pairing: pre-game!korekiyo shinguji x gn!reader

tags: minor hint at his past, korekiyo has issues with being touched by people, established relationship, comfort

korekiyo is a loner, who's having a hard time making friends with similar interests as him

even if it wasn't for his interests that are a bit odd for a boy his age, his looks aren't helping him much either

he's always wearing a surgical mask and gloves and he can't get himself to get his hair cut

yet somehow you didn't seem to mind all those things!

korekiyo was happy that he found someone who treated him normal and even happier when that someone wanted him to be their boyfriend

once in a relationship with korekiyo, you start to learn more about him and why he is the way he is

he's doesn't like being too close to other people, nor does he like being touched by them, after some bad experiences he had in his life

the gloves prevent him from having to have skin to skin contact with other people, while his mask is mostly there to make him feel more comfortable

it takes korekiyo a while until he starts to hold hands with you and it takes him even longer until he takes the gloves of for the first time

after a while though, he doesn't mind holding your hands without gloves anymore, having grown used to your hands intertwined with his and the warmth emerging from them

he even starts to enjoy being this close to you…

he'll still keep on his mask for most of the times though, only pulling it down when he wants to kiss you and pulling it back up right after

in regards to his hair, you are the only one who gets to cut it! he doesn't want other people touching you and he doesn't mind if you're bad at cutting his hair – the act alone matters!

The fins I chose for Kiyo are based of a Coelacanth. A very ancient species of fish, I thought was fitting for him. He’s displayed in a museum/aquarium thingy.

Korekiyo doesn’t wear makeup. 💀

Korekiyo is like my favorite character in the entire danganronpa series (I don’t really know why) and I see all this fanart with him wearing lipstick and stuff. I personally feel like the head cannon of him being feminine doesn’t really make sense, not because I’m against it, just because I don’t think he does. The whole lipstick thing came from the scene where he confesses to murdering people for his sister, and she seems to start communicating through his body. I don’t think most people realize the second thing of what I said- cause like- doesn’t his sister possess him during that trial? Please correct me if I’m wrong. He shows his face, but I feel like that’s supposed to be the obvious tell that it’s not him communicating- as not wearing the mask would be against his character. people thought he wore lipstick regularly because during that scene he ‘pulls his mask down revealing he’s wearing makeup.’ But during that whole possessing process he also shows new eyelashes and eyeshadow(?) along with the pupils enlarging, showing him to be a completely different person. Here’s image comparison lol.

I think the skin even goes paler. So like- I guess my point is when he is seen technically wearing makeup it’s not him, it’s his dead sister speaking through his body. Or maybe he’s a little kooky ☺️. I’m not hating on the headcannon that he’s feminine, I just personally don’t use it and I don’t really agree with it. I don’t think he canon wears makeup. It’s a pet peeve of mine sorry hdhghhgh

Explanation for this:

Dangaronpa V3 is kinda meh to me so this is my au in which Rantaro and Kaede are the main protagonist and antagonist duo.

I also think the 3rd trial is a big waste of potential. They had such a cool idea in mind with the whole "Korekiyo confessed to one murder but not the other" but then in the end it's revealed he actually commited both and it's like.... ok??? You're telling me we could've had a trial with 2 murderers who didnt know about eachother's exsistance and that no matter what there would be a killed left among the survivors??? Anyways in this au I like to pitch the idea of Himiko secretly being the second killer who accidentally murdered Angie and although Korkiyo did kill Tenko his crime doesn't count as Himiko killed Angie before him.

There could've been fun loopholes I'm just saying 🙄🙄🙄

Also I think the dynamic between Rantaro and Kaede could've been fun to explore in a "Kaede wants to trust and believe her friends while Rantaro is aware they could betray them at any moment" kind of situation
