1. How many works do you have on Ao3? 112
2. What’s your total Ao3 word count? 338,559
3. What fandoms do you write for?
Mostly: Stargate Atlantis, Star Trek Voyager, Stargate SG-1, and recently added X-Files. I have also written a handful of things for The Rookie, I once wrote a gazillion things for Castle and Bones, and I've written for Due South, Cupid, Agent Carter, etc. It's a crazy quilt of "they're pretty; they should kiss."
[I also admit, shamefully, that I wrote 26 fics for Brad/Claire back in the Bon Appetit Test Kitchen days. They were posted under my other pen name, badtemperedchocolate.]
4. What are your top five fics by kudos?
dark switch (Stargate SG-1, Sam/Jack; a re-imagining of what might have happened once Jack returned from Edora)

5. Do you respond to comments?
Yes! I try to. Sometimes I'm slow, sometimes I miss one, but I try to respond.
6. What is the fic you wrote with the angstiest ending?
Hmm. I don't do a lot of sad stuff, I guess? I guess I see the end of fall in place as angsty, just because it's in line with the real end of the season (John and Monica are on the run, with everything they had now long gone).
7. What’s the fic you wrote with the happiest ending?
Uhhhhh. Maybe The Woman in the Snow? "And then I fixed it and they got to be happy, finally, unlike canon. The end."
8. Do you get hate on fics?
Not really. Many moons ago, I got some rude comments on Castle fic, but that was a long time back, and it wasn't bad. So not really.
9. Do you write smut? If so, what kind?
I have, but I rarely do anymore. For me it has to be part of a larger romance; I really can't do pwp. I much prefer a tasteful fade-to-black which means I don't have to keep calculating bare skin and body parts 😂
10. Do you write crossovers? What’s the craziest one you’ve written?
Not often, but I did write one: Stolen Sky, a Castle/Firefly crossover. iirc, it was the first, or maybe one of the first, Mal/Kate stories? It did pretty well, and it was funny reading comments that said "I only watched one of these shows, and this fic convinced me to watch the other one, too." It was originally posted on ffnet; I have since transferred it to AO3.
11. Have you ever had a fic stolen?
Yes! Only once that I know of. It was a (not very good) (since deleted) Bones fic that got stolen in its entirety; all the thief did was change character names. I reported it, and it was taken down.
12. Have you ever had a fic translated?
I have! It was very flattering.
13. Have you ever co-written a fic before?
Yes! I co-wrote Castle fics with chezchuckles, Cartographicals, sandianecarter, and shimmeryshine back in the day. It was a DELIGHT. I would love to do it again!! (looking at you, @mylittleredgirl 😜)
14. What’s your all time favorite ship?
I honestly don't know if I could pick just one. John/Elizabeth from Stargate Atlantis, Janeway/Chakotay from Voyager, John/Monica from X-Files, and Castle/Beckett are all up there. It rotates based on what I'm watching at any given time.
15. What’s a WIP you want to finish but doubt you ever will?
I have this wonderful giant Voyager "missed connection" fic in my brain, where KJ and Chakotay belatedly realize they met at the Academy and fell a little bit in love in just one silly, lighthearted, adventurous evening of running around San Francisco together. I have a very long, detailed outline for it; we'll see if I ever tackle it for real.
16. What are your writing strengths?
@mylittleredgirl would say fluff, and I don't disagree. I love characters bantering, I love teasing, I love when they're kind and heartfelt to each other. I think I'm good at little moments like that.
UPDATE: LR has reported that my strength is, in fact, "FEELINGS."
17. What are your writing weaknesses?
I do not enjoy writing smut; sometimes it's good for the story, but I do not like writing it and I don't think I'm particularly good at it. I have trouble fleshing a thing out from first idea to polished product. Physical accounts of action baffle me sometimes. Also, I often find it hard to come up with convincing conflict. I'm fluffy at heart, I guess.
18. Thoughts on writing dialogue in another language in fic?
It can be effective, I guess? But there's usually a way around it if necessary. I haven't really had to deal with it, so I don't have strong feelings about it.
19. First fandom you wrote for?
Oh shit, I think this was Numb3rs. It was a really fun crime show on CBS featuring a mathematician who did Big Complicated Math to help the FBI solve crimes. I wrote a bunch of fics for it, they were all absolutely terrible, and yes, I have long since deleted them.
20. Favorite fic you’ve written?
Letters From War, a Voyager fic where KJ and Chakotay keep in correspondence with each other through the Dominion War. It's the sequel to By Firelight, but took a long, long time to put together, and once a few conversations and ideas clicked into place, it felt like it all came together. I was happy with how it turned out.

