"The piece had been assembled from fragments, manually, and not by a bone magician. The smallest would have been no bigger than the moon of your cuticle.
It had been painstakingly—passionately—laboriously reassembled "
This one took me a little while!

Rating: NOT CUTE
This one-room enclosure is much too small for a Palamedes, and there’s only one book provided for enrichment. A Palamedes hides its signs of distress well, but to an expert, this one is clearly uncomfortable. The book is a filthy historical romance, which is an appropriate choice for a Palamedes, but a Palamedes needs an entire library in order to be truly comfortable, and providing it with anything less is cruel and irresponsible.
Furthermore, a Palamedes rarely enjoys complete solitude. Responsible owners should provide a large enough enclosure so that the Palamedes can enjoy the company of a Camilla or a Dulcinea, or even both. Camillas and Dulcineas occupy different ecological niches, and are unlikely to compete for resources.
An adventurous keeper might even want to provide the Palamedes with the company of a Harrowhark, but bear in mind that, while the Palamedes will express its enjoyment of the Harrowhark’s company, the Harrowhark will express anger and distrust. This is not a distress sign. Harrowharks enjoy claiming to be angry and distrustful of a Palamedes, and a Harrowhark will enjoy spending time in a library with the Palamedes.

Paul
(Image description, and close ups of elements, behind the cut)
I have been obsessed with the idea of Paul as the Rebis, the Great Alchemical Work, since the moment I read the birth scene (a few weeks ago now). It just fits too perfectly, and I am sure it is not a coincidence. From Wikipedia:
The Rebis (from the Latin res bina, meaning dual or double matter) is the end product of the alchemical magnum opus or great work.
After one has gone through the stages of putrefaction and purification, separating opposing qualities, those qualities are united once more in what is sometimes described as the divine hermaphrodite, a reconciliation of spirit and matter, a being of both male and female qualities as indicated by the male and female head within a single body.
I wanted to do it in a style evocative of the time that alchemy was 'popular,' and include imagery evocative of story elements surrounding Paul's birth and origins. I looked at a lot of medieval illustrations, especially woodcuts, for inspiration. This took me 84 years to do, so I hope you will enjoy! :)

Image description: An illustration in medieval woodcut style of Cam/Pal/Paul as the Rebis, the great alchemical work. It is a fusion of their male and female bodies. Their heads are crowned, and skeletal bat wings spread from their shoulders. Camilla, on the right, holds one of her knives, while the half that is Palamedes holds a key. Immediately behind the figure is Noodle. In the Background on the right is the ruins of the Building, with the Greek letter Rho below it; and on the left is the Tree of Knowledge of Good and Evil. The figure is standing on a rock where also rests the skull of the sixth house. In the foreground the River is depicted with skeletal hands reaching upward, and bones bobbing among the waves. The constellation Cassiopea is above.

Agamemnon: Palamedes said you two were stashing pot in here! Diomedes, pulling out a flower pot: You mean this? Agamemnon, calming down: Oh sorry, my bad. What are you growing? Odysseus: Weed.

A couple of non-European Arthurian knights
Esclabor, the wandering Saracen lord. In some versions he is described as the lord of Babylon, which would’ve been the area around Baghdad after Islam was brought to Iraq. His clothes are based on artworks from the Abbasid caliphate because the timing seems to be somewhat appropriate. The design of his robe is based on this painting of a robe of honour being gifted to the founder of the Turkic Ghaznavid dynasty, Mahmud Ghaznavi, by the Abbasid caliph Al-Qadir (x). The robe seemed a good fit because not only does it reflect his high status, but also the pattern on his sleeve is very similar to the coat of arms associated with Esclabor (x).
Next to him is his son, Palamedes. He’s wearing Abbasid style clothes with a pattern reminiscent of samite based on Sasanian and Abbasid ornaments. His armour is roughly based on scaled armour in the more Persian style of the period.

Shitposting absurd tlt theories/headcanons until I get Alecto News: day 9(I completely am not posting every day, but to hell with it):
So Palamedes says he thinks that "those little outfits nurses wear" are sexy. For the most part, I think we all assumed he meant those sexy nurse costumes you get at Spirit Halloween. Which implies one of two things: A) the sixth has some of them preserved in their archives, which is not unlikely, but also what if 2) the nurses actually wear those in the nine houses. I feel like this would happen on the third, at least. We also don't know much about fashion or beauty standards in the houses outside of what we've seen on Canaan, because that was the best representation we got, and everyone there was outside the average. We had the ninth, who are very separated from everyone, as our best point of reference at the end of the day. We saw the grandiose fashion of the third from Corona and Ianthe, and got descriptions of the Sixth wearing gray cloaks and the Eighth wearing all white, but past that, we don't know much.
So I guess what I'm trying to say is, what if spirit halloween-type crappy costumes have become their own cultural phenomenon?
