nano day 13
total word count: 1197
almost done with scene 8! It went a lot better than I expected so I’m content with the progress even if I didn’t get to write as much as I would’ve liked. Though that limited writing is more due to not having time than struggling with words lol if it’s not one it’s the other unfortunately .—.
but hopefully I carry this energy into tomorrow’s writing session :D

I have this idea floating around in my brain for a while about a reader who likes to draw and because they have a crush on Jax they draw him. Jax eventually steals their notebook and probably teases them about it lol.
Tumblr media
Jax x Crushing!Reader
warning(s): innuendos, bullying/teasing, Jax note(s): Look it's me and Jax, there's gonna be innuendos or some spicy wording and bullying. It's like a packaged deal or something. A/N: If you see me mixing Angel Dust's speech into Jax, no you didn't. If you didn't notice, I don't know how to tease and not be an asshole, so pretty on the brand I guess.
Caine had given you a sketchbook upon request, it was a little different than an actual sketchbook but it did the job regardless. Ever since your arrival, your fingers have been itching to draw, there were so many new sights and so much new inspiration.
There were so many things, so why did it seem like the doodles of Jax ended up on almost every page?
Easy, you had a crush on the apathetic, mischievous jerk named Jax.
Why? Well, now that’s the million-dollar question. He’s not inherently awful, no, that’s a lie, he’s an asshole. You don’t really have a good read on him yet but he’s funny! That’s gotta be redeemable, right? However, his jokes are usually backhanded and often involve being mean at the expense of others.
Okay so he’s a walking red flag but there’s something about him that has you crushing on the purple bastard.
Looking down at the sketchbook on your lap shows another two pages filled with sketches of random things, though most of the page is filled with Jax. You had taken to sketching things back in the real world to remind yourself of home, but eventually, those sketches would involve Jax doing mundane things.
Thing’s like sitting at a table eating real food, though you took creative measures when drawing an open mouth on him, it still looked off but it was serene and domestic. Then there’s the little sketch at the bottom of the page of Jax leaning against a window and staring outside. You’d manage to nab the pose and angle when he was leaning against one of the many random geometrical-shaped things in the main room and later added in a window.
It was embarrassing that almost more than half of the pages in the book involved Jax to some degree. Some pages weren’t even subtle, the whole page taking up a detailed portrait version of the male. Sometimes you even got creative and put him in different clothing.
Thumbing through the pages you saw there weren’t that many empty pages left. You’d need to ask Caine for another one and figure out what to do with this one. It couldn’t be left out in the open, you knew Jax had keys to everyone’s room and wouldn’t put it past him to go snooping. He’d already questioned you about the sketchbook before.
You’d been so focused on the sketchbook that you hadn’t noticed the man of the hour walking up. Jax noticed your intense focus and peeked over to see the infamous sketchbook on your lap, and with practiced ease managed to yoink it right off your lap.
“Well, well, well, what do we have here? You finally showing me what you keep your nose buried into?”
A yelp left you, stumbling to get on your feet you rushed to him and began swatting at the book and of course, he’d keep raising it just out of reach. “You took it! I didn’t say you could look at that!”
“Nah, pretty sure you said I could look at it.” He continued to lower and raise the book as you jumped to grab it. Sure he was curious before, but with a reaction like that? How could he not be even more curious? What kind of seedy shit were you drawing? Or perhaps some spicy nonfamily-friendly content?
Jax ignored your frantic words and opened the book to a random page, he was going to tease you about whatever dumb stuff you drew since you always had your nose in it but all he saw were sketches of himself.
A normal person might get embarrassed and hand the book back, but he’s not a normal person. It’s a little freaky, he won’t lie. A glance downwards shows him you’ve gone silent in front of him, simply staring down while he invades the privacy that was your sketchbook.
Your face is red and you look like you’re going to cry any second.
He’s a jerk, he was going to fuck with you, and he still is, but for the moment he’s taking in all the creative little pieces involving his face. Ya know, he never really thought much about how he’d look in other clothes. Gotta say he looks pretty snazzy in something that isn’t these shitty overalls.
“You know if I didn’t know any better,” his fingers still flip through the pages as he steps closer, circling you. “I’d say you like me.”
“I don’t.”
The reply is rushed and he rolls his eyes at the blatant lie, he’ll humor you this time. “Oh yeah? Does that mean you’ve got sketchbooks for everyone else too? Cause I’m pretty sure this is the only one I’ve seen you with.” He taps a doodle on the cover that gives away it’s the same notebook he always sees you with.
Tears trickled down your cheeks, you knew he was a jerk but this felt like too much. You just wanted your sketchbook back and to run away to your room, maybe pin something in front of the door that would render even the key useless.
His eyes roll the second he sees a tear, he’s not really seeing the problem here. You’ve got a book full of creepy—okay not completely creepy, he’s a good model so good on you for seeing that—sketches of him and he’s truthfully honored. It’s clear that you didn’t do this with everyone, so he’s honored to be your little model. Besides, it’s not like you actually have a crush on him, right?
Minutes tick by of him simply eyeing you, you’re still crying and it’s starting to get a little ugly and snotty, ugh. But you aren’t trying to further deny his little comment about you liking him. He’ll have to have a little talk about that later, what you could possibly see in him because he knows that you aren’t a sadist—oh, are you a masochist? That’d explain a lot.
Jax sighs and closes the book but doesn’t hand it over, simply putting the free hand on his hip. “You know if you wanted to see my face all you gotta do is ask. I’ll gladly show you this handsome face any day toots.”
Of all the things you thought he’d say, that wasn’t it. “H-huh..?” You embarrassingly wipe away the tears and snot before looking up at him.
“You heard me. Ya know I love this face too, very handsome. Maybe we can get Caine to put up some artwork in the tent of yours truly.” Jax wouldn’t consider himself vain, but you did have a way of making him look more, dare he say, attractive.
“I-I don’t… I don’t understand…” Was he still making fun of you?
He rolls his eyes before playfully hitting your head with the book. “Jeez, and here I thought you were smart.” Jax leaned over like he was speaking to a child and pushed the book to your chest. “I’m saying, the next time you wanna draw me I’ll give you a front-row seat. Maybe even take it to the bedroom so we won’t be disturbed.”
You push the book into his face to cover up that growing smirk and blush furiously. “Wh-what?! N-no I-I don’t…!” It’s hard to tell if he’s being serious or not in his offer to model for you, especially with the bedroom comment.
“C’mon, clearly you got taste. I mean that book is filled with sketches of me. I’ll commend you on your immaculate taste.” Jax taps the book before playfully bopping your nose. “At least let me give you the pleasure of seeing me close up. I’ve never been a model before so you might have to get a little hands-on to get me the way you want me.”
As the innuendos continue your face feels like it’s getting impossibly red and warm. Somehow this is worse than him telling you a sketchbook full of his face is creepy, in fact, you’d almost prefer it because your poor little heart can’t take anymore. You let out a yell and it stops his tangent but that stupid smirk of his never disappears.
“Offer still stands. You know where to find me.” Jax turns away but not before throwing a little wink over his shoulder. He still plans on pestering you about what you see in him, but for now, he’ll cut you some slack. You’re about as red as Ragatha’s hair and as much as he loves to see it, he didn’t plan to get this sidetracked when he saw you on your own.
He’s got a sucker to prank.

SMOKER ON THE BALCONY — “Hello again, gendarme.” He smiles at you— not from his usual post, but from one of the cafeteria tables. A small sketchbook is laid out in front of him, along with some odd gray sticks.
ENCYCLOPEDIA — Compressed graphite. Not quite as bold or blendable as charcoal, but certainly less messy.
