The takes I see on Levi on TikTok, not showing emotion ≠ not feeling emotions like other people. What Levi does isn't stoicism. It's emotional numbness caused by shutting down emotions in order to survive and not go insane.
Also to clarify, stoicism doesn't equal not feeling emotions, but rather accepting things as they are without outbursts of anger or hatred towards other people, life or even oneself. Levi isn't really an example of that.

It’s so odd seeing that so manga readers were upset with the post-credits scene meanwhile for me, it was arguably the best part of the finale. Except maybe the baby scene, that was so heartbreaking to watch. That is what made this conclusion an Attack on Titan ending. The story didn’t lose itself and maintained what it’s been about from day one. It could’ve been done a somewhat better but the more I reflect on the end, the more I do like it.
Because of course the world will inevitably enter war. Eren didn’t change humanity, he shrunk the population and got rid of Titans. That is literally it.
“Oh well that’s why Eren should’ve done a 100% rumbling.” Then Paradis would grow in size, repopulate what’s left, and eventually go to war against each other. What happened was the most logical outcome. For all we know that may have happened and the conflict we see in the far future had no correlation to Paradis’ past whatsoever.
I have seen reasonable criticism for what could’ve been adjusted or added in which I understand or agree. But I believe a lot, not all, of the irrational hate the ending originally got stemmed from two sides. One side wanted Eren to fully eradicate everything and saw him as this chad, edgelord who appealed to their toxic fantasies. Another side wanted a happy fairytale ending that had peace reign and pain finally vanished.
In the end, something more grey happened and neither got what they wanted.

Noragami Final Chapter Thoughts
You know what? I'm used to it.
I'm used to have exceptionally well-written manga get cut off or deadline-d to finish at certain point of time (usually by the publisher's order) when the authors still have so, so, SO much more left to give, so in the end they have no choice but to rush the final chapter.
Shingeki no Kyojin, Promised Neverland, Nisekoi, other mangas I forgot to name. And this manga. For such a long-running series with deep lore, they all could use a special volume (200+ pages) as an epilogue, not a 45-pages speedrun of everyone's everafter. I wish more series could follow Mob Psycho's example. Some say Mob Pycho Season 3 is too long, it needs to be more compact etc, but I don't think so at all. I think it's perfect the way it is -- it's a fulfilling send-off for all the characters we love so much. I wish more series would get their ending like that, but what can I say about Japanese manga industry.
And there's also Adachitoka's health to consider too. In which case, I'd say they did their best, and I'm really thankful for them for being able to deliver this series safely.
In short, I already expected this chapter to be a speedrun. Because of that, my experience when I read this chapter is better than I expected.
Maybe because I've learned my lessons for not making theory too much, so I don't have certain expectations that'd cloud my judgement.
With no deep thoughts when reading, let's go dive in.
The PUNS it still gets me. Yukine's sister calling Haruki's name while watching a tree that blossoms in spring is 😭😭😭
Ayoo he can change to a dog still? My poor baby 😭
I guess this is his punishment for wrecking havoc in the human world and disturbing the Heaven? But like, he was clearly under the influence of trashdad?? He's not really at fault?? Is this author's message that we shouldn't justify his action just because we understood his reasons?? But still. That's too cruel for doing it for your own main character.
I know shinkis that were left behind by their master would retain their name after the master's death, but still. To think Izanami's power is still working on Yukine after the Kotonoha is destroyed. This is tragedy.
THE FLOWERSS IN YUKINE'S RESTING PLACEE AKSJJDBDKDJDJD
Daww that's nicee. Hiyori as an intern!
Damn, she really forgot everything. This is for the best though, she already died once when she got too close with the far shore; I'm already prepared for this much. Maybe Yato had finally severed her ties with him and that (along with the cpr) is what allowed Hiyori to return.
Wdym "intense cpr," it's more than intense. It's hella long too. Nobody could perform intense cpr for hours nonstop, unless that person is non-human.
Good to know Yato broke her ribs though, nice work!
