plot one: muse a, a resourceful petty thief, has just been released after a four year prison sentence for the murder of their partner, which they did not commit. just before they were killed, muse a's partner revealed to them the location of a safety deposit box, containing evidence of corruption carried out by a wealthy businessman whose goons then committed the real murder before framing muse a. muse b unknowingly works for the corrupt businessman and is engaged to his heir with a wedding rapidly approaching. now, they are tasked with ensuring that muse a leaves town now that they're out of prison. muse a begs muse b to help clear their name of murder accusations and get to the safety deposit box, something muse b reluctantly agrees to even though they are in the midst of a wedding rush among other errands set upon them by their underhanded boss. muse a and muse b begin falling for each other, complicating things even further, while neither of them yet realize their ties to the same man. (inspired by the 1987 film 'who's that girl'. i can explain this better if need be! i tried to condense it as much as possible.)

plot two: muse a and muse b have been together for four long years, and just as they thought things were progressing to the next level, a huge fight ends their relationship. the only problem is that they're both on pretty tight budgets, so neither of them can afford to move out of the apartment they share together right now. an awkward bridge forms between them as the forced time together makes them start reminiscing about the good times and whether they really want to throw it all away.

hello! it’s that time again i try to sell myself as a potential writing partner. i have written these in the past and been successful in occasionally finding roleplay partners who are interested in the same sorts of things as me. so i am looking for people who want to world build with me. i really like discussing plots, headcanons, and anything that can make me understand your muse better! i love sharing memes, drabbles, not roleplaying linearly and tossing around multiple threads! i don't need many people to write with but i really prefer to have a handful of people who i know well, am invested in their muses/feel super comfortable with my knowledge of their muses & pingpong my annoying ideas at them easily.

i tend to write lengthier things but i am okay with any length as long as it’s not one-liners! i also have zero interest in writing with someone who i will only have one thread with and never speak to again. 💀 i just rather focus on threads that will grow outside of just one single reaction! i like to think i am pretty easy to toss shit around with but i am a little shy so sometimes it takes a while for the ball to start rolling but once it is i am full-sending that shit.

Hello everyone!! You can call me Ghost, I'm a 21 y/o cis woman looking for some more RP partners! I've only been RP-ing for a year, but I've been writing for much longer than that, so I've got ample experience. First off I'd like to list off some important rules:

- you must be 18+, no minors!

- NO realistic FCs! I can only work with picrewed or drawn FCs, or whatever art you find, I'm fine with that too!

- I almost exclusively do fandomless OC x OC! I'm into quite a few anime, so if we find the inspiration, we might do CC x CC as well, but my main focus is the former.

- I don't do doubling! I prefer that me and my partner both find something that we both enjoy without the pressure of "giving back" and all that. If there's an OC you've been wanting to use though, please let me know as I'd love to find a character who'd be fun to write with yours!

- I also have a tendency to make OCs on the fly – I love thinking up fun character dynamics and making OCs that would fit that!

- I can do anything from semi-lit to advanced/novella. I prefer more/longer paragraphs, but sometimes the RP can be more fun when it's shorter. Also, you don't have to match every reply, just give me something I can work with!

- I write 3rd person present or past.

- I'm fairly active, anywhere from a few replies a week to a few replies a day. I'm not asking for daily responses, but at least 2-3 a week would be preferred.

- Please be communicative! I love to chat OOC, talk about the RP and characters, make playlists, boards, headcanons, all that jazz. But we both have lives outside the RP, and the only important thing is that we're always on the same page!

- please work with me when it comes to plotting!

- I only RP on discord, I prefer to make a private server for easier organization and I tend to use Tupperbox but Tupper is not a must!

- I'm open to NSFW but only when it feels right, it's not gonna be the focus of the RP. We can discuss limits and stuff beforehand.

- I do both angst and fluff.

- I like a lot of genres and settings! I have some plots in mind but I'd love to hear what you have to offer! The genres include: fantasy (high, medieval, victorian...), victorian settings, modern, sci-fi, supernatural, horror/thriller, futuristic, slice of life, apocalyptic and more. hey, 21 here seeking other 18+ roleplayers to write against a specific oc i have in mind! looking for fxnb or nbxnb pairings since the character in question is a nonbinary lesbian. they're very solitary and a bit rough around the edges, but a lot softer deep down! more info can be provided privately. i have no preference for what your oc is like, but i prefer not to write against overly submissive or passive characters.

for plot and setting, there's a few different directions i wouldn't mind going in- i normally write them in post apocalyptic or wasteland environments, but i'd also really love to try them in a modern southern/rural setting! repression, religious imagery & trauma, pining, and some element of action/peril are all things i'd love to include, but plot details can be brainstormed together! i do tend to love angst and dark subject matter, but everything will be kept within both of our respective limits.