EMPATHY — Garte will appreciate it.
“I’d like to talk about the case again.”
“You moved! I didn’t know you could do that.”
“What are you drawing?”
SMOKER ON THE BALCONY — “That’s the question, isn’t it?” His smile turns a little rueful. “I found one of my old sketchbooks and thought I’d like to fill the last few empty pages, but I’m finding myself a little… uninspired.”
CONCEPTUALIZATION — The accursed artist’s block. Staring down an empty page only for it to stare back, mocking you.
EMPATHY — He is unsure of himself. He said this was an old sketchbook. Maybe he’s afraid of drawing something new beside his old work and seeing that nothing has changed.
“Ah, yes. Artist’s block. I know it well. In fact, I don’t know when the last time that I actually *made* any art was.”
“You could draw the cafeteria.”
“You could draw one of the other diners.”
SMOKER ON THE BALCONY — “A life drawing exercise, huh? And who would you pick as a subject, gendarme?”
“I don’t know. You’re the artist.”
“Maybe Garte? The skua could be a fun challenge.”
“You should draw the guy with the wig and sunglasses over there. He looks pretty funny.”
“Lena! She’d probably love to model for you. It would take her mind off things.”
“Kim, how about you pose for him?”
[Suggestion - Medium 10] “Why not me?”
KIM KITSURAGI — “No.”
He has nothing more to say on the matter.
“Aw, why not? You’d make a great model!”
Let it go.
KIM KITSURAGI — “I do not get paid to model for portraits. I get paid to solve murders. Such as the one we came here to investigate. Several days ago. Which has not been solved yet, for some mysterious reason.”
ESPIRIT DE CORPS — In case you couldn’t tell, that was sarcasm.
“Come on, Kim. You’re the perfect subject! A true man of the people. And there’s this sort of radiance about you… I can see the portrait already, just looking at you. Really clearly, actually.”
Maybe don’t say that. He’s just not gonna get it.
SMOKER ON THE BALCONY — He shrugs. “Sorry, gendarme. It’s not right to use someone’s image without permission, you know? Maybe some other time.”
KIM KITSURAGI — “No.” And then, a little awkwardly, “But thank you.”
“I don’t know. You’re the artist.”
“How about Garte? Though, you’d have to draw the skua, too…”
“You should draw the guy with the wig and sunglasses over there. He looks pretty funny.”
“Lena! She’d probably love to model for you. It would take her mind off things.”
“Kim, how about you pose for him?”
[Suggestion - Medium 10] “Why not me?”
CHECK SUCCESS
YOU — “Why not me?”
SMOKER ON THE BALCONY — He considers you with some amusement, but still, he does consider. “You’re not too busy?”
“On second thought, you’re right, I have some work to do right now. Another time, maybe?”
“Nope. Not at all.”
KIM KITSURAGI — The lieutenant sighs audibly.
ESPIRIT DE CORPS — What did I *just* say?
SMOKER ON THE BALCONY — He chuckles to himself, apparently quite tickled by the little comedy act you two are making of yourselves. “Beautiful. Why not? Have a seat. I’ll try not to keep you too long.”
KIM KITSURAGI — “Much appreciated,” he says drily.
YOU — [Take a seat.]
SAVOIR FAIRE — Time to strike a pose. Let’s go with something cool. Something that really captures what you’re all about.
ENDURANCE — But make sure it’s something that you’ll be able to hold comfortably.
Wink and shoot him your signature finger guns.
Look at him with big sad eyes like a shamed puppy.
Look thoughtfully into the middle distance, as if contemplating your own future masterpiece.
Stare straight at him with eyes that have seen how this world will end.
Hold your head up high. With *honor.*
Just sit and act natural. No need to put on airs.
SMOKER ON THE BALCONY — He looks you up and down, thumbing his bottom lip. His eyes look brighter and more alert than you have ever seen them. And then, he picks up his graphite and begins to work.
His eyes dart between you and the page, his hand sweeping across the page in bold, practiced strokes. All traces of his earlier hesitation have vanished.
VOLITION — Sometimes, a little push is all we need.
SMOKER ON THE BALCONY — Every now and then, he pauses to look up at you, and it’s almost unnerving to be the subject of whatever calculations are going on behind his eyes. He holds out his graphite, squinting just slightly.
VISUAL CALCULUS — This is called sighting. He’s roughly measuring the relative proportions of your figure and checking them against his sketch.
KIM KITSURAGI — Even the lieutenant is watching now, interested in spite of himself.
“Are portraits your specialty?”
“Have you been drawing anything for school lately?”
Better not distract him.
SMOKER ON THE BALCONY — “Hmm…” He ponders this for a moment, not looking up from his work. “Not exactly. I’m more interested in the graphic arts than this sort of thing. But it’s best to build a strong foundation before branching out, you know?”
YOU — “Graphic arts? Like what?”
SMOKER ON THE BALCONY — “Printmaking.” A small smile tugs at the corner of his mouth as he speaks, seemingly without him even noticing. “Monotype, especially.”
ENCYCLOPEDIA — Monotype is a printmaking technique that is singular from other techniques, in that it produces only *one* unique print, rather than an edition of multiple prints.
YOU — What, really? What’s the point of printing it, then?
ENCYCLOPEDIA — I don’t know. I didn’t invent it.
“Why monotype? Wouldn’t a different technique be more… practical?”
“I see.” [Drop the subject.]
SMOKER ON THE BALCONY — He shrugs slightly, smudging a bit of graphite with a bare finger. “Depends on how you define practical, I suppose. If I had my own studio, and I was selling my prints, then maybe. But we make do with what we have, gendarme.”
EMPATHY — And what he has is very little.
SMOKER ON THE BALCONY — “Besides, I think monotype has its charms.”
The young man does not elaborate, instead focusing on the work at hand. He picks up an eraser that has been shaved down to a point for fine detail work, and begins on what are likely the finishing touches.
EMPATHY — He has already talked at uncharacteristic length about this. It’s making him a little uncomfortable.
SAVOIR FAIRE — He doesn’t like to share too much about himself because it makes him feel *uncool.* He prefers to maintain an air of mystery.
RHETORIC — It’s safer, too, that way. He’s learned that passion exists to be exploited. False promises and admiration are the offerings of Sunday friends.
“If you say so.” [Back off.]
“What kind of charms?” [Press on.]
SMOKER ON THE BALCONY — His eyes flit back to you, sizing you up now in a different way. And then he looks back down at the page with a quiet bre ath.
“Well, it doesn’t take as much time or labor as other methods. Or expensive tools, or dangerous chemicals. Just paper, a plate, ink, and something to apply it with. And I can use the same plate over and over again, even use it to create different layers for the same print.”
RHETORIC — In other words, it’s cheap and can be done from home. An attractive option.
SMOKER ON THE BALCONY — “And with monotype, it’s not so hard to go back and change your mind. You can start over as many times as you’d like, right up until the moment you lay the page on the plate.”
INLAND EMPIRE — That really does sound attractive. To be able to wipe the slate clean, over and over again…
SMOKER ON THE BALCONY — “There aren’t as many limits on what kind of textures you can create, too. Brushstrokes and fingerprints… They can really come out beautiful.”
His brow creases a little, and he picks his graphite back up to rework a particular area.
DRAMA — He’s still holding out on you, sire. Too self-conscious to admit what he really likes about the medium.
YOU — Which is what?
EMPATHY — Fragility.
CONCEPTUALIZATION — An image which is only complete after being mirrored and translated, never to be recreated except as a ghostly afterimage. An exercise in surrendering to chance. What will be, will be. And then the moment will pass, and it will be time to start the next piece.