Hiyori's missing notebook? Prob taken by Yato or something.
Dafuq. Move along with your "it's me!" wishy-boy. No. This time it's not you who kissed her. You were delirious in some random abandoned building in some random city when Hiyori was dying.
See, this is my nightmare. To have the real Fujisaki Koto as Hiyori's future love interest. Because I know for sure, for so long, that they could bonded with their out-of-body experience when they both lost their memory.
Sorry Koto, 'nothing against the real you, but your alter ego has kinda ruined your image.
Damn, Father's longing for Kaya runs deep in Koto's veins.
BAHAHA, Nice one Coophone. Or Yato. Or Yukine. Or whatever tf Hiyori's guardian is.
AWWW THE GODS ARE CARRYING HIYORI'S LEGACY TO HAVE A PICNIC TOGETHER 😭😭😭😭
Aww man I didn't see Nana. She'd love to have a picnic with both Bishamon and Arahabaki! Is it because she was infected with GGS, or is it simply her turn to watch over the house? I hope it's the latter.
I wish the Gods would talk more about Yato's miracles, including about Hiyori. She is literally the glue that help stick these guys together. Without her, they wouldn't even know about Father's Liberation ability.
Heck, forget about Yatori. I wanna hear the Gods reminscing about their situations & conditions after the incident. But alas.
Oh well. This is something I've learned to let go.
Woow Kunimi looks young! Does he finally have a vacation?? Lol
Ebisu's voice got deeper? He still looks like a baby to me. Is he a baby 12-yo?
It's real nice to see the 3 reincarnated gods! Though I coulnd't care less abt them, even tho i know they have main character energy
Oh. my God. TakeKiun is really sailingg Look at dem. Matching clothes and soft smiles and all dat shit 🥺🥺🥺
Um, okay. It's good and all that each mortal has their own version about what happened at that time, but like,
Weren't people DIED???
I thought many people died!! Getting slashed by Gods!! Why is it not covered on the national news-
(myb when Father's "nation" returned to the underworld, the souls who were lost were also returned to its vessel somehow?)
Nope, nevermind. Just don't think too deeply about it. Moving on.
BISHAAA it's good to see her in great health!
Though I really wanna know, how is her relationship with the Heaven and the other Gods after that fiasco, how she feels abt Father's defeat, etc--
NOPE. Don't thinkabout it. Just moveon.
Here I thought Yato was gonna get a reward from Amaterasu for slaying "something that doesn't belong on this Earth." Oh well. Guess Amaterasu is hella stingy like that.
Why Yukine seems like he got even smaller though. Is it the changing art style? He looks more baby than ever.
Wait, they got a whole proper room to sleep? Is this their old room in Kofuku's house?? I thought since Yukine is infected by GGS, Kofuku stayed the hell away from Yukine, but that doesn't seem like the case?
Maybe Kofuku-Daikoku are the one who abandoned the shop; leaving it for Yato and Yukine to stay in? We'll never know.
(Now where is Kofuku's new address, I need to know)
Since Yukine is infected by GGS and always in constant nightmare, I'd like to believe Kazuma is experiencing the same thing; in order to separate him from the rest of the clan, now Kazuma sleeps with Bishamon every night. Lucky bastard.
That is so touching of Yato for comforting his sobbing child every night, but I wish we got a glimpse of his reminisce with his now-gone Father.
Oh wooww the dude finally stopped playing around. I thought he didn't have the guts to cut Hiyori's ties, turns out he really cut itt. No wonder Hiyori forgot about him for 10 years.
(Though I don't think she forgot completely either. Yato might not be in her head anymore, but he's still in her heart)
Adachitoka-san. Are you trying to tell ME this teke-teke thing is way more viral than the mass of unnatural, unknown deaths???
Is it because there's no death at all???
*sighs.* Anyways.
Aww Nora is now staying at Iki's household, happier than ever 🥺
Oh so that's where Hiyori's notebook goes.
