Dean is such a self-loathing little man. He blames himself for everything bad that happens, and he thinks anything good is just going to end eventually and it'll be his fault. And then he pretends that he thinks he's cool and great and manly and smart. When he thinks he's the worst thing that could ever happen to someone and that he's inadequate and that he's an idiot. He thinks he "breaks everything [he] touch[es]"
And he's not a perfect character. He does bad things and probably has anger issues and-
But he really just needs someone he can actually trust. Not Sam (not that Sam is bad or anything, yk, but siblings aren't the person to go to for 'trust'). Maybe Cas, but I'm only on s8 and am having a hard time trusting him rn.
Not sure where I was going with this, but I'm about to have a cry.

why i would marry the man in the yellow hat: an analysis
yesterday, I was talking to an irl and she mentioned how she though the man in the yellow hat was a ‘weirdo’ to which I responded that I’d probably marry him, little to no questions asked. I mostly meant it as joke but as I think about it, I’ve come up with many reasons for this decision.
first, the logistical shit
the real estate assets: not only does he own an apartment in the heart of new york city with relatively decent neighbors, but this apartment has AT LEAST two bedrooms, maybe three. the kitchen and natural light (plus a balcony wtf) are probably enough on their own, BUT he also owns—hmm we’ll say ‘has access to’ because who knows if he’s renting or if it belongs to a friend—A WHOLE FUCKING COUNTRY HOME IN UPSTATE NEW YORK!!! it’s near a lake and a cute farm and has room for a garden. the only downside to these assets is that he generally does not ever work, so who knows how he’s paying for this. some shady shit is probably going on, but for now, we’ll dismiss it.
the job: while the movie showcase’s his ability to save dying museums, the tv show sort of ignores his career, which is fine, again, I’m not judging if he’s secretly in the mafia. however, if he does if fact still work at the museum then points to him. museum jobs are rare, presenting themselves only in rom-coms and horror films (aka top-tier filmography)
next, the not as logistical shit
gentle parent: even when george bankrupts a candy store, brings home 1 million donuts and hides them in the couch, and buries his personal belongings in the yard in an attempt to grow them like plants, he never loses his shit. the worst type of people are people with anger issues. also, remember that random kid (bill maybe?) who lives near the country home but has no family or parents and continually makes efforts to destroy the man in the yellow hat’s life. he doesn’t get mad at that kid either. instead, he calmly explains problems and solution to george, allowing him to learn naturally from his mistakes.
wise: again, museum job—means he’s is most likely educated. also, “you don’t give a monkey a latte!” he knows shit.
aquarius: harry styles is an aquarius.
connections: I do have to mention that’s probably illegal to bring a monkey into some of the places he brings a monkey to (ie. his apartment, Italian restaurants, public libraries), so he most likely has connections deep in the government or something be to allowed to do this.
lastly, the shady shit
again, how is he paying rent?: the possibility of a mafia connection is loud. or maybe he’s just a nepo baby, but still I have questions.
the country home: like WHY does he always have to go the country house? there’s not much there. stop leaving the city man.
wait, I just remembered that he’s sometimes has to meet with that scientist lady, so maybe he does still have the museum job, but regardless, he’s never physically ‘at work’, so still concerning.
that’s all I think. if you actually read this, why? what did you gain? thanks though ily <33

Don't like Adrienette anymore.
You know I'm starting to dislike Adrien the more I read fanfics on Lila Exposed a bit more then on the shows. I would perfer if Marinette is paired polyamory or quadruplet with either these characters I have in mind they are Felix, Luka, Chloe, or Kagami.

