer, because the dragonrider was volunteering, and they didn't think they'd be able to make it home if they had no choice but to hope for a passing spacewhale headed in the right direction and hoping it would somehow randomly drop them back on their planet.
So the dragonrider and the airpeople, in their airspaceship, flew out of the colony together, pointed themselves in the direction of the still-visible planet of the air people...
...and I don't know what happened next, besides that there was a fight onboard the ship at some point because someone was trying to do something that would endanger the dragonrider, because my cat meowing at me woke me up.

neteyam x fem!metkayina reader
✧ summary : a certain sully boy can't admit he's smitten by one of the daughters of the olo'eyktan, but why would he? he's calculated and discerning and she's everything he wished he was.
✧ warnings : swearing (that's pretty much it LMAO)
✧ author's note : neteyam's 15, reader is older than tsireya by a year or so, some much needed lo'ak and neteyam brotherly bonding (after the trauma inducing hellscape that was atwow), lo'ak talking like a regular teenage boy, and in honor of it being December again, may i present to you, a neteyam fic that has been rotting in my drafts since April 🤩
Tumblr media
A gravelly groan escapes your lips as your hands managed to shield your face, almost to hide yourself from the undisputable truth that you, along with your Tsireya, and your older brother Ao'nung had been roped into the evident mess that was to teach the children of Toruk Makto the ways of the Metkayina.
You weren't as prejudiced as Ao'nung, sneering at the Sully children whenever he'd run into them, so meticulously influenced by your mother's dislike towards Skypeople, let alone the Omaticaya.
You weren't as welcoming as your younger sister, who had greeted them with big grins that only further accentuated her dimples and her devout willingness to help Toruk Makto's family in any way she could. While you had resorted to mirthless smiles and polite nods whenever you'd come across one of them, it was unnatural, yes, Ao'nung was quite unfair with his treatment towards them, yes, but Tsireya's overall cheer and joviality was something you could not for the life of you reciprocate.
You were fine with them being here, although you couldn't say the same for most of your people.
The only real thorn in your side was the oldest.
Neteyam.
Oh how your blood boiled whenever you'd spot him in the crowd. Always so eager to help, so eager to please, so perfect, so good, it made you want to punch the living daylights out of him... Well, only slightly, that may be an exaggeration. Your hate for him might be particularly irrational but valid in all the worst ways.
"Can't you tell them I've been bitten by something?"
"No" Tsireya snorts.
"I've slipped collecting coconuts and dislocated my ankle"
"Stop moving so much sister, or I will mess up your hair"
It was like he was so anxious about keeping up the golden boy facade, what a show off, you thought. Going out of his way to help any way he could, helping carry baskets of dried fish across the village, pushing heavy boats off to sea, weaving baskets, seeing to the ilus, even the tsuraks at one point. It infuriated you. What did he had to gain?
If there was one thing you despised, it was try-hards.
And Neteyam Sully was the bane of your existence.
"Oh!" You had exclaimed, snapping your fingers. "You can tell them I have fallen off my ilu and got ripped apart by an akula"
Tsireya laughed. "Yes, like they would believe me"
With another scoff, you stare st your sister through the mirror, so engrossed in the braiding technique you'd requested for her to do on your hair. "I don't see why you're bringing me into your affairs sister, it is clear as day you only want to help out the Forest People because you like the way that boy kept looking at you yesterday"
Tsireya tugs at your half-finished braid, making you swear and rub at your head, bringing Tsireya some amusement out of this. "Now, be quiet, be still, let me do my job"
With a sour mood, you allow Tsireya to thread the shells you requested she put in, sitting up straighter. "Your job in being an absolute bitch?"
Tsireya sighs again, feeling her slump in frustration behind you. "Do you think it is so easy a job for me to constantly deal with your attitude?"
A smirk comes to your face as Tsireya knots your braid off. "Don't worry, all your efforts will be seen by Eywa, she might even make the boy tell you your hair looks nice today"
"Enough, Y/N" Tsireya says, standing up from her seat.
You stood as well, hooking your arm around Tsireya's as you left your pod. "Oh let me have my fun"
A dozen morbid thoughts suddenly flood Tsireya's mind. "If we do that I am afraid there will be nothing left of Awa'atlu when you are finished"
Tumblr media
When you arrive, you immediately spot both the brothers sitting on the edge of the woven platform, their long legs dangling just above the water. They looked to be so immersed in a conversation that neither of them noticed you or Tsireya approach them, only when they were about 4 feet apart was when you clicked your tongue against the roof of your mouth.
"Oh great mother, is it just the two of you?" Says you, making both the boys stand up like springs.
"No, our sisters are coming, they aren't exactly good at being early to things" says the younger one, his eyes flicking to Tsireya every now and then, making you dizzy trying to hold eye contact with the boy.
"Hey Tsireya" He finally says, nodding at her sister who laughs again. It took everything in you not to start dry-heaving in front of them.
"Why do you sound so disappointed?" Neteyam wonders, another smirk playing at his thin lips as he looks at you.
Your forehead creases. "I am nothing of the sort, what about you? What has gotten you so chipper?"
"Nothing all that special, really" He replied, not even convincing himself.
You heftily exhaled through your nose, moving away from the group and walking up on the platform, taking one of the seaweed bands on your arm to bunch your hair up just to get it out of your face. Once you'd pull your hair through the band the final time, you turned around just to see Neteyam's head turn away, almost like it was a chain reaction.
You placed your hands over the dip of your hips, facing the odd group. "Now, where has our dear brother wandered off to? It's almost noon and he is nowhere in sight"
This makes the rest of them look around for Ao'nung, even the two brothers who you'd assumed wanted nothing to do with him after your brother had showed his blatant contempt towards them after he'd ridiculed them during their arrival.
"He must still be with Rotxo and the others, we must be patient" says Tsireya.
Your mind remained closed, throwing your hands up in the air only for them to land on her hips with a thwack. "We both know Ao'nung does not move like the tide, he is too stubborn, too hard in the head " you found yourself saying, prodding a finger at your forehead.
"Patience, sister" Tsireya admonishes calmly, making her way towards you as you placed your hands on the identation of your woven skirt. "We must not rush things, we allow things to come to us at their own pace"
"Alright, alright" you tell her half-heartedly.
"Hey! Sorry, are we late?"
You turn her head to spot the two Sully sisters jogging up to the beach, the youngest out of all of them went straight for Neteyam, watching as he scooped her up with no hesitation. "Where in Eywa's name were you two?" Neteyam wonders, eyeing his sisters curiously.
The older girl rolled her eyes, pointing her chin at the youngest. "Couldn't decide on which skirt she wanted to wear"
The little girl pouts. "I didn't know which one I wanted!" She protested, her ears drooping down.
"She had two to choose from" the older sister groaned. Eyes finding yours as her grin widens, you chuckle to yourselves, having sisters was never a dull moment.
You two had bonded over that when you first helped her with her chores, although she seemed reluctant at first she accepted. Neither of you got anything done as you both found that snacking on dried seaweed and exchanging stories about your lives proved to be more fun.
"Maybe he isn't coming" says Neteyam's younger brother, subtly inching towards Tsireya while keeping everyone under the impression that he was trying to find Ao'nung just like she was, but in truth, all he wanted was to stand beside her. Tsireya didn't pick up on it at all, being the oblivious person she was, but Neteyam did, quietly chuckling to himself as he puts Tuk down, watching as she sprints towards the sand at full speed.
You shook your head at the sound of Tsireya's giggles and walks off the diving platform as well, making your way towards the beach to stretch your legs, walking along the coastline trying to kill time. That is until something tugs at your skirt, you turned around to see who it was but then looks down to see Neteyam's youngest sister, proudly holding a small conch shell in her hands, beaming up at you.
