last night's episodes of totnt mostly irritated me with very bad pacing, which is a shame, because I was so charmed by the lead up. there have been too many redundant meetings and also too many people stopping to monologue about how sad it will be if Lee Yeon dies. >:( I was ready to have brainworms for at least two weeks, show. Also, going into the final episodes there has still been no actual explanation for why the main character abandoned his kid brother on a burning mountain with a dead puppy aside from "he was very sad." im beginning to question whether he was locked in a hell dimension at all.

#on the bright side Lee Rang was annoying again like you don't understand people who have not watched this show #this man is SO annoying #did Lee Yeon think the kid was dead after their house burned down? #because surely! surely!!! #when your forest your little brother lives in burns to the ground you try to check up on him #unless you've been locked in a hell dimension which is what I had been assuming happened #it's also weird that they've gone through a lot of trouble to establish that Lee Yeon's devoted bff/nanny is great with kids #and yet! #we never see him with kid Lee Rang in the flashbacks and they don't come across as having been particularly close #like why #if you personally cannot deal with your sadness for long enough to pick your kid up #would you not at least send your bro who is great with kids? #i do like that the dude seems to have learned from his experiences with this family #Lee Rang rocks up sans child and he's just like WHERE IS THE CHILD DID YOU LEAVE THE CHILD ALONE #press says totnt #oooh ok I think I've figured it out #Lee Rang knows where he went #he just never heard from him again after he left #and Lee Yeon did said he tried to come back for him #so sequence of events seems to be #Lee Yeon told Lee Rang he was leaving #for samdocheon #possibly even why he was quitting being a mountain god #he thought Lee Rang would be fine on the mountain by himself with his puppy which #fine ok it seems like he was on his own with the puppy a lot anyway #he was depressed and uninvolved after that point but did not intend to ditch the kid entirely #when he found out the mountain had burned he #went back to look for him but Lee Rang had already booked it #the next he heard of him was when his face popped up on the most wanted list #and he'd either thought he was dead or had been looking for him up to that point

It had been six months since that first night with Harvey, and ever since then he’d been nothing short of a perfect gentleman. He made it a point to always open the car door for you, made surprise dinner reservations after secretly checking your calendar, and you frequently came into your office to find flowers, breakfast, coffee, or just little notes from him. They were little things, but they were things that no guy had ever done for you before. You never exactly announced your relationship to the office, but everyone had mostly figured out that something had been going on.

"Oooh those are pretty, I wonder who those are from" Rachel teased as she walked into your office, nodding at the rather large vase full of flowers. She knew about you and Harvey, of course.

"Check out the card, it says it's from a secret admirer" You said, handing her the card that came with the flowers.

“For the most beautiful woman I’ve ever seen, I am so lucky to know you” she read the card aloud. "So I take it things are still going well with you two?"

"Honestly, things are really great. I know it’s pretty early still but, I can’t help but feel like this is the real deal. We've been opening up a lot to each other, he's been really sweet." You gushed.

"That's amazing! How did it go after he told you about Scottie? I mean I don't even know how I'd react"

You were puzzled, of course you knew about Scottie, everyone in the office knew about her and Harvey’s former relationship. For Rachel to bring her up like this, something else had to have happened.

"Told me... what about Scottie exactly?"

Rachel's froze, realizing that Harvey in fact had not told you about the recent development regarding his ex-girlfriend.

"Um, she's going up against Harvey on a case. She'll be in the office this week for a deposition. I'm sorry Y/N, I really thought you knew." Rachel apologized, feeling awful she had to be the one to break the news to you.

You’d known about his history with Scottie for a while now, he’d mentioned her to you and, through the work grapevine, you’d gathered that at one time Scottie meant the world to Harvey. The logical part of your brain knew that he wouldn’t leave you to go back her, but the fact that he hid it from you that she was coming into the office, gave you a pit in your stomach anyways.

"It's ok Rachel, don't worry about it. On an unrelated note, I'm going to see Harvey. Thanks for letting me know." You said, standing and smoothing out your dress before marching down to Harvey's office.

He looked up too briefly to notice the look on your face before he spoke.

"Hey babe, sorry I didn't come see you yet today, I've just been swamped."

"So swamped you couldn't seem to find the time to tell me you have a case against Scottie?"

"Excuse me?"

"Harvey, why did I have to find out about your ex-girlfriend coming into our workplace from someone who isn't you?" You pressed further, the anger bubbling inside your chest.

The look on Harvey's face was one you'd never seen pointed in your direction before, but you weren't about to back down.

"I didn't tell you because I didn't think it mattered!" He said, raising his voice now.

"Why would you think that wouldn't matter to me? You had a serious relationship with her and she's opposing counsel on your case, that's something you should at least consider sharing with the person you're dating!"

"What exactly do you think is going to happen in that room? I have work to do during a deposition, and the last thing that would ever be on my mind is sleeping with another woman who isn't you!"

"It isn't you I don't trust Harvey! How do you not see that? I don't know this woman, how could you expect me to trust her? I know she was in love with you, and I know that things have heated up with you two during cases in the past. I don't understand how you're blaming me for feeling like this."