1. What's the name of one of your Wips?
Men Like Us (Daredevil, Matt Murdoch/Vladimir Ranskahov), I had the idea as I brainstormed and I really want to keep it.
2. Describe a Wip in the format of __+__=__
A/B/O + Celebrity AU = it’s 5pm somewhere tour (Shadowhunters, Malec).
3. What tags/warnings will one of your Wips need if you share it?
Bad Friend Scott (Teen Wolf, Sterek), but I’m trying to redeem him! I often use the canon typical violence tag as a warning otherwise.
4. Alternative title to a Wip?
OCAU (Shadowhunters, Malec) is actually titled It’s 5pm somewhere (run up to me) I just kept the name of the doc x)
In the same vein “TMI” and “Skyrim” (Shadowhunters, Malec) used separately to refer to the same fic The Mortal Instruements: Skyrim ^^’
Malec: The DUFF (Shadowhunters, you guessed it) is also a good one but I haven’t came up with a title yet. Batman AU (Shadowhunters, Malec) which is actually not a Batman AU? lmao
5. Which Wip are you most likely to update/finish next?
My Teen Wolf Sterek fic for Fandom Trumps Hate seems to be gearing up to be the next complete fic but who knows!
6. What is one of your Wip's document title, not its name but what you have it saved as?
Good luck with this one: DWS!MP (Teen Wolf, Sterek).
7. Post any sentence from your Wip?
The Sheriff position is elected after all.
Plot twist is it not for a Teen Wolf fic (Stargate SG-1, Sam/Ba'al) x)
8. A scrapped idea from your wip?
There was a verbal fight with Alec early on in Skyrim and Magnus running off and ending in a different part of the map that @spark-draws and I scrapped because it would fit better later in the story ^^
9. What's a story you'd love to write but have yet to start?
So many! I’ve actually posted a lot of my old wips these past few months as part of my “WIPS Wrapped for Christmas” challenge and most of the short ones are out now.
I really want to get to Mummy!Magnus soon so it’s on top of my list because it’s not a multi-chapter, or so I believe so far ^^
10. How many Wips are you actively working on?
Usually just one at a time, although sometimes I take a break to write a palate cleanser (or several) before picking up my main WIPs.
11. Is there a scene you're struggling to write right now?
Yes actually! I’m rewriting a scene from Teen Wolf season 1 when Chris and a couple of hunters corner Derek at the gas station to intimidate him but I don’t want to just retell canon so I’m struggling to find the right angle to make the scene feel new and interesting.

Apparently Seasons 9 and 10 of Stargate SG-1 were initially conceived as a sequel spin-off called "Stargate Command"
I have never cared much for the last 2 seasons (except Ba'al), but thinking about them as a sequel makes the transition make more sense

Nope! I think most writing loses its essence in translation.

Yes! It was so much fun!!!

Probably Daniel/Sha're, or Daniel/Vala (Stargate) but also partial to Steve/Nat (MCU), and Matt/Elektra (Daredevil). But X reader fics are the most fun you can have 💘
15. What's a wip you want to finish but doubt you ever will?
I have a dirty Daredevil X reader languishing in my wips. Might get around to it when I watch the new season.
16. What are your writing strengths?
Character voices and attentions to detail. People usually comment on those things. I'm also good at bringing the Drama™️. There may be some screaming, crying and throwing up 😂
17. What are your writing weaknesses?
Keeping it short and sweet, my slow burns really are slow burns. I have to pay specific attention to pacing and linking scenes well. I do way too much Research™️ .
18. Thoughts on writing dialogue in another language for a fic?
I would if I had a native language speaker to proof read it for me.
As a reader I find it annoying if I have to keep moving back to the chapter notes to check translations. It interrupts the flow.
19. First fandom you wrote for?
The X-files but I was a kid, does that count? Supernatural is probably more relevant.
20. Favourite fic you've ever written?
Honestly, I love my two novels, I'm pretty attached to them 🥰 they've been such a journey, personally and in terms of developing my writing skills.

