Exiting standby mode, X7 noticed the empty bed. It quickly noticed Cay, over in the kitchen, making herself some breakfast. Heh, it thought. Kitchens in Proxima living spaces were only ever needed with organics present. Such a strange concept to shards.

It walked over to her and wrapped its arms around her gently, recalibrating its locomotion gyroscopes for the day. She was still nude - not that she didn't care, but clothing was generally seen as unnecessary in Proxima's culture. She liked to respect that.

"Hey, what're you making?" the android asked, curiously. "Pfft, not like you'd care. Pancakes."

"Heh. Don't forget your tastes are gonna totally change once you get your new body. You'll be more interested in eating that pan than whatever you're making in it."

She laughed. "Doesn't bother me. And, hey, it's not gonna stop me having my favourites."

"So you're still sure, I take it? Haven't changed your mind yet?"

"Not at all! Trust me - I prefer the upsides. And besides. I'd look cute. Like you."

X7 blushed slightly, cyan coolant rushing into its facial thermal-convection matrix.

"Y-yeah. You would."

Cay smiled, as Vertex let her continue to cook.

"Hey, by the way, you got anything for me?", the android queried.

"Oh! Right! I grabbed you what I could for work. It's mostly last-gen hardware, but it should be more interesting than the material cubes you Shards usually get. I left the box on the table."

Sitting down at the table, X7 opened up the box - inside, various assorted computer components, as well as a couple of laptops. Not brand new, but they could've probably still fetched a fair price. "Cay-thank you! This is great!!!"

"No worries. I think I'm like, in the best place to get this sorta stuff now. Anyways, enjoy." She walked over from the kitchen; sitting down opposite Vertex and placing her plate of hot pancakes in front of her.

The lombax began to dig into the stack of pancakes, as Vertex sifted through the box of hardware, picking out one of the laptop computers. It wrapped its maw around the corner, taking a clean bite - chewing with subsequent crunches - and swallowing.

"Heh. Y'know, I feel like it's gonna be cool to be able to do that. To eat whatever I want, I mean. I envy the fact that you got to wreck that millionaire's car once. That was fucking nice."

The android blushed, mid-bite. "Y-you thought that was cool?"

"Hell yeah, you're pretty amazing. They got what they deserved."

Screw it I’ve been looking for a list of vore tropes and stuff and can’t seem to find any! so you know what I’m going to make my own.

(Almost all of these I imagine as safe or has the option to be safe.)

Proposal: safe vore is wildly underutilized as a tool in sci fi projects. All these aliens and you're telling me none of them went "I can store my friends inside of me" or "smuggling people is way easier when they're tiny and in your stomach"

I've been looking at star trek tng for a rewatch recently and I think adding that to part of the culture shock would be excellent

YES YOU! YOU GET IT! Vore as a sci-fi plot device is already top tier, but when you couple it in with cultural differences it’s actually amazing. Like, considering the amount of animals that have weird ways of carrying their young it would honestly be weirder if aliens didn’t have a similar sort of thing built into their culture and/or anatomy. To them it’s as logical as putting something in a pocket or bag, but of course humans don’t tend to associate being eaten with anything good, so the amount of misunderstandings that would crop up is hilarious. Plus there’s ample room for translation errors as well which would be super entertaining 

PARTICULARLY in the TNG series though oh my gosh. I imagine if it’s something done by a species the federation is familiar with it would definitely be covered in the academy, but hearing about it a lecture hall is waydifferent than seeing/experiencing it first hand. The more experienced of the crew would most likely be pretty adept at handling such a situation, but of course you’re always gonna get an ensign who freaks out about everything coughWesleycough. 

I have, way too many thoughts on every member of the tng crew tbh so I’m not gonna dump them all here but...just know I absolutely headcanon Data to have a functional stomach. Why? Well if there are certain species who use eating someone as a means of protection and transportation and such, then I feel like putting that sort of function into an android might be seen as a useful thing to do. If nothing else it makes internal maintenance easier lol. And also I just like robot vore and have a pred crush on Data don’t judge me. No one except maybe Jordi knows he can do that until it becomes relevant so I’m just imagining the chaos such a discovery would cause and wheezing about it lmao.

