if you go back to the part of Cyber City with the “Welcome to the City” sign after getting back a full party, the save star will say “You are mostly filled with the power of fluffy boys and mean girls. The cat signs still comprises about one percentage of it”

DFX 452 Post 7.5: Revisiting Save Star Model (Mar 17, 2024)

Why Have I Not Been Active For A While?

Hey, sorry I haven't updated much till now. After working on the window model, I ended up hurting my back and was unable to do much work till it started to feel better. It still hurts a little, but I can do some work in bed, and sit in a chair, without feeling heavily uncomfortable, for a decent amount of time now. But this post isn't for focus on my back pain, is it? no. It's for going into what I have slowly been working on, as my back improves.

Star Model Revamp:

I wanted to initially just have a save star for Undertale, but I felt like something was off. And then it hit me. It's a FOUR point to Eight-point star, not a SIX-to-TWELVE-point star. Looking into more references I found that out. References:

With that knowledge I wanted to revisit the model and work on it since it shouldn't take that long to do and was overall simple. I made a cube, made it skinnier, and with a few edge loops, from my trusty multi-cut tool, I was able to have what I wanted to start with. I ended up making 2 Four sided stars, with a similar method the first versions of the SAVE star, and then took renders of them after rotating one of them and stretching the top and bottoms of the other.

What Next With The Star? After that I added some texture to it and moved it to the overall judgement hall and added texturing. I do want to add a looping twinkling animation to it at some point for the demo reel but, there are other things to focus on for now. It decently was an improvement and looks more like the reference.

When I found out Paramount+ was removing Star Trek: Prodigy I bought all 20 episodes of S1 from Amazon Video since that was the only way for me to watch all 20 at the time. On 6/27, I lost access to episodes 10-20. Amazon has done what they can, which isn't much.

All 20 were accessible when I paid for all 20. The full season is what I was buying. Now, I only have access to 9 of the episodes.

What is the point of buying digital content if they're just going to steal it back from you afterwards?! Is this not false advertisement?

crowley used the metal tool in season 1 to start time, and we learn that he's used it first to start space. to create the stars -- he still remembers how. he still remembers all of heaven's passwords: in the book crowley is described as an optimist because he has the "utter surety... that the universe would look after him". not god, but the universe. and of course he does: he helped create it and he's looking after it, too.

think about it: aziraphale had a sword, but crowley is about to face satan who wants to destroy the world, and crowley's only weapon is a tool of creation
