Temari was pregnant on her wedding day: A Naruto Timeline analysis

[usual disclaimer: I love studying canon timeline but no one's headcanons have to be bound to it just do what you like bye]

Note: for simplicity, I gave years numbers, the Kyuubi attack/Naruto's birth are in 2000 and the other dates are based on that

Fact 1: Gaara is at least 20

In Gaara Hidden, one of the councilmen tells Gaara "You've steadily grown, and reached the age of twenty" and Temari and Shikamaru are in the process of choosing their wedding date in this novel as well, so the Wedding has to happen later than that.

We know from the data book that Gaara is from the same school year as Naruto, and born in January, so he is born in January 2001. (In Japan, the school year is from April to March of the next year and the children in the same class are the ones born during the same school year, not civil year. If you want to know why I say that data books are based on school years, not civil years, flick me a request and I will happily do so! Just not here because it'd be too long.)

We can conclude that the wedding is in February 2021 or later.

Fact 2: Shikadai graduates 15 years after the 4th war

There is no indication that I've found in canon material about when the Boruto events happen, but we can read in this interview that Naruto Gaiden happens 15 years after the last chapter of Naruto. (We will have to assume that "last chapter" here means chapter 699, not 700, or else all the new gen has spent 15 years being teenagers at the academy.) Naruto Gaiden opens with Shino telling the class (Shikadai is there) that the graduation exam will be in a week.

The issue here is that chapter 699 happens in October (Minato says happy birthday to Naruto in chapter 691 the same day, and we know from the data books he was born in October) and the graduation is presumably in March (again, that's one the school year ends, and Itachi is also said to graduate "in the springtime" in Itachi Shinden). So it could mean either 15,5 years later, or 14,5 years later.

The 4th War happens in October 2017 (Naruto turns 17 during it, that's the age the data book gives us).

We can conclude that Shikadai graduates either in March 2032 or 2033.

Fact 3: Shikadai graduates at 11

It is the minimum age as per the law (it is said in Itachi Shinden, this law is made shortly before the Rookie 9 graduate: “now that it was a time of peace [...] it was no longer possible to graduate in a short time [...] no matter how talented Sasuke was, he couldn't become a ninja until he was eleven years old”).

It is the age at which all the Rookie 9 graduate (they are said to turn 12 during the first year of naruto and 13 during the second, again, I can give more details about data book ages in another post if needed).

The naruto wiki tells me that the Naruto data book says he is 12 for the Chuunin Exam, but the scan I have of the data book do not seem to indicate any age that I can find?

So this is not 100% a fact that I have found a canon material number about, but it's the most logical possibility (he's not allowed to graduate younger, there's no reason he would graduate older, this is what happened to the previous gen, and this is what the whole fandom seems to believe, so, yeah).

Similarly, everyone seems to agree that his birthday is September 23, I have not found where that comes from yet, but I have to assume it does come from somewhere. If you know please tell me!

[Edit: apparently it comes from a bonus calendar in the Shounen Jump issue 6-7 of 2019 but I haven't found a scan yet.]

We can conclude that Shikadai was born in either September 2020 or 2021, depending on the graduation date.

Conclusion

If Gaara Hiden and the wedding were in 2021, Shikadai cannot have been born in 2020, so he has to be born in September 2021. If we imagine that Gaara Hiden takes place right after Gaara's birthday (the earliest date) and then Temari and Shikamaru got married on the month that followed, Temari would have been 2 months pregnant, and this is the minimum she could have been.

inho was born december 05, 2001, a sag baby

raised by a single mother, and his dad dipped before he was born

his mom was 16 when she had him

they allowed his mom to stay she graduated high school but kicked her out the same day

his whole life they were poor and required a large amount of government assistance to get by

inho has a terrible relationship with his mother. she blames him for how her life ended up

she would verbally degrade him, and frequently left inho home alone to go party with friends or her new boyfriend and do drugs

there were times she or her partners would physically abuse him

up until he was about thirteen he never fought back, but then he began to, both with his words and his fists

has a problem to this day with his temper and getting into fights, has punched many a hole into a wall

his dad briefly would show up on occasion, but never for more than a few weeks

when inho was 17 his dad got his mom pregnant again with his little sister, inhye

inhye is the light of his life and he works very hard to protect her and give her a good life

nowadays she frequently lives with him and he finds a way to take her to school and pick her up daily, and the flower shop owner lets him have her around

only interacts with his mom when he can't have inhye in his care and has to bring her back

completed his military service directly out of high school and came back about september 2021

started at the flower shop he works at immediately and also finding bars to sing at sometimes

