Remnant Delivery Crab Island DTIYS 3/10
This is Crab Island, a place with a great atmosphere. The Fazbear Funtime Rental Service rented this private island for their staff so they could take a day off from their daily deliveries. Some could call this a summer vacation.
There are so many activities to do around here, taking a walk outside the house Holly is practicating her archery... which might not be a good idea to do with more people
[Details about the DTIYS on the replies]

The following has robot gore. A robot gets torn open but he's ok. Also, you haven't met Saide yet. She's from Morcant's backstory and she will be elaborated on in a later story. Finally before we get into the plot, this art contains my FNAF OC, Morcant, and two cannon characters: the Aincent Equinox skins for Mangle and Springtrap from FNAF AR. If being dead wasn't enough, Morcant had to deal with being hunted by animatronics who aren't even posessed. He had always wondered about some of the design choices regarding the animatronic suit he had posessed. Why was it's chest made out of weaker material. Why is there a metal heart connected to almost nothing. He found out soon enough. Imagine the concept of a human sacrifice, but the sacrifice is always brought back, only to be killed over and over again. Some people say this fate would be fitting for some, but then why is this happening to an innocent technician who was murdered by his (now former) boss. His only crime was killing the man who killed him, and then vowing to never harm anyone after. The truth is that he does NOT deserve this treatment; plain and simple. But life is a cruel a story with no morals; bad things happen to good people, the company he used to work for looms over its former employees like a sadistic shadow, and those who deserve the best always get handed the worst. =°•.🌹 Story 🌹.•°=
°*°•°*°•°*°•°*°•°*°•°*°•🌹•°*°•°*°•°*°•°*°•°*°•°*°
Since Morcant's death, Saide had gotten a new job at another robotics company. It was a small robotics company who mostly did contract work, and whilst thier current contractee was the same company as her former place of employment, she didn't mind. Her new boss was practically like a father to her, even though he wasn't able to speak at the minute. Despite his muteness and newfound preferences of writing down what he wanted to say or using a sound board, the sheer fact that he communicated at all made Saide feel welcome here. He had also written down that he'd rather be called by his name than 'boss'. When she asked about calling him dad, he jokingly said to go ahead, and from that moment on, Saide had called Charles nothing but 'dad'. Apparently, a few months prior, they had some issues regarding the circus themed set of animatronics, and that was why the other founder of this place, a very tall blonde named Tristan, was covered in scars. Saide had noticed the scars, but hadn't said anything about it, but hearing about magician Mangle made her want to know more, but also share her own story. But she also had some other questions. She asked about the Ancient Equinox animatronics. The green haired girl named Nora, who was the only person of normal height here other than herself, said that they had to put together some of them. Saide then found herself talking about Morcant. The words fell out her mouth, and she couldn't stop them. Part of her felt embarrassed, but the rest of her wanted to say everything. About how much of a good friend he was, about the animatronic they had to make to go with those skins, and how Morcant was killed. But she didn't stop there. She talked about how one of the guards saw the animatronic kill her former employer that this was backed up by not only surveillance footage, but also the blueprint of the animatronic that Morcant had written a note on after he died and posessed the suit. She then talked about Morcant's final gift to her: the necklace she had on right now, and the last coffee he had made for her. She had been out of work for a while, and came to this place because making robots was the only thing she was good at. Everyone was looking at her and she thought the worst of it, but when the dark skinned pink haired lady, who was named Isolde, but preferred Izzy, asked if she was okay with hugs, she knew they felt sympathy for her. No, this wasn't just sympathy. This was empathy. They had experienced near losses at the hands of the inventions of thier contractee, and Saide was simply the first whose loss was permanent. The five of them shared a hug whilst Saide cried her eyes out. Later that day, Nora came up to Saide and said, "hey, um, there are robots walking around outside. They're the equinox ones. I didn't think these things were being sent out any more. I'd be careful if I were you." "Right," Saide replied. She knew that the Magician animatronics signaled danger for Tristan, and the Arctic animatronics signaled danger to Charles. The other ladies didn't know which set was after them, but they gathered that the equinox ones must be after Saide. "I'll be careful." The rest of the day went by smoothly. Whilst Charles had to be reminded that he wasn't allowed to speak whilst his vocal chords were healing, that was the extent of any real issues. Whilst Saide had made some small mistakes when working on assembly, she didn't get yelled at at all; she was given help and asked to speak up sooner if she was having trouble with anything in the future. Her walk home wasn't much of an issue either. The animatronics had left by the time she had started heading home, but she kept and eye out and locked the door behind her. She went to get a cup of tea, but her phone buzzed. Before she had left work for the day, Nora had installed an app on Saide's phone that let her see where all the dispatched animatronics were, and she noticed there were three headed towards her house. Springtrap, Mangle, and an unknown. She heard a knock at the back door. "Please let me in!" The voice was familiar. She knew she probably shouldn't open the door, but she checked her app, and the unknown was at the door. She saw every other type of animatronic had an icon, so she knew that this one was something strange. Taking a gulp of air and calling herself an idiot, she opened the door, hiding herself behind it as it opened. The thing that was at the door barreled in and immediately got out of line of sight of the door. Saide then closed the door. "What are you?" She asked, trying to find where the mystery animatronic had run off to. "Those animatronics are after me. I don't know what they want or if they are even sentient or if they're just programmed to hunt me, but you've got to help me." It said, its voice sounding so familiar, but she couldn't quite remember. As she turned the corner to the kitchen, all she saw was the blur of something running away. "But who are you?" Saide asked again, wanting to know who this was. She had an idea but knew better than to get her hopes up. He continued to hide, and Saide noticed the tracker buzzing like crazy. "They're here! You have to hold them off. You know how to do that, right?" The mystery man said, still just out of sight. "No?" Saide replied in a panic, "How do I hold them off?" "Use this!" The hiding man tossed Saide a 2 in one torch and stun gun. "For Springtrap, wait for it to rush you, then zap it. For Mangle, here's a Freddy mask. Pick up it's parts when it drops them. I know you'll catch on fast. And remember, red eyes: look away." "Right," Saide nodded, "let's do this." With a deep breath, Saide went up to the front door and unlocked it, but she didn't need to open it as it swung open as a Springtrap animatronic with a teal hue to its suit wearing the armour of an Aztec warrior burst into the house and Saide was only just able to dive out of the way. 'First fight of two. Let's go.' She thought to herself as she prepared to take on Springtrap. The animatronic would blink in and out of existence, but it was clear that it was still there. Something was just masking it's existence. She already knew they could mask their presence - she had helped prototype some of the robots and as a result, had to test this stuff was working - but being on the receiving end was a whole other story. She remembered "red eyes, look away" and repeated such under her breath, but she could bearly tell what colour the glowing eyes of Curse even were. As it twitched in front of her, she stared it down and hoped for the best. Then she noticed it's eyes change and they looked like they had a faint hue of red. Pain shot through her head as she turned around to look away, and soon after she turned her head away, the garbled static noises stopped. She rubbed her strained neck as she continued to wait to see where the animatronic would appear next. The animatronic then appeared again, but instead of standing still, rushed towards her. Her hand brushed over the stun trigger, but before it got in range, it vanished. 'How many times will it do this?' she thought to herself as she registered the rapid beating of her heart. The animatronic appeared in front of her again, it's eyes glowing yellow. "Not red," she muttered to herself as she stared at the animatronic as it convulsed in front of her, filling her vision with visions of static. She shook her head to shake off these visions. The eyes were still yellow. She didn't look away. The robot disappeared again. Saide then resumed looking around, trying to find the animatronic, and she fixed her eyes on a rippling point. It looked like the distortion the heat from a flame would make, but she knew this was neither heat not hallucination; this ripple was masking the animatronic. She kept an eye on it, and Curse appeared again. She started at the animatronic as it rushed at her again, only to vanish before it fell in range of her stun gun. Swiftly, the robot appeared again, standing still, emmiting a tell-tale robotic garble, eyes glowing yellow. It convulsed once again before vanishing, leaving Saide to look around for it once again, but it didn't leave her for long. It swiftly appeared, eyes yellow again, until they turned red. Saide turned away again and waited for the noises to stop so she could turn around once again. This was taking too long, but she couldn't get impatient; for all she knew, this robot could easily kill both her and the mysterious stranger who had placed his life in her hands. After a deep breath, she continued looking for signs of where the animatronic was. Another ripple, and it appeared, standing still again. Eyes red. Saide looked away. "How many more times will it do this!" She growled as she waited for the robotic garble to stop, her heart beating far faster than what was considered safe. If she wasn't currently in a life or death scenario against an animatronic rabbit decked out to look like an Aztec warrior, she'd have went straight to the hospital, but fear and anxiety does make the heart race, and the legs weak, and the arms ache. Dizziness tried to overtake her, but she wouldn't let it; she had to win this. Breaking through the ripples, Curse rushed at her again. As he stepped over the invisible boundary that Saide marked in her head, she pushed the trigger of her stun gun, causing wave after wave of electricity to zap through Curse, rendering him harmless. She had a moment to breathe, but it wasn't over yet, because as soon as Springtrap was bested, a woman's voice came into play, lamenting existence in one voice, but a second voice, likely built into the modified casing, spoke about hunting down an explorer. Saide remembered the mask. She'd need it here. Sometimes, the animatronic would charge at her, and she would wear the mask. If it's eyes were red, she would look away. Then, it complained about a missing peice of itself in its first voice. Saide