Asteroids you should check out in Solar Return chart part 1
Hii, i'm backk all :3
Before i start today's post, i'd like to thank each and everyone one of you who engaged with my last post! Your support means the world to me <33
I was really shy to start posting and i postponed it for a long time lol
Anyway, back to astro business🪐
Tumblr media
(The first asteroid observation is inspired by one of @a-d-nox post's)
🌹 Asteroids Orpheus (3361) and Eurydike (75) indicate the year you’re gonna get engaged or married.
If the aspect is positive (trine, sextile) then it indicates marrying one of your greatest loves, but it will eventually end in divorce. If the aspect is negative (opposite, square) then the marriage is doomed from the beginning and it will still end up in divorce. The girls (for some reason i noticed it's only relevant in your chart if you're a female? idk why tho) who don’t have an exact aspect (0-3 degree orb) between these 2 asteroids in any year in their solar return chart may still get married, but it won’t be a passionate love marriage and it’s much more likely for it to last a long time.
(For the next asteroids, check if they aspect SR Sun, Moon, ASC, DSC, IC, MC, Venus, Mars or Mercury)
⚰️ Having asteroid Grieve (4451) prominent in solar return chart indicates a year when someone important to you will die.
It gives you information about the way you process this person’s death. It may also indicate just a great loss, even if the person hasn’t died in the physical realm (for ex. a difficult break-up).
Story time! (nobody asked me lol)
Back in 2021 i used to talk with this guy online, we were in a "long-distance relationship" even if soon after i realised i just got attached to him strongly and i didn't actually have romantic feelings for him. It lasted around 5 months which is a lot for me (i've got Sagittarius Venus y'all, i'm noncommittal af). Even if i've been wanting for the relationship to end for a long time, when it actually ended, i had a very hard time moving on from him. Turns out i had Grieve conjunct my Sun in 3rd house that year, which was also opposing my 9th house Uranus. I'm honestly glad i'm over it now.
Tumblr media
⭐ I noticed nobody has been mentioning this asteroid yet, but having Zdislava (5275) proeminent in solar return chart is a big indicator of becoming famous that year.
Zdislava is a Czech girl name which literally translates to "created with glory". It is the feminine form of Zdislav, which was duke of Croatia in the late 9th century.
⭐ Of course, you can also check asteroid Fama (408) which is, well, self-explanatory.
Having Zdislava/Fama asteroid conjuncting your SR Mars would make you gain fame suddenly, basically wake up the next day famous lulz. You might also be known for your drive, never giving up attitude or you might become popular in the sport industry that year (it does depend on the sign it is in tho).
Having Zdislava/Fama asteroid conjuncting your SR Venus would make you famous for your looks. You will attract the attention of the opposite sex quite easily that year. You might also become famous in the fashion industry or in the arts.
That's all for today folks!! Soon i will start to give paid readings, so follow me if you don't wanna miss it <3

Note
hiii, what are the indicators of meeting the person you will marry on the solar return chart?☺️✨
solar return chart observations (marital edition)
i would like to first state that NO TWO CHARTS ARE THE SAME. what i am about to list out does not mean you will for sure need these exact things (or all of these things) to find your person. if you don’t understand my thought process feel free to comment with questions!
let’s begin :).
Tumblr media
indications of meeting your person
any couple asteroids that aspect from the 1h based on who you are trying to attract; if you are the feminine, your masculine would be in the 1h or vice versa. EXAMPLES OF MARRIED COUPLES OF MYTH:
- juno (3) - JUPITER
- kleopatra (216) - caesar (18458)
- heracles (5143) - dejanira (157) / hebe (6)
- orpheus (3361) - eurydike (75)
3h juno
5h sun
6h venus
5h/7h vertex
venus at 0°, 2°, 7°, 14°, 19°, or 26°
a partner represented asteroid (listed above) at a fame/success degree (1°, 2°, 17°, 28°, 29°)
jupiter with venus attributes (ruled by libra or taurus or at those degrees (2°, 7°, 14°, 19°, or 26°))
jupiter at a fame/success degree (1°, 2°, 17°, 28°, 29°)
sun-jupiter, venus-jupiter (typically a trine), and mars-jupiter; i can’t explain why it’s always this trio in the solar returns i am looking at - maybe its because sun is the male, jupiter is the husband, venus is passion, and mars is desire.
indications of a proposal
mercury (gemini or virgo) ruled 7h - no, i wouldn’t count degrees in this. oddly, what i have noticed is virgo 7h solar returns lead to broken off engagements? perhaps not always but oftentimes ya lol.
7h mars; mars is both ambition and assertion with passion both are generally found in proposals.
8h vertex
mercury-saturn and/or jupiter-saturn; it’s giving “til death do we part vibes” also saturn is fidelity so these two aspects are good indicators that the proposal with be that of long-term commitment.
mercury-venus
mercury-jupiter
venus-mars
venus-saturn
mars-saturn
orpheus (3361) - eurydike (75); in all the charts i looked at of married couples they have a positive aspect between these two asteroids the year they were proposed to. it’s hyper specific but makes sense when you read the myth.
indications of getting married
6h vertex
7h libra
7h venus
8h mars
moon-saturn positive aspects
mercury-mars
venus-jupiter
jupiter-saturn
pluto-asc or pluto-mc; this is a good thing, you want to see a change in your appearance/status in society.
1h chiron or chiron-asc; to me this could make you appear as someone who dotes on others (aka the husband).
juno (3) - asc

ORPHEUS [3361] AND EURYDIKE [75] NOTES
This will go into natal and synastry positions, aspects, and overlays. I've been researching this pair for my own purposes, but it's worth sharing, I think. Disclaimer is in my blog bio.
Tumblr media
💀 ORPHEUS [3361] and EURYDIKE [75] are both underutilized in chart readings, imo, especially as a pair (though I am extremely biased). The meaning and the mythology is strong, and prominence in the chart can be impactful to great effect, in any type of chart, but especially synastry.
💀 Remember, asteroids are never as powerful as planets or system angles, but prominent asteroids should be considered, especially if they do resonate with the native.
💀 Uses in chart: art, life/death/rebirth, love, stories, fame and reputation, beauty, nature, tragedy, destiny, loss.
💀 You'll find a summary of one of the most common iterations of the myth of Orpheus and Eurydike here and if you prefer referring to an original text, there's a translation of Ovid's version here - small details vary but this is the general gist if you need context.
Tumblr media
Eurydike in the Chart
💀 Eurydike is the ‘tragic muse’ figure (in contrast to Galatea’s and Aphrodite’s ‘fortunate muse’).
💀 As an object, she generally correlates to disappearances, being out of reach, being abandoned, absences, misplaced trust, and an early departure.
💀 An individual with prominent Eurydike usually feels as though they are always being left behind, though they often are the first to create some distance, not always through fault of their own.
💀 Eurydike ASC aspects make the native appear elusive - and they often are. Others have a hard time pinning them down. They have a detachment to them that makes it feel wrong or improper to approach and interrupt them, as if just by talking to them you're treading in territory you're not supposed to be in.
💀 Eurydike MC will give the native a tragic reputation - they may be known for a near death experience. Or it may manifest in an individual who is constantly moving away, leaving behind friends and family. They may be spoken of more after they've already left, as someone that is missed, rather than when they're actually there.