chose to major in computer engineering mostly because he is intelligent enough for it, but also it will provide good money for him and inhye

not sure what he wants to do long term

inho loves singing significantly more than working with computers or at the flower shop, but isn't sure how to achieve that dream

most of his connection to idols is through some friends and his sister

ex(s) - i imagine inho probably had a partner possibly during his military time (february 2020 - september 2021) that he only saw during that time, and probably one longer term partner while in high school (march 2016-february 2020) and those are both fairly open for plotting

fwbs/hook ups - inho is very flirty and with spending his weekend nights in bars and his week days being flirty at the flower shop, he is known to take some people to his bed. recently went through a Tough Time and had a month or two long period where he really went ham

friends - he keeps a large circle of friends around him and enjoys company. so people he's known since high school, met at uni, met at his work. very open!

fellow students - just classmates, whether they share a major or not

a colleague - i imagine only one or two other people work at the shop with him

honestly would love to put him in a band, so if anyone wants a lead singer, hit him up

Josiah Trelawny x Reader (Gender Neutral/Nonbinary)

Warnings: fluff, hints of past violence from that mission

You felt a little bit worried. Only a little. Or that is what you kept telling yourself. It must have been obvious because Miss Grimshaw finally came over with that stern look on her face that she usually gives one of her girls.

“Standing around diddle-daddling is not going to make those fools come back faster. I know you are worried about them but do not neglect your chores,” She says.

You nod your head and Miss Grimshaw gives you a reassuring smile before walking off. You huff at the worrying thoughts that come back as you settle on helping Mr. Pearson out (and making sure Sadie does not murder him). Your mind stays focused on the man you are worrying about. Arthur and Charles should have been back with him now and every moment longer the more your nerves feel like they are on fire.

The said man is Josiah Trelawny- A rather mischievous yet elegant man (in your opinion). He has been nothing but kind to you so of course, you are worrying for him like crazy. Your relationship is a bit of an odd one as you are close but not that close to the man who always leaves. You enjoy each other’s company and you always loved to hear about his own adventures away from the gang.

He probably enjoyed the pure kindness radiating off of you as you soaked up his every word and not once gave him shit for leaving as the others do. Or that is what you at least like to imagine he thinks. You have not spoken about how he feels towards you but since he always makes sure to visit with a souvenir you assumed he at least has a good opinion about you.

As you chop up some vegetables and ignore Mr. Pearson and Sadie slowly getting louder, you take notice of Abigail standing up rather fast beside the fire camp and you realize why. Charles has brought back a badly beaten up Josiah. Your heart feels like it stops upon seeing blood and you nearly cut off your finger as you hastily put the knife down.

You feel for your gun as you rush over to them. Charles leans the battered man by a tree near the horses per his request. He smiles upon seeing your worried expression and lazily lifts his hand.

“It does not feel as bad as it looks. I promise,” Josiah says with a chuckle, but he ends up coughing and the pained emotion crosses his face.

What a terrible liar despite being one of the best. You and Charles quickly gather supplies to clean him up as he explains what has happened that led up to this. Your eyes widen and your blood feels like it boils at the thought of stupid bounty hunters roughing up the gentle man.

“Thank you, Charles. Next time you see Arthur tell him I am grateful that you both saved Josiah’s life,” You say sincerely prompting the man to nod his head and pat your back as you take the supplies from him.

You hurry back to Josiah who sounds like he is wheezing, and you huff at him. You quickly dunk the rag you got into the small bucket of water and begin to gently wipe away at the blood and dirt on his face. He says nothing as he examines your worried face and your eyes fall upon seeing the bruises that were hiding underneath the dirt.

“Nothing but only time can heal I’m afraid. I said before it is not too bad,” Josiah states trying to cheer you up.

It does not work as you reach for a new rag and douse it a bit with alcohol. He flinches when the stinging arises from you touching him with it before he actually laughs. It leaves you dumbfounded.

“Nothing is funny about this. I was genuinely worried about you!” You mumble as you keep a gentle touch while wiping at the open wounds.

You will not be able to wrap them so you deem them done, all he needs to do is make sure they stay clean. You stay sitting beside Josiah and he nods his head acknowledging your words.

“I meant no offense when I laughed. I just realized you really are the only person who would miss me if I left for good… I- Thank you (Name), for always welcoming me back with open arms and genuine kindness. You have no idea what it means for a foolish man like me,” He mumbles as he reaches for your hand.

Sleep is calling for him and you smile as you squeeze his hand. You whisper, “Of course, Josiah. I would miss you like crazy. Where else would I get my favorite magician stories?”

He laughs at that and lets his eyes close. “Yes. I best get some rest so I can bring you some more glorious tales fit for royalty to hear,” Josiah mumbles.