"They look just like the ones in your hair!" She exclaimed, a gigantic grin spreading across her face as you crouched to her level, taking the shell from her hands to study it. "It's a light purple, you don't have any purple shells yet"
"You're right, I don't have any purple shells in my hair yet do I?" You say in genuine amazement, holding it up against the sun, feeling the little girl scoot closer to you, but the shell had suddenly started to sprout 6 legs and you dropped it, startled by the animal and by the little girl's scream, you watch as it scurries back into the water, gone forever.
You turned back to the little girl who was visibly upset, another frown slowly forming on her face before you placed your hands on the little girl's shoulders. "Hey, we'll find another one around here somewhere, don't be upset"
She huffed, her shoulders rising and falling. "I didn't know there was something inside it, I really didn't"
You shook your head. "Neither did I, we both didn't know" you assured the younger girl, cupping her round face as her frown slowly started to shift into a smile. "Look, if we need to do this properly and find shells for my hair, I'm gunna need to know your name"
"Tuk!" She says. "My name's Tuk!"
"It's very nice to meet you Tuk"
"Really?" She giggled as you nodded. "What about you? What's your name?"
You beckoned her closer with a simple gesture of your fingers as you whispered your name into her ear.
"You've got a very pretty name" Tuk whispers as well, hiding her face behind her hands as she giggled.
"So do you" You had whispered all the same.
Tuk then looks back at the diving platform, and then back at you. "Y'know I think my brother is staring at you"
"Oh yeah? Why do you think that is so?"
The little girl scratches her head. "I don't know, he only stares at things he thinks looks nice or looks weird"
You grinned. "Does your brother think I look nice or weird?"
Tuk blinks. "I don't think you look weird"
"Would he think that?" Ka'leia emphasized.
"Probably" Tuk replies honestly, looking back at the diving platform again. "Why else does he keep staring at you?"
It made you think, it made your mind spiral into the bottomless void of memories in which you had caught a pair of warm amber eyes catch yours, and every time you did it made your heart stutter, however unfortunate it may be. "I'm not so sure either"
"Neteyam's weird" Tuk deduced.
You snort. "Yeah, he's weird"
Silence settles between you, but not for long as Tuk takes your hand and pulls you up. "Can we go and find shells now? Then we can put them in your hair! Then you'll look pretty!"
"Am I not pretty now?"
"No, not really" says Tuk, swinging your interlocked arms back and forth as her wide eyes scanned the sand.
"No?" You wonder almost scandalised, "alright " you nod.
You and Tuk spent a good couple of minutes digging holes on the beach to fish out the shells that had been buried underneath the sand, conch shells, shards of shells, fossils, rocks, bits and pieces of coral, if it was pretty enough for Tuk's standards she's adding it to her pile.
5 minutes later you're following her around with an armful of tiny shells, half the beach full of holes from Tuk and her makeshift shovel that had originally been a branch, with her screaming in delight when she's spotted another one, hurriedly running to you to add it in with the rest.
Lo'ak abruptly places his hands on Neteyam's shoulders, purposefully trying to scare him but Neteyam does not flinch at all. "Yo bro, you got a staring problem or something?" He wonders in English, stepping beside Neteyam to look out into the beach too.
"You done flirting with Tsireya?" Neteyam shot back.
Lo'ak huffed. "Pfft, me? Tsireya?"
"I know your tell, your tail's a dead giveaway"
Lo'ak laughs, punching Neteyam's shoulder, finally making the older boy turn to face him. "Yo! Shut your ass up!"
Neteyam chuckles. "No one else here understands English bro, we're fine!"
Lo'ak shook his head. "I'm not worried about the Metkayina, I'm worried about that devil right there" He says, pointing at the beach.
Neteyam looks at the direction where Lo'ak was pointing. "Who? Tuk?
"She's got spot on hearing, incredible memory," Lo'ak listed. "If I'd have known how much of a tattletail she'd be I'd have abandoned her in the forest when she was a baby"
Neteyam frowns, laughing. "Yes, and when I'd get home I'd find your extra finger in my stew"
Lo'ak grimaces, almost gagging as Neteyam wiggles one of his fingers at him. "Disgusting!"
Neteyam cackles loudly, watching as Lo'ak covered his mouth. "You're overreacting!" He tells him.
"Nah bro, you don't get to fill my mind with those kinda thoughts" Lo'ak says.
Neteyam places a hand on his back. "Face it baby bro, i'm in your head"
Lo'ak pushes it away, chuckling. "Lay off!"
"Will you two ever go a day without fighting eachother?" Kiri asks, giving them a look.
"Not sure" says Lo'ak. "But I wouldn't hold my breath"
Kiri rolled her eyes and Lo'ak turns to Neteyam again. "If Ao'nung isn't coming then we might as well fetch him, if you catch my drift"
Neteyam shakes his head, his braids swishing from side to side. "No, we will do no such thing"
Lo'ak half shrugs, already moving away. "Fine, if you won't then I will"
Neteyam grabs his arm, stopping his brother in his tracks. "Hey, what did dad say?"
He pretends to think. "Not sure, something about you being the next poster boy of the clan?"
Neteyam flicks a finger on Lo'ak's forehead, making the younger boy hiss. "No, you skxawng, he wants us to be on our best behavior, and I don't want to be stopping you from pulling another shitty stunt that'll get you in trouble"
"Fine" Lo'ak says. "I'll go check up on Tuk," He tells Neteyam unconvincingly, scratching the side of his head. "What's up with you and wanting to stay on the beach?"
Neteyam's jaw tightens. "There's nothing that's keeping me here except my promise to dad"
"Uh-huh" Lo'ak nods, eyes flicking to you and Tuk. "Nothing or no one?"
"I don't know what you're talking about"
Lo'ak frowns, pretending he understood. "She's pretty hot"
Neteyam pays him no mind, only scoffing.
"She still avoiding you?" Lo'ak asks, crossing his arms over his chest.
"Yes, and I can't seem to find the reason why" Neteyam huffed.
Lo'ak snickers. "Maybe it's cuz you're coming off a little too strong"
"I don't know how else I can get her to talk to me without her insulting every fibre of my being or making up some excuse to leave, I've tried everything" He replies desperately, causing Lo'ak's eyes to go wide, a whistle leaving his mouth. "Damn that bad??? What the hell did you do to her to make you hate her this much?"
Neteyam rakes his face with dread. "I don't know baby bro, but you have no idea what I would do to find out the reason why"
His brother was too down-bad to be saved, Lo'ak knew that much, looking across the beach as he studies you with his little sister. Neteyam looks at his brother, his eyes seemingly trained on you as it flicks up and down, he slaps his brother's arm. "It's rude to stare"
"Yeah, go tell that to them" Says Lo'ak, pointing at a handful of Metkayin boys passing by, giving you stolen glances as they talked amongst themselves, chuckling and hooting.
Neteyam's eyes narrow into slits. "They're irrelevant, we must not let ourselves become like them"
Lo'ak glances at him, clearly unconvinced. "Yeah, okay, so stop looking"
"Fine, I won't" Neteyam replies quickly, watching Lo'ak turn around and walk to the edge of the platform. But he dosen't stop looking, he hated himself for it for it and the way that it was practically eating himself alive.
Wasn't it such a simple task? To turn his head around and look somewhere else? Well it should be, but Neteyam couldn't bring himself to pry his eyes away from you, you, oh Eywa. Your eyes were the colour of the sea, your hair shiny and black, your smile making his stomach twist itself into knots, your laugh making shivers run up his back, the way you dressed alone would make people turn heads, but your attitude was what drew Neteyam in.
You didn't feel the need to keep up this respectful facade, treat him like a guest because it was expected of you as the daughter of the Olo'eyktan, no, you treated him the way you thought of him.
You were rude, you were impolite, and you were blunt, because you didn't like him. You didn't feel inclined to tolerate him just like what was expected of you. He wished he was that brave.
"'Teyam! 'Teyam look what I got!" Tuk squealed as the pair of you walked up the diving platform carrying mountains of shells on your palms. "Y/N told me she and 'Reya could put these in my hair after diving lessons! Isn't that cool?!?"