💀 Eurydike MCs may also be well known for their relationships to artists, especially as muses and sources of inspiration, or if the relationship is malefic in some way.
💀 Eurydike ASCs, on the other hand, may not be known for it, but will enchant a great many people through even brief interactions. They often have a trail of creators in their wake who still call upon their memory for artistic inspiration.
Tumblr media
Orpheus in the Chart
💀 Orpheus, in his own right, is the ‘tragic artist’ figure (in contrast to Apollo’s or Pygmalion’s ‘fortunate artist’).
💀 He correlates to grief, obviously, but also to devotion, fidelity, obsession, fear, doubt, an inability to let go of the past that hurts, an unwillingness to let go.
💀 An individual with prominent Orpheus feels like they are always undergoing a trial for the sake of love. Love is everything to them but it feels like the world is against them and their love, or that their love is fighting them. They can get stuck in unhappy relationships because of their tendency to just pour effort forth.
💀 Orpheus aspecting the ASC makes the native very comfortable in the realm of performance - it comes second nature. Orpheus aspecting the MC is capable of pulling out heartwrenching performances, and is known for such, but it isn't effortless.
💀 Orpheus ASC also know how to charm their way into places they aren't supposed to be, and are comfortable doing so at the drop of a hat. Orpheus MC carefully selects when to trespass, making moments memorable enough to define their image.
Tumblr media
Orpheus and Eurydike in Tandem
💀 If Orpheus and Eurydike aspect one another in the natal chart, you may naturally be drawn to doomed relationships, or you may self sabotage in your doubt. There’s also a chance of romanticizing tragedy overmuch.
💀 You know how Eurydike is elusive and Orpheus transcends? This is why Orpheus placements are such a good match for them. Orpheus transcends in the name of love and creativity, which makes them the perfect candidate to recognize and reach out to Eurydike.
💀 Eurydike likewise is charmed and inspired by Orpheus, both for their transgressions and devotion. For an Orpheus native, who is prone to being taken advantage and/or runs the risk of intimidating others with their intensity, Eurydike's validation is a relief.
💀 However, this is why it's so devastating if something goes wrong. Eurydike disappears as a coping mechanism, Orpheus never lets go. It's a recipe for a painful cycle.
💀 Even if one or the other or both choose to make the break, Orpheus will be haunted by Eurydike, and what they could've done to fix the situation. Eurydike's life will lose color without Orpheus - the isolation can be stifling and overwhelming.
Tumblr media
The Dark Side of Orpheus and Eurydike
💀 Eurydike invites fear, paranoia, deception, melodrama, flightiness, misunderstandings, and sabotage, especially self-sabotage.
💀 Eurydike is prone to disappearing without warning. This may be by choice, but it also may be due to reasons beyond their control.
💀 Orpheus invites grief, depression, wallowing, artistic obsession, and being "torn apart" by fans as Orpheus both incites the obsession of others and instills obsession in the native.
💀 The obsession of others over the native will be a more parasocial one - obsession with their work, reputation, artistry, their creative mind.
💀 The native's obsessions will be personal, intimate, likely romantic.
💀 Orpheus-Eurydike aspects in natal and sybaatry invite obsession, jealousy, paranoia, stalking, death, short marriages, separations, and any of the typical potential harm that comes of a muse-artist relationship.
Tumblr media
Other Objects to Check Out
💀 It’s worth checking placements and aspects for Pluto, Hades, both Proserpina(s), Persephone, and Melpomene if Orpheus and Eurydike play big roles in your synastry chart.
💀 Also, if you have one or both asteroids prominent, lmk about these other objects - I have Proserpina [h57] loosely conjunct Lilith, Persephone [399] conjunct my moon, and Proserpina [7292] exactly conjunct my Pars Fortunae.
💀 If you're interested in the interpretation of a specific position for Orpheus or Eurydike, but want some help parsing it, drop me an ask with the parriculars and I'll take a look!

Lesser Known Asteroids for Synastry and Composite Charts - PART 4 - Orpheus and Eurydice
Based on the myth of Orpheus and Eurydice in Greek mythology
Tumblr media
The Asteroids:
Orpheus 3361
Eurydike 75
3361, 75
The Myth:
A story about losing faith and longing for one another.
Orpheus falls in love with the beautiful Eurydice and they happily marry
One day, Eurydice dances with the Nymphs in the forest; a snake bites her and she dies
Orpheus mourns her death while playing his lyre, and his song compels the gods and the world to feel sadness too
He goes down to Hades, the underworld, with the protection of the gods to see Eurydice
He plays for Hades and Persephone so beautifully that Hades allows Orpheus to bring Eurydice back to the living world under one condition:
Eurydice will follow behind Orpheus, but Orpheus must not turn back to look at her until she reaches the light outside of Hades
As they walk out of Hades, Orpheus cannot hear Eurydice's footsteps and starts to doubt that she is behind him at all
Right before they could exit the underworld, Orpheus loses faith and turns around to see Eurydice
Eurydice is sent back to the underworld and is forever trapped with Hades; Orpheus is unable to enter Hades again
Orpheus plays a mourning song on his lyre, wishing to die so that he could be with Eurydice again
Orpheus is killed (in different ways in different versions) but his head is intact to sing forever
His lyre is cast into the sky as a constellation
Tumblr media
Possible Outcomes for this Couple
Aspects between Orpheus and Eurydice in synastry and composite charts indicate a relationship that highlights trust and faith. One or both people might not completely trust that they are both committed and loyal to each other even if they are. There is a bit of obsession happening here; because they want to be together so much, they start wondering if the other person wants the relationship to work as badly as they do.
It may also feel like life gets in the way of their relationship. The relationship may feel strong when things are good. But once life happens and problems arise (as they naturally do), the fragility of their trust in each other is revealed.
Both people may have entered the relationship in an optimistic way. They may have only seen the good sides of each other and thought that was enough.
So, during low points, they feel a gap between them. One person might not completely trust the other to go out into the world by themselves, either because they don't trust their partner or because they don't trust the world.
Another way to see this aspect is that one person is doing most of the heavy lifting. They will do anything to make the relationship work. But they are not sure that their partner is on the same page as them; the partner feels strangely distant even if they are physically in the same space. The partner, on the other hand, may try or want to try to make this work, but feels some sort of blockage like he/she is not fully present and engaged in the relationship.
Hard times might feel very dramatic for both of them. But underlying it all is a longing to still be with each other. Feeling of being pulled away and then coming back together again and again. If the relationship is unhealthy, this could get exhausting and toxic.
Orpheus-Eurydice shows a cycle of losing and longing, losing and longing. They lose some and then they slowly wind back up and realize they have each other. This is a positive manifestation of this aspect. Recognizing that problems can be overcome together as long as they have faith in themselves, in each other, and in the fact that everything will turn out alright. Knowing when to interfere and knowing when to let nature take its course and embracing that.

Hey Friends!
This is the first post in our Greek Muse Asteroids Series, and we are excited to share the mythology, general meaning, and astro observations with you all! We are starting with the "leader of the muses," Calliope. Her asteroid is number 22, which corresponds to spirituality and is a master number in numerology. Let's get into who Calliope is and what this asteroid indicates!

