QSMP – SUMMARY OF THE SITUATION

Last week, we invited Quackity and other Quackity Studios executives to engage in negotiations with their workers. As far as we know, no contact has been attempted, either directly or via us. In fact, most of them saw all their communication media cut off without prior notice nor any further explanation.

A wide range of positions are illustrated in the testimonials we have received: egg actors, translators for various languages, community managers, artists, builders, developers, etc.

We have been made aware of several defamatory messages, some of which being public, towards people we defend, in order to sideline them and discredit criticism. Several staff members have been expelled from their positions in an attempt to cover up serious offences committed by the individuals they worked with. This is sadly usual: just like with Ubisoft or Quantic Dream, Quackity Studios silences those who speak up to protect its upper management.

The pattern is well-rounded:

Hiring « volunteer » workers. Some of them are promised a salary (without announcing any amount) following a one-week free « trial period », which is extended over months.

After this trial, a surprise: budget is restricted, meaning this salary will be no more than $200 or $300.

Of course, no written employment contract is provided. Even worse, workers are compelled to sign an abusive, badly-written NDA, which is to be their sole legal basis, so as to « keep the role-play surprise ».

This NDA is hijacked to deny workers the right to protest about their working conditions. Their personal social media accounts are watched, they are asked to take screenshots of their private messages (with threats to those who dare to resist), they are reminded about how « lucky » they are to work for Quackity, although for free, 70 hours a week, without any time off (no vacation, nor even weekends)…

To drain away any energy to stand up for their rights, burnouts are induced and planed: undersized « volunteer » teams, massive amounts of work to be delivered yesterday, then thrown away because no longer needed. When someone refuses this urgency, pressure to « just do an hour or two », to make them feel guilty.

Dismissal of those considered not sufficiently productive (on vacation, because of personal impediments, having technical problems, etc.).

When social media are involved and expose the truth, scapegoats are sought to, again, protect the perpetrators.

In the end, following the revelation of the case, all the French workers, regardless their contribution to it, have been fired in violation of all applicable legal procedures.

Four recurring aspects appear in the reports: disguised work, frenetic work rhythm, invasive surveillance of workers (including illegal intrusions into their privacy), and moral harassment.

We reiterate our call, to Quackity and other executives at Quackity Studios, to take action immediately. A full internal review, unanimously requested by the workers, is urgent. It must contribute to social dialogue, in order to achieve a fair and equitable outcome for all affected people (both in France and other countries), with appropriate (and retroactive) compensation.

If Quackity is unable to address the problems internally, we will sue the company to defend the workers.

Ladybug PV led to the creation of Null Era + other things: A theory re-evaluating the pre-production of Miraculous Ladybug

ah yes, the famous pv, with an alternative marinette that’s confident and an aloof cat boy called felix. yet, even though they seem to be based on null era, why are they still so different from their null era counterparts?

there were a lot of holes in timeline regarding the production, things that made no sense if it was sequenced that way. but when i started to see it this way, i think it solves some questions i had.

(i apologise for the messiness of all the ideas as i am just rambling)

so here’s my theory, as well as the reasons why i think so:

ladybug pv laid out the groundwork for null era. like such:

(first image represents the era in which marinette was confident, and nathan existed. for lack of a better term, i’ll refer it to the 2010 era.)

seems like toei was only given “2010” material to work with, and thus came up with the pv. this explains why alina, adoni, the bodyguards, null doesn’t show up. oh and why bridgette bug uses martial arts instead of weapons.

if anything, the pv isn’t based on null era, it’s based on the 2010.

looks to me like the pv expanded on the 2010 ideas by astruc

and the development team liked it so they expanded on the ideas even further into null era which explains actions shown in the pv, such as richard destroying the world because he’s power hungry.

bridgette’s design seems to be heavily based on this artwork specifically. long hair, same shorts and same shoes. except her top outfit, which seems to be from this right image, created even earlier.

her personality as well is obviously not shy. she’s much like the 2010 marinette rather than the null era.

now let’s talk about felix.

felix sphinx, on the other hand, has right swept bangs like in the pv, different from many other “felix-like” artworks that showcase nathan/ felix with left swept bangs.

if felix sphinx was based on the pv, the difference in their personalities makes much more sense. why pv is portrayed as being annoyed with bridgette, however not in the same degree as astruc’s nathan version. most likely while creating null era, the team further toned down on the annoyed aspect and heightened his nerd side to create who we know as felix sphinx.

not to mention, the pv is also the only media that depicts felix with being studious (books), other than the july 2012 bible.

now take a look at these, which i believe are all based on the image on their left.