He sighed, clearly irritated. He focused his attention back on the paperwork he had on the desk, not even bothering to look up at you as he spoke. His voice was quieter now, but still every bit as angry.

"I can't believe you're being this insecure over something so stupid. If you can't believe me when I say that I won’t allow anything to happen between me and Scottie ever again, then maybe we shouldn’t be together after all. Anyone who knows me knows that I'm not that guy, and I thought you knew me better than that." He responded coldly.

You scoffed in shock. You couldn't believe he was actually serious in turning this around on you. Your stomach turned now.

"Insecure? Right, okay. You know what, why don't you call me when you have your shit together enough to figure out why I'm angry right now, and why that was fucked up of you to say." You said loudly, turning on your heel and storming off, back to your office.

You faintly heard him call your name as you walked, but you didn’t dare turn back, and he didn't follow either.

Not two minutes after you returned to your desk, Donna was in your doorway, a sheepish look on her face.

"Donna, it wasn't your fault." You said, not giving her a chance to even blame herself.

"I know, but I should've known he hadn't told you. I told him you'd want to know, I just figured maybe he'd listen for once." She explained.

You sighed, your eyes landing on the vase of flowers from that morning. Tears threatened to fall from your eyes, but you were fighting them hard.

"For what it's worth, he may be an ass but I know he cares about you, more than anyone I’ve seen him with. He can't see anyone else now that he's with you, I really wouldn't worry about Scottie. Harvey shouldn’t have said what he said to you, that was totally out of line. He’ll figure it out soon and probably come baring more flowers.”

The dam broke, and the tears fell. The hurt you still felt from Harvey’s words combined with Donna’s reassurances were too much.

"Thanks Donna" You said, sniffling.

She gave a sad smile before letting you know she had to get back to work, leaving you with a ‘hang in there’ as she departed.

You took a few deep breaths and wiped your tears before getting back to work, throwing yourself deep into your files. Maybe not the best coping mechanism, but it kept you busy enough to not think about Harvey. This worked for a little while, but slowly his harsh words would creep back into your mind, making you cry fresh tears all over again.

As time went on and the sun had long gone down, you felt your head start to pound. The time on your laptop showed 9:15 pm. You stretched a little, deciding to call it a night and head for home. It seemed that everyone else had left the office a while ago, if the silence of the halls rather than the typical hustle and bustle was any indication. The closer you got to the end of the hall, however, you heard music floating through the silence. If the office at the end of the hall belonged to anyone other than Harvey, you’d think this was the beginning of a ghost story about a haunted office building. The melody was somber. You walked forward, slower now, as you neared his office.

“Shit, why is he still here?” You thought. “He’s normally gone by 8 latest”

You stood there in the hall only inches from his door, debating on what to do. You knew he’d see you when you walked by, and even if he didn’t he would surely hear the elevator ding.

As you weighed the possible outcomes, you really had no time to react when you saw him suddenly walk out of his office, pausing too when he noticed you.

“Oh, Y/N. Hey, I was just coming to see if you were still here.”

“I was just going home.”

“Your home? Or mine?” He asked, in a tone that sounded like he didn’t want to know the answer.

You’d been sleeping at Harvey’s many nights since you started dating, in fact you weren’t even certain of the last time you’d slept in your own bed.

“Mine. After what you said to me, I don’t think I feel welcome at yours right now.”

It was only then that Harvey took in your appearance, and his heart dropped. You looked completely exhausted, the mascara on your eyes was long gone, and your cheeks and eyes were tinted red. He knew you’d been crying, and the look on his face was one of pure agony. He felt awful.

“I… Y/N I’m so sorry. I’m sorry I didn’t tell you about Scottie. I just really didn’t think you’d care since I know how much I trust you. I lashed out and I yelled at you, and I shouldn't have done that. I didn’t think about your perspective, and I’m just so sorry. I never should’ve said that stuff to you" He said, slightly out of breath from his passion.

Tears openly fell from your eyes once again as you listened. You stepped forward, not responding. He reached for you, wiping the tears gently from your cheeks. You buried your face in his chest as he wrapped his arms around you firmly. He rested his chin on the top of your head, whispering how sorry he was.

“Can I kiss you?” he asked quietly after a moment of silence.

“Please”

He didn’t waste another second before locking your lips with his. The kiss was full of longing and despair.

“I thought I lost you, and it was all my fault. I've never felt like this about anyone else, and the second I realized what I did I felt sick that I made you feel that way. I didn't know what to do.” Harvey rambled.

“Shhh, Harvey, It’s okay now. I’m right here, and I'm not going to leave you.”

He sighed in relief, closing his eyes briefly before opening them again and looking into yours.

"What did I do to deserve you?"

"It helps that you're handsome." You said, a smile growing on your lips.

Harvey chuckled, placing a hand on your lower back and walking you into his office so he could grab his stuff and lead you to the elevators.

"I'd love to have you over tonight, but I understand if you're not ready."

You smiled, grabbing his hand and kissing the back of it.

