her eyes are dark grey, but can be seen as light grey when exposed to lights! she has a pair of deer-y eyes that mostly makes her look like she's sleepy or not attentive when not smiling.

ABSOLUTE-FREAKING-LY. she's born to an actress mom, so acting like this and that never happened or this and that happened is one of her fortes. but, she only lies when necessary.

inadequacy. asian families are pretty known for their strict generational standards. so, as a daughter from highly-educated parents, she struggles with the standards that they put on her. which is why now she studies abroad and tries to juggle every bit of her interests.

again, inadequacy. she only cries once every six months, but that ‘once’ is mostly due to her built up inferior and inadequate feelings for herself, her parents, her family, and the people who care for her.

passive-aggressiveness! she's known as this happy-go-lucky sweetheart who can get along very well. but, she tends to hold grudges over icks that leads to her being passive-aggressive. it's not once or twice that she has dumped her exes by gaslighting them they're at fault for bla-bla-bla when she's actually in the wrong too, especially for keeping her anger without communicating the problems.

what is her family like?

the whitfield family is a four-souled family with a strict yet harmonious dynamic! lore-wise, cammy's father is a president director of an insurance company in indonesia, while her mother is a business-graduate actress in indonesia. so, strictness comes like a meteor shower day by day, hitting cammy until she's able to sculpt herself into the standards of her parents: independent, successful, and honorable. her mother is the strictest of all and she's actually more of a daddy's daughter. but, she's gained the luck to be constantly supported by her parents wherever she goes. “just remember, stick to the standards,” her mom always says.

Okay so basically a bit of historical context first

The story of newsies is loosely based on the Newsboy Strike of 1899, in which prices were raised in July of 1899 by Pulutzer and Hearst to get prices back to wartime income. The newsies did not take this well and went on strike. The charecter of Jack Kelly is loosely based on a newsie named Kid Blink, aka Louis Baletti. He was the first union leader and lived to be 32 before dieing of tuberculosis and he may have worked for a mobster!!!! The charecter of Davey Jacobs is loosely based on David Simmons, a Jewish boxer newsie, the second leader of the strike. Both Blink and Simmons were kicked out for alleged scabbing. The charecter closest to a real life person is Racetrack Higgins, the lovable Manhatten newsie in the musical. He's based on Ed "Racetrack" Higgins, who led Brooklyn and started the strike with a 14 year old Spot Conlon. Ed actually lived a long time, living to be around 75 or so. Another key player was a female newsie named Annie Kelly, although I can't find much information on her. Crutchie Morris was also a real person with the same name as his musical counterpart, who reportedly sold around the sheepshead track if im not mistaken.

Racetrack in the movie is actually confirmed trans by the director if im not mistaken, which is pretty cool. The movie is actually pretty gay in terms of interactions and subtext and everything. Although, it did flop at box-office. It was rushed and Christian Bale was cast because he was famous, not necessarily cause he could sing.

The musical, on the other hand, did quite the opposite of flop. When it premiered at the papermill playhouse, it almost immediately went to broadway. Oh, and another thing about the movie. Katherine Plumber was not originally in it! She was added when it was adopted into a stage musical. She's named for Pulitzers real daughter who died at age two. I've actually seen newsies twice live, once in the round, once traditionally.

Mike Faist originally played Morris Delancey, and a lot of former newsies are actually in the cast of 2021's West Side Story!

All the newsies have collectors cards that explain their backstories, for example Jojo, who was raises by nuns all his life. My dream is to own those cards it'd be so cool. I'd also really like to play jack kelly. There is actually a newsie called Kid Blink in the 92 movie, with an eyepatch. That's all I can think to say rn, but I'll answer any questions u have!!!!!!

just this fucking class has been moved to be online and I was doing really well under the old teacher who was face to face and im still doing well on assignments with the new teacher but im learning nothing from her, like I am solely teaching myself everything which is fine I like the topic of the subject so im kinda fixating on it. ANDd then yesterday(was it yesterday I don't fuckng remember) I emailed her asking for help on this current assignment and not only does it feel like she looked at it for five minutes she undid what I had achieved and then did the complete opposite to what I said I wanted to achieve. So im learning nothing in class and contacting the teacher is a valueless side quest that you can opt out of doing! AND YOUTUBE IS NOT HELPING ME ANY Better

