doesn't sayori have a line in ddlc+ where she says it's too hard to choose a favourite food? or am i just making it up

hmmmm i dont think any of them would be picky eaters honestly. Except maybe Yuri, i could see her not liking foods that have weird textures and stuff but no examples come to mind lol

i think its canon that monika's favourite drink is coffee (my personal headcanon is that its specifically black coffee and the others judge her for this relentlessly), Yuri is obviously a tea person, sayori likes apple juice, not sure about what natsuki's favourite drink would be, i kind of want to say some kind of energy drink for some reason

speaking of energy drinks, mc lives off them and the girls keep telling him how unhealthy it is but that does not stop him

PASH 2019 A Summary of Natsuki Kizu’s GIVEN Interview 1- How was Given born, what works made you want to draw? I wanted to draw a manga which had another key point other than love. I think the main purpose of BL is "romance" but I wanted something other than that. There are a lot of reasons why I chose music. I simply like music and a friend of mine used to be in a band- I wondered if using music to express emotions in BL had a good compatibility.

2- What are the origins, like the character settings of the 4 main characters.  It was originally planned to be completed in one volume, similar to many BL works. Initially, the plan was to end with the first live performance. As for the other characters, I cant express well with their origins- only Mafuyu was a decisive decision.

3-  Which character was the easiest and hardest to move In contrast, I have a hard time handling Mafuyu since he has a lot of elements that I don't have. Hiragi was the easiest to write as his elements are simple.

4- Tell us a behind-the-scene information that will only be revealed here Haruki has only one ex-boyfriend.

5- Who is going to be the uke and seme among Ritsuka & Mafuyu, or Haruki & Akihiko; and how is it going to pan out The theme for both is "emergence". I'm not picky when it comes to who's uke and seme as I prioritize the plot regardless of what I think.

6- What scene or line left the strongest impression on you "Just a little bit" on page 124 volume 2. This series started because I wanted to convey this, and so I was deeply moved when I was finally able to say it.

7- How familiar are you with music? Do you have any musical instruments youre familiar with, or experience in bands? I'm an amateur when it comes to music. I have no band experience, I just love music. I did a lot of lessons but I didn't keep up, I did like listening.

8- What genre of music did you have in mind for Given, and did you use any artists for reference I was asked this when making the anime and it really bothered me because I haven’t decided at all. This is because of "Imeson culture" or image song. It is where the subject is similar but the songs are different to each person. Musical preference also play a role so theres almost no right answer- I think its better to not limit the reader. Regarding "what kind of music is playing", it's left to the reader as much as possible. Ive been careful to leave a space in between as I draw.

9- How did you become a professional writer, and what or who are those that influenced your style? In university, I was in the video (movie) field. Even though I didn't end up in the video field, I think I was strongly influenced by the video-like expression method.

10- What BL works have greatly influenced you, or that you would recommend It's not BL, it's "Banana Fish". My father likes it, and it's almost the only manga I've had at home. It’s one of my original experiences with manga.

11- In production, what do you pay attention to the most I pay attention to the right amount of realism. Since BL stories itself are in insane fantasy, I thought that the foundation that supports it should be somewhat realistic. So, in order to keep the band setting, I studied music and conducted interviews. Also, Given has a mix of true stories from myself and friends, however, it would be a waste of fiction if it was true to reality.

Aiden usually wasn't too picky with his food, but the past few days he had been craving something specific, refusing to give in and just going to his usual stake or if Mik had something ordered. But finishing up at the ranch on Saturday afternoon, he changed his jeans by his truck, throwing the ranch ones in the back so the inside wouldn't smell of animals and shit. He hopped in and drove down, deciding that if he ordered takeout it was a good compromise.

Stopping in front of Hida, he took off his hat and threw on a jean jacket, going in and waving at the familiar faces, standing by the bar so he could wait, though it did seem that at the hour most of the people were already finished with their lunches and weren't hungry yet for a dinner. "Hey, good to see you," he said as he heard steps and turned around to smile at the woman.

How do you feel about violent* tsundere characters?

I'm not that into them. Like. They're endearing at first, but eventually I'm just like 'shut the fuck bitch who asked you.'

Like Watching Evangelion; I fucking hated Asuka. I hated her stupid guts. She was the most unpleasant creature to walk on two legs. And all my friends were shocked caused they LOVED Asuka, they thought she was GREAT.

All I could think when she came on screen was 'ughh.....hurry up and bitch already so you can leave.'

I didn't even know MISTY from pokemon was supposed to be a Tusndere until like a coworker TOLD ME.

The only time I've seen a Tsundere done well enough for me to like them, is Natsuki from DDLC.

I'm just picky about my Tsundere's.

What app/website do you use to make your moodboards?

The process of me making my moodboards is pretty simple, first I collect my images for the moodboard (I’m surprisingly picky when it comes to finding the pictures), I use Collageable to make moodboards and put the images together cause it has the template that I like and it’s easy to use. Once the moodboard is done I collect the character sprites/art, and head over to sketchbook so I can add the speckles and the sprites. If I just so happen to need to make something transparent, I used my transparent app cause it’s easier than tediously erasing the background around the character.

That’s really all there is too it tbh

On this day of celebration (which gives you an excuse to get drunk), what is your go-to alcoholic beverage, why do you enjoy it, and how much do you need to consume before you get completely drunk?