2010->PV->Null Era

i used to think the right image inspired the middle image, but now arranging it this way makes more sense to me.

in terms of how everything actually went down:

i think that there were on going discussions on how astruc’s original “2010” concept could be altered during 2010-2012. many ideas were being brought up then scraped such as (the later part of) mini menace, quantic kids, etc, leading to an influx of art and ideas tossed around during this time, especially during 2012.

before toei officially became the co-producer, i think toei brought up the possibility that it could be 2d animation, then created the pv using the original astruc concept, of course with their own ideas tossed in (like how another producer wanted quantic kids). the proposal for 2d was rejected in the end, but i think they wanted to explore toei’s ideas, thus leading to the creation of null era.

rather than see it as a linear progression with a lot of mixing in between “eras” which is how i saw it in the past, the development should be seen as a centre (2010) being branched out into multiple ideas all scattered around the place. each era/ version is just the team mixing and matching elements that they like, and going forward with whatever fits best + goes through the approval of sponsors and producers. this leads to why chat noir was officially confirmed to be called felix during september 2012 while he’s called adrien in the first bible, why quantic kids appeared in the super lady luck game, why the pv and the bible, which differed greatly in ideas, existed during the same time (it’s also possible pv was made much much earlier than the date it was put onto youtube).

What are your feelings on the Quantic kids cause you use them from a variety of character types, and its hard to tell if you like them or dislike them?

I think they're a little overused and overexposed! I also am not super into some of the common dynamics between them and the mains.

The usual Claude Archetype of "sillyman" annoys me specifically, and it double annoys me when he "sillymans" his way into being Felix' "best friend" (which should be, honestly, be Marinette's role). Allegra is hardly consistent but is either team mom-ing. marinette's girlie bff, or being a chloe-but-on-our-side (and considering that Alya existed at this time at too, this ends up forcing their roles overlap and it becomes unnecessary), and Allan is rarely given more substance than "token black", because there are too many characters at this point filling too many roles, and he often feels superfluous and rarely adds anything of substance (he is often given the straight-man role, which should be a mix of Allegra and Felix' Role, and sometimes Marinette!)

I think most times, stories that add the QK and fail to keep their focus on the felix-marinette dynamic- and the Marinette-Felix needs to be the starring dynamic: most QK based media feels like they are- weather the intent is such or not- trying to sabotage it rather than supplement it. So then end up ANNOYING the living hell outta me.

In the end, they are characters to USE and each story is different. They are perfectly fine characters to use- especially great for filling out spots in a story!! But with so many pre-canon characters coming to light as to late, why use the QK when you can have Alina, Alyx, and Flora?

Time surge - A beast wars fanfic (part 1/2)

hi guys! today I want to do something different from usual I wrote a Beast wars fanfic, it's kinda small but I hope you guys like it

Word count: 2275

PLOT: the maximals find a stasis pod after a long time without them, but there seems to be something wrong with this one

4 million years ago

The maximals wake up at the sound of the alarms blaring off the Axalon’s main computer.

“It seems our sensors have located a stasis pod” informs Airazor, as she sees the set of coordinates given on-screen; Rattrap walks into the command center, his face showing surprise as he processes the situation “how long has it been since the last one, I really started to believe we had found all of the missing protoforms?” Optimus, the leader of the maximals, looks at the coordinates, it is an area a few kilometers away from the maximal base “we need to hurry to it before the predacons have a chance to activate it. The last thing we need at the moment is for Megatron’s troops to increase their numbers!”

The maximals rush to the location of the pod, Rhinox leading the way with his big size, Cheetor is next to him, running like the wind, not much behind them are Rattrap and Dinobot, while Airazor and Optimus soar the skies above them; as soon as the team reaches the pod, it becomes evident something is wrong, the pod is glitching dramatically and making abnormal noises, Rhinox approaches it and gives it a profound look, just like a youngling looking at a shiny object… “hm, interesting” “what’s interesting big guy?” asks Cheetor “it seems the time jump affected this pod, my sensors detect remains of quantic energy damaging the pod” Cheetor walks closer to the pod “which means…?” “the pod is a literal time bomb, if it explodes, it could create a wormhole that would consume all time and space” at the sound of those words, the spotted Maximal backs off quickly.