"If you want me to come, then I'd love to come over"

"Good. I don't think I could've gone another minute without you"

So today I finally get to see Jenna again and I'm terribly excited.

Jen: Hi love, did you sleep well ?

It's sweet she asks if i slept well because she knows I have trouble sleeping even more when I'm not with her. But currently I couldn't give a fuck less about my sleeping schedule.

You: Who gives a shit I FINALLY get to see you today !!

Jen: Oh yes that's right ! Omg I forgot it's already the day !

You: How could you forget ? I'm terribly offended.

Jen: Come on I'm sorry I really can't wait to see ya love ❤️

You: Yeah sure

Jen: Don't be like that

You: Ok ok I'm sorry

I'm really excited to see you tho ❤️

Oh right so whenever me or Jenna are doing a scene where we're kissing someone else we call those scenes "lovey dovey scenes" to not make the other one jealous. Which never works by the way.

You: Right I forgot that's basically all the movie is about.

Anddd now I'm jealous and she knows it.

She can't be the only one to tease.

My plan arrived, and I've been looking around for Jenna until I saw a small figure looking around like I was. She turned around, and a smile immediately grew on her face. She ran up to me, hugging my waist tightly. "Hi baby. I've missed you so bad." She said, her face buried in my chest. "I've missed you too, love." My face in her neck holding her for dear life. She pulled away to kiss me softly. That's only when I realised she's still wearing Mabel's outfit. Oh God.

"You're still wearing Mabel's fit." I said while checking her out. "Yeah, you like it ?" She smirked. Fucking tease. "Yeah it looks even better in real life," I look up at her, not looking away from her mesmerising eyes, "you look so good, love." She just smiled at me, taking my hand in her. "Thank you sweetheart," she took some of my baggage and start walking toward her car, "by the way you know I worked real hard today." She made an allusion of our conversation earlier, I like to think that she kept thinking about that all day. "Remebered that huh ? Could you even think of something else all day ?" I teased her, I'm getting my revenge today.

"No I couldn't this is why I worked so hard, I mean, I had to think about something else than you which was really considering the pic that you send me so I think I deserved my reward." She started to ramble as she opened the door for me, I mumbled a small 'thank you' before starting to talk. "Right, you do deserve your reward." I smirked, seeing how hard I affected her.

Jenna is usually the one who has an effect on me and totally controls me, but from time to time, she lets me take control for a moment, so I'm enjoying it. Plus, I know as soon as she asks me to get down on my knees, I will.

On the way to the set of Finestkind, we talked about our day, going back and forth on random topics too. Once there, she made me meet everyone, but she hurried our way to her trailer.

"Remebered what I told you about recreating that lovey dovey scene ?"

"Yeah, I do, but what exactly was the scene ?"

"Let me show you ? You're Charlie, and I'm Mabel, ok love ?"

I only nodded, letting her guide me for now.

Jenna is currently lying on her back while I'm kissing her stomach, begging for her to let me taste her. "Please, pretty please." I'm so desperate for her, but how could I not be? She has been teasing me for the past hour. It goes from pulling my hair away from a kiss to denying me pleasure her. It's driving me crazy and she's loving it, maybe too much.

"What do you want, baby ?" She smirked down at me. "You. Just you, please." I'm turning into a whining mess. She pretended to think for a moment before answering me. "Mmh, I don't know. Why should I ?" She's being cruel. She knows it, a small tear run down my eye. I buried my face in her thigh, holding her like my life depended on it. "Because you worked so hard today, you need to release some stress." She can't deny me for too long she'll eventually give in.

"Okay, then have me, baby." She caressed my hair softly, I looked up at her checking if she was playing with me, but I realised she wasn't and immediately started to get to work.

We're having a long night.

i’m curious about your take on strawberry nightmare! to you, what’s he like? how does he act? what’s he all bout?

He is annoying (/aff hehe), and even more so to regular Nightmare. I tried to figure out (still am, I guess) how to put the flavor theming and '2P!' thing together, but here's what I have in my head for him ^^ (ramble warning!)

Finding out that the concept of '2P!' variants existed in UTMV too, made me happy! Usually 2P!s are inverted or flipped versions of the original character— think Fell'd or Swap'd versions in UTMV terms— so I thought:

Huh. If he's supposed to be a flipped version of Nightmare, would he have similarities with Swap!Dream? 🤔 But softer, nicer? 'cause he's also strawberry milk-themed! 🍓 flavors and aesthetics can be associated with soft, nice, sweet, cheery, and pretty...

(And sometimes, behind that pretty pink, lies red danger. While regular Nightmare clearly shows that he is a threat, S!NM hides it behind a layer of sweetness; (like a yandere— I explored yandere S!NM here), like a 'nice' character hiding their bad side—

But don't worry! Only those who are deserving of his wrath will face it. He's mean when he needs to. The simps are safe, as well as the people he cherishes! He can be a patient man. Just don't be on his bad side and you'll be a-ok! 👍(⁠◠⁠‿⁠・⁠)⁠—⁠☆

He's like... If regular NM decided to go uwu for the bit, but forever.........(/hj)

He is friendly, a flirt, flips between being all cutesy and rizzing up the simps,

nicely offers you (suspicious— he loves making people doubt LOL) pink sweets in exchange for company or simply as thanks for spending time with him

(A king can feel so lonely sometimes 😩😔 esp w/o his dear brother around... so maybe he has a massive pink house instead of a castle :] Oooh, imagine how pink and aesthetic the interior would be...),

likes messing with the original Nightmare (Ah!! NM hosting parties! Him getting invited! Yes, he'd def talk to the king of the castle but tries to be civil! This is a nice fancy party with lots of people around; he's not gonna ruin this for anyone 😤 he just wants to socialize!!)

