I wanted to try to draw my body type accurately for…. Personal representation reasons… and tbh this made me feel a lot better.

The main thing here I wanted to focus on was my actual physicality. I’ve never been very good at drawing myself in a way that actually looks like me…. Mostly because I’m a strong bitch with wide shoulders and strong legs… and before this last year I’ve been really self conscious about it?// but recently I’ve been seeing way more people drawing characters that look like me and it’s made me feel so much better. I know that sounds dumb but it’s true lmao

very important to my interpretation of allura is that she grew up very isolated. i think as a princess and an only child she wouldn't have many friends her age. she behaves like she's much older than she actually is because all she had around her were adults (and there's the trauma). so when she meets the paladins it's the first time she's structurally around other teenagers

children existing in public spaces is genuinely like. necessary for the continuation of society. it doesnt have to be your kids you dont have to volunteer at a daycare or whatever but you need to be able to tolerate the presence of someone who is learning how to exist as a human and interact with people
