If it's alright, I am really interested in those Screenshots! (Referrering to the Tusken-Jedi post). Thank you for the explanation and the context! Just hearing how A'Sharad has been handled makes me sad. And it's even more bitter once one thinks about how other jedi are allowed to keep their culture and don't have to decide. Also really, how has Dark Woman made it so far. How.
Tumblr media
(For context, this is their first meeting right after Ki-Adi-Mundi gets attacked by a krayt dragon and Sharad's band of Tuskens kills it - specifically A'Sharad does, as a rite of passage.)
Tumblr media
(Ki-Adi-Mundi gets asked a lot to put his filter mask back on so the Tuskens will be more comfortable around him.)
Tumblr media Tumblr media
(This is. after Ki-Adi-Mundi knows that Sharad Hett has been training his son among the Tuskens for at least a decade?? Idk what the line of reasoning was here.)
And then immediately after A'Sharad steps into this fight and stops it by throwing people away with the Force:
Tumblr media
And then as a bonus, the Dark Woman training A'Sharad after Sharad's death. The first one is during the spar, after he's landed a hit on her. The second and third are several minutes after, when A'Sharad makes a comment about how he was holding back because she wasn't his enemy. Also, immediately after her sucker-punching his padawan, Ki-Adi-Mundi jumps in with "yeah she has a point", which. uh, yikes:

If you have any more specific panels you want to see, let me know! My Marvel subscription needs to be good for something, ha.

Sharad Hett was a human and former Jedi Knight. Hett left the Order as he became disillusioned with the Jedi’s lack of humility. After a tragedy prevented him from reconnecting with his family, Hett exiled himself to Tatooine. He became involved with the local Tuskens, eventually becoming accepted into their culture, leading them in battle against the Hutts. Hett was trained by Eeth Koth, and wielded a crimson blade.

“Daughter of the Dewback” Star Wars fanfic
This is an alternate universe story-ish. The character Xiaan Amersu is left in the middle of nowhere Tatooine. She runs into some Tuskens (including Sharad and A’Sharad). The major headcanon part is Xiaan’s master. After Master J'Mikel's death, she must have been assigned another master to learn from. Canon never went into details into this, so I had to make it up. Since she seemed to take Master Oppo Rancisis’ death hard, I figured he must have been her master. If anyone else likes this idea, please feel free to use it in your headcanon for your own stories.
As for this tale, I must admit my favorite part is the cute baby dewback and baby bantha. This fanfic also aided me with later stories because it was one of the first to deal with communication gaps. Xiaan doesn’t speak Tusken, and I found it interesting to write from her point of view, which doesn’t have a full understanding about the conversations going on (The Force is there to help a little). I also got to play with determining more Tusken culture from working this story. You can find it here https://archiveofourown.org/works/16640714#kudos

Anakin meet Master Hett´s at the temple when he was a padawan, he was excited to meet another Jedi from Tatooine. He told Hett about his prodracing and he told Anakin about his tribe and their culture. Anakin was happy to learn that because it helped to remember home but got sad when he remembered Shmi.
Tumblr media
At the beggining of the clone wars Anakin was asigned to work with Hett, at the time Obi-Wan was presumed dead, Anakin conffesed to him what he did on Tatootine to the Tusken Raiders tribe that killed his mother because A´sharad belonged to one of the tribes from Tatooine, he was the only other person he told the truth apart from Padme and Palpatine, Hett told him he had to carry the guilt on his conscience but to be wary of the darkside or else his secret was going to consume him (Comic Legends)