He feels safe with someone as kind and loving as you. Out of everyone here you are the one who would hold no doubts about him. Unlike Arthur and Charles who were out to find him in case he would sell out the gang but he would never even think of it- The lot of you he finds entertaining but you and your genuine nature hold a special place in his heart.

Over 20 major cities across the U.S. have either cut or shifted police budget funds since the death of George Floyd in May 2020. As a result, 2020 likely saw the largest homicide increase in American history, with high crime rates continuing into 2021.

The following are crime spikes in cities that defunded their police.

New York: During the summer of 2020, New York cut $1 billion from its police funds. In June 2020, the city experienced a 130 percent increase in shootings in one month. Killings in August 2021 were up 50 percent.

Chicago: Chicago Mayor Lori Lightfoot claimed to be opposed to defunding the police while quietly cutting 400 police officers positions during 2020. Chicago saw 87 shootings over the 2020 4th of July weekend. The same year, carjackings were up 135 percent.

Los Angeles: Los Angeles cut $150 million from its LAPD budget last July. As of late November 2020, LA recorded 300 homicides. Killings were reportedly up 25 percent since 2019, and shootings were up more than 32 percent. Shootings in South LA rose 742 percent in the first two weeks of January.

Milwaukee: After cutting 60 police positions in 2020, Milwaukee proposed a budget to cut 120 police positions in 2021, cutting a total of $430,000 from the overall budget. Milwaukee experienced a 95 percent increase of local murders in 2020.

Louisville: Rather than directly defunding its police, Louisville voted to use portions of its funds for "recruiting a more diverse force" and "behavioral health professionals" to assist officers. They also boasted of sending millions to "disadvantaged and disinvested" communities. The city saw a 78 percent increase in 2020 homicides.

Seattle: Seattle reduced its police budget by 20 percent and saw a 74 percent homicide increase in 2020.

Minneapolis: Minneapolis cut $8 million from its police budget and saw a 72 percent increase in local murders during the 2020 year.

New Orleans: In 2020, despite seeing a 62 percent increase in 2020 homicides, New Orleans proposed a $16 million budget cut for 2021. It has now experienced an 11 percent increase from 2020 and 79% increase compared to 2019.

Atlanta: In 2020, Atlanta reallocated 50 percent of the corrections budget to social services and community enhancement initiatives and saw a 58 percent increase in 2020 homicides.

Portland: In 2020, Portland cut $15 million and disbanded a gun violence reduction unit, after which Portland saw an 83 percent increase in homicides in 2020. Source

Baltimore: Baltimore cut $22 million from its police budget in 2020 and has experienced a 17 percent increase in homicides compared to the same time last year. Thirty-seven businesses have requested a crackdown on low-level crimes. Baltimore surpassed 300 killings for the seventh consecutive year.

Oakland: Oakland cut its police budget by $14.6 million in 2020. Homicides were up 500 percent, and shootings were up 126 percent in the first two weeks of January 2021.

Washington DC: Washington DC cut its police budget by $15 million, ending 2020 with a 19 percent increase in violent crime compared to 2019. In November, 2021 DC recorded its 200th homicide, a benchmark not reached since 2003.

Philadelphia: Philadelphia cut police funding by $33 million in 2021. Since Jan 2020, 500 people were killed, and more than 2,240 were shot, 40 percent more than the police have ever recorded. In 2021, Philadelphia saw killings at a higher rate than in 2020. By September, killings were up 18% from the same time last year. In November 2021, Philadelphia reached 497 killings,13 percent higher than this time last year.

Hartford: After Hartford cut $1 million from its $4 million budget, it has experienced 20 murders through the first six months of 2021, The city experienced almost as many homicides in half a year as in each of the past three years.

Salt Lake City: Salt Lake City reduced its police budget by $5.3 million in 2020. By December, 2020 violent crime and property crime had increased more than 20 percent.

Austin: Austin cut its police budget by a third in 2020. By December 2020, murder was up 54 percent over the previous year, and aggravated assault was up 13 percent.

Dallas: Dallas cut $7 million from the $24 million overtime budget for police and by November 2020 surpassed 2019’s homicide rate, the highest on record since 1991. The city even experienced seven murders over a period of 24 hours.

Denver: The mayor of Denver claimed to be against defunding the police. However, the city's policies require healthcare workers to respond to domestic mental health calls instead of police. In 2020, the city recorded the highest number of homicides since 1981, a 51 percent increase.

San Francisco: San Francisco's mayor revealed her plan to redirect $120 million into "health workers and workforce training.” San Francisco saw a double increase in shootings in the first half of 2021 compared to the past two years and a rise in aggravated assault.

