So I got the new Pokemon DLC for Christmas and I’m on a big Pokemon kick currently so I’m going to give a gift to my fellow Pokémon lovers. Now I’m more well known for Yandere work but I also do love doing more soft romantic stuff. It heals my traumatised self. So I’ve decided to go through all Pokémon games I’ve played and write romantic and yandere sfw+slight Nsfw headcannons for every character I personally like. [No DLC content because I haven’t played any of them yet]. If there are any characters I haven’t done that anyone wants, either comment or request and I can add it onto this post. Ah the original silent protagonist. I love this man so much, even more after his cameo is Sun and Moon. I’m not sure what it is about him but he has this strange allure to him, although I doubt that’s a unique opinion on silent characters. Anyway, onto the headcannons.

This is almost a given with the silent types but I feel like he is an amazing listener, only ever nodding to show he’s still listening or giving small “mhms”

You’re probably the only one he comfortably talks to other than Blue.

In public he likes holding your hand, he often communicates through squeezing your hand or fiddling with your fingers.

Generally I'd say I've improved a lot throughout this year. Got a proper drawing tablet, switched drawing programs, finally begun working on using more then one type of brush... it's certainly been journey! A journey with many ups and downs, but one I am glad I went on anyhow.

Starting off with a pretty alright one, drew this to commerate the release of a game I'd been interested in for the past 4 or 5 years. I think it could use some tweaks, but for something drawn in mobile medibang I'm still pretty proud of it.

ok so now i wanna hear about how u interpret geeta's family....

OUGH LORD. as i said this is kinda a very rough and a bit more Nemona heavy as she's kinda the center to all of this.

(for anyone else reading this, i am aware Nemona says she only has one sister, idc i love wrecking pokemon family trees BCJBVJ. She has 2 now.)

So Nemona is the youngest of 3 kids. Geeta is the oldest (and the "canon" one she talks about in game), she has a 2nd older sister and that is Nessa, the Galar gym leader. As Geeta runs two schools (hc she's the chairwoman of Blueberry academy too for a different thing) AND she runs the league/top champion, she kinda has her hands full so it's Nessa that their parents had slated to take over the Rotom phone business but she wants nothing to do with it. Like Nemona says, her parents were pretty hands off but more specifically with her. I don't think she had nowhere near as bad a family life as Arven or "annoying" as Penny (to her) but her parents def focused more on their business and their older kids more.

I haven't thought of why Nessa left fully (i don't super care for her as a character) but she's not really on speaking terms with her parents or Geeta (leaning towards some big fight). Nemona talks to her every once in a while but that's still kinda rare.

Nemona idolizes Geeta, we all know this. Because of how high up on a pedestal Geeta is for her now, it's hard to remember/view her as her sister. She's an inspiration and idol but that invisible wall she talks about feeling in her postgame chats DEF extends to Geeta.

Geeta loves her family but because of how busy her life is/that possible big fight, she doesn't talk or interact with them much outside of Nemona. She has also kinda forgotten how to just be a sister to Nemona and kinda more views her as a apprentice. I think her parents spent a lot more time on her succeeding/future than just like.. her as a person? Especially with her dad's fame and business growing. Treated her more like a budding business professional than their kid (and they could have tried this with Nessa to i think and she just didn't like it.) Geeta more or less took a lot of this to heart tho (especially as she was the "odd" child, i.e., autistic and her parents just, didn't get it. Tried very hard to make her into a "normal" kid. This did not help her with things like social ques/body language, what have you in the future). She doesn't really talk about her background/family/that type of stuff so she never really pieced together the idea of "hey maybe my parents shouldn't have done x/y/z??" (and since volo doesn't have much of any family background/experiences on top of her just not going into it ever, it's not something that ever really clicks for her.)

#Nemona specifically didn't have it too rough(more of just distant) but Geeta (unknowingly) & Nessa (knowingly) did. Not Arven level but not #great all the same #Anyway apologizes this is rough i'm struggling to describe things how i want but hopefully the vague idea/outline is there? #asks #pokemon #geeta

I've been replaying fire emblem fates conquest lately. I always skip through the story of it because the story is fucking ass. Like I HATE the story ok, it's BAD. But the gameplay... well.... I kid you not this game is actually pretty damn fun. Like the maps are actually really well designed and challenging.

Let me give you a good example.

Chapter ten, baby. This map... I would marry this map but I can't but if I could I would. So basically in the back you got these spaces that you have to defend. That's the green squares in the screenshot I pulled from google images up there.

If an enemy gets to one of those green squares, its game over. You have 11 turns to protect these squares. Enemies come in from every direction, with your army of like 8 people dropped right in the middle.