(Yes he owns a few creative 🍓-themed suits, why wouldn't he lean towards his aesthetic 😤)

Like any Guardian of Feelings, he can manipulate/control emotions. He can pull out one's negative emotions to calm them down, and he can also make one feel nervous or any other mix of feelings in his presence, just like how his original counterpart does.

As for his role in the multiverse, I'd say he honestly just tries to have fun. Yk, jus a lil chaos. Teehee. No multiverse domination or anything, he just likes being a menace to people hehehe

An idea I thought of a few times is him hinting that he has visited Nightmare's castle (whether he actually talked to NM or not) by leaving strawberry milk (carton/bottle) in the fridge for the others to see and be confused by.

'hey guys where's my choccy milk? did any of you drink it?? it was my last box!' - 'why is there strawberry milk again... none of you drink this...' - 'who keeps getting this pink stuff'

NM eventually informs them about this visitor, and to be cautious, just... Don't drink whatever pink thing he leaves in the fridge.

I've never really thought of what S!NM's backstory would be, what him and his Dream's 'Dreamtale AU' would be, so right now, he's just... There one day (lol) with a brother that keeps? running away from him?? (His Dream is 🟦 instead of 🟨! (I saw an artist drew him as such) And while 🍓 is happy and excited, 🔵 is kinda gloomy... Interesting to see a happy Negativity Guardian and a grumpy Positivity Guardian...)

I think Raph would be very upset about this, especially if they hadn't realized Donnie was a soothe sayer yet. What if they only figure it out/was revealed after Donnie fell into a waking dream!? Like you said it's really hard to tell the difference so maybe Donnies been asleep in his lab for several days and Raph goes to check on him only to realize that Donnies markings are glowing and it looks a lot like what happens when Leo has a vision

Oooh that's a good idea! and probably better than the Donnie's Soothe Sayer reveal i had been thinking of (which was just Draxum going "I've found out that soothe sayers have marks like this!" and everyone looks at Donnie.)

I mean, a few things would probably end up changing a bit, since it would likely end up happening After Leo's own Waking vision incident (simply b/c that's the first time the other two witness any sort of vision from the twins). So, the reason they called Donnie during Leo's waking vision would likely change slightly (maybe b/c he knew more about leo's visions then they did? Or simply b/c Leo keeps calling for him during it.) and exactly how forthcoming Leo was about his powers. (Like downplaying how important and rare it was so Donnie probably wouldn't know his own powers were special either and not realize it was information that needed to be shared.)

So after Leo's waking vision, Draxum and Splinter would grudgingly team up to steal into the Councils library and learn more about seers (specifically to figure out how to find the missing one.) and be gone for several days as a result.

While their away, i could see Donnie accidentally falling into his own waking vision. (maybe b/c he wanted to work through the night but needed a brief nap, so he set an alarm for like 20 minutes and it went off mid-vision thus causing a waking vision.)

So by the time Draxum and Splinter come back with the information they needed (and their own realization that Donnie is the soothe sayer) they just come back to this

and know that the boys have already figured out Donnie's powers on their own.

(everyone's sleeping. Ok, Leo and Mikey are sleeping. Raph's not b/c he wants to keep an eye on Donnie, and Donnie isn't by definition.)

(have i mentioned, i'm having too much fun drawing this au? b/c i'm having too much fun drawing this au. especially just Raph being really sweet with his siblings.)

I kind of really like it, lol. it's so much more dramatic of a reveal then Draxum accidentally telling them on a technicality.

First Contact: The Laser Incident

In your defense, when you had selected the "laser" option that popped up on the screen of your gauntlet you had expected a laser pointer. One of those green, high powered ones used to help locate stars and planets. The large, smoldering crater that now marred the garish pink wall proved otherwise.

On one hand you were glad your large, flame themed ward had not been around to witness this. He had dumped you onto his desk and traipsed off chattering away in a collection of garbled clicks and electronic noises. But how would he react to this situation? The mech may seem overly friendly but you had never damaged anything before. What kind of punishment could (or would) he inflict on you?

'Maybe he won't notice' an overly-optimistic voice chirps from within your head. It sounded awfully similar to your 10 year old self, and delusional at that. No way anyone could miss a hole that size suddenly materializing in their living space. As if summoned by your thoughts alone, the tell-tale shakes of someone approaching the room manifested. Man, did it feel like your universal luck was terrible. So you did what anyone would naturally do.

