I feel like everyone on both sides blew Reylo way out of proportion. It's literally the most basic inoffensive Baby's First Enemies To Lovers™ ship. The reason there's like three billion published novels that started life as Reylo is because it's so by the numbers that it can be easily adapted to any ETL/RTL AU you can possibly think of.
And honestly I think as a collective the haters were way more unhinged than the fans because everyone acts like their ship is god's gift to romance, you come to expect that, but the way the anti-Reylo crowd at the peak of the sequel trilogy would have had you believe it was the most toxic and problematic ship ever? This? I've seen more moral complexity in Steven Universe.

the fact that coriolanus and lucy gray go so terribly together makes me laugh like... i cant even ship them... the only reason i freaked out when they kissed was bc I WAS THE ONE simping for coryo. in reality, all of their interactions, especially after the hunger games, were so bland. where was the chemistry?? they are way too different for each other.
there's lucy gray: wild, free, graceful and fun in everything she does. all she wants is freedom, something she never seems to get. shes trapped by the capitol and the districts. and then coriolanus snow: restricts himself, only wants control. he never allows himself complete freedom in what he does, but instead worries about how other would perceive him. he's trapped by the capitol, the districts, but instead of trying to get away from this control, he tries to be the one in control. he wants to be the one on top of things, have freedom for himself by restricting the freedom of others.
so how would the two ever find freedom in each other? they can't!! they aren't in love! or at least coriolanus isn't in love with lucy. he may love her, yes, but he isn't in love with her. how was lucy first presented to him? as his girl. the one thing in his life that he can control at the time. and in doing so, there's a chance for him. a chance for a better life. he hears her sing, her hope of surviving, the spark of rebellion in her. but does he actually see her? all of these things he sees in her are induced by the capitol. she has to sing for money, for fame (and yes, she enjoys it, but the second she sings a song about something he doesn't agree with, that the capitol may not enjoy, that may make him look bad, he gets all uncomfortable.). her hope of surviving is only because the capitol has made her have to survive. her spark of rebellion helped coriolanus win, but after they won, that spark was only seen as something out of his control.
her view of freedom is so much different than coriolanus'. her view of so much is different than his. and i think at first, coriolanus' idea of her was appealing. in his control, there for him, her life foreign to him. but then he actually knew her. and he couldn't fall in love with her. she contradicted so many of his beliefs, so much of what the world had told him to be. he couldn't possibly change so much, ruin his life like that.
so basically the point is CORIOLANUS NEVER REALLY LOVED LUCY GRAY!! NOT FOR WHO SHE WAS!! and i wish i could expand more on what lucy thought of him. i would love to see inside her mind, see if she was truly in love with him. but i think that's up to the reader's interpretation. anyways ! i'm done rambling.

The more I think about it and seeing it from others in fanarts is that the reason why most I don't do Jedi x Clone as much as ships is because technically the Clones are like little kids-teenagers around Ahsoka 's age and why even though I enjoyed the team works of the Jedi and their clones they were more like a fond family really of anything because of the scene of when one of the Clones says that they're just expendables the fact that Plo automatically said "Not to me." they were literally breathing beings who needed guidance and while sadly it ended on the note of the clones helping ending the whole Jedi regime Jedi's like Plo Obi and Anakin really cared for them and only saw them either as sons or brothers and why I couldn't-can't fully get behind of the shipping idea of them

way back when, sometime after I finished my first playthrough of pokemon scarlet, I brought back some of my old OCs and completely re-made them because the brainrot reached critical mass...
didn’t wanna take the student route so I made my OCs academy faculty members instead (librarians)!
Their names are Raine and Fatima. Raine is a Contest Coordinator hopeful and Fatima is a Dark-type specialist who wants to become a trainer again after previously retiring.
Raine is one of my oldest OCs ever, so I really wish I could have done her justice and made more art for her, especially by completing her full-body ref. My chronic pain won yet again..
You can read an even more detailed description of my Pokemon OCs here on a carrd I made just for them! bask in my self-indulgence.

I will never shut up about one of the worst tropes in fiction THAT NOBODY TALKS ABOUT- and ahem the winner is: “Pairing off every main character, and I mean EVERY into a romantic relationship at the end of the story or sometime during the story” even if it makes no sense to the plot, or the character made it clear they aren’t interested in romance, all because some authors for some reason ( there actually is a reason but yknow ) think all the characters need to be paired off for a happy ending. Fandoms engage in this trope too sometimes and I very much so dislike it. And then there’s the weird cousin of this trope, “Most characters get paired off, but mostly the women, the men don’t need a partner and three kids, mainly just the women.” LOOKING AT YOU WARRIOR CATS DONT DENY IT YOU ARE GUILTY AS CHARGED.

Ostracized in the Layt0n fandom for being the only person who really doesn't like R/nlay
(Absolutely nothing wrong with it, I just don't like it. Ranh3n is my OTP and I love how they are so much I can't like either ships with them and I'm genuinely surprised they're not bigger than R/nlay given than Ranh3n has that flavor of codependent yaoi plus Henry "I built a city just for you while waiting over 18 years for you to return and being basically the only person who believed you'd come back and I kept some toy robot you gave me in pristine shape and immediately forgave you" L3dore)