looked around and scooped it up in a panic. The animatronic then begun circling around the room as they were known to do, charging at her on the occasion. Soon, as second part was dropped, and she scooped it up almost immediately. Then, it charged, and kept charging. Saide found herself looking away from it more than she was looking at it. As the animatronics second voice rattled off another line about a meddling medium, she noticed the first voice lamenting the loss of another part. Saide quickly sprung to action and scooped up the peice. Then, the mangle charged at her, screaming that it wanted to become whole again. In a panic, she froze, but the machine shorted out before it reached her. "So that's that hu?" Saide looked around, victorious. She couldn't believe she had managed to take on Springtrap and Mangle back to back - with a little help of course - but something was off. "Where the hell did they go!" Saide was back on high alert, looking around and trying to spot where the animatronics were. They had left some parts behind, but they had gone, and she dashed out the front door to try and find out where they had gone. She bearly believed what she saw. The two animatronics had grabbed something that looked like a human. Curse had the mystery robot - no, person - slung over his shoulder in an over the shoulder carry. Saide could clearly see the face of the person she had been trying to protect from these machines. "Morcant!" She yelled out, recognising the animatronic, and knowing exactly who it was posessed by. She had found him again, but hadn't been able to see him. But now it was too late. "No," she told herself, running out the house, chasing after the animatronics, "I'm not losing you again!" She ran down the street and even though she was running as fast as she could, she was still losing ground to the animatronics. When they turned a corner, she ran to where she last saw them and saw them turn another corner. She had to keep them in line of sight, but her legs could only move so fast and she was exhausted. All she had was the two in one torch and stun gun that Morcant had left her. As she turned the next corner, she caught a glimpse of the animatronic turning another corner. She was panting and her mouth was dry. She could bearly breathe, but wasn't about to give up. She had to walk to keep going, and by the time she got to the next junction, the animatronics were no longer in sight. She booted up the tracker, but the animatronics were nowhere to be found. It looks like once she bested them, they were no longer considered "deployed", so couldn't be tracked. A wave of grief washed over her. She hadn't just lost Morcant once, but twice. Fear and pain welled up inside her as her knees shook. "No," the words came out in a half sob half shriek. Anguish shot through her nervous system as the ground grew closer, but her foot planted itself ahead to steady her as a second wave of something else coursed through her veins. Adrenaline. She had to find Morcant. She had to search for him, but where would she start? It was a massive city, but she could already rule out half of it due to the directions already taken. She didn't even register that she was putting one foot in front of the other as she deduced where the animatronics were taking Morcant. She had already dashed to the next intersection and saw where she was. To the left was to go towards the local park. To go forward was to cary on towards the town centre. She took a left. Forward again to get to the park. Right was an alternate way into town. Forward. But why. Her thoughts were a blur, but she managed to peice little snippets together as she ran. There was that old looking building in the park that had been abandoned for years. That old half built bathroom building that had all the brickwork in place but never had an interior bar one main internal wall splitting it in half and your usual wall that blocked line of sight of the bathroom when you entered, and it never had any water for that matter either. If the animatronics were going to take him anywhere, based off of thier design and the gut instinct that the animatronics appeared to want to keep what they did from being seen by anyone, then this was the place. As she approached the decaying building, she had a choice to make. Left or right. The old and abandoned bathroom block was just two empty rooms. Both sides have an identical but mirrored layout, with a circular window facing the outside. There was only one difference between the two segments other than the graffiti on the outside: one had a finished window, whilst the other had nothing more than a stone circle where the window was due to be installed. This also happened to be the window where the evening sunset fell right into it, and it was at this moment she knew that the right hand side, the one with the empty stone circle for a window, would be where she would find Morcant. She had a terrible feeling as to why this was the right choice, but she knew it was. She just knew. With the Mangles serpent theme, Springtrap's warrior theme, and Morcant's mixed explorer and medium theme, she had a gut feeling as to not only why this room was the right choice, but also let her know what she may see. If her hunch was correct, then she had to prepare herself to relive a worse form of a haunting memory. As she approached the boarded up door, she took a deep breath of the cold air. It didn't calm her down, but it did ground her somewhat. She placed her hands on the plywood that acted as a barrier between everyone else and the inside of this unfinished bathroom and it moved far too easily. She knew that teenagers came to this building to smoke, but something felt unnatural about this. She gently moved the plywood out her way and snuck in, being careful as to not make a single sound as she reached the end of the wall that would have acted as a barrier between the outside and the bathrooms, if they had ever been finished. She willed herself to look round the corner. She had to hold her breath to stop a scream from falling out of her mouth. The animatronics didn't see her yet, but she could see them. She saw them holding Morcant by the arms. The seemed to be saying something, but Saide didn't hear. She couldn't hear anything. She looked at Morcant, and she could swear that if the animatronic suit he was in could cry, his face would be soaked in tears. He looked terrified as he looked Saide dead in the eyes. Was he silently screaming for help or willing her to run away. Saide didn't know; she found herself unable to do either. Her feet wouldn't budge and her arms wouldn't move. Her head wouldn't even tilt as she watched the animatronics unhand Morcant for a brief second, only to grab him by the collar before speaking again. Were the animatronics chanting something? She couldn't hear and didn't know, but Morcant seemed to know. He seemed distressed, but also compliant, as if he had given up all hope. Almost as if he had been through this before. After what must have only been a minute but felt like an eternity, the animatronics spun Morcant around so he was facing them. Saide then noticed the rock that had been dragged into the building. Scratches on the ground were a big tell that this rock hadn't always been here, and she knew that this rock had been dragged in here for a reason. But that raised the question of how long it had been here for. The animatronics kept talking, Saide didn't know who to, but she kept noticing new things. She saw some metal cables on the ground, similar to this used in suits like the animatronic Morcant posessed. Something bad was going to happen to Morcant, and she had a good idea as to what it was. The two animatronics grabbed Morcant by the shoulders and pushed him backwards and down so that he was lying face up on the rock. Morcant tried to struggle free, but it was obvious that the other animatronics were far stronger than he was. After all, his suit was a prototype, whilst the others were finished products, but even though this was the case, she couldn't help but have a horrible gut feeling that Morcant's robotic shell was made to be weaker for more reasons than just that. Morcant struggled momentarily, but the grip of Serpent Mangle and Curse were far too strong. He didn't scream, even though he could. He simply silently wept and Saide swore she saw red tears fall from his eyes. In one of Serpent Mangle's free hands, it was holding a stone dagger that seemed bear intricate carvings underneath a thin layer of oil stains. Mouth moving as if it were still talking, or perhaps chanting, it plunged the dagger into Morcant's chest cavity. The sound of stone on metal was a far call from the sound of metal on flesh, but she knew that in this moment, those two sounds were the same thing. A crack filled the air as the metal of Morcant's chest cavity was torn open, and Saide found herself frozen to the spot. Sadies mind rolled back to the day she lost Morcant the first time. She had saw him bleeding out on the break room floor with a gash across his neck. And here he was now, pinned to a rock with his chest cavity torn open. She couldn't do anything to save him then, and maybe it was too late to save him now, but she couldn't let that stop her. She had to remind herself that Morcant was dead; the body he had was a suit; he was right there in front of her in pain but unable to die. She had to do something. In one swift motion she pulled out her stun gun and rushed at the animatronics. Serpent Mangle was holding the knife, so she zapped that one first. The stone dagger fell to the ground with a sharp clatter as she swiftly changed target and zapped Curse. The world moved slowly around her, and she didn't know how long the animatronics would stay stunned for, so she zapped Curse again then made sure Serpent Mangle had been thoroughly electrocuted. She knew they wouldn't stay in this stunned state for long, but it was long enough; it had to be long enough and she'd make it so. Whilst the animatronics were temporarily non-functional, Saide scooped up Morcant in a bridal style carry. She didn't know if she'd make it even a few steps, but her legs were moving independently of herself as she started with a walk. Then she was able to run. When they were finally out of the wretched building, Saide didn't stop. She kept running and once they were in the middle of the filed of grass, Saide had noticed that it had gotten dark and that nobody was around. Before she could fully understand what had just happened, she collapsed onto the grass. The weight of her exhaustion and the animatronic in her arms causing her to fall like a ton of bricks. To her suprise, Morcant didn't stay limp in her arms as his corpse did all those months ago. He rolled out and immediately started assessing the damage to his suit. He quietly patched up his suit as best as he could without any spare parts or tools, and he sighed as he realised that he'd need quite a bit to replace the torn metal. At least it was under the shirt - which was the same old button up, but the hot glue that had been applied to spots on the shoulders and back had long since peeled off - so the months worth of patch job repairs couldn't be seen. He then looked up at Saide and froze. "Saide?" "Yes?" Morcant looked like he was on the verge of tears, and Saide swore that she saw the robot smile. "Saide you didn't have to -" "No, I did." Saide interrupted, "I didn't want to lose you again." They both sat quietly on the grass for a long few seconds before Morcant spoke up again. "You didn't need to save me. Every time someone gets both of these animatronics with that skin delivered, they hunt me down." Morcant looked at the ground as he spoke, "they chase me down so that I'm at their destination, then