Polyamorous BokuAkaa Headcanons bc this is self indulgent!! Mostly!!

CW: marriage & children (both hypotheticals and kids are only very briefly touched on)

Bokuto and Akaashi invited you into their relationship

First Bokuto off-handly told Akaashi that he thought you were cool and attractive

It took Akaashi about a month before he was like: "Okay. I agree. But why did you bring that up?"

"What if we tried a polyamorous relationship with them! :D"

"Well, we'd have to discuss it with them and ease them into it. And that's only if they want to do it."

So imagine your surprise when Bokuto loudly declares that he and Akaashi want to pursue a relationship with you

Like,, homie has no chill and sees no point in beating around the bush

Now let's get into romantical highschool hcs:

If you're a manager, please give them lil good luck hugs and/or kisses before practice matches or games if you aren't on the court

If you aren't, Bokuto is going to try to get you to come to any game they play and Akaashi, despite being a little stoic, will probably blush a lil bit and agree with Bokuto

Study!Dates!

Jus trying to help Bokuto with his calculus homework and anything else

Bokuto def gets really slouchy and whiney during really long study sessions so he's usually leaning on either you or Akaashi as he asks if you can take a break soon

Eventually you both cave and end up sitting on someone's bed, talking about upcoming events and watching videos

THEY ARE YOUR NUMBER ONE SUPPORTERS

You do theatre? They're always at opening night. Doesn't matter if you're acting, a stage hand, or a stage manager.

You do speech and debate? Akaashi will help you prep while Bokuto, despite being a tiny bit confused, will cheer you on.

You also play volleyball? Trust me, no matter your position, they're always constantly helping you improve and are at every game they can attend.

You do a different sport like softball, baseball, swimming, etc.? They're at any match they can go too. Literally Akaashi has to ask Bokuto to quiet down bc he's cheering really loud and getting stares from those passive aggressive family members.

Even if you don't do an extra curricular activity, but just have something you're really passionate about, they love to hear about you ramble on about it and love it when you show them what you've made.

Speaking of love... the first "I love you"

Surprise! Akaashi actually said it first

You were spending the night over at Bokuto's house and he was fast asleep, but you and Akaashi were quietly talking about whatever came to mind

Then he just takes your hand in his and says:

"You know, I'm really happy that you decided to be our partner. I love you, y/n."

You just smiled and said: "I'm glad I did too. And I also love you."

Then with Bokuto... it was a little different

You and him were having a one on one date, riding around on his bike through the park

He just smiled at you and shouted:

"I LOVE YOU A LOT!!"

So, to match his vibe, you yelled it right back to him

Despite being only meer centimeters apart

Being sandwiched between them during the night is elite- top tier!

But you also switch it up

Sometimes Bokuto is in the middle and that usually happens when he comes home from away games

Sometimes Akaashi is in the middle and that usually happens when he had a stressful day at work

So,, the hypothetical marriage situation:

If you don't wanna get married, they're totally fine with it. Marriage is overrated anyhow 🤷🏻‍♀️

BUT

If you do wanna get married,, they're 100% for it!! Then it kinda falls under three hypothetical scenarios:

1: You just get your marriage license and have a small party. No ceremony. But just some nice extra time with your boys.

2: Small wedding. Just family and really close friends as you get married in your backyard.

3: A big ceremony! Yeah, we're talking about a big wedding. (It's three people getting married to each other,, it's gonna be a large turn out.)

Then the whole last name debacle. This goes on for a few days, let's be honest here.

If you wanna keep your last name, they're coming up with different ideas like: taking your last name, hyphenating it with either Bokuto or Akaashi, etc. etc.

If you don't want to keep your last name, then there's: taking either last name, hyphenating their's, etc.

There's also the discussion of everyone keeping their own last name,, can't forget that.

It's a confusing process.

Then there's also the talk of children

If you don't want kids, fine! Kids aren't a necessity to relationships ((deadass,, why do people think that everyone needs kids???))

