Making a point to end an unintended hiatus from art and music, and as I began to pick where I left off with the pile of the unfinished, which to be clear is the only pile - I stumbled across and recovered a misplaced, unfinished variation of an undeveloped take I was working on.

There was a seed, but no discernable features for distinguishing it from any other plant. George R.R often compares his approach to the "gardener" as opposed to the "architect" mode of writing. And while the ladder is respectably meticulous with its own advantages the gardener approach cultivates an atmosphere of unpredictability sobfar as the manner in which the story develops - and of does in new and unforseen directions.

There's something organic, and dare I say mystical, whereas Rte unconscious or even an outside will of its own, and the voice of the story itself is wanting to be heard and conjured into the writing of an author who has the ears to hear enough to be a proper conduit.

I've always had more or less an instinctual predisposition for using this approach with art and music, and sometimes it hinders if spontaneity rules wreckless and unencumbered over any willful considerations for conveying conception. But in the same vein without room for the unexpected altogether, the magic of creativity is lost along with it.

Most of my unfinished artwork is accounted for and retrievable, what's exciting is when you recover something unfinished and underdeveloped which you don't know was lost or forgot was unfinished and out of sight and of mind.