Wait, Iki household creeps Hiyori out? Why? Is it because she was traumatized by her grandma's death? (Does she even remember that?) Is it because she faintly remembered the way Nora broke her house's windows? Or is it because she could sense Nora's presence and it icks her? I hope it's not the latter ☹️
I'm happy Nora is finally a happy child, but, Yukine? What about my son Yukine, who is no longer a pure soul, who could no longer sleep peacefully every night. Where is Nora's apology for leading Yukine to Father huh? Where is her apology for (indirectly) turning Yukine into who he is today? I guess it happens off-screen, we'll never know.
OH WOWW THE PUNS' AT IT AGAIN
Wdym "the night has a scent."
"Night" is using the same kanji as Yato's name, 夜. She is remembering his smell from the nightt, peoplee
(The night when he kissed her prob)
The power of the match-matching ema hunged by Ookuninushi is really strong, huh. Hiyori managed to remember Yato again, despite her already-severed-ties with Yato.
(or maybe not. I guess their fate really IS intertwined, knowing their first meeting)
I kinda wish Hiyori would remember Yato much later, like, in her 40s when she already has kids on her own, but hey, the sooner she remembers him, the longer he'd stay on this Earth so I'd still consider it a win!
Tbh, a part of me don't want her to get involved with far shore like she did in the past, but a part of me also wants her to snuggle between Yato and Yukine's arms after her work hours end. Dilemma.
Now I need Hiyori's journey to become one hell of a rich doctor so she could build a proper shrine for Yato so she and her family could pray together every morning, because she claimed it's Yatogami who saved her life that day. She'd make dinner for Yato and Yukine and eat with them every evening while her family acknowledge it as her night-praying-time. She'd tell her family, her future husband, and her future children about the legend of Yato (she'd exaggerate it a lot) and the next thing she knows, Yato have already has a devoted followers. Oh, and she'd often visited Bisha's shrine, Kofuku's, Ebisu's, all gods associated with Yato.
That's it folks. I rarely do my thoughts about Noragami, but I do read it religiously regularly each month. This manga has already become my comfort manga no matter how angsty it is, so it's gonna be hard to part with it, after all this time. Maybe for next month I'm gonna restart from chapter 1, one chapter per month.
I do have to say though, usually when I read a series with unsatisfactory ending, it leaves a bad taste in mouth. Somehow this chapter don't feel like that at all. I don't know why. I still look at this chapter and all the previous ones with fondness.
I wanna dream that 1-2 years from now, Adachitoka would release a 200-pages of Noragami epilogue -- which I know it's impossible, but hey, let the girl dream. I'm also looking forward for the extra komas, if there's any.
It's been a good time with you all 🤗👋

So, I wasn't initially big on this project (I liked the original ending of SnK just fine for what it was, and generally don't have a super high opinion of the AnR Ending theory) but given how elaborate and high-profile it's become, I decided to check it out when the 3rd chapter dropped yesterday.
I'm happy to report that it's Pretty Good Actually!! So far, at least. The original soundtrack and art are high-quality, the writing is decent, and...frankly, three chapters in, I am in fact excited to see where the plot ends up going!!
Even if I might not entirely agree with the guiding sentiment / narrative behind the project, I've gotta acknowledge the dedication behind the team - from creating a soundtrack and drawing all-original art for the panels, to translating the text into several languages, it's an impressive endeavor.

Twelve-million more reasons Historia and Levi are part of the Endgame. With Pictures.
You can read the first post I made on this here:
10 reasons it would make narrative sense for Levi and Historia’s character arcs to end together.
(This is the mega-evolved version.)
Okay, I’m going to put this out there now, and before you judge me, please just read the posts. You don’t have to agree. This is just an idea. But it makes a stupid amount of sense, at least to me. So here's your fair warning (and now I'm being bold): If you don’t want to potentially be spoiled, Do Not Read On.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Here’s the Theory:
Historia Reiss will give birth to a half-Ackerman child, and together with Levi, from the ashes and ruins of the world Eren destroyed, they will welcome the dawn of a new age for humanity, where Ymir’s curse and the power of the Titans is extinct.