“Then why are we waiting? we have to destroy it before it destroys us!” yells Dinobot as he walks towards it while holding his sword, but Rattrap still on beast mode gets in the way, making Dinobot trip and fall “Chillax Choppa Face, you heard what Rhinox said, that thing could consume time and space if it explodes, do you want to take the risk?” argues Rattrap “at least I am willing to act, instead of merely standing like a vermin….” “Oh yeah?” begginns Rattrap “well at least I-” “Enough!” interrupts Optimus Primal “Rhinox, can you try to release the quantic energy from the pod without it causing a disaster?” Rhinox reflects in silence before changing to bot mode “I’ll see what I can do, but don’t get your hopes too high…”

Life of a predacon is no fun, Waspinator knows this, he has been soaring the skies pointlessly for quite a while now “Waspinator can’t fly anymore, Waspinator wants to go back to Darksyde” his laments sound through the mountains, but there’s no one who can hear them and pity him.

through his comm link he hears Megatron’s voice “Waspinator, what’s your status?”

“Waspinator is tired, no maximals in sight, can Waspinator go back now?”

“No Waspinator, the maximals are the exact reason I called you, our scanners located them a few meters away from your location and it seems they have encountered a stasis pod, yesss” Megatron explains, finishing his sentence with that weird ‘yes’ he tends to do when talking. “Go retrieve it, I will be sending backup to your location soon, yeesss” with that order, Waspinator went to the given coordinates as he lamented his situation.

“What’s the situation Rhinox?” Asked Optimus Primal to his comrade “have you managed to stabilize the pod?”

“not yet, quantic energy is quite delicate, any wrong move could be fatal, so I have to be extremely careful” reported the large maximal

“Understood, keep working”

It has been quite a while since Rhinox started working on the pod, and the group was starting to become impatient, especially Cheetor “ugh! How long will it take? I’m dying here!”

“quiet kiddo, none of us wants to be here but we are not complaining” Rattrap shuts him up

Suddenly the peace is interrupted by a buzzing sound coming from the sky, the maximals go into battle positions. “It’s Waspinator! I’ll handle him” yells Cheetor, as he charges with his gun in hand

In a few blasts he downs Waspinator, who transforms into bot mode and gets ready to engage, but before he can fire at anyone, the Maximals shoot at him and the poor predacon is blasted to pieces.

Cheetor grins at the victory “that was easy” but Primal knows better than to celebrate before time “If Waspinator saw the pod then most likely Megatron knows about it, everyone stay alert, Rhinox, we need you to hurry up, the pod must not-” “Fall into Predacon hands?” it was to late, Megatron had arrived and behind him were Blackarachnia, Tarantulas, Scorponok, Inferno and Terrorsaur “I’m afraid it’s too late for that, we are taking the pod, so stand back unless you want to be obliterated, yesss” “Megatron, this pod is dangerously unstable, don’t engage” Optimus tries to warn Megatron to no avail. “Maximal lies; Predacons, terrorize” the predacons follow their leader’s orders and rush to their foes “Maximals, protect Rhinox and the pod!”

battle ensues between the two factions as Rhinox works on the pod, at this point everything he has tried to release the quantum energy had failed, and he was quickly running out of options, suddenly, his train of thought is interrupted when Tarantulas, the sneaky spider appears behind him “how about you step away and let me handle this?” Rhinox pulls out his gun at him and coldly answers “over my lifeless husk” that gives enough time for Cheetor to pounce to Tarantulas’ back, pinning him on the floor “I got your back Rhinox'' he makes a soldier salute at him, but as Tarantulas starts getting up, Cheetor goes back into battle stance, dragging the Predacon away from his comrade, who goes back to his thoughts; suddenly, he comes up with an idea, triggering the pod’s activation protocols! that could dissipate the quantum energy, but if could also detonate the pod, it was worth the risk trying

“Optimus, I need all of you to clear the area” Rattrap lands next to Rhinox “yeah… that’s easier said than done” he remarks, while covering his face from the firing from Scorponok’s blaster before running at him.