VOLITION — This man knows disappointment intimately. It is his closest companion. He has learned to make peace with it. He passes the time with his Sunday friends, lays his paper on the plate and hopes, despite himself, for the best.
YOU — Is that… a good thing?
VOLITION — …It’s hard to say. But we make do with what we have.
SMOKER ON THE BALCONY — “There.” The young man sits up straight, and it’s only now that you realize just how close he brought himself to his work.
DRAMA — His face may not betray him, but the body does not lie. He was having *fun,* my liege.
SMOKER ON THE BALCONY — “All done.” He tears the page from his book and holds it out to you with a small smile.
ITEM GAINED: Portrait of a Disco Holdover
SMOKER ON THE BALCONY — “Hope I didn’t keep you too long.”
KIM KITSURAGI — “Don’t worry about it,” Kim says, rather resignedly.
ESPIRIT DE CORPS — If you’d declined, the lieutenant thinks, my partner would have just found some other way to get sidetracked.
KIM KITSURAGI — Still, he cannot stop himself from glancing at the portrait over your shoulder.
PORTRAIT OF A DISCO HOLDOVER — It’s you! Unfortunately. Not even the most masterful hand could make the Expression less unsettling to look at. Your posture is poor, your face is swollen and blotchy, your hair is thinning, your clothes are shabby and out of place… I could go on.
Oh god, you could?
Please don’t.
PORTRAIT OF A DISCO HOLDOVER — But, you know… it’s nice. The smoker’s technique is bold and rather lovely, broad strokes of graphite intersecting in just the right places to create surprising depths. Somehow, even though it’s you… it’s not hideous.
EMPATHY — Because you’re seeing yourself through another person’s eyes.
CONCEPTUALIZATION — There is an odd tenderness to the portrait. Something amusing in your grimace, a touch of sympathy in your hunched shoulders. With the eraser, he has lifted small spots of pigment from your face, as if it were illuminated by flecks of light from the karaoke disco ball.
There are no disco lights tonight, but still, he sees them when he looks at you. Your moment has passed, but it left quite the impression. A ghost print, superimposed over you.
“Not bad, but the bicep girth is off. Right, Kim?”
“Oh god, is that really what I look like?”
“Hmm. It’s okay, but you should consider a backup career plan.”
“Whoa, you’re amazing! Can you draw me again, but this time in the costume from the cover of Man from Hjelmdall and the Devil Woman? And like, with a really cool warhammer? And Queen Lydiaana standing in the background, all like, ‘boohoo, where will I ever find another man like Ha— I mean, the Man from Hjelmdall?’”
“Beautiful.”
SMOKER ON THE BALCONY — His smile climbs up into the corners of his eyes, warming his entire countenance.
CONCEPTUALIZATION — If you were to capture a portrait of him in this moment, it would be beautiful, too.

Lovely Jade maybe you could write something about Roan finding a kitten on the street and hiding it in her backpack
🧡.
thank you so much for your request! eddie and roan —roan's acting suspicious. you and eddie investigate. stepmom!reader, 1.5k.
Roan comes in through the front door with a sweet smile. Living in your cul-de-sac has meant you don't mind too much if she wants to go out to play alone, where before Eddie would insist on sitting on the porch of the trailer, worried someone would come barrelling down the road seventy miles an hour.
"Hi, princess," you say, leaning down with your arms propped on the counter. You're putting the finishing touches on a drawing using the sunshine. Nothing special, just a sketch for fun.
"Hey, mommy."
You preen at the title. Being a stepmom is awesome, especially when she feels comfortable enough to call you mom. "Is it home time for Georgia?"
"Yeah, she's gone home for dinner."
"Are you hungry? Daddy's still at Uncle Gareth's, so I'm in charge of food."
You turn around when you get no answer, waving your pencil at an empty kitchen. "Roan?"
"I'm coming back!" She shouts from the top of the stairs.
You raise your eyebrows. "Okay!" you shout back. "I get to choose dinner, then? What's that, you want chicken pot pie?" You smile. Eddie loves chicken pot pie, especially when you make it.
You put your sketchbook and pencil case on the kitchen table and spray down the countertops. The motions of cooking are well worn now; you know how to make every recipe for two and a half people. You wash your hands, grab the canned puff pastry, and get to work.
Roan appears again as you're spreading a little bit of flour over the counter, running to the sink. She kicks her stepping stool to the counter and climbs up to wash her hands. She looks cagey.
"Anything I should know about?" you ask.
Roan squirts dish detergent into her palm, strawberry scented rivulets running between her little fingers before she's had time to rub it in. You set aside your rolling pin and pick up the soap to put a small dollop of it in her other hand.
"Say?" you ask, stroking her bedraggled hair away from her face.
"Nothing for you to know about."
You turn her head to yours, water spitting at your shirts as she washes her hands hurriedly. "Hey." You frown, gaze narrowing on a bloody scratch that's caught the bottom of her right cheek. "Aw, bubby, what happened?"
"It doesn't hurt," Roan says flippantly.
"You're gonna have to let me wipe it clean, still. Okay?"
"Yeah, mommy. Whatever you want."
You bite the inside of your bottom lip to tamp down an embarrassingly huge smile. "Okay. Good girl on the hand washing, you gonna help me make dinner, huh?" You kiss the top of her head. "I'm so lucky, my girl's so helpful."
"Can I go get changed first?" she asks.
"Yeah, bub. Want help?"
"No!" she shouts hopping down off of stool. She'll probably have to wash her hands again when she returns, but you're too happy to care. She's gorgeous, she's a sweetheart, and she loves you like a mom.
You turn back to the pastry and roll out the bottom of the pie. You'll refrigerate it while you make the chicken filling and the roux. Which one to make first? You might have done things in the wrong order.
"Ro, are you almost done?" you shout, blinking back to attention. "Let me look at that scratch, babe!"
Arms around your waist. You thought you heard the door.
"What scratch?" Eddie asks, dipping his face down to the juncture of your neck, where he plants a warm kiss.
"On her cheek. I let her go out with Georgia, I hope that's okay. Only in our street."
"That's okay," he assures you. He hugs you with kind arms, not squeezing like he tends to, completely and utterly loving. You can't hug him while your hands are covered in flour, leaning back instead to soak in all his affection. "What's the scratch from?"
"Yet to be determined."
Eddie hums and holds you. You cave in to dirtying him, painting his forearm with white fingerprints as you hug it to your ribs. You let your head flop back, tickled by his exhales where they kiss your neck.
You and Eddie stand there in quiet bliss. Then, from upstairs, you hear a strange sound.
"Is Roan back in her cat phase?"
Eddie tilts his head away from you. His hand retreats from your abdomen where it'd been resting, braced on your hips. "Ro…" He groans. "Not again."
"Eddie?"
He takes your hand. "She has a cat in her room."
The meows become clearer the further Eddie leads you up the stairs. You wipe as much of the flour on your hands onto your pyjama pants as you can, but it's a mess. Eddie can't complain —how often does he get car grease on you?
"Roan Ayla Munson," Eddie says through the closed door. "I better not find anything in there that I'm not supposed to."
You startle at the use of her middle name. You didn't even know Roan had a middle name until a couple of months ago; you always thought Eddie skipped giving her one. Apparently he thought Ayla was the same as Aella, an Amazonian fighter who wielded twin axes. Ayla, in contrast, means a few things. Bringer of light, in Finnish. Circle of light around the moon, in Turkish. Oak tree, in original Hebrew. You love all three definitions, but bringer of light feels most accurate.
Bringer of cats might be more astute at the moment.