HEY GUYS HERE'S PART 2 OF THE HEMINGWAY RANT ! ask and you shall recieve :)
you can read part 1 HERE and also read the trigger warnings there before you start, this one also has a lot of war trauma talk nothing too bad though
people that read the first one and I think wanted to be tagged in part 2: @mister3127 @crayonssmellgood @mack-anthology-of-noise @vampireboywife
okay welcome back to episode 2 of why the fuck am I hooked on the life of an american writer from the 1930s. so I have a couple more interesting facts about him because tbh this man was insane :D
so let's do a little compare and contrast game. hemingway grew up in the great lakes area and enjoyed big game hunting, solo fishing trips, had a father who was a doctor locally famous for performing c-sections whom he worshipped, was injured passing out cigarettes and chocolate to Italian soldiers in WW1, and spent time recovering in Milan
hemingway's most famous short stories are his Nick Adams stories. he created this character that he called Nick Adams and wrote stories about Nick's entire life. here are some things about nick: he grew up in the great lakes area and enjoyed big game hunting, solo fishing trips, had a father who was a doctor locally famous for performing c-sections whom he worshipped, was injured passing out cigarettes and chocolate to Italian soldiers in WW1, and spent time recovering in Milan. are we seeing the similarities???
so Hemingway was out here basically writing self insert war fic. most critiques will tell you that he based Nick Adams on himself, but they fail to tell you to what extent. like the similarities are INSANE. Nick Adams was literally Hemingway as a book character. and he very obviously wrote these stories as a coping mechanism for his war ptsd. the stories are often extremely plotless and sometimes rambling- you can tell it's just an expression of his brain to the point where while reading some of his work, my only thought was literally "go to therapy. talk this out with someone." like it might not help but also it might because some of these stories are insane.
the ones that I think best demonstrates this are "a way you'll never be" and "now I lay me," which you can read in THIS PDF, just ctrl+f for the titles. a way you'll never be is about Nick Adams being sent out to the front lines of Italy in American uniform to spread morale. he also has a head injury and also some mental issues and ends up going on a rant about grasshoppers to all the soldiers (because grasshoppers are significant in his childhood of fishing and whatnot) and just generally while you read it you can tell it was written by someone extremely mentally ill to the point where it's like. hard to read. "now I lay me" is a similar idea except this one is mainly about how Hemingway, for much of his life, could not sleep without another person in the room or a light on because he would get horrible nightmares. this one is pretty hard to read as well, and there's some dialogue at the end that makes very little sense out of context of the other Nick Adams stories.
essentially reading Nick Adams stories is like weaving a huge web of plot points and similarities of hemingway's life, and along the way you start learning the significance of things like trout and grasshoppers and the different representations of trauma and it all comes together in a huge pile of what the fuck did I just read please talk to someone about this, I am concerned and this seems really unhealthy. and also the wildest part is he literally did this, published these nick Adams stories, and people ATE THEM UP. they were like yesss hemingway another banger plotless ramble about war traumaaa!!! like people ATE UP his work. and even to this day I don't see anyone talking about how insane it was that he literally did this. someone please tell me i'm right about this I feel like a crazy person.
anyway on a happier note, to end part 2 I would love to tell my favourite Hemingway story.
so if you're familiar with f. Scott Fitzgerald (the guy who wrote great Gatsby), you might be surprised to learn that him and hemingway had a kind of love/hate/friends/kind of homoerotic but Hemingway was homophobic (read the Mother of a queen) relationship. they used to write letters to eachother and edit each other's work !! Hemingway once sent a draft of a story to F. Scott and F. Scott sent back 10 pages of edits. Hemingway sent a letter back that only said "kiss my ass." Hemingway also wrote a really sweet letter to F. Scott at one point that you can read HERE in which he wrote "you are twice as good now as you were at the time you think you were so marvellous," and also "anyway I’m damned fond of you" and then signed it "always your friend." which was cute. Hemingway also like. DESPISED f scott's wife with a passion. do with that what you will.
anyway here's the interesting part !! this is a pretty famous story that Hemingway wrote about later after it happened. so this one time hemingway and f. scott were having dinner in Paris and F. Scott expressed his concern that his dick was too small. so Hemingway said hey, come to the bathroom and we'll compare dick sizes don't worry. and then they did. and hemingway's response was "you're perfectly fine". so uh. here's some articles about that one time F. Scott Fizgerald and Ernest Hemingway compared dick sizes in a Paris bathroom...... 1 2
and YEAH !! thank you for reading part 2 of my insane Hemingway rants!!! hope yall learned something !!!
here's my list of recs of Hemingway stories if you're interested and want to read some of his shit, again all of them can be found HERE
so the 2 most entertaining reads are "the short happy life of francis macomber" and "the undefeated", those have the most plot, if you read short happy life please hmu send me an ask and tell me if you think margot was guilty or innocent
some concerning nick adams stories: "in another country", "a way you'll never be", "now i lay me", "big two-hearted river" parts 1 and 2
i wrote an essay on this one, it has some homophobic undertones: "the mother of a queen"
and finally my personal fave "a clean well-lighted place"