Have a little picrew made of her with the little Monkey Kid OC picrew out there! So i'll send it in at some point!! AND!! SHE HAS A BROTHER!! Adoptive but the point still stands! So her brother is a demon! To be specific, A hellhound! His nickname is Big Guy but his real name is Man Li! Mans is a gentle giant hehe! But yeah! B or BG (Mai's nicknames for him) is HUGE!! Think DBK but maybe only half the height. Mai herself is around 5'6, so for a guy that can lift her with one hand and she can fully sit on it with absolutely no resistance? Big guy right there XD Also! Their relationship is strictly platonic! As Mai and BG grew up together! The two have a more sibling like relationship, familial! But touching back on the Overseer thing, the reason I brought him up before is because Mai and Big Guy are bounty/treasure hunters! They only take bounty's from truly evil people, like traffickers, abusers, and others like that (didn't wanna explain more incase of triggers!). Usually, BG is the one to do the killing, as he's the brute force of the two, but Mai is fully capable of fighting herself, wielding two chakrams that can be easily used to cut through any enemies! Mai usually helps her patron by sacrificing these people, the more evil they are, the more power they give! Sadly I don't have much else for BG yet, as he's still quite new and I'm still developing his character! BUT YEAH!!! I HOPE THATS NOT TOO MUCH AAAA ENJOY!! Eye symbol necklace. Split hair, right is blue, left is black, red and blue eyes, scar going through the right eye. Big chunk missing from her left wing, causing her not to be able to fly. Wears wedding ring on horn. She wears glasses because she went partially blind in the war. She has an eye tattoo.

Question (Mark) (Question) Clark. (They/it/xem):

Pupils are literal question marks, their iris is just white. Wears wedding ring on a chain around their neck, has an eye pendant on the chain too. Question mark freckles. They do indeed wear glasses. Hair is a very grayish purple. They are French even though they aren’t really from a reality where it matters? They just showed up and went “I’m gonna be French and then marry someone named Frenchie.” We aren’t really sure what they are. Hair is almost always pulled back.

• Gray (he/it): Gray, much like Bee, always has his face covered with its hair. He is very self conscious about the scars on his face and eyes. He is a depression demon, it has little horns, wings and a tail. Its hair is grey with a red fade and one section of his bang is black. It mostly dress formally, no matter what it’s doing. A sweater and a tie underneath? That’s gray for you. He’s a sweetheart I love him. He has an eye necklace.

•Valentina (she/her): She is so pretty Omh, she is a floral cow. She has green horns that have vines wrapped around them and a little tail that has flowers on it. Her hair and eyes are a light green and she wears a light blue overall dress with a ruffled pink shirt underneath. She wears glasses and draws little hearts under her eyes. She has an “x” necklace.

Rain Williams (she/it): Rain mostly hides behind their skeleton eye mask with their cloak hood up, she is a reaper for her goddess of death. It has orange skulls for pupils and a black heart marking under its right eye. A sign of who it works for. She mostly wears a hoodie crop top under her cloak and wears her scythe on her back when not holding it. Blue hair with a pink fade and orange streaks.

•Mythically (Myth) Stone (she/her): She dresses up a lot, never forgetting her leather jacket or her spiked bracelets and collar. She is a shapeshifter but prefers to either have fox features or none at all. She has red hair with a turquoise fade and an orange streak. Her sunglasses match her hair as do her eyes. She has an “x” necklace.

•Esmerelda (she/it) (goddess of death): Her eyes are yellow slits and her hair is the color of copper with black streaks. Black marks stain her body and some are on the form of hearts, mostly underneath her eyes. She can be seen wearing a short purple dress without any shoes, showing the marking that go up to her thighs. She smells like shit.

•Rey Jones (he/they): He has a jacket that has fur on it so that’s pretty cool. They have cat features but they resemble a lynx very closely. Their hair is green with a black section in the front, like Gray’s. They wear a stripped shirt and an eye necklace.

•Moon Brooke (she/they/he) (V: they/it): A skater (definitely not a st0ner) who has a parasite inside of her named V. They have brown hair with a blue fade and a black strip (V’s fault). They wear a backwards hat everywhere and have grey irises, the part of your eye that’s white is completely black for them. They wear a bandana that their dad gave them when they still got along. She has an “x” necklace and a sleeve of tattoos. He’s pretty cool.

•Natalia Fisher (she/they/it): her most noticeable feature is the giant “x” scar that is on her face, crossing right at middle of their nose. She has brown hair with a grey section and wears a fitted black crop top that stops right below her chest. She has an “x” tattoo on her upper arm.