if the recipient fails, the animatronics do what you just saw, but they do it in front of the person who ordered them." "By it, you mean rip open your chest?" Saide didn't like that Morcant was being so vague, but had a horrible gut feeling as to why he was being so vague. "Yes. And if the person wins but doesn't get lucky enough to capture the animatronics, then what you just saw happened. They drag me away. I've only managed to escape a few times." Morcant was shaking slightly. Saide didn't know weather this was due to his chest cavity being broken or if he was scared. Or was it both. "Saide," Morcant continued, "this is the first time someone has gone out of thier way to rescue me. Almost every other time, the animatronics get to sedate thier weird bloodlust, and part of me is scared that this will make them more agressive." Morcant gripped at the tear in his chest cavity as if it were a bleeding wound. "It sucks, and I hate it, but I can't die from that, so that's some consolation. Even though it hurts. This suit is like... It's like my new body, and if it gets damaged, I feel pain, and when they tear me open and pull me apart from the inside, I feel everything a normal person would, and it scares me every time." Morcant started off as seemingly calm, but became increasingly more shaky and Saide swore that he looked like he was crying. Saide knew neither what to say or do. Whilst she had been mourning the death of her best friend, said friend was running for his life, experiencing the pain of death over and over. She wrapped her arms around Morcant and cried. "I missed you so much," she sobbed, her voice and body shaking, finally allowing her body to release all of its pent up fear at once. "I missed you too," Morcant replied, letting himself shake as he let the strange tears the dripped from his robotic form's eyes take his fear with them. Soon, it was pitch black overhead, and even though it was cold and they wanted to go home, they both found it difficult to stand. Morcant figured that his problem may have been some broken wires and a lack of focus due to fear, but Saide's was pure exhaustion and fear, so they figured they'd rest for a little while longer. This rest was interrupted by the light of a torch being shone in their direction. "Are you two ok?" A brunette man asked, clearly concerned for the well-being of both the woman and the machine she was with. "Yes and no," Saide replied, "Morcant had his chest torn open by some robots, and I saved him." "Can either of you stand?" The man asked, wondering how long these two had been here for. "No." Both Morcant and Saide replied in unison. "I guess I'll have to call backup." The man replied, "by any chance did whatever happened to your robotic friend take place in that abandoned toilet block? We got a call in from a jogger who heard robot noises from inside there. I was going to check it out, but then I saw you two and figured that helping you two first would be better." "Call in? Backup? Are you a police officer?" Saide asked, figuring that the answer was going to be yes. To nobody's suprise, the reply was in fact "Yes," but then continued with, "I'm the head of the paranormal department at the CPD. Well, it's not much of a department given that it's just me and two rookies, but they're good at the job and it's better than just me on my own having to call in help from paranormally skilled non-cops every time there's a serious issue." Saide was glad help was here, but she was also scared. What would happen to Morcant? She held Morcant closer, and the officer noticed how scared she looked. He then sat down on the grass beside them and said, "it's going to be ok, you two. I can see the tear in his chest, and I know how scary this can be. I - I just realised I haven't introduced myself. My name's Mike. You may recognise me as I was part of the team that arrived at the factory after Morcant's death. Thanks to the blueprint and a bunch of calls regarding injuries inflicted by Aztec themed animatronics, I think I know what did this to you two." "Wait," Saide said, "you were investigating Morcant's death?" She held the machine closer to her. "Yes. And his boss's death. Factory security saw everything, and we were able to give those effected by your former boss's actions compensation." Mike replied, "You quiting that place actually made it a bit easier for us to give you your compensation unnoticed." "Compensation?" Saide thought out loud and paused for a few seconds, "that explains the bigger final paycheque. What about..." Saide trailed off and the park was silent for a few seconds before Mike spoke up again. "Your former boss's death was put down as a spirit related death, and the spirit was deemed as becoming passive post revenge, with no intervention required." Mike paused and saw the look of confusion on Saide's face, "it's impossible to arrest a ghost - even if it does have a physical form. All the paranormal department does is find a way to send the ghost on its way, weather it choses to disapate, wander around like it did before but not hurt people, or gets caught by another ghost isn't our business. We only send a ghost on its way by force if it's on the level of Afton or those ghosts that were running rampant in Japan in the 60's and 90's: I've heard the stories and to he honest, your friend there is totally human in comparison." Mike knew he was infodumping, and the first full of grass in his hand was a sign he had been talking long enough, but ghosts were an odd topic that requires a lot of explanation and hinges on specifics. Whilst he didn't want to overwhelm the duo, he so felt as if he had no choice if he wanted them to not be stressed out. He then looked more directly at the duo, waiting to see if they'd reply or if he should continue talking. Saide quickly spoke up. "So Morcant isn't in trouble? Can we go home now." She said, clearly struggling to process all of this at once and obviously in need of a nap. Figuring that Saide had a vague understanding of what was happening, Mike was able to answer. "Don't worry; Morcant is not in trouble: he's dead and deemed passive. But you can't go home just yet because I need to ask you a few things about what happened today so I can actually help you two." It was clear that everyone had a long day, but this was a case of killer robots and it'd be suicide to walk into the abandoned toilets without knowing what on earth is in there. "Starting with, what were the other animatronics in the toilet block with you? I think I know which ones they are but I need to make sure." "Curse and Serpent Mangle." Saide replied, "They showed up at my house and had chased Morcant there, and after I beat them, they just picked up Morcant and carried him there." She pointed to the abandoned toilets. "Alright," Mike took some notes, "Curse is still a Springtrap, right? Some informants have sent me a copy of some blueprints during your murder investigation, but I'm not sure what they received is still up to date, or if they were handed a red herring; I trust them, but Fazbear Entertainment has a habit of misleading people." "Curse is still Springtrap." Saide replied. "Nice," Mike replied, "now, what happened in there. Did they just tear him open or was there some kind setup going on?" "Setup. They were chanting something and then shoved Morcant onto this rock and then..." It was clear that Saide was beginning to panic and couldn't finish what she was saying. She was repeating "and then" over and over with no signs of stopping until she was a crying mess. Morcant had put his arm around Saide; it was his turn to comfort her. Mike had seen the stress and fear caused by horrific incidents creep up on people many times, and this was no exception, and he had to help her and Morcant before he investigated the toilets. He knew he had to help somehow, and his paternal instincts kicked in. "Hey, it's ok, he's safe now," Mike spoke as if he was consoling a child; his tone was calm and soft, "You don't have to talk about it in that much detail if it stresses you out. I know what's in there now and that they had this act thing set up. You managed to say quite a lot, and I'm proud of you for being able to talk about it this soon." Saide looked up, her breathing fast as her head pounded from the fear catching up to her. She nodded and tried to calm herself down. "You've told me everything I needed to know, the animatronics and that they had some kind of performance set up with this whole thing." Mike paused for almost a secondary before continuing, "Wait, I'm sorry but one more question, for Morcant. Has this happened before?" Morcant looked suprised, but quickly realised that Mike was talking to him. "Yes. Sometimes it happens elsewhere though, but about half the time it is here." Mike didn't expect Morcant to speak out loud, but then again, the ghost was possessing a humanoid animatronic, and it seems the chest cavity damage didn't impact the voice box. Honestly he was expecting a more ghostly sound, but he just sounded like some dude. Mental whiplash from an animatronic not talking like an actor aside, Mike nodded. "Got it. I'll see if the animatronics are still there, then we get you two home, ok?" Morcant and Saide nodded in reply. As Mike walked towards the building, Saide piped up, "Wait! I have a tracker on my phone that tracked these animatronics to my home, but then when they left it stopped tracking them." Mike turned around, smiled, and flashed his phone, showing the same animatronic tracker as the one Saide had, "nice to know. Mine does the same, so at least I know it's probably an intentional thing on the animatronics now!" And then he walked the rest of the way to the toilet block. As Mike disappeared into the building, Morcant and Saide looked at eachother. "Do you think he's going to be ok?" Saide asked, "he seems like a good person." "I hope so. He seems to be bent on helping ghosts move on - not in the usual way you'd associate moving on and ghosts, but in the same way you'd get a living person to move on from an ex." Morcant replied, "best way of dealing with ghosts that there is really." "You'd know, wouldn't you? Mr ghost expert," Saide joked before Morcant could keep on rambling about ghosts, "maybe you two should be friends!" "Maybe," Morcant replied, "I'll have to ask about the paranormal department. If I just live running from robots with nothing else to do or exist for, I'll go insane." "Awwwww," Saide exaggerated the words to the point where her intentions were likely comical, "I was going to suggest R&D robotics. I work there now by the way." "Sorry," Morcant winced in reply, "but that'll be like working at a mourge. No thanks." "Ok." Saide let our a comical huff, "do you have anywhere to go? Anywhere you've been staying?" "No," Morcant looked off over at the rest of the park, "I've been on the run from these animatronics the whole time." "That must have been exhausting." "It was." "Do you want to stay with me?" Saide suggested as she picked up a fistfull of grass that she had mindlessly tugged out of the ground. "Sure." Morcant replied. "My relatives probably have my things, so I want to pick those up. But I don't know how they'll react to me being like... This." "They should be fine," a beam of light was cast over Morcant and Saide again, and they only just realised how dark it had gotten, "and they do have your stuff, so I can help you tomorrow if you'd like." "How long have you been there?" Morcant asked. "Two seconds," Mike replied, "you two are just super loud, so I heard you as soon as I stepped out of the building. And talking about that building, the animatronics must have fled. Couldn't detect them by any means." "I mean, they had plenty of time to leave. Why would they stick around?" Morcant replied. Saide