#there was this play in college about Aurangzeb and this mysterious lover of his #so there was this girl who was playing her and was so nervous for giving the audition #they had chosen her coz she was also a kathak dancer so character ig? #anyway she was practicing and freaking out more and more coz she couldn't get her lines right #I went over to help her and she was so relieved that she told me to be Aurangzeb for one line so she could practice and recite her part #I said ok #I was supposed to say “toh shayari ka bhi shauq rakhti hain aap?” #she looked at me up and down and whispered “nahi sirf ishq ka” #I STARTED COUGHING SM SHE WAS LIKE KYA HUA ARE YOU OK YOUR GAAL ARE ALL LAAL AND I WAS LIKE MAAAAM??? I am fighting for my life to keep even an ounce of the poetry in these. and I am failing. #anyway rubaaiyaan is my favourite but I also really like udd jayega #and that line in shauq that I used for this gifset is like.....okay.....sometimes romantic lines are good #the wordplay is so much more concise in urdu though....rip to the english language #adventures in gifmaking