Calliope
Muse of: Epic Poetry, Eloquence Other associations: Singing, Leadership Other Names: Kalliope
Mythology: Calliope (also spelled Kalliope) is the muse of epic poetry and eloquence. She is the oldest of the nine greek muses and is also often called their leader. She is said to have a beautiful voice, and to have been graced with singing talents. According to Hesiod she was also the wisest, and most assertive muse. Her symbol is the Lyre, which is a stringed musical instrument, similar to a harp. She is often depicted with a writing tablet, a roll of paper, or a book in her hand. She also usually wears a golden crown, and is shown with her sisters or her children (in some cases.) She was married to Oeagrus, the King of Thrace in some stories, and is often said to be the mother of Orpheus and Linus. There is also a famous story in which she had a singing match with the daughters of Pierus, the King of Thessaly. It is said that they challenged her thinking they would win, but they did not. Their punishment for losing after challenging Calliope was being turned into magpies. (A type of song bird.)

Asteroid Kalliope #22
This asteroid can indicate talents in writing, specifically in poetry or the fictional category. It can indicate someone who really has a way with words, and who may have a pleasant or harmonious voice. People with this strongly and positively aspected may be able to command the room with their voice, or people may listen to them (and their innate wisdom) very intently. Depending on the placements it can indicate someone who is an inspiration for someone else's poetry, song lyrics, or music. (This is something you can see in synastry or the composite chart between two people.) Prominent placements can show someone who is wise, or who is a great leader or teacher of some sort. There may also be indications of someone who is very assertive. However, hard aspects may show someone who is more reserved or struggles with assertiveness. It can show someone with a love of novels, epic poetry, mythology, and other forms of creative writing. Career wise it can show someone who would excel in journalism, research, documentation, making documentaries, technical writing, astrology, painting, or art. It can be seen prominently in the charts of some Librarians and Teachers as well. With it's correspondence to angel number 22 it may also indicate someone who is interested in spirituality or philosophy, as well as someone who seeks balance and justice in the world.
Asteroid Observations
✨ Kalliope in Libra, Gemini, or Virgo can indicate someone who enjoys writing or reading. It can also indicate someone who is very wise or intelligent beyond their years. These people may enjoy getting lost in novels, or they may really embody the academic aesthetic. They could be really into reading stories or writing about justice, or the human condition. They may be collectors of books, and you may often see books, art supplies, instruments, etc. in their environments. (Dark academia lovers unite!)
✨ Kalliope in Aries or positively aspecting Mars can indicate someone who is very assertive or creative. These people may make really great leaders, or have a very commanding presence, especially if Kalliope is conjunct or positively aspecting the Ascendant. They may really embody someone who naturally seems to be gifted with words, a beautiful voice, or leadership capabilities. It can even seem as though sometimes people follow them blindly into things.
✨ Kalliope in a Cancer, Scorpio, or Pisces, or in the 4th, 8th, or 12th houses can indicate someone who uses creative writing, poetry, or music (usually in the form of lyrics) to process their emotions. These people may also use their emotions to write or create a lot. There are a lot of musicians who are talented with lyricism that have these placements in their charts. It's the same if this asteroid is conjunct the moon or Neptune.
✨ Kalliope in Scorpio, the 8th house, or conjunct/aspecting Pluto can indicate someone who can use writing, reading, or the arts to transform themselves or others. These placements or aspects may show someone who also likes to keep their talents somewhat hidden or use them only in the safety of their own space. You may never know that these people have a talent in writing. Poetry may be a specific strong talent for these types.
✨In Aquarius, the 11th house, or aspecting Uranus can indicate someone who is able to use their voice to lead in social causes. It can also indicate someone who loves technical writing, who is popular for their writing or creative talents, or who is able to easily establish non-profit, or organizations supporting causes.
✨ In Capricorn, the 10th, aspecting Saturn, or Aspecting the Midheaven can indicate someone who writes for work or who uses their writing or voice for work. Potentially someone who is famous for their voice. Singers and authors may have these placements. It can also indicate someone who is able to lead a company or who is a manager or in a higher up position where they work. They may also be someone who starts their own creative business. I could see someone owning a stationary store, or a book store with these placements.
✨ Kalliope in Sagittarius, in the 9th house, or conjunct Jupiter can indicate someone who is very wise. This is a place where you can see someone who is a librarian or teacher. The 3rd house and Gemini can indicate a teacher as well, but Sagittarius, the 9th, and Jupiter can indicate higher learning, so it gives off the professor type of vibe. These placements can also indicate an affinity for astrology, psychology, and mythology. These placements can also show someone who writes stories or poetry based on travel experiences. People who make documentaries or who write about other cultures and philosophies besides their own can have these aspects and placements prominent in their chart.
✨ In Libra or the 7th house can indicate someone who really loves academia aesthetic. Their home or their style may look like a library, or it may look very put together and beautiful. Generally this placement is wise, and is very balanced when it comes to their writing or communicating. They may really like classical style, greek mythology style. (Think like...white columns, sistine chapel, classic beauty...) They are also prone to enjoying romance novels, and may be really good at writing in the romance genre themselves. Libras are usually naturally drawn to being writers, so this may add a little extra dose of interest there. These types may also make really good lawyers or judges because they are gifted with communication skills centered around balance and fairness. They can easily explain and help others understand morals.
✨ This asteroid in Pisces, the 12th, or conjunct Neptune can indicate someone who may not see their natural talents in writing, singing, speaking, lyricism, music, or art, but who is very very talented in these areas. These people may find comfort in journaling, painting, or writing for their own pleasure. Creative writing and writing music may be really big hobbies for these people. You may see some people with these placements use music or books as a way to escape their daily life. They can get lost in these hobbies when they need a break from reality. They may have a tendency to be more shy when it comes to their talents, and they may never share the things they create in private, but if they do people will notice.
✨ In the 6th house, or in Virgo this can show someone who has a lot of wisdom, and may use writing or music to help others. They may read a lot of books and gain a lot of knowledge. Generally they may be shy to share, and there's a possibility they give off the shy girl next door vibes (although this also depends on what else is in your chart.) An idea of what types of things this placement would write: Cookbooks, medical journals, plant encyclopedias, etc. Think earthy academia. They also may have a knack for poetry, or for communicating thoughts in creative ways that others easily understand. They may be prone to using metaphors. (Virgo is traditionally ruled by Mercury.)
✨ In Leo, the 5th, or aspecting the sun can indicate someone who is famous for writing, their voice, or their artistic talents. This person may get noticed easily when it comes to what they choose to write about. Creative writing, fiction novelists, and lyricists can be indicated here. Some celebrities that sing or give speeches can be seen with these placements.
✨ Gemini or the 3rd house can show someone who is quick and has a great sense of humor. They could be comedians, as their voice is easily heard. They also could be someone who enjoys teaching children, or who is able to create easy to understand and aesthetically pleasing online content. These placements can indicate someone who may make a good teacher. Because Gemini is one of the two signs ruled by Mercury, communication comes easily to them. They may also have a pleasant voice, and could give ted talks or be able to lead a marketing team, or speak at conferences. (Cute side note they could be great narrators, especially for children's books.)
✨ In Cancer or the 4th house, or positively aspecting the moon or the IC, can show someone who is the leader in their family. They may also really love to have their home be a place of learning and creativity. They may own a huge collection of books or art supplies. They may also encourage their loved ones or children to be more creative, or to be more assertive. They may really love visiting libraries and museums, and they might like to have classical music playing in their home. The moon is associated with emotions, the home, and nurturing, and this can indicate someone who enjoys poetry, music, and storytelling as a self care tool. They may read books to help them ground, or they may listen to music as a way to get out of their heads. These placements can indicate someone who finds safety in books, novels, music, or art.