seemed a bit shocked and scared again, "I thought I-" "They don't stay stunned for long." Morcant said before Saide had the chance to descend into panic again. "Annoying, but true. But you've beat them both not once, but twice. That's pretty impressive!" Mike added. "Thanks. I want to go home," Saide said, begining to obsessively check the tracker. "Yes, and umm..." Mike said, "Which one of you do you think can stand the best." "I thought you were calling in backup?" Saide asked, before Mike replied sounding rather defeated, "they're busy. Again. Just my luck, hu." "I think I can make this thing stand," Morcant said, "it's just metal, so it can't be that hard to just not fall over." Mike nodded and helped Morcant up. The robotic man was heavy, but with a bit of help, he was able to clamber to his feet, and when he was up, he was able to stand on his own. Then, Mike was able to help Saide up. After a few attempts to pull her up of the floor, Mike asked, "are your legs ok? Do they hurt at all?" "No," Saide replied, a bit concerned about her legs and how she just couldn't stand up but her legs didn't hurt, "I can feel them, but ... C'mon, work already! Stupid legs." "I mean, you did carry me all the way from that toilet block to here." Morcant reasoned, "You're probably exhausted but just don't feel it yet. Adrenaline is one hell of a painkiller." "True," Saide sighed, "so, what's the plan?" "Planplanplanplanplan" Mike mumbled as he scrolled through his phone, "got it. Just found a two person carry that's not weird." "Ok, what is it?" Morcant asked, curious and a bit confused. "You know when you carry a drunk friend home? That kind of thing." Mike said, "it can also be one person, so don't worry if you feel too tired." He then crouched next to Saide and asked, "is it ok if I help you up?" "Sure." She replied. "Ok," Mike replied, "sorry if this is awkward, I've had no practice at this one - usually I'm the one getting carried. And sorry if your arm hurts." He placed Saide's arm over his shoulder and stood up, making sure to keep her steady so they both wouldn't fall. Morcant saw that Mike was struggling, and managed to get hold of Saide's other arm. "You two steady?" He jokingly asked, to which Mike and Saide replied "yep". As the duo carried Saide back to her house, Saide joked, "this is going to hurt in the morning, if I can still feel my legs," to which Mike replied "definitely. It'll likely hurt for a day, maybe more, but that's the after effects of hysterical strength for you," in a more serious tone, as if he had been through similar himself. After they got to Saide's house, Saide was sat on the sofa, and Morcant sat next to her. Saide had told Morcant where they keys were, so he was going to lock up after Mike left, but before he went, he handed the two of them a peice of paper. "If you see those animatronics on the tracker again or have an animatronic related issue, please call this number and say those words. It connects directly to the station and saying that means you have a serious animatronic problem. Don't worry if you forget it though; you have the same code word as your colleagues. You are the newbie from R&D robotics, right?" "Yeah. They mentioned animatronic incidents before, but I had no idea this kind of thing was in place," Saide said, "I guess they just thought it was over." "Or they were going to tell you but didn't know tonight would be so bad." Mike added. "I forgot to mention it at first, but after the jogger called, I got a call from Nora. She said she thinks that the Ancient Equinox animatronics are stalking you, but she's not too sure yet. She didn't mention you by name; she called you the newbie, but after I saw you two on the grass back there I kind of put two and two together." Saide checked the time. It had been, what, an hour and a half to two hours since she had gotten home from work? "It's been getting dark early," Saide exclaimed, the realization that the last what felt like five hours had been at most two had just struck her, "I thought it was later." "Time does drag in scary situations," Mike smiled and nodded in reply, " I should know. But anyway, keep an eye out, don't drop your guard, and I know you'll be fine." "Tell me about it," Morcant smirked slightly before returning to his usual sincere way of speaking, "thanks for your help. We'll be sure to call if they intrude here again." "Yeah, definitely! Thanks!" Saide added. As Mike went to leave, he gave Morcant a knowing smile; them both being familiar with ghosts, his splints and the other being dead, and other scars or markings from injuries only survivable due to thier posessed or spectral situation. They both knew the other had minutes that felt like eternities and that said events were best left unspoken of. "Goodbye!" He waved with a smile as he headed out, presumably to see what he could do to track the animatronics. After Mike left, Morcant locked the door, just in case the animatronics came knocking again. "So, what now? I'm not used to staying in one place anymore; I feel like a sitting duck." "Well you can't run forever. I know I can handle the animatronics," Saide replied, "if they show up, well just call the number we were given and I'll hold them off. I've done it once before, I can do it again." "You're right. I know you can." °*°•°*°•°*°•°*°•°*°•°*°•🌹•°*°•°*°•°*°•°*°•°*°•°*°

Serpent Mangle: I bet you can’t make a sentence without the letter “A”!
B Afton : You thought you just did something there, didn’t you? Well, sorry to burst your bubble, but numerous sentences could be constructed without employing the first letter of the English lexicon.
Michael : Fuck you.

guilt creeps up suguru’s throat like a slithering serpent.
it crawls around the base of his tongue, writhing farther down, embedding its fangs into the flesh of his throat. a raw, mangled, bloody mess left in its wake.
remorse, witnessing the disarray that guilt’s plight leaves, frantically tries to discern where a home can be made. perhaps it can dance along his ribcage. pirouetting across his bones until it reaches a bloody cavern where it can dwell within a hole burrowed deep inside suguru’s heart.
maybe all of this despair can be washed away… a desire to cleanse his palate & purge his feelings away persists, yet he doesn’t allow himself the reprieve.
instead, he decides to swallow his shame down like a bitter whiskey, relishing in the thorn-like pin prickles. the harsh amber reflecting in his fatigued, glassy eyes.
the ache serves as a reminder.
suguru figures that the sharp gnawing pain that spikes his heart & torments his throat is the very least he deserves.
his therapist did say he had a tendency to wallow in his self-destructive thoughts. delude himself & cyclically make bad choices which turned into bad habits. but what’s another bad decision to him? a pyromaniac to his very core; suguru would be lying to himself if he said he didn’t enjoy playing with fire.
allowing himself a moment of respite, he fishes out a cigarette he stole out of shoko’s purse from the left pocket of his leather jacket. a silver heart-shaped vivienne westwood lighter in the right. he takes it out, rolling it softly in his warm palm, lackadaisically playing with the switch. imagining the cold metal were your cold hands instead, his own seeking to offer up warmth for your comfort. he gazes softly at the flame; flickering on and off. on and off. on and off. a burning fire reflected in his eyes. a burning desire razing his heart.
the whole world in the palm of his hands — the heart you presented to him.
(a gift from you to him — you begged him to quit smoking, it was bad for his health and you wanted him to be there in the future as best man at yours & satoru’s wedding. with a tight-lipped smile & crinkled eyes, he said he would.
always the deceiver.
you lit up, gaze softening while telling him to specifically use this lighter to light up the teakwood candle you bought him for his birthday. his smile turned fond, eyes crinkled softly with genuine mirth & adoration, he said he would. and he did.
always the sentimentalist.)
bringing the cigarette to his lips, he exhales a puff of smoke, allowing his low-lidded gaze to flit across the room. the warm lights illuminating the grungy bar, a favorite of nanami’s & shoko’s.
he reminisces on the days where both of you would talk for hours. from deep conversations about space, morality, your futures & pasts, to asking each other about what food you’d eat for eternity (cold zaru soba noodles for him, any form of potato for you), savory or sweet (both of you chose savory — suguru relishes in the fact that he has a connection with you on this), & if you two would still be best friends if the other one was a worm (both of you answered yes — you’d build a terrarium where wormguru could play & suguru would keep you in his pocket not caring if he’d be dubbed the weirdly hot worm-man.) from the serious to the silly, suguru felt his chest bloom with tender warmth. from the bottom of his heart, he knows that in this world and any others, he could truly be himself with you.
a soft sigh escapes him, a small smile gracing his face thinking about his memories with you. calling the bartender over for another drink after he downs his whiskey, he drawls out, “give me somethin’ sweet.”
he turns back around to the crowd of strangers, unintentionally smiling. he finds a few pretty boys & girls gawking at him, hyping themselves and each other up to go talk to him. he sees a few more pretty boys & girls looking away from his intense gaze, too shy to go up to him, praying instead that he’ll go to them.
the grin that previously took residence on his face falters. he finds himself upset that they’d think his smile was reserved for any one of them. none of them pique his interest per usual, & he hopes that the bags underneath his eyes, his myriad of piercings & tattoos, chipped black nail polish, and overall resting bitch face will stop anyone from coming near him.
(he knows it won’t. people often went after suguru and not satoru. he was always more caring, more in tune with his emotions with an air of magnetic mystique, unlike his brash, loud, & arrogant counterpart.)
suguru intakes a sharp breath, surprising himself with the haughty & bitter thought against his best friend, quickly washing it down with a sweet daiquiri hoping to honey the words in both his throat & mind, while simultaneously praying that it would soothe his heart.
slightly more alert, his gaze wanders around the room again. tired eyes widening slightly, lighting up greatly when he sees you.
there you were in all of your glory.
sitting leisurely, a leg swung upon the other, arm resting over the back of the tattered red vinyl couch, the very same one you both had countless conversations on. how were you so effortlessly cool? you could do anything and suguru would revel in it — drawn to you like a moth to a flame.
and like a moth, he found himself gliding across the bar towards you, his feet moving faster than his brain. his body demanding that it be near you, that it be graced with your presence. with a flick of his ring-clad fingers, his cigarette is crushed underneath his black boots. a piece of strawberry gum is popped inside his mouth along with another reapplication of vanilla lip balm to his lips to make sure that you knew they were soft to the touch.
with his heart beating ridiculously fast, he takes a deep breath before he stands in front of you, your perfume enveloping his senses making him slightly delirious from how delectable you smell. he prays that the blush dusting his cheeks fools you into thinking that he just drank too much; that it’s not because of you peering up at him through your lashes with your pretty eyes that are now affectionately directed towards his own.