"Oh Tuk, you didn't force her into braiding your hair did you?"
Tuk looks back at you for moral support. "But she said she would-"
"-Neteyam let her be, if she wants me to braid her hair then I'd be happy to" you had jumped in, siding with Tuk whose ears flicked upwards at her statement. "I hope it isn't too infuriating that I favour your sisters over you"
Neteyam wanted to scoff, but instead stifles it with a tight smile. "Nonsense, my sisters have that effect on everyone" He tells her, looking at Tuk. "Don't you?"
Tuk simply gives him a giggle, a swift nod, and then runs to Kiri, shouting her name over and over again before the older girl groans in acknowledgement. "Here," you say, handing him a conch shell with yellow and brown patterns ruminating on its surface.
"What's this for?" He wonders.
"Your sister practically dug up the entire beach, you deserve at least one" you chuckled.
Oh. He stares at the shell in your hands, then looks back at your face. "If I take this does this mean we'll be friends?" He asks, a sly smile breaking on his face.
"Oh you wish" You reply, smirking as you narrow your eyss at the boy. "Taking this won't change anything"
"Yes it does," He replies as a matter of factly. "this is the longest conversation we've ever had without you leaving or insulting me"
"No it dosen't" You shook your head, insistent. "I'll still hate you after this"
He hums. "I think I can live with that," He smiled. "I did get a gift from the daughter of the Olo'eyktan after all" He laughs when he hears you scoff.
You leave right after he takes it and right before he could say thank you. Walking off to find a basket to store more of Tuk's shells in.
Neteyam looks at the shell in his hands, about 2 and a half inches long, smooth, shiny, perfect, it was perfect. He loves it. He closes his fist, a smile breaking on his face before he could even relent it, a light purple tinting his cheeks as he places the shell in one of his pockets.

You had been alone in the woods all day. Patrolling, making sure that the humans don't come near the territory that you and the others were located at. It was boring, nothing happened. You had been up since as early even before the sun peaked out of the horizon. The boredom was killing you. After walking for a while, you decided to just sit down under a tree. Once down, you placed your bows and quiver filled with arrows a side. Slightly slumping your back against the tree, closing your eyes to have a moment of thought. A lot has happened ever since you were woken up from your long time in cryosleep. You've learned the truth about where you had originally come from and where your true clan was from. But also meeting other people and na'vi who decided to join forces and fight against the Skypeople. There was a lot to unpack.
In all honesty, you were honestly happy to have a moment to your self. Back at base, due to it being a certain size. You had to share a bunk with others. You were used to it, since back at the school, you'd share a bunk with the others. There was little to no privacy, unless you were in the river, bathing. This was somewhat of a break in a way, being away from everyone and alone with your thoughts. It felt relaxing. But also felt like it wasn't really enough. You wanted to do more than just sitting down on the tree. As much as you liked being on your own at the moment, you couldn't help but want to do something you haven't done after a while.
It was a bit embarrassing, being out in the woods. But yet, you wished to do it. So then, you laid your back onto the tree and spread your legs apart a bit more. As well as bending them back, bring your legs close to your thighs. You slipped your hand down, past the band of your loincloth. Taking a deep breath to ease your slight nervousness. There was no going back now. With the used both your pointer and middle finger, you slowly pressed down onto your clit and began to rub slow circles. Making you slightly jolt and sigh. It's been a while since you've done this. It felt as good as the first time that you began to do this sort of thing. "Oh.." you let out a small breath, closing your eyes. As your fingers continued to work their magic. You felt your body beginning to heat up. Slightly your breathing began to heavy itself. Your chest was rapidly rising up and down at a quick pace. "Ah!.." you moaned, then you covered your mouth with your free hand. As you continued to rub now tight circles against your throbbing clit.
Slightly you bit your pointer finger as you continued to move your fingers at a slow motion and firm motion. You felt sweat beginning to build up in the back of your knees. The sweat rolled down your the back of your thighs. You let out a loud and breathy thigh, as you continued to bite onto your finger a bit more rougher. This felt so great, you've missed doing this. You felt your walls clenching around nothing and how the wetness that had developed began to roll down pass your needy hole. You felt as if it was time to pernitrate your fingers. But before you could, you decided to give yourself another few rubs, just to get you slightly more wetter. You were too focused in your own fuzzy mind, that you didn't even hear or smelled the person who had approached you. "What do we have here." A very deep and masculine voice had made you snap back to reality. Oh no, it was non other then So'lek.
You opened your eyes, seen how he was casually just standing there. Looking down at you. This was humiliating. You had been caught, by the man who've you had grown a crush on ever since you saw him. Touching yourself in the open woods. You knew that you shouldn't have done that. "S-So'lek!" That's all you could say. Before you could get up and take your hand out of your loincloth, you were stopped. "Please, don't let my presence stop you. Do continue." He simply said, while also eyeing you. Your face felt hot, your tail slightly tapping against the grass. Not only that, but he was eyeing you, with interest. You saw how his pupils dilated and how his tail swayed side to side. "You...you want me to keep... touching myself?" you asked him, nervously. All most to nervous to say the words. "Yes..~" So'lek responded, with a slight purr and growl. You saw how he bit his bottom lip and his lip growing in a small smirk. Did he... like what he was seeing?
Both you and So'lek locked eyes with one another, you then continued to rub circles against your clit. Making you let out a small and quiet moan, as you moved your fingers slightly faster and adding more pressure onto your clit. "Come on yawne, take off the loincloth. I'd like to see more." He purred, as he watched. With your free hand, you began to untie your loincloth, almost quickly to get rid of the small weaved prison. Once the loincloth was untied, you pealed it off. Exposing yourself to him more. So'lek couldn't help but stare. He got a better view of all your glory. A got a better glimpse of your thighs, strong thighs and not to mention what was between them. Your whole cunt was at full view. It was almost a work of art, he couldn't help but feel his mouth nearly water and the erection on his loincloth didn't go unnoticed. As much as he wanted to pounce at you, he kept his composure. Well, almost.
You saw how he quickly got rid of his loincloth and even his vest, he stood naked in front of you. His cock was fully erect, hard and pulsing. A small bead of pre-cum already peaking out. "Come on, take off the vest.." He growled, nearly demanding. So you did. You took off your vest. The sight of your now visible breasts made him almost go feral. The roundness and softness of your flesh, along with your pink erect nipples was what did it. He wanted nothing more than you just breed you. He wanted to allow his instincts to kick in. But he had to take it slow or did he. Without a moment, he moved quickly towards you. Literally pouncing at your feet. He then grabbed your ankles and pulled them down towards him, making you slightly squeal by the sudden action. You felt how the bark of the tree slightly scratched your back and how the grass slightly stabbed at your back. Now you were underneath So'lek, looking at one another eye to eye. You didn't have to exchange words, it only took one look. Without a doubt, he leaned down and captured your lips with his.
Quickly, you wrapped your arms around his shoulders, holding onto him as if your life depended on it. Not to mention, how he was kissing as if he was a wild animal. His tongue was rubbing against yours and his lips sucking onto yours. As you both kissed, you felt his hands roaming all over your naked torso. His hands roamed around your rib cage and now they were pawing at your breasts. You let out a small moan, feeling how his long fingers groped and slightly clawed at your flesh. As well as rolling your nipples between his fingers. So'lek has gone feral. Nearly out of control. You felt how one of his hands then abandoned your breast, slowly bringing it down past your stomach and into your cunt. He began giving your throbbing clit a few rubs, making your body jolt and causing you to moan in the kiss. After a few rubs, he plunged his pointer and middle finger inside your gapping hole.