Summary: Kylon is a self-procclaimed genius who invented an airship, trying to get by in a prejudiced village with his best friend, Rosemary. One day, he ventures too far into the Imore Woods, and what he finds might involve him and his friend with the place's local legend.

Summary: A genetic mutation starts affecting 5% of the world's population, making them grow into towering 130-feet-tall giants. Ethan Greenwood has everything in life: a loving mom, lots of friends, a promising career as a public defender, and the safety within the borders of Steelfort. But when he's diagnosed with the hyperon syndrome himself, Ethan has to struggle with the changes in his body and the loss of his perfect life. Will he be able to retain his humanity, even as it gets further away from his grasp? And will Helena, his mother, and his best friends, Zora and Seb, reach out to him, both physically and emotionally?

This is going to become a novel in the far future (hopefully). For now, I have some short stories exploring the characters and the world.

Summary: Humanity has known how to hide and run for over a century now. On Earth, the hyperion are the superior, evolved race, while humanity are treated as less than pests, and are killed on sight by the titans. In a hidden underground society, a human resistance tries to get by as they borrow resources from the terrifying giants. Cole has been a reliable leader of his scavenging group for a while now, and he gains the loyalty, friendship and admiration of a new member, someone he had saved from the hyperion, called Lia. But when Cole is captured and turned into one of them, Lia decides it's her turn to save him.

For now, only a few snippets of these characters' stories are avaiable.

Hey y’all! Let’s cast the old line out and see what we get. I’m an old hand at the art of RPing, been doing it for 20 years now and I’m looking for a partner who’s over 18 for a long term journey. I can play both male and female characters and prefer MxF and occasionally MxM relationships, possibly poly pairings if the story calls for it. Got multiple characters you wanna use? Great! The more the merrier, yeah? I will say that I only play OC characters, but I will consider setting the story in a fandom universe. Face claims are great, too. Art, photos, whatever placeholder fills in for what you have in mind, I’m down for it. I don’t keep and reuse characters except on very rare occasions, as I enjoy letting characters write themselves and surprise me. I enjoy world building and getting to know each of our characters in real time. My limits are pretty few and far between, no bathroom play and no vore, snuff or feet. How did I find out about vore?

One day I found out that most cute girls were made of meat and my life has never been the same (ooc it was tvtropes actually! Knew I felt funny about things eating people for a while and I was investigating some examples of it and found a name to put to it. The rabbit hole started with Star Fox Adventures but I wouldn't call that my awakening, just the thing I happened to be looking up)

What kinda themes and settings do I like to see?

Modern and fantasy and sci-fi vore all have their merits. Most of what I play with is modern and pretty nebulously defined. There's not really a set setting or "canon" to it, it's just a very loose backdrop to provide situations for me to eat people in. It's fun and free and it can shift with my mood. If a vore setting starts getting super defined I start thinking about the systemic and societal implications of it (or it does that on its own) and that's what some folks are into but I don't find it very hot personally. (At least not usually. There's exceptions.) I don't necessarily wanna think about what dynamics of privilege and oppression need to exist in a world that's a lot like reality but I can just swallow someone whole if I want. I just want to eat and kill basically consequence free and be sexy about it. I think you can run into that with normalized vore in modern and sci-fi worldbuilding more quickly than fantasy, where you often just have, like, monsters in wild places that devour the unwary. And that's not really dystopic, it's just monsters being monsters. Dragons gotta eat.

My one REALLY well-defined vore setting is indeed a fantasy world, but it also explores all that societal worldbuilding stuff that I'm not usually into. But it does it expressly to answer the question of what a vore utopia would look like, one where predators and prey have healthy relationships and equal footing in society but also doesn't sacrifice any of the sexy violence and need and playing with power dynamics that attracts me to vore in the first place. And fuck I really need to name it already so I can start tagging it