Enemy reinforcements are sent in during the later portion of the mission, and in the last, I think 5 turns or so, the rivers are drained causing them to rush towards your guys and the point you're defending even faster, causing the battle to grow increasingly frantic and desperate.

Amazing level, probably the best in the game, but the others are badass too, and pretty challenging. You actually will be replaying these a lot due to all the game overs u will definitely get and it never gets old because the devs were.... actually creative with their level design? Say what?! Didn't know they ever could be after I went through Awakening!

Another thing about this game: You can't grind for gold or EXP, and so you have limited resources and weak characters. That sounds evil, it is evil, but it's part of the challenge and what makes it fun.

Now there is one limitation in this game I DO have to complain about. That being the waifus and husbandos.

Now most people only play these games to see all the sexy ass bitches that are available to join your army. You probably think I'm fucking weird for going nuts over this guy, but I'm not okay >:( he's a silly little dweeb wearing glasses and I think he has a cute face and probably has a really nice body under all dem clothes I mean you can kinda see his peks a lill bit and that makes my pupils expand.

The problem is, you know, they got this guy who's actually my type, right, but they don't let you marry him. You can capture him from the enemy team and let him join your army... but you can't talk to him, can't bond with him, and therefore, by extension, can't marry him.

And when you marry a character in these games shit gets weird. Not only can you have a kid with them (nothing happens on screen but I get to picture it in my head which is enough for me) but they have this weird like pokemon anime esque tapping minigame (non 3ds users must be so confused rn) where you just use the stylus to like, tap on the dude/girl's face to "wake them up" from falling asleep when you come to visit them in your house. It's fucking creepy, man. Like really creepy. But it wouldn't be with this guy! Because he's clearly fucking creepy, too, or at least terribly horny, that's my headcanon anyway due to his very mild resemblance to a certain special someone I always talk about on this blog who is ALSO terribly horny among being terribly many other things. It's consensually, mutual bizarre. And I think that's beautiful.

But such beauty can never come to fruition! I mean... I mean why the fuck did I even buy this game if I can't do that? Like, what's even the point?!

Final thoughts- This new style continues to impress me. I don’t know enough about art to say what’s change, but I absolutely adore it. The way it makes things glow especially sparks joy.

The curse names give me such strong DND vibes, specifically subclasses. But that may just be that bloodhunter subclasses are all order and they use curses. No more Heartless videos makes me sad, I hope that we get more content in the future. It may take some time for me to get excited at the idea of a new concept corner, but I know I will and I know I’ll love it. Heartless has been, and probably will continue to be my comfort YouTube series.

How did you come to love pmd (or pokemon in general)?

I had minimally engaged in pokemon when I was younger. It was on the tv sometimes and I had a “speaking” pikachu plushie, but otherwise I didn’t really care much about it. Idk why, I think in elementary school only the boys played it, so I always figured it was just a “boys” thing. I even vaguely remember my parents asking if I wanted Pokemon Diamond in the store for Christmas one year, but I chose Animal Crossing instead lol. 

Then I got pmd Explorers and was absolutely enamored. I think it was a really strong game to start the series on, because every mechanic, character, feature, or anything an established pokemon fan would’ve known already was brand new and exciting to me. For example, they’d talk about a character by species name, and I had no idea what they were supposed to look like until the encounter itself—it was exciting! I even remember being similarly shocked as Partner was when first seeing Celebi XD Plus, it came into my life at kind of a difficult time—we had just moved states, I had to be homeschooled for a period, and my friends and I didn’t have cell phones yet, so I basically had no peers for about half a year. I think it really touched my lonely 12 y/o heart to boot up the game and see all these amazing characters who had lost or fought so much, but could still be incredibly kind and care for one another, and still find a way to carry on, even when it seemed like there was no hope. 

I really enjoyed the other games I played after too; they were a lot of fun in their own ways, although I’ll admit, they didn’t have the same impact. For me, Explorers was one of those pieces of media that totally rewired my brain—it changed my whole outlook on life, and it’s amazing how even replaying it now can reawaken those same feelings :3

S5 Ep 39 Part 1:  Blue Eyes White Dragon Wife Fight

Ah, back from the long Covid slumber (which holy hell do not catch Covid, the long Covid that follows it is a nightmare, and in several ways is worse than the actual Covid) Technically, bro and I still have it, but it’s been a while since we’ve posted and so for now lets just write a post and see what happens?

