sam and dean having special, movie-based codes to keep their stories straight when they bring civilians to hospitals. they know cops might get involved and they want to avoid as much attention as possible. but they’re sam and dean, so all these codes are like super fucked up. “spit on your grave” means they’re claiming they just found someone like this and brought them to the hospital. “dueling banjos” means these people got kidnapped and we found them. “bambi” means hunting accident; “willy wonka” means factory or work accident. &c. they decide their cover story through this shorthand. you’re fucking dying in the back of a 1967 impala and the freaks in the front are saying “wonka or bambi?” “fuck it, cujo.”

It would be COMICAL if Dean just kept up appearances for the bit, in regards to his sexuality.

I feel like he's more secure with his sexuality (Aaron "he was my gay thing" Bass, the man-appearing Siren, "are you strictly into dick now?", him guiding Charlie on how to flirt with the security guard who also happened to be a man; these things are met with nonchalance by Sam, so Dean's probably exhibited these behaviors/interests since before Stanford) than he is with his masculinity and gender alignment (the infamous Rhonda Hurley satiny panties but also the special kind of joy he found in dressing up and spicing up his wardrobe; the deflection of girl-adjacent labels but calling himself pretty.)

Anyways the point of this was, I just thought about Dean dropping the biggest, loudest F-slur one day and Sam turning to him like—Dean, Dean you can't just say that. And Dean looks up from whatever it is that's frustrating him and says, damn it Sam shut up I'm part of the rainbow mafia or whatever now help me with this thing—