"I don't have anything, daddy!"
Meow.
"I think you're lying to me. Last chance, bubby."
A vehement shushing noise, a meow, and a defeated sigh sound through the door. Weight hits the floor, footsteps creeping closer. You and Eddie wait in apparently very different moods for her to open the door.
Roan holds a wriggling kitten in her small hands. She's wearing a nightgown over her sweatpants like she'd started changing and forgotten. Her arms are covered in red scratches. The kitten yowls when it sees you and Eddie, likely finding you both to be more intimidating than your poor girl.
"Oh, babe," you fret breathlessly, "Eddie, take the cat."
"Dad–" Roan starts.
"Look at your arms," he interrupts with a tandem worry, taking the kitten from her.
You pick Roan up with ease, careful not to touch her pale arms. She tries to explain herself as you carry her down the stairs, "I found her behind Old Man Michael's house, she looked so sad and you said we should be nice to everything we meet, even if we don't like the way they look," she says.
"I meant about spiders and ants and stuff," Eddie says, holding the angry cat in front of his chest cautiously. "You know, we don't have to kill little creatures if we don't have to. I didn't mean you should kidnap kittens."
"She looked hungry."
You put Roan on the clean bit of counter between the stove and the sink and frown at her arms. "Sweetheart," you murmur sympathetically, "don't these hurt?"
"Well, I…"
You shoot Eddie a look. He stares the kitten in the eyes rather than meet your own, seemingly distracted. Fine, you'll try parent by yourself, even if you're no expert yet.
"What?" you ask patiently.
"I was hiding her in my backpack, but she didn't like it. She thinks it's too small."
"I bet so." You're thinking, Eddie, what are we gonna do? And, Ouch, these are going to hurt. "Ro, is this how you got the scratch on your cheek? You're lucky he didn't scratch you in the eye."
"I think he's a girl," Roan says.
This is less important to you than the scratches, but you amend yourself anyways. "She could've blinded you."
"I think you're in trouble, Ro. We already talked about this before, didn't we? No stray cats in the house," Eddie says.
"I already told you, dad! Rufus and Steve let themselves in, I didn't used to do that."
You wash your hands swiftly and grab the first aid kit from under the sink, pulling out the blue disinfectant spray that Roan hates. She winces at the sight of it as you expected, pulling her arms against her tummy.
"It won't hurt anymore than the scratches did when the kitten did them," you say gently.
Roan shakes her head.
You put the disinfectant between her knees and lean in. "I'll make daddy make cookies, yeah? You be brave and let me clean your scratches and we'll have warm cookies and ice cream."
Eddie breaks out of his stare off, taken aback. "It's her own fault," he says, though he's smiling.
"She was trying to do a good thing. And look at her little arms, Eds, hasn't she been punished enough?" you ask.
The kitten kicks its legs weakly. "What the heck are we gonna do with her?" Eddie asks.
"We could keep her," Roan says.
"Don't push your luck, Roro."
You lift the disinfectant spray. Roan seems apprehensive still, so you look her head on and wink. "I'll try my best," you whisper.
Roan holds out her arms with a grin.

SKZ walking in on the Reader masturbating
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
cws: gender neutral reader, mention of toys used during masturbation (minho), filming (changbin), drawing someone while their masturbating (hyunjin), mutual masturbation (seungmin, jeongin)
Tumblr media
Chan: Is immediately flustered and curses himself for not knocking before he gets in. He walks out of the room, slamming the door a bit too hard, startling you. Talk of killing the mood. After you‘re finished or gave up because you were no longer in the mood he talks to you about what is okay for him to do in such a situation. „I don‘t mind helping you next time if you want me to.“
Minho: Will smile widely when walks in on you. He probably heard you through the door so he knows exactly what is happening on the inside. „Don‘t you want something better than this sad little toy?“ Oh and better he is. And half an hour of solo fun turns into multiple hours of fucking. Asks you to text him next time so he can come home a bit earlier.
Changbin: Gets shy when he sees you and walks straight back out. But just a couple of seconds of seeing you like this already turned him on so much. Has a wank of shame later. And the day after. And the week after. He just can‘t stop the image of you pleasuring yourself from hunting him. Will ask you to film yourself the next time you masturbate, starting a whole collection of videos on his phone. „Just for when I can‘t have you by my side.“
Hyunjin: When he sees you in such a position, something in his mind just halts, he has finally found inspiration for his next painting. Asks you to keep doing so he can draw you. If you agree he is gonna sit by your side watching how your face moves, how you blush, how shudder when you cum. Keeps on asking for just one more orgasm so he has more references. When he is done and several pages of his special sketchbook are filled he will thank you with his mouth. „Thank you for doing this for me my beautiful muse“
Jisung: Jisung doesn‘t realize what you are doing when he walks into the room. He had a long day and just really needs to rant. How the vending machine at the studio was broken, how the music software crashed two times, he got stuck for hours on the same part of the song, how it rained on the way home and he forgot his umbrella. When he realizes what you were up to he just stares at you for a bit. And you just stare back. „When you‘re already at it… wanna fuck?“ Laughs about it later and promises to check if you're masturbating before he starts ranting next time.
Felix: Our baby gets so shy when he walks in on you. Starts to frantically swear in English while covering his eyes instead of walking out, face dark red. Then starts apologizing, still standing there with his eyes covered. When he finally realizes that he should probably leave you alone he hits his foot on the doorway. „Just tell me when you‘re finished!“ When he‘s outside he realizes that the situation has him pretty aroused which makes him blush again.
Seungmin: „I don‘t mind. Keep going.“ If you don‘t ask him to leave he will just stay to watch. After some time he starts rubbing his bulge through his pants, his eyes roaming your body and flushed face. Praises you softly for being so pretty for him. Will keep the eye contact going as you both cum. After that mutual masturbation will become your guys’ normal reaction to walking in on each other.
Jeongin: Another shy baby. But he just can't take his eyes away from you, you look so good while satisfying yourself. When he finally runs out of the room he has such a hard boner. He wasn’t aware that watching you masturbate would be such a turn-on for him. Will ask you later if he could watch you making yourself cum, which will lead to mutual masturbation. „I just want to see you feeling good.“

Across The Room
Pairing: Eddie Munson x Female Reader
Synopsis: Eddie finally gets to talk to the girl that he can't stop looking at.
Word count: 1.9k
Warnings: fluff!
A/N: I might already have a second part planned for this... Let's take this great amount of activity as my belated one-year anniversary present for this account!
Part 2 is out now Part 3 is also out!
Tumblr media
There was something about the girl sitting on the other side of the cafeteria that seemed to pull Eddie's gaze to her, like an opposite pole of a magnet would do. Her shoulders were usually slightly slouched, her eyes too occupied by the notebook he never saw her without. He'd never actually heard her talk, but from the way her lips moved, he'd bet his life on it being the most gorgeous sound one could be blessed to hear.
One time he had passed her in the hall, her head buried in a textbook. Dustin had been talking about their D&D campaign, but one word went in one ear and out the other, the boy too occupied with the smell of daisies that lingered when she passed by. He'd never really liked flowery scents, but after that, whenever he saw daisies, he couldn't help but smile.
He'd never admit it, but her smile was his favorite thing in the world. Whenever he saw her smile, he'd keep wondering what she was smiling over, wishing that he could be the one who made her smile.
Of course, she never saw him. But he desperately wished she did.
You were surrounded by your friends, half-heartedly listening to them talk about a movie that had just come out that they were excited to go see. Your neck had started to hurt from straining it, holding up the sketchbook in your lap, prepared to hide it from anyone that passed by.