In December, San Francisco Mayor, London Breed, launched an emergency police intervention in the downtown Tenderloin neighborhood. The mayor said, “it comes to an end when we take the steps to be more aggressive with law enforcement. More aggressive with the changes in our policies and less tolerant of all the bullshit that has destroyed our city.”

San Diego: After San Diego cut $4.3 million from its police overtime funds, the city saw a “disturbing” increase in violent crime with a 129 percent increase in gang-related shootings since Jan 1.

Unpacking the Cause of the Crime Spike

Lack of policing

Replacing police with unarmed civilians such as social workers.

Reducing or reallocating funds affects police activity. The Law Enforcement legal Defense Fund found that police activity such as arrests, stops, and searches declined by 48 percent since last June. In New York, for example, there were 40,000 fewer arrests made by July 2020. Consequently, during June of that year, murder was up 30 percent; burglaries were up 118 percent.; thefts were up 51 percent.

Police voluntarily leaving the force. In 2020, the NYPD saw a 75 percent increase in quitting or retirement. After George Floyd’s death in May 2020, close to 200 officers had left the Minneapolis police force by May 2021.

Lowered morale and hesitancy to police

The continuous narrative is that it is racist to enforce laws, particularly lower-level offenses.

Hostile rhetoric against police.

A lack of trust between police and prosecutors. Police go through the process of arresting criminals for them to be released and shortly re-offend.

Change in societal standards

The mass media continually downplayed and politicized the violence that took place during the summer of 2021. This sent a message of tolerance for violence, justification of vandalism, and explicit messages that law and order were not a societal priority.

Defunding the police had a body count. And it wasn't the elits who suffered.

Murder, 2nd Degree

As of 2022, a 29 year-old convicted murderer out of Grand Traverse County is currently 11 years into his sentence. In that time, Robert Schwander has appealed his sentence 4 times.

In 2011, investigators say a 17-year-old Schwander stabbed Carly Lewis, a Traverse City teenager, multiple times and buried her body in a sand pile. Schwander was originally sentenced to serve 40 to 70 years in prison. But in 2020 he was resentenced to serve 33 to 50 years.

In September 2022, Schwander's appeal and request for a fifth sentencing hearing began in the Court of Appeals in Grand Rapids. No one is arguing that Schwander isn't responsible for the Lewis' death.

Instead, Schwander's lawyer Mitch Foster argued the three previous judges didn't adequately explain why they went above the sentencing guidelines for the crime. "The judges weren't sentencing appropriately and using the proper procedures and following the law regarding departures and extended departures," Foster said.

But that argument didn't appear to get much traction with the three judge panel, who claimed that prior judges did adequately explain the sentencing guidelines.

Schwander's lawyer then appeared to legally pivot, stressing that there were factors that previous judges didn't take into consideration.

Some factors at the time of the crime...

"If Jenson (middle and common name for Schwander) wasn't kicked out of his own home, he wouldn't have been in that Quonset hut," Foster said. "And things could have been totally different." Schwander’s father was a deputy Sheriff at the time of the incidents and has not supported his son.

And other factors at the time of previous sentencings...

"He didn't say he was sorry at that point, but he was really at a loss of words," Foster said.

Throughout much of the hearing, Prosecuting Attorney Noelle Moeggenberg didn't have to say much.

But when given the opportunity, Moeggenberg laid out a case she's dealt with for 11 years.

"The judge talked about the suffering [of] the victim after the assault, a factor that had already been upheld by this court, the defendant's absolute lack of remorse, and frankly, this is something that has not changed," Moeggenberg said.

20 minutes in and the defense appeared to have read the room, only to be rebutted by the judges who laid out the next step.

"It sounds like you're leaning heavily toward affirming the sentence, all three of you" Foster said to the judges.

"You don't know what we're thinking and what we've talked about," a Judge responded. "We just ask questions that we think need to be asked to probe the issues. So anyway, with that, anything further we will submit case item number two and get an opinion out to you as soon as we can."

Schwander's lawyer did make a request, not only for a resentencing that would mean less time behind bars for Schwander, but also that the resentencing fall into the jurisdiction of the Appeals Court.

If the Appeals Panel does not order a resentencing, Moeggenberg believes this may be the last legal challenge Schwander can raise, barring a change in law or precedent.

It was the last day of year 10 just before the summer holidays. Exams are done and now you are walking home with your earphones in. Just then halfway through your walk you see the 7 group of schoolboys just a couple of meters ahead of you, they were also going home. You knew them of course; ‘the most handsome boys of the school’ (according to the girls). Most of them getting average grades, but were amazing at sports, making all the girls drool when they walk by, you rolled your eyes at the thought.