The show left us off at fight pit where Aknadin tossed Seto’s not-a-girlfriend onto a platform over viewing a bunch of man-sized spikes. Been a while since we’ve been suspended over a good indoor fight pit with a bottomless chasm underneath it. The last time we were in one was Pegasus, wasn’t it? Which is fitting since we now have Pegasus’ item sitting in Aknadin’s eye-hole.

Kissara is kind of over the whole “I have a pokemon in my soul” thing and either refuses to show she has a dragon in her butt because 1.) she doesn’t want a powerful country to have access to her dragon powers or 2.) she just doesn’t freakin care about the fate of the world and this current pharaoh of the week because she’s that OP.

I’d like to think it was the the latter, but she’ll not really tell us what her whole deal is this episode anyway. So guess away. In defiance of his Dad/coworker, Seto decided to jump head first off of a ledge, probably feeling a little jealous that Yami got to do that last episode.

Now don’t be deceived from my caps, the girl said “thank you, sir.” and that’s about it. To be honest, even that much feels like character development because she actually had a speaking line.

So while Seto is talking up about how he’s going to save this girl and be the hero of the day, and while Seto is apparently a match for Pharaoh and Bakura, he is no match for these random ass prisoners with one single spider. This was not helped by the fact that they’re suspended over a chasm held up by some flimsy bike chains.

So really it was the flimsy bike chains that couldn’t handle one single spider, to give Seto more credit.

So it’s going to take every fiber of my long Covid ridden being to not say that Kissara “morbed out”, (man oh man I just want to say Morb in all caps and it’s a very unfortunate symptom of this illness) however, she did glow bright blue and shoot a dragon out of her ass.

And so she used her face lasers, and Egypt was like woah.

In the literal show Shimon was like “ah, is the power of the Egyptian Gods?” So that we the audience could see that Blue Eyes Egyptian Kissara was at the same level as Yami’s God cards. It was to prove that Seto maybe could be a Pharaoh, depending on if this girl would please become a paper card which at the moment she is too sleepy to do.

But by this logic...wouldn’t that make Kissara the proper Pharaoh of Egypt? Just saying. I mean she is mad sleepy and so wouldn’t do much ruling, but for that I think this city would be kind of thankful after the run their last few Pharaoh’s put them through.

Off screen she got Seto out of fight pit and then decided to just fall asleep in his arms like a small puppy.

Y’all every ship is valid and good here and so I don’t want to knock the ship too much but wow this girl is snoozing a lot of the time right? I was expecting more than this, and I’m telling you, my expectations were extremely low. But who knows, maybe she wakes up and has speaking lines in later episodes?

Anyway, Kissara exited stage left and then Seto and Aknadin had a fight that Seto honestly thought he would not be having when he woke up this morning.

Aknadin inferred he’d have to force Seto’s hand and like...I dunno, you put his coma patient/not girlfriend/dragon in a pit I think you screwed it, Aknadin.

Back in Kul Elna, (which Bro just informed me is spelled with a U not an E) Bakura is monologuing to his only friend left in the world AKA this tablet, which I find out later is called “the millennium stone.” and I don’t know how to contain that knowledge.

While he’s here talking to the rock, Bakura is also letting us, the audience know why the hell he is even doing this. A nice little bit of summary for just in case any of the audience went and caught Covid while watching this season and currently can’t cook a soup without remembering to stir the garlic before it burns completely black. Which I did. Yesterday.

So originally I had a set of caps that was like “Zork was the most popular computer game before Doom how did Yugioh manage to use the same name?” and that was when my bro told me “Rachel I’m so sorry. It’s spelled with a C.”

Was this the intention of the writers of the whole series? Probably not, but do I think it’s a fun little twist--yeah, that’s fun. Like we know that Bakura’s ring can find his heart’s desire, so when it’s a name that isn’t a tangible object, that’s actually a pretty good twist.

I would normally try and add up all the dots we know about Yami and his history but at this point it’s looking less like Seto killed Yami, despite what that massive tablet and Ishizu told us. But Ishizu has been wrong before, so I’m not gonna worry about it. My head is blissfully thought free because of the long Covid and we’re gonna keep it that way.

Anyway, thanks for being so chill as we take it very easy through this summer of sickness. (in fact, bro told me I had to fix one of the caps and I’ll be real: I forgot which one it is, and I can no longer tell so forgive me if I also just left a turd in the caps there. eh, long Covid) I have no idea when the next episode will go up. It’s been tricky for me in the past to emulate 3DS pokemon games, since my laptop certainly isn’t strong enough for that, but I’m home from college and decided to give Y a try! But with a twist: I played it in French.