✨ In Taurus or the 2nd house can show someone who values literature, the arts, and teaching. It could also be someone who earns money from the things associated with Kalliope, or someone who has a more eclectic "academia" aesthetic to their home or surroundings. They may also be someone who likes to buy hardcover books, instruments, or stationary. This is extra true if there are positive aspects to Venus.
✨ Hard aspects between Kalliope and mercury may show someone who has difficulty in expressing themselves through writing, or someone who may have difficulties with reading or with learning. They may have more misunderstandings when texting or messaging than other people do. In some cases this aspect can make it difficult for the native to speak or to communicate in general.
✨ Hard aspects to the sun can show someone who doesn't feel as in touch with their creative side, or who may feel that writing and reading are not really their thing. They may not like their voice, or have trouble being assertive. They can also come off more shy depending on other placements. They are more likely to stifle their voice, or to shy away from any writing, music, or vocal talents. They also might not feel like they have the capability to be a leader sometimes.
✨ Hard aspects to the moon can show insecurity in writing, music, lyricism, assertiveness, or a struggle with desire for these types of things. Either the native isn't interested in the things associated with this asteroid at all emotionally, or they are interested but don't have confidence in their talents or gifts. They may be very hard on themselves when it comes to their voice as well. Example: If a singer has this they may always feel like their voice isn't good enough, or deep down have an insecurity about their talent, even if they seem confident on the outside.
✨ Conjunct the descendant can show someone who seeks a partner that is assertive, or who is a great leader. They may gravitate towards people who have beautiful or unique voices, singers, musicians, writers, or teachers. This is also a sign that these natives can use writing, singing, lyricism, art, or music as a form of self care, or to express love to themselves or others.
✨ In synastry if your Kalliope asteroid is conjunct any of the other person's planets, especially the moon or Venus, it can indicate the other person seeing you as a muse or as inspiration in general. They may really love your voice or the way you talk. They could also find you interesting to listen to or compelling, just by you being yourself. You may also find this person to be a muse in the topics related to the planet Kalliope touches. If your asteroid touches their Venus you may be inspired to write about their looks, aesthetic, or your experience with the way they love/your partnership with them.
----------------------------------------------
We hope you enjoy Kalliope and find out a little more about yourself and how she influences astrology! Don't worry if this asteroid isn't prominent, even if you love any of these things. There are lots of other placements in your basic astrology, as well as other asteroids, that can indicate an interest or talent in the same areas as Kalliope. Among the Tears
Fourth Prompt: Stargazing
Act Three Spoilers
Synopsis: Vier takes a moment to reflect on a friend (734 words)
---
In all her decades living in the World Above, Vier had never been much for looking at the stars. Rosy red dawn, bright blue noon, golden sunset, all of these had been new and far more beautiful to her when she first came to the surface. Something about the heavy violet darkness, the cold light of the moon, and the distance of the stars reminded her of being back in the Underdark. But in the last few tendays since she’d returned to Dawnshire, she’d found her eyes drawn to the night sky. She knew that right then, somewhere beyond there, one of the strongest women she’d ever had the honor of knowing was fighting a battle which could very well see no end.
Vier took a seat on the ground behind the temple. She thought back to the night that Lae’zel told her about her home among the Tears of Selȗne, the string of asteroids which trailed behind the moon as it traveled about the heavens. At the time, she hadn’t put much thought into the statement. But that night, as she looked to the glowing stones overhead, she began to wonder about the reality of such a thing. She knew full well Lae’zel’s childhood had been even more fraught than her own, but if it hadn’t been…what would it have been like to live among the stars? To see the world of Toril from such an unfathomable height? Did our world shine as brightly as the moon?
Would Lae’zel ever return home?
Vier’s hands tucked into her crossed legs, the warmth bringing a gentle comfort as her mind continued to wander. Time moved much differently in the Astral Plane, she knew. How long had Lae’zel been fighting by now? Were she and Orpheus winning, or was it too early to tell? Was she…well, having fun wouldn’t be the correct word, but did she still feel that passion, that she was doing the right thing? Or did she have regrets? Not if she regretted rebelling against Vlaakith, mind; none would disagree that the lich queen needed a swift dethroning, though only time would tell whether Orpheus would be a better leader, for both the gith’s sake and for those on the Material Plane.
No, Vier wondered if Lae’zel ever regretted not staying in Faerûn. Vier certainly regretted not at least asking her to stay. Scarcely a minute had passed since they’d done the impossible and slain the Netherbrain, and she had saddled up a red dragon and flown off to another war. She wanted to tell Lae’zel that she should take time for herself, that she had given so much of her young life to one cause or another, to endless fighting, to a people who saw value only in her ability to wield a weapon and not in the sum of her person. One soldier abstaining surely wouldn’t be felt too keenly by the war effort, especially now that the Prince of the Comet was freed.
But that felt like Vier’s choice, not Lae’zel’s. Ultimately, all she really wanted was to know that Lae’zel was making this decision of her own volition - that she didn’t feel like she was doing this as a loyal weapon of one warlord or another, but that she was doing this as Lae’zel. And so, she let her go, not knowing if she would ever see her friend again.
Lae’zel wasn’t the only friend she’d let go of that morning, of course, and Vier felt a bit guilty for not thinking of them all at the same time. But this was not a time for what-abouts. Instead, she propped herself onto her knees and closed her eyes, pressing a hand to her heart.
“Lathander, Selûne, any and all who may hear my plea,” she spoke to the night sky, “I beg of you, keep a watchful eye upon my dear and true companion, the githyanki Lae’zel. Keep her safe within your loving embrace, that she may one day return home to feel your light upon her skin once more and we may rejoice in her victories. May she and her people taste true freedom at last.”
Whether Lathander or Selûne happened to receive her heartfelt prayer would be a mystery for the ages. But there was always another god whose ear she had, and she’d certainly be thanking him when her friend set foot in Faerûn once more.

Meteor (1979)
Tumblr media
While I didn't enjoy this film, that doesn't mean you won't. No matter what I say, the people involved in this project did it: they actually made a movie. That's something to be applauded. With that established...
Say what you will about 1998’s Armageddon. Its science is laughable, the sentimentality is cheap, the premise raises at least a couple of eyebrows… but one thing it isn’t is boring. The same can't be said about 1979’s Meteor. This space disaster film is likely to put you to sleep and the one thing it had going for it at the time - the special effects - don’t hold up today.
A comet passes through the Asteroid Belt and hits the asteroid Orpheus, sending it on a collision course with Earth. The United States government has only days to find a way to deflect or destroy it before Orpheus creates an extinction-level event. Our best hope rests in Hercules, a secret orbiting nuclear missile platform satellite designed by Dr. Paul Bradley (Sean Connery).
Let’s get one thing out of the way first. This title is awful. Orpheus is not a meteorite; it’s an asteroid. Why’d they call the film Meteor instead of Asteroid? Probably because the studio didn’t want their movie to sound like a butt thing. This movie is much too serious for that sort of nonsense.