There he was, sitting in the same spot he always sat at, on the other side of the cafeteria, talking to his friends. When he threw a cashew at one of his friends with a playful grin on his face, you chuckled to yourself quietly, trying to commit the image to your memory.
Looking down at your sketchbook, you smiled at the unfinished drawing of him, still in the middle of sketching his curly hair, and when he stood up, the light coming from the windows behind him made him look... ethereal.
Of course, he never saw you. But you desperately wished he did.
History was one of your strongest subjects, and when Mrs. Click had asked for volunteers to tutor other students, you'd been the first to sign up, but it had been so long, that you had already forgotten all about it until your teacher had asked you to stay after class.
"I saw that you'd signed up to tutor some other students." Mrs. Click said, not looking up from the tests that she was marking. "Are you still free?"
The thought of tutoring students wasn't exactly appealing to you, already dealing with piles of homework and starting essays to apply for colleges, but when she looked up at you with a demanding look, you couldn't help but nod. "Yes, of course."
"Great." She said, looking back down at her desk, "Your first lesson is with a repeating student, at three. I've reserved the library for your lesson, and you can agree with him on later lessons. That'll be all."
"Great." You muttered under your breath as soon as you got out of her classroom, internally cursing yourself for ever signing up.
"Look, Dustin, I have to do it or Click's gonna fail me again."
"Can't you do it any other day?" Dustin groaned, looking up at Eddie as he tried to keep up with his long strides. "I mean, we've been planning this campaign for weeks and we're supposed to start it today."
"I know, and we're going to. I just need to do this stupid tutoring thing, and as soon as it's over we'll start. It's probably like two hours, max. Tell the rest of Hellfire that I'll be there as soon as I can."
"We can just start without you."
"Don't you dare, Henderson." Eddie said, turning to Dustin with a pointed finger and raised brows. "I'll be there."
Eddie could hear the boy groan behind him, yet he walked away with determination, leaving Dustin behind.
Your gaze kept shifting between your wristwatch and the giant clock on the wall as you kept scribbling on your sketchbook, your foot tapping almost in rhythm to the ticking on your wrist.
It was almost three, and there was no one in sight. You'd already spent an hour in the library, catching up on your own homework, and now you were waiting for the person you were supposed to be tutoring without even knowing their name. You kept telling yourself that if they weren't there five minutes past three, you'd go home, and make up an excuse if Mrs. Click cared enough to ask.
But as if on cue, you heard the library door open, turning your head to see who it was.
He was standing there, his ring-clad hands gripping a history textbook, his eyes slightly widening when he saw you, the smile that slowly twisted on his lips causing you to react in a similar way.
The spell was broken when you heard a sudden clacking, only then realizing that he had dropped his book to the ground, and the boy quickly picked it up. You chuckled, turning back to your table and closing your sketchbook with a smile on your face.
He made his way to you briskly, looking at you up and down before settling to look at your face. "Are you my tutor?" He asked, and his voice was just as you'd imagined it to be, but better.
"Yeah, my name-"
"I know." He said, clearing his throat when he realized he had interrupted you. "I'm Ed-"
"I know, Eddie." You chuckled, quickly looking down at your feet before smiling up at him, "Do you wanna get started?"
"Sure."
"You can sit next to me or on the other side of the table, but it might be easier if you sit next to me so I can-"
He didn't even have to say anything to interrupt you, the boy already having pulled back the chair next to yours as you nodded, sitting down with him.
You started to go through the basics with him, telling Eddie about what would likely be on the test, the boy's eyes almost trained on you, the thought of it making blood rush to your cheeks. He kept nodding when you spoke, and you weren't sure if he was actually listening or doing it as a courtesy, but you hoped it was the former.
"So, Joan of Arc was..."
"She led the French army to victory over the English during the Hundreds' Year war. She was executed in 1431 for heresy at 19, and in 1920 canonized as a saint." He said, repeating what you said almost word-for-word, and when he looked to you for confirmation, you couldn't help the smile taking over your lips. "Did I get it right?"
"Yeah. Good job."
When you looked into each other's eyes with similar smiles on both your lips, no words were exchanged, but you knew. You finally saw one another.

Have you seen the new trailer for the Indigo Disk yet?
What do you think Kieran's champion design?
i have seen the new indigo disk trailer, it's gotten me super excited for it to come out ( so i can lose it over whatever is gonna happen to my boy. )
i will say, i am a little let down by kieran's champion design. it feels weaker compared to his first design, they definitely could've pushed it more. still, i don't think it's a terrible design either. i'll probably play around with it when i draw them in the future.
actually, i ended up drawing kieran's champ design in my sketchbook so i might as well share it here!

Could I request Zhongli, Ayato, Al-Haitham and Kaveh with an artist reader who loves drawing them and filling up sketchbooks with artwork of them?
Absolutely! Honestly I absolutely love the idea, like it's just so so cute!! So I really hope you enjoy this just as much as I did enjoy writing it <3
Zhongli, Ayato, Alhaitham, Kaveh with artist!reader who sketches them
TagList: @bleachtheidiot - come get your people!
Tumblr media
⊱ Zhongli definitely saw that your eyes sometimes wander between him and your sketchbook whenever he tells you a story
⊱ so he had 2 ideas why that might be: either you're drawing his story or him, and no matter which one it actually is, he doesn't mind
⊱ he'll wait patiently for you to show it to him, although if pretty much time passed for his liking, he'll gently being up the topic
⊱ if you decide to not show him, he'll completely understand it and wait for the right moment or accept it as it is
⊱ if you do tho, he won't even think for a second about giving you any criticism, he'll just feel his heart melt as the sight of your sketchbook filled with him
"That's such a sweet act of yours, my love. I'm really overjoyed that you love me so much that you made this sketchbook just for me."
⊱ he'll also definitely buy you a new sketchbook! ... Just not necessarily with his own money...
⊱ be ready that he'll tell many people what he discovered that day but if you tell him not to, he'll simply cover your name
⊱ although if you don't mind, he'll be happy to say publicly how amazing his partner is
Tumblr media
⊱ Ayato never bothered in asking you about your sketches since he thought of it as a private matter
⊱ he quickly figured out that it was him you were drawing, it wasn't hard since your eyes often wandered between sketchbook and him, so it'd be hard to not notice actually...
⊱ if he's busy and he sees that you're sketching something, he won't ask you about it since he wants to just focus on his work
⊱ if he's don't busy tho, he'll ask you straight but still respectfully if he could see what you're sketching
⊱ if you decline, he'll smile understandingly before changing the topic onto something else
⊱ if you decide to show him tho, he'll smile in happiness as he looks through the pages
⊱ be ready for him to spoil you in compliments and presents because that's what he gonna do for the rest of this day and maybe even more
"My dear... I'm so glad you let me see it. It's an really adorable thing of you to do. Why don't we get ourselves some boba and walk around the city?"
⊱ he won't tell much people about it but he will, probably just his sister and maybe Thoma as well
Tumblr media
⊱ Alhaitham immediately noticed and realized that you're sketching him, I mean... it would be difficult to NOT notice since you're looking between him and your sketchbook all the time
⊱ unlike the ones above, he first smirks at you before asking what you're doing as if he didn't knew already
⊱ he'll try to have a look at your sketchbook by himself at first byt if you move it away from him, he won't pressure you to show him
⊱ if you let him have a look tho, he's actually so gentle with you, complimenting you all he can
"That's so sweet of you to draw me... I really appreciate it, thank you. Would it be possible for me to have one tiny sketch for myself?"
