we have a lot of little libraries in my area so it's nice to have a little walk around and drop some books off and maybe find a new favourite. i found Marie Kondo's Life Changing Magic of Tidying Up in one of these librabies and it really shifted my perspective of ownership.

i went to the gym for the first time in like a month and i'm realising how bad my lung capacity has gotten. I wasn't ready to come back from my holiday time but work is moving slowly and I plan on taking everything one step at a time.

The day that all the firework go off and scare my dog silly 🙃 We were sitting on my fire escape earlier and notices that this old doormat was starting to get grown over! I'm going to sprinkle some chia seeds on it and see if I can make myself a little chia rug 💕

told you that I would show you my new diary and book 😋 I'm going to be using the diary for a daily language vocab note and for all of my physical appointments and notes that I have to make.

I've not really had the time to read over the past few days because the spouse is sick but I'm really looking forward to reading 'All This Could Be Different' - another queer book for the stack! I'll be back on the ASoIaF hype soon enough lol

this week has been full of medical appointments and work, but at least I'll have next week off to enjoy my wedding anniversary <3

I've really been considering doing nanawrimo this year, I have a loose plot ready for a novel but I don't know if I'm ready to commit to a month of writing on top of my other work... but it would be really cool to have a soft, POC, post apocolytpic (and a little solarpunk) story about the nature of love and healing and honesty, right?

i want that to exist.

i've been so productive today! my sister and i went to the recycling centre to get rid of all of the boxes that we've now emptied, which means that we almost have a complete book nook!

i can't wait to show you, it's so cute and cosy! just waiting on some command strips so i can mount all of our artwork to the walls. i've been reading a lot in there during the evenings.

the pictures are from my birthday at the beginning of the month, husband and i went to see the nutcracker. it was his first time seeing a ballet and he really enjoyed it!

i've been in so much pain this week, I've not been able to get a lot done. Bare mininum week of writing scripts for new videos and doing my monthly tarot readings for Patreon.

i did download the toucan plug-in that translates text on webpages into your target language (it only translate a word or phrase at a time which is nice for me bc i can see them in context) and it's been really useful for adding to my spanish vocabulary with things that i will actually use!

12.10.23 (thursday) - finished some posts today and decided to get ahead on my reading for the next book club entry that I'm making for patreon - we're finally going to be talking about tarot cards after reading through the introductory section of the Pictorial Key To The Tarot!

i wish that i had the stamina for note-taking and referencing that i did even a year ago; I've got a headache after only 3-4 hours work (with breaks) when I would have been able to be do way longer before T_T

09.10.23 - writing more material for this course that i'm developing, i'm so close to being finished with it, i can TASTE the finish line lol

also went to a view a potential new home and then to lunch with my siblings which was very pleasant (even though i was so hot, i was sweating the whole time in my little autumnal outfit), fingers crossed they will accept our offer so we can move out of our current places and into one big house together.

I have a good day of errands and reading tomorrow which is very much needed, looking forward to making my lil notes and compiling all my information like a good student <3

My dog's not been well the past few days so I've been limited in my ability to do most things - reading, spanish podcasts and watching the Weightlifting Europeans has been the most that I've been able to do between being a nurse for my little furry friend.

What I've done (aside from looking after my dog):

20 mins Spanish Input (I love you Easy Spanish <3)

10 mins Duolingo (not focusing on my streak anymore but it's kind of a habit now)

Researching BSL courses for Level 1/2

Researching Spanish Language at Level 2/3

have to walk for 45 minutes to get my physiotherapy sessions now but the consolation is that the walk has some great photo ops.