Yukino’s Star Dress (Fairy Tail 100 Years Quest Spoiler - Chapter 134)
Calling Yukino’s Star Dress an invalidation to Lucy’s power is crazy. I was surprised she didn’t have it to begin with and now she does, here comes all the boohooers. We get it y’all love Lucy but why can’t they both be strong?? Calling Yukino’s Star Dress poor writing because it was thrown in there random as if Lucy’s Star Dress wasn’t ALSO random asf (minus Aquarius form). Yukino has always been a more skilled celestial than Lucy and that is a fact (coming from a Lucy lover) because she’s been a mage longer. Just say you don’t like someone stealing the spotlight from Lucy. Again they are BOTH strong and BOTH have an amazing and powerful magic power up, so let it go. Let’s just appreciate two badass Celestials slaying instead of putting one down just to praise another 🙄

Started a new book today…
Tumblr media
Not actually about Jensen in Dark Angel but I mean why can’t I imagine him as a Navy seal??
And yes I’m aware that’s not a Seal, but it’s Jensen dressed as a sailor
Tumblr media
Also one of the other main characters is named Ben. Just thought I’d leave that information with y’all and let y’all do with it what you please.

Definitely not getting some new fic ideas over here. No none at all. Would Dean fit in pretty well in this particular universe… uh maybe. They are hunting some pretty ducking evil things here. And dealing with thing you can’t see.
Tumblr media
Crap did a find Christian version of Supernatural? In a way?
I think I did. But like the alternative universe Dean and Sam.
Tumblr media
So yeah that’s what I’m up to… what are you up to?
Whatcha reading? I’d love to hear what it’s about. Comment below or shoot me a message!

Am I the only one?
So I have something to get off my chest because I can't sleep. Am I the only one who dislikes when writers peer pressure their readers to reblog or comment?
a writer shouldn't make their readers feel bad because they don't comment and reblog to feel like their stories are good or to feel validated. As a reader-turned-writer, I felt scared to comment because of my anxiety. You should like your stories first, be proud of them, and write for yourself first, and then them. I think as a writer you should be happy that people like the story and not feel if they don't those things that your story isn't "Good enough" or "Loved" as a writer If I see someone liked my story that's amazing! If they reblog even better! And they comment then yay! But don't make your readers or followers feel like bad people because you require people's validation and feel like tumbler is dying because your readers not reblogging or commenting.
I had to rant

Not some dumbass calling Zuko "real fire bending prodigy" as a shot to Azula. First of all, do y'all even know what "prodigy" means, cause if we have watch the same show Zuko is far from being a prodigy. Zuko is a skilled bender, no doubt about that plus he came from a powerful lineage if we must say. However, despite of having a powerful bloodline Zuko as shown in the show (and comics) is a late bloomer bending-wise, I think it's mentioned in the comics where they thought he's a non-bender because the glint of his eyes. This is the very reason why there's a drift between him and Ozai because it's not what he expected (I mean you got a Roku and Sozin blood in your veins so I think many thought he'll bea spectacular bender from the get go). And don't even get me started about how Zuko needs to experience some dragon shenanigans so that his bending will improve skyrocket.