I don't like to write angsty endings. "No Redemption" is probably the only one.

It's most of them. I always want a happy ending.

I don't think so. I did get some because I shipped a couple where people couldn't get over the factor that the female character grew up. Sure she was 12 years old in Season 1, but by season 10? There's references of her in college.

Not really, but I started to writing a Walking Dead/Stargate SG-1.

Finishing a story. I'm so sorry WIPs. Plot bunnies bite me all the time.

I've done it. Usually it's google translate or something that's used within the fandom. Lately, I just skip the translation and use italics with a note to indicate something being spoken in another language so the readers won't need to scroll to find the translations or I don't butcher the language.
19. First fandom you wrote for?
Shit…that was 20+ years ago. I think it was probably Sailor Moon. Possibly DragonBall Z.
20. Favorite fic you’ve written?
One of my favorites…it's almost 10k of a WIP that I haven't even published yet. Angsty time loop Doctor Who fix where I make the Doctor and Donna relieve a certain day over and over again until he can "fix" the thing that went wrong.
But one of my faves that's publish is: you might think I'm crazy, the way I've been cravin'

So I thought you would like to know that I have started watching the entire Stargate franchise from the beginning.
I watched the movie, then started on SG-1.
I'm currently on season 5, watching the episode where McKay is sent it to help Carter figure out how to get Teal'c out of the stargate.
Now I understand the loathing I'd read from some people about him. He is a total ass in this episode.
I mean he's arrogant in Atlantis, but his social insecurities made him more relatable, especially after encountering his own mortality and his alternate from another reality.
In this episode, he's just the cliche of an arrogant, misogonistic jerk.
Okay, I have to admit I haven't watched all of Stargate SG-1. I'm more of an Atlantis fan. I've seen all of seasons 9 & 10 (I got interested by seeing Ben Browder and Claudia Black from Farscape). I've seen bits and pieces of the rest. I have not seen Rodney's first episode. I've heard that he's awful, though.
My problem with Rodney on Atlantis is that I think they overused him. How many character centric episodes did he have? My second problem was that his character progress was always wiped out by the end of the episode.
All that said, I do love Rodney. He's my third favorite, after Elizabeth and John.

4-29-24 Progress/Updates!!!
EDIT: Holy god, I forgot to add the like 7 prolougue parts to the outline below...Jesus christ... This is is gonna be a LONG work, guys...

HOLY SHIT I did ALOT of writing/edits these last few days!
Also tragically remembered that I wanted all flashbacks/past sequences to be monochrome (except for blood, fire, significant objects), so ha I wasted sooo much time last week coloring the Chapter 0's first few pages! But it looks sck as FUCK, almost like Noir!
Thankfully I finalized the main plot/arc differences BEFORE drawing too ahead. Im SO excited with the filler content/edits Ive made, SG has a very VERY compelling charcahter development plan/backstory thats REALLY gonna take what the original Rough Day already gives us about her to a different FUCKING level.
So now that my major writing-fever/panick in getting the overarching charcater developments finalized has FINALLY ended, I can share the almost finalized sub-chapter titles! Maybe you can gage some of the struggles well be seeing by the titles alone! Also for the sake of organization, Ive divided Rough Day (ABCR) into 4 'books/seasons', with the last one obviously changing/being altered based on the last few chapters that @no-droids releases whenver theyre ready!

2024 marks 20 years since NCIS Season 1- Left for Dead to NCIS Season 2- Chained, JAG Season 9- A Girl's Best Friend to JAG Season 10- The Four Percent Solution, The West Wing Season 5- The Stormy Present to The West Wing Season 6- NSF Thurmont, Stargate SG-1 Season 8- the first half, Stargate Atlantis Season 1 and the first seven episodes of House MD premiered for the first time.
It's also been ten years since NCIS Season 11- Kill Chain to Honor Thy Father, NCIS: Los Angeles Season 5- Allegiance- NCIS: Los Angeles Season 6- Humbug and NCIS: New Orleans Season 1- Musician Heal Thyself- Chasing Ghosts aired.