"Hah!" you squealed, as you pulled away from his mouth to moan freely. You shut your eyes tightly, feeling how his long fingers were stretching you out. He then leaned over the side of your face, giving you a few kisses to ease you a bit. As he continued to finger you. Slowly, as if he knew what he was doing. "Is this what you do when you're out in the woods? Touch yourself while no one is looking?" he asked, as he kissed you near you ear. His voice, it made your wall squeeze around his fingers. This did not go unnoticed. "Oh? You like it when I talk to you like this?" He asked, as the movement of his fingers got slightly faster, making you let out a small moan. "So tell me, have you ever been intimate with someone? Lke this?" He asked, as he continued to move his fingers in and out, slowly. He waited for an answer, but you didn't say anything yet. He then moved his fingers a bit more faster, hitting you right on that delicious spot. This made you gasp and body quiver. "N-No!" you choked out. Your spit nearly getting caught up in your throat. So'lek leaned up to your ear. "I'd be honored to be your first." He purred. "Would you like that?" he asked, with a small growl. Without hesitation, you answered with a nod. "Yes." You moaned. "That's all I needed to hear." So'lek responded, while taking the tip of your ear in between his teeth, giving it a small bite and tug. This made you purr and your tail brush against the soft grass. Making you even more excited. As much as he wanted to finger you all day, he wanted more.
In a swift motion, he pulled his fingers out. Making you whine by the absence of them. Quickly, he moved himself to be in a better position, but also moved your legs up and pushed them back. Towards your chest, then he moved himself on top of you, properly. He then grabbed his cock, pointing it towards yours needy hole. In a slow motion, he slowly pushed himself inside you. Both you and him let out a loud moan, specially you. This was your very first time and everything was brand new. You felt how his cock stretched you out, it was a burning yet, delicious feeling. As painful as it felt, you weren't focused on the pain. So'lek remained still, allowing you to adjust to his size. You laid underneath him, breathing heavily and sweat building up around your body. Your arms had moved down, wrapped around his waist and your nails slightly digging onto his flesh. Leaving some marks that'll be visible later. "Are you alright? If we need to stop, we can stop." So'lek said, a caring was while moving a small piece of your hair away from your cheek. He was so loving and caring. Ever since he'd given you your own songcord, that he had made for you. You wanted to be with him for sure.
"No please..." you purred, while looking back at him. Your face was a dark shade of purple and your eyes became glossier. "I want this.." you said, hoping that he didn't pull away from you. So'lek couldn't help but feel his heart strings being pulled. He was so in love with you, from the moment he had set eyes on you. He wished to make you his mate, after this, he was sure that you and him would be together for life. He then leaned down, capturing your lips again. But this time, it was slow. You and him kissed, slowly and passionately. This made the butterflies in your stomach flatter even more than it already was. At the same time that you both kissed, he began to slow slowly. Making you let out a small gasp as you kissed, you slightly dug your nails onto his flesh more. You felt your body have a small kind of electricity flow through it.
So'lek then pulled away from the kiss, leaning his forehead against the side of your head. Your eyes were close shut, feeling how slow and gentle thrust was too good to be true. You thought as if you were dreaming like many times before. Except, this was no dream, this was real. "You're enjoying yourself yawne?" He asked, nearly out of breath as he continued to thrust into you slowly. "Y-Yes.." you responded back, your voice was also out of breath as well as shaky. "You have.." he continued, but he'd pause to take a breath. "No idea how badly..." He moaned, as he kept on thrusting. "I wanted us to.." he groaned, closing his eyes tightly. The way your tight walls clenched around him, was making him nearly loose all control. "Be like this!" He hissed, biting hit bottom lip hard. In a moment, his pace quicken. He was now going fast, slamming into you. Hitting your every spot. Making you moan as loud as you did.
Slowly, your nails dragged down his back. Scratching him. The feeling of his cock slamming into you was too much. You felt your body quiver and shake violently. You couldn't help but throw your head back, exposing your neck to him more. Without hesitation, So'lek's lips found your craned neck, kissing it softly and giving it a few small bites. Making your breath quicken and moans to get louder. "I've longed for a mate.." he growled against your skin, kissing up your neck up to your ear. His thrusts getting more harsh and aggressive. At this point, he was just drilling into you without mercy. "You're the perfect mate! My wife..." He growled. "The mother! Of my children!" He yelled out, as he slammed into you more. "So'lek!" You screamed, causing some birds to fly away from the trees and into the sky. Not only that, but you had suddenly came, but you came hard. You've never felt this way until now, you nearly passed out and were seen stars. Not only that, but you then felt how So'lek had cum as well. You felt him pumping you up full. It felt like too much, you could feel it leaking out of you.
You both laid there, out of breath and drenched in sweat. Your body was slight sore, specially your legs since they were pressed up against your chest and laid flat on So'lek's shoulders. As much as you wanted to move your legs, you couldn't. So'lek still laid on top of you, as if he was keeping your there. "How are you feeling?" He asked you. As he processed to move the hair, that had been now sticking onto your skin due to the sweat, away from your face. "Yeah.." you responded, letting out a small chuckle, while you kept on breathing heavily. Still trying to process all of what's happened. It felt a bit awkward, just laying underneath So'lek. "What should we do now?" You asked him, while looking up at him. "Hm, we can do all sorts of things. We can simply lie here together or head back to camp." He listed, but you had to ask, about earlier.
"The thing you said... about being mates... was that true?" You asked. Then So'lek, removed himself off you. Allowing you to move your legs back down, moaning slightly by the stretching of your muscle and sitting up properly. "What is I were to tell you that it were true?" He asked you, while looking at you in the eyes. His confession almost caught you off guard. "You... you wish to mate with me? But, I'm not really.. you know." You tried to explain, but you didn't need to explain any further. "That doesn't matter to me." He said, while placing both hands in your cheeks, leaning closer to you. "I want you and I know you want me." He claimed. Your eyes widen a bit, by his sudden change in attitude. "What? You think I haven't noticed the way you'd look at me? As well as your arousal?" He asked, jabbing at me. So he did notice. "You knew?" You asked, shyly. "Of course I did. You may have thought I didn't, but I did." He explained. With a small smirk appearing across his lips.
"Sorry, it's just. I didn't think, you'd share the same feelings as I did." You said, licking your bottom lip a bit. "Well, you thought wrong." He simply said, before he leaned in again and captured your lips. Kissing you again as before. You didn't hesitate to kiss him back. As well as wrapping your arms around his neck, maybe you could go again and commit tsaheylu. Except, the kiss was cut short by So'lek. "We should head back now, before they come searching for us. I wouldn't want the others to see you like this." He explained, with a playful smirk. Making you blush and slightly chuckle. "Right." You simply responded, then you began to get dressed again. When you were finished getting dressed, you turned to see So'lek's back facing you. Right there and then, you saw the scratch marks you've left on his back. Three scratches on each side on his back. "Oh no... what they see those." You asked, now getting worried about what the others may say and notice. "Let them, besides, half of the time I wear the vest and if they see them. It's none of their business." He explained, as he began to slip his vest back on.
All you could do was nod in response. Your face slightly purple. Then So'lek turned and looked at you, then he couldn't help but smirk. You caught on. "What is it?" You asked, as you fixed your hair a bit. He chuckled. "Nothing." He simply said. "Just make sure you hide the bite marks on your neck." He said, making your eyes widen. You then touched around your neck, feeling the slight teeth marks on your neck. That was bad, but no worry. You could always hide the bitemark from your neck with the necklace given to you. Right?

Having one mate was enough for a Na’vi, they did not need another to deal with or weigh them down. It was a huge commitment and for most, a waste of time. More than one significant other was a rare case these days anyway, usually only reserved for Na’vi of a higher ranking, like an Olo’eyktan or Tsahìk.
Jake didn’t know that the Na’vi can bond with more than one at a time until Grace brought it to his attention one day, “Na’vi will mate with only one other person for their whole life, unless duty brings them to marry another” she stated, smoking a cigarette haphazardly in the lab room, eyeing the man who sat uninterested in his wheelchair.
Mating. Jake thought it sounded primal, animalistic, something the creatures back on Earth used to do just to get a quick fuck. But when Neytiri brought it up and he finally experienced it himself, it could only be described as sublime. He’s never felt such feelings, emotions. You share them with your partner in such a deep level it left him feeling breathless.