“yo! suguru! long time no see!” you wave as you get up to greet him, a massive grin overtaking your face, eyes almost crinkled shut because you’re so excited to see one of your best friends.
without warning, suguru envelops you into a tight hug. his left hand placed against your lower back while his right hand cradles your head against his chest, your cheek pressing against his beating heart. suguru places his chin on the top of your head, craning his face slightly to get a whiff of your shampoo, ghosting a faint kiss on your hair that he knows you don’t feel, relishing in this moment with you. for a few seconds he can pretend… he deserves that much at least, he figures.
he could stay holding you in his arms forever, your body pressed up against his, protecting you from everything & everyone bad in this world, shielding you from predatory eyes around the bar. fucking wolves, the lot of them — suguru contemptuously thinks. it’s a good thing you’re here in his arms, suguru muses, confident in his ability to keep you safe.
as quickly as that thought dashes through his brain, you pull away. not wanting to alarm you with his panic that you’d leave him, a tight grip stays around your waist, forcing you to sit back down. he positions himself right next to you, his thighs touching your own, his right arm draped across your shoulder.
something that you can consider friendly.
something that he can consider more than that.
affectionate, no matter which way you take it.
“it’s been a while.” a fond smile beams across his face, bright amber eyes desperately glazing over your face. you’re so close to him and he’s so attentive to you, he imagines that the boy across the bar must think you both look like a couple. the pleasure suguru derives from that thought is second to none. you do look like you’d be his. he’s certain that he looks like he’d be yours, if his devoted nature is anything to go by.
he takes a a few strands of your hair, twirling them slightly around his fingers. “what are you doing here anyways? i wish i saw you before, we could’ve hung out!” suguru teasingly pouts, lips slightly jutted out, his eyes twinkling with playful mirth.
“tell me about it,” you playfully whine. “thankfully i just got here so we have plenty of time to hang out! don’t worry, i’ll make up for it so you can forgive me.”
“you never have to apologize for anything.” seriousness takes over his tone. suguru doesn’t want you to ever feel bad, even as a joke. not wanting to make you uncomfortable with his tense energy, he eases up his features and winks, “don’t worry your pretty little head about it, i’ll let you off the hook this time.”
you bark out a laugh which makes him elated, glad that he was able to make you smile. “sugu, you’re way too sweet! and ooh — you asked what i was doing here! toru wanted to chill out here for a bit, said if he didn’t get to drink a virgin piña colada right this second he’d faint.” you gaze around the bar, muttering under your breath, “he should be on his way here soon…”
right… satoru.
suguru feels his mouth get dry by the second, a venomous pang of guilt daggers his heart. his eye twitches along with his fingers, wondering if he should take his arm off of you.
if satoru saw this would he just consider it friendly touching? would he think that suguru was trying to make the moves on you? would he scream in his face about how can his best friend stab him in the back this way? the bitter taste of betrayal coats suguru’s tongue like a curse, and before he can do anything about it, a big SMACK! on his shoulder wakes him out of his trance.
“SUGUUUUUUUU! I MISSED YOUUUUUUU!” satoru bursts out onto the scene loudly, holding both your & suguru’s shoulders from behind the couch, bringing you two towards each other in a massive hug. with satoru’s face in the middle, smooshing both of your & suguru’s cheeks against his, suguru can’t help but feel a gnawing sense of shame.
satoru, affectionate as ever, kisses you both on the cheek. snowy hair ruffling with his actions, aquamarine eyes twinkling as bright as starlight, white eyelashes fluttering against the pink blush hued upon his soft cheeks. from here, suguru can see the light dusting of freckles on satoru’s nose, & the lightest sheen of gloss on his pink lips. no doubt from kissing you before he got here.
a twisted part of suguru is thankful for the kiss on the cheek, your glossy residue imprinted on his skin. an indirect kiss, he muses.
“sorry it took so long, i had to park so far away. hope you didn’t miss me too much, angel.” satoru pecks you on the cheek again, cheekily stealing an upside down kiss on the lips from you while he’s at it.
“no worries baby, i had sugu to keep me company.” you smile wide, eyes softening as satoru smoothes down your hair.
suguru forgot.
satoru trusts him with his entire life. with you.
the loud, brash, arrogant, self-centered boy suguru knew as a teen had grown up. cleaning up his act the moment he met you. enamored with your beauty, kindness, & personable nature — satoru fell deeply in love. he was still loud, but only to proclaim his love on the rooftops for you. he was brash at times but never with you. his arrogance was also truly never unfounded, he was just that confident in his own self and in the relationship he could have with you. suguru still thinks satoru can be self-centered at times, but never about you.
satoru puts you forward in every single aspect of his life — devoted. loyal. faithful. unbelievably constant with his love & adoration for you. your perfect other half.
your true soulmate.
you’re his one and only. and he’s yours.
“satoru! it’s been a while.” suguru prays the loud music can cover up the slight crack in his voice. he can feel his throat constricting like a python, he coughs to clear it, wanting to rid himself of the strangling feeling. he does what he does best in that moment: putting on a facade. a tight-lipped smile along with crinkled eyes graces his features, and he hopes that both you & satoru mistake it for pure happiness.
“you good, man?” satoru tilts his head like a puppy, looking at him questioningly. you do the same, concern clouding your beautiful eyes. he’s terrified that you both could see right through him.
“yeah.” suguru whispers quietly.
the ache that torments his throat & spikes his heart serves as a reminder.
he puts his warm hand over your cold ones in a comforting gesture. for who would it bring solace? he doesn’t know. at this point in time, he can’t bring himself to care. “just the summer heat.”
he brushes his thigh against yours once again, fiddling with your fingers softly. he figures he can allow himself this.
glancing into your eyes, his reflection stares back him.
he accepts that living with this ache of shame & this disgusting sense of desire is the very least someone like him deserves.
he figures he should allow it to devour him.

"I'm not giving up on you!"
Leonard McCoy X Reader
Summary: Following a terrible attack on the Enterprise, Dr. McCoy does everything he can to save the heavily-injured reader.
Character(s): Leonard "Bones" McCoy
Warning(s): Wounds, Death, Implied violence, Ends in fluff
Tumblr media
Dr. McCoy carefully navigated the sea of bodies, careful not to step on any one of them. The Enterprise had been boarded little more than thirty minutes ago. Bones followed the path of destruction, hoping to find some survivors. No such luck.
McCoy scanned every body for signs of life, but yielded no results. He grimaced and trudged onward. He hated this feeling of powerlessness. So many good people were dead and there was nothing he could do about it. If only he had gotten down here sooner, maybe there wouldn't be so many casualties.
Leonard rounded a corner and was disappointed to find even more bodies strewn all over the floor. But amidst the flashing red lights, he saw you. You were leaned against the wall, blood staining your blue uniform. His tricorder picked up your heartbeat and he immediately hurried to your side.
"Hey, can you hear me?" He asked, snapping his fingers near your ear. Much to his surprise, you slowly opened your eyes.
He couldn't believe you were alive, let alone conscious. Your arm was a mangled mess of burns, you had a massive laceration in your lower abdomen, you were sitting in a pool of your own blood, and you had a terrible concussion. Your groan came out as more of a choked gurgle.
Leonard wasted no time in prepping a hypo to ease your pain. "Can you speak?"
"Yeah," You managed weakly.
"That's good. That's really good. Can you tell me where it hurts?" He asked.
"It hurts everywhere," you murmured.
"Perfect."
"Perfect?" You asked.
"It means you still have feeling in your limbs. That's a really good sign," Bones jabbed the hypo into your arm and started digging into his bag. He had to get you stable if you were going to have any hope of surviving this. "I'm Dr. Leonard McCoy. Can you tell me your name darlin'?" He asked, trying to ease you into a sense of calm.
"Ensign Y/N Y/L/N. Biology department."
"On, I know about you, you're the one who wrote that dissertation on the possible medical uses of Aldebaran Serpent venom. You graduated top of your class in the starfleet academy. I heard you've got a promotion coming up." Leonard said, hoping to keep your mind alert. He didn't want you passing out with that concussion, not until he was sure there wasn't some internal bleeding going on that his scanners weren't picking up.
"Yeah, if I make it that far..."
"You're gonna make it, trust me." He swallowed. You could see it in his face. The chances of you living weren't very high.
"You're a terrible liar doctor McCoy...I'm gonna die here, aren't I?" You whispered.
"I brought the captain back from the dead using the blood of a homicidal maniac. I've performed greater miracles than this. You ain't gonna die, not if I have anything to say about it." He said, already working to disinfect the gaping wound in your stomach. "Just keep talking to me, can you do that?"
"I'll try..." You struggled to keep your eyes open. "I-I... I smell something burning..."
"Don't worry about that." Leonard said firmly. "Just...tell me about..." He grasped for a topic that wasn't your maimed body or the smell of burning hair. "Tell me about home. What's your family like?" Leonard started to autosuture the laceration.
You ignored his question and tilted your head down to look down at the damage. Bones grabbed your face and forced your eyes up to his. "Don't look at it. Just look at me, okay?"
"Mkay...nice face at least." You smiled weakly.
"Oh?" he got back to his work, but kept talking. "I've always been told I got a face only a mother could love. What's so nice about it?" He asked.
"You have pretty eyes... and..." You lost your train of thought.
"And what darlin'?"
"Huh?"
"I got pretty eyes and what?" he asked, fighting against the knot appearing in the pit of his stomach. He didn't know you, but he'd like to. You were a tough cookie and he respected the hell out of it. He could see it in your eyes. You still had so much to offer the world... the universe. He couldn't let you die like this. He wouldn't let you die like this.