He is right, there is no way for the maximals to get away from the pod while the predacons want it, so he will have to get the pod away from THEM before trying anything, in a quick movement, Rhinox changes to beast mode, puts the pod on his back and run away from the battle; this doesn’t go unnoticed by the predacon leader “the maximal is taking the pod! get him” but his troops are unable to comply, as the Maximals have subdued them “what?” “it seems your men aren’t in conditions to follow, Megatron” mocks Optimus , who shoves Megatron into the ground, then he looks up to where Rhinox was heading “I hope your plan works my friend…” from below, Megatron laughs in silence, Cheetor notices “what’s so funny?” “nothing” responds Megatron with an innocent tone, Dinobot looks at him with suspicion, whenever Megatron is happy it cannot be good, he looks around at all the Predacons, there’s Terrorsaur, Blackarachnia, Tarantulas, Waspinator’s head trying to reach for his arm and Scorponok, he finally takes notice, Inferno is missing “where is Inferno?” Megatron laughs dramatically “oh you shall see, yess”.

A few meters away, Rhinox is preparing to activate the pod without noticing he is being watched, before pressing the activation button, he caresses the surface of the pod, as if he was adressing a child “don’t worry, if this works, you will awaken” “oh it will be okay” Rhinox turns around, finnaly seeing Inferno, the red ant Predacon is standing right in front of him “deliver the protoform to me, my queen will greatly appreciate it” as Rhinox internally cringes at Inferno refering to Megatron as his ‘queen’, he gives him a glare of defiance while slowly reaching out to the pod’s controls, the ant predacon takes notice “stay away from that panel” Rhinox stays still for a few seconds, then he slowly puts his hands up and backs away from the pod, Inferno starts walking towards it while laughing maniacally, what he didn’t know is that it had already been activated, when he was about to start reprogaming the protoform inside the pod as a predacon, the scan antenna appears on top of the pod and it starts searching its surroundings for an alt-mode, but as it does it starts glitching and shaking, the terrain it scans starts changing to show different time periods the cybertronians don’t recognize, the ground moves and electricity surrounds the pod as it emmits a blinding light.

When the light dissipates, Rhinox looks at the pod, realizing it had disappeared “what?” “what have you done!? where is it!?” the maximal turns at Inferno, who by the look of it, is enraged at the absence of the pod, he points his gun at Rhinox’s head “you shall be terminated for this” but before the ant can do anything, Cheetor fires from his back, behind him, the other Maximals approach, Inferno gets ready to fight them all but Megatron’s voice in his commlink interrupts it “Inferno, head back to base” he sighs before answering “yes, my queen” with that, Inferno takes off, heading to the predacon ship.

The maximals approach Rhinox, Optimus leading the group “where’s the pod?” Rhinox looks back at where it should be, a slight sadness visible in his optics “gone, the time surge caused by the activation of the pod caused a wormhole effect which made it disappear from our timeline” all the other maximals look at the scene in silence, until Optimus orders “let’s head back to base”

1983

“Hey kid! the control panel for the carousel broke again!” “on it!” another night, another ‘technical difficulty’ at the fair, ‘why is it that on the most busy days it happens the most?’ thinks Olivia Larson as she follows the carousel operator through the crowd of people.

After some walking, she reaches her destination, and as she expected, there is a good line of angry people in front of the carousel, she sets down her tools and opens the panel to start working on it “there’s the problem” she says to herself as she reaches to her toolbox for the things she needs; she works steadily for a while, taking her time, but at a constant pace “can’t you work any faster?” Olivia sighs, of course, there has to be THAT lady in every single game she attends to, as much as she would want to obliterate her, she has to conform with giving her usual answer “not if I want to do this right ma’am” with that short answer she keeps working, until she hears another voice complaining ugh! How long will it take? I’m dying here! Exasperated, Olivia drops her tool and stands up “as I said, I want to do this right, so it will take as long as I need to-“ “who are you talking to?” a very confused man in the line asks “none of us were talking” she looks at him surprised, ‘is this a joke?’ She thinks ‘I clearly heard someone’ “eh… Olivia? are you done?” asks the carousel operator behind her, Olivia turns around at him and pauses briefly “n-no, but I’m almost”.