Following their mating the skypeople attacked and cut down the Tree of Voices, severing one of their main connections to their ancestors. That’s when he realised it was time for war. Several clans joined the mighty Toruk Makto to fight for Pandora, when he called they answered. But the battle was bloody, long and gruelling, they all lost brothers and sisters that day. But at least now they will find peace in Eywa’s warm embrace.
The Great Sorrow then became something of the past and the Omaticaya were relocated to an area by Hellsgate, the humans and Na’vi finally living in harmony but not peace, a lot preferring to still shun the aliens away from their home.
But the forest provided tall trees to cover them from predators and plenty of abundance, humans will also be with their technology inside an environment they can thrive in, so each side wins. Jake had finally been anointed as Olo’eyktan with Neytiri being his tsakarem, the couple couldn’t be more happier with the way things have become, fully believing the skypeople will not return.
But happiness must soon come to an end.
Tumblr media
“Ma sa’nok! Why?! Why must we be mated to her?! She is useless!” Neytiri yelled angrily at her mother, the Tsahìk, she has just been told her mother has been seeing visions in her sleep and suspected Eywa was trying to tell her something. This ‘something’ was about her child’s third mate, which she did not anticipate.
“All of our roles play an important part here daughter” Mo’at glared, has she taught her child no less? “your new wife will be a good edition to your family and therefore the clan. It must be done, Eywa has spoken”
Neytiri did not understand, her and Jake were happy together. Alone. They did not need another person to ruin the balance of their life. She turned around sharply to her husband who was sat on the ground by the tree of souls, urging him to make an opinion on the matter with a glare. Jake coughed.
“I agree Mo’at. We are fine together just as it is”
“This is not your decision to make Jake Sully. The great mother will not be happy, she has done this for a reason and we must trust her judgement. She has shown me what will happen if this does not happen, you and your family will fall under a great despair, it will disrupt all we have made” Jake’s ears perked up, alarmed, ‘what does she mean a great despair’. As his thoughts started to turmoil Neytiri continued to talk to her mother, coming to an understanding that it was the way of life. She cannot disregard Eywa’s wishes.
With a huff she walked towards Jake and pulled him up by the arm with no effort, eyes a glare and ears pinned to her head. She walked away and towards her new ikran, ready to get back to camp. “So.. do you know who we’re supposed to mate?”
“Srane”
“Are you gonna tell me?” They flew into the air, Bob screeching as they went above the trees, staying low to the forest. Neytiri didn’t answer his question and stayed silent, shit. He was just a man, a man who knows when NOT to anger a woman, especially one like her. He decided to not take it any further.
Arriving back to Hellsgate they dismounted and landed onto the floor, Jake greeting the humans who passed by them, taking samples from the nature. Neytiri walked up to where the food was being prepared, a group of woman sat by some small children who they looked after while parents were away doing chores. She grabbed one of ladies by the arm and dragged her towards Jake who only stared in confusion. Soon morphing into realisation.
“Introduce yourself” The warrior exclaimed harshly. Knowing that Mo’at has already told her of the plans, she knew going to her daughter first would cause another war and the elder planned to avoid it. So telling the new mate first was the best option for everyone.
“___ te Syakx Hìfey’ite” the woman’s ears lowered to her head and she faced the ground. The pain in her arm where Neytiri gripped was hard, sure to bruise. “I am a gatherer, a healer. I do not hunt like you or -“ Neytiri squeezed her arm to silence her, having enough of her talking.
They were close in age, both eighteen years old and fully grown adults. They both attended Grace’s school together growing up, they were close. ___ was closer with Neytiri’s sister though, Sylwanin. When she died, the younger sister blamed everything on the other girl. Cursing her out and they never talked again until now.
___ was nervous, she knew she had to mate with them, both of them. She knew that the other woman was angry at her still, even after two years. She could not blame her for the grief of her sibling. But over something she did not do? She was not at fault here.
“Nice to meet you” Jake said curtly, not really wanting to talk any further. He did not like the idea of a second mate either, even on Earth it was extremely taboo so he felt awkward on the matter. Neytiri let go of her arm and dragged Jake off, presumably to talk about anything but the ceremony that is supposed to be held later today. Announcing the decisions their Tsahìk has made to the clan, surely they would all be most pleased. ___ could not say the same towards the couple who walked off.
One part of her thought that they just wanted to be alone for a while, being more recently mated and being thrown into another relationship was confusing and disrupting, she understood that. But the more rational part knew that while Neytiri continued to dislike her, she knew their life together would be filled with nothing but pain and suffering. But she would put on a brave face. For her own sake and the clans. Eywa has spoken.
But is what Eywa saying right?
Tumblr media
She was correct, the clan was most happy. Despite some whisperings here and there, they would have to agree that they would all make a good trio. ___ was a good healer, she was gifted with her skills. She was also good to the elderly and children, always happy with a smile on her face. Neytiri was a good huntress and a Tsahìk in training, her battle abilities are most adored on. Jake, he was their Toruk Makto, Rider of Last Shadow. He was well respected in that alone.
But while the Omaticaya was happy, she was not. Sat next to Jake on his left she was left to eat in silence as him and Neytiri conversed without her. Not even looking in her direction once. She figured that they would not talk to her all through the night and decided to make peace with herself.
A little girl tapped her shoulder and ___ turned around to face one of the children she often looked after, Sray. “You are going to be mated to them?” she looked at her Olo’eyktan and his wife, yellow eyes wide.
___ nodded and forced a smile on her face “Yes, Sray. I will be” she stated softly, not comfortable with saying the revelation out loud.
Suddenly Sray sniffed, doe eyes watering “does that mean you will not have time for us anymore? Please sa’nu! I do not want you to leave!” the sweet girl jumped in the adults arms and clung to her chest, fearing that if she let go, ___ will disappear.
“Ma ‘evi, I will always have time for you and everyone else, just because I will be mated, does not mean I will not see you ever again” ___ kissed Sray’s head, wiping her little tears and grinning. Bringing comfort to the girl, Sray smiled back, still sniffling.
“LeNa’vi! Fìtxon awnga fpe’ pxefo mìso!” the people cheered, raising their drinks and whooping. The three will be mated under the tree of souls, to legitimise the union.
Jake and Neytiri looked at each other, worry in the man’s and anger in the woman’s. They did not want to do anything with her, but would have to make it look like they had, they were not stupid. If they did not do this then the people will become angry, it would be a disgrace. Only the great mother shall know.
Standing up, Jake held his large hand out to his wife who took it. Letting go and walking towards the direction of the tree, they would not take the ikran, but rather run through the night. Jake then turned to look at ___ who still sat with Sray in her warm arms, he nodded his head to the direction Neytiri went and followed her.
A little hurt that he did not offer his hand to her, ___ kissed Sray’s forehead and stood up, walking after them. As they got deeper into the forest they began to run, ___ tried her best to catch up but the two were hunters, they were more used to navigating the thickness of the fauna better than her.
“W-Wait!” she called in English, but the two ignored her and ran further ahead of her. ___’s ears slicked back and she huffed to herself, heart beating erratically with annoyance.
At some point the jungle got too thick for her to get through and she paused, the two she was following nowhere in sight. She twisted around, straining her ears to hear any calls or footsteps to help guide her. But to no avail, she lost them. Meaning she herself did not know where she was, this part of the forest was so much further out from the old hometree, a part she has not navigated before.
Her breathing started to speed up, panicking. Did they leave her? Alone? Here? She knew they did not like her, but this was too much. It was past eclipse and night, anything could come to kill her.
A rough hand grabbed her arm, the same one Neytiri held earlier that day and turned her around. An angry Jake stood there with brows furrowed, fangs bared. “Why did you stop?” he growled, ears slicked back “you were supposed to follow, not stop and sightsee like a lunatic!”