Im always so surprised by how quickly you shoot out these ask aus?? how long do you take to answer because when the anon get going youre just as fast?
This in mind... if you wrote a fic right now what would it be?👀
Ironically I sat on this one Anon lmao
If I'm really in the mood, like when the Shisui anons are in a "feeding frenzy" (😂), then it's as fast as I can type haha but generally these days I sit at least 24hrs on an ask because of timezones, my IRL, and I also like to brood on an idea especially if it's a question I haven't considered before!
Right this moment? Well, it's my current brainrot idea tbh I'm planning on making an actual fic out of it but my hand is stayed by the fact I'm feeling a little... Shisui-predictable again 😅
It's a Shisui crossover, fml
So I've read some genuinely incredible Star Wars fics recently (I will rec some if people ask) and those are some definite inspirations.
(This is the brainchild born from reading Blackkat's fic:
And smilebackwards' series:
-which are beautiful works!)
So.... If Shisui was a Jedi (Master, probably, maybe newly advanced) then he'd 1000% be a Seeker, locating and saving Force-sensitive kids and bringing them back to the Temple. He's either woken up after dying in Narutoverse or he's been reborn, haven't decided yet, but he's got all that military prowess shoved in the back of his head and he's very happily clutching to the Light and the Jedi's teachings on peacefulness, mindfulness, and negotiation. He absolutely knows how to use the Force to Shunshin and stimulate a Genjutsu effect. He also has absolutely created his own Lightsaber Form based on his past life and that's how he became Master.
Then the war starts up.
The Grand Army of the Republic, GAR, is filled with Clone 'meat droid' soldiers who need Jedi to lead them... Shisui is not buying it, he's gonna flip his tits and save these guys. The Jedi council decide that, as they're not the experts here in warfare and it's a kindness of what choices the clones can have, the CC Commanders can pick their own Jedi Generals. The Jedi are called back to the Temple, Shisui rocks up almost late with like five war-torn orphans in his arms, and proceeds (alongside Mace, Obi-wan, Anakin) to be a total fucking BAMF lmao.
(Anakin is on probation after he almost massacred a clan of Sandpeople btw. Master Sharad Hett was in the area and felt the rising Darkness and intervened just in time. Anakin is seriously on thin ice for almost Falling so he's stuck under Obi-wan's direct leadership for the war)
Basically Shisui is picked by Rex (Cody immediately calls dibs on Obi-wan (who speaks Mando'a and has all that diplomacy under his belt) for High General and then the meeting completely goes off the rails as everyone (except Bly lmao) goes ballistic becausethere is a LOT of competition for who gets General Uchiha, holy shit that guy is a fighter) and heads the 501st Battalion! Bonus points if Shisui was the second-to-last Padawan of Dooku so Obi-wan is, like, his lineage-nephew despite being older lmao
(oh maybe shisui is presumed dead, a la Jon Antilles, after a Searcher mission goes tits up so Dooku thinks hes literally lost everyone... And Shisui comes back to find his master has fucked off 🙃)
Now I'm like what colour should his saber be... Like red would be the choice but that's a bleeding Kyber, it can't even be a one off difference like Mace's purple... Maybe gold, I always imagine Shunshin as yellow... Maybe white? Hm... oh it could be just off red, like flame orange, so it scares the shit out of everyone lmao....
Basically I'm shoving Shisui into this situation so that he can 1) be a total fucking BADASS 2) be the designated crush of 90% of the GAR and 3) fix canon without realising it 🤌✨
So, really, just the usual then 😂
Edit: in light of your first question, this answer took me 20 mins lol

I just saw the post you reblogged on Anakin being rascist and I was wondering if you could give me your opinion on something about it? Not the rascism part - that's clear as day. But I haven't been able to get my hands on the comic and have only ever seen snippets of it before. What I've never seen is the panel where Ki-Adi-Mundi tells Anakin that "you've done something I never could" in regards to A'Sharad taking off his headwrap. And tbh? It shocked me, still does. Because we know what the headgear means to the tuskens and combined with the explanation A'Sharad gives Ki-Adi-Mundi for not wearing it anymore, it just seems like a weird reaction? But I don't know if there is some context I'm missing bc I can't find the comic to read. I'm deeply interested in your thoughts on this, but I understand if you would rather not get into it.
There's some context that ties back to A'Sharad's first appearance in Star Wars #10 (1999), which is mainly a story about Sharad Hett and Ki-Adi-Mundi. Basically, Eeth Koth asks Ki-Adi-Mundi to find out if Sharad is alive or dead, and in the background Aurra is hunting Sharad. Ki-Adi-Mundi arrives on Tatooine and is absolutely shocked to find that Sharad has become a Tusken war leader, married a Tusken woman, and had a son.
There is a lot about Mundi just...believing the Tuskens are primitive and uncultured and evil, ignoring what Sharad tells him about their traditions, and getting into trouble for it that A'Sharad usually has to help him out of. It's all really uncomfortable, and it gets more uncomfortable when Aurra kills Sharad and Mundi takes A'Sharad back to the Temple with him to finish training.
And then, for even more uncomfortable fun, the next run starts with Dark Woman pressing A'Sharad about whether he's a Jedi or a Tusken, including calling him an ignorant savage when he scores a hit on her in training and making mocking comments about his ability to learn Basic. There's a fairly strong focus on making A'Sharad pick whether he's Jedi or Tusken, which is what I assume Mundi is referring to in the Republic #59 panels, though I couldn't guarantee it. The consensus of the comics seems to be that A'Sharad not choosing one or the other is going to lead to disaster, is the symptom of a divided heart, is the wrong choice, etc. It's a little gross in multiple ways, tbh.