For those unaware, I am bilingual, and know English and French. And with Kalos being based off of France, I figured it would be fitting to play it in French, in part to help make sure I don’t lose my touch on the language since I don’t have to speak it as much as I used to. I found it fairly easy to understand, but I think that has more to do with my knowledge of pokemon, since the French translation was awful. Some parts straight up weren’t translated (and sure, modern French, at least in my area, mixes in some English every now and then, but this was a bit much), constant grammar errors, and even simple pronoun issues. I had an npc call me “mon soeur” which to anyone who knows French, knows that that is just... wrong.

Regardless, I did enjoy my playthrough! I started about three weeks ago, beat it a couple weeks after starting, so here’s my usual team drawing for it!

General Playthrough Notes:

My in-game time after all was said and done was a little over 32 hours! That includes me fucking around in the post-game a bit, I didn’t think to look at the in-game time after just doing the main game, but I didn’t do that much in the post-game so the amount of time was probably close.

When I got to the Elite Four my entire team was at least level 65. I think this is the first time I got to the league and wasn’t underleveled.

Needless to say, gen 6 is really easy. I kinda liked that though, it was funny to plow through the entire game without a second thought, and I even got to skip some trainers without worrying. There was a bit of a level jump at Victory Road, so if someone was really determined to stay underleveled for a challenge then they could be for the Elite Four.

The game being so easy did make the league a bit anticlimactic though? Taranis nearly fought half of the E4 members solo (the fire and water ones), only the talonflame getting the best of him.

I did still have some fun with the champion battle! Though that was mostly because of the spin I put on it, where I “assigned” each of my team members to fight one of hers, meaning that everyone got a chance to shine, which isn’t something I’ve ever gotten to do in a pokemon game. It also felt like the cumulation of all my efforts, since I had to know her team’s names in French to switch in my pokemon at the correct times.

I found the post-game to be a bit lackluster, unfortunately. The Battle Mansion feels bland (and it bored me so much that I nearly missed the rest of the post-game because the rival fight only happens after you do a fight in the Battle Mansion), I was too late to the Battle Castle to enjoy that, shiny hunting isn’t really my thing, and nor is hunting down all the legendaries the game shoved into the post-game (including roaming legendary bird, with the “fun” twist of you having to encounter it 11 times before you can try catching it, and also it teleports randomly). I love the Looker cases though! Of course, that’s all a bit of my personal tastes, it is a lot of content for those more interested, it just left me a bit disappointed.

Guys... listen, listen... gen 6 had so much potential it makes me upset. You can see what they wanted to say, what directions they wanted the characters to go, but it feels like they didn’t progress past the first draft. Lysandre could have been such a cool villain...

And even characters aside, you can see the care they put in to this game. All the little animations, fennekin’s ear fluff spikes out when it’s angry... the grass has wind blowing through it... I wish so badly that it had turned out better.

Back to the plot for a moment, I knew I wanted a noivern on my team, did you know that you can’t catch a noibat until after all the main Team Flare stuff? I didn’t know that until I was forced to bike across the entire region to save the world! Annoying in the moment, but it did quickly turn into a running gag in the Creators’ Guild (where I was sharing my experiences) of me just witnessing the end of the world like “I just wanted a noibat :(”

Speaking of running gags, the joke of “don’t worry, my pokemon will heal this status condition because they love me” is incredibly funny, that mechanic is so broken and I love it so much

There are no good clothing options for the female trainer! I am constantly jealous of the male clothes options! I found one (1) shirt that I really enjoyed and wore it with everything else default for pretty much the entire main game. In the post-game, I finally unlocked that stupid fancy clothes store in Lumiose City and bought the blue suit which I am simultaneously baffled and thankful is an option for girls in this game and it instantly gave me serotonin even if it cost nearly all my money.

THIS IS YOUR REMINDER!! IN GEN 6 YOU CAN PET YOU 4-5 HEART AFFECTION POKEMON IN BATTLE AFTER THEY DEFEAT A POKEMON! Apparently most people didn’t know that, so here’s your reminder to pet your pokemon :D

Aodh was a star player in every gym and I just wanted to mention that. Yes, even the rock-type one. He solo handled the first gym, despite all its fire-type counters. I’m so proud of him.

Reasons to play 30XX:

- best mega man X game released in the last decade

--thats not just due to the lack of competition, mind you (although that is a factor), the smooth controls, great story, level design, and especially the super-villain level PRESENTATION with a great soundtrack that blows it's predecessor's out of the water (which is saying a lot because that predecessor is 20XX) and visuals based on classic 16-bit games are absolutely worth experiencing

- I know Rouge-likes can be intimidating, but 30XX is an amazing entry point, ESPECIALLY if you are already a mega man fan. That's in one part because of mega mode, which basically gives you infinite lives, gives you complete control of the stage order, and lets you replay levels you've already beaten - as well as some other changes to help ease you in. But that's not your only other option...