While I appreciate a science fiction film trying to remain realistic, Meteor takes it too far. This story has no race to find a solution. Everything we need to save ourselves is already built. Hercules was designed to knock out space threats and doesn’t even require a pilot. How is there any tension then? Well, Hercules is a secret (illegal) missile base. Admitting it exists - even in the face of armageddon - would be embarrassing for the United States government. This means even though Hercules is our only hope, Major General Adlon (Martin Landau) fights Dr. Bradley every step of the way. World’s gonna end but, you know. Gotta hold onto those Cold War grudges. That’s what the movie is REALLY about. The U.S. has Hercules. They figure the USSR has something similar. On their own, neither station would have the firepower required to blast the space rock but together they would. If only we could come together in peace and harmony…
The movie is frustrating because it takes so long to get to the obvious. This movie is no Dr. Strangelove; it’s not funny or subversive. There aren’t any surprises, no unexpected twists. All you do is wait for people to get over their childish hang-ups. Even Dr. Paul Bradley is acting like a big baby. He’s all upset that the government hijacked his satellite and changed it so the missiles aim TOWARD the planet instead of away. Fair enough but come on, man. The planet’s about to blow up. Unless you’re in a weird state of depression or you don't think there's any point in living unless you're a billionaire and want to hold the planet ransom, there’s no point stalling. Just get on the project and save the world. You’ve got a family. Do it for them. Do it for the audience so we can get this over with and move on.
Meteor doesn’t have a story worth watching. It doesn’t have visuals worth seeing either. The small asteroids that end up falling on Earth (the film’s attempts to keep us awake while we wait for the main event) are just glowing balls that go past the screen. The destruction is nothing special (the fact that director Donald Neame uses footage from the 1978 disaster film Avalanche isn’t worth docking points from the overall score, but does show that we’re not talking spectacular in the least). The main asteroid is just a big cragly rock floating in space. It’s no sight to behold. In theory, the characters would pick up the slack. You’d be so worried about them, so invested in their character arcs this would feel like a big deal (it worked for Titanic) but you won’t care about any of this.
With a star-studded cast that includes Natalie Wood and Henry Fonda, it’s a surprise this disaster flick only sparks to life towards the end, when it’s so cloying you can kind of smirk in a mixture of amusement and embarrassment. Meteor is the kind of movie you barely manage to watch once and then forget you ever did. (On VHS, September 26, 2021)

Another day, another post about an asteroid named after mythology. Like I said in my last post, I am going to be covering the asteroids named after the Nine Muses in numerical order based on their minor planet designation (i.e. the name number combo I've been using at the top of all my posts on the asteroids). I hope you enjoy this post.
Calliope is a goddess in Greek (and later Roman) mythology, described as being one of the nine muses, regarded as the eldest. She is the daughter of Zeus and Mnemosyne and the mother of Orpheus and Linus, by either Apollo or King Oeagrus of Thrace. Kalliope is commonly cited as the Muse of Epic Poetry, but was once also regarded as the Goddess of Eloquence. It was said that she defeated the daughters of Pierus in a singing contest and turned them into magpies. It is also said that, when Orpheus was dismembered by the Bakkhantes, she recovered his head and enshrined it on the island of Lesbos. Calliope is commonly portrayed as holding a writing tablet and stylus or a scroll in her hands, sometimes wearing a gold crown, though in older artwork she is portrayed as holding a lyre. She has a beach named after her in Antarctica (Calliope Beach) and the Calliope hummingbird that is found in North and Central America is as well.
The asteroid Kalliope was discovered by John Russell Hind on the 16th of November, 1852 in London, England. Kalliope has one known natural satellite, Linus (or (22) Kalliope I Linus), which was discovered on the 29th of August, 2001 by Jean-Luc Margot and Michael E. Brown and named after one of Calliope's sons. The asteroid takes roughly 1,814 days to travel around the zodiac, spending roughly 151 days in each sign.
Within my own research into the asteroid, Kalliope can be used to represent the native’s propensity for the awe-inspiring, epic writing ability, their grand tales, persuasiveness, fluency with language, and the greater-than-themselves elements of their life. Remember to check the sign, house, degree, and any aspects Kalliope makes when interpreting this placement. You can also have a look at Kalliope’s persona chart if you feel confident enough.

Since Burst has finally ended for both TT and Hasbro (I had this sitting in my drafts ever since we speculated Sparking was the last season), and Hasbro’s been bad since Turbo, I decided to do a “what if?” Specifically, “what if Hasbro exclusives were released by TT and had gimmicks?” (note this is the irl equivalent of headcanons and nothing I say is factually true)
Putting the rest under the cut because it’s long (it’s every Hasbro-exclusive in all of Burst plus images)
Tumblr media
Diomedes D2 Triple Accel: Dire Diomedes Triple Accel. Triple and Accel are parts TT has already released and the only exclusive part is the layer. Other than using a semi-transparent green (like with Kerbeus or Yggdrasil), TT’s version is basically unchanged since it’s a dual layer
Tumblr media
Hyrus H2 Yell Needle: Horn Hyrus Yell Needle. Again, the disc and driver already exist. Being a dual layer, it doesn’t have many changes made to it other than the center being transparent (like all TT dual layers minus Xcalibur). The green parts that stick out are metal, meant to add weight to the layer like Lost Longinus
Tumblr media
Istros I2 Upper Survive: Island Istros Upper Survive. The layer layer only has slight color changes (like all dual layers). Like most dual layers, it doesn’t have a complex gimmick that Hasbro would remove (plus Hasbro didn’t really change the dual layers). Upper and Survive already exist in TT
Tumblr media
Orpheus O2 Armed Defense: Orchestra Orpheus Armed Defense has 2 circles on the bottom corners that are rollers (like Kreis Satan but their positioning is different)
Tumblr media
Surtr S2 Spread Quake: Scorch Surtr Spread Quake. It doesn’t have a gimmick (other than Quake) so the only other changes are to the coloring, like the flames being gradients instead of solid colors
Tumblr media
Tyros T2 Infinity Zephyr: Thunder Tyros Infinity Zephyr has slightly different coloring. Like most dual layers, no major changes
Tumblr media
Asteroid Zeutron Z3 4Meteor Revolve: Asteroid Zeus 4Meteor Revolve. The 3 dots in the center are metal (being a Cho-Z bey). The level chip slot is in one of the black triangles. TT keeps the rest of the parts the same. Other than that, slight coloring changes
Tumblr media
Tide Treptune T3 8Bump Edge: Tide Trident 8Bump Edge (alliterative names didn’t go away after dual layers, like Judgement Joker). The gimmick is virtually the same as Screw Trident and the level chip slot is at the hilt of the trident. Being a Cho-Z bey, it has metal on the trident (specifically the red middle part)
Tumblr media