And if you do, then whoop!! Kids

I don't wanna dive into kids,, but like you can imagine whatever y'all do

I feel like Bokuto and Akaashi would adopt dogs and cats from shelters

Bokuto would definitely own a mug that says something about loving his pets

Two cats and a dog

That's your animal family

Im done with the animal thing, hang on

Cats wise: One is a grey and white tabby and maine coon mix, you and Akaashi like to call her Koutaro Jr. and the other is a Calico who Bokuto affectionately calls Baby

Dog wise: a pit bull who is nothing more than an oversized lap dog. His name? Spike.

One time, Bokuto invited over Atsumu, Hinata, and Sakusa over for a group dinner for fun, ya know?

They show up right? Y'all are chillin; Baby is perched behind Hinata and Koutaro Jr. is vibin' in Bokuto's lap (Atsumu is cackling at how you named her, and how "yes, Bo! She does look like a bit like you!")

Then in trots Spike

He trots over and nuzzles his way between Sakusa's legs and rests his head on his thigh

"This is Spike, right?" -Sakusa

"Mmhm.. are you-" -Akaashi

"Such a sweet little thing." -Sakusa

He *almost* doesn't mind the pet hair clinging to his pants

Anyway

It's a mostly happy and healthy relationship (bc lets be honest, fights can and have happened, but you got through it)

A/N I love this cutie so much----

A = Attractive (What do they find attractive about the other?)

Klaus loves how supportive you are, he’s been forced into isolation for a lot of his life so it means a lot that you care no matter what.

B = Baby (Do they want a family? Why/Why not?)

I don’t think Klaus would be overly interested in having kids for many reasons. One of them being that he’s worried the baby will inherit some form of his powers and he wouldn’t wish his powers on even his worst enemy.

C = Cuddle (How do they cuddle?)

Klaus is like a big baby, he wants to be held and close to you. A lot of the time, he’s lounging on you like a house cat, he’ll lay his stomach across your legs, lay his head on your lap. And if you’re laying down, Klaus will lay on top of you.

D = Dates (What are dates with them like?)

Very sporadic and impromptu, to be honest. Sometimes he’s just like “Wanna go out?” and then you’re being dragged to typically a nightclub. A lot of the times they’re simple movie night with popcorn.

E = Everything (You are my ____ (e.g. my life, my world…))

“You are my savior.”

F = Feelings (When did they know they were in love?)

He wasn’t sure what he was feeling, but he knew he liked the feeling of loving you. But when Klaus finally realized for sure that he loved you, it was during one of your long rants as he just watched you with his head resting on his hands all dazy eyed.

G = Gentle (Are they gentle? If so, how?)

Klaus handles you with care. His hugs are secure but soft, he kisses you deeply but warmly, when you do anything ;) he’s so sweet and loving.

H = Hands (How do they like to hold hands?)

He much prefers to be hugging you but whenever y’all are up to no good, Klaus likes to tangle your fingers together.

I = Impression (What was their first impression?)

When he first saw you, Klaus was intrigued as to who you were and why you weren’t fawning over him much like many others have.

J = Jealousy (Do they get jealous?)

Most of the time no, but he acts like a little kid in my opinion. He will likely sulk and roll his eyes while arguing with Ben about talking to you.

K = Kiss (How do they kiss? Who initiated the first kiss?)

Klaus definitely kissed you first, he thought nothing of it, a peck on the cheek doesn’t count? Right?

L = Love (Who says ‘I love you’ first?)

You say it at the same time.

M = Memory (What’s their favourite memory together?)

When you tried to teach Klaus how to make no-bake cookies and he made it wrong so the cookies didn’t set right :(

N = Nickel (Do they spoil? Do they buy the person they love everything?)

Klaus spoils you with love <3

O = Orange (What colour reminds them of their other half?)

Any warm color.

P = Pet names (What pet names do they use?)

Darling, hun, a nickname based of your name.

Q = Quaint (What is their favourite non-modern thing?)

He likes live music, but really anything that drowns out the spirits.

R = Rainy Day (What do they like to do on a rainy day?)

