Ok so imaging allura and romelle talking about altean culture. Allura is excited because she can talk with alteans again and share her culture, and romelle is excited because she is a fucking princess omg and so when they start talking, it becomes clear that 10000 years its enough time for a society to change. So allura goes "oh i love this traditional meal" and romelle like "i never heard about that food" and romelle "Oh yeah and that music we listen" and allura "I dont know the instruments even" and they start to feel more and more apart and sad because none of them can cheer the other. Until they are i dont know, drinking tea and allura cheers and romelle do the same and allura explains its also something alteans did and romelle tells her that they also do it and that little thing cheers them up.

i am glad to be back!! as for allura ships. i have Controversial opinions on that bc i’m annoying. i never actually watched s7&8, so i didn’t see much romelle/allura development (altho my amazing friend @mothmanavenue has done a wonderful job convincing me about how beautiful those two are fr check her out), and as much as fanon lotura can be great i’m not quite over the Lotor Used Allura’s People As Batteries thing. i also cannot make myself fond of lotor as all for lots of reasons (to me he is the space equivalent of jeff bezos’ son should he have one), so pairing him with allura, who is the love of my entire life, is not my fave pastime (altho i won’t like block the ship or whatever i just won’t really write it).

i like veronallura bc i’m irritating. i just think it would be really funny for everyone involved. allura did fall for a mcclain she’s just a lesbian so

No, I do not ship Sheith, Allurance, or anything of the sort, and I never will. All you will find here is Klance and maybe possibly some other side ships like Shadam, Hunay (love that one, it’s so pure <3), Romura (cute!), and a few others. If I had to chose characters that canonically showed interest in each other, I would say that Allura and Lotor were great for each other. Before Lotor went evil, they were actually cute and balanced each other out. Don’t tell me you didn’t see Allura going all starry-eyed for Lotor.

If you don’t agree, then don’t be on my blog.

And most importantly, ABSOLUTELY NO HATE. Not towards me or to others who may comment on one of my posts. I WILL NOT HESITATE TO REPORT YOU.

Voltron Part 39

Time for this thing to get wrapped up! Let’s start with season 8! After a pretty mediocre S7 that was a follow-up of a great S6, I’m hoping for something better. But, well. The general consensus seems to be, that this season sucks. But lemme paint my own picture first. Episodes 1+2 let’s go! :

Was the Tv-show a refernce to the 80s Voltron?

I like Altean Evangelion pilot’s design

Lance has got some angst to work through

Okay, it is a direct refernce to 80s Voltron. And Lance is not supporting Kallura,

And I guess that’s also an Allurance and Klance moment, cause Hunk joked about a love triangle

(Yes, for a love-triangle there needs to be at least one queer person. Y’all just don’t get shapes)

Was the comment about “getting Allura a little wrong” supposed to be about the change of her skin colour? Cause if so. Well. yikes

Does anybody else think, that it’s weird for the Garrison to send these kids back into space, to end a war?

Gosh, why are Shiro and Keith so serious?

This episode is very clearly pushing Allurance, but I’m just sitting happily over here, with my Romura crumbs

Did space witch use the magic-planet’s defences to create the Evangelion robot. Or was that just an extra thing she did?

Ooooooohhh. Lotor pulled a Pink Diamond and fucked up his first colony by not destroying the planet

I’ve said it since season3, but: The. Entirety. Of. Lotor’s. Family. Needs. Therapy.

quick question-- why is the voltron fandom so scarred? like, a lot of y’all just seem so scared of it, and almost frightened? someone made a post about seeing vld trending and they freaked out until they remembered it was lance’s birthday?? i got into it in 2019 spring, but only watched one or two seasons before diving headfirst into klance fics, and the fandom was pretty active then. but i came back over the summer and y’all were just like, “we don’t talk about it. we. don’t. talk. about. it.” and it’s kinda funny but also scary cause i was planning on finishing the series and now i’m afraid?? pls explain?? i’m so curious??? i’m okay w/ spoilers ftr

Winter on Earth

Summary: Romelle and Allura get away in the middle of a snowball fight on a “family” vacation. Genre: fluff

A/N: Bub’s sorry it’s so short, it’s a tiny little fluff one-shot that they wrote to cheer themself up. They won’t get into any details but essentially it’s a self indulgent comfort fic about their brand new comfort ship.

Allura and Romelle hadn’t been living on Earth very long, only a few months at the most. It goes without saying they were rather… unprepared for the shift in seasons. When they were back in Space changes in seasons weren’t as obvious. They were there alright, but very subtly and nothing like the harsh changes here on Earth.

Hunk had thought it’d be a good idea to go to the mountains for what he called a “vacation.” It was different there, that’s for sure. Back in Texas it had been much warmer but here in the Smoky Mountains it was frigid.

The cold nipped at Allura’s skin as she stood outside, ankle deep in some soft white powder. It didn’t feel how Allura expected it to, she thought it would have a cold bite like the air but instead it burnt. It was almost as if she was standing in fire. The amount of layers she was bundled up in would have been extremely discomforting and distracting had it not been for her fellow former paladins of Voltron playing in the snow.

She felt the ghost of a grin beginning to creep across her face, turning her cheeks to her ears. Her smile only brightened as Romelle ran over to grab her hand and run away, screaming and giggling.

Despite the rush of happiness that had shot through her body this was enough to snap her back to reality and out of her thoughts. She was being dragged across the lawn by a cackling Romelle, both of them being pelted by snowballs that the others were launching at them. The two alteans ducked behind a boulder, hesitating momentarily as they stared at each other while trying to catch up to their thoughts before bursting into a shared fit of laughter.

“You should have seen the look on Lance’s face after Keith got a facefull of snow!” Romelle was struggling out between cackles.

Allura giggled in response, the blonde alteans laughter was an infectious virus, able to brighten up anyone's day and make even the most stone-faced crack at least the faintest of grins.

“He was so pissed! I think he’s gonna kill me!” She exclaimed.

They shared a few more seconds of giggles before being interrupted by a “GOTCHA!” which caused Romelle to let out a shrill squeal. Once again she snatched Alluras hand and took off.

The next few moments were a blur, snow crunching beneath their feet as they bolted to get away from who they could only assume was Lance attempting to exact his revenge on Romelle for nailing his boyfriend in the face with a chunk of ice. They didn’t know how far they got or how long they’d been running but eventually they made it away.

Both completely out of breath they sat on the top of a boulder by a cliff. After their giggle fit died down Allura allowed her head to rest on Romelle’s shoulder, admiring the view.

“It’s beautiful, isn’t it?” She sighed dreamily.

“Not as beautiful as you.” Romelle responded, gently pressing a kiss to Allura’s forehead.

“Ohh, hush.”

“You know I’m right.”

They sat in silence for a moment before Allura spoke again, “I love you Romelle.”

“I love you too, princess.”