She did not know what that word meant, but by his tone it was something mean. Her own ears pressed against her head and her tail tucked between her legs, she yelped as she was harshly dragged through the forest, Jake never letting go of her arm even as they got to the tree of souls.
He let go and stood next to Neytiri who had her queue attacked to one of the hanging branches, tendrils letting go and she broke the bond. Turning to see ___ with a hand on her arm, the bruises were darker than before, the sting aching the area and making her hesitant to move it.
The warrior glared at her and snarled “you will have a baby put in you, as it is the way. But we are not bonding. Never. You will deal with that shame” she barked in Jake’s native tongue, her words were harsh and the prospect of not bonding with the only people she could was demeaning, it brought water to her yellow eyes. This was low, a baby without a bond was seen as disgrace. She would bring great shame to Na’vi.
“Neytiri-“
“Kem si ke plltxe kurkung!” ___ closed her mouth, she did not want to anger Neytiri further than she has. Jake, who stood watching the ordeal, strolled towards ___ and pushed her down onto the ground, pulling her loincloth to the side and doing the same to his.
“Pey! Oe kawkrr-“ her words were again cut off as pain filled her lower abdomen, he entered her. It was her first time and he just did it so fast without considering her feelings. Tears streamed down her soft cheeks, pained noises leaving her mouth as Jake started to move. He manhandled her onto her stomach, pressing his hand to her lower back above her tail bone, if the pain at her core wasn’t enough then the sensitive space on her back was.
Neytiri simply watched as her glare burned holes into the girl beneath her, the person that ruined her life. That took her sister away from her, took everything. She was not going to welcome this destroyer into her family, never. She’ll make sure ___ and her children will be shamed, if not by the people then by her own kids and husband.
___ felt something warm release inside of her, oozing out of her hole. She felt Jake lift off of her and heard him step towards his mate, both of them softly talking to one another while ___ was left to curl up, sobbing quietly. The man that was supposed to care for her, supposed to love her, took her dignity and now her first child.
Her heart squeezed in her chest as she could only imagine the future to come.

‿︵‿︵‿︵‿︵︵‿︵‿︵
i know a girl from an island she stands apart from the crowd she loves the sea and her people she makes her whole family proud…
being the daughter of the village chief wasn’t easy. you were the precious secondborn child to ronal and tonowari, adored by your people and doted on by your parents… but you would never be tsireya.
she was responsible, selfless, compassionate and of course, beautiful. always did as she was told, stayed out of trouble, would fiercely defend her family if she needed to. never talked back, cared deeply for the wildlife, made sure she stayed inside the reef. she was the perfect golden child.
you on the other hand, were headstrong, curious, defiant. you were also willing to defend your family fiercely, but also those who were unable to defend themselves. ready to fight. ready for the next big adventure. trouble always seemed to find you, regardless of how hard you tried to stay out of it. there was so much more to life than just staying in the same village, doing the same things everyday for the rest of your life. so, you were often found outside of the reef with your ilu, your spear and your thoughts - much to your parents disdain.
when the sullys came, you had tried to avoid being caught up in the excitement of guests, but of course you had been dragged to the front by your brothers. you greeted the family respectfully like you had been taught to, but your eyes lingered on a certain boy. he had 2 strands of hair hanging on the side of his face adorned with rainbow beads. his lips curled into a tiny smile as he gestured to you, but as tsireya walked out from the water he turned and his smile dropped, eyes widening.
that’s when you knew he would never be truly yours. you could give him the sun, pandora’s moon, the stars, anything he could possibly want - but he would always be tsireya’s. he never hesitated to rush to her if she needed help, or if she wanted to go for a walk, he was with her as much as he could be. and it crushed you. you tried to hide those feelings, focusing on how when you were old enough you would travel beyond the reef and finally fulfill what you thought was your purpose. but if he ever asked, you would throw all of that away for him. you both had so much more in common, but that wasn’t enough.
when the skypeople attacked, both you and you sister fought valiantly at the sully’s side. they had done too much damage to your island for you to stand in the sidelines. they went after the tulkun, killing roa, your mother’s spirit sister and her calf, and killing liyanin, your spirit sister in the midst of their rampage. you rushed at lo’ak’s side to help him warn payakan, coming head to head with the skypeople. they had captured you, lo’ak, tsireya and tuk aboard their warship, handcuffing you to the side as bait for their father. you tried not to despise him for bringing his war to your home, or for favoring neteyam over his second son. he treated them like soldiers rather than children and lo’ak would never be as good at neteyam in his parents’ eyes, much like you would never be as perfect as tsireya to your parents. maybe it should’ve been neteyam you fell for, maybe it would’ve been easier on your heart. but eywa and her will had other plans.
as soon as you had been cut free you should have ran to save yourself, but lo’ak couldn’t leave his adoptive brother spider behind. like the warrior you are, you followed him and neteyam to help. tsireya and tuk had run to find safety beyond the battle, and here you were running head first back into it. being sneaky was never one of your strong suits like it was for the forest boys. grabbing one of the guns the dead skypeople had dropped, you shot anything and everything you could in every direction to help them jump into the water free from harm. dropping the gun and diving head first yourself, the water seemed to fill your lungs faster than it ever had before.
you had been shot. shielding neteyam from the bullets flying your way, one of them had gone right through your chest, a little below your collarbone. gasping, flailing, coughing up blood as they pulled you onto an ilu towards a bout of rocks amongst the warship carnage. tsireya’s screams and cries filled the air, her hands covering your bullet wound in an attempt to prevent blood loss.
“no, no, no!” lo’ak cried, one hand gripping yours and the other resting upon your face.
“stay with me, stay with me. you need to keep your eyes open, please.” you couldn’t help but softly smile. it was your lo’ak here with you as you lay dying. his family surrounded you, silent as they watched your rugged breathing slow.
“take care of her for me, okay?” tsireya gripped your other hand, and you gave it as strong of a squeeze as you could. you stared at the stars, the sounds of their pleading growing quieter as you crossed into eywa’s arms.
lo’ak cradled your lifeless body in his arms, sobbing, kissing your face like he wished he had done when you were still alive. he rocked back and forth has he tucked the stray wet hairs behind your ears and away from your face.
“i love you, please don’t leave me,” he chanted. i love you. i love you. i love you. if only he had told you sooner.
‿︵‿︵‿︵‿︵︵‿︵‿︵
i will carry you here in my heart you’ll remind me that come what may i know the way…

Sweet n' salty
Tumblr media
Pairing: Tsu'tey x reader
Summary: The clan questions eywa's decision. How could two completly different people become a pair? Salty and sweet? Well, maybe even eywa herself doesn't know it.
Warnings: None, just fluff. !Not proofread!
Requested?: Yup, my first one ^^
Word count: 255
A/N: (Lets just pretend all the horrible stuff with the Skypeople didn't happen and the hometree wasn't destroyed-)
Tumblr media
Y/N was a sweetheart. Always positive, a never-ending smile across her face. You could count on one hand how often she was unfriendly to anyone.
She was the total opposite of her mate, Tsu'tey. His looks alone were intimidating, sharp jawline, broad and muscular body.
After Tsu'tey and Y/N mated, the olo'eyktan and the tsahik questioned the decision of eywa. And not only them, a bunch of other clan members didn't know how it worked out between them neither. Maybe even eywa herself didn`t.
Tsu'tey and some others came back from a hunt. Y/N swiftly ran to the direction where she heard the sound of the pa'li, and a moment later she spotted her mate.
She walked over to him as he dismounted his direhorse, hugging him with the usual smile on her face, "Zola‘u txal, Oe lom nga."
Wrapping an arm around her waist, a smile replaced the harsh expression on Tsu'tey's face, "I missed you too, ma Y/N." He gave her a small kiss on the head before turning his attention back to the other hunters and the clan.
A few minutes passed after Tsu'tey spoke to the olo'eyktan and the tsahik about the successful hunt. Shortly thereafter, he slung his arm around his mate once again, now on his way to their shared marui, craving some alone-time with her.
