Cause while I read fanfic I usually stick to 2 main fandoms

Spider-Man, which has so many different creators and versions that I don’t think there’s any feasible way for them to put a complete ban on fanfic of the character

and

All For The Game, which I still consider a small fandom and I doubt anyone would even consider selling bound fanfics of the series cause 1) there’s not gonna be many people who would even buy it 2) the author would find it so quickly cause it would spread through the whole fandom so quickly and people would make sure she saw it

i have a little announcement after talking with a few friends and really thinking about it

i think i’m done with the Harry Potter universe

it no longer sparks the same joy and getting more into Heartstopper has opened my eyes to the fact that diversity and representation in media IS possible and it is there! the HP world kinda blinded me to that and made me feel like i’d never have that queer rep i yearned for, that i’d just have to live with headcannons and fanfiction to get that rep. not to mention the transphobic stuff that doesn’t stop is really draining. and the new fb movie flopped so hard i have no faith that this franchise will be good again.

i will continue to interact and support all my friends and fav creators who still make hp stuff ily all still <3 and i’m happy to accept hp commissions or patreon requests, but just don’t expect any big hp pieces from me. (i do have a scorbus thing in the works but it’s only scorbus themed for my own sanity of already knowing my character designs for them)

once i escape this art block i obviously plan to do art for my current hyperfixation on the Osemanverse, but hopefully other fandoms too and i’m happy to take suggestions on which ones!

earlier i saw a clip of leslie from yesterday’s stream and i’m just so fucking disappointed in her. maybe it was naive of me, but i had actually hoped that in the end she wouldn’t play hogwarts legacy (or at least not stream it and thus show it to thousands of viewers) even though i knew she still likes hp. but now that i’ve heard what she actually said while trying to justify playing it ...... yeah, that was not it. at all.

what’s even worse is that she then told her mods to ban anyone in chat if they were being ‘negative’ when the comments probably just rightfully called out everything wrong with the game and the franchise as a whole. i can’t imagine what it’s like for those in leslie’s community who belong to the groups that are affected to hear her being so dismissive. she completely missed the point of why she (or anyone, for that matter) shouldn’t play it.

my boyfriend has severe arachnophobia (and i mean really really severe) and he’s been playing hogwart’s legacy, in which there is an entire mission that happens inside a cave on the forbidden forest… filled with spiders. i’ve just spent the past hour playing for him and killing SO many fucking spiders. and kids, this is what love is.