I know. I sound like some crazy, Rivahisu nut. Granted, I am, but I’m not mad enough to make a claim like this without a shit-ton of evidence, because it’s such a damn twist it feels like it can’t be true. But just humour me.
Tumblr media
Here’s the theory, then we’ll look at why it makes sense and how it might have been foreshadowed. Please note: I have less clue how this will tie in to Eremika endgame, so I haven’t mentioned this as much, but obviously that will be the other very important side of this coin.
10 months ago (In Japan, full term pregnancy is counted as 10 months), at the banquet celebrating completion of the new railroad, Levi and Historia, having had 3 and a bit years to bond over their shared experiences and become close, may have gotten carried away together and shared one night of being a bit more than friends. She’s well into her 18th year at this point, just to clear that up. This resulted in Historia getting pregnant. Okay just stay with me; I know. I know. I sound crazy. But hear me out. So this pregnancy, contrary to the belief of the MPs and rest of the damn world, was the complete opposite of planned. Historia tells Levi, and Levi immediately panics. Because, to steal Kenny’s famous line, Levi thinks to himself ‘I can’t be some kid’s dad.’
Tumblr media
Levi does what he always does best, and shuts down into business mode, telling Historia she will need to cover it up somehow. Historia does as he asks, probably reluctantly, because she really has developed very deep feelings for him during the timeskip, and finds some farm hand to take the blame, likely saying she made a silly mistake with some random and the father doesn’t want anything to do with the child, and so she needs a father for the child not to be illegitimate. Which is her worst nightmare, because of course, that’s what she was. Levi watches the exchange hidden in that famous hood, feeling very conflicted, because although he cares about her, he thinks it best if no one knows that it was him that got the Queen pregnant, and of course, he’s duty bound, with a vow to fulfil, so he has no time to be worrying about a family. (Silly Levi!)
Tumblr media
How ironic this conversation would be if this theory were true. Remember, Historia was completely willing to eat Zeke if needed. Instead, she got pregnant, unplanned, nothing to do with any plot or selfish wishes, just the result of a spontaneous act of love by two people who’ve grown to care for one another a lot. ANYWAY.
Because we know Levi actually has a good heart, he feels immensely guilty for all of this; he's just a product of his upbringing and thinks he doesn’t know the first thing about families, so it's better for all involved if he not be. See where this is going? The old cursed history repeating? Making the same mistakes as our parents? Plus, Levi is bound by his duty. He is incredibly important to the military still, and he cannot just abandon this for any of his own selfish wishes. He’s supposed to be the one to vanquish the beast titan.
Cue ten months of Historia looking hella depressed and hopeless, and Levi being even more of an asshole than usual to everyone, and not really wanting to say too much at all, as well as making some terrible workplace decisions (lol) poor boy be distracted.
Look at his face 😭
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Yes Levi. A month. Which means Historia is now due and you’re still stuck with beardy, without a solution and pretty soon no reason for the MPs not to turn the mother of your child into a Titan.
That’s what that face is. I thought he looked a bit weird first time I read these panels 🤔 He didn’t know about the wine. We see that later. Anyway, I keep getting distracted, stop. I’ll come back to this.
But fear not; Levi will have a choice to make.
So this is where it gets a bit more iffy for me, because I'm not sure how it would work, so this could be a way off, BUT. I believe it will come to light that the combination of Royal and Ackerman genes will somehow cancel out a person’s ability to turn into a titan and connection through paths, thus making them truly ‘free.’
Tumblr media Tumblr media
The founding titan has the ability to change Eldian physiology, according to what Zeke learned from professor Xavier.
Tumblr media
EDIT: Okay so here’s where I’ve had to tweak this a bit in light of there latest chapter. So we just had Zeke in PATHS. With none other than our second resident genius, and as proclaimed by Eren, the saviour of humanity: Armin. What do our boys have a conversation about? Reproduction and the importance of the small moments in life - it’s these little moments which matter, regardless of the desire or need to recreate. Interesting how both the leaf and baseball link back to what their ideas of ‘family’ became. If Historia and Levi were to be in the same scenario in PATHS, what would their items be? What truly means family to them both?