that being said, i strongly prefer fade to black over outright nsfw. i'm also comfortable with anything from semi lit to full lit- im alright with shorter, more rapid fire responses, but i can also typically hit the discord character limit with ease. as long as there's a minimum of three chunky paragraphs, i'll adapt to your preferred literacy. i will be using art and detailed descriptions for my oc, but i do not mind what type of fc you prefer to use for yours. i can be relied on for plenty of ooc chatter, enthusiastic headcanons, and moodboards and playlists, and ask that you be the same!

Hmm. All my fc have happy endings. I feel like that's the big payoff. There are a few that end on happy notes after a ton of angst.

I don’t have any WIPs except the current one. I have an idea that I have outlined and have talked about in the past. My epic Sci-Fi of doom. But the Mafia AU which took me a long time to write and I don't have the motivation to write anything that will take me months again.

16. What are your writing strengths?

Immersing the reader in the scene. Writing detail in a concise matter. Research. Action scenes. Gritter topics that don’t get glossed over.

17. What are your writing weaknesses?

I have a mild form of dyslexia which means I write weird sentence structure and a ton of homophones that my amazing beta fixes :)

It also takes me a long time to write, but I'm also in my 40's and I'm don't have a lot of writing time. Which is also the reason it takes me a while to read longer stories.

18. Thoughts on writing dialogue in another language in fic?

Very, very sparingly and if only, it makes an impact in the scene.

Eli & Zoe - Their Exes

For those of you who were here back in 2021, you may recall these templates that were created by the amazing @jamespotterthefirst. They were fun, and they were also extremely helpful in developing characters and creating backgrounds. So, I decided to do this template for Eli & Zoe in my Wake the Dead world. I may do others if I feel they will be helpful.

Since they live in a post-apocalyptic world with very different realities/challenges that we face, their history is different, yet, there are some similarities to things we experience today. They are not all pretty, and I will place trigger warnings before each photo/slide so you can skip over specific ones if you wish.

If you're reading my WTD fics, I hope this helps you understand the characters better, as it has helped me in creating them.

Eli & Nessa loved each other but were not in love. Each got 50% because they were just so confused and unsure of their real feelings.

They were the best of friends and trusted each other implicitly. But commitment is at 50% again because of the uncertainty. If things had turned out differently, there is a good chance they would have ended up together. If they decided to commit to each other, they would have remained fully committed - in love or not.

TW: Not exactly healthy sexual relationship / No abuse

FC: Charlize Theron

There was zero love, or even like, between Eli & Cora.

This was a purely sexual relationship born of pure physical need and loneliness.

While the "relationship" lasted around 9-months, their encounters were limited and only took place when Eli traveled to her town for trading purposes.

TW: None really for this one, though it does discuss arranged relationships in a controlled society.

FC: Jannik Schumann

Jon gets a 20% for "in love" because Jon was in love with the idea of pleasing the leaders. He was not in love with Zoe at all.

Friendship and trust levels are low but not non-existent. At that time, Zoe was still cordial with Jon because they were training together. Had they been sent on missions, she would have trusted him... to a degree... and vice-versa. But the more he became loyal to The Tower, the less trust/friendship they had.

TW: Grooming, inappropriate relationships with an authority figure

FC: Chris Pratt

Zoe entered into this "willingly", believing she was seeking a physical, no-strings-attached relationship. She was actually a little proud of herself for doing so. It was only later she realized how Carlton was a groomer who took advantage of those who were his students and others he had power over.

Because of this, Zoe has a 15% for "in love" because, in the start, she thought maybe they meant something a little more, but Carlton knew exactly what it was the entire time. This is also why there is a 10% for commitment - mostly on the part of Zoe.

Trust is at 50% because initially, Zoe trusted him, maybe not fully, but a good deal. Of course, that was crushed. She did not trust him after, but to a degree, she did. They both had to trust that the other would keep their "secret" for different reasons.

TW: None, really - but it does discuss anti-LGBT views in The Tower

FC: Henry Golding

Zoe & Tylo were not in love with each other, not at all. But they did care about each other very much. Their relationship was up front, supportive, and healthy - so they get a 25% on "in love" for that reason.

Friendship, trust, and sex were all high. Not unlike Eli & Nessa, if these two were "in love," it could have been a good thing, but they weren't.

That said, commitment got 50% because they were very committed to what they had. They were committed to protecting each other. But neither had any illusions that this was "true" or would last forever.