"Oh...I like your...your forehead wrinkles...makes you look distinguished," you attempted another smile.
"Gotta say sweetheart, that might just be the nicest compliment I've ever received." Leonard met your gaze for just a moment before returning to his task.
"Well, I've got more where that came from..." You leaned your head against the wall and looked at the ceiling. "...Might throw up..."
"If you feel like you are, just tell me. Okay darlin'?"
"Mkay..."
You both fell into silence and Leonard labored to think of some way to get you talking again. The autosuture wasn't working fast enough for his liking. He still had about two and a half inches to go. If he didn't work fast enough, you were gonna die.
"...Everything's all fuzzy. Cold." You murmured. A low rumble echoed through the halls as if punctuating your dark statement.
"I bet. You lost a lot of blood, but you'll be okay." Leonard clenched his jaw.
"There are others...gotta help the others McCoy. I'm a lost cause."
"You are no such thing. I'm saving you dammit." He didn't have the heart to tell you the other people in the hallway were already dead. A sudden, sharp jolt shook the ship. Leonard grunted as he tried not to fall into you.
"I'm gonna die... I never even got to ask out that doctor. Never had the guts..." You mumbled, eyes struggling to focus on anything.
"What doctor?" Leonard asked as he continued closing you up.
"Y'know. The grumpy one." You said.
Leonard's expression darkened. He was trying dammit, but not nearly hard enough. You were growing delirious. You didn't even realize what you were admitting to him. Your eyes fluttered closed, but you kept talking.
"I don't really know him, but he saved a friend of mine once... He's uh..." You gathered your thoughts. "He's real smart. So dedicated to his patients. I really admire that... Also got this dry sense of humor, and a really handsome voice. I wouldn't have minded taking him out sometime. Buying him flowers." You hummed.
"He's the kind of guy you bring home to mama, I think...Well...My mama at least." You looked at Leonard, eyes swimming with grief. "I'm not scared. You have to tell her for me. That I wasn't scared...I have people back at home. Can you tell them I love them?" You whispered, just as Leonard finished closing your abdominal wound.
Leonard breathed a sigh of relief as he started wrapping you with a bandage. "You're gonna tell them yourself darlin'. You're gonna make it, you know why? Because you're strong. Resilient as a rubber band." He tied off the bandage and started going to work on your arm. "I'm gonna get you stable and we'll get down to the medbay, then you'll make a swift and miraculous recovery, just in time for you to earn the rank of Lieutenant. How does that sound?"
"..." You didn't respond.
"Y/N?" He asked. Your eyes were closed. Your heartbeat was growing fainter by the second. "No No. Dammit, come on! I'm not giving up on you!" He emptied hypos into your arms and legs. A cocktail of medicines were brewing inside of you, fighting to keep your heart beating. He waited with baited breath for your readings to change on his tricorder.
Eventually, your heartbeat grew stronger and your breathing deeper. Then, to his astonishment, you opened your eyes again.
"Welcome back, you gave me a start there." Leonard flashed a relieved smile.
"Sorry...didn't mean to fall asleep," You smiled back.
Suddenly, the red lights turned off and the hallway lit up in its usual bright white light.
"I know darlin'. You're awake now, that's what matters." He pulled out his communicator. "Nurse Chapel, do they have the bastards detained?... Good. I need a stretcher on deck 15, as well as a recovery team. Prep the protoplaser and the burn chamber for the arrival of ensign Y/L/N." After her confirmation, he hung up and pointed his scanner down the hallway to see if there were any more heartbeats. Nothing.
Bones sighed and hung his head. The bastards were thorough, he had to give them that. He found only one survivor out of how many hallways? He was curious about how the security team managed to take them down, but that would be a conversation for a different time.
"Goddamned bloodthirsty space beasts..." He hissed.
"Tell me about it," you chuckled. "Certainly did a number on me, huh?"
"How are you feeling?" Leonard leaned against the wall beside you.
"Numb all over... I suspect you had something to do with that?" You turned your head to look at him.
"I injected you with a hypo for pain relief right when I found you." He met your eyes.
"Funny. I don't think I remember that."
"You're definitely on the loopy side. Can't tell if it's from the blood loss or an adverse reaction to the medicine, but we'll figure all that out soon."
"You can go now. Someone's coming to get me right?"
"You ain't getting rid of me that easily. I'm staying with you until your stretcher arrives." He crossed his arms.
"But there's got to be others that need help too, right?" You closed your eyes. "I'm fine, you should help them."
"It's against protocol to leave a critical patient alone. I'm not leaving until your ride arrives." Just then, he heard the sound of the hover-stretcher. "Speak of the devil, it's about goddamned time." He stood and addressed the two nurses. He spoke to them in hushed medical lingo. You had no idea what he was talking about, but it didn't sound good.
Leonard helped load you onto the stretcher. "I'm passing you off to Nurse Bell and Nurse Valinsky. They're going to take great care of you."
"As opposed to you taking bad care of me?" You smiled tiredly.
"Very funny," He smirked. "I'll catch up with you soon. Don't miss my face too much, you hear?"
"You're asking for the impossible, Dr. McCoy," You joked. The nurses guided you down the hall and around the corner. Leonard stared out at the crowded hallway, hoping his recovery team would arrive soon. Until then, he would just have to look for living patients on his own.
A doctor's work is never done.
~~~
When you awoke, you felt heavy. It was dim in the medbay and all was quiet, save for the occasional beeping of the biobed. You attempted to sit up, but winced the moment you put pressure on your arm. From the shoulder down, your limb was covered in bandages. You felt a deep ache all the way through your body and decided it was best to lay back down.
You tried to remember how you ended up here, but everything after the initial attack was a blur. You remembered the grumpy doctor, you remembered him mentioning your dissertation, he said something about pretty eyes, and you remember being so tired, but trying so hard to focus on him.
You looked around the room, hoping there might be a nurse nearby. Instead you found a room full of people sleeping in biobeds. There was a light on in the office at the end of the room, but you had no way of knowing if there was actually someone inside.
You scanned the controls to your left until you found a call button. Once you pressed it, you heard shuffling in the office. Much to your surprise, Dr. McCoy came shambling out.
"It's about time you woke up," Leonard took a look on your screen to check all your vitals. As you watched him, the events of your last encounter came flooding back. Distinguished forehead wrinkles? Seriously?
"Your heart-rate is kicking up," Bones smirked "Is that because of me?" He joked.
You rolled your eyes, "how long was I out?"
"About forty-eight hours."
"Two days?!"
"Better keep it down darlin'. Don't want to wake the neighbors." He slowly raised the bed into a sitting position and handed you some water.
"Thanks," you said hoarsely, "I didn't even realize I was thirsty."
"That's what I'm here for." He grunted as he copied some data from your biobed to his PADD.
"Bringing me water?"
"Keeping you from dying of dehydration," Bones corrected.
"Aw, and here I thought I had my own personal butler," you smiled and sipped your water. 'He really does have pretty eyes,' you thought while watching him work. Who were you kidding? It wasn't just his eyes that were pretty, it was all of him. You cleared your throat and took another sip. "Anyway, what are you doing here so late? I didn't think you worked gamma shift."
"I normally don't, but there are a lot of reports to file and not a lot of time to do it."
"That bad huh?...How many dead?" You asked softly.
"Fifty-six," Leonard sniffed pulled out his kit.
"Damn... and what about the pirates?"
"In custody back at Yorktown." Leonard administered a hypo into your arm. The soreness melted away almost immediately, but the ache in your chest didn't.
"I would have been one of them if it weren't for you..." You whispered. "You didn't give up... even when you should have."
"Any doctor worth his salt wouldn't give up on the likes of you, not when you were so keen on living. Ain't seen nothing like it in a long time. Your body just kept going long after it should have shut down." Bones explained, "And you kept telling me it was hopeless, but I could tell you were hoping for a miracle."
"So you gave me one," You smiled up at him.
"I told you I would. They don't say I have legendary hands for nothin'," McCoy smirked.
"Still, thank you for not giving up on me," you laughed. "I definitely owe you one."
"Ask out that doctor of yours and we'll call it even," Leonard spoke so casually, you nearly didn't register what it was he just said.
"I-I- my what?" You asked, dumbfounded. Your heart-rate picked up again and Leonard couldn't mask his amusement.
"You should get some rest, Nurse Chapel will be by in a few hours with some food for you. We're putting you on a soft food diet until your internal wounds heal some more. If you need anything before then, you know where the call button is." Bones started back to his office, but stopped just short.
"Oh, and Y/N?"
"Y-Yeah?"
Leonard sent you a smug look. "I like daisies," He said before disappearing behind the door.
You laughed and rested your head on your pillow. 'Daisies huh?' You thought to yourself. You weren't sure how you were gonna pull that off this far from Earth, but if Dr. McCoy could perform miracles, why couldn't you? Of course, the flowers would have to wait until you were released from medical care. You didn't mind too much though, Dr. McCoy was going to be there to take care of you.
And he wasn't giving up on you anytime soon.
ASTARION HEADCANONS and DND Canon lore about VAMPIRES
(UNDER CURRENT WORK, UNFINISHED)
18+ MNDI, MATURE CONTENT FAR BELOW WITH FOREWARNING
CONTENT WARNING: Corrupt behavior, blood suckin', malice feelings, mentions of suicide, mentions of mangled appearances and bodies, life and death mentions
I always start with Canon, and then Headcanons because I have evidence.
There is much less history in the canon bits, just conditions of being a vampire. You can note many different vampires in different periods of DND History but none were noteworthy at this time.
