AU where Leo is trapped in the Prison Dimension for months instead of minutes and the only way he gets by with his sanity intact is through recording himself talking to his wrist comm.

When they finally manage to get Leo back and make him rest up to heal, Donnie can’t help but listen to the recordings left behind.

He’s not sure what exactly he’s expecting, only that his subconscious is screaming at him that it has to be heartbreaking, that it has to be torturous.

Instead, what Donnie is subject to is a full thousand hours’ worth of Jupiter Jim and Lou Jitsu crossover fanfiction. More than one part in the series. Spanning well over a million words.

(The worst part is that it’s actually good.)

I love the way you draw Big Sis Moon! She looks so regal!

Thank you! Actually this is a fun time to mention how much I wanted Suns and Moon to be the opposite types of regal in their designs.

Suns is sharp top heavy and imposing. Their antenna are supposed to semi resemble a crown along with their fancy neck fluff. Their colors against red backgrounds are eye catching and bold. They're more so supposed to demand respect than give any comfort which fits what their colony is all about. They are "in charge" after all.

Moon is the opposite! Her design is more bottom heavy with a streamline elegant figure, fewer edges, nit many details and a long robe that constantly sways around her. It makes her look big, but gentle. She's comforting and welcoming with a pleasant and easy on the eye with her color scheme focusing on gentle blues and purples. Her colony finds her comforting, she's not authority she's the ever present Looks to the Moon who's taken care of them for countless generations.

They're opposites in many ways. Which makes it easy to see why Pebbles went after Suns as company. Someone different in literally every meaningful way. Freedom from the sister he was attached to.

Which leads to another fun detail. Part of what makes Moon look so elegant and regal is her robe.

So when you remove it, it's like ridding her of her godhood in a way. That part of her dies with her collapse and is only barely restored in a very tattered and shadow of it's former self way with her post-Rivulet design.

So anyway. Ahem.

I just wanted to gush about Moon as always. And I wanted to tell you about my thought process about her design as it looks deceptively simple, but I've put a lot of thought into it.

Something something Nico appearing in the middle of a fight - in a suit, of all things: black Italian slim-fit, wine red tie and velvet gloves, a laurel wreath, sleeve garters, skull cufflinks and dress shoes - to help fight off the monsters.

And when the other stares, Nico just rolls his eyes, grumbling, “I was in the middle of a business meeting.”

Nothing it’s just me suddenly very interested in the image of Nico di Angelo taking off his suit jacket and loosening his tie, all the while scowling and keeping his sword pointed at the vicious monster. “Ugh, I hate fighting in this thing.”

My 3 Tips of Advice For You <3

Be extremely careful with how much time you spend online. Like less than 1-3 hours a day. I became super addicted in Middle school and it worries me how much time I've spent online since then. Plus, as you get older, you are more likely to stay up late. It will be easier to use your tech at this time, so try not to get too into that habit! Read, watch t.v, build legos, count pennies, text friends, try to diversify :)

Be careful who you talk with online :) I know Stranger Danger is chiseled into most peoples heads, but if someone is older than you, is giving you the creeps, guilt tripping you into anything(drawing, roleplay, etc.), and/or trying to keep you on the app as long as possible. Ghost them or strait up block <3. You may feel guilty, but know you are never in the wrong. I had to go to the police one time regarding this. Talk with people you trust about the situation. It helps.

AND MOST IMPORTANTLY! If you feel comfortable and safe with your parents or legal guardians, talk with them about your day! :))) I'm sure I don't have to tell you why that is so special <3

Bonus: I hope you enjoy school! :) It do be kinda wild sometimes, but it's fun to learn!

I think some part of me will always be that kid walking out of a huge movie theater into a grey overcast afternoon not realizing her world was about to be permanently changed but feeling changed already herself by the animated Disney film she'd just seen that she would spend a year acting like she was too cool to be affected by, even though she'd never cried at a movie before that and and the cries from the speakers were still ringing in her ears on that cold, overcast afternoon, right before her world changed

The Uber driver who took us home from the vet today ended up hearing all about Billi's situation because I couldn't stop crying and he asked what was wrong

(Dude you picked us up from the vet and we have an empty carrier take a wild guess)

And he told us he used to have a Labrador retriever, who was a very good and loyal dog, and when his dog died, he couldn't eat or sleep for three days due to the grief. Because of how painful it was, he'll never have a pet again

And he's not the first person I've met who feels that way. I have a close friend who, after losing two cats and a rabbit, decided she just didn't want pets anymore

And I get it, sort of. Losing Billi is the most painful thing I've been through in a long long time. But it's worth it for every moment of love and joy she brought us. It's worth it to know that we gave the best home we could to a cat who was difficult and otherwise unwanted.

I've always had a cat. My parents adopted their first cat when mom was pregnant with me. Dad named her after Scat Cat from the Aristocats. He probably didn't think that through. She was a grumpy girl but had her sweet moments. She lived to be 18. She was family. I got my first cat who was really mine, and not just the family cat, when I was around 11. Her name was Pooky, another name I had no choice in. Then there was Pepper and Lulu and Cookie and then Lulu had kittens and we kept Mackenzie then Maggie and Billi then finally our current cats; Pekoe, Leon and Tim

And each loss was devastating in its own way, but I cannot imagine my life without all these wonderful cats having been part of it. My mom's kitchen feels so empty now that Billi isn't there. A whole house without cats? I don't know how I could live in it

Our person-to-cat ratio is currently 4-3 and it feels wrong. There should be at least one cat per person. But I will wait and grieve and eventually the universe will send another cat my way. It always does.

Oh what I wouldn’t give to see Nico as a distinguished political figure

I love the idea of Prince of the Underworld/Ghost king Nico isn’t because the title sounds cool or that whatever, but because that means Nico has power. The authority. The influence and rights he possess.

That why it drills a hole in my heart when there’s not enough fanfic that depicts this aspect of him being an important character, a force to be reckoned with, as he is. Sure, the fairy tale of a royal’s love is enticing and romantic, but I personally enjoy the idea of Nico being the actual functioning prestigious royal member the most - whether in an AU or in canon.

Nico watching the souls’ trials in the Judgement Pavilion. Him sitting along William Shakespear at the long tables, ignoring Minos’ glares while voicing his own judgements with all the attendees’ eyes on him.

The guards bow to him in Hades’s palace. The ghost servants straighten their backs, bow low and make way for him.

There’re rules. But if the young Lord needs something, it would be done. Just imagine Nico giving commands to his father’s subordinates like a rightful heir akdhadbak——

And that’s exactly why the only one who can stops him from crossing the line is Hades, and occasionally Persephone. The others don’t dare to utter a word, not because they fear him - but because of his status, his power.

Nico making his way to the large hall - all expensive suit and skull cufflinks - head held high and a red laurel wreath framing his mop of black hair like a crown, something he has rightfully earned that indicates his status as the Ambassador of Hades.

Business talks. Meetings and work-togethers across pantheons.

Nico meeting with some god and talking to them, a cup of tea in the middle of a lovely forest or a fancy dinner in some five star restaurant, all business and important discussions.

Nico standing off to the side of his father’s throne room, and Hades would give him full attention whenever he raises a hand to chime in.

A vengeful ghost cowering in fear merely upon his presence. Him banishing it with a flick of a wrist and a simple command, “Return to where you belong.”

Underworld creatures back away in fear of hurting or angering him.

And many more, if only I knew more about what a royal member is expected to do.