Hey! I was wondering if in your tusken fic if any tusken would be a force user or have any jedi stories? I think there was one tusken jedi (if i remember right could be wrong!!) and your story has a really cool idea about tusken story telling traditions and memory so was just wondering how/if that might show up, if that makes sense/you dont mind talking about it? Hope you are doing well x
Ooooh I love this ask. Yes that’s Sharad Hett and A’Sharad Hett! Okay so a while ago I was trying to insert some of this in the fic – like you said, with the storytelling culture of the Tuskens it’d make sense for there to be stories of this jedi.
I can't remember what the issue was, but I ended up not using it cause of like timeline issues or something? Idk it was a while ago but I couldn't make it work for some reason. Or maybe I just didn't like the way it treated Tuskens or something. I've definitely purposefully ignored canon a bunch of times when it was shitty. Also I haven't read those comics yet, so I'd worry about misrepresenting the character(s). All this to say, theyre fucking cool, and if I could find a way that felt right to include a mention fo them, I totally would! Open to suggestions for sure.
Or I might make up some new Tusken force user-- I feel like that is for sure still a possibility, especially since Grogu’s now in the mix. Someone’s gotta be like “oh, floating rocks? My uncle does that too!”

literally begging lucasfilm to make at least SOME of eeth’s legends content canon. his connection with mace windu, how he was orphaned and how that impacted his decisions regarding his padawan, sharad hett, crucitorn…
i’m so glad he was saved from the fate of being tossed aside before the clone wars even started but he’s such an interesting character, i wish we had more on him
at the VERY least i wish they’d do something with his daughter. leaving the jedi order, building a family, only to die trying to save his newborn daughter who was stolen by the empire regardless. mira, his wife, is still alive. their daughter is with the sith. THERE’S SO MUCH POTENTIAL COME ON
and to think of how much more impactful his whole exile would be if legends was canon. he grew up without a family, with nobody except the jedi. that’s why he supported sharad when he left to go find his family. because he last least wanted his padawan to have what he couldn’t
to add that to canon makes his death so much more tragic. because he had left the order, he had found a purpose that fulfilled him, he found a wife and happiness and the family he never had, and then before he could even touch his new baby, everything was taken away from him by the very person he helped convince the council to allow into the order
Tumblr media
just. look how defeated he is here. he KNOWS he’s going to lose. he can’t beat anakin. this is seconds before he dies. IMAGINE HOW MUCH BETTER THIS WOULD BE IF THEY GAVE HIM HIS LEGENDS BACKSTORY
just some Thoughts

Would love to see a version of Sharad Hett in the Star Wars Black Series lineup. Anyone know if his timeline fits with the war lord who trained Boba Fett? . . . AU where, shortly pre-canon, Sharad Hett takes A'Sharad into Mos Espa for some supplies (because merchants tend to react better to him than to native Tuskens), and catches the edges of 7yo Anakin's power and just goes "Oh. Oh Shit."

At this point I’m willing to accept anything if it means A’Sharad back in canon 😆. I kind of liked Darth Krayt tho, he was an interesting sith

had a really weird thought re: tusken jedi, but a cool one.
tuskens use slugthrowers, right? infamously unblockable by lightsaber
say a’sharad hett (for example) wanted something really dead. and a massive glob of fast-moving molten metal would do it. I think you already see where I’m going with this.
yes, I’m suggesting “get all your buddies to aim at your lightsaber at the same time and really ruin the day of whoever’s on the other side of that thick metal armor” is something in his playbook.
boom.