You quickly scramble back inside the little "habitat" Rodimus had set up on his desk. As you hid under the various towels that made up your bedding, you felt like a child who had broken something and was about to get a severe scolding. You were only holding off the inevitable, you knew that. All you could do was hunker down in your shame and fear as the loud shwoosh of an opening door sealed your fate.

Rodimus opened his mouth to call out to his little friend and froze at the smell of burning metal. Turning his head slightly to the right his optics widen at the smoldering crater in his wall. He quickly steps over and bends down to get a better look, squinting in confusion. "How the hell ...?" He reaches up and activates his comm link. "Yo Brainstorm! You been making laser weapons again? We talked about this!" "Do you have any idea how little that narrows things down? Most of our weapons are laser based." "Ok but I think one of them somehow blew a hole in my wall? How exactly would that happen?" Rodimus grouses back, picking at the edges of the crater. He was not looking forward to the patch and paint job this would require. "Uh, honestly that doesn't ring any bells. I've been working on these holomatter avatars for the past 24-hours, so no touching any weaponry ... I can feel your judgy, non-believing stare over the comms, but I'm telling the truth." Brainstorm protests.

Rodimus vents out a long, tired sigh. "Fine, I'll let go and presume this isn't related to you. But someway, somehow I now have a blaster hole in my office and I want to figure out who, and how." "Oooh want to make sure our little fleshy friend didn't become fried eh? I can't really see anyone-"

Rodimus jolts up from his position as he sputters out "Okgoodtalkgottagobye" and quickly hangs up on Brainstorm. What if you were hurt? Or Primus forbid dead? He rushes over to his desk and rips the top of your "habitat" off in a panicked frenzy.

You scream and blindly burrow further into the towels, choosing flight over fight. You're a shaking mess as you feel those warm, yellow hands close in and scoop you up, towels and all. You wince as Rodimus peels off the towels with enough force to almost feel bruising. But the worst is when he lifts you up to eye-level, and you can feel him scrutinizing you through your space suit to an almost molecular degree. His expression shifts from panicked to grinning in moments though, and you find yourself suddenly pressed against his chest as the autobot lets out what you can only describe as some kind of "green noise".

As Rodimus hums to comfort both you and himself, he carefully relaxes into his office chair. You're safe, and that matters more than some stupid hole in his wall.

This one is quite silly. It's a modern high school AU. It was inspired by a story I heard of a friend of a friend who had a tooth knocked out and the replacement tooth glowed in the dark. I think WWX is just the kind of guy that this would happen to, so to make it Wangxian I imagined that they would somehow get stuck in a cave with no light and LWJ would see his tooth glowing and be unable to keep from kissing him. I got weirdly stalled on it when I got the clarification that the real life incident was not actually a glow in the dark tooth, but a tooth that glowed in blacklight. For some reason this stopped me in my tracks. Recently I figured out how to go on anyway, but I ALSO figured out that it needs more buildup than what I had written, so it's still destined to languish for a while.

It was actually one of the first fics I started, and looking at it now I can tell I've gotten better at writing! Funny how that keeps happening.

Oooh that's a tough one! 🤭 I don't really have just one movie, but I will say that the older Disney movies tend to put me in a feel good mood ^^ Movies like Atlantis that I watched so much as a kid, or even ones that I finally got to watch this year like Treasure Planet, are some of the best!

I think it might be the 2D art styles. It's just nostalgic to me ^^

OH! And I can't forget the Mario Movie! 🤭 That movie and the hype up to it was one of the best feelings this year...And I still get happiness whenever I watch the scenes and experience so many emotions. I know it has flaws some I think that are a bit overblown imo but I waited over 20 years for a proper Mario Movie experience - of course this movie makes me feel so much ;_;

I just wanted to note real quick why I haven't written these yet.

Rodimus/Jazz: I have nooooo idea how to write friends with benefits. This is a Me thing because I just... don't really get it. For me, a physical relationship is rooted in emotion, and it just doesn't math inside my head. So! I'm not sure I can do a fwb situation correctly/properly. ALSO SECRET FUNFACT: this relationship was supposed to be in Echo Garden, but I thought it would make the story too complicated and by the time I sorta figured out what to do, it was much too late. The gist was that as the LL jumps dimensions, Rodimus hooks up with friendly Jazzes, cuz they just kinda, get along. There is a way I could sprinkle this throughout the story but, eh, at this point, I think Rodimus's past with Drift is enough.

TC/Siren: LOL. I just like the pun here xD Haven't written it cuz I don't have an idea yet for how and why they meet and why they wanna get together.

Flatline/Obsidian: oooh I love these guys' designs. They ARE both dark weirdos. But my personal interpretation of Flatline is as ace/aro so to write him in a pairing with another character feels kinda ick to me. But if I can get over it, I really would like to try. [also YES I know ace/aro people can be in relationships, let me make it really clear that, like point 1 above, I don't think I can write it right]

Nautica/Riptide/Blaster: I've written this many times in my head ;)

My Thoughts as I Watched Episodes 2 and 3 of Between Us.

in which your intrepid reporter files her article two weeks late

I actually watched them and wrote this two weeks ago, but didn't post it because I had vague plans to write more about them. But I want to catch up on the next two episodes, so any additional thoughts will wait for after that. The summary is: I continue to love the show, and it continues to make sense to me without seeing Until We Meet Again

Episode 2

- Ok, I think my initial prediction will be laughably wrong. It looks like so far Win is absolutely not trying to hide how he feels. Team though is. It's all very cute, I'm really into their dynamic. And they have CHEMISTRY, my goodness. I loved Team's reaction after Win left his room—his big sigh, his trying to hide his big smile even from himself.