- Maker mode is, for the most part, exactly what it says on the tin- make 30XX levels, or play ones made by others online. If you ever wanted a mega man X maker, this is pretty close.

-- Maker mode also let's you do a version of the main campaign with user-made chunks, So there's really no shortage of content

- speaking of, 30XX has INSANE replayability, although that's no surprise given that it's fusing a series that is in part known for it's replay value with a genre that is in part known for it's replay value - the clown generated content of maker mode is just icing on the cake

- speaking of the fusion, both mega man and rouge-likes are also in part famous for their difficulty, and 30XX very much delivers- ESPECIALLY after you unlock the various difficulty modificatiers known as entropy (which also increase rewards of course) - resulting in a game with plenty of good challenge

-- but if that sounds like too much for you, no worrys - you can always use assist mode, no one will judge

- and there's daily/weakly challenges too! No reason to worry about them if completing online for score/time isn't your thing, but the flavored ones can always be a nice change of pace

- there's also seed racer (input a specific seed for your run) and rush job (a boss rush mode) returning from 20XX, did I mention that this game has a lot of content?

- another great thing about 30XX are accessibility options; in addition to the aforementioned assist mode and the ability to use either keyboard or controller, you can also control the screenshake and even set different outlines for players, projectiles, and enemies, as well as a background filter with colors of your choosing. There's probably other cool stuff in the options menu I'm forgetting too! There's no excuse now - everyone should have no life!!!

-- I feel like now is a great time to bring up that this is an indie game that costs 20 bucks on steam and is currently on sale for 16 that will be getting some free content updates. By comparison, pokemon scar and pokemon violet are 60$ with extra expensive DLC and have one of the worst options menus I have ever seen from a triple a title.

---Oh, and 30XX also works properly so... Take that

-Dally (the robot cat) also returns from 20XX. This is the most important thing ever

- Ace has become so stylish he could pass as a paper Mario TTYD partner

- both Ace and Nina have been overhauled since 20XX, and are far more distinct - you aren't just chosing what flavor of primary weapon you want

- 30XX really is blowing 20XX out of the water in every way it can, and given how good 20XX was that's really saying something. There's more level themes, augs, way more music, mid-bosses, weapons and powers, and no shortage of balancing and quality of life improvements.

--and the few things I can think of that 20XX does have over 30XX, like challenge characters, endless mode, and a complete datalore, are all planned for future updates. There's genuinely a lot to look forward too

- And the story is genuinely amazing, I can't spoil it here, but it's got basically everything. It's a really cool mystery, with twists, feels, commentary (of both meta and social flavors), humor, lesbians, Delta is there... It's great all around.

Persona Black and White (featuring Black 2 and White 2)

Aka persona AU for black and white + 2 because I thought of this on a whim and thought it would be neat.

So basically in this AU you take out the Pokémon and turn it into a normal modern AU. But wait! Secretly it’s not! And in fact theres a whole secret world hidden beneath beneath the country’s subway system where beings known as shadows and, more interestingly, personas lie.

Hilbert Griffin’s a foreign exchange student from the Galar region, taken under the care of Professor Aurea Juniper, a teacher at his new school. From there, he hears mummering about another world underneath the subway system, to which he’s dragged along by his brand new acquaintance, Hilda Rhodes. It is down beneath the deep depths of this subway system that Hilbert discovers the world is not just as it seems, and will be making a whole lot of difference in many peoples lives.

SO. Persona AU. Still ironing out the story. But I’ve kind of got the world ironed out.

First off: for this please imagine Unova has a very good subway system that can take you to and from anywhere on the map.

Second off: this is technically a modern AU, but everything is basically the same. Black and White kind of has the plus side of everyone having additional occupations outside of being gym leaders so everyone would just be kind of doing the same thing they always did, just without pokemon related occupations.

Pokemon DO exist in this AU, but they don’t exist outside of the other world in the subway system. Rather, they’re the replacements for shadows and personas. The persona users and their “personas” are as follows:

Hilbert Griffin - Agi (weak to bufu) (Emboar (has power of the wildcard though, meaning he can catch additional persona(pokemon) and add to his roster))

Hilda Rhodes - Zio (weak to garu) (Elektross)

Cheren Schwartz - Bufu (weak to agi) (Samurott)

Bianca Alba - Garu (weak to zio) (Serperior)

Nate Colbert - Mudo (weak to hama) (Hydreigon)

Rosa Bell - Hama (weak to mudo) (Haxorus)

Hugh Edgar - Navigator (Gothitelle)

N is a persona user as well, but he’s not in the main party and acts on his own. He has no signature persona himself, as he too has the power of the wildcard. Which he embraces moreso than Hilbert. (Do not ask me about N’s character arc I am still figuring out how to keep him the same character in this world.)