You then focused your eyes on the youngest of the group, the school’s heartthrob. Yes, you thought he was handsome, but you always thought that he was the overconfident and boring heartthrob that was always described in the fiction books. You sighed before turning left walking in another direction to your house, separating you and the group.

Though you had talked to Taehyung and Jin who were in one of your classes and you teacher had paired the three of you up often for the group activities . You could not help but notice the stares pointing lasers at the back of head, that the youngest gave you.

You had seen them many times before, most of the time they looked annoyed but other rare ones were ones had fondness. You did not understand why he was giving you those looks, but it bugged you a lot because all the girls in the school hated you for it. Since you were the only one who got his attention, no matter how hard they tried.

Without realising you had reached the front door of your house and had to grab your keys before opening it up and headed upstairs to take a shower. You wish you could stop this and the next year and everything could be normal.

Wednesday September 4th, 2020

‘This is it the final year’ you thought as you looked at the entrance of the school before heading inside and walked to your locker, to your left you could see the 7 popular boys being crowded by girls. But you rolled your eyes at the sight walking in the opposite direction, you had just grabbed your stuff and was about to put into your bag, before someone shoved your back knocking the books out of your hand.

‘Watch it, loony girl.’ You looked up at the boys, you could hear sniggering.

‘Hey, it not your place to say that you lost at beer pong to us. You absolute dingbat.’ Jin said

‘But why would you care about her.’ The same boy replied.

‘Because at least we are nice that why we get the girls unlike you, Jacob. Leave now everyone, form time is about to start.’ Jimin said while crossing his arms over his chest.

At this moment you did not know what to think as everyone; left everyone casting nasty looks at you whilst endearing look to the two boys. Once everyone left you began to pick up your stuff off the ground. Jimin and Jin, turned around before helping you.

‘You don’t need to help its fine.’ you said ‘Its fine we wa-‘ Jin was saying before he paused while looking at a drawing that was present in your sketchbook. ‘-nt to help.’ He finish before making eye contact with Jimin who also widened his eyes at the picture. You caught on quickly and grabbed the book before quickly putting in your bag, before quickly walking away. The boys were speechless.

‘Hey! y/n wait up.’ They chased after you after finally recollecting our thoughts you stopped and turned back to them ‘Go on say it, tell me that I am weird like everyone says I am, drawing wolves and only wolves.’

‘What? No, we didn‘t want to say that we are sorry for looking it was not our right to look at your private things. But really, we think its amazing.’ Jimin said whilst looking at Jin before their eyes met and they both looked apologetically at you, they both reminded you of kicked puppies.

‘No its fine, everyone seem to think that when they look at my book. I just thought of the worst since I do not usually talk to you or the boys.’

‘Hey why don’t we walk you to class we can vouch for you to say why you were late, and in return you can be our friends.’ Jin said smiling gently.

I smiled before nodding.

2 days later… Friday September 6th, 2020

You were close friends with Jimin and Jin and had soon exchanged numbers with the each of them and are now constantly seen laughing at Jin’s dad jokes and constantly being showered with affection by Jimin. Everyone was little to say that they were confused at the sight. But that did not stop the laser eyes you felt at the back of your head; one day you are going to tell Jimin and Jin to make Jungkook stop staring at you.

You were in your usual spot in the corner of the courtyard, till you heard footsteps. Jin was heading towards you.

‘Hey y/n.’

‘Hi Jin. What’s up?’ he sat down next to you with his hands on the table

‘You didn’t respond to my text messages, so I tried to find you.’ You glanced at your lock-screen seeing 15 messages from Jin and Jimin.

‘Oh sorry, for not responding I was catching up on my thoughts about something.’

‘Well me and Jimin thought it was the right time that you meet the rest of our group since they were so curious about who was keeping our attention away from the group and when we mentioned you most of them wanted to meet you.’ Jin explained.

Seeing my blank expression, he further asked

‘So will you be free?’ he fidgeted his fingers nervously against the table.

‘Really? They want to meet me?’ you asked back surprised.

‘Yeah, they do. So?’ he asked again.

‘Yeah, I think I will be free but not today, I have a extra curricular club, tomorrow on Saturday for Lunch?’ you replied.

‘Yeah, I think we can do that, but don’t worry you’ll love my cooking.’ Jin smirked.

‘I bet I will.’ you smiled back

Saturday 7th September 2020

Jin had texted you the address and you realised it was a 10-minute walk from my house. Once you reached there, you saw a large 2-storey house that was large enough to house a lot of people. It had a double garage to the left. You walked towards the front door you could here loud talking so you knocked on the door announcing my presence to the residents.