CANON
TRUE VAMPIRES and their Abilities, Habits, and Beginnings.
small warning: this will entail their weakness, which will tell you, in-toe, what Cazador's weaknesses are in combat. If you don't want that and want a stupidly difficult battle with him, skip this first canon part.
𝔒 True Vampires are undead, feared, uncompassionate creatures that feast on blood of the living with their Sanguivorous diets. They bleed utter corruption and are highly intelligent for the undead.
𝔒 They don't have a favoured climate but they have a couple of known places where lairs are more common. Such as the Prime Material Plane, Shadowfell, Negative Energy Plane, Thanatos, The Abyss, and Pandemonium.
𝔒 They are nocturnal creatures, naturally blessed with darkvision.
𝔒 They challenge level 13 adventurers, and are aligned Lawful Evil,
𝔒 True Vampires are shapechangers, which is seen in Cazador's Fight. He takes on a Gaseous Form. In any form, if they die, they revert back to their original form.
𝔒 They can take on a Tiny Bat polymorph form, though they cannot talk in this form. Has a flying distance of 30ft or walking distance of 5ft.
𝔒 In misty form, they can't take action, talk, or manipulate objects. It is weightless and has a 20ft flying distance. It's capable of moving in hostile creatures areas. Its form cannot pass through water. It still has Dexterity, Strength, and Constitution saving throws in gaseous form. Can still take sunlight damage, but not non-magical damage.
𝔒 Vampires regenerate 20 hp at the start of every turn. Unless dealt with Holy Water or Radiant Energy.
𝔒 Vampires are found in lavish lairs, fortified manors, castles, or walled abbeys. Their coffins rest in underground crypts, often guarded by Vampire Spawn.
𝔒 Regionally, their lair warps the land, with an increase in bats, rats, and wolves in the area which they are capable of dominating control over. Plants within 500ft die and warp into twisted thorns, shadows cast within 500ft around the area are unusually gaunt and haunting, creeping fogs appear within 500ft of the lair. Sometimes the fog takes on form such as writhing serpents and grasping claws.
𝔒 The determining factor of a 2d6 (2, 6 sided dies) will tell how long these regional lair warps will last after a Vampires Death, in days.
𝔒 Vampires retain their likeness, but gain pale cast skin, red eyes, glassy claws, retractable canines, and sharper features akin to looking predatory. Vampires often wear blush and makeup to hide their undead features.
𝔒 When Vampires are well fed, their decaying process stops, giving them a pinkish hue on their pale skin, and temporarily kick starts their circulatory system.
𝔒 They engage in decadent behavior.
𝔒 Usually vampires are always evil, before undeath. They're a piece of shit in life, and a piece of shit in undeath. Sometimes losing memory of life in the process. They are meticulous in their planning and don't mind slow moving plans as long as it's executed perfectly.
𝔒 True Vampires CANNOT feel love, its twisted in obsession, friendship is warped into jealously. Many will seek out a past fixation and make it an obsession in undeath. Such as sought love becoming beauty sought in all their prey, ones who value youth prey on children.
𝔒 Obssesion moves onto Possesion, they collect art, objects of torture, and decorating their lair with trophies.
𝔒 Their organs have acute sensory, including darkvision, hearing, and smell.
𝔒 They do not need to breathe, sleep, eat food. Prey are destroyed after feeding to prevent them from turning into undead.
𝔒 Vampire Spawn are granted free will after their master's death, or being allowed to sup on their master's blood, transforming them into a True Vampire.
𝔒 Vampires and lich have quite a bit in common, which makes for deadly history. Vampires have been known to take militia ranking next to lich in armies of the undead.
𝔒 Though vampires are incredibly solitary creatures.
𝔒 Humanoids, monstrous humanoids, dragons, illithid, giants, or even flying snakes are capable of becoming vampires.
𝔒 Half-Vampires, although incredibly rare, can exist. A vampire must consume enough blood to start circulation, and breed with a humanoid creating half-vamp offspring. OR even rarer, a mother survives being drained by a vampire, and the fetus carries tainted blood to birth.
𝔒 Curseed Enchanted Items can create Vampires, such as vampiric swords that collect the blood of their enemies, and when the carrier dies, is brought back as a Vampire at the cost of their Constitution. They are bound to their sword for eternity until a dead undeath.
𝔒 Vampires need permission to enter houses, can be damaged by running water, silver, stakes, and cannot regenerate when in water.
Can There be Different Forms of Vampirism?
𝔒 In short yes, there are many. We're looking at Elven Vampirism. It is called the Dominion of Dread.
𝔒 There can be Gnome, Dwarf, Kender, and other humanoid forms of vampirism.
𝔒 some subcategories of Vampirism include Cerebral (they are a slim subdominon that can walk in the sun), Corpse Vampire (they are Spellplagued beings that arose from improper burials and evil energy pollution), Dhampyrs (sun-walkers who have tainted blood from vampires), Hellborn (they are sun-walkers, who cannot fly or turn into gaseous forms), Master Vampire which is the most common and what Cazador is (evilly perfected beings with a gaggle of spawn), Nosferatu (Hideous beings found in the Domain of Dread), Velya (Aquatic Vampires), Vampyre (rare Faerûnian Vampires that have the ability to cast fire).
𝔒 Let's talk about Vampyre for a moment, ya'll will eat this shit up. They are able to transfer life energy to undead or living by way of breath or kissing, which revitalizes them.
𝔒 Elven Vampirism; only full elves or half-elves can contract. In the 14th century had a presence in Toril of the Prime Material Plane.
𝔒 They prefer forest climate.
𝔒 Often adorning scarred and twisted face, shocking and scaring those who gaze. Typically they hide it under dark robes. Maybe that's why Cazador has a crazy amount of acne-looking scars.
𝔒 They harbour deep hatred for all thing beautiful, vibrant, and lovely.
𝔒 Super unfriendly neighbors. Destroyed and corrupt anyone who tried to farm or live near their lairs.
𝔒 Adept perception, particularly for hidden seals and entrances.
𝔒 Their polymorphs are often eagles. Snd their ability to command animals varies to wolves, badgers, prey birds, hawks, porcupines, monkey rats, and weasels.
𝔒 They sustain life on the Charisma of other creatures. Victims suffer from disfigurement after feeding, too many or too big of a feeding results in victims feeling suicidal. Anyone who succumbed to those urges who become undead spawn.
𝔒 The touch of an Elven Vampire can wither any plant away. They can feel the exact pain and agony the plant goes through as it happens. Elves are connected with nature but this feature drove them mad if cursed with vampirism.
What are the Differences in Vampire Spawn?
𝔒 They don't have all the abilities of a True Vampire, but suffer from the same weaknesses and vulnerabilities.
𝔒 If freed from their Masters control, they are unable to be enslaved again.
𝔒 If they posses Spider Climb, they are capable of walking on walls and ceilings.
HEADCANONS
𝔙 Astarion can walk on walls, he's uncanny about it. It really adds to his Dexterity and scares the shit out of his prey during a fight.
𝔙 He doesn't have Elven Vampirism, have you seen his face? he put the definiton of beauty to shame. but he does hate flowers and loves vanity, also ruining others people's fun.
𝔙 He's got the regular form of vampirism under a Master Vampire, but because he lost vanity and can't see his beauty, he ruins it for others. It's not an obession yet, but it stabs his ego quite a bit. A bitter fuck he is.
𝔙 He cannot be re-enslaved, but if he could, by a Cerebral vamp, he'd get the ability to walk in the sun.
𝔙 He can't see his shadow. or face, or reflection, that's all a given. but he CAN, ladies and gents, see himself through your eyes using a tadpole. Even more he feels how you feel about him. It's a dangerous game to play, letting himself see him through your eyes.
𝔙 Astarion will lay down in the dust and have you trace his figure. He can guess his height from general objects he's around but he likes doing that. Not the dusty part though.
𝔙 If you let him drink from you, it can't be all the time. You gotta know the days you're in intense combat or rolling in a skill you're not proficient in.
𝔙 “maybe you’ll meet some new buddies Astarion!!“ “ ‘buddies’? “ “yeah the Shadowfell has a shit load of vampires and undead” “I will not be making ‘buddies’ with anyone”
𝔙 He has longer fangs that come out when he's about to feast, you only get to catch glimpses of it.
𝔙 You can find Astarion in streams of water, unharmed by it. He gets a chance to reconnect with being a regular elf again, touch nature and swim in streams.
𝔑𝔖𝔉𝔚𝔑𝔖𝔉𝔚𝔑𝔖𝔉𝔚𝔑𝔖𝔉𝔚𝔑𝔖𝔉𝔚𝔑𝔖𝔉𝔚𝔑𝔖𝔉𝔚𝔑𝔖𝔉𝔚𝔑𝔖𝔉𝔚𝔑𝔖𝔉𝔚
NSFW BELOW
𝔙 You and Astarion love swimming at night. He can admire the glimmering water and fresh feeling on his skin. and you get to see him naked, you love it. It often can lead to something more, or just chatting on the edge of the bank.
𝔙 He can't get hard without blood circulating. Cazador let him feast on bugs and rats before "dates" as to lure victims in. with you it's so easy, he doesn't have to beg or starve before sexy time, he can just go and kill boar or bear and keep his energy up.
𝔙 He only needs to meditate for 4 hours with the tadpole like a normal elf, before, the meditation was impossible. He's got a lot of energy. and if you're an elf, you'll plan the same meditation time and wake up with him so you can chat or have alone time together. if you require sleep, he'll prod and poke you until you wake up to have alone time together when he's feeling extra needy.