- I just find Win so utterly charming. It makes the whole thing work; he might come across as a bit of a creep otherwise. I love his little smirk to Tul as he gets in the elevator.

- OH MY GOODNESS! Is there going to be a romance between Tul and Win's older brother?! - A gamer, internet stranger romance? I am so here for this. (Also Tul's actor has gotten even hotter as he's gotten older.)

- Ah, besides age gap we have a sprinkling of Forbidden Romance. Win is not supposed to be dating his juniors in the club. I dig it.

- Speaking of age gap (and perhaps this is because I've been watching Cutie Pie) hearing Team call Win Hia is very seductive. Especially that he's contouring to do it after Win asked for it in the heat of the moment. Whew. I cannot blame Win for being captivated by this boy.

- It does feel like this is going to be a very simple story—just two people fumbling their way toward falling in love—without a lot of plot happening around them. Interesting with all the reincarnation drama happening in the background. Since I like the characters and their actors, I like this simplicity.

- Also, now I can see why everyone was so frustrated that Even Sun was bad. These two are so good together.

- I love how much they talk during while making out. I love how conversation about consent and who they are to each other are made such a natural part of it, and also really hot. That "kiss me" !!! I also love how much they're into slamming each other into walls. These two can seriously convey desire and lust. It really feels like they want to fuck.

- I like how Team is worried about what he means to Win, and still figuring out what it means to desire someone, but he doesn't hold back sexually.

- I'm nervous that they will be discovered at some point; that no one will see us felt very foreshadow-y. And I really liked the questions that Team was asking - is either of us using each other, what happens if we break up - both because they're good questions and because it feels like something he would do. But it also felt a bit foreshadowing.

Episode 3

- Ooh, another side romance? That brings the total up to five romance pairs in this show (so far!). That is a lot to balance, I hope the script can manage it. And it's Fee from My Only 12%! (I had to look him up, he looked familiar but I couldn't figure out from where.)

- I saw the Wabi Sabi logo, and I realized there were several overlapping actors, but somehow it wasn't until now that I connected this was made by the same production company as My Only 12%. It makes sense, although the overall feeling of the show is different, a lot of the things I like productions wise are the same. They both feel like money was spent on making a professional product. And they both are good at making friend groups feel natural, which is not always the case. (And also why Sea looked familiar - he was Cake's university friend Auk in My Only 12%.

- Oooh that drunk/flashback scene. I will come back to that later.

- One thing I love is that I feel like I can trust Win not to try anything while Team is drunk because he was so careful to make sure that Team was sober enough to consent the first time. There are many drunken hook ups in BLs that I've loved (Love Mechanics, Big Dragon, in its own toxic way), but that thread of toxicity doesn't fit their dynamic, and it's such a relief to trust that the show won't go there.

- Team's actor plays drunkenness well. I love the way Win responds to it, switching between feeling he needs to be the stern mentor figure, annoyance, fond indulgence, and feeling desire, despite his best intentions.

- I feel vindicated in my initial snap judgements of their characters. (Well, and also this show did a good job introducing them.) Team literally calls Win "the cool one" and Team is becoming more and more chaotic now that the he's no longer on his beginning-of-the-school-year best behavior. (Also several people have affirmed to me that he is indeed a chaos monkey.)

- This flashback! I guess these two won't be all sex and awkward flirting after all, they will have their own angst and pain. It was hinted at in their breakfast date when Team was so shaken by the ordinary question of, "do you have siblings," but honestly I got distracted and forgot. I suspect this was something that was not known in UWMA, it's the kind of secret that wouldn't be shared about the side couple.

- Darling Win's response. I think I will write a separate list about what I like about this pair, because there are a lot of things.

- I love how Manow and Team are teasing Pharm about Dean. Seeing these hints does make me want to watch that series more now.

- Tul and Waan! I already love them. I assume they're brand new for Between Us; there's no reason that they would have been in Dean and Pharm's awareness. Tul has such a crush! The way he's smiling at his phone!

- I guess with the way UWMA opened I shouldn't be surprised by this traumatic memory of his brother drowning. But it's still hard to watch.

- Ok, but how are the dorms at the university so enormous! And singles! This can't be what any actual university dorms are like in Thailand, right? I lived in doubles half that size freshman year.

- I have a lot of thoughts comparing this, Love in the Air and Big Dragon all to each other. I'll save most of it for another post, but I'm intrigued by the different depictions of a dominant older character winning over a bratty younger character. I don't know if Win and Team are intended to be explicitly dom and sub, but the age gap, the power difference, Win's caretaking tendencies and Team's... whole thing (traumatized, anxious, pouty) have created that dynamic between them anyways. And I really like it here!