Everyone’s pokemon aren’t final stage though, and start out as their basic forms. They would unlock their second stage at SL5 or SL10. Then final forms would either be SL10 or SL10+. (If it’s SL10 they’ll get megas (ignore how none of these pokemon actually have megas)).

Speaking of social links, Hilbert will have a social link with every rival, gym leader, Alder, and Professor Juniper. Their arcana assignment is as such:

I’ll probably update information about this AU when I have more to offer. Mainly social link and additional plot details. But the idea of this AU is to basically turn black and white into a persona story. For now, here’s some additional notes, ideas, etc:

N and Hilbert are both considered the fool. I don’t think in this AU, if it were to be a game, you wouldn’t pursue a link with N ala the rest of them and instead it progresses via story. Moreover having both Hilbert and N be the fool furthers them mirroring each other, and I think them both being fools would add to the lore about the legendary dragons. (Also I wanted to incorporate Juniper and all the gym leaders and couldn’t think of kicking one out)

Grimsley runs this universe’s version of Tanaka’s Amazing Commodities.

The Subway Masters act as Velvet Room Attendants

I’d like to somehow incorporate Yancy, Curtis, and the other E4 into the game. I’m SUPER dedicated on making persona awakenings a thing in this AU because when they happen they’re super hype, however I’m also playing with the idea of the being the focus of the various dungeons in the AU’s metaverse.

Hilbert is the new guy in town while Hilda, Cheren, and Bianca are childhood friends they’re all high schoolers. Nate, Rosa, and Hugh live on a different side of the region and attend middle school in their last year. Normally they wouldn’t meet since they live in completely different areas but wow the subway system is super expanded in this universe wowie.

Idk if I need to stress this or not (I should not) but the triplet’s social link would focus on their relationship as a family. It is not romantic it should not be romantic and if you perceive it as romantic I will steal your bones.

Ghetsis is also going to play a roll most definitely, along with the Seven Sages (hopefully), so look forward to that. Hopefully. I was playing with the idea of turning N into the jester because that’s kind of like the fool but fake? But at the same time… N should actually be the fool. So maybe I could turn Ghetsis into the hunger.

Shipping is absolutely not the focus of this AU I promise but shiroshipping and kuroshipping would at the very least be danced around.

I still have judgement and the world to work with but I figured that would just be like. Plot stuff. Like it is in every persona game. Not an actual slink. Again I’ll figure it out.

ok, so. i drew every warrior cat! here's a long rambling sentimental reflective-type post on the blog i guess.

I started this blog when I was 15, in 2018. I was bored at a summer job, scribbled Onestar on the back of a sticker sheet, and thought "huh, there sure is a lot of Warrior Cats characters! I've seen some design blogs around, I think there's a "draw 100 cats challenge" people do, wouldn't it be fun if I gave that a try?" I had nothing going on art-wise at the moment, I was losing steam on my Pokemon webcomic and had given up askblogs a while ago, so I quickly fell into it.

Starting out was weird- I'd only read up to about Power of Three at the time, and hadn't read TPB or TNP in quite a while. I vivdly remember someone sending me a request to draw Tawnypelt about 20 cats in or so, and I genuinely couldn't remember who she even was. I think I got a request to draw Jagged Peak before I even knew DOTC existed? I wasn't working off of a specific list, and would miss certain cats out entirely due to forgetting them which frustrated me. Drawing cats was fun, and once I got to 100 eventually I found myself going "well, now what? I haven't even drawn Sorreltail, Nightstar, Appledusk, Spiderleg..." so, i kept going!

Then 2020 rolled around and lockdown hit, and I was suddenly stuck in my house with no plans, seemingly unlimited time, and a desperate need for some kind of outlet that offered escapism from the world.

Drawing Warrior Cats was something mundane and rhythmic but creative and enjoyable, and I found the aspect of looking at it as a challenge alluring, the same way I had when the goal was "100 random warrior cats". How far could I get before having to stop? I couldn't do over 1000 cats, right?

Lot has changed in my life over the course of this. I started the challenge just after leaving high school, and now I'm headed into my third year of uni. Some family's moved around, we have a cat now, I started playing video games again, my bedroom's been revamped, I met some internet friends IRL for the first time, I'm more or less publicly out as gay, all different kinds of stuff. It's fucking wild to consider that one of the biggest constants in my life these past few years has been drawing goddamn warrior cats. I've had the Warriors wiki list of characters open on my computer basically forever, and finally closing it feels like a goodbye.