Jake, the clan newcomer, watched after them with slightly furrowed brows, "How are they even-"
"Don't-!... Don't question the decision of eywa... Although... I'd like to know too...", his mate, Neytiri interrupted him.
Tumblr media
!Translations! Zola‘u txal - welcome back Oe lom nga - I missed you
A/N: Alright alright, that's the first one-shot I'll be posting, ik ik, it's very short .-. Srry for any spelling or grammar mistakes, english isn't my first language. I hope y'all liked it, especially the one who requested. Thanks again ^^

Quaritch forming tsaheylu with his partner
Tumblr media
Pairing: Miles Quaritch x GN!Na’vi!Reader Warnings: Some slightly suggestive content
Tumblr media
You had never seen Miles this nervous. Even with a knife pressed against his throat and your angry form hissing in his face, he had merely smirked, but now the man was shaken. His face was tense as you led him through the forest, his ears twitching at every noise.
Did he not want to do this? You asked him again and again but he always assured you that he did. He wanted you to be bound together, marriage not really an option on Pandora.
“Is it going to be watching?” He asked at one point when you had reached your desired clearing. When you asked him what he meant he glanced over to a woodsprite that peacefully floated by. “You know.”
Eywa was what made him nervous. Humans or Na’vi watching him? No problem, he’d pull his pants down anywhere, but some god/sentient ecosystem seeing him, feeling him at his most intimate moments? It disturbed him.
“Eywa is always watching,” you had answered with a smile. To you Eywa was in every breath you took, in every drop of water you drank and branch you brushed aside. But the Skypeople did not feel that connection as deeply even when in Avatar bodies.
The two of you just sat in the clearing for a while, facing each other and breathing in calmly. You had urged Miles to close his eyes and join his hands with yours. He had given you that same look that he always does when it comes to Na’vi ways, but complied regardless.
“Feel her presence, feel her peace and let it join you,” You told him. It took him a while before he truly got it, a chill running down his spine when he felt only a snippet of that connection. It seemed as if the sounds around them became more clear, every falling leaf and drop of water suddenly audible. But it wasn’t alarming, quite the opposite in fact. He became calm, and when you felt it in his grip on your hands, you let go to caress his face.
When his golden eyes met yours, you smiled with intense admiration. He had put his own reservations aside to please you. “Oel ngati kameie.” I see you.
He repeated it in that adorable broken Na’vi of his and caressed from your face to your hair, playing with one of your beaded braids. It jingled softly and the sound reminded him of every morning he had spend watching you while you turned and tossed in your sleep. Sometimes you would turn so fast and suddenly that your braids swayed and clanked together, but you seemed to be deaf to the sound. You had been all teeth and anger when you had first met him, appearing as a demon as much to him as he did to you. But you had seen the softer sides of one another, and now Miles could not imagine having to go without the sight of your fanged smile for longer than a day.
Slowly, you brought forward the braid with your queque and offered it to him. The little pink tendrils of the queque parted the end of your braid and wiggled expectantly. It was still an odd sight to him, but strangely not unappealing as it was a part of you.
He brought his queque close to yours and locked eyes with you, your expression questioning. Without words, you asked him one last time if he was sure. Sick of the doubt, Miles interlocked your queques quickly.
Both your breaths hitched as your queques became tangled in one another. With every strand that became linked, a jolt was felt through your bodies and a new sense of your partner could be felt. When the wind blew by your back, Miles could feel the soft tickle of hair running down his spine. Not his, but yours.
He placed his hand on your chest in a testing manner and felt the pressure of it on his own. Tsaheylu had been made, a bond that could only be broken by death.
Your pupils were dilated as you stared at him, heart bouncing rapidly in your chest. He could feel your urgency, your need, his own only amplifying it.
He pulled you onto his lap and kissed you, every passionate brush of his lips against yours sending heat through both your bodies. He had never wanted you more than in this moment. To feel you, to be one with you.
When you are both sated, he lets you fall asleep in his arms, his own eyes quickly falling shut from exhaustion.
By the morning your queques have become untangled, the extreme high of the earlier sensations having lessened with it. Miles woke up before you, your back still facing him as you peacefully slept. He picked up your braid and watched as your queque writhed and wiggled out towards him. A grin appeared on his face. Could this be used more often?

Ma Txe’lan
Masterlist
Summary: you have an argument with Aonung after putting you life in danger
Warnings: mention of death, curse words, pregnancy
A/N: I’m not sure if I have to tag people from my previous work, but I did it🥺 If you don’t or do want to be in a permanent taglist, please let me know! I hope you like this one💕
Txe’lan - heart
Tumblr media
Since you and Aonung officially got mated you didn’t have a lot of arguments. And if you had ones they weren’t really serious. Mostly they happened because you liked going out somewhere without letting him know about it and Aonung got really worried when he couldn’t find you. That was always the most serious case. You thought that it couldn’t get more serious, both of you are so understanding and hearing that you don’t have reasons for a huge argument. You were so wrong.
Today was the normal day. You were going to hang out with Tsireya and Sullys as usual. You all have fun, swim and collect pretty shells. Aonung was supposed to be with all of you, but his dad asked him and Neteyam to help other warriors to hunt. They couldn’t say no, moreover, it was an honor for them to be invited by the Olo’eyktan. You were used to it, so you let him go leaving a little kiss on his lips.
“Don’t get in trouble while I’m gone. Stay safe, okay?” In fact, Aonung was the one who is always worried about you. He knew you won’t do anything that puts your life in danger for fun. But he also knew that sometimes you don’t really think about potential consequences and that’s what gets you in trouble. “And what’s more important, don’t listen to Loak” you laughed at this. His expression was extremely serious when he said this. For you it wasn’t a big deal. What might happen? “I’m serious, y/n.”
Aonung looked straight into your eyes and you sighed understandable. You know that he worries about both of you.
“Please, take care of you too.” He gently places his big warm hand on your belly. It became his habit since you found out about your future baby.
“I will.” You put your hand over his and squeeze it a little.
He leaves a soft kiss and goes to his parents’ marui to join other warriors. For you this event was normal and you didn’t worry about it, but for Aonung, whose protectiveness increased twice since that evening when you found out about your pregnancy, it was a big deal. He didn’t want to leave you alone for long.
When he finally left your marui, you remembered that you wanted to see Ronal and ask her about the baby. Since it’s your first time being a mother you had a lot of questions and she was the only one who could answer them since nobody but her knew about this. You wanted to keep it as a secret for as long as possible.
“Hey, we want to go to see Payakan. Loak wants us to meet him.” Tuk came out of the blue as usual. “Come with us!”
You weren’t sure if it’s a good idea for you since Aonung asked you to stay safe. Going out of the reef, even though you’re Metkayina, can be dangerous for pregnant woman.
“I don’t think it’s a good idea…”
“C’mon! We’ve done this so many times, everything will be fine. And today is a special day, Payakan really wants to meet you all. Neteyam and Aonung will join us next time.” Loak was really excited about it, his eyes were almost shining, so you couldn’t say no.
“Okay, tulkun boy” you rolled your eyes sarcastically.
The closer you got to the tulkun, the more clearly you could see this red pierced thing. You didn’t understand what’s going on, but Loak found out quickly.
“Sky people did this! They’re coming, we need to take it out of him!” He was panicking, because of the fear for his spirit brother.
You immediately jumped on him and tried to help Loak to take it out, but nothing helped. Kiri and Tsireya joined you. Tuk started screaming and you got really scared.
“They’re here! Hurry up!”
Your heartbeat increased twice. You were afraid that it might be your last day, skypeople can do anything with all of you.
“Dad, they’re here! They shot Payakan and want to kill him. We’re trying to save him.” Loak used his neck microphone to call Jake.
“What?! Who’s there?” He was with other warriors and you knew Aonung hears everything.
“Me, y/n, Tsireya, Kiri and… Tuk.”