⊱ he will do his best to not tell anyone about your little admiration for him, even if you tell him it's alright
⊱ although it accidentally spills when 3 boys starts teasing him that he's not very liked, he brings up that you actually admire him
⊱ so if you happen to be nearby while or shortly after their talk, be ready for small teasing or questions
⊱ although don't worry, they like you more then they like him so you can easily get away with it
Tumblr media
⊱ Kaveh is probably the slowest one to realize that you're sketching him from them all, even if your eyes clearly wander between him and your sketchbook
⊱ so whenever you sketch something, he's right over your shoulder trying to peek
⊱ if you hide your sketchbook from him tho, he'll ask you to show him this in teasing tone bur will eventually give up after longer time
⊱ if you show him, he'll be overjoyed barely holding himself from crying in happiness
⊱ so you can be sure you'll receive a lot of affection and compliments after he sees your sketches of him
"Oh my, that's so sweet of you! You're literally so amazing!! Can I keep one sketch for myself? I promise I'll keep it safe!"
⊱ next time someone enters his room, they can see sketch of him drew by his love hanging next to his bed
⊱ he'll immediately tell everyone he knows about how amazing you are
⊱ although if you clearly tell him not to, he'll try to hold back but his roommate will know about it either way...

Wally x Frustrated!Artist Reader
(Platonic or Romantic)
Summary:
Reader has had a frustrating day with people saying mean things about their art. Wally proceeds to comfort them. Context: Reader may enter and exit Welcome Home, the show, at their own free will. There will be another oneshot to explain this for the future. Trigger Warnings?: Some angst(??), unsolicited criticism, sad reader :(
You just about had it. You didn't know whether you wanted to cry or yell, but it was tempting to do either. You held your sketchbook tight to your body, walking away from the scene to avoid any possible outburst you would have had if you'd stayed any longer.
You remembered how it all started. You had just finished a drawing you made, colouring, shading, and all. It was beautiful to stare at. You couldn't even believe you made it. Of course there might have been a few mistakes here and there, but it was still so gorgeous to you.
You were at the library with some buddies, so it was expected one of them would have taken notice of your attention's sudden ensnarement caused by the paper in front of you. They looked over and poked your shoulder.
You focused your attention back to them and gave a quiet hum, tilting your head in the process.
"What're you doing?" They asked, peering over at the paper.
"Oh! I just finished a drawing! I guess I just couldn't keep my eyes off it, huh?" You responded, placing your hand on your neck and rubbing it with some embarrassment. They gave a light chuckle and stared back at the drawing, before looking to you and smiling.
"It looks great!"
You perked up and felt your heart flutter. "Really?" You were sincerely glad to hear this, knowing how much you've been struggling to gain confidence in your art. They nodded and continued staring. "I was thinking of posting it online! I really like the way I did the lineart and colours on this! It's the first time I felt this proud of anything I've made, really!"
"Yeah, totally! I mean, I don't think a lot of people will really give it a like, but it's still really good!"
Your smile faltered if only for a second. "Uh, yeah?" Now what the hell did that mean?
"I mean, it's good. It's just that I don't think the algorithm will make it as popular as you think."
You felt your cheeks flush, a deep pit forming in your stomach. You felt as if you made a big mistake. "Um... Yeah. I guess."
They noticed your newly formed grimace and hummed. "Again, it's not bad. I don't get why you look so devastated."
You felt taken aback by their comment and scoffed. "Well, I know what you mean by the algorithm and all, but you don't think it's just a tad messed up to say something like that- like-- out of no where?"
"Not really. I mean, I said it's good. I'm not going to say it's a masterpiece or whatever if that's what you're asking me to do. There's still some mistakes like how the lighting is going off from different directions and stuff."
"Wow, um, okay. I didn't ask you to do a single thing, but alright."
"I just don't get why you're so upset. I told you it's good."
You nodded and got up from your seat, pushing the chair in behind you and grabbing your belongings. "Sorry, you're right. I'm just gonna go home now."
"Uh, alright."
That's when you left. You really didn't want to apologize, but you sure as hell knew that if you stayed and argued, they would have probably said some more upsetting things. They would have gotten frustrated with you, and that would have made you feel guilty. You knew you weren't the wrong one in this kerfuffle, but you still felt the heaviness of the words they had told you.
When you got home, you immediately walked into your room with the same deep weight in your heart. You couldn't stop thinking of their words. To hear the validation only to be hit with a backhanded comment like that felt like if someone just handed you a two question based homework assignment with sub-questions.
You lifted the drawing from your chest and stared at it, looking at the inconsistent lighting, your eyes darting back and forth from the once excellent linework to the botched details of the small things like colouring outside the lines.
Maybe you shouldn't post this.
You gave a heavy sigh and felt your face droop.
You sat on your bed and stared at the ground, pondering for a moment before a loud ring began to encroach on your hearing. You shot your eyes to the red telephone on your desk. You almost forgot. You grabbed your sketchbook and picked up the phone.
"Hello?"
You closed your eyes right before the bright, flashing colours could hinder your vision, opening them only a second later to find yourself at Home. In Home, to be more exact.
You sighed in relief, seeing a figure run up to you excitedly.
"Hello, neighbour!"
It was Wally. You almost forgot about your deal. You promised to visit him every day at a specific time, or at the least check up with him, in exchange for the promise that he would not leave Home. (This was out of fear of what they would do to him if someone figured out he was a sentient muppet.)
"Hi, Wally," you greeted back, walking up to him with less energy than usual.
"I was worried when you didn't call right on time. I waited, but after ten more minutes, I thought I should call you myself. I hope that's okay?" He sounded so full of guilt. You couldn't help but give him a soft smile.
He was always trying his best to make sure you weren't upset with him. Part of you felt like maybe it was because you were the only person he had contact with in the real world and would be afraid of driving you away, but another part of you felt like maybe it was just second nature to him. He was one of the most genuinely caring personalities you've met.
"Aw, Wally. Of course it's okay. I find it sweet, honestly. I'm sorry for not calling sooner. I sort of um..." You stared at your sketchbook and faltered. "I was caught up in some business."
You switched your focus to him and chuckled. "It won't happen again. I promise."
"Im glad to hear that, neighbour!" Wally's gaze was fixated on you intently. An uncomfortable silence weaving its way into a brightly colourful world full of friendy critters and muppets seemed impossible, really, but here you were, waiting patiently for the solace of any action or word to appear, only to find nothing in return.
It felt like the world was paused, with you and Wally being the only inhabitants with the ability to wander as you pleased.
"So what's happ-"
"Are you okay?" Wally interrupted, his unending smile still resting on his face.
You found this question odd at first. Were you being that obvious?
"Um.. Honestly?- I'm not as happy as I should be right now. Sorry if it was noticeable."
"Don't apologize, dear! It's only natural to feel upset! Did something happen?" Wally made his way to your side, placing a hand on your shoulder in an attempt to show you that he was here for you.
You exhaled with a smile. He was really considerate. You only knew him for about three weeks now, and he was still so kind to you.
"Well, it's a bit of a long story."
"I have all the time in Home!"
You chuckled and nodded, setting yourself down on the nearby grass with ease. "Alright, well.." You placed your sketchbook down next to you as Wally copied your action, sitting across from you with an engaged gaze. "I was really happy about something I made today, and I thought I did a great job."
Wally nodded as you spoke.
"I'm not usually ever happy with stuff I do, so this was really exciting for me," you continued, staring down at your sketchbook and lifting it up to meet your vision. "One of the people I knew came up to me and told me that it was good, so I was obviously excited, but then they said something that kind of hurt, and when they noticed that what they said hurt, they just kept saying more mean things."