Klaus honestly loves playing in the rain and running around, jumping in puddles.

S = Sad (How do they cheer themselves/others up?)

Music really helps him and so does talking to anyone as a way to distract himself from the spirits.

T = Talking (What do they like to talk about?)

Really anything, Klaus is the type to do the “Just hit a blunt...” thoughts,,, even when he’s not high. He also really likes arguing about random bullshit and will DIE ON THAT HILL!!

U = Unencumbered (What helps them relax?)

Taking baths with music in the background.

V = Vaunt (What do they like to show off? What are they proud of?)

His sobriety and friends.

W = Wedding (When, how, where do they propose?)

He’d definitely pull out a ring and be like “Wanna elope?”

X = Xylophone (What’s their song?)

Y = Yes (Do they ever think of getting married/proposing?)

Honestly? Not really, he’s never been on to commit to someone so it hasn’t really crossed his mind.

Z = Zebra (If they wanted a pet, what would they get?)

I think anything fluffy, but coming to mind would be a maine coon or mini-lop rabbit! He’d name it after something silly like a drug, ex: MJ (Mary Jane), Chrissy (chrystal meth EJWNFIGN)

CATS ARE COOL TOO AAAH

- Issei had a tabby growing up in his house and he’s always wanted another cat

-Takahiro had goldfish but always wanted an animal he could pet

- Issei has always needed an emotional support animal and he’ll be leaving behind the tabby when he moves out

- Takahiro moved out of his mom’s as soon as he could s o l e l y to get a cat *cough* projection whomst *cough*

- Issei and Takahiro rent a place together when they go to college

- Takahiro moved in a bit before Issei because of his moving out asap and wanted to get the cat immediately but a) Issei was on vacation with his family for 2 more days and b) the shelter he was going to go to was closed for the weekend bc of some event

- They went together on Monday as soon as Issei got back

- Issei fell in love with a middle-aged large blue, black, and red maine coon (look them up my dream cat) who waited until all the other cats had tired of them to patter up and immediately climb up to sit on Issei’s shoulders and purr

- Takahiro reaches out to pet it and the cat gently hooks it’s filed claws in his sweater cuff to trap his hand that the cat pushed it’s head against and licked

- They name him Adam Daniel Smuffins the 69th

- Smuffins in the name on his (easily detachable in case he gets tangled in something) collar

-Smuffins quickly establishes himself as a cat who snuggles with anything and anyone who was friends with them

- And a great judge of character

- He hates their lovely female neighbor and they don’t figure out why until they find out she’s the one who tried to report them for being [homophobic slur]

- Which is why it’s hilarious to them that she loves Tooru until he starts being Fake

- He’s rarely fake around them anymore but all too many times he’s been exposed when he smiles and says “I’m fine” and Smuffin’s leaves the room

- Takahiro and Issei never explain why he acts this way towards Tooru because they appreciate knowing for sure when he’s down

- Also they often find that when he shows up asking to stay the night Smuffin’s will sleep by him and let him cry into his fur

- Tooru nearly destroys himself trying to get over Hajime when Hajime is doing the same

- Hajime also is loved by Smuffins, but since he goes to a far away school they don’t see him often

- Smiffens claws at the door one night and they’re confused bc he never wants to go out but then they open the door and Hajime is on the other side, looking for a place to stay because his roommate found out he’s trans and Tooru was having a fling stay at his house

- “You know he only has them because he’s trying to get over you” Issei says quietly, handing him tea while Hajime pets a purring and comfortingly kneeding Smuffins

- Smuffins and Issei are the best of friends, Smuffins often rides around on Issei’s shoulders and whenever Issei is having a breakdown or even a bad day or anything like that Smuffins always manages to pull him out of it

-Smuffins becomes Takahiro’s confidant. Nothing Takahiro considers important escapes begin told to Smuffins, who Takahiro will often hold entire conversations with, late into the night

- Smuffins is the best anyway I love him yes anyways this got too long so Imma stop now I hope you like the hcs