Balar B4 6 Spiral-S: Rush Balar 6 Spiral features metal on the silver horns (not the ram face in the center). The rest of the parts stay the same (other than it using a regular Spiral’ instead of Spiral-S)
Tumblr media
Cyclops C4 5 Flugel-S: Savage Cyclops 5 Flugel. The gold on the outer section is metal (but the gold on the face isn’t)
Tumblr media
Dullahan D4 7 Tower-S: Riding Dullahan 7 Tower’ features metal on the 4 blades (where Hasbro used metallic paint)
Tumblr media
Gargoyle G4 8 Massive-S: Demon Gargoyle 8 Massive features metal on both silver wings and on the central G
Tumblr media
Kraken K4 11 Prevail-S: Ocean Kraken 11 Prevail has metal on the 2 anchors on the layer. The driver is unique though, as it is the first Hasbro-exclusive part in this post to not be a layer. The Prevail driver is a free-spinning sharp tip (akin to Gyro) with a free-spinning ring around it (like Never or Destroy). Essentially, it’s 2 free-spinning parts in one. The whole driver is similar to Universe, but sharp instead of round and with a smaller ring
Tumblr media
Morrigna M4 2 Loop-S: Night Morrigna 2 Loop has metal on the layer. Specifically, the silver crow in the center
Tumblr media
Ogre O4 1 Jaggy-S: Cave Ogre 1 Jaggy’ has metal on the silver parts of the layer
Tumblr media
Rudr R4 12 Fusion-S: Arrow Rudr 12 Fusion’ features metal on the layer, as well as a bound gimmick. Each of the arrows is on top of a blue wings is metal. Each blue wing is spring-loaded and will be pushed back when hit, cushioning the attack
Tumblr media
Sphinx S2 6 Accel-S: Desert Sphinx 6 Accel’ features metal on the layer and an expanding gimmick similar to Shelter Regulus. At high speeds, the wings pop out like in the image, but when its spin starts to lower, they retract slightly revealing the metal contact points
Tumblr media
Typhon T4 4 Defense-S: Deep Typhon 4 Defense features metal on the layer and a partial free-spin gimmick. The outer ring can rotate 90 degrees in each direction, giving it a total of 180 degrees of movement. This allows for it to act like a free-spinning layer at parts of the match, and like a solid layer at other points
Tumblr media
Poison Cyclops C5 Knuckle Guardian-H: Poison Cyclops Knuckle Guard Zan uses the poison base from Poison Cobra (with the rubber shock-absorption gimmick). The Cyclops chip has average teeth
Tumblr media
Viper Hydrax H5 Python Coil-H: Viper Typhon Python Coil Ten is an evolution to Deep Typhon (Hasbro confirmed it was originally meant to be Viper Typhon). This bey features several gimmicks. The Typhon chip is left-spin. The Viper base has rubber on 2 of its blades (the ones without the gold). The rubber allows it to spin steal or act like offensive blades (akin to Judgement) depending on the opponent’s spin direction. The blades with gold are plastic, but the gold itself is metal. The Python disc features a metal center, with a rubber coating and the rubber is surrounded by plastic. This allows for shock absorption like Screw Trident or the Poison base. The Coil driver is spring-loaded, just like Nothing and Absorb, albeit with a ball shape. However, it also had a spring-loaded outer ring, like Kick
Tumblr media
Shield Kerbeus K5 Infinity Linear-H: Shield Kerbeus Infinity Liner’ Ten has metal on the base (the chains) and a bound gimmick. The bound gimmick is in the green plastic blades between the fixed metal chains, and each blade can be pushed inwards like Hazard Kerbeus’s chains. The Kerbeus chip has the same teeth as the Kaiser Kerbeus layer. The Infinity disc, Liner driver, and Ten weight are all reused parts (but Liner now has a stronger spring)
Tumblr media
Cosmic Kraken K5 Lore Valor-H: Cosmo Kraken Lore Valor Ten uses the standard Cosmo base and Ten weight. The Kraken chip has teeth comparable to that of Ashura. The Lore disc features a mode change like Convert. In 6 blade mode the weight is evenly distributed amongst 6 points. In 2 blade mode, the 6 points are shifted so 3 are stacked together, causing the weight to be evenly distributed amongst 2 points. The Valor driver is a free-spinning flat tip, of similar size to Blow
Tumblr media
Tact Leviathan L5 7 Zephyrus-H: Tact Leviathan 7 Zephyr’ Sou. The only Hasbro-exclusive part is the Leviathan chip, which has similar teeth to Achilles but is left spin
Tumblr media
Monster Ogre O5 Outer Octave-H: Monster Ogre Outer Octa Retsu features metal on the chip (the red ogres) and rubber on the base (the green parts)
Tumblr media
Inferno Salamander S5 Wing Jagged-H: Infernal Salamander Wing Jaggy’ Sou. Infernal (because Inferno Ifrit already exists) has metal and can switch from 5 to 10 blades just like Hell Salamander. The Salamander chip’s teeth are the same as on the Hell Salamander layer
Tumblr media
Solar Sphinx S5 6 Jagged-H: Solar Sphinx 6 Jaggy’ Zan features a gimmick similar to Cho-Z Valkyrie and Tempest Dragon. When hard launched, the wings extend, increasing attack power. When the wings are hit, they can retract giving it a more defensive shape. The Sphinx chip has teeth similar to Diabolos I
Tumblr media
Morrigna M5 11 Banshee-H: Night Morrigna 11 Banshee is a Cho-Z bey released during the GT series, featuring a new driver (like Naked Diabolos having Wave). The Banshee driver is a small rubber ball tip, of a similar size to Defense. It’s like a smaller, non free-spinning Keep
Tumblr media
Spear Dullahan D6 Boost Fusional-SP: Spear Dullahan Fusion’ 1A features metal on the ring (the 4 metallic-painted blades). The Dullahan chip has a metal chip core
Tumblr media
Gilded Balderov B7 Diaqron-Q Zephyr-Q+Press-G08: Gilded Baldur Diaqron High Press’-6’. The Baldur core has similar teeth to Fafnir. The Gilded blade has metal on the silver portions to add weight. The 6’ armor is a slightly modified version of 6, which distributes weight similarly, but is slightly heavier. Diaqron has a similar shape to Variant Lucifer’s layer. High Press’ is self explanatory. It’s Press but taller and with a stronger spring
Tumblr media
Magma Ifritor I7 Ciquex-Q Jaggy-Q+Wave-G03: Magma Ifrit Ciquex High Wave’-12. Everything except the armor and driver are the same as in the anime. Since the anime Magma Ifrit is a QD bey (instead of TT’s DB system), the anime gives it a QD driver. The closest a TT driver gets to it is High Wave (it uses the Wave attachment but because it’s QD it’s taller). It uses High Wave’ instead of just High Wave because Wave was already mediocre and without being dash the driver would be pointless. The 12 armor has a shape similar to 10, but with more points
Tumblr media
Berserk Linwyrm L7 Fq-Q Fusion-Q+Hunter-G05: Berserk Linwyrm Fyquor Hunter’-2’. For differences in the TT version, mainly just more detail on the core and blade. The disc is less hollowed out while keeping the same shape and 2’is a slightly modified 2. The Linwyrm core has teeth similar to Belial I
Tumblr media
Wrath Cobra C7 Aquilon-Q Spiral-Q+Defense-G07: Wrath Hydra Aquilon Defense Metal’-12’ is a left spin defense type, being the only bey since Left Apollos to completely switch spin direction from its predecessor (in this case, Poison Hydra) The silver parts on the Wrath blade are metal. Aquillon keeps its square shape but is thicker and heavier. 12’ is a modified version of 12. Defense Metal’ has the shape of defense, but with a metal ball and a dash spring
Tumblr media
Stone Nemesis N7 Ciquex-Q Needle-Q+A03-G06: Stone Nemesis Ciquex Blow’-3’. The Stone blade has a mode change, allowing it to be in either attack mode (shown in the picture), or stamina mode (the blade has 2 oval layers, in stamina mode they’re perpendicular to each other, like Flash Saggitario from MFB). 3’ is a slightly modified 3
