I loved you like the warm sun in the day.

Everything I loved about you grew like they say,

But when I looked at you, you were a wall pushing me away.

Even if you were like that, I let you do as you may.

The wind blew harshly at the fresh green grass.

To you I was always a harsh pass.

I would love you bigger than the mass,

But I could never be that woman that could surpass.

Yay it was such a beautiful, shiny day.

You whispered to the love of your life and it crushed my way.

“I love you” were the words I could never say.

Since you loved another girl I could never stay.

My love looked like it was leashed on a stick.

I could never win with your love so thick.

I thought I would have a chance so quick,

But then again I was never your pick…

I talk to the stars at night.

Hoping that things will start to be right.

I have never seen such a beautiful sight.

This is a random excerpt I wrote. Meaning it has virtually no context and if you read this, you’ll be a little confused... #sorrynotsorry :D I hope you like it anyways.

Dead. She was supposed to be dead. But the letters… the handwriting…

Could it be fake? Was it possible someone else had been in on their little game?

The smell of sulfur and smoke burned through the air, the howling winds eye-wateringly sour. The rising red sun cast a hellish glow over the ruins of a forsaken building, the only remains a single, crumbling, concrete wall. Using the wall for support, Khail bent down and tentatively brushed his fingers against the rough, sunwarmed asphalt, tracing each crude letter.

L-o-v-e y-o-u. Love you, the words taunted, flaunting a hidden secret, the letters flagrantly white against the dark ground. They seemed forgotten, scrawled across the filthy land that bore remnants of a war.

It’s hers, I know it’s hers, he thought feverishly, his heart pounding with passion, or terror, he didn’t know. The strangely slanted l, the crooked o’s…

The u. Why was it written so oddly? Like an ancient symbol, more so than a letter of the alphabet…

Khail’s heart begun to palpitate, pounding in his ears. Abruptly he backed away from the writing, falling against the wall. Pushing himself off of it, he scrambled up and begun to sprint.

He had hardly gotten far before the ground beneath him imploded.