So what's happening with this blog? Well, I'm not upkeeping a daily queue anymore, that's for sure. There are some cats here I KNOW I'm going to want to go back and redesign at some point though, so this isn't over! Even if I'm less active here, for now, I'm not going anywhere. I'll probably also use this for any general warriors art/posts I want to make, as well as those "send me asks" request meme thingies. those are fun.

I'm hoping to be maybe more active on my youtube now, as well as just generally experimenting with my art more. One of the biggest downsides of spending 3 years drawing fullbody flatcolours of warrior cats and not that much else is that my improvement on every ground except cat anatomy and character design has become pretty fuckin stagnant lmao. I need to make art with backgrounds and shading and non-cat characters again or i think ill explode. time to get out of this comfort zone!!

speaking of, very lucky this thing ended right at the start of Artfight. I'm @/RioBlitzle there and I try to revenge back attacks! Will probably put my energy into that for a wee while.

@daily-mario-characters might come back,, eventually but I'm not promising anything, and if I haven't learned anything from running this blog you might see me on a "drawing every pokemon" streak in a few months. it is how it is.

I only beat Sumeru (and the rest of the game) because I wanted to see Alhaitham and Kaveh more. But the story was more interesting to me than Inazuma at least. Mondstadt was a great place to start but now I feel like I'm shaking the game and begging to see them get involved in the story again. And it may just be the artifacts he's using but Heizou doesn't do nearly as much damage as the rest of the team. But I don't have anyone better for now, so he stays.

Platinum is loads of fun but I understand why you want to stay in Kanto, even though grinding in HGSS isn't easy because of how low leveled everything is. Well, grinding in general is boring, regardless of levels. I could probably beat Platinum in my sleep solely because I've replayed it so often, but it's a fun world to re-explore for me. Feels more like a world too due to certain events. B&W is a fun gen, playing it felt like playing my first pokemon game all over again because of how many new pokemon there are. But both Platinum and B&W have really hard fights in them too, so look out for those! -Genshin Anon

so I heard! my classmate wouldn't stop bugging me about how great sumeru's ending was - but I begged him to not tell me anything else (which in turn was him begging me to finish it 🤧) but seeing the more recent genshin fanart, I can see SO much definitely happened and I'm super curious about it!

RNG sucks ass and that's honestly no surprise 😭 I don't think I have a single character who's properly blessed by the RNG because it fucks me over EVERY. SINGLE. TIME. all of them are just mixed of good, mediocre and just BAD. bad. stay with kaeya for now 🤧