After a few minutes of working, she sighs satisfied, she looks at the operator, who was standing next to her “alright, try turning it on now” he turned his key, and the carrousel started spinning and playing that cheesy song it plays; while turning her eyes at the song, she stand up, suddenly, she hears another voice stay away from that panel she jumps at the sound of it, and looks around trying to find whoever was talking “are you okay Olivia?” it’s the operator guy again, what was his name again? Tim, Kim… maybe Jim “Olivia?” he asks again “oh! yeah, I-I’m fine, I’m just tired, I will go check out and head home” “okay, see you tomorrow” “Bye!”

As Olivia entered her bedroom, she still felt uneasy “calm down Liv, you are just tired, get some sleep, you will see that by morning it will all be back to normal and you will be alone in your head again” she said to herself as she shoved herself into bed without even changing clothes “just sleep…”

Usually when waking up, Olivia is received by the sunrays coming from her window and the sound of her alarm clock aggressively forcing her to consciousness and reminding her she couldn’t stay in her soft bed, but that morning was different.

The sun was hitting her directly to her face, there was no alarm clock, and no soft bed; instead there was… the sound of wild birds and a hard rock floor underneath her?

“what the…” she looks around as she stands up “am I dreaming?” suddenly, she tripped on a rock and went nose-dive into the hard painfull rocks “not a dream! not at all”

It was all real, she was really in the middle of a dryland with no sign of civilization on sight, no food, no water,and no way to communicate with anyone but herself “calm down Olivia… you will be okay, you just need to walk, there must be a town or something nearby.”

Unknown to her, there weren't any human settlements where she was, or should I risk sounding cliche and say…

When she was

“Optimus, we have detected a sudden burst of quantum energy in the area”

Is there ANY character you removed from your AU?

Also, do you have an episode list? Or at least some episodes that you won't be keeping? If so, which episodes did you remove and why? And do you have how many seasons planned?

Lastly, will your AU be in fanfic format, fanfic with some images to illustrate it, or something else?

As of now, I'm pretty sure every character that has appeared in canon (at least the important ones) are going to be incorporated somehow

There are some characters like Giselle (Mme. Bustier's wife) or August (Gigantitan) that aren't "important" that'll still at the very least have a cameo or brief mention

But there ARE some characters that are being added to the story such as the Quantic Kids (aka the original "Team Miraculous" from the pilot) who will have some importance.

I don't have an episode list, nor do I know for sure which episodes will/won't be added. Some episodes are vital to the plot of the canon show whereas others aren't so it's hard to say for sure which will be important to the story.

On top of this, this isn't really going to be following the typical episodic style as the show, each part is going to basically pick and choose what needs to happen including the Akuma, characters, and story so technically there aren't any "episodes" in my rewrite (but certain things will still follow a set order like in canon)

And I have 5 "seasons" planned, however I'm referring to them as Arc's instead as (like previously said) I'm not writing it episode by episode but rather important dates. Because of that each Arc will be focusing on specific things, which ranges from character arcs to world building.

And lastly, it'll be primarily fanfic format with a few art pieces here and there. Before the story officially starts, I plan to post at least all of the main cast's redesigns with a small description of what I've changed and why.

However, I do plan to keep their hero forms secret until they actually debut. Of course, this won't be the case with Ladybug, Chat Noir, or our villains though as they appear pretty much immediately.

Along with that, as small teaser, Hawk Moth and Mayura have different names in my rewrite. Hawk Moth was changed to Monarque (Monarch in French) as I think it suit's my version of Gabriel better and Mayura's new name is a secret as it's a slight spoiler to her rewritten backstory so stay tuned for that (:

Got into DPxDC and decided to take a crack at it. As usual this thing was supposed to be a one-shot but is 18.9k words so far and counting so three-shot is more likely.

His mother was dead and his father was paralyzed. To make matters worse his father found out about Robin and was vehemently against it; so much so that he was sending Tim away. Turns out Janet Drake wasn’t his biological mother, his parents had used a surrogate. A woman named Sabine Cheng who lived in Paris alongside her husband and daughters. Turns out Tim was a twin; his parents only wanted the son.

As much as he wants to hate this new family he can’t help but crave the affection they provide, the warmth and comfort , that his parents never could. As much as Tim would miss being Robin he had Mari and that was enough. Who knows maybe he’d go back to the Life later on in life?