Perhaps Armin and Zeke realise what is needed to lift the curse of the titans - maybe a blueprint for genes which can cancel out the connection to PATHS and the founder? If only they had a child with a new type of Royal-Ackerman DNA which might fit the bill ...
Here’s Levi’s moment. He, with Historia, has created such a child - completely by accident, because of one of those ‘moments’ that both Armin and Zeke mention - moments that are simply just about enjoying what you have with no sense of how it might relate to anything bigger - a real rarity for both of them, considering their roles and constantly being asked to think about the good of humanity as a whole. What a beautiful irony, that in the moment they chose to be selfish and, to use freckled Ymir’s own words, really live for themselves, they set a chain reaction in motion that would ultimately save humanity.
Where does this leave Eren and Mikasa? Good question. I believe Eren will die once the curse is removed, because tragically he is the character that has been forced to choose humanity over his own personal relationships. As Isayama has said before, Eren is a victim of the story. Mikasa will be the last thing he sees, hence the original dream at the start of the manga, where he wakes up crying. Something like this. But probably a lot better. Yeah.
Out of the ashes of the old world, a new one will be built, but through Historia’s kindness and love, and Levi’s guilt and understanding of what was sacrificed in the past, society will not repeat the same mistakes. The final panel could be Jean holding his child, perhaps with Mikasa, if she ever manages to get over losing Eren. That would be vague enough so that Isayama was able to show it to us already without spoiling much. Or maybe Jean’s dead and it’s not him at all. I don’t know. 😭
Right. Okay. So now you’re going, sweet story, but uh, there’s no way Levi could be the father. He’s so much older. Isayama wouldn't write a moment of romance like that. Not with him and Historia. YOU’RE JUST CRAZY.
Well this is where it get’s interesting. LET ME SHOW YOU. It’s foreshadowed literally everywhere. Right under our noses.
There is so much symbolism.
Dedicate your heart to what? has been Levi’s question recently. What are they all fighting for? What is he fighting for? How will he give meaning to his dead comrades sacrifices? Is killing Zeke really the extent of it? Is vengeance the true meaning of their sacrifices? Or is it something a lot more hopeful?
The answer is shown to us in the opening credits. And the ending credits. Several times.
Levi says so himself - he keeps messing fulfilling the vow up - why? Why is he so worried about killing Zeke?
Eren has the same questions to consider. Which PATH is the right one to take - revenge and violence with the rumbling, or love ... with Mikasa. We are literally shown what their choices will be in two virtually identically designed panels, which I’ll show you. Tragically, Eren’s choice is taken from him. He is a victim to the story - he must chose the path that saves humanity. Levi and Eren have been bound together through the theme of choices, and taking the ones which leave you with the least regrets, throughout this entire manga.
The upcoming anime episodes literally plot out the timeline of Levi and Historia’s changing attitude to one another, and then Historia’s pregnancy, it’s just so cleverly subtle. Isayama even tells us when/ during what event her child was probably conceived by just dropping dates in from other, seemingly unrelated plot lines.
Zeke gives pointed comments to Levi constantly - every other line of his is either a different jab at Levi about Historia’s pregnancy, a veiled question, or a reminder that he’s under the pressure of a 10 month time limit to do something about him, or Historia will have to eat him once she’s given birth. We start to see Levi unravel because of this, and make mistakes over and over.
It’s in official art. It’s in the soundtrack. Its in music videos. There’s interviews from Isayama that, when read in light of these ideas, suddenly take on a whole new meaning.
Isayama even trolls us. He’s laughing in our faces, the madman. Like, gotchu 🤣 suckers. While we’re all on Reddit and Twitter like, ‘Levi’s character has become so stagnated! He’s making such poor choices or not giving anything to the plot at all. All that’s left for him now is to give up and die! Be at peace, your story is over.’ OOF. Or, ‘Historia has just been forgotten! She’s become such a pointless character. Isayama just got bored with her and sidelined her.’
