saw a couple people on the timeline read for what dnp are up to so i thought it might be fun !!

deeply scared of all the reversals at first until i realized that they're all so good >:))

the seven of pentacles is about collecting on the work you have put in. likewise the ten of pentacles is about legacy and the culmination of that work. i expect this is where the empress fits in, the nurturance of their life and their legacy.

the page of wands and page of pentacles both reversed really indicate that this is not a career or financial move though...

the nine of wands is about being close to achieving some goal after a period of hard work. it being reversed, to me, implies that the goal wasn't as close as initially thought-- that the goalpost moved, maybe. that an amount of effort that should've been enough suddenly wasn't. (this COULD BE wanting to be more vulnerable with us after BIG but it could also not be)

the tower reversed reads to me like dread. it doesn't feel so much like the cataclysmic change the tower is known for, more just this sense of fear that change might happen, if that makes sense? but it doesn't. the sense of anticipation of a rejection that doesn't come.

the devil in a dan and phil reading is significant in and of itself. i don't know what it means to them that they chose it to represent them but they did. if nothing else they chose to represent the fact that they're bound together and that's crazy.

Ok fuck it you know something I've never really quite understood about part of the Leftist vs Liberals debate on voting.

So so so many people act like its either-or. Like you're either dedicating your entire life to voting and promoting politicians and phone banking or whatever, or you're a True Rebel waiting for The Uprising to Come and Solve Everything.

But like. In my experience. Me voting is just me kinda go 'which person seems kinda good? Which one at least sucks the least? ok lemme go vote.' and then its anywhere from 30 minutes to an hour tops of my life. And I still have plenty of time to do Stuff and participate in Conversations about Other Important Things. And also you can admit and acknowledge and understand that the system As Is kinda sorta really sucks ass, but also still admit and acknowledge and understand that at this current point in time we are still living in the suckass system and do something to alleviate the suckass At Least A Little while also working to bolster/create/advocate for Other Systems.

I guess just like. it's not a black or white thing. Between 'top 500 volunteers for a specific politician/voting office/etc' and 'absolutely positively not voting at all' there is a gray area called 'vote and then just do other stuff'.

new season of RnM made me remember I created Homestuck themed rick OCs partly as a joke but I was never brave enough to post them so here they are now

K-612

Rick 'Rickrd' K-612 is gold blood who made portal tech as to not get helmed. He's got psi to nearly rival the Captors in terms of power. Once off Alterina he drops the last two letters of his name because "fuck the alteRnian naming conventionss! im tRoll Ricckk!!!!!!"

K-612 Mortie is the troll Rick's lusus took in after Rick left, but he isn't Rick's descendant or anything like that. He's more lime than gold, and has weak telekinetic psi without any crazy eyes to go with. I don't have a visual design for him sorry but hopefully I'll make one in future.

When Rick found out about SGRUB he stopped home one last time before that universe got destroyed because Rick is a sentimental bastard. He took Mortie with him on impulse. He developed an even bigger god complex after learning about SGRUB cause trolls made humans. Rick is a Derse Lord of Doom, and Mortie is a Prospit Muse of Blood.

Rick & Mortie are the most toxic moirails ever. They balance each other out sure, but they also actively make each other and everything else worse so no body wins.

K-413

K-413 is a mostly normal Rick, but he read Homestuck and gained it as a special interest, so he hates himself a little more than the average Rick. K-413 Morty wears Dave glasses, he also read Homestuck, but he started at act 5 and has never read intermission 1.

Rick: You can't just, skip whole acts of Homestuck! You're missing important parts of the story!

Morty: I don't really care Rick. Enough of my own life is already stupid scifi bullshit.

Rick: The intermission is hardly SciFi.

Morty: I don't fucking care Rick.

There is also Rick K-1111, aka Cherub Rick, Morty would obvi be his body pair. There is not art for this one just accept it and move on.

Eddie was pretty sure that if he took a count, Steve probably would have told them that the party was "thrown against his will" about 10 times since he walked through the door 2 hours ago.

"It wasn't against your will," Dustin shouted from the pool.

"Whatever you say, Henderson," Steve rolled his eyes. He smiled to himself as he tossed an empty soda can right into the garbage they'd set out. It was better than having soaking wet gremlins running through his house anyway.

"Oh don't act like you aren't a total sucker, Steve," Robin yawned from her spot on a raft as she floated past.

The corner of Eddie's mouth twitched up into a little smile. "Yeah a total sucker. Especially when Max pulls the puppy dog eyes."

"Happy to be of service."

"You're all terrible, I hope you know that."

"And you're a sucker," Lucas smirked.

"That's a fact," Erica walked past with a pile of her own garbage.

Eddie could barely stop himself from laughing anymore; so he settled on lowering his head underwater. It was weird to think that he was here. Here could mean a lot of things. Here, being alive. Here, floating peacefully under the water in Steve Harrington's pool. And if he got a little emotional thinking about how here could also mean with a group of people that were like his family now? Then sue him.

A loud shriek caused him to pop his head out of the water. He shook his hair out of his eyes just in time to see Robin pop out of the water looking ready to raise hell. Steve popped up a second later. Giant shit-eating smile on his face that made Eddie's heart skip a beat.

"Oh it's on, Harrington," Robin seethed even as a smile slipped onto her face. Eddie sputtered as he got hit in the face with a splash.

"I'm an innocent bystander here!"

"That's one of the funniest things I ever heard," Max shouted as the kids laughed.

"It's war now, red!" Eddie shouted.

It was chaos. Max shrieked as she dove behind Lucas who was soon an unwilling human shield for both her and Erica. Dustin decided that the best way to splash everyone was to cannonball back into the pool. Steve and Eddie both with their heads thrown back in laughter.

It was wild. It was the happiest Eddie had been in a really long time. It was only after the kids were out of the pool and piled up on the couch for a movie, that Eddie leaned in to kiss Steve on the cheek. "For my favorite little sucker."

i just want a happy home with a man who acts like my dad :( i want to live in a nice house together where it's always safe, there's no yelling or constant stress, i'm not always worrying that i've done something wrong or when the next fight will be, it's quiet and calm, there's no constant loud music and noise and 3 different tvs playing at once, people feel safe and comfortable visiting, it's lived in and cozy, there are decorations on the walls and shelves and it's not the end of the world if things get broken or dirty, and we're just happy together in our own little world🦋💌🍀🌸🧺🪻

(this is in a downstairs like cafe/hallway/elevators area) so i stall and then we go to check for a free room to sit in and when there r ppl in it we just go back near the cafe area and theyre over in this little. alcove. of a sitting area. lounging. and im so normal and rlly naturally glanced over a couple times hoping to god the guy didnt see me cause luckily roommate was faced away. anyway. but lydias screenaging it up so im just sitting there awkwardly. and i have to walk past them at one point to get soy sauce to drown the sushi in and maybe that made me look like a weird little stalker too. well again this is if the guy even knows who i am and prob not so whatever its like fine. but like yeah and then i def saw them getting up and then on the elevator to leave so i think my skittish little creature tendencies scared off the vibe from across the room even... and i didnt just wave like a normal person bc i wasnt sure they saw me but we've spotted each other at much greater distances there's simply no way. i was treating them like what the kids call an 'opp' kinda... me when im an anxious little beast...