Jess was excited to reunite with her fellow Guardian only... things were different with the Parisians? She couldn’t really explain it but it seemed strange that the students were adorned with symbols; Red Hearts, Yellow Diamonds, Green Clovers and Blue Spades. What did this all mean and why were those without them ostracized? Was this also why Marinette seemed to have a whole wardrobe change and was now friends with mean girl Chloe?

Well it was up to Jess and reluctantly Damian to find out what was the root of the problem alongside sunshine duo Jon and Aeon, also known as the Seasonal Court while also trying to figure out how to offer their help with the Hawkmoth situation.

As they’d learn the Akuma took them to their soulmates. Journey as these teen caped and non-caped crusaders learn about their ‘soulmates’ and about themselves. All in the name of Love.

Done being a perfect example and ready to start anew. Gone was Marinette Dupain-Cheng, here comes Marinette Wayne!

Tim on the other hand notices the imbalance of the world; the way certain creatures’ populations have significantly dwindled down, the way the magic users have been losing power, the increase of natural disasters and sudden reappearance of what they believed to be Trixx’s original temple... He can’t help but hope. Hope to regain his brother and fellow heroes, to bring back hope and restore the world’s balance. After encounters with others in the community he realizes that he’s not the only one that noticed. Now all he needs to do is convince the others that he’s not in denial and isn’t embarking some fruitless endeavor. Well no one said it’d be easy to enter the In-Between

okay so the hate on photorealism in video games is kinda goofy to me ngl. like, its fine to have a preference for stylized visuals (i definitely do!), but a game is not Better for it just on the face of it

and like, as a webbed site of creatives, are NONE of u interested in the mechanics of developing a photorealistic experience?? like the process of looking at something in real life and recreating it through art as closely to real life as possible isnt fascinating?? motion capture is sick as hell, especially because its not 2011 anymore and we dont have quantic dream/heavy rain as like the Peak of what mocap is capable of. supermassive i think does a good job with their realism. until dawn has some goofiness with how big the expressions needed to be for the mocap to work, and there are parts where u can Tell it was animated manually, poorly (joshs mental break in the mines... there are parts that are kinda oof), but otherwise overall it still looks pretty damn good to me! and brenda song in the quarry is like, there are moments where i feel like i am actually looking at the real life brenda song (particularly when shes in the car at the junkyard and screaming for dylan to get the damn werewolf off the car, that moment in specific looks Incredible to me)

and thats just people. developing accurate to real life physics/visuals for objects and like grass and water and stuff, does it not enchant yall to know that somebody, a team, whatever, had to meticulously plan that and build it? and even if its not absolutely indistinguishable from real life, isnt it cool how good it Does look? i feel like people say shit like 'its a video game i know what im looking at isnt real, why do they even try' and its like Fucking Duh, we all know that, the devs know that, but they do it because its COOL. and also sometimes maybe it fits the tone of the story or the play experience Better than stylization, idk

im not trying to say that stylization is less work than photorealism, but i also dont think the opposite is true, either. i dont think photorealism is less work than stylization. it ALL depends on manpower from artists that are passionate about their craft.

and again, as a webbed site of artists, i find it strange to bash photorealism and say its worse than stylization at all. like would any of u say half the shit u say about photorealistic games to a painter that works with photorealism? i dont think u would, because u understand that a painter is still responsible. a human artist created that. to me its the same with photorealistic games, people still have to design and model and code and animate all dat shit, and it has just as much opportunity to be impressive and impactful as a stylized game does

Regarding the Quantic Kids

The Quantics Kids were first introduced during the early stages of Miraculous Ladybug. They were supposed to be a group of young superheroes that Ladybug and Chat Noir were a part of. They consisted of Sparrow, Melodie, and Mercury, and later on into development, Gavroche was added into the team, and Mercury was replaced with Kid Mime. It was a request by a producer to help sell the show to viewers, but sadly, the idea was soon dropped, and we were left with only the main duo.