1 - what are 3 things you’d say shaped you into who you are?

hmmm..... on a bit of a sad note, when i was a kid/young teen, i was always very much an outcast. people consistently found me weird and offputting, and i was very lonely. but i remained true to myself no matter what-- i knew it was pointless to try and "fit in" (because i'd always do it "wrong" anyways)-- so i have a very strong sense of who i am, and i am determined to love myself no matter what. it is also because of this that i'm so determined to be kind. i want to make others feel welcome and loved around me. i don't want to ever treat anyone the way i was treated. i know how much it hurts to be alone, so i want to do what i can to ensure that it won't happen to the people around me. so that's thing #1.

uhhh secondly! for a more lighthearted example, i'd say being in fandom! i've always kind of just kept to myself and have never been involved in major drama, so fandom has always been a favourable experience for me. it started when i was a young teen on pinterest just staring at (what i now know was stolen) fanart and obsessing over my faves, and now i'm on tumblr doing the exact same thing years later! but now i have online friends :) my interests have always brought me so much joy, and having a space to obsess over them as much as i want has just made me even more passionate i think. :3

thirdly, i'd say jazz music. my parents love jazz and play it very often at home. it's a genre i grew up listening to, so it just feels warm, familiar, and home-like. it also inspired me to learn the saxophone in junior and senior high school, and i loved playing jazz songs with others. jazz has been with me for so long :,)

I think I've read a fic like that, but with a different ship. (and also I remember a fic called something like "doctors of love" where Steve and Robin have a podcast and Nancy needs a date to her relatives wedding)

So credits to both (can't remember the name of the first one) for the first part. The other stuff just came to my mind

Nancy needs a date for a wedding (Honestly you don't girl, but also she's annoyed by her relatives constantly kinda insulting her about not having a boyfriend or smth), but she doesn't want to ask any boys out. So after some kind of events, Robin's now dressed up as a boy and pretends to be Nancy's boyfriend at the wedding.

Where she gets interrogated by Karen, since she's never seen the boy in her life, and asked a bunch of questions of what her intentions with her daughter and other stuff. Which Robin's truthfully answers, because she is actually in love with Nancy.

And Nancy actually tried to hide Robin's from her parents (mostly her mom) because she didn't want them to think she has a boyfriend. Because now she needs to invited 'him' over for dinner and Robin's is nervous but also trying not to laugh because this situation is so bizarre.

So they somehow are fake dating with Robin disguising as Nancy's boyfriend for a period of time... Or something idk..

And Karen is absolutely smitten by 'Robbie'. So even after they break up, Karen invites 'him' over. So Robin is kinda stuck as him for a while. And Nancy just falls in love with Robin along the way, because now that Robin's looks like a boy, and is just acting the way she's always acting, Nancy realizes that her feelings are not platonic and that she actually likes girls or smth. Idk. But she thinks something like "if Robin were an actual boy, I'd date her" but because she's smart she's like "Wait a minute...I like her"

Honestly I have no idea. But you said to be unhinged and idk if this actually is unhinged but it's definitely weird.

But along the way of reading this synopsis I was like what if Karen already knows? Like not right away obviously, but somewhere down the line Karen figures it out for herself.

She doesn't bring it up to Nancy, she wants Nancy to come to her about it, but she definitely is dropping little hints or emphasized words, maybe making round about conversation to let Nancy know she wouldn't care that she likes girls if she did.

And omg from Robin's perspective she's definitely like; the only reason Nancy likes me is because In this situation I bare a stark likeness to guys.

Maybe one night they're just on the other side of Tipsy, and they're both sitting on the floor and Nancy is talking about how well they have everyone fooled. How much Robin does work as a guy that they're pulling it off. Just completely drunkenly mesmerized by Robin and she kisses her.

And Robin is like, why did she kiss me? No one is around? But she was talking about how I look like a guy? So Robin equates it to yea Nancy would date her if she were a guy, but she's not and she can't change that. And damn if this kiss doesn't make it harder for Robin.

Unlike Steve and Billy, Eddie doesn't get much physical activity. He spends most of his time in his trailer, eating junk food and jamming to Metallica (mood honestly). So he lacks the firmness of the other two. He's not particularly large in stature, and he has a thinner face. He's actually pretty happy being chubby, and he's not particularly shy. Compared to his boyfriends, he's "tiny". He may not wear revealing outfits (aside from in the bedroom- he's a sucker for leather is all I'm gonna say 😏) but he embraces any qualities that "set himself apart from people". Anything to annoy the conformists (which is his core belief and drive as a character). And if showing skin offends them, he'll do it out of spite. He knows he looks good, and that's enough for him (goals 😌🤌). He's delightfully doughy all over. His boyfriends are fucking tree trunks who have no problem picking him up, and the pounds he's packed on are simply a reminder of the numerous times the three Fuckateers gather on Steve's couch (Billy isn't convinced the stains on Eddie's mattress aren't piss) and munch on snacks. Happy memories are connected to his squishy stomach, and thighs. What's to be upset about?