It was a nice day at the pokemon village, and Liam and Jack are going to make a tasty cake to have. "Ok, have you got the ingredients to have a cake?" Liam asked. Jack has got the ingredients ready. "Yep, I have got them all and we are ready to bake it!" Jack said. They started to make it by putting in the ingredients into the bowl, mix them around perfectly and put it into the baking bowl and into the oven. "Well, I hope this cake will be very tasty when it has been baked!" Liam said. When the cake is finally cooked, Liam and Jack decided to put the toppings on to the cake, including their faces with food colouring like blue for Liam and green for Jack. "Now that is one perfect cake we made!" Jack said. Then, Liam had something in this mind. "Speaking of cakes, I just heard there is a Cake expo where we will see all of the upcoming cakes that they are coming to food stores soon! I have got the tickets for you and me!" Liam said as he shows the tickets for the Cake expo. "Wow, that's amazing! but we will make sure that we do not touch them, it's only for display, but on the plus side, there is a cafe where they make some cute mini versions of the upcoming cakes that we going to see!" Jack said. "Ok, so let's go and see those cute cakes!" Liam said as Liam and Jack covered the cake with a bowl and getting ready to go. "Once they have arrived at the cake expo, the building looked like a huge cake! "Wow, I never seen my eyes on this awesome building! must be owned by the Yumupart company!" Liam said. Jack was every amazed about that he knows yumupart. "Hey, I remember yumupart, they make the perfect dessert for other people to love! but there's no time for talking, we need to get inside!" Jack said as they showed their tickets to the staff member and head on in the cake expo. Inside, they could be able to smell the cakes that they are being made! "Mmmmm, I really do love the smell of those cakes when we bake one!" Liam said. the first thing that they going to see is the wedding cakes, and they look very cute with small figures on top. "Awwww, those wedding cakes sure look cute!" Jack said, and Liam agrees with him. The next area is the character cakes, which include Super Mario, Pokemon, and even Zelda! "Maybe one day I could have a cake like this one for a good anniversary for a franchise!" Liam said as he looks at the character cakes. Just then, Jack has saw some amazing cakes that he could see! "Oh look Liam, look what I just found over there! it's the castle cake, the mickey mouse cake and the ferrero rocher cake! Come and Look at them!" Jack said as He takes Liam to see the amazing cakes! "Wow, they sure look amazing, and my favourite kind of cake is got to be the castle cake because it really does have a lot of chocolate!" Liam said. "Well, I think I'm very hungry, so let's get something to eat at the cake expo cafe!" Jack said as Liam and Jack go to the cafe. At the cafe, I could see a menu, and this one contains some mini versions of the upcoming cakes that they could see. "They have mini versions of those cakes? Now that what a call a cute mini cafe, so let's go an order a cute mini cake!" Liam said. The cafe employee went to see them and Liam and Jack decided to take an order. "Welcome to the cake expo cafe, what would you like?" The cafe employee said. "Yes, so can I have two mini castle cakes and two chocolate milkshakes please." Liam said. "Sure, your order will be ready in a moment!" The cafe employee said as he makes the milkshakes and gives Liam and Jack the two mini castle cakes. "There you go, your order is served!" The cafe employee said and Liam payed for it. Liam and Jack sit down on the chair and put their cake and milkshake on the table to start eating. "Mmmmm, this cake sure tastes good with those sweets!" Liam said. "I agree with you, it sure does tastes good!" Jack said as Liam and Jack eat their cake and also drink their chocolate milkshake. "Wow, maybe we should look at the cake expo shop and see what gifts they have!" Liam said as they went into the gift shop to see something that they could have. At the gift shop, they could see something that they could have. "Hey, I might get that castle cake figure, and also you could have a castle cake stickers for your sticker book Liam." Jack said as they get the stuff that they wanted and brought them to take them home. At their home, Liam decided to put some castle cake stickers onto his sticker book. "Seems this book is about to have a good collection when all of the pages are full of stickers!" Liam said. "And also that castle cake figure looks great on the shelf when we see it!" Jack said, and they deserved a rest to watch some cooking channels.

As a pokemon fan, pokemon fans complain about everything to a degree. at the time, a lot of people who started with gen 1/2, were aging out of pokemon by gen 3. So it was often the case of 'look how adult I am by not playing something aimed at younger people'. However now a days its still considered a very solid game, and people enjoy it. Gen 5 had so many complaints on release despite the fact that its legitimately one of the best pokemon games that was ever made.

sword/shield are the recent ones everyone seams to 'despise' at first because they decided not to continue on with adding every single pokemon in the pokemon games. And the tree textures were bad. (Understandable complaints as the game could use more polish, but I really thought it was fun.)

Anyway I loved beast wars as a kid. I don't remember much about it, but it was so good! I mostly remember a character not surviving, (Which i'm being vague about for sake of spoilers as I know its still possible to watch the show.) and the Wasp character. Waspinator is still just so good. Think his story was that his speech pattern took a long time so they just kept having him be attacked/injured so he couldn't talk much. Which ended up making him so beloved by fan and creator that they didn't die when they were planned too.

Oh yeah, that character death . . . I know the one you speak of and watching that episode still makes me cry. So good.

On Pokemon, I'm not part of the Pokemon fandom (like part of the community) but I'm a Pokemon fan in the sense that I watch the anime sometimes (loved the Sun / Moon season) and play all the games.

IMO Sun / Moon was the best game, which as I understand it isn't something a lot of Pokemon fans would agree with me on, lol. But it was the only one that really made me love a region instead of going "well, that was pretty cool."

I'm not picky when it comes to playing Pokemon games, it's mostly about building and bonding with my team. And I like doing nuzlockes, so my perception of games is also influenced by, like, how many Pokemon are available on each route.

I disagree on Black / White being great, it was the third weakest game in terms of story IMO. But I will save that for another post because I have A LOT to say on it. (I did enjoy playing it, like I said I'm not picky and also I loved the Water starter, but wow after all the online hype I was expecting something better. For context, I played it for the first time last year.)

Pokemon Sword / Shield is just genuinely bad. The story is incomplete and just so sloppily laid out. But the biggest technical flaw is that Exp Share was permanently on. It was so frustrating trying to keep my team at a level that would make the game challenging. Plus I like switch training. It gives me the illusion that I'm actually "training" my Pokemon. I know that's not everyone's preference, but that's what the toggle was for. #bringbackthetoggle