However, as shown in "Heroes’ Day”, Ladybug and Chat Noir formed a team together with Rena Rouge, Carapace, and Queen Bee for a brief time, thus forming the original Miraculous Team, or Miraculous Heroes as I call them. Throughout seasons three and four, the Miraculous Team slowly grew from five members to 18 members, many of them being Marinette’s classmates, and to be honest, I really wish they could have kept them as the original five (reminds me a whole lot of Power Rangers). Then in “Miraculous New York”, two characters, Sparrow and Mercury, were reused, one being a young sidekick to Nightowl, and the other being an adult member of the United Heroez (I wish they didn’t call them that).

Now, I’m only an observer of Miraculous Ladybug. I didn’t watch the show, only observe it through clips, reviews, fan art, and fanfiction. I’m kind of like a bystander. But, I’m working on a fan concept of the show, not necessarily a rewrite, but rather a PV-inspired reimagining, titled Miraculous Heroes. I just want to see if I could revise it into a full-on superhero story, where there’s lots of super activity and fantastical activity happening across the Earth. I also want to explore more with Bridgette and Félix’s struggle with juggling between their civilian identities and superhero identities. I also want to add in more supervillains other than Hawkmoth, and while I’m reusing some of the akumatized villains (i.e. the Mime, M. Pigeon, Style Queen), I also want to rewrite them into non-akumatized villains, like in the PV. There are so many things I want to do with this concept.

Now, let’s get to to elephant in the room. Right now, I’m stuck between having to reuse the Quantic Kids concept or reuse the Miraculous Five concept. On one hand, I’m reusing Bridgette and Félix, so it’s fair to bring back the original team they were supposed to be a part of. Maybe the Quantic Kids were supposed to be a new superhero team to introduce to the public before Ladybug and Chat Noir. Plus, I feel like there should have been only two miraculous charms, or at least seven miraculous charms like earlier in the show. Another thing, I also want to add in new superheroes and antiheroes by reusing the young akumatized villains from the show (i.e. Lady Wifi, Riposte, Antibug, DJ Bubbler, Dark Cupid, Timebreaker, Gamemaster, Princess Fragrance, Reflekta) and revise them a little. For example, Riposte is now a liquid silver superhero hailing from a family of mystical warriors, and Reflekta is also made of liquid metal now, and is able to create portals out of mirrors like Mirror Master. Note how I said that Riposte and Reflekta are two liquid metal superheroes. I’m gonna either get to that later, or I need to revise Reflekta’s abilities.

On the other hand, I also want to explore the original Miraculous team and flesh out their dynamics and interactions with each other, especially with Rena Rouge and Carapace’s unexplored dynamic. With that in mind, I also want to flesh out Master Fu’s role as mentor to the team. I really think he should have been a good mentor not only to Marinette, but to Adrien and the other team members, other than just hanging out in his garden and being all Zen-like. Perhaps after Hawkmoth and Mayura are dealt with, the new holders of the butterfly charm and peacock charm respectively would either become new superheroes or new supervillains, the former choice leading them to become new members of the Miraculous team, and the latter choice indicating them to become the former villains’ successors. Maybe they’ll become superheroes, and the team would probably have to face off against a greater threat than Hawkmoth, perhaps either an imprisoned force of evil or a fully accomplished supervillain who’s also seeking the charms.

I could use the Miraculous Five concept and Quantic Kids concept altogether, however. Perhaps the Miraculous Five would serve as the main heroes in Paris, working together to take down Hawkmoth and his numerous allies, while the Quantic Kids would serve as the main heroes in New York. Remember the United Heroez (I’m just gonna call them the Union of Superheroes)? Well, what if Sparrow forms a group of young superheroes on her own, similar to Robin with the Teen Titans? Perhaps the Quantic Kids would still exist outside the events of Miraculous Heroes, taking care of the supervillain activity in New York in the mean time. Not only do the original members (Sparrow, Melodie, Mercury, Kid Mime, Gavroche) return, but so will Uncanny Valley (who definitely deserves a redesign). I’m also including Zoé Lee in the team, who not only needs a new superhero persona (right now, I’m thinking of a copper-based superhero), but also desperately needs a character revitalization. Maybe she could be Chloé’s rival in regards to both of them being daughters of big names in the fashion industry; I also want to rename her as Zoé Deschanel.

So, what do you guys think? Should it be the Quantic Kids concept, Miraculous Five concept, or both concepts altogether? In the mean time, I’ll go on and flesh out the story, or at least I’ll try to, considering that I had came up with numerous fan concepts.