“Get out of there, now!” Jake immediately replied with worried tone in his voice.
“We’re will get out this thing and immediately go back yo the village.”
You tried to pull another time, but it didn’t help. Then you saw ilus and finally had the right idea. Guys tied the rope to your ilu and you tried to pull it all together. In less than a minute you managed to get it out. This GPS arrow was in your hands and you knew that they can detect you. And that’s why you tried to swim as far as possible from you village so that everyone will stay safe, especially Tuk. You just hope that other guys will go back to the village and you will manage to get out of this situation.
You don’t know how, yet.
“Oh Eywa, please help me!” You mumbled while trying to avoid corrals and plants. You also knew that right behind you there’s this huge machine chasing you and you don’t have right for mistake. The last minute your Ilu got so scared that it just left you the moment you lost your bond.
You have to survive for Aonung and the baby that you carry right under your heart.
You had no choice but to hide in the huge plant that had some air inside. You’d been swimming for too long to get them far from village. Before finding this plant, you threw that red GPS, hoping that they won’t keep chasing you after this.
Aonung’s pov:
“RDA are hunting for Tulkuns. Payakan is shot, they’re trying to save him.” Jake explained situation quickly while all men went back to the village.
Only question that Aonung had was about you and he didn’t want to know the answer. But he has to.
“Who’s there?”
“Loak, Kiri, Tuk, Tsireya and…” Jake looked cautiously at him before saying the last name. “Y/n”
“Fuck. I have to go there now.” Aonung raised his speed and changed direction straight to the reefs.
“What are you doing? Y/n is with them, they can handle it by the time we will come. She’s strong.” Tonowari tried to calm down his furious and anxious son.
“She’s pregnant.”
That’s all he said before leaving everyone in shock. When he got closer to the end of the reefs, he met Loak and the rest of the group except for you.
“Where’s she?” He was furious. In fact, he was scared deep inside. “I asked where is y/n!” He raised his voice like his father does and it shocked everyone. Nobody knew he can be that serious.
“She was distracting RDA. She’s supposed to come soon.” Loak said this like nothing serious happened, but Aonung’s face said that he fucked up.
“If something happens to her, I’ll kill you.” He pointed to his chest angrily and left without saying any other word.
***
You tried to calm down and make no noises so that RDA won’t find you. You’ve been staying here for too long and it seems that you won’t get out of here soon. Tears start to come, panic slowly takes over you.
“Aonung, I miss you.” You whispered starting crying. The thought that in the morning it was your last kiss with Aonung and you didn’t have a chance to say goodbye to him. You were supposed to have a baby and live a happy life, but it’s going to end today.
With the side vision you notice something moving towards you and you moved to the side, trying to save yourself. You wiped your tears and tried to pull yourself together as much as possible before RDA soldier will come for you. But before you could do or say anything, the familiar head appeared right in front of you.
“Aonung?” You were surprised to see him. He sighed in relief that you’re okay and right after it he got really serious.
“What the hell are you doing?!” He knew you must be stressed out, but couldn’t help it. “It’s been only a couple of hours and you already in trouble. Loak is supposed to protect everyone, not you!”
“I’m the eldest in our group, I had to take responsibility.” You didn’t want to have this conversation now, but there was no choice.
“Take responsibility for you own life first! How can you be a mother if you don’t know how to take care of yourself?” You didn’t expect him saying this and it hurt you. You lowered your head, not willing to continue this argument.
“I want to go home, Aonung.”
“Wheres your ilu?” He was still angry and you didn’t try to calm him down as usual. You also needed support. More than him.
“It got scared and left.” Your voice was really quiet.
“Okay, let’s go back home.”
Luckily, RDA left you and your way home was quick and safe. However, the tension between you two was almost visible. You hated it. It was the first time such thing happening in your relationship and you didn’t know what to do.
“My child, are you okay?” Ronal was the first one who noticed your arrival and came straight to you. She hold your hands, examining all your body for any wounds you luckily didn’t have. Everyone in the village looked at you with worry. Now they know about your baby.
“I’m fine, just got stressed a little. Thank you.” You slightly squeezed her hands and gave a tired smile.
“Okay, go rest then. If you need anything, just let me know.”
You nodded and Aonung took you to your Marui. All that time he didn’t say anything and that stressed you out even more than sky people.
“Aonung?” You asked tentatively, trying to catch his gaze.
“What?” His voice was sharp and it really made you upset. He never talked to you this way.
“Please, say something.” You tried to touch his shoulder, but he didn’t let you do this. You bit your lip, to stop yourself from crying, and sit on the floor. Otherwise, it might be hard for you to stand during the tornado that’s about to happen.
You needed his hug and love now. All you want now is to feel the warmth of you husband’s heart and body. He’s the one you could be vulnerable with, but now it’s not working.
“You want me to say something? I have a lot of things to say.” He looked at you seriously towering over you. “What did I ask you when before leaving?”
“Don’t get in trouble…” you felt like a little child who gets scolded by their parents.
“Don’t get in trouble. Which word in this sentence you didn’t understand? Do you even know how I felt when Jake said you’re chased by sky people or when I met Loak and others without you? You’re having our baby and you’re still acting like a 15 year old you. I thought we overcame this problem, but turned out we didn’t.” You were about to loose your last piece of calmness. Aonung is the most important person in your life, that’s why he’s the one who can either hurt and heal you easily.
“I thought I can loose you and you didn’t even think about it. You didn’t think about how I would feel myself if I see you dying or wounded. I could loose not only you, but our baby.” And this was your last straw. You broke in tears, letting out all emotions you suppressed until this moment.
You were crying, sobbing and shaking. Re-living that situation and remembering Aonung’s words again and again.
How can you be a mother if you don’t know how to take care of yourself?
I thought we overcame this problem, but turned out we didn’t.
I could loose not only you, but our baby
“I’m sorry. I didn’t want this.” Aonung immediately sat down right in front of you, trying to calm you down. “I was scared that Tuk and other would get hurt. I didn’t want them to be captured by sky people.” Your eyes were full of sorry. This broke Aonung’s heart. “I know I don’t think think about the consequences in the moment, but I don’t do these things for nothing. I have reasons to act certain way and I’m sorry that I make you worry, but I also got really scared. I also thought that today might be the last day I kissed and touched you. I was scared to loose you too. But I don’t regret doing this and I would do it again if I have to. I better safe four lives for mine, than save my life for four others.” You tried to explain everything, sobbing and crying, while Aonung hugged and tapped your head softly. He knew he shouldn’t have to scold you. The first thing that he must did was to comfort you after that stress you’d gone through.
“I’m sorry, ma txe’lan, I’m sorry.” He whispered same words, while hearing you crying. “I’m sorry I couldn’t be there and help you. I’m sorry I didn’t think about your feelings and pressured you.”
You didn’t want to say anything, focusing on his soothing voice. With all tears your stress and tension in the body and mind were relieved. You two were still in each other’s hands, listening to your breathes, enjoying each others warm bodies. You’re alive. You’re still together. You’re still going to have a family.
“You’re my txe’lan, y/n. You own my life. If they take you from me, then they take my heart. Please, don’t let anybody do this to us.” Aonung was sitting and hugging for from behind, placing his head in you neck crook. It was your favorite pose, as you both could feel each other completely. “Can I…?”
“Yes”
You knew what he wanted to do. Some Navis think that young couples mostly love to feel each other sexually, but it’s not your and Aonung’s case. You enjoy your sexual journey with him, but the most precious moments are when you feel each other. Sitting in such pose in your marui or at the beach at night, looking at the sky and having tsaheylu. You don’t have to use it only during the adult time. You can use it just to feel your partner. And that’s what you do now.
You both need this, you need to make sure that you’re alright. Aonung takes your and his braids and makes a bond. Shivers go through your body. You feel his heartbeat, his breath, you don’t need words anymore.
You’re the one
You live in each other
You will be the one even the afterlife
“I see you”