Adding onto that, I think Eddie finds comfort in having some extra chub on him, because it's a state of contentment. For Billy, too.

Ever since Steve started working at Scoops Ahoy, he put on a few pounds. Since he's pretty tall, and has always been slim, the weight gain is a little more obvious. It usually goes to his ass, sides, and his stomach. It's heaven for Billy and Eddie, because with this new addition comes with a hairy belly. And as yall know I am an advocate for buff! Steve, so fuck, he's both. He's got this whole lumberjack look going on, and even his chest is wider. The bigger Steve gets, the more hair seems to grow. Steve doesn't necessarily notice getting chubby (because he's not someone who spends forever in front of a mirror when it's not hair related- I mean some of his outfits are ... questionable 😭). Plus theres no doubt its a combination of fat and muscle. He's definitely stronger now, and Billy likes to call him Hopper's long lost son... Whopper.

Billy has never been stick thin. As a child, he was pretty big, and he got bullied a lot- especially by Neil. When his mother was still present, she would reassure him that it was normal for kids to have baby fat. It never really went away. He works out religiously (look I know yall saw this dude drinking beer and smoking while lifting weights 😭) but fat still clings to his thighs, abdomen, face, legs, and ass- and he hates it. Unlike Steve and Eddie, his build is wide and broad. Billy boy is thick all over. Being around Eddie helps with his confidence a little, but he's a little shy. Plus his chipmunk cheeks make him look even younger (and he's the youngest of the three). Billy definitely has some internalized fatphobia due to bullies at school AND at home, so sometimes he lashes out at people who remind him of himself/how he sees himself. He's very hard on himself regardless of what it is anyway.

Eddie asks him point blank if he actually thinks fat is bad. Billy breaks down into tears, saying "On me it is!". Steve jumps in and asks Billy if he thinks Steve and Eddie look good. Billy nods fervently, and his boyfriends hug him, saying "If we look pretty, you look pretty, too. It's a three way street."

Also: Eddie and Steve have no problem with nicknames related to their builds in anyway, but their blonde bombshell isn't there yet, and that's okay. He'll get there. Until then, the brunettes will continue to love him enough when he isn't able to love himself.

How do you make gifs? Care to share your process? o3o

oooh yes i can!!! i tried not to get too detailed with it since im interpreting this as just asking for my process rather than an actual tutorial sudhf.

the general tools i use are photoshop (i pay $10 a month T_T), vlc media player, and one of my various video downloading sites. i don't torrent or anything bc that scares me and i dont understand it. plus, since i almost exclusively gif kdramas the video uploads are generally in pretty decent quality and dont get scrubbed from the web the way western shows do.

so once i have the video downloaded i open it with vlc media player. I use a really inefficient method to extract frames but it works well enough that i don't really care to change it. plus i cant really figure out another way? they say that certain video programs can capture frames for you but none of the ones ive tried seem to have that feature. there's also supposedly another method to do it in vlc media player but it's never worked for me. anyway.

so to extract frames in vlc i find the moment i want to capture and then use the "e" hotkey to skip to the next frame and click the little screenshot button to capture it.

i do this over and over at lightning speed until I get all the frames i want. yes this does often lead to accidentally skipping frames (which can make the gif a little choppy) so sometimes i redo it, but sometimes i don't bother.

after i've captured the frames, i copy them from my pictures folder (not entirely sure why they end up there but im not going to mess with the pathway) to a specific folder ive created for that gif or gifset.

then I'll go through and make sure there are no duplicate or missing frames. after that, i edit them down to about 70 frames per gif, then select them all and rename them so that they're in numbered order (photoshop loads them out of order if i don't).

I do 70 frames mostly bc my sharpening action on photoshop doesnt go past 70 frames and i haven't bothered to fix it lol. also it's comfortable length for a gif so there's not much reason to. you can usually get away with about 40-50 frames tho before it feels too short.

ok nowww i open photoshop and things get good.

first thing i do is load the files into a stack.

i have a bunch of settings in place to make life easier so i already have my sharpening action created (which sharpens all the frames for me rather than having to do it manually. gift from God), and my timeline visible. so now i just play my sharpening action

then load the frames into an animation and reverse them so they dont play backwards.

then i set the frame delay to 0.05 seconds. it's interesting bc gifs played at normal speed look kinda weird. so having it slowed down a little is ideal. not too much though or it looks choppy.

now i crop the gif. i dont have to do this here but generally i do. just helps me focus without the distraction of the tv bars on the top and bottom and just. All the other stuff going on in the background.

nowwww i color. usually start with a color adjustment curve layer. when you use the little eyedrop tool this can really deepen the image and bring it to life. you dont realize how dull tv looks until you gif lol.

that gives me the base tones i want and deepens the image.

sometimes i brighten the gif with the curves layer, but in this case adding a separate brightening layer worked better.

then i'll export the gif with tumblr dimensions and upload it into a draft.

if it is still too dark or the colors look off, i'll just mess more with the layers. in this case, i only needed the two, but a lot of gifs will need a few different adjustment layers like vibrance or selective color to look right.
