I’m p sure everyone knows by now, but Sam’s club is actually a boxing one! the inside is fairly detailed, plus Tommy has an unused boxer outfit so at some point in the game it was going to be usable, maybe something like how Bully lets you brawl in the boxing ring and whatnot!

Fr, wtf is this decision for a marshmallow? It's not even something fun kids want to see like the dragon marshmallows currently also on all other store shelves. What kind of kid wants to be reminded of shopping at Sam's Club. Heck, the branding makes no sense. What makes this a "Sam's Club Blue Diamond" as opposed to many other blue diamonds? These are just squares tilted and painted blue. Who approved of this and how did they even think this was a good idea?

Thanksgiving Weekend Shopping in the U.S.

TL;DR: Unless absolutely necessary, do not go into a grocery store again until Black Friday or beyond. And if you do, be prepared for the culture and treat everyone with respect.

Dear Friends and Folks,

Tomorrow marks the weekend before Thanksgiving. I will be working at the store from 10-6 on Saturday, Sunday, and Monday.

If you do not need anything for the holiday try not to go to a grocery store this weekend.

If you are not desperate for food and can make do with what you have at home, do not go out to a grocery store this weekend.

It should be obvious, but it will be busy.

I'm not talking about, "Oh, silly me, I shouldn't have come on Sunday!" busy. I'm talking about hordes of people busy.

Not the normal people, either.

These people will be stressed out and desperate. They will be wandering the aisles wide-eyed and fierce.

Some will be looking for precious ingredients for their great great relatives recipe.

Some will be trying to prove themselves to relatives they've never met from a family they've just joined.

Some will be meandering to see what things are left.

Some will be numb with fear and terrified with the weight of procrastination or expectation.

Very few of them will be nice. Some will be fake nice. One or two will be genuinely empathetic. This is not because they are not nice people but because the weight of the holiday is something that drives our culture to a self-centered and protective ego that does not allow for being aware of other people or their needs.

They will block the aisles.

They will insist that workers are wrong when they ask questions and are given correct answers that buck against what their expectations were.

The stores will be understaffed and understocked.

We will not be understocked primarily because we don't have enough food but because we are not able to get into the back and out on the floor to work that food onto the shelves because there will be too many customers to service and not enough of us to secure the shelves are full.

We will not be overly kind though we will try to be courteous. We will not have time to discuss and have conversations with our customers. We will try to get you out quickly because there are so many.

Please do not read our stress as a slight against you. We are coping. You are coping. Let it be.

I cannot stress this enough, if you do not need to be at a grocery store this weekend, do not come. Come on Friday the 24th. Or that weekend.

We are all victims of this cultural symptom of a manufactured capitalist driven consumer rush together. Let's try to respect each other. Thank you.
