exploring some concepts for a Kelpie illustration - in Celtic folklore, the kelpie is often described as a pitch black horse with a dripping mane, sometimes covered in seaweed. The kelpie entices unsuspecting travellers to climb onto its back, or lures them closer by appearing sick or injured- only for them to find their hands stuck to the horse as it pulls them beneath the water to a gruesome death.
Steve has always been the better artist between the two of us. He'd get so mad if his stub of a pencil got misplaced. Had to pull a few extra shifts so I could buy him a pack when his last one fell through a hole in his pocket one day and got lost in the snow.