Tumblr media
Katana Muramasa M7 Qq-Q Mobius-Q+Rise-G12: Katana Muramasa Quacchu Metal Rise-10’. The Katana Blade has metal on the swords, giving it outward weight distribution and better stamina. The Quacchu disc is similar to Tapered, but heavier and less smooth, improving weight at the cost of LAD
Tumblr media
Ambush Nyddhog N8 Tapered-Q Eternal-Q+D08-7: Ambush Nidhogg Tapered Rumble-7 is a dual spin defense type. The Ambush blade consists of 6 spring-loaded sections that can be pushed in (like Hazard Kerbeus). The Rumble driver is like Eternal but with rubber instead of POM. This sacrifices stamina for defense
Tumblr media
Hydra Poseidon P8 Nexus-Q Bite-Q+B06-G05: Hydro Poseidon Nexus Billow-2’ is a right spin balance type. The core has metal on the tip of the trident, making it unbalanced. It also has a bound ability like Dragon. The Hydro blade is coated entirely in rubber, and has 2 individual bound sections, one on each side (like Gatling). The Billow driver features a spring-loaded ring like Kick, but the tip is round instead of sharp
Tumblr media
Fierce Bazilisk B8 Qq-Q TA25-Q+S08-G03: Fierce Basilisk Quacchu Flap-12 is a left spin stamina type. The green wings flail out slightly, like Ragnaruk’s stamina wings. The Basilisk core features a small amount of metal towards its center. The Flap driver is a sharp plastic tip surrounded by a free-spinning plate, giving it a similar shape to Rise
Tumblr media
Lightning Pandora Endless P8 Tq-Q Fusion-Q+S10-G16: Lightning Pandora Twist Still-7’. The Lightning blade has rollers similar to the Satan beys, and the pointier edges expand outwards at high speed like Archer Hercules. 7’ is just a slightly modified 7. The Twist disc is very similar to Infinity, but compatible with DB low mode. Still is a free-spinning sharp tip. It’s essentially a cross between Gyro and Just
Tumblr media
Tidal Pandora Epic P8 Nexus-Q Just-Q+A10-G08: Tidal Pandora Nexus Stormy-6’ is a right spin attack type. The Tidal blade has rubber on the blades. The Stormy driver is a rubber driver with a similar shape to Jaggy
Tumblr media
Twister Pandora Evasive P8 Qq-Q Edge-Q+D08-G03: Twister Pandora Quacchu Rumble-12 is a right spin defense type. The Twister blade has a downforce gimmick similar to Wind
Tumblr media
Flame Pandora Everlasting P8 Aquilon-Q Jolt-Q+B10-G12: Flame Pandora Aquilon Flexible-10′. The Flame blade has a bound ability similar to Tempest on its 4 wings, but they do not lock in place (so they have no awakened state like Tempest). The Flexible driver is like a reverse Unite, having a sharp rubber tip coming out of a flat plastic tip
Tumblr media
Ruin Pandemonium P8 Karma-Q Spiral-Q+Lucent-4′: Ruin Pandemonium Karma Lucent-4’. The Pandemonium core has a burst stopper that extends at high speeds and retracts when the bey slows down (similar to Orichalcum). The Ruin blade has metal on the underside (not unlike Guilty). Lucent is a reverse Ultimate Reboot, being a flat rubber driver that transitions into a plastic sharp when it loses spin

Retcons and such
In preparation for the upcoming (much-delayed) chapter release, the entire existing set of chapters on ffnet and AO3 has been updated. See below for notes (note the occasional reference to Chapter 64, that will make sense in retrospect):
## Major: ## Ch. 37 - Revamped scene where Mami learns telepathy from Akari to better match Ch. 64 Ch. 30 - Added discussion of Ryouko's teleport from Orpheus to *HSS Zhukov* to the dream interrogation scene, to better hint at how it foreshadows Vol. III developments Ch. 18/19/26/29 - Added some references to limited Ceph use of biological components in large equipment, in order: "communications jammer", tanks, "heavy armored vehicles", "drive cores". ## Minor: ## Ch. 62 - Change description of clothing for dead Blink interdictor squid from "robes" to "tunics", to better match description of squid seen by Yuma in asteroid video Ch. 61 - Add a mention of "metal adornments" to the squid seen by Yuma in the asteroid video, to match the dead Blink interdictor squid found by Ryouko in Ch. 62 Ch. 61 - Changed the *HSS Shelton Mayson* to be the cruiser Jovan Pritchard now commands, rather than the one he served on early in his career (which is now the *HSS Xiao He*) Ch. 60 - Clarified that the simulations of the pulsar mission played with various guesses at how gravity modulators actually operated (to better explain why their effects differ from the real ones later encountered) Ch. 55 - Vlad no longer suspects the aliens are mining space-time at the pulsar before Asami discovers that fact in Ch. 56 Ch. 50 - No longer claimed that Mami was one of the first to develop a power outside her original skillset (telepathy) Ch. 50 - Slightly adjusted opening Akari snippet, Akari-Mami scene, and Mami-Homura scene to match Ch. 64 (Akari is older than originally planned, Mami is younger, "Diplomacy" changed to "Recruitment and Diplomacy", Mami uses mind-reading instead of trace magic to track down the plane bombers, Akari calls Mami "Mami" instead of "Mami-san") Ch. 48 - Yuma no longer misleadingly implies V2 TacComps aren't yet on a new branch of the TCF Ch. 36 - Kyouko no longer says she's never gotten a vision more elaborate than just the Goddess's voice (this contradicted an earlier statement) Ch. 36 - Ryouko now understands why her arbalest's bolt string snapped in her first demon hunt in Ch. 2 (a limit to her ability to manipulate the mouth of the wormholes she uses to teleport - it can't encompass or drag in something too distant) Ch. 30 - Ryouko no longer says she pushed the alien ships through the Orpheus wormhole, but rather that she reformed the wormhole around them Ch. 18 - Remove reference to personal "forcefield emitters" used in the original failed wormhole mission (these are beyond human tech at the moment) Ch. 12 - Clarification on the nature of the North Korea intervention that accompanied the founding of the Black Heart Ch. 7 - Establish Kishida Maki's age as 21 (has always been around there) Ch. 6 - Update first description of blink drives for clarity, particularly around charging time, which is only "hours" for long-distance blinks Ch. 3 - Homura now implies a total magical girl population of ~3 million pre-war, rather than ~1.5 million (the relevant population details were revised in 2012 but never fixed here) ## Very minor: ## Ch. 62 - Corrected date for Arminius snippet, 2161 to 2461 Ch. 61 - Corrected drop-off factor for pulsar's magnetic field from r^2 to r^3 Ch. 53 - Yuma no longer incorrectly describes Shizuki Sayaka's safehouse as having no surveillance Ch. 51 - Vlad no longer reverting back to his full name of Volokhov Ch. 51 - Mami no longer remembers training Akari to be self-sacrificing, to match Ch. 64 Ch. 50 - Mami no longer says she's never seen Kyubey off-Earth, instead just saying that it's rare Ch. 48 - Nadya no longer incorrectly asks about things she already knows Ch. 45 - Change description of forming of Miki Sayaka Middle School, to be instead a combined secondary school, formed in the 2060s instead of the 2070s, in order to match Ch. 17 Ch. 43 - More rigorously define a metric space Ch. 42 - Ryouko no longer remembers considering confronting her mother over her genetic editing, there's too much risk due to the implanted psychic defense Ch. 42 - Mami no longer uses Ryouko's nickname for grief cube packbots, "CubeBot" (Asami has picked up the nickname from Ryouko, however) Ch. 38 - Made implied sexual activity less explicit and more implied (So can set archive warnings on AO3, sorry) Ch. 31 - The planet Bismarck has now suffered multiple planetoid collisions during its