•Midorylin Rockoya (he/they): Midorylin mostly wears purple, it’s their favorite color. His hair is brown with purple fade and he wears his favorite purple beanie constantly. They like to put stickers on their face, usually steals them from the arcade they work at. He has an eye necklace

•Marklo Switch (and snowball) (he/him she/her): Marklo doesn’t have that many noticeable features, despite having an open personality, he hides his face. He has dark black hair that he ties back with a grey and black bow. He wears glasses and a black face mask to hide his face. We wears a pearl necklace and has an eye necklace. His cat has a third eye but everyone else is convinced that it’s just discolored fur, Marklo probably doesn’t even know.

•Oliver (Ollie) Wells (he/him): He has an “X” necklace and wears a yellow bandana that was made with the fabric of his old yellow hoodie, he also has a price wrapped around his leg, and made his girlfriend (Valentina) and him matching bracelets with it. His hair is quite interesting. It’s purple with pink fade and yellow streaks, a side of it is shaved, and it’s always pulled back in a spiked bun. He has vibrant yellow eyes, he is my favorite to describe, he’s so pretty.

Anyway, I was wondering if you could do a Camilo x fem!reader with the reader being super artsy but she's super embarrassed about it, so she has a secret sketch books filled with doodles and drawings of him in random poses and little notes of the reader saying how cute Camilo is and how much she loves him. And one day Camilo is over at reader's house and while reader goes to get snacks for the both of them, Camilo being nosey; randomly starts grabbing things off reader's desk to see what it is and he eventually grabs the sketch books and starts flipping through it and looks at the the lovely art and the heartfelt notes about him and just melts and when the reader comes back with the snacks, she realizes that Camilo is looking through her sketchbook and she gets all embarrassed and starts apologizing and Camilo's like, "why are you apologizing, I them sm and I love you sm." And then they hug and be happy.

You’re camilo was too perfect, his personality, his attitude, his looks, his hair, his freckles, everything. So it makes sense that your creativity flowed whenever you interacted with him, drawing him whenever you could, along with venting (positively) under your doodles of your beloved. However, your perfect lover didn’t know about your hidden talent, especially not all the drawings of him. You stashed your drawings and sketches away for no one to see.

Granted why you were cautious of camilo coming over to hang out, however his mother had been stressing all day so it was a rainy day in Encanto, which you didn’t mind, since everyone needed to let their emotions out, it just meant your drawings were at risk of being seen, but you hid them well. Camilo knocked on the door as your [parent/guardian] opened and let him in, you stashed the sketch you were working on under your bed as he quickly knocked and came in

“mi amor!”

“ay Camilo you’re soaked!” you said concerned for your boyfriend’s health, even if he could be healed with his tía’s arepas.

he then jumped on your bed and on you shaking his hair like a dog, “now you’re soaked, mi vida!” your beloved said as you both cracked out in laughs and giggles. After you had calmed down you heard your [parent/guardian] call and say that they just finished making some empanadas, as you said you’d be back to your boyfriend you got up and left him alone to go get the snacks.

now you’d think, camilo being your lovely angel of a boyfriend, he’d sit still and wait for you to get back. well you were wrong and if you thought that, i don’t know if you’ve met your boyfriend.

as soon as you closed your door he sat for about 10 seconds before peeking in your bedside drawer, seeing a few ink-drawn pictures of him, with scribbles of writing underneath, curious as all people would be, he picks it out, as well as the others in the stack, and holds it up to his face to read the writings

so on and so forth, he read through all of them after observing the work and effort put into these sketches of him, drawn by his love, confirmed by the little initial you put next to each sketch. Soon enough as he was gazing at a close up of his face in black and white, you walked in a plate full of empanadas in one hand and the other on the door from opening it, you froze. he looked up as he heard the door, as well as smelled the empanadas, he then realized he had snooped and was holding the evidence of his ‘crime’. you placed the empanadas down and shut the door as you freaked out internally, did he think you were a creep? that you were a stalker who drew him every hour of the day? you stuttered and tried to stammer out an explanation and apology “i’m sorry-“ but before you could finish,

“you better be sorry! i can’t believe you never told me you could draw! let alone draw so well!” he had a grin on his face looking from you to the sketch in his hands again. you felt your ears heat up “so you don’t think i’m a weirdo stalker creep?” he placed the sketches on the bed as he stood up and walked to you cupping your cheeks

“mi amor, why would i be upset about this, my perfect girlfriend has amazing art skills and decides to draw me of all people to show her talent, i love these with my life, as well as you” as he said this you felt the blood rush to your cheeks as he smiled at you, kissing your face as you giggled, maybe some tears in your eyes.