You stared at the drawing and sighed. You looked back at Wally and gave him a sort of displeasured look. "I left, and now I can't stop thinking about what they said, so now I'm just lost on whether or not I was right to feel as happy as I did the first time I saw my fully made work."
Wally nodded and tilted his head, redirecting his concentration to the drawing pad you held. "Did you draw something?" He inquired with a softer tone. You nodded in response.
He hummed and looked back at you. "Would it be okay if I took a look?"
You hesitated for the smallest moment before nodding. You shouldn't have to give it a second thought. Wally was an artist like you, so maybe he would understand a bit more. He reached out, gently grabbing onto the book and staring at the recent page you used.
"...No critiques please," you mumbled, feeling embarrassed that you even had to ask that. Wally's pupils seemed to be moving fast. You tried reading his expression, worrying a little bit when you realized how hard that actually was.
"It's.. It's so beautiful."
You exhaled with a big smile. "Really?" You tried not to get your hopes up this time, so you dialed your excitement back down a bit.
Wally kept staring at the drawing, his eyes never seemed to stop moving. It was as if he was trying to memorize it for himself in the future.
"Of course it is! This colour.. This design! It's wondeful! I'm really astonished, dear! I don't understand how anyone could ever say such crude things about this!" He sat up straight, looking at you with a wider smile than before, his pupils larger than ever. "Why, I'm so proud to have such a creative and talented neighbour like you! I really have no words! I'd frame this if possible!"
Overwhelmed with joy, you began to giggle and tear up. This was a lot for you. Wally really seemed to love it, and it was more than enough to fill the pit in your stomach with butteflies. You felt like your heart would have fluttered out of your mouth if he continued any longer.
He said he was proud to have you as a neighbour.
It could almost make you cry, and without realizing, you did.
Wally jumped at this reaction and set the drawing down. "I'm sorry! Did I say something wrong?" He scooted closer to you, feeling very concerned about his words. As he was getting closer, you pushed your body forward and wrapped him a tight hug. He let out a noise of surprise before going limp in your arms.
"Sorry, you did nothing wrong, I'm just so happy!" You held onto him tight. Wally chuckled and nuzzled his head on your shoulder.
"I'm happy you're happy, neighbour!"
You let go after half a minute and wiped your tears away. Wally regained his motion again, grabbing the sketchbook and handing it to you.
"We should definitely draw together sometime, dear! You're very talented! If there's one thing I would want to tell you, it's that you should never doubt your skills, especially if you're proud of what you've made! I'm sorry someone said something terrible to you. You shouldn't pay any attention to them," he rambled, planting a hand on your leg as you took the drawing pad back.
"Don't worry too much about that, I feel much better now that you've helped me," you replied, fiddling with the pages of your book. "You always know what to say."
He nodded and stared deep into your eyes, the world going silent once again as you began to notice this eye contact. "I love to see you smile."
Your face flushed. "I.. Um, thanks! I love your smile too!" He continued staring and sighed, his eyelids beginning to droop ever-so-slightly. You felt yourself become at ease. Normally, you'd feel uncomfortable with staring at someone for too long, but he was hard to look away from. You oddly felt tired.
You cleared your throat. "So about that collaboration," you blurted.
"Oh, yes! What time would you like to draw?" Wally asked, perking up and smiling greatly.
"We could now, if you want." You simpered at his mannerisms. He acted like an excited puppy. His pupils dilated as you finished your sentence.
"Nothing would make me happier!"
"Then let's get goin'!"
You both got up from the grassy spot and headed towards his home with more bounce in your step than ever.
"I love you, neighbour!" Wally exclaimed.
"I love you too, Wally."
End.
Notes: There may be some minor spelling mistakes here and there, so feel free to correct me on that stuff. This is my first time posting a fic on Tumblr, so sorry if the format is weird.
This story is kinda based on something that actually happened to me (besides the wally part lol, that would have been cool). I decided, why not share with other people who experienced similar things?
Asks and requests are open, so feel free to stop by my account and leave a request!

I think A LOT about Soap trying to give back the childhood Ghost lost. (Part 5)
Ghost sat at his desk, writing down reports from the last couple of missions. Writing down names of soldiers that got KIA, getting their family's contacts sorted out. He was glad that he wasn't the one who had to write the letters with condolences, it was Price's duty. Still, writing down dozens of names every few weeks was wearing off on his mental state. Sometimes he wished he was a lower rank, so all this paperwork wouldn't be his problem.
Ghost hear familiar food steps outside his room, soon after his door swung open and constant blabbering filled his room.
"My ma just called- said my old man feels better already. I told you about his injury, dumb man shouldn't be climbing a ladder at this age. Good that my sister is-"
"I am busy now, Soap" Ghost stopped him. Soap walked up to him and looked over his shoulder.
"Ugh... I could not be doing paperwork, I would fuck it up immediately or leave it for the last minute."
"I am gonna fuck up if I don't finish those by the end of the week."
Soap stood over Ghost for a second, looking at all the paperwork work. "Alright, Lt. gimme some of them and I will help."
"Johnny you just said-"
"I can do this with clear instructions, Price will have to manage through my spelling mistakes."
Ghost looked at Soap, not knowing if he is grateful or just tired. He didn't realize that he was tearing a corner of one of the pages. "Ok, grab yourself a chair."
Soap patted Ghost's back and sat next to him, taking in all the work before him. Ghost gathered some of it and passed it to the sergeant explaining what needed to be done.
They worked in silence for like... what, 3 minutes? After that Soap's leg started bouncing, brushing Ghost's knee every now and then. He huffed under his mask.
"So, you were talking about your sister."
"Ye won't mind me talking now?"
"I have divided attention, Johnny." And from that moment Soap talked about the situation in his family house, leg no longer moving. Surprisingly the Scott's energetic voice helped Ghost to fall into a nice work rhythm.
*******
They were filling out the paperwork for at least an hour now and they were both exhausted. Soap wasn’t even talking now, just writing things down and grabbing a corrector when Ghost pointed out a mistake every now and then. Soap was glad that he wasn’t very judgmental about it.
“What about we take a break, Lt.?” Soap leaned back in his chair. “Ye have a whole ass week for this.”
Ghost looked with a blank gaze at all the papers. “Sure, I had enough.”
And they sat in comfortable silence for a while, but Soap wasn’t one to sit in silence for long periods of time, especially when around Ghost. They could be doing so much together!
“Ah’ have a plan!” Soap perked up.
“I am saying ‘No’ to whatever it is.” Lieutenant declared.
“Ye are no fun, just- Do you have like… Who am I asking.” Soap stood up. “I will be right back.”
“I said-” But Johnny was already gone. Ghost didn’t know how the man could just ignore him and what’s weirder he didn’t know why he was letting him. Soap could tell him that he takes him on a trip to some distant part of the world and he would follow- no without bitching about it, but he would. And he didn’t know how to feel about it. Probably panicked.
Soap came back holding his sketchbook and a worn-out, flat box. He sat on the floor, back resting against Ghost’s bed. He gestured for Ghost to sit beside him. Ghost groaned, but did as Johnny wanted. It’s not like he had anything better to do- except the pile of work.
“You came here to brag about your drawing skills?”
“Oy! Ah’ don’t brag!” Soap clearly felt insulted by that.
“You bring it everywhere, Johnny.”
“But I don’t show anyone- That’s beside the point. We are gonna draw something.” He started to go through his sketchbook in search of a blank page.
“I can’t dr-” Ghost could swear he could see his mask on one of the pages, it was for a second before Soap got to the blank pages. Soap couldn’t see the blush that crept on his covered face.
