#This is mainly about Noé Archiviste. But also I will not forget what some people did to Simon Petrikov either when I was watching f&c #I’m so desperate for drawings of them. But for the love of God，is it that difficult? Somehow every other hexadecimal of their #Character design is exactly on model other than their skin. Just. .#OH YEAH I FORGOT KAEYA. FFS. Somehow it’s always the K**luc-ers that always do it. Which makes sense because they disregard his entire char #And with the new influx of atla fans people have been whitewashing Katara too! And I mean drawings of the original show too #probably delete later #And no one seems to have any problems with it? Especially if it’s sexualised art *talking more about Kaeya & Noé here.#People who whitewash the few (and when I say few I literally mean 5/82 playable characters) darker genshin characters. Actually fuck off #If I see ‘it’s just my art style’ or ‘it’s just the lighting’ *every other colour than the skin hasn’t been lightened in the slightest*#One more time-i’m going to explode #Oh and while I’m on this topic! Fuck Bochum for whitewashing literally the entire starlight express cast! Electra being the first ever #non binary character in musical theatre while also being played by black actors. And then Bochum happened.#When was the last time Pearl or Rusty had actors who weren’t white? Literally the last character who hasn’t been replaced is Momma/Poppa.#And being black is so integral to their character and music. Shower Thought

So like. El. AU where El is just a quiet and frankly unsocialized little girl who lives really close to the sea with Hopper. She was found in the middle of the forest during a patrol with no memory of how she got there, who she was, or anything outside of the most basic forms of human knowledge (Like how to use a toilet and what forks are).

So Hopper keeps her in his little cabin by the sea when El shows no sign of any family member coming forth to the station to claim her as their child, and essentially just becomes his Eggo loving daughter.

El, as any curious child tends to do, ends up escaping one day and running to the sea. She sees it outside her window all the time after all, and she wanted to get up close and personal.

That's where she meets Max. Max is actually a mermaid, just Arieling it up or whatever, and of course ran away the moment she realized a girl had snuck up on her. That's fun. El thought it was strange, but didn't find it weird enough to really tell anyone. She's read tales about mermaids, seeing one in real life couldn't be that weird, starfish are in books too and those things are real.

She also didn't think she'd keep seeing Max, but alas Max really likes making Billy's life hard as hell by escaping and chilling up at the surface. Rebellious teen phase and all that. So, of course, they kept meeting every time El snuck down to the water (Which was often. Wet sand was SUCH an experience and El kept going down to do normal people things) and eventually sort of became friends. Who knew mermaids spoke human languages. They bond, and Max is happy to talk about normal girl things, even if said normal girl things are kind of ocean related, or just things Max has seen people do.

Perhaps from there the boys end up finding out about Max's existence, or maybe Hopper, or perhaps El goes on a little rescue mission when one of Max's surface excursions lead to getting caught in a net or being captured by people who wanted to make a profit out of her.

#stranger things #el hopper #max mayfield #elmax #it's the max levitating scenes except this time in a fisherman net #no powers for el but she DOES get a neat collection of pearls and funky seashells #she also learns how to swim from max #maybe el even gets to meet billy at one point #perhaps even bond a little #i'd like to think that billy here is... well he's still mean but he's not BAD he's just not fond of max running away so much #the ocean is massive as hell and apparently curfews exist where the sun barely shines #and sharks. being half fish can totally mean you're half lunch #billy probably isn't actually tan since... he's underwater all the time #but maybe his skin tone is just naturally tanned like that? like a clownfish?#el is just fascinated by how cool max looks #maybe even makes a little clay version of her for fun #would max smell like ocean or like fish #it'd be funny if she smelt like salted caramel for no reason #the party would probably also be in awe of a real life mermaid #but unlike el who just accepted it instantly they'd be a little more in shock because they're supposed to be a myth #max gets barraged with questions and leaves because she's getting annoyed #and then el gets a little pouty because they made her friend leave >:(#max's diet is probably fish if not like sea flora but el shares her eggos with her anyways

...sometimes we forget that normal people's gore tolerance, like. Ends at butchering a frozen chicken or whatever. Absolutely incomprehensible to us that there are actual real people out there who would genuinely get faint at the sight of blood. Don't you, like, have blood in your body? You've got body parts too, you know. You are capable of being injured. How on earth did you manage to become an actual adult person while being afraid of a state of your body?

#it occupies the same space for us as the kinds of people who pearl-clutch at the very concept of a children being aware of sex #but worse because like. how on fucking earth do people ever manage to grow up sheltered enough to balk at minor injury?#were you wrapped in fucking pillows your whole life? like. with shit sex ed its putting stupid amounts of baggage on the very concept of se #but with people who cant stand the ideas of like. injury and death its just fucking incomprehensible #people get injured. people die. it is a 100% unavoidable part of any life and trying to delay introduction to basic building blocks of #Being Alive is really just gonna fuck you up more #theyre a kid not stupid they can understand concepts like blood and death and its important that theyre aware of basic facts of life #so that they can build their psyche on a version of reality that actually Exists #idk man it never ceases to take us off guard that there're people who cant stand the idea of like. any injury that isnt skin deep #we speak