I’m going to try and write stuff up in the rough categories below, but these might change. I’ll link them when I’m done, and then pin this post. I’m a bit of a rambler so heads up - this may take a while 😅
There’s also a ton of people I have to mention who have contributed to this - I didn’t spot it by myself. I’ll tag them in the finished post too.

Chapter 1 of the Attack on titan manga
Very upset that this wasn’t animated. Chapter 138 foreshadowed in chapter 1. Isayama was only 19. Genius

In the latest episode of Attack on Titan season 4 Episode 11, we saw Mikasa having headache and somehow get flashback to when Eren saved her from kidnappers. In the recent episode, the scene feels more terrifying and creepy. I want to point out several differences that maybe intentional, to give "hints" to the watchers. Cause it had happened before *ehm* points at season 2 ending song *ehm*
There are several differences in this scene.
1. Eren was not crying
Eren was crying on 6th Episode as seen in here :
Tumblr media
But in Mikasa's flashback in recent episode, Eren was not crying. He has a really merciless expression here.
Tumblr media
2. Mikasa's Expression
In the 6th episode, Mikasa expression is emotionless, and maybe a little relieved because someone finally saved her
Tumblr media
But in recent episode, Mikasa was legit terrified, by Eren's action
Tumblr media
3. How Eren recognize Mikasa
Okay, this is where it gets chilling.
In the 6th Episode, it was Eren's first time to see Mikasa. Noted : It was his FIRST time to see Mikasa. When he saved her he said this :
"It is alright now" and the scene moves into next scene which is him saying "You are Mikasa right ?"
Tumblr media
It was natural, because Eren has not meet Mikasa yet, and he did not know how she looks like. Of course he was going to make sure that she is Mikasa.
Tumblr media
But in the recent episode,He said this
Tumblr media
Tumblr media
"It is fine now, Mikasa" as if he already knew how she looks like. Well he already knew that the kidnapped girl was named Mikasa, but i think if you don't know how the girl you saved looks like, you want to make sure that the girl you saved is indeed Mikasa. But i don't know i can be overthink about it
4. The weather
This fact is the most chilling to me.
In the 6th episode, when Mikasa was kidnapped it was raining, hard.
Tumblr media
But in the recent episode, it was shown that there were birds
Tumblr media
This is confusing to me. Why there were birds if it was raining outside ? and i find in google that Birds actually can fly when it is raining, but they choose not to. So that means, in this scene it was not raining at all because there are birds flying.
I also search in the 6th episode whether the windows has the glimps of birds as it was shown in the recent episode. There was not a single window shot that has birds.
I actually am not sure what the differences implies though. There are two possibilities that i can think of :
1. Alternate universe exist
So what Mikasa saw is just fragment of other Mikasa in alternate universe of the event. So the course of event is slightly different. She can remember something about other alternate universe maybe because she is an ackerman.

2. Eren is in the timeloop
Because it is hinted that Attack on Titan world has single timeline. Meaning that even if you take different action, the ending will be the same anyway. But Eren has the Attack titan, and it has the power to reach the future, transcending time. So i think it is not impossible for him to time travel to the past via P A T H, now he has Ymir on his side.
But i actually it can be anything else, it can be both. Only the next 2 chapters can answer this question

Promises
The official promotional video for the final two volumes of Attack on Titan featured two promises. Up to chapter 137 none of the two had been fulfilled. These two promises were Levi’s promise to Erwin to kill the Beast Titan and Eren promise to always wrap the scarf around Mikasa’s neck.

And what did we see in chapter 137?
Tumblr media
Levi fulfilled his promise.
Will Eren finally do the same?
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Yes he will.

MANGA SPOILER WARNING ⚠️
Tumblr media
You see this? Does it look familiar?
Tumblr media
Now I believe this has a significance, I also believe it was intentionally added by mappa because levi didn’t stab Zeke’s cheek in the manga.