"Ok let;s get this out of the way first. . . none of us are actually of the legal age to drink. Barring New Years of course, sti-"

"BUT WHO CAREs ABOUT THAT?! KOSUKE! START US UP!" Haruto said enthusiastically, shaking his brother's shoulders back and forth.

"Ahhh. . . I don't drink?" Kosuke tried to answer. Both Natsuki and Haruto just looked at him with identical clueless looks on their faces.

"H-how? Why was that a question?"

"Haruto's right, you either do or don't right? It's not a question that requires an abstract answer." Both twins tried to point out the broken logic that was Kosuke's answer, to which the younger man nodded to.

"Well. I suppose I like mimosas? I mean, I've only had a few alcoholic drinks in my life outside of amazake, and I don't think those count?"

"Well then you drink!" Natsuki answered for him. Arms in the air.

"Ok then, ummm for me, I like fruit flavored and sweeter drinks, but I'm not even sure I can taste alcohol. . . You know what? Why don't the two of you share first?" Kosuke gestured to the two

"Fine. The only things I drink at parties I'm dragged to are cheap potato soju, or just your average sake. I'm not picky on my brands and I'm pretty sure I get drunk after like, five cups, which I'm pretty sure makes me a lightweight." Haruto laughed.

"Scaredy cat."

"I am not." Natsuki said trying to defend himself.

"You don't like trying new alcoholic drinks?" Natsuki nodded before pointing his brother.

"That's his job. . . maybe."

"Haha! Nope! Beer! I can take two cans before I get tipsy!"

"Oh great, we're all lightweights." Kosuke nodded, knowing that it was his turn again.

"Well, at least we're doing so safely. I hope. But for me, I don't know my limit. The most I've had at one time is a single glass."

"Oh yeah, what was that about not tasting alcohol?" Haruto asked, tilting his head like a curios child.

"There was one time where some upperclassmen brought us drinks and a bunch of the others said that there tasted like there was a lot of alcohol in it. I liked it though, and I think it's because I couldn't smell the alcohol."

"Hmmmm, well a large component of taste is smell, so that might play a role?"

"Probably? I've never been drunk before though, so yeah."

"Oh! Natsuki got super clingy when he got drunk once! Hold up, i think I have a vi-"

➜ don't get him wrong, mf loves you ─ like a lot, but atsumu was well, terrified

➜ he really should have wrapped his willy

➜ he wasn't even the best boyfriend, how could he even be a good father ? but nevertheless, he wanted to start a family with you; even if it was unexpected.

➜ he was a perfectionist, it could be seen with how badly he exhausted and beats himself up with his tosses ─ but atsumu would never let him treat his children like they're a mistake

“[The protagonist is] a strong woman with a large build. But just because she’s powerful doesn’t mean she gets to be happy ever after. Much like she would in real life, she has her own problems. She’s supposed to be an ordinary human, but she winds up with a dangerous set of skills. Those talents wind up throwing her in life-or-death missions.

“Obviously, that comes with its own type of hardship. And she isn’t just running around going ‘Oh God! I’m so scared!’ She just takes it all head on. At least on the surface, she doesn’t appear emotional as she takes on her challenges. I think that gives our heroine a somewhat hardboiled appeal. That’s her character. I think the fact that she’s both strong and beautiful is appealing. But at the same time, she’s very human. She hides that humanity within herself. She’s filled with that hardboiled attitude I previously mentioned, where she barely lets her humanity show. She’s a very cool character, I think. I think that’s appealing.

“Of course, since I’ve been making action games for a while, I have lots of parts I’d be picky about. Especially in action parts themselves. I’ve been doing cutscenes and story scenes in games like that for a long while. So I wanted to get the storytelling in this one JUST right.”

“We’re trying for a very hardcore game too, very different from Japanese clients. Most Japanese publishers are headed down a path where they want a lot of casual games. But 110 Industries was straightforward from the get-go and said they wanted a hardcore game. They were very passionate about it. And since we’d been making difficult action games for a long time… we were able to settle on things very easily.

“We both wanted to make a hardcore game. It felt like we had very similar wishes. It felt like we were able to figure out what sort of hardcore game we wanted to make, and that for all the big policies, we were all on the same page. Since the scenario and IP are all original work, they’ve got all this passion for what they’re doing. We can’t really interfere with that. But we really want to take the charm that their ideas have, and their passion.

“And since we’re making a hardcore game, we don’t have to worry too much about definitions. With a Japanese publisher, we’d have screen reader support enabled to figure out what exactly ‘casual’ means for a specific game. And it’s difficult. With a hardcore game, we don’t have to do that. And it’s been really easy so far.”

I love Chris from AIJ!! Do you have a favorite video of his? Like a super-comfort one?

I'm only just now starting to dive through his stuff, but frankly the stuff he's done recently with Joey and Natsuki (Natsuki is literally an icon and I would do anything for that man) is peak. I am very very very picky about content boys, and Chris is a very well rounded creative. He's got the voice, the humor, and the timing. The video quality and editing is also top notch. It most closely resembles what my ideal vlog content would resemble, so it tickles my brain folds in all the right ways.

It's extremely palatable to me. He's a very fun, entertaining dude.