Someone eventually opened the door it was Taehyung, he smiled at you;

‘Come on inside y/n. Jin and Suga are about to finish Lunch, it will be done in another 10 minutes. You nodded before walking inside the house. Taking off my shoes near the entrance and you looked around, they could see the landing for the top floor from the entrance gaurd by a terrace looking in the main entrance hall below, there was large door to the right and the right 2 doors a large staircase was in front of the first leading upstairs.

A large oak door was at the back of the hall but was closed but you could hear voice coming from there. Taehyung sensed that you was looking around before he smiled and said ‘The door to the left is the TV room and to the right the closest door is Namjoon’s study. The other doors in the corner leads to the downstairs bathroom and garage. Upstairs are the bathrooms and the bedrooms’ you smiled and nodded.

Taehyung led you further inside the house behind the oak door, then you saw a large open floor plan of the rest of the house. To your right you could see the kitchen, and in the back corner on the right side, held the large dining room with an island. You could see Jin and who you presumed was Suga from, Taehyung’s description. Both of which were cooking food. In the far-right corner was a large dining room, with a fireplace that looked out to the large garden.

To the left was a sitting area, and in the far-left corner you saw a large gaming area/TV area. You saw Jimin and another male who was loud and had bright smile of sunshine. You could see them laughing loudly at Jimin shouting at the game in the TV. Chuckled at them before a voice cut out my thoughts.

‘Y/n you made it!’ Jin said. you turned back to the kitchen finding Jin looking at you while he was preparing the final touches to some of the food. ‘I chuckled of course I did. I could not miss your cooking.’ you said smiling. He smiled back before looking at the two boys gaming.

‘Jimin and Hoseok! Y/n is here, lay out the table, we have finished making the food.’ Suga said.

‘Hi y/n!’ they both said before they went to grab some of the plates on the kitchen island before walking back to the dining table Jimin hugged you quickly and you hugged back giggling. ‘Taehyung, get Jungkook and Namjoon, and tell them the food is ready.’ Jin said.

Taehyung smiled at you before leaving to go to the study and calling Namjoon before upstairs to get Jungkook. I smiled before asking ‘Do you need some help?’ you asked Jin. ‘Nope, their nothing left to help with, just sit down while we wait for the rest.’ Jin said before smiling back at you.

You nodded before going to sit at one of the middle seats. Jimin and Hoseok and sat beside me. ‘Hi y/n, I am Hoseok the sunshine of the group.’ you smiled and shook his open hand.

‘I am Yoongi also known as Suga.’ The short man said you smiled and nodded at him. He nodded back before he took a seat across from Hoseok, Jin sat on Hoseok other side. We heard footsteps from the oak doors.

I saw a taller blonde man who you thought was Namjoon, Taehyung and lastly Jungkook entered they all sat down Taehyung on front of you whilst Namjoon on the end next to him and Jungkook next to him, in front of Jimin. ‘Hi, I am Namjoon the leader of this group hope you feel welcome, you thanked him. And everyone turned to Jungkook. ‘Hi, I am Jungkook, the youngest of the group.’ he said whilst staring deeply into my eyes. You widened and looked away before nodding.

‘So shall we eat?’ Jin said trying to diffuse the tension. We nodded and began eating.

Since then, you began talking to all the boys except Jungkook, he still hates you for some reason. But according to the boys he does not hate you he is just shy. Shy? That does not make any sense at all if he was shy, why is he on the basketball team. Just then you collided into someone, snapping you out of your thoughts then you saw the mean girl Kira staring at you. Oh dear…

‘Sorry’ you mumbled.

‘Sorry? You should be 1st you take away my crush’s attention from me and now you bump into me what is your problem y/n!’ she shouted at me, and you flinched. Everyone surrounding us was looking at you before whispering and giggling ‘She got the attention of him she must have done something.’-‘She must have been slutty around him.’

‘Well, aren’t you going to say something?’ Kira scoffed.

‘Well there is nothing to say.’ you mumbled looking down at your feet.

‘What did you say?’ Kira said while advancing towards, you froze, then you felt a large sting. She slapped you on the cheek her nails left a sharp scratch near your right eye. She was about to hit you again and you turned your head to the side, by instinct. Then a loud BANG was heard.

‘Didn’t I tell you to leave her alone.’ you slowly opened your eyes. And saw Jungkook standing they’re in front of you, Kira on the other hand was up against the wall in pain. Her goons could only look between her and Jungkook in shock.

‘But-’ Kira said.