Any robron fans in the lone star/tarlos fandom?
Does this Iris business not remind you of the Rebecca nonsense? Including the fan reaction to her and the actress.
Let me explain for the people who don't know what I'm talking about.
Robron (Robert and Aaron) were a couple on a British soap and in 2017 they got (unofficially) married right before Aaron went to prison. During that prison stint he got hooked on drugs and picked a fight with Robert during a visit - who then went home, got drunk, slept with his ex wife's sister Rebecca... Who then got pregnant with his baby. (this is the short version - the story lasted most of 2017 and into 2018)
99.999999% of the fandom hated the story, some people left the fandom, people were in denial and wrote fics where it all just never happened, others straight up blacklisted every word to do with the story... And there were people who "targeted" (for lack of a better word) the actress playing Rebecca. Who blamed the story on her, called her (the actress) names and said she only got the job because her dad was a big name in the industry. She ended up basically quitting social media over it and the guys playing Robert and Aaron would step in to defend her in interviews and on social media. So did the soap press.
Even mentioning her name (actress or character) was controversial™️ in the fandom.
It's all very similar to this Iris story. I don't like it either and of everything Tim Minear could have done with Carlos this season, this was definitely not on my wishlist... But it's the story he's written and no amount of shit you give him or Rafa or Lyndsey is going to change it.
You don't have to like it, you don't have to watch, you can pretend it's not happening, you can write all of the this-never-happened fics, but don't take it out on the actors. And obviously complaining to Tim doesn't do any good either.
A marriage in name only between two friends who both want to end it one way or another really isn't the worst version of this story we could have gotten. Plot holes and all.
Neither is in love with the other, Iris doesn't want Carlos for herself, Iris isn't fighting the divorce, Iris isn't saying TK isn't good enough, she isn't pregnant with his kid, they don't have a secret 5 year old, Carlos isn't sneaking off to be with her, Carlos isn't keeping this from TK, they're not breaking up over it, they're still getting married, Iris wants to be there as Carlos' friend (as long as she doesn't have to sit next to a gemini) - it could be worse.

Dose milk powder + milk = double milk
Nah, it would just be saturated milk flavored milk
Cause if you think about it you can take chocolate milk powder and milk, and it wouldn’t be double milk.
You’re just flavoring the milk.
So putting the milk powder in milk would just be flavoring the milk with milk flavor.

what do you usually do when you work on plays?
wow this is such an old ask but i'm back in theater again so i'm finally motivated 2 answer it :)
i usually do costumes, makeup, and hair!! i started out w my current theater company wanting to act as i had some experience acting/singing before but i don't really think that's for me so i ended up on costumes crew and really liking it
my favorite part is definitely hair because a lot of the costuming work we do is thrifting and altering which is kinda boring.. i've had major hair jobs in all my shows so far, my favorite kind of thing to do is period hairstyles, i'm slowly becoming a nerd at vintage curling and styling techniques & would love to post about that sometime on here
honestly stage hair is one of my favorite things to do because it has to be so bold and dramatic to read for the audience as what it's supposed to be and there are so many factors like movement and micing and costume changes and just in general not fucking up the actors' natural hair too much, it's such a fantastic creative challenge and i love getting to style hair in a way that's not explicitly for beauty if that makes sense. like with makeup a lot of people know that it can be an art form but not a lot of people see hair in that way..
i love getting to design hairstyles and teach them, and honestly i feel hair is the most overlooked aspect of helping people get into character like i know so many actors that see themselves in full hair for the first time and how it completely changes the way they behave and how they feel because they just look so different and i think that's super cool to get to do, like there's nothing i like more than being told go mess around with that actor's hair and see what kind of shapes and styles we can get :)