This is going to be too many words to spend on a baby show for babies, but I watched Jake and the Pirates That Don't Know What Pirates Are.
1st, the things I liked- the Jewish pirate ghost and his thicc gf, the pink sea serpent that definitely isn't Serendipity or Happy Ness, and these guys:
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
It's like they wanted to apologize for mangling Hook's character, so they loaded the last bit of the show with cute monster guys.
Which brings me to the thing that brings the whole show down. What did you butchers do to my baby boy James? You lobotomized him, straight-washed him, and gave him a pathological fixation with tReaZuRe.
loving your evil spirit outsider cat thing. wanna ask what youd do with darktail in this, and if hed be Especially fucked up ™️ since he made a group of his own as a mockery if clan life
WARNING FOR BODY HORROR UNDER THE CUT
Starclan is MUCH harsher with DarkTail and the Kin's punishment
There's also a lot more Kin members, especially ones from Skyclan who were Daylight Warriors
DarkTail takes the form of a hideous, gnarled and bony figure.
His face sags to an extreme degree, forever making him appear distraught and depressed
When DarkTail speaks, the other cats speak too in a horrifying cacophony of wheezy voices
As for his followers…
More cats from the Kin die and are punished alongside DarkTail
They are morphed onto him, latching onto his mangled fur and loose skin like vile leeches, claws grabbing and poking at his bones and fur
There's many of them, so much so that they make him appear serpent-like
His followers can detach themselves from the host, they are able to half slither half crawl
They also support him whenever he hoists himself up to make himself taller
You can't see any visible legs on DarkTail, but you know that they're in there… somewhere
Forever they are to slither through the damp, oily waters and swamps of the Dark Forest
The followers were greatly punished for siding with DarkTail, for going against Starclan and for making a mockery of their "great and powerful clans". Some of the cats apart of his mass are as follows:
Rain
Silt
SpikeFur
DawnPelt (Although her ghost is found detached from the host)
MistCloud
LionEye
BirchBark
Max
Many other cats that I have yet to choose
Tumblr media
A mock-up concept sketch of what I envision, it's bound to change especially since I don't have a solid design for DarkTail yet, just think of this as the base. Also doesn't include even half of the cats attached to him
As for TBC: (Still a WIP)
AshFur comes across DarkTail, the latter charging towards him, only to stop when AshFur stops him right in his tracks with just his paw alone
The two talk and devise together, AshFur promises that he can release DarkTail and the others
He also promises to change them all back to normal
DarkTail agrees to this and works besides AshFur. Unknowing of the grey spotted tom's selfish desires
MORNIN’
One of my besties hit me up after training and said “I am getting a tattoo.” So I am going for moral support. But then I was thinking about the concept of support. Sometimes support comes in the form of two besties. Sometimes the support is a mangled duck plushie you’ve had since birth. Sometimes you take the role of the mangled duck plushie and you have to be soft and quiet and there. Other times your mouth be moving at 1000000000 miles and hour just to keep ur besties mind off shit. EITHER WAY. Lets look at supporting roles in your life. 🧸
Pick a meme
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Pick a card
Tumblr media
The Hierophant 🍴
Sun in sagittarius, Jupiter in Pisces, Taurus, Chokmah through Chesed, Earth
Support through an older adult dude. Its giving hot history teacher vibes almost. Sometimes the best support is your teachers or community members. However if we are looking outside of support of a person. This card can represent the self support one can feel when they believe in their own practices and beliefs. But be careful. If you believe to much you will succumb to dogma (chaote no no) and instead of higher learning you will be prattling on spitting out nothing but insane nonsense.
Fortitude 🦁
Daughter of the flaming swords, serpent, Teth, leo
Mastery of the primal via the divine. I guess the saying usually goes: “You have to take the bull by the horns.” In this case its a lion. Fortitude means you show courage not only in a scary situation but when things are actively working against you or when you yourself are hurting. In this situation you have to be your own support. Use the divinity within you to take the lion down without you.
Death 🥀
Saturn in house 8, Scorpio, Axis of Tiphareth to Netzach, water
You need support in the fact that you need to let something the fuck go even if its painful. This card represents the end of something which can be hard or easy. And the rebirth or the beginning of something which can either be welcomed or unwelcomed. Either way you need support either within you or without you. You could also feel supported with such a stark change. The security that shit will change and nothing will ever will be permanent. The most permanent thing is the fact that shit is impermanent may as well accept it. Its easier to accept with friends though.
The Lovers 🧸
Children of the Voice of the Divine, Zain, Sword, sagittarius, temperance
This card shows the myth of Andromeda and Perseus. Perseus coming to Andromedas aid when shes chained to the rock as an offering to a monster. Please note this can be any type of love. Also please note that your loved ones DO want to help do not seclude yourself from your friends, family, or significant other. They can be there for you to lean on. Feeling love is feeling the divine if you need help those who love you are happy to help just like you are happy to help those who you love.
caring prompts | not accepting @cvrseduser
it takes a moment to change someone's life; that's a truth yuuta knows too well. a string of these moments had gotten yuuta to where he was today: shadowing his mentor—his savior—at the temple to free people of their stressors—cursed spirits, as geto-sama had called them.
for the first few people who had come in, yuuta attentively watched as the older curse user had kindly heard them out, noting the spirits idly hanging from the people in different places, in different ways. yuuta made a mental note that none of the people were even remotely aware of the clinging creatures. non-sorcerers only knew the pressure and the negative emotions they felt.
when a young woman walks in and states her own issues, geto-sama's welcoming hand gestures to the woman as he encourages yuuta to try it now that he's seen him exorcise a few of the small curses plaguing the lives of these harmless people. the teen is hesitant at first, never having dealt with such small targets, never having worried about another person when it comes to eliminating cursed spirits. he'd usually just fight curses under the supervision of another member of the organization and weaken the spirits enough for rika to bring back to his mentor for his consumption. it was better geto-sama stored them rather than let them roam japan unattended and risking civilian lives.
yuuta relents after his mentor reminds him of his great progress during training, his nonstop practicing, his new ability to release rika at will—his beautiful connection to his lost companion. yuuta feels silly for doubting his own abilities, sheepishly scratching his head with a smile.
"i guess you're right, " he says as he steps up to the lady, who they have learned is a freshman in university and stressed from the ongoing exams. she is also experiencing intense back pain that doctors were unable to treat or diagnose, attributing it to the nonstop studying. yuuta's eyes don't miss the serpent-like spirit wrapped around her waist, possibly flirting with the idea of crushing her entirely one day.
"rika," yuuta calls, his own curse appearing, ready to heed his orders as she always had. "let's help her out, alright?" he asks softly, nodding to the girl with a thumbs up. his smile from earlier finally reaching his eyes.
with this, rika slashes at the cursed spirit, ripping more than just the spirit from the girl. rika had stricken too strong; more than the curse is exorcised. a chunk of the young woman's midsection is gone; her body thuds as it hits the ground. however, with the threat eliminated, rika retires, leaving the scene in just a moment.
for a second, yuuta can't move. he watches as the blood begins to pool around his shoes, white sneakers sullied by red liquid. his breathing is even—silent almost—until it's not.
it dawns on him that the stains are a consequence of his own doing, another innocent life taken by him. the sight of red is his reminder of his crimes against his classmates—his reminder of rika, her lifeless body, her mangled corpse drowned in a puddle of blood. it's too much for him to bear.
silence is soon replaced with panic as his heart begins to pound against his ribcage, his eyes widening as he fixes his gaze beyond his shoes to the woman, now missing a chunk of her body. his arms raise to grip at his own hair, yanking a few strands out in his alarmed state as though bringing pain to him will pull him from some sort of dream—nightmare.
it doesn't.
oh god. this can't be happening—he'd been on such a roll with training. bringing out rika had gone so well over the past month. he'd been able to wield her without casualties among geto-sama and the other members of his organization.
geto-sama!—he'd spent much of his time trying to prove to him and the other curse users—jujutsu sorcerer, as geto called them—that he wasn't just some murderer, that he was someone whose gift would help change the world.
his eyes dart from the woman to his shoes, geto's feet visible in the corner of his eye, red soaking the fabric on his feet. his eyes briefly glance up to his mentor, before returning to the floor as guilt begins to consume him. he thinks he saw the remains of a smile on his teacher's face, but yuuta assumes it's from when he sweetly encouraged the teen to put what he'd learned in training into practice. that thought makes the 16-year-old all the more distraught. he was not making a good case for himself.
yuuta's knees hit the floor as he pushes his hands against the woman's open flesh, a futile attempt at stopping the outpour of blood from spilling any further.
"i—" yuuta begins, voice shakey, yet loud at the same time. tears begin to well in the corner of his eyes. "i didn't mean to—rika just—she missed. she didn't mean to—i didn't mean to kill her."
"i'm sorry; i'm sorry—"
his plead abruptly stops as he feels a gentle squeeze on his shoulder. he jerks up at the sudden contact, reflexively peering over his shoulder. his mentor's calm voice breaks through the turbulence.
❛  it's okay. i've got you. you're safe now.  ❜
this time, yuuta doesn't hesitate to look up at geto-sama. yuuta is not exactly calm, but he does feel relief that it seems as though his mentor understands that it was a mistake and isn't mad. although he is reassured, it doesn't stop yuuta from trembling as he presses against the open wound. "it's not. i just hurt her. she's bleeding—she's gone," he explains quickly, as though geto has the solution to this situation.
yet, at the back of yuuta's mind, he knows any advice doesn't change what happened at that moment.