‘I suggest, Kira, you leave her alon- no listen,’ he saw Kira trying to defend herself again, ‘you were the one who started the fight she only bumped into you accidently, and if you dare to insult her again you will get the worst of me. Just because she grabbed my attention, does not mean you go and start fights and rumours about her.

And all of you gullible and naïve people,’ he said while looking around at the crowd

‘I suggest you don’t believe a word that this girl says she just only wants attention she’s the idiot around here, not her…not y/n.’

He walked over to you and asked,

‘Are you okay?’ you nodded.

Just then the principal walked in and said ‘Kira, you are to meet me in the principal’s office now I am going to meet with your parents and tell them what you have done this ongoing bullying is not permitted in the school I saw what you did this time, and you will not get away with it so easily.’ Kira looked defeated but she walked away following the principal.

‘Now scram.’ Jungkook said and everyone left.

‘Hey, are you all right, y/n.’ You saw Hoseok and the others. You nodded and turned to Jungkook before smiling. ‘Thank you.’ You said.

‘Always.’ He smiled back.

CJ court watch - the civil forfeiture case

SCt decided Culley v. Marshall, 601 U. S. __ (2024) today, 9may24. There were three dissents. While the case is unsatisfying, it's mostly because the facts were bad.

Halima Culley's car was seized for drugs on February 17, 2019 while her son was driving. Lena Sutton was seized for drugs on February 21, 2019 while her friend was driving.

The State of Alabama filed a forfeiture complaint against Culley’s car on February 27, 2019, just 10 days after the seizure of the car. But Culley waited six months before answering that complaint. And she waited another year—until September 21, 2020—before raising an innocent owner defense in a motion for summary judgment. Soon thereafter, on October 30, 2020, an Alabama state court granted Culley’s motion and ordered the return of her car. Sutton similarly moved slowly in her forfeiture proceeding. Alabama brought a forfeiture case against Sutton’s car on March 6, 2019, just 13 days after the seizure of the car. Sutton initially failed to appear in the case, causing the state court to enter a default judgment for Alabama. *** On April 10, 2020, three weeks before the scheduled trial date, Sutton finally moved for summary judgment on the ground that she was an innocent owner. Soon thereafter, on May 28, 2020, the state court granted her motion, and she recovered her car.***

In civil forfeiture cases, the Due Process Clause requires a timely forfeiture hearing, but does not require a separate preliminary hearing.

Culley & Sutton sued in federal courts arguing that Alabama should have provided a preliminary hearing before holding onto their cars.

SCt pointed out that the Constitution had never required a preliminary hearing before seizure of personal property. Moreover, the Constitution doesn't require a preliminary hearing before you are seized. I think if Culley & Sutton had immediately requested a hearing, they would have had a better case.

💔💔💔💔 SHE WAS A SUPERHERO 💔💔💔💔 SHE WAS RAN OVER AND MURDERED BY A MEMBER OF THE MEAT INDUSTRY..

Russell, a woman from Hamilton, Ontario, began campaigning for animal rights when she was 24 years old, with her first protest against seal culling taking place outside a government building in Winnipeg.

In 1985, she read Animal Liberation: A New Ethics for Our Treatment of Animals and became a vegan. Russell was also an advocate for Black Lives Matter and women's rights.

Filmed in 2012 while protesting against Marineland, Russell said, "People say we’re breaking the law by storming. How do you think women got the right? How do you think slavery was abolished? People stood up and broke the laws—because they're stupid laws."

Russell was a member of Toronto Pig Save, a branch of the animal rights organization Animal Save Movement, which frequently organised demonstrations outside Canada's oldest pig slaughterhouse, Fearman's Pork Inc. in Burlington, a subsidiary of Sofina Foods Inc., owned by Michael Latifi.

These demonstrations involved activists standing in front of the entrance to the premises, requesting a truck driver transporting pigs to the slaughterhouse to wait outside the entrance for two minutes and filming themselves giving water to the slaughter-bound pigs through holes in the trailer.

On June 18, 2020, the Legislative Assembly of Ontario granted royal assent to a bill known as the Security from Trespass and Protecting Food Safety Act.

A section of the bill, which would come into effect in September of the same year, would illegalize interference with animal transport without the consent of the transport truck drivers..

On the morning of June 19, 2020, Russell and six other activists from Toronto Pig Save held a pig-watering demonstration outside Fearman's Pork slaughterhouse. The entrance of the premises is located southeast of the intersection of South Service Road and Harvester Road in Burlington.

One truck carrying pigs approached the premises at 10:17 a.m., stopping in the inner lane of the roadway on Harvester Road, southwest of the intersection, just before the right turn onto the premises. At 10:19, four of the activists walked from where they were standing in front of the entrance to where the truck had stopped and began watering the pigs in the trailer. At this point, the truck driver called 911 and was advised by the operator to stay in the truck and not move.