Tumblr media
According to Willy and the warhammer’s memories, Karl fritz and the tybur family conspired to send Eldia to destruction and make Helos the hero who saved marley etc... The statue represents Helos and the head of karl fritz’s titan, eldia’s symbol of power. because... it would be pointless if it was a regular titan, there were alot of them out there while he’s posing there. My point here is that Helos’ glory was in him defeating the king.
Levi is the “hero” who put down Marley’s symbol of power who happens to be Zeke (who also happens to be the descendant of fritz) but guess what? It’s just a conspiracy. AGAIN, but this time it wasn’t as retribution to Eldia’s atrocities, it’s to restore eldia, basically the antithesis of what the tyburs and fritz did.
Also i know levi is only there to kill zeke in the end and zeke wants that euthanasia thing considering it as the last resort to spare eldia from the hate of the world.
Another meaningful parallel.

SNK 138 Theory
It’s been a day since SNK 138 was released and I’ve read up on a couple of theories about an alternate universe, time loops and what not. From how I understand the manga, I will argue my case for how SNK could be intertwined with time loops.
In the first chapter of SNK, we see Mikasa saying, “See you later Eren.” Her hair in this panel is short and even. The scene then turns black and in the next few scenes, we see Eren waking up from a dream and Mikasa, but Mikasa with layered hair. Her hair is still relatively short, but is slightly longer than the first panel with Mikasa.
Tumblr media
In the first panel of Mikasa, notice that the grass is more sparse whereas Eren waking up from his dream, we see that the grass is more full and luscious. Therefore, this is not Mikasa telling Eren: “see you later” and then waking up him up a few hours later from his nap. Rather, this is a time loop Mikasa, witnessing Eren’s death and reassuring him that she will see him later once the time loop resets.
I’m going to suggest that in SNK 138, we see the same Mikasa as we do in chapter 1. In the picture below, we see Mikasa telling Eren, “See you later Eren” with the same ellipses, speech bubble positions and all, but this is from Mikasa’s POV and not Eren’s.
Tumblr media
Notice that in Mikasa’s memories of the previous time loop, she has the same length hair as she did in the panel she first appeared. She is also wearing Eren’s gifted scarf in the same style/way and the grass is also sparse as it is in the first panel.
So from these comparisons, I’m hypothesizing that in the previous time loop, Eren chose to run away with Mikasa and realized that 1) he made Historia suffer 2) they both pretty much abandoned Armin, Connie, Jean and the rest of their survey corps 3) Paradis will be forced into battle, because Marley declared war. In the previous time loop, Eren was indecisive and because of his constant going back and forth, because of his lack of resolve to keep moving forward, everyone kind of got a bad ending. He died, leaving Mikasa alone, Paradis was going to be under attack, likely killing everyone else and those who were titans would never revert back and the shifters would die from Ymir’s curse.
Unlike their current time loop, Eren did not push forward. He was reluctant and undecided, leading to many consequences. So in this new time line, when he wakes up, he decides to move forward no matter what the cost and he fully believes that this is the only way to bring about change and resolution. Not only that, but I think that’s why he’s so anti-Mikasa towards the end because he may remember how in the previous time loop, she also ran away. She just followed Eren wherever. Whereas Armin continued pushing forward, perhaps why Eren always voiced that Armin would be the one to save Paradis.
When Mikasa has the memory of the previous time loop, it was of the time she was witnessing Eren’s life ending, only for the time loop to restart again. I think now she understands why Eren pursued choosing the rumbling and realizes her duty to kill him, to also push forward, putting an end to it all. In either scenario, she was going to loose Eren, but perhaps killing him in this time loop would result in a time loop where they are free. Her last words to him show that she is confident that she will see him again.
I think it’s beautiful that she is the last person Eren sees whenever he dies and that she is the first one to greet him when he wakes up from his long dream.

Returning AOT Chapter 2 after Chapter 138
Tumblr media
I have read on some theories that Mikasa’s headaches may hint to every time she almost noticed they were in a time loop, and listen, if this has been right before my eyes SINCE THE BEGINNING I’ll really lose my mind.