formation, rather than just one Ch. 30 - "Eastern Pacific Defense Organization" renamed to "Asiatic and Pacific Defense Organization" Ch. 23 - No longer incorrectly suggested that Erywnmark will be with Feodorovich's fleet instead of with Mami's fleet Ch. 23 - No longer mentions stealth cruisers, which have otherwise never come up, and which could also have been read to incorrectly state that all cruisers are female Ch. 22 - Mami no longer refers to Akari as "too inexperienced", to match Ch. 64 Ch. 21 - Update terminology of alien post-blink period from "blackout" to "malaise" Ch. 17 - Rename "Miki Sayaka High School" to "Miki Sayaka Secondary School", as it encompasses both junior high and senior high school instruction at this point Ch. 15 - Removed reference to Internal Security at Level 2 classification Ch. 13 - In Human Fleet appendix, changed "Frigate" to "Standard Frigate" Ch. 12 - Reduced described size of CubeBot from having a diameter of "third of a meter" to "fifteen centimeters", to match later description Various - Incubators now consistently use full names when referring to people (except certain cases) Various - General Staff leadership position standardized to "Chair of the General Staff" ("Chief of the General Staff" had sometimes been used before) ## General style and proofreading: ##  - Standardized spelling and capitalization for various words and phrases  - Standardized to metric system except in turns of phrase

cerberus, guardian of the underworld (asteroid 1865)
Tumblr media
Cerberus is the child of Typhon and Echidna and the three headed (thought to represent the past, present, and future) watchdog of the Underworld. According to Hesiod, Cerberus has fifty heads, snakes growing on his back, and a serpent's tail (in Hesoid's version, Cerberus has the ability to turn people to stone with his gaze, similar to Medusa) - traditionally, Cerberus is depicted with three head and the body of a dog. He is thought to devour those who try to escape the Underworld and their punishments. He is meant to keep the living out; the only mythological character who is thought to have fooled him (in order to enter the Underworld) is Orpheus who charmed the beast with his music. Two other instances in which Cerberus appear are Hercules who brought Cerberus to the land of the living (after some biting (I believe it was Hercules who bite Cerberus, not the other way around lol) and chaining (the first ever leash and collar?)) and Sibyl of Cumae (an oracle of Apollo) who feed him a honey-cake. IN MY OPINION Cerberus in your chart can represent a) where you are all knowing or how well you can read others, b) where people fear you and thus can’t get a good enough look at you, c) where you are gluttonous, and d) your relationship with dogs.

i encourage you to look into the aspects of cerberus along with the sign, degree, and house placement. for the more advanced astrologers, take a look at the persona chart of cerberus AND/OR add the other characters involved to see how they support or impede cerberus!

in which two lovers are twined through letters, across time
EMAILS THROUGH TIME
Dear River,
Maybe there is a void our love has created through time, punctured by some divine intervention of the universe. Tell me, my love, if eternity were to end, would you not be the first to know?
Dear Arrow,
A thousand violins, and a thousand trumpets, are nothing compared to the small ‘Ping!’ that my laptop makes when your call sounds. How fare the winds on the earth I have not known? Tell me, do the freckles on your skin resemble the stars in the sky?
Dear River,
They do, indeed. Does your voice roll across your tongue like the Bard’s poetry? I should assume so, you write so beautifully.
Dear Arrow,
You have an unusual name, do you not? But in silent hours of the deepest twilight, I do hear your name, between my waking and dreaming hours. Maybe names along with times are different in your age than they are in mine. For the better, perhaps?
Dear River,
Do not hope for the future, dear River, hope seems dim. Ruin and ruination ride the tide of your future. Humans are selfish, River. They care for naught but themselves. You are different, are you not? You seem so. Listen to the stars faraway, they shall murmur my story in the skies.
Dear Arrow,
Our tether is weak, my love, but it perseveres. Tarry not, for the stars have spoken. They whisper your name, amongst the ruination that has befallen my time. There are still stories, are there not? Is it not the same moon that we gaze upon at night?
Dear River,
Indeed so. Listen, River. Let no eyes, save for yours, pull their gaze upon the words we share. Danger surrounds the stout hearts of those whom I love. Let not yours be one.
Dear Arrow,
There are sinister waves in these waters. I feel it too. I think the end begins. Will there be an asteroid hurtling towards the earth, carrying the promise of death? I wonder, how shall the world end?
Dear River,
Nor am I older than you, perhaps less experienced even. But I tell you with all surety my mind could muster. The world shall end in a whimper, in a whisper, not of the ‘Bang’ they tell you in NewsNets. What would you say?
Dear Arrow,
I believe you may be right. Though I do not know yet the ‘NewsNets’ that you talk about. Wisdom precedes age, I believe. You are the epitome of my very thought, my darling River. I I have another question of you; Would you call this love real? This love, that knows no lips, no faces, no touch?
Dear River,
The greatest lovers and loves know no time, no space, do they not? Do we both not know the love of Paris and Helen? Laila and Majnun? Orpheus and, dare I say, Eurydice? The greatest difference I believe is that no ballads, no songs shall be written for us, my love. Our fingers are twined behind the stage, under the table. Unsung, but never forgotten.
Dear Arrow,
The world ends, how shall I keep writing to you? How did you carry on? Such heavy hearts, such heavy souls are fraught upon this ship. I wonder how longer might I be one of them. My silence seems not eternal, I hope. I suppose you shall hear from me again?
Dear River,
Hold on, my love, hold on. Did you know? In my time doves still exist. Pearly white creatures are they, clinging to the debris that litters this earth. Do not say such a farewell, our love has miles to go yet. Let my grief not be the carrier that our love seeks.
Dear River,
My world remains the same, I suppose yours does no longer. Is this silence eternal? Shall I find no comfort? River, please. I cannot keep waiting for your answer.
Dear River,
The asteroid you spoke of, they have brought our home down to its knees. I still hope for an answer. Return to me, return to my world for a second longer. I still do not know how longer can this divine intervention can last.
Dear River,
My world has ended so many times before in these past years. But not like this. Never like this.

Note
Please tell us about the asteroid Orpheus (3361) in the 1st house in conjunction with Venus.  Thank you.
Don't know much of this asteroid as well 😅 But since it's in the first house conjunct Venus, it would probably mean that your lover is very important to you & you would literally do anything for them. You're very protective and loving. Let's all remember that Orpheus went to HADDES in the Underworld where no mortal and alive person ever went to get back his beloved 🥺
Watch out though since this extreme (public) display of attention might be your downfall. Don't be impatient with your lover (remember what happened when he turned around of curiosity - he lost his lover forever). Give your space and time they need.