3. what fandoms do you write for? I claim in all my bios that I am a multi-fandom whore, because it's true. I have written for...in order of recency...Star Trek: Strange New Worlds, The Wheel of Time (TV), Babylon 5, The Doctor Blake Mysteries, City Homicide, Call the Midwife, Miss Fisher's Murder Mysteries, The Librarians, Scott & Bailey, Leverage, Stargate SG-1, Sanctuary, The West Wing, Battlestar Galactica, Bones, and Homicide: Life on the Street. And once upon a time, when the internet and I were young, I wrote for Star Trek: Voyager.

I love that this is a mix of new fic and ancient fic, though I admittedly am a small fandom writer who does not do the kind of numbers that folks in the big playgrounds do. But that's okay, every kudos is a gift.
5. do you respond to comments? Every single one, forever and always.
6. What is the fic you wrote with the angstiest ending? I don't write a lot of true angst. The fic I just published, the wheel of the headlong year (Star Trek: Strange New Worlds) has a complicated ending, because it had to. Is it angsty? Only one person so far has told me they cried through it, so you must decide for yourself.
7. What’s the fic you wrote with the happiest ending? All the Means to Make Us One (The Doctor Blake Mysteries). It's wedding night fic. Lots of happiness. Plus it's really hot.
8. Do you get hate on fics? Except for the time I sort of started a flame war? Nah. I don't play in big enough sandboxes for that.
9. Do you write smut? If so, what kind? I do! I write the character driven this-is-part-of-the-character-and-story-arc kind of smut.
11. Have you ever had a fic stolen? No, but I have vivid memories of when @pellucidthings did and I went sockpuppeting about it.
10. Do you write crossovers? What’s the craziest one you’ve written? I really don't. My stories are almost entirely responses to canon, and so unless there's a canon crossover, I'm not likely to ever write a crossover.
12. Have you ever had a fic translated? No, but that would be super cool.
13. Have you ever co-written a fic before? No, but I live and die by my beta process, which is highly collaborative. All words are my own, though.
14. What’s your all time favorite ship? All time? I tend to think of my ships as seasons of my life, so it's hard to have a favorite. I am a shipper at heart, and so many of my ships have given me lifelong friends and wonderful memories and a couple of life lessons along the way. If there's a ship in a story I wrote, it was my favorite when I wrote it, and will always hold a piece of my heart.
15. What’s a WIP you want to finish but doubt you ever will? I just finished a WIP I started in AUGUST and I thought I'd never finish it (go read, feed the author, here) but I DID, gosh darn it. So nothing at the moment.
16. What are your writing strengths? I get in characters heads immensely well, and I find their voices immensely well.
17. What are your writing weaknesses? Plot?? I guess? Has to happen? Sometimes? To advance the character? I think?
18. Thoughts on writing dialogue in another language in fic? Hah, no. Unless it was Klingon, which would be amusing.
19. First fandom you wrote for? In terms of something that got actually published somewhere, Star Trek: Voyager.
20. Favorite fic you’ve written? Favorite? Just one? Nah. But here are a few:
Tomorrow's Dust (Babylon 5): Susan celebrates her first Chanukah on Minbar.
Cultural Drift (Stargate SG-1): Daniel comes to terms with Sam and Jack's relationship. Not my first story of the modern era or with this beta or even for this fandom, but the one I always trace back as the real start of my journey as a writer.
life, and breath, and all things (Call the Midwife): Shelagh's journey from childhood to leaving the convent.
for the possession of our smallest sensations (Wheel of Time): Moiraine comes to terms with losing her powers, post S1.
And because the newest one is always a favorite (and because I'm really proud of this story), the wheel of the headlong year (Star Trek: Strange New Worlds): Marie Batel survives the Gorn. But what comes next is hard.