“I got my old crayons, so we won’t be able to create masterpieces anyway. Yoe are not getting out of this, Lt.” Soap scooted closer to perch his journal on both of their knees. They had to sit with their legs flushed together. How did Ghost not mind?
Soap stuck the small box between their knees. “Come on, you have one page and I draw on the other.” He already had a green crayon in hand. “You can just draw whatever comes to yer mind. It really helps with stress, well - helps me at least.”
Ghost certainly needed that now, so he grabbed himself a black crayon. Soap smiled and focused on his own side, while Ghost doodled mindlessly. It actually was pretty soothing, especially since their hands were brushing against each other. Ghost was so focused on not freaking out that he didn’t realize that Soap was now looking at his page.
“Is that a carrot?” Soap pointed to one of the doodles. Ghost sighed.
“It was supposed to be a nuke.”
“Ooooh, yeah I can see that now.” Soap was now totally in Ghost’s space, drawing things right next to his ‘drawings’. “What about this?”
“Half a dog.”
Soap snorted. “You are terrible, Simon.” They drew together for a while, Soap’s page forgotten.
“What about you draw something big to finish the page?” Sergeant proposed.
“Wouldn’t know what.”
“First thing that comes to yer mind. I will close my eyes, and see if I can tell what it is.” He chuckled and closed his eyes.
The first thing that comes to mind, huh? Ghost looked for a minute on relaxed Soap, his eyes closed, smiling. Right next to him.
He got to work. What he drew did not look like he wanted at all, but he really tried. And come on, he doesn’t know when was the last time he held a crayon in his hands. When he finished, he just moved his leg, to let Johnny know. He opened his eyes.
In the middle of the page, was a huge wonky drawing of him smiling.
Soap’s heart swelled up- the first thing Simon thinks about is him,
I AM SPEED. I don't know why but this thing puts me in such a creative mood and I get so much motivation from all the comments <3 It's just so relaxing to write those. I hope you all like it <3
I might be projecting on Soap with the dyslexia.
Oh and I forgot I did this because I felt like it would be adorable.

Outsider HC's but they're mainly about Ponyboy,, cuz he is my fav,,
Tumblr media
Most of these are just Pony interacting with the gang and his brothers 😭 are they gonna be OOC? Probably. Do I care? No. Am I right abt all of these? Yes. (No.)
ALSO alot of them are post-main story/mention Dally and Johnny's death a lot cuz I am unable to let my favs be happy 🫶 (! None of these are ships btw,, they're all platonic and stuff lol)
Anyways,,
Ponyboy & Johnny
Johnny and Pony regularly have conversations quietly around the gang, most of the time they have a whole conversation with just a couple looks and jerks of their head. They both seem to get what they're saying while the rest of the gang is completely lost on what they're saying/talking about.
Pony is the only one who calls Johnny, J as a nickname.
"We're not scared because monsters don't live here." Was a sentence said many, many time in the abandoned church.
Pony and Johnny can lie pretty well, but when they have to lie together they suck.
Ponyboy & Dally (ft. Johnny)
After Johnny and Dally died Pony stopped drawing and reading or writing for awhile. He picked it up again and his sketchbook is full of doodles and sketches of Johnny and Dally.
Dally has a soft spot for only Johnny and Pony. It takes a lot for him to get soft with the rest of the gang. He's still mean and tough but more just teasing with Johnny and Pony.
Before the fire Pony would read out loud all the time while Johnny would just sit and listen, sometimes Dally would listen too but interrupt with questions and criticizing the characters. Now that they're both gone, Pony will sometimes read out loud on his own, pretending that both Johnny and Dally are there listening.
Dally is very supportive of Ponys hobby in art. He's usually the one who catches him sketching or painting and just watches until Pony is either finished or notices he's being watched. Dally always nods in greeting and says "keep it up, kid." Or "nice job, kid." But Dally will brag to his other buddies that aren't the gang about how talented the kid is. ("Nah man, the kid draws from memory. He drew this one picture of his big brother, yeah the big big one, looked exactly like him. Like a photograph almost. Kids real talented.")
Ponyboy & Steve
Steve says he can't stand Pony and is mean to him, but Steve is very high on the list of people who care about Pony. He's the most frantic (mostly angry) one next to Soda when Pony got jumped. He secretly cares about him a whole lot, like he's his own brother.
Steve will give Pony rides to places or offer rides time to time. (He only does it if Pony's gone awhile without annoying him lol)
Steve (and Soda, but surprisingly it was Steve's idea) took Pony to his first drag race. He definitely should have not been there.
Ponyboy & Two-bit
Two-bit and Steve started sitting in and listening to Pony read, they're not Johnny and Dally but Pony appreciates it nonetheless.
Two-bit was actually so obsessed with toddler Ponyboy, he always insisted on bringing him with the gang and letting him in on games, he always wanted a little brother. He loved how easy Pony was to entertain and make laugh.
Two-bit was the only one who didn't think twice about Pony and Soda's names.
Two-bit sometimes steals art supplies for Pony.
Ponyboy & Sodapop
When Pony would visit the DX Soda would walk him through fixing a car and even let him help out on small stuff. Even Steve would help too.
He'll leave notes everywhere for Pony and Darry and sometimes the gang. They're either dumb jokes or funny little drawings.
Soda gets very excited when Pony asks him anything abt cars, he'll talk for hours abt them.
Soda was so obsessed with Pony when he was born, all he wanted to do was hold him and hang out with him. He would brag to Darry that he's not the only big brother now lol.
Ponyboy & Darry (I'm so obsessed with their dynamic & their growth)
"Dang it Ponyboy you're giving me gray hairs at 20!" Is a regular sentence said at the Curtis residence.
Darry always tells the other guys to be careful with Pony when they're rough housing. Pony thinks it's cuz he doesn't want them to break anything in the house, Darry just doesn't want Pony to get hurt.
Toddler Pony would follow Darry and Soda/the gang everywhere but mainly Darry. If Darry was doing homework in his room then boom Pony would be in there quietly playing or sleeping on Darry's bed.
Darry regularly cuts Soda, Pony and his own hair. They don't have the privilege of going somewhere to do it so Darry just does it and he does surprisingly well. It's a whole day activity.
The night after Dally and Johnny died Pony had trouble sleeping, even though soda was there. The first person he went to for comfort was Darry. Darry was in the kitchen cleaning, trying to distract himself when Pony walked in. Darry held him in his arms the rest of the night.
On the first father's day without their parents Pony makes a card with a drawing of him and Darry on it and leaves it on the kitchen table for him because he's embarrassed. Darry keeps it forever. (He did get very emotional over it but not infront of anybody. When he got home he hugged Pony, smiled and walked away. Those actions spoke a thousand words between the two and Pony knew he said thanks.)
That's all 🥹 (for now 😦)
I will be doing more of these 🙏 I wanna try to do individual characters cuz ik some here didn't have a lot as well as ALL of these being pony centric and I love them all lol
OH ALSO feel free to add on to these (or ask me about them) or add your own HC's cuz I love outsider headcanons ❤️
Also can you tell I love when Dally and Steve are nice to pony lol? Love it. Love the idea that Steve actually cares abt him and shows it sometimes or Dally caring just as much abt him. THEY ARE ALL A HUGE FAMILY YOUR HONOR 🧑‍⚖️🧑‍⚖️🧑‍⚖️🧑‍⚖️🧑‍⚖️ I'm also so obsessed with Darry and Pony,,, they are so,,, complicated sibling relationships get me everytime
Are some of these good? Probably not. Do they make sense timeline and story wise? No and idc. Am I so normal about them? Yes. Most of these are based of fanfic versions of them anyways so yeah