At 10:21, two of the other activists walked to the trailer while Russell walked in the other direction and stepped onto the nearest sidewalk to allow a supply truck onto the premises. The activists finished watering the pigs less than a minute later, at which point the truck began to make the right turn into the driveway. Russell stepped back into the driveway and stood in the truck's path, making a peace sign with her hand to the driver.

The truck proceeded to drive through the entrance at a speed of about 20.5 km/h (12.7 mph), running over Russell and killing her instantly, and dragging her body several yards as a security guard gestured for the driver to stop.

After an investigation, the driver was charged with the Highway Traffic Act offence of careless driving causing death, with authorities stating there was no indication of intent or crime in his action.

In March 2023, he pleaded guilty to the charge and was sentenced to 12 months' probation—the conditions of which restricted his permission to operate a vehicle—and ordered to pay a CA$2000 fine. 🤬😤😡💔

Based on the Preliminary Info About the Trump Trial Jurors, the Rigged Narrative Will Resonate Quickly

If the jury selection portion is any indication, we’re in for a helluva a show in the hush money trial Trump is facing concerning payments to adult entertainment star Stormy Daniels…and I don’t mean that in a good way. It’s mixed. While this is the weakest case facing the former president concerning the legal circus he must navigate for the next couple of years; the courts could screw him here.

Spencer wrote yesterday that two jurors were dismissed by Judge Juan Merchan, one due to concerns about impartiality while the other was to be pressed about whether he answered the questionnaire truthfully. He never showed up to court per the judge’s request and was later summarily excused:

A female juror, "Juror #2," who works as an oncology nurse and had biographical details — including her occupation and other information from her responses to the juror questionnaire and its 42 multi-part questions — made public told the judge that she had "friends, colleagues, and family push things to my phone questioning my identity as a juror." "After sleeping on it overnight," Juror #2 told the court she "has concerns about her ability to be fair and impartial." […] Juror #4, a man who runs an IT business and said while answering the questionnaire that he finds Trump "fascinating," was asked to see Judge Merchan at 9:15 a.m. ET on Thursday after prosecutors said they have reason to believe he may not have answered the selection questions accurately. The D.A.'s office reportedly found records matching the juror's name that called the veracity of his statements into question, but Juror #4 did not show up to see the judge as requested.

Yet, didn’t we know an iceberg was going to hit here? One juror, who alleged to have never participated in political rallies or activism in 2020, was seen posting an Election Night video celebrating Donald Trump's defeat. Judge Merchan felt the woman could be impartial after looking into her eyes, despite the objections by Trump’s lawyers.

Jesse Waters had an extended commentary about the jury selection process, noting that one woman who was dismissed from jury duty rightly said that she felt she could be impartial despite her opinions about the man on trial. She added that anyone would have a position unless they lived in a cardboard box. Waters agreed, adding that this is why we don’t or shouldn’t have political trials in this country.

Anti-Trump activists tried to sneak onto the jury, which Trump’s lawyers discovered by doing a simple Google search. And yet, the liberal media fears conservatives will sneak onto the jury. If this is the game they will play, I hope one gets seated and wrecks the whole show for the prosecution.

The Ombudsman ruled that sexual harassment was not fully proven, given the opposing and conflicting claims of the two parties.

The Ombudsman, in a special report, “Harassment and sexual abuse at work,” published in 2023, found that there are difficulties in gathering evidence to establish a complaint of harassment or sexual harassment.

In the Greek public sector, it said it was troubling that complaining civil servants are not empowered to participate actively in investigating their cases.

Following the successful launch of the Together TakeMeHome (TTMH) project, CDC has awarded additional funding to Emory University to distribute an additional 150,000 HIV self-tests during the month of September for a total of up to 350,000 tests in the first year of the program. Together Take Me Home Project

Together Take Me Home (TTMH) is a national direct-to-consumer program that offers free HIV-self tests and is shipping tests nationwide. Tests are available to anyone 17 years or older in the United States who enroll through the program’s website, regardless of health insurance or immigration status. The HIV self-tests are FDA-approved OraQuick devices that use mouth swabs and take only 20-minutes to get a result.

Visitors to the website can find information and resources on using the self-test, what to do based on the self-test result, and how to access other services related to HIV prevention and care, and overall sexual health. Trained staff will be available to provide referrals to HIV prevention and care services, including pre-exposure prophylaxis (PrEP).

Under these regulations, Virtual Asset Service Providers (VASPs) had to furnish identifying information about themselves and their customers.